HuffPo has a lead article painting Hillary as a racist and I’m sure it’s being spread over the internet. (Top article on the Politics Page).

In addition to posting here, we must go to other sites and combat these lies. I’ve researched the following if you need data to post:

Bill Clinton appointed nine African Americans to cabinet posts. He also appointed Carl Stewart, the first African-American ever appointed to the Court of Appeals serving Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Bill appointed hispanics, Henry Cisneros, Federico Peña, Bill Richardson to caninet posts. Plus Castillo, the first Hispanic federal judge in Illinois, and Lisi and Currie the first women to serve on the federal trial benches in their states.

Maggie Williams, currently running Hillary’s campaign, served as chief of staff for Hillary Clinton when she was First Lady. Maggie Williams was the first African American woman to ever hold that position. Patti Solis Doyle was the first female Hispanic to manage a presidential campaign, she was recetly replaced by Maggie. Hillary hired Addisu Demissiem, a Yale graduate of Ethiopian descent, as her Political Director in Connecticut.

Hillary also hired African American Bob Nash as her deputy campaign manager. Nash had worked as the director of White House personnel for President Bill Clinton for six years. Also, Minyon Moore, former CEO of the DNC and White House advisor to Bill Clinton. Nash and Moore are two of about a dozen of African Americans in the Clinton inner circle.

Obama supporters:

Please name the African Americans in Obama’s inner circle of PAID advisors. Because every search I do turns up only white liberal advisors on his payroll.

The final straw for me was what they did to Geraline Ferraro …

They dug out her comments to a small town paper in CA and made a big race issue out of it one day before the Mississippi primary. He sure wasn’t concerned about giving her the benefit of doubt for a “clumsy” choice of words.

And then pretending to be above the race issue by giving his big race speech… — he is a hypocrite…

I will not only be supporting mccain if obama is the candidate , i will actively be campaigning and contributing to him..

There were two articles by Sean Wilentz on the race baiting issue that showed how dumb the whole thing was. It was clearly a way to make black people feel fine about being disloyal to Hill and Bill after all they had done. Scapegoated the issue by a hit job.

I am very glad that Hillary came out against the Michigan plan of awarding delegates today. And especially when Susan provided the evidence today that Obama surrogates did actually campaign for Obama in Michigan. It kind of takes the whole Obama wasn’t even on the ballot argument and rips it to shreds. But of course the Cult will continue their same mantra that Obama wasn’t even on the ballot so it can’t count. Just like the same Cultists will say that FLA and MI should be disenfranchised because they moved their primaries up against the rules. And they just totally ignore the fact that New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina broke the rules too. But of course if Donna Brazil and Howard Dean don’t care nothing matters in their eyes.

I fully expect that the Obama campaign will still play their silly disenfranchising games with Florida and Michigan. Nothing will change. But thank goodness that Hillary is doing the right thing standing up for the rights of voters in this country while the DNC acts like a fascist regime.

I thought exactly the same thing ( I even thought of volunteering!)- but, and most disturbingly, I’m not even sure why!

McCain’s platform positions aren’t anything like what I believe and that makes me worried that I am - or am becoming - a racist. A vote for Obama to me would be like taking everything I own and have worked for all my life into a casino and betting on a game I know nothing about. I’m not at all risk averse, but I believe in taking caculated risks not blind ones.

Maybe that’s why Obama’s supporters are largely young and/or disadvantaged - they have less to bet and less to lose. And the rest, I suppose, are either far-left idealists (who, by definition, bet recklessly) and people so wealthy they quite accurately regard themselves as largely untouchable - there’s always more where that came from and, if things should get tough, they can easily move to another country.

Viewed from this standpoint, it’s entirely understandable why working class people are not going to vote Obama, without giving any consideration whatsoever to the color of his skin.

If there’s one good thing that’s come out of Obama’s campaign - and the party leadership and media support of it - it’s that it has made people think. While I’m certainly not a Republican, my thought process has led me to believe that the Democratic Party is not where I belong either.

I have been talking about this “hostage” idea for quite some time myself, too. The supers have to see what we’re seeing-HRC is clearly the stronger, better, more qualified candidate, BUT Dems have gotten themselves in a predicament that they cannot now work themselves out of. They are scared to piss off black ppl, so they’d rather give him the nomination and lose in November, than admit that he’s weak and back the person they know will defeat McCain in the general (I’m black and I think this is absolutely ludicrous). But you know, why am I not surprised? Dems have a bad habit of doing this to themselves-like a Wall Street Journal article pointed out this morning, “Dems have a bad habit of falling in love w/the candidate who is untested and unvetter,” and ultimately that spells defeat in a general. No wonder Repubs have managed to win what, 7 out of the last 10 presidential elections?? I absolutely hate how the MSM is spinning this to benefit BHO. NO ONE expected HRC to win NC-like you’ve pointed out JC, it was an impossibility given the fact that blacks (who made up roughly 45% of the electorate) threw 92% of their support behind him. BUT, before y’day all of the pundits were saying how Indiana would be close, but how it would also be a tie-breaker and that BHO had the advantage going in to the contest there given the state’s proximity to Illinois and the fact that the NW corner shares the Chicago media market. BUT NOW, the pundits are saying something completely different (big surprise there, right?). No matter what HRC does, it’s simply not good enough for the MSM. BHO should have won Indiana and his campaign was predicting a 7-point win in the state. Now, suddenly, Indiana was always going to be a win for Clinton?!! Give me a freakin’ break BARACK!!! I’m so tired of this crap. I will NOT vote for him in the general election, bottom-line. Dems need to stop being so concerned about pissing off black people (12% of the national population) and start worrying about pissing off the majority population, and hispanics, and asians, and women (who traditionally make up roughly 60% or so of the democratic electorate). There is an obvious solution to the Michigan problem. The undeclared portion of the vote should be deep-sixed. Hillary’s portion should be allocated to Dennis Kucinich. Since Hillary is obviously toast, this move could represent an act of repentance for her miscellaneous sins of self-centred brutality against her party.
As for Florida, this matter should be submitted to the Extreme Court of the USA. This is a body which already has had superience with such cases and could prove it by coming to its verdict at 3 am, the time at which Hillary is used to receiving bad news on the telephone.
Another option - an offer that Hillary cannot refuse. Hillary closes down her campaign, offers fealty to Obama, and generally stops yacking and waving her arms. In return, she is allowed to use her votes as trading points at Wallmart. She could use the votes to buy some lovely baggage or some new pant suits or a bush sapling or two. Let’s give these ideas and some others a lot of thought - or just enough that we come to a consensus by the time Obama is sworn in.

I truly think nobody ever thought out the outcome of how the DNC “rules’ in a scenario such as this one. The rules do say the re-vote can be done, it is just Obama won’t agree to it. For someone so intent on creating unity this does not match up. In reality he is a liar for saying he is for unity.
The Democratic party has, along with Obama, destroyed itself by not thinking about the big picture that it creates by not counting the votes.With the past failures we have had, it is not time to add onto them.
I will not be a part of the Democratic party until I see that it really stands for what it is supposed to be about.They, as well as the pundits, all seem to think we will come together and vote for someone who actually steals the vote from the American people.
And finally, let’s get these crazy rules thrown out. Let’s make it simple.

In the end, if Obama refuses to redo the Michigan election, Hillary supporters are going to perceive Obama as having won the primary election by bullying Hillary.

And, they are going to perceive it as a sexist issue (women’s suffrage, women’s right-to-work, equal pay, etc.), where a dominant male refuses to treat a woman with equality and respect.

So many people will turn against Obama when they realize 6′1″ bully became the democratic candidate only because he refused to hold a fair and democratic election in Michigan so those people’s votes will count.

Stated differently, it appears that Obama may only win the election by dividing the Michigan delegates in an undemocratic manner, rather than holding a democratic election and that will not sit well for Hillary supporters.

You are so right the DNC has done us a disservice but I try to find the “silver lining” in things and I find that this situation with Obama IS bringing many of us together from the Republican Party and Independents along with half the Democrats! WE are pulling together AGAINST what we see as a very bad choice for the USofA.
The MODERATES from both sides have been alienated by our parties. We ARE America, those of us that bust our butts everyday. Personally I think the term “lunch bucket” dems is damn offensive. I say we are the TRUE Progressives. The more they push her to get out, the more I am sure she will win. Hey, what about that debate Obama? Chicken?

The Michigan/Florida thing is pure desperation. Clinton wouldn’t care about MI/FLA if she were ahead.

And regardless it’s really not that close. Even if MI/FLA were counted as is, Obama would still be the winner.

Why are we still discussing this stupid primary and who should the nominee be. Please, please, please Sen Clinton, if you are listening, give the nomination to Sen Obama and run as Independent. We want you to continue fighting for us and deliver us from the radical Obama and Bush clone Mcain. We can do this without the help of the Democratic party. You already have a strong following plus a sure shot on winning Michigan and Florida. You also are assured of the majority of working class white, hispanics and asians (remember CA).
