A TV talk show host playing at politics is always at more risk than a politician playing at politics. Politicians don't have to worry about ratings. I went to a Marianne Williamson lecture last week. Marianne is a frequent guest on Oprah's tv program, and one of "Oprah's Friends Network" on XM radio. She teaches "A Course in Miracles" (for those who aren't familiar with her). Marianne has a new book out, and she does 3 hour lectures (admission by paid ticket only) during these tours. Near the end of the lecture, Marianne built in some 15 minutes to stump speak for Obama. She knew she had to be careful, we paid to attend, and we did not pay to attend a campaign rally, but that didn't stop her.
