These are Barack Obama’s Supporters
By SusanUnPC on May 11, 2008 at 11:18 PM in Barack Obama, Daily Kos
From a diary at the orange place titled, “Cheers to Hillary is 44, Taylor Marsh and MyDD“:
[...] [S]ome of Clintons “supporters” managed to do what the Clinton campaign could not, assure us a true candidate for change in the general.
Thank you for turning off numerous Super-Delegates with your threats to vote McCain. Thank you for revealing the depth of your disdain for our electoral process by feeding the likes of Hannity and Fox News.
Thank you for revealing your racial bias by referring to commentators as “brillo head”, Obama as “Osama” and for attempting to marginalize the votes of hardworking African American citizens. [WHAT? NEVER THAT I'VE SEEN ANYWHERE! HAVE YOU? ANY OF YOU? IF ANYONE SAID THAT HERE, THEY'd BE BANNED IN A HEARTBEAT.]
I don’t include good and reasonable Clinton supporters such as Trix and others in this thank you. But for Jerome Armstrong and others who insisted on making statements such as “He is unelectable”, thank you. You managed to create an atmosphere of hate so great that many good Clinton supporters, Super Delegates and voters could take no more.
Now watch “Hope” win the nomination, win the general, and bring this nation together, without absorbing or condoning such destructive behavior.
As I watch the Supers roll in for Obama I wish I could buy you all a round of Kool-Aid.
THE REALLY rich stuff - including quoting Mao (!) — is in the comments section, where Larry Johnson and I are named, as well as Taylor Marsh and (astonishingly) Jerome Armstrong, who co-authored a book with Kos:
We need to separate the 90% of Clinton supporters who are indeed good logical people and the Kool Aid Cultists like Jerome, Alegre, Lanny Davis, Susan Hu and Taylor Marsh.
The quicker we ditch these cancers, the better we all are.
I shall not rest until right wing conservatives are 4th party gadflies limited to offering minor corrections on legislation once or twice a year.

“We must separate loyal party members from counter-revolutionaries. The first shall inherit our glorious future. The second must be purged from us and history”.

::::::::::::::
I guess it is excrement like these people that Barack Obama is going to bring into his big new tent when he takes over the Democratic Party.
And this?
“We need to separate the 90% of Clinton supporters who are indeed good logical people and the Kool Aid Cultists like Jerome, Alegre, Lanny Davis, Susan Hu and Taylor Marsh.”
Preceded by a quote from Mao? You’ve got to be kidding me! Is that what this country is going to be returned to?
I’m proud — PROUD — to be in such company. As Larry once said, rather famously, “FUCK KOS.”

The call to exterminate Clinton supporters does not surprise me, for all Obama partisans are violent.
they exterminated us out of all of the democratic blogs.
They started by harassing, and eliminating posting rights, then when some remained, they threatened to “out” them.
Democratic Underground did basically the same, and all that remains in their political blog, are Obama supporters echoing each other. The Clinton supporters are out.
For a while, MyDD was a refuge for Clinton supporters. Then mysteriously, people like FleaFlicker, found themselves suddenly unable to post. This happened to me as well.
They hijacked our democratic blogs, and they are now hijacking democracy.
I left my beloved DU after 7 years because of the constant and vicious attacks on me by the OBama supporters… and this was earlier in the primary, when John Edwards and everyone else was still in there. The Clinton supporters did NOTHING to deserve that treatment, but the Ohbama supporters came out swining.
The Edwards supporters, I’d noted, were always pretty positive, the Hillary supporters were mostly positive, but after so many attacks some began sticking up for themselves. Most of us just left. DU was my sanity when Bush was innagurated instead of Gore, and they got me through 9/11, and many other tragedies around the world. We’d celebrated births and good news, and we rallied around each other during the deaths of some DU members. I was sick to see I was no longer welcome there..
I want my PARTY back!!
I was really suprised to see DU turn into a place where only around 50% of the registered Democrats are welcome. When you consider just how man “new” Democrats Obama has brought to the table, it’s even less then that.
Which makes me really wonder just why these “new” Democrats are somehow more important then those of us that have been Democrats for years. Where have these new people been? What took them so long to become Democrats? Where were they in the build up to the 2004 Presidential election? Maybe if some of these Kool-Aid drinkers had gotten off the fence and helped us elect an electable candidate then, we wouldn’t have gotten stuck with Kerry.
ME TOO. I have been a member of DU since they started after the 2000 election theft. I probably know you.:) I’m here under a different screen name. I see flyarm and fooj are here too! I’ve known them both for YEARS.
I had to leave. I knew some people there were radicals, but they usually hung out in the I/P dark hole dungeon most of the time. I never thought I’d see the day that Skinner would allow the Obamarhoids to take it over. I’m finished with DU until Hillary wins the nimination and then I MAY go back to rub it in their faces.:)
I hear you loud and clear. DU was a great place and kept me sane during the Bush years. Now, it’s horrible. I don’t feel like I’m a part of my party anymore. The Hillary bashers in DU are vile. The things some of these people like “Frenchy Cat” get away with saying are repulsive.
I can see DU itself getting T/S’d soon. They’ll never see another dime from me.
The only places I have been unable to post are taylor marsh and hillaryis44 - why is that?
I believe it is a result of your inability to offer anything remotely interesting to any discussion on politics.
No that would be an accurate description of you and all the other Obama trolls. Instead of working for your candidate you are so stupid that you insult people that will help to defeat your candidate if they should be alienated enough. And many Hillary Supporters are that alienated. But keep it up Troll, the more people you alienate the happier many of us will be.
We may dislike McCain, at least I do, but I hate Obama and his supporters with a passion.
OBAMAS’ SUPPORTERS WILL HIJACK THE VOTING MACHINES AS WELL…
FASCISM…..BERLIN 1933…..
I agree. these folks sound worse than republicans in their tactics. they are truly scary. Anybody But Obama folks - don’t forget - you have safe harbor at savagepolitics.com too!
Nah. They are controlled by republicans. If there’s any fixing going on it will be for them.
Or maybe they can hire the mayor of Gary Indiana to count the votes for them.
This appears to be your basic panic attack by Obama supporters. Someone finally ran the numbers, perhaps in the SuperDelegates perhaps Kos he’s actually competent with polling advice, so someone ran the polling numbers as they affect the EC. You remember that venerable institution.
And…..
Barry come up snake eyes vs. McSame. Go look at the upper corners of MyDD. Play around with FL and MI.
Then check out this guy who ran over 10,000 Monte Carlo sims:
http://hominidviews.com/?p=1509
Note: Barry’s position is getting worse.
The shock must be profound. I know it was when I told my D/L meatspace folks that Barry was a certain loser to McSame. And these are mostly Edwards supporters to begin with. They don’t want to vote for Barry but because the MSM sez, ‘Barry be the winnah!’ They’ve internalized it. I had a wonderful two hours confronting six people on everything from the scientific method, evolutionary psychology, Hitler, ‘bitterness’ and a raft of shit that Barry has stirred up.
In the end they were reduced to buh….buh…..buh….
The clincher? It’s clear as the nose on yer face that the MSM wants Barry.
Knowlegeable Dems know that means there is indeed something rotten in Denmark.
And now that the Oborg see their dream slipping away because ‘The One’ looks to be….
Well, the two words used by the bloggers I know who know ‘the math’ on this are:
‘Dukakis’
and:
‘McGovern’.
So the panic has set in. So what. Markos if yer readin’ this I’d keep those sports blogs of yours ticking over ’cause pal….
dKos is done….toast…burnt…fried…..ovah!
It won’t be long before folks will be saying….Kos? Who is that? Because Mr. Great Orange Satan…..
Americans have no use for losers.
.
When all is said and done in November, and Obama loses by a landslide due to his and his supporters’ race-baiting and arrogance, DKos will become the place for irrational excuse-makers whining about why they lost.
And they’ll blame everyone except themselves.
Even at Hullabaloo, under a diary posted by dday admiring Matt Stoller’s “Obama machine taking over the party” meme, comments included “Feminist white women aren’t shit.”
Foolish foolish foolish.
And they claim to want “unity.”
I think we all know who will have rendered the Democratic Party divided, ineffective, and out of office.
They don’t want “unity”. They want to get their way. I saw this kind of crap 40 years ago. If you weren’t with them, you were against them. If you did not agree you were purged. Fanatics are always the same no matter what part of the political spectrum they infest.
I am really coming to believe, and I find this astonishing, that it would be best for the country if McCain wins if Obama is the nominee. I can’t believe I just typed that. I cannot believe it.
Amazing, isn’t it, Marge, that perceptions will be that McCain is MORE moderate than Obama and his radical supporters.
But Americans do not fall, as a majority, into either far-left or far-right.
They fall into the middle, leaning left or right.
Forasmuch as I personally despised Richard Nixon, his “Silent Majority,” per 1972 landslide election, was a correct assessment of the American people.
The more Obama’s supporters present themselves as radical left, riots in Denver, yada yada, the more Americans move away from them.
If any of these “youngsters” supporting Obama had actually READ some political history, they’d understand that their own comments/behavior will result in their own defeat.
Americans don’t LIKE people who threaten to riot if they don’t get their way. And Americans don’t like party leadership that craters to those threats.
Bottom line.
They are operating on the assumption that Whomever Screams The Loudest Wins. I am pleased. This is a remake of the McGovern movie.
That same assumption gave us Tricky Dicky, did it not? People were tired of riots and unrest. Many of the voters that Obama would need if he were the nominee are people, like myself, who are old enough to remember those days. And we don’t want a repeat. Especially over a candidate that we don’t support or like.
I wonder that I stayed a Democrat for as long as I did. I don’t usually care much for people that are corrupt, lack integrity, and whose only real talent is for losing elections. (Except for that evil Bill Clinton of course. The only two term Democrat in the last 40 years.)
“…Bad reasoning….as well as good reasoning….is possible…and this FACT is the foundation of the practical side of logic”

IT IS THE SLOGAN OF THE SIMPLEMINDED….

Mmmmmm, brain food. Sounds like my type of debate.
Links to these snakepits? Especially now since the concert is over, and adults have to do the real nomination work?
Checked out the Clinton vs. McCain analysis:
http://hominidviews.com/?page_id=1160
He running historical averages of EC votes, and it shows time and time again, moderates win the day. Especially moderates who are more like 99.9% of the population they serve — not Moonbats.
Nice to see a more scientific analysis, and not one just talked down to us, you know “down-scaled” folks they think can’t understand these things.
I don’t think BraveheartDC is a nitwit. I think she/he was pointing out the absurdity of the statement by Dave from Queens. I think you read it wrong and owe Braveheart an apology.
So one question, how do these high school and college kids expect to pay the bills of the Democratic Party and fund things when mommy and daddy are broke because of Obama’s lousy economic plans, by shared wealth in a democratic communist society?
Irony is dead
I’d wager for some of these people it never existed.
Irony? Your head is so far up your ass you wouldn’t know the difference between a fake messiah and a shitty candidate. That bubble you’re living in is stinking up the place, so shoo little Oborg.
Thank you for revealing your racial bias by referring to commentators as “brillo head”, Obama as “Osama” and for attempting to marginalize the votes of hardworking African American citizens.
I do remember one person, however, who referred to the Senator from Illinois as “Osama”:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APx2YJ-_jos
Maybe they should be picking on old Teddy Boy?
But one cannot ask Obamabots to be consistent.
very good blueasthesky! thank you for remembering this! great laugh. poor uncle teddy, to him all arabs look alike.
Kookie little things can’t tell what’s up, and what’s down.
That kind of thinking, like K**, lil grandiose Napoleons, and next thing you know, they’ll be wanting to start wars with Iran.
This is the new democratic coalition?
LOLOLOLOLOL
And they don’t get it.
As if any INTELLIGENT person would WANT to be around a marginal loser like K**, anyone with a career to protect.
See how they think they’re the center of the world, this nothing more than a game, as opposed to a situation where the decisions they make will impact their lives in ways they can’t comprehend?
Narcissistic children.
I always think of that song from Paul Simon, “You can call me Al”
Kos supports Obama for one reason and one reason only: Axelrod cash, which is distributed by none other than Antoin “Tony” Rezko and Nadhmi Auchi. Also keep in mind that Kos and Arianna Huffington were recently Republicans.
And I was recently a Democrat. Oh, well. If BO steals the nomination, I’ll vote for some Dems - those who supported her.
There are going to be lots of unhappy shitheads who foolishly think I’m going to keep dispensing cash like an ATM.
After this one state wonder, maybe next time they’ll think twice before they send-up a crook with terrorist friends.
But I doubt it.
How about a Populist Party for the majority of Americans?
I was going to say these ultra left whackjobs need to form their own party, but you’re right, the dems have become so corrupt and have so lost their way, those of us reasonable, rational folks need to forge ahead and create a better, brighter future. let them run the titanic into the iceburg we need NO part of it. thank goodness we have lifeboats like noquarter and savagepolitics.
You found it, I’ll follow it. Clinton/Edwards leading the ticket. Wonder how that would swing as a third party?
The links just won’t post. Must be a Kos allergy. lol.
I mailed them to larry.

What the Obamites can’t see or wont see is that I am voting for someone other than Obama NOT because of some resentment.
I will not vote for Obama because of OBAMA.
OBAMA is the problem. I am a Democrat 2ND, an American FIRST. My problem is with the man himself. The information we all have about his judgement and background is disgusting. I do not want HIM to be President. Yes, that is more important than the Democratic Party.
The Cheetos Colored Blog and Huff and Olbermann and the rest REFUSE to question Obama on the most basic issues. This is dangerous. It is Anti-American. It is MAOIST.
It is the behavior of a cult.
This is not a “bad mood” Clinton supporters are in. It is a sea change.
Obama is the problem. Not a “bad mood”. Unless the nominee is someone other than Obama - 30-50% will leave the Democratic Party. Not out of spite - OUT OF WISDOM.
I am not voting for Obama because my principles won’t allow it. I won’t vote McCain because I’m against Obama, its because my principles won’t allow me to vote for him. Its simple: I don’t vote, or I write in HRC.
And that is what Donna Brazille and Howard Dean are counting on….That the other 2/3 of the traditional democratic base stay home….or vote Nader…..What if this shit continues to November….McCain and Obama neck and neck….No clear winner ?
write in HRC, vote nadar, or bite the bullet and vote McCain - but please VOTE! Staying home plays right into Obama’s hands.
“…..Citizens who so value their ” independence ” that they will not enroll in a politicl party are really forfeiting independence….
Because they abandon a share in decision-making at the primary level…..the choice of the candidate…” Bruce L. Felknor. Dirty Politics.
** IMHO…MAKE YOUR MESSAGE COUNT IN THE GE IF OBAMA IS THE NOMINEE….MAKE SURE THE DNC HEARS IT LOUD AND CLEAR **
Think about it…..
WCA, I realized over the weekend that if I DON’T vote for McCain, Obama might be president. I must have seen that reasoning before, probably a lot, but it didn’t actually hit me until a couple of days ago.
I have to ask myself, and I am, or used to be, a yellow dog Democrat: Am I willing to risk Obama getting into office?
I’m still freaking out with the answer. It might involve (gulp) voting for a R-R-R…oh, geez, a moderate Republican (who’s trying to appear a little farther right right now, to attract votes).
Dear Lord. Please let Senator Clinton be the nominee!
Remember: Only 2209 delegates is legit!
Talktruth…I sympathize with your dilemma ( a situation requiring a choice between equally undesirable alternatives..Random house dictionary ) Voting republican for me goes against the grain so to speak….I am a life long democrat.
I have had to move beyond my historical party affiliation and my desire to see reforms on the democratic party platform to expand my consideration…..As these are not ordinary times, they require extrordinary concentration of the bigger picture….
OBAMAS’ CANDIDACY REPRESENTS AN EXTRAORDINARY THREAT TO THE FOUNDATION OF OUR CURRENT POLITICAL SYSTEM…
Now the argument can be made that since 2000 the GOP represents a similar threat…..
This is not a specious argument…It is more a matter of degree…
It is my belief that the racism inherent in many of OBAMAS supporters and the RADICAL associations he has is the greater threat…..IT IS FASCISM….IT IS UNSTABLE…IT IS RADICAL….
OBAMA REPRESENTS THE GREATER UNKNOWN….THE GREATER THREAT….HE HAS ALREADY DEVIDED THE PARTY…. HOW MUCH GREATER CAN THIS DEVIDE EXPAND….DOES HE SEEK TO REPRESENT ALL OF US….
So I ask myself which is the greater threat….and I look to the lessons of history….I am not a racist but I have to assume that a candidate who surrounds himself with racists has sympathy for the cause of racists….I have to assume that a candidate who surrounds themself with foreign corruption is tainted by that corruption….OBAMA IS A HYPOCRITE…
I see so many similarities in the rise of OBAMA to the rise of SIMILAR FASCISTS….that for me it is very clear….
IF VOTING FOR McCain WILL STOP THIS DEMAGOGUE FROM ASCENDING TO THE MOST POWERFUL POLITICAL OFFICE IN OUR COUNTRY…I WILL DO IT….TO ME IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY…
** OBAMA THROUGH HIS TACTICS AND HIS HISTORY ( what we know of it ) HAS DEMONSTRATED THAT HE IS THE GREATER THREAT…**
As these are not ordinary times, they require extrordinary concentration of the bigger picture….
Thanks, WCA. You’ve hit the nail on the head. It all boils down to that thing that BO so sorely lacks: JUDGMENT!
I’ve always felt that the greatest strength of the Democrats is not to walk in lockstep, but to take each situation individually. It’s one of the things that makes us seem scattered, but intelligent people can do no less. And that brings us back to your very concise appraisal:
As these are not ordinary times, they require extrordinary concentration of the bigger picture….
Hopefully, we won’t have to make that decision!
THis is true. If we don’t vote at all, we just support the shibboleth that Obama motivates voters in a way that Clinton doesn’t.
I love how turn out was up .way up, in Indiana, which Hillary won, and the blogs attributed it to Obama. We can’t win for winning!
I agree. If Hillary is not the Democratic nominee there is no reason for myself and family to be Democrats any more. This isn’t said out of spite or anger, it is said in the same way Republicans say that they didn’t leave their party, their party left them. Obama and his faux motivation-speaker persona is so obviously unqualified that I can’t believe the leaders of any party could be so dumb and I really don’t want to be associated with jaw-droppingly stupid people.
Well said, John Smart. My choice of Hillary for President is based on my detached judgment and yet Obama supporters seem to take it as a personal affront. That’s what I don’t understand about this whole scenario. Why do Obama’s people take my support of Hillary so personally? My support of Hillary seems to hurt them on an emotional level. Why are they so defensive?
‘Cause they know their candidate ain’t shit.
Absolutey what you said… I dont’ support Obama because of Obama. I am concerned about our security and economy, and I don’t believe he has the ability to do the job. He’s not ready for prime-time. He’s a small time politician that has been vaulted into this because he wrote a few books.. bfd.
The problem that Dean & the Elites have not considered is that their changing the rules and rearranging things to suit Obama is meaningless when he would be running against a guy that’s seen a moderate, independent, and likable. I dont’ believe he’s really those things, but public perception is everything. Has Dean asked himself WHY would any voter take a chance of a totally questionable and unproven jr. senator in our current climate if a seemingly moderate and proven politician like McCain is available for the job?
Hillary is the answer… the Party has left us.
I’m concerned about the security of our country, not just because BO is inexperienced but also because he is in bed with terrorist sympathizers. Just look his cronies advising him, giving him money - Zogby, Soros, Khalidi, Ayers, Malley, Wright, Meeks. All these people hate AM and have strong ties to racist radical groups. This is what scares me!
Obama couldn’t get security clearance to work as a defense contractor on a military base with his associates — this would be my guess. What I’m saying is that his associates and background would be checked — his word alone would not be trusted. And they’d check his wife and HER friends.
Speaking of Mao, some Bots are not unlike Red Guards. The the similarity of purging against dissents is uncanny.
They are BROWN SHIRTS…..Berlin 1933…..Hitler took over his party too…
Much like this propaganda poster:
http://www.1930shanghai.com/items/368839/item368839store.html
Complete with head trophies (then they wondered what inspires the Japanese soldiers in 1937?).
I swear, it’s like dealing with the Bushbots all over again, except it’s our side. I am so sad. I would never wish for the death of anyone, even a Bushbot. But they WANT TO KILL US BECAUSE WE WON’T VOTE FOR BARKY?! Damn. Just damn. You would think I killed their mothers…wait, aren’t true liberals against the death penalty? I’m so confused.
The word is TERRORISTS, nothing more!
This is called terroristic threatening. In some states there are laws against this sort of HATE speech.
You’re right, Strawberry.
When I think of the wingnut mob that descended on the Florida recount, and then compare the leftwingnuts at DKos descending on any Hillary supporter posting there, I see little difference.
When I see the media willfully trashing Clinton for any little verbal gaffe and letting Obama slide for same (57 states, etc), I see the same media that trashed Gore to promote our current President FlightSuit.
Frank Rich, Maureen Dowd, Chris Matthews, Tim Russert, Markos Moulitsos, Arianna Huffington, Josh Marshall: ALL of them trashed the Clintons in the 90’s, effusively praised George W. Bush over Al Gore, enthusiastically supported the Iraq invasion and bashed anyone who disagreed.
Why anyone would trust their judgement NOW is a wonder to me.
I don’t trust them - they have been corrupted by the influence they hold as journalists. Who I really blame though are the ignorant, gullible Americans who REFUSE to use their critical thinking skills. Why are so many people willing to swallow BS hook, line and sinker without asking a few questions first. That’s the tragedy.
cc the Average American does not get that involved in politics. They watch and they judge based on their own best interests, values and opinions. Then they pick what they often perceive is the less of two evils. Then they go to the polls. The next day, they get up and go to work. Some things scare them and drive them away. The average 19 year old does not perceive the same way the average 40 year old does. They put a stop to absurdity because they are adults and that is what adults reflexively do. They are also a lot quieter than their kids are, but one this is for sure: they vote. And when they do, they vote against that which scares them, however you want to analyze it. That is how George McGovern lost in a huge way. The silent majority always decides. I wouldn’t worry if I were you. Annoying as he is to us, They will decide. Barack Obama will never be president. He either goes down now or he goes down later. And the next day, the silent majority will get up and go to work, just like always.
How badly McGovern lost? This badly…
Richard M. Nixon
Electoral vote: 520
States carried: 49
Popular vote: 47,168,710
Percentage: 60.7%
George McGovern
Electoral vote: 17
States carried: 49 1+DC
Popular vote: 29,173,222
Percentage: 37.5%
Yep, looks like Nixon’s ghost has come back to haunt not only McGovern, the DP.
…Link banning Wikipedia now? AGH!…
Oops, that’s “States carried: 1+ DC” for McGovern.
Carter did even better in 1980, despite all the damage Teddy threw.
Now Teddy is someone who should be purged from the party. That fat ass is a major hypocrite. Always was. He loves the poor just so long as they live FAR FAR away from him. He “champions” women and then boinks anything that moves. He even squashed a windmill project because he realized he might be able to see them at a distance from his own estate. The man is morally bankrupt. That guy isn’t even going do die first before he goes to hell. He’s going to be sucked down bodily.
IN MY HUMBLE OPINION….OBAMA and his supporters work so outside the political spectrum that any comparison to Bush et, al. is irrelevant and perhaps even wishful thinking….The truth is we do not know….
If there is to be an historical comparison it is outside our own American History….
OBAMA ATTENDED A RACIST CHURCH FOR OVER 20 YEARS = FACT
THIS CHURCH AND IT’S DEMAGOGIC PASTOR IS BLACK SEPARATIST=FACT
BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY IS THEOCRATIC, RACIST & MARXIST = FACT
BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY IS POLITICALLY ALIGNED WITH THE NEW BLACK PANTHERS…THE NATION OF ISLAM… AND PROMOTES AFROCENTRIC SOLUTIONS BOTH SOCIALLY AND POLITICALLY = FACT
LIBERATION THEOLOGY PROMOTES MARXIST SOCIO-ECONOMIC CLASS WARFARE = FACT
OBAMAS’ ENTIRE RELIGIOUS AND POLITICAL IDOCTRINATION IS THROUGH HIS ASSOCATIONS WITH RADICALS AND FASCISTS = FACT
13% OF THE US POPULATION DOES NOT REPRESENT A MAJORITY = FACT
CONCUSION…..OBAMA IS A FASCIST EVEN IF HE SAYS HE IS NOT…
** JOHN McCAIN MAY BE MANY THINGS….BUT HE IS NOT DICATOR MATERIAL….HE IS AN AMERICAN….WITH A DEMONSTATED RECORD OF SERVICE…**
I hate to tell the writer of that article but the Kool Aid doesn’t work over here. I’ve been around the Democratic Party for a LOOONG time/get around to a lot of Clinton fundraisers. I can tell you that the Obamanots are going to be in for a BIGGG surprise if they think that a huge majority of Clinton supporters will coalesce around Obama if he’s the nominee. I’m not quite sure what planet they live on but I will give them a one word answer… MCGOVERN! The man was handed his ass on a plate and I am sure that it’s going to repeat itself this year. As for me, I voted Republican the last time in 1980 and history, again, will repeat itself if Obama is on the Dem ticket! Obama is a HUGE National Security threat to the USA! I’m not willing to even think about risking it so McCain is a safe bet for me!
I agree 100 percent!
Totally agree. Obama is a threat to this nation. He will throw our biggest ally in the Middle East, Israel, to the wolves of Hamas all for the sake of trying to appease Iran.
“….We are going to see increasing efforts by the Islamic world to win the hearts and minds of the American People….Since Muslims have the financial capacity…and the growing appreciation of the importance of public opinion in the West….THERE WILL BE TREMENDOUS INVESTMENT BY ISLAMIC STATES IN ALL FORMS OF INTERVENTION IN AMERICAN SOCIETY…. From the hiring of Public Relations Firms….TO MASSIVE SUPORT OF POLITICAL CANDIDATES…”
MARVIN ZONIS. ” ISLAM ” THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO MAGAZINE. SEPTEMBER 1980
This was written in 1980….Have we not seen this come true…..
The author of the article you cite, Morgan Sandlin, resides in New Mexico.
Maybe he’s a neighbor of the traitor Bill Richarsoldout!
Methinks he has a bit of a surprise coming in return for his “loyalty”.
Has anyone (except maybe trolls) ever referred to Obama as “Osama” or “Brillo head” on this blog? I haven’t seen it happen.
Well they had to make SOMETHING up. After all, how else are they going to counter discussing slitting Hillary’s throat and tossing her into the river?
I think we ought to go over there and tell them to Iron our shirts.
I didn’t think so. So all they are skilled at is making up shit. (Sorry for the language, but in this case I mean it literally.)
Those violent posts were also on Obama’s campaign web site.
The article is so mixed. Taylor Marsh has a very pro-Hillary group who over-react like a gang. They interact with each other via comments, and go behind the blog to each other to create a 2 (or more)-against-1 bully campaign. They consistently run off solid Hillary supporters just because they suggest they calm down and think before they act. They had huge posts providing email addresses to all the SD’s, and then they’d post their rabid email message to them and get kudos from their fellow gang members. It is awful to see Hillary supporters behaving so badly. It doesn’t take much to get the media, and the Obama supporters to point out the worst of the Clinton campaign, and they just keep handing them embarrassing proof.
Today Taylor put up a post on the subject of civil discussions and her bigger bully group instantly started listing their excuses and entitlements followed by encouraging behind the scenes communications claiming they were being kicked off the site for bad behavior and needing to figure out where to go. Must be embarrassing for Taylor who is so clearly civil and democratic.
i have never seen it. I’ve been on here faithfully, and on Taylor Marsh often. When someone goes there with anything close to that, I know that I shudder and ignore the person. Frankly, when I see any supposed Hillary supporter using any offensive terms, I just assume they’re either republicans or obamabots trying to make us look bad. But no.. I’ve never seen either of those words used here.
Now this one takes the cake….TaylorMarsh has the most vile hatred on obama and his family than anything I have seen…even worse than here. you can call me a troll and I’ll get lost, but you must be shuddering and ignoring throoughout reading her blog because it is ALL hate for Obama and absolute adoration for Hillary - talk about kool aid!
Brillo-head is a complement compared to what they over at TM usually call him.
Yep you ARE a Troll.
Good - bye — stinky for Barky.
Oh please , Ellen.
The vile hatred for Hillary Clinton all over the Obama blogs is truly despicable.
It is the Obama supporters who have trashed our party “unity.”
Get over yourself, darlin. NObody ever called Michelle Obama a “c*nt” like they did Hillary.
Clean up your own house before you attack someone else’s , please.
Log in your own eye, and all that.
Don’t look so sad, Taylor said she’ll go after McInsane if Obama is elected.
To me, that would be defending Obama, but it’s that party fever stuff. :/
Ellen - That is a BOLD FACED LIE. Taylor Marsh has ALWAYS based her comments and statements on the ACTIONS of Obama and or Michelle not on the color of their skin. Everyone is accountable for their ACTIONS - you don’t get off the hook BECAUSE of the color of your skin which is what most of the media and Obama want us to believe. Obama chose to endorse Rev. Wright by supporting him and his cause financially for 20 years, publicly (giving speeches barely 1 year ago saying “He is a great leader for not only Chicago but for the entire country.”) and politically (5 months ago Obama personally placed Rev. Wright on his Presidential Election Committee). If Hillary endorsed the leader of the KKK financially, publicly or politically she would be held accountable. Those saying we the public should NOT hold Obama accountable to the same standard are the TRUE RACISTS for the only reason not to do so would be what?…THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN AND THAT, IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF RACISM.
Never seen those comments here or at Taylor Marsh. Haven’t been to every pro Clinton blog, but can’t imagine River Daughter or the other putting up with those comments either.
Think Osama has been said, but not “brillo head”.
I use SOS pads instead.
Incredible bunch of savages. Mao! ROFL! I’m cracking up here! 90%? That’s optimistic isn’t it?
Hey Clinton supporters! There you go! Hop right over there. I just Know 9 out of 10 of you will feel safe with these animals.
Damn I didn’t get named. I shall have to work harder.
I’ve never read Kos, but after what I’ve heard about it here I never will.
The idiots that come here like Home Alone Kevin and Ricky Retardo aren’t winning anyone over.
Kos makes Hannity’s forum look like a nunnery.
It used to be Hannity and DU would duke it out, but even DU on a worst day never approached the vileness the Kossacks post daily.
I lasted about 3 days at DK. My nick is still there, but they blocked posting (figures as they’re so partisan to not even think straight).
And here’s the irony, Chris: By alienating the very people they need to schmooze and recruit, DKos has painted itself into its own little corner, preaching to their own hateful choir, rendering ANY influence they might have had in INCREASING Obama’s support, to nil.
It’s like the tree in the forest.
If Dkos speaks venom about Hillary, and no one hears it, what was the point?
Sad, really.
All the Kossacks care about is branding “D” only on their choice pets. They don’t care about any other opinion but their own, and aren’t interested in recruiting anyone but their own vile kind. More rabid the better.
I worked hard posting between the Darth and DU types (and getting some praise from one of the DU founders for backing him in some scuffles), and went over to DK to do the same. They weren’t interested in anything but to read their own tripe. Tried to warn them about their Kerry stragedy, but they were too into the mindless “ABB” mantra (which has been replaced now with the Obama one).
DK is like a post-MKULTRA experiment. It’s a training ground of the delusioned, to be set out on the public to try to brainwash them. They are into a world only of themselves. Sick mindset over there, sick, sick, sick.
DK has been obsessed with “winning” an election. By this Imean he wants to be the driving force behind a winner. He does not care about what the candidate stands for. He cares that he endorsed the candidate and that someone he “pushed” wins. That is all. In 2006 his only objective was prioving he could swing an election. However, 2006 the candidates he endorsed would have won anyway. Obama is his chance to prove that he can push an idealogical nightmare and still “win”. It is all about power. He has no moral vision, it is all about feeding KOS’s ego.
For the life of me, I do not understand why on earth Jerome Armstrong wrote a book with him.
Hillary is trying to save the Democratic Party from itself. A main core of Obama supporters are young and full of energy. Its up to us older Clinton supporters to patiently bring them along, so they don’t have to experience the heartbreak of losing the general election. Contribute at HillaryClinton.com. C’mon! I gave $220 three days ago. She needs us. Go Hillary!!
Off to camp X-Ray with you people!
I really believe Obamites have convinced themselves that we won’t vote for him out of spite.
more delusion.
I won’t vote for him because I know enough about him now to see him for what he is.
I am not voting FOR Obama. They can’t accept that. I repeat: the problem is not the race (Though the DNC is shameful). The problem is the man being forced on us.
Obama should not be President. I will not participate in the further destruction of my country with my vote.
the problem is Obama is incompetent, a liar, corrupt and very DANGEROUS to our national security.
I’m really puzzled with the mentality of the BO campaign, surrogates and also the supposedly DNC leaders. Their mean-spirited bashing had been relentless, they know it. How can they figure the majority of the 16.5 million people who voted for and supported Hillary would just ignore all that and vote for him in the GE. Sure there are a small number of political insiders, pundits, movers and shakers who will benefit if BO pulls it off. But the majority of democratic voters don’t benefit from his ploy. How could they not know that the more they bash and disenfranchise like this, the more they push HRC supporters toward McCain this year. It just doesn’t make sense.
I would say in part they’ve lost control, and perspective.
Unintended consequence.
Secondly, if the campaign is a mess at this point, and it is, they will never be able to handle the white house.
It’s why the marginal talent supports Obama, the republicans know they can take it, troll, one two three.
And they have.
But the republicans are being trolled, too, though the jet set can’t comprehend how, despite their very businesses being cracked, and set up.
An astute businessperson would be looking at how to maintain their company, not feed it until it dies, like an overdose of cocaine.
But I would suppose all that economic smurfing has also left them in a lurch, perhaps day to day, they need to bring in huge influxes of cash, to maintain the books, even though something is rotten under the foundation, financially, something they’re trying to hide, as to their own economic health.
It may be worse for them than I thought.
Good.
The Obama supporters work almost entirely on pure emotion(its also how Obama roped them in - by exploiting their emotional needs) as a result they aren’t too big on stuff that requires analytical thinking.
This is why they can think that pissing off the white working class along with women won’t have negative consequences for their boss.
Basically we’re dealing with upscale Moonies and Maoists.
-NCLB
-Iraq war authorization
-Patriot Act x2
-Kyl-Liebermann
-Trade w/ China
-A big donor/big state/always move to the “middle” philosophy that hurt the Democratic party and cost us multiple elections.
Careful analysis of Clinton’s record led me to Edwards. After he was out I voted for Obama. His voting record isn’t perfect either, but her NCLB vote made it impossible for me to vote for her.
I swear I just saw you say over in the other thread that you would vote for her if she were the nominee, presumably in an effort to shame us into the same decision. So I am a bit confused here. It’s impossible for you to vote for her but you would vote for her. Ok.
Just sayin’
Yikes is torn between the old bash Clinton with lies memo and the new make nicey-nicey kiss our arses memo.
Luke, the force is weak and tranparent.
There will be few crossovers, you already burned all your bridges mr. yikes.
And the only way to keep them involved is to keep them hating. Without anger and angst, they lose their base. Without an “us” against “them” mentality, they wander off. They have to zap them with koolaide and anger or they fall off to sleep and lose their little edgy nastiness.
The power brokers in the DNC believe they control Obama….
It is a fallacy that is defied by logic….
DENIAL AINT’ JUST A RIVER IN EGYPT….
When Adolf and the Brownshirts took over their party….I’m sure there were plenty of surprised former power brokers who were quickly dispsensed with….HITLER TOOK OVER HIS PARTY WITH A SURPISINGLY SMALL NUMBER OF CLEVER PEOPLE AND INCREASED HIS SUPPORT IN NUMBERS THROUGH EXTRAORDINARY PROPOGANDA THAT EXPLOITED AND MANIPULATED A NATION….HE WAS NOT EVEN A GERMAN…..HE WAS AUSTRIAN….HE DID THIS IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME….BERLIN 1933
One of the messages:
Now didn’t we tell them we don’t want their Nicey Nicey now that they saw the polls on how many of us will never vote for Barry? We don’t want them to be nice, the hypocrites. We want them to leave us the hell alone. They put the onus on themselves and we all know why. Screw em.
Thank God voting is private and not a caucus is all I can say.
The threat is not McCain. The promise is not to vote for Obama. McCain is just a possible name. Like Nader. Or writing in HRC. The reality is no vote for you.
No soup for you!
I think that guy ought to realize that no one threatened anyone. We’re just not voting for Obama PERIOD! I don’t see that as a threat… it’s just another case of playing the VICTIM which seems to be the American way anymore for many people. I guess Obama and his people are capitalizing on it to make us look bad… Hell, I have no remorse about not voting for Obama so it’s not working on me!
Make us look bad to who? Them? I never go to DKos. The only time I read anything there is when I see a link like in this diary. They are irrelevant to me. They are irrelevant to most of America. Do these jerks think that everybody in this country comes home from work and can’t wait to click on DKos or something? Most normal working people don’t even know he exists. The assumption that everybody in America is even thinking of hanging out at political websites of any kind is absurd and a reflection of exactly how self-absorbed they are. The majority of America doesn’t even know they are alive. They know Reverend Wright though. Go ahead. Ask a hundred strangers on the street if they know DKos. Then ask them if they know Reverend Wright. These people are in their own world.
Well said, Uppity.
The DKos community has forgotten the Silent Majority—whether one likes that term or not, it’s there—-and most of America doesn’t have a damm clue who DKos or Markos are. Couldn’t care less.
What America is watching is the Obama campaign falsely claiming that the Clintons are racists, and have played the race card.
But America knows better. The damage done to the Black community for playing that card will set back race relations for decades.
It can’t be undone by the Obamabots with more venom. Just makes it worse.
And their loyal supporter base grows smaller and smaller and smaller due to their own behavior.
They did it to themselves.
I think the person who quoted Mao was pointing out the exact same thing you are: talking about the elimination of anyone that disagrees with Obama’s New Party is frightening considering where we’ve heard similar sentiments before. Hence the reference and quote.
While we’re at it, I’ve been rereading some relevant literature lately and I think I may have found davefromqueens‘ handbook.
“Your name was removed from the registers, every record of everything you had ever done was wiped out, your one-time existence was denied and then forgotten. You were abolished, annhilated: vaporized was the usual word.”
“If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say this or that even, it never happened—that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death.”
1984
I just don’t see the hype in BO…..he lost me with the big rallies..and I’m a college student supporting HRC.. I don’t drink kool-aid.
Me too. Secretly, I was very impressed with his 04 convention speech. I started out thinking he was the cat’s ass. I remember being polled by Zogby and choosing him. But his rallies took on a very strange flavor. The same chants. The same vapid speeches with the catchy phrases. Reminded me of the Youth Movement of another time. It started to frighten me. The more he did it the worse it looked to me. I keep waiting for him to speak at a town hall or something. It didn’t happen. Not for a LONG LONG time. The man could only do these Chanting rallies. It just plain made me think of mind control.
JINMN..According to Obamas’ Ayatolloah….Rev. Wright…that is because you are using your left brain….The analytical side…..LOGIC….EUGENICS PREACHED BY REV. WRIGHT…..AND OTHER ASSORTED FASCISTS……
BO supporters think in Nov we will forget everything and vote for him. Lol. Tell that to Mi and Fl voters lol.
this is what terry mcauliffe said - and wolfson, lanny davis, kiki mclean - they all said it, check it out.

Didn’t someone use this term in a title and get called a racist?
yep. the historical references to 300 bc notwithstanding. yes. adnaseum.
This LaRouche article give some insight on Obama the Elmer Gantry candidate, and how it relates back to 1968. The Radical Baby Boomer characters are now in power and using the same tactics they did back then - ie. Dean. It’s really fascinating.

Will BO supporters vote for HRC if she gets the nomin..hmm.
Yes. I will, anyway.
Good. All Obama supporters should pledge to support Clinton.
I have.

You suck Barry!
I have to admit, the Obama writer really brought out the giggles in me. I know he was trying to be serious, but it had more of the Robin Williams effect. When he said, “Now watch “Hope” win the nomination, win the general, and bring this nation together, without absorbing or condoning such destructive behavior.” — I thought, “Okay, did this guy really not know his entire post was destructive behavior????” Because if he didn’t, he might also be using his stick deoderant for lip balm.
He reminds me so much of one of those evil aliens in a sci-fi flick. You know the type. At the very end of the movie, he holds out his hands like Jesus and says, “We have conquered you!” Afterwards, he looks straight into the camera and gives an evil, sneering laugh. And then POW! He gets wiped out with a nuclear bomb. Don’t those Obama people learn ANYTHING when they write those BITTER posts??
I don’t think this thing will be healed easily, if at all.
I’ve never seen such vitriol among partisans in 40 years of watching Democratic politics.
The internet is probably 75% of the cause of it.
Give children megaphones, and they’ll deafen you with them.
That said, It’s starting to remind me of ‘72 all over again.
And as Susan said, the “coarsening” of our society. Back in ‘72, we didn’t have a daily catalogue of sex, lies and videotape to fill our days and brains (TV was also educational — remember shows like “The Brady Bunch”; “Gilligan’s Island” and even “Batman” — heck, even the “The Carol Burnett Show”? All taught a form of morals/ethics for the kids, and our parents watched it with us). We could also leave our front doors unlocked, and kids could’ve played outside without their parents watching them like hawks, so some child molester wouldn’t snatch them.
That’s what happens when a society is TOO free; and not instilling some type of societal values; and teaching folks consequences of their actions. We have more money and services, but at the expense we can be murdered trying to gain them, by some teen thugs who watched 31 flavors of porn or, heck HBO, all night for years without a parent in sight (who probably was sexually abused by a peer on the playground, because that kid also got to watch 31 flavors of porn or, heck HBO……).
Society went from Puritan to heathen in a period of 40 years. Now it needs to get back to somewhere between the two, so we can have some semblence of decency (10 year-olds sexually abusing peers, and in public, is a new low, folks. It just didn’t “happen”, kids have to be TAUGHT such things).
Despite the environment Hillary grew up in, in the late 60s and 70s, she at least didn’t raise a Britney. To me how parent’s kids turn up, is an true indicator of who they are, and their own personal mores. I’m also sure elders look at Chelsea and see, “Yep, Hillary did a good job.” (a miracle, considering the schedule of these politicians, and even Bill’s escapades).
Media is but a vehicle for educating the masses. If it’s used to coarsen it, the result is a generation of Obamatics who think Obama is some “American Idol” (where’s that crass judge when we need him????).
Testing…
Think the flood control is turned on when the staff are in bed.
Just make sure to copy the post before hitting the “Add comment” button.
This flood control would’ve been fine if it didn’t refresh the page, causing the post to be lost. AJAX sucks, really sucks.
I was actually trying to post some KOS links of Kossaks saying they would vote for John McCain if Hillary were the nominee. Apparently it’s ok if THEY say it.
OMG!!!!
Linkys, please!!!
Tears For Fears - “Year of the Knife”
———————————————-
Hallelujah, the king is dead.
He said “Love was the Knife”
And now he’ll dream some magic queen
Might try and save his life
They say his famous final words
Came from the heart of the man
He made his bed on love denied
He played Jeckyll and Hyde till the day he died
Too late for the young gun
To lead a simple life
Too late for the young gun
This is the year of the knife, This is the year of the knife
This is the year of the knife, This is the year of the knife
This is the year of the knife, This is the year of the knife
See the mountains crumble
Feel the fire go cold
Summer will turn to winter
Love will turn to stone
They say his famous final words
Came from the heart of man
I made his bed on love denied
Now I ain’t gonna sleep tonight
Too late for the young gun
To lead a simple life
Too late for the young gun
This is the year of the knife, This is the year of the knife
This is the year of the knife, This is the year of the knife
This is the year of the knife, This is the year of the knife
I think the media are responsible for a large part of this disagreement. They coddled Obama and when they did choose to criticize him it was about what Wright said not what Obama said. They make it about personalities rather than the problems this country faces today.
I heard actual news reports on Friday that Clinton was quitting. This was hours after she gave a press conference saying the opposite. Actions like this, by the media, tend to lead to misunderstandings. I think that’s their role during this election.
To Obama supporters who liken us to Maoists they need to study a little history.
When you advocate “purging” people from the “party” because they don’t agree with you that is the essence of Maoism. Saying you’ll vote for a candidate of another party is not. So pot meet kettle.
This is SO 1972 all over again. I shall enjoy it.
First link on my link bar.
Reminds me everyday what to fight for, and it’s not a bunch of Commies or Maoists. Those two philsophies has killed more in the 20th century than Hitler, Tojo, Pot, Amin, Rwanda genocide combined. No way could I support Obama, let alone creepzoids who quote Mao as if he was a fashion statement — he murdered men, women and children in cold blood, a post-WWII Hitler. Those Kossack idiots would rather cry over Mao’s cousins, the Viet Cong (who also killed their own in droves), instead. >:(
There’s idealism, which is healthy if it’s checked with reality, and there’s clinging onto ideologies that failed, and failed at the expense of millions of lives. Kossacks can’t distinguish the two. Thus, why they’re so dangerous — a match to gasoline.
The problem is a lot of his younger supporters don’t even know who Mao was, and how destructive his policies were. They also idealize the 60s because they watched “Across the Universe” a couple times.
Agree with you mawm….Obamas supporters probably think The Cultural Revolution meant more art and better music….scary really….
Wow, the projection going on in that post is truly amazing. Almost every claim made is only true when used to describe KOS and the kool aid gang that is left there. They have become a caricature of a caricature.
I have no idea who this person is, but
Really? This is going to be your all consuming battle? Wow. Most people make those sorts of commitments about turning the tide on hunger, or poverty, or AIDS, or even abolishing the Electoral College — but this is going to be the issue that consumes davefromqueens time. Well, I suppose that’s more of a commitment to any issue that Obama’s ever made.
More they expose their true selves, the more Americans will see who they really are — and not let them anywhere near power (or even the TV remote control!).
Extreme partisanship is as bad as anarchy. Both aim to destroy civilization (everything this country has made since 1776 even), and to destroy that civilization to become beasts like them.
Don’t know about anyone else, but warts and all, I’d rather have a “Dead White Men” society than living in Somalia, in that anarchy “heaven”.
With all due respect, I don’t think the internet is 75% of the problem—although it is a good portion of it. I’ve been heavily involved in politics for 35 years, and I’ve never seen news anchors and journalists act in such an unprofessional and biased way as I have this past election. I gave up watching TV because almost all the hosts and panelists on the major talk shows are Obama fans. They don’t try to hide it, and what’s sad is that they’re not even embarrassed by their lack of integrity and honor. It’s certainly clear why Bush was able to get away with everything he did. There’s not been any media or journalistic integrity and oversight around for a long time. —Except of course for Helen Thomas and maybe a few others.
It’s a symptom of the disease called: tabloidism.
Once TV news switched to that format in the late 90s, it’s been downhill since.
They threw Dan Rather under the bus, because he wasn’t “hip”. He was a serious reporter, in an age where you have to smile and be “happy, happy” (or be like that old sour puss, Caffety — that “kewl” brand of quips that tarty kids use today).
I’m just waiting for the cheers of “Jerry!! Jerry!!” when pundits start throwing chairs and get into fisticuff over issues they’re “discussing”. Heck, even between co-anchors.
Unchecked behavior, brings us to this point. But do Dems have any stomach to address the social issues of checking such freedom, and revisiting some old skeletons?
Ah, we can’t even touch such topics, since the political climate is about other special interests, such as what Obama ate for breakfast (and how much it can sell on eBay).
We need to reclaim our party from the Neoliberals.
It’s not just the presidency at stake here. Obama will tank down ticket too. It will be 2004 all over again.
At this rate it’s either ‘68 or ‘72 again. Just depends on how much the Black voting block, aided by neo-hippies, are itching for another riot. The WTO riots gave those neo-hippies a la anarchists some training, afterall.
I’ll share my bunker with other non-radicals if that’s the case.
The Democratic Party deserves what it is going to get in the general election if Obama happens to be at the helm. Maybe the party will finally learn its lesson. After the party experiences a stunning defeat, (stunning because it Democrats should have been a shoo-in this year), it may be a good time to cleanse the DNC of the ultra-liberal elitists and faux progressives who have repeatedly done more harm than good to the party. This group is the spoiled brats of the party who have their periodic political tantrums in which they try to control the direction of the party. It’s time for them to form their own party, and to disassociate their agenda from the agenda of the Democratic party. They will soon learn that the reasons why liberal elitis don’t win elections is because the vast majority of Americans don’t buy what they are selling.
Who is to “blame”????
1. The DNC. Dean and his cohort Pelosi. They could have and should have ended this primary season in February. Declared Hillary the nominee.
It would have given Obama the exposure he needed for people to be thinking about him down the road. When he has more time in the Senate. Now, all of these months later - I know more about him than I ever cared to know about anyone. I will never vote for him.
It is too bad but the reality is that lines have been drawn by both camps. Not just on Hillary’s side.
(If Howard Dean/Nancy Pelosi hate Hillary that much, they should have the balls to say so).
2. The DNC process. If they had a lick of sense. They would have changed the way they go about choosing a candidate. Screw the will of the people. We are going to let someone have the equivalent of thousands of votes - to override your will.
3. Obama. He could have and should have stopped his followers/testifiers from the 24/7 swarm on the internet. He did not. He said that he wasn’t going to run. Yet, he did. He should have waited. He does not have the experience. As a result of that, questions about his rise, his associates, his friends - have all emerged. He should have dropped out of the race. He did not.
As a side note - the voters who are left out of this race are those who work and take care of their families who do not have the time to blog. Who are just trying to keep from drowning.
4. The media. I have never seen such slanted “news” by so many in my life. They continue to treat Obama like he is the golden one. It is really quite disturbing to see how they fawn all over him. It’s not just the news networks. I checked out many of the so-called “democrat” “blue” websites. They might as well change their names…
Hillary needs us in her corner. In spite of a continuous upHILL battle, she has managed to win most key states needed in the GE. She IS the stronger candidate. She is the one who needs to be the nominee. She is the more moderate Democrat. Many who have previously voted Republican, are in Hillary’s corner. Many who are independents are in Hillary’s corner.
If the DNC screws this up and gives the nomination to Obama, they deserve to lose what would have been the easiest election in history to win.
No more victimology. In this case, everyone is to blame, to have tolerated what made Barry possible. The warning signs were apparent for years, but like the Hurricane Katrina SNAFU, everyone turned a blind eye to prevent it.
From the out of control media; to the out of control kids; to the out of control political environment. Mix them together and we have “Da Bomb”.
Will anyone address those issues before “Da Bomb” goes off?
Katrina 2008.
If he EARNS the nomination with 2025—or2209–delegates, then I’ll stay home, but I’ll feel that he won the nomination.
But if he “earns” it without including Florida or Michigan, or by just having a press conference where he ANNOUNCES he has a “majority” of delegates (a change of the ROOLZ, you might note) and is therefore the candidate, I’m done with the Democratic Party.
We don’t support Napoleons who just ANNOUNCE they are the “emperor.”
That’s a REPUBLICAN tactic.
Bullshit. The DNC should have told Obama he wasn’t ready. They have not accepted responsibility. If that would have happened, none of the other crap that has happened would have ever come to fruition. Instead, they brazenly embrace him. I don’t know what all has been promised. But, something big - that is for sure!
The DNC has become a laughingstock. Something to point at and have a good laugh over. It is just beyond comprehension how things have gotten so jacked.
Learn to take RESPONSIBILITY.
Folks could’ve seen the writing on the wall even back in 2000.
Look at these candidates and leadership. Flakes and flunkies. They don’t get there unless voters let them.
Voters aren’t powerless. But they can be when they turn a blind eye to this mess (often in the idealistic hopeychangey “it’s good for the party!”).
Now what are YOU going to do about it if Obama is elected? Fall right back in line “for the party good”, turn on the TV (the very TV that spewing this shit) and redo this again in 2012????
The cycle of abuse isn’t broken unless it’s stopped by the very people being abused by it. Don’t look for a hangout, payback or welfare to “right wrongs”, it’s just the crack to keep slaves in the system to keep it going.
THEY DONT WANT TO LIBERATE US, THEY WANT TO WIN THE THE GENERAL. THEY ARE SCARED…
THEY ARE BEGINNING TO BELIEVE THE UNBELIEVABLE…
HILLARY’S SUPPORTERS WILL VOTE MCCAIN IN THE GENERAL.
THEIR MESSIAH IS INFALLABLE…
HE IS TOAST IF WE TURN ON HIM…
ITS REALLY QUITE LIBERATING TO HAVE THAT KIND OF POWER OVER THEM…
I agree. Payback is sweet. I will put up with another 4 years of a Republican just to send an important message to the DNC.
This isn’t a prison. Americans liberate themselves, not rely on others to do it for them.
Break the walls down, folks, BREAK IT DOWN…
Tears For Fears - “Break it Down”
—————————————–
Break it down again
So those are my dreams
And these are my eyes
Stand tall like a man
Head a strong like a horse
When it’s all mixed up
Better break it down
In the world of secrets
In the world of sound
It’s in the way you’re always hiding from the light
See for yourself you have been sitting on a time bomb
No revolution maybe someone somewhere else
Could show you something new about you and your inner song
And all the love and all the love in the world
Won’t stop the rain from falling
Waste seeping underground
I want to break it down
Break it down again
So these are my schemes
And these are my plans
Hot tips for the boys
Fresh news from the force
When it’s all mixed up
Better break it down
In the world of silence
In the world of sound
“No sleep for dreaming” say the architects of life
Big bouncing babies, bread and butter can I have a slice
They make no mention of the beauty of decay
Blue, yellow, pink umbrella save it for a rainy day
And all the love and all the love in the world
Won’t stop the rain from falling
Waste seeping underground
I want to break it down
Horsin’ around
Pray to power
Play to the crowd with your big hit sound
And they won’t simmer won’t simmer, won’t simmer down
Play to the crowd
Play to the crowd
Play yeah yeah
It’s in the way you’re always hiding from the light
Fast off to heaven just like Moses on a motorbike
No revolution maybe someone somewhere else
Could show you something new to help you
With the ups and downs
I want to break it down
Break it down again
Break it down again
No more sleepy dreaming
No more building up
It is time to dissolve
Break it down it again
No more sleepy dreaming
The messages that were sent to a small number superdelegates by an even smaller group of Hillary supporters were their honest opinions. The threats of these Democrats to vote for John McCain were real, but instead of addressing the valid reasons why these loyal Democrats felt the way they did, apparently some closeted, Barack-supporting superdelegate took political advantage of the Clinton supporter’s comments to try to embarrass the Clinton campaign.
Why don’t the Obama supporters discuss all of the vile comments, and death threats sent by some of his supporters to various superdelegates that support Hillary Clinton?
Let’s me see if I have this corret. It appears that any person who threatens to vote for John McCain will be treated worse than a person who threatens violence and death against Hillary supporters?
I have yet to see any comments from superdelegates that condemn the people who have threatened others with physical violence, yet some of these delegates have “stuck their necks out” to chastise those people who threaten to use their vote as they see fit. The superdelegates selective dismay is both laughable, and troubling at the same time. Through their silence, they give encouragement. They are truly spineless.
I am absolutely STUNNED by the Black superdelegates who have watched the media report that there will be riots in Denver if Obama doesn’t get the nomination, or that the Black voters—en masse–will stay home.
These Black superdelegates, by their not speaking out against the riots implications, DAMAGE the image of their Black supporters, and allow the idea of “rioting Blacks” to pervade the American public.
In so doing, they DIMINISH other Americans’ respect or interest in improving race relations.
It’s OFFENSIVE that these previously respected Black leaders have not stood up against this race baiting game.
Can you see Obama giving Uncle Jeremiah, Bill Ayers and Louis Farrakhan cabinet posts? Pray for Hillary.
Never gonna happen. Obama won’t even break 45% in the general election. The GOP won’t even have to try and steal it, we’re just giving it to them.
That’s the sum of it. Tell 66% of the voting population that they’re “racist”; tell them they don’t matter in the DP anymore; tell them that this presidential candidate for 20 years went to a different type of Washabi school (on our soil even); and Ice T/50 cents/Snoop Dog will be Ambassadors to this country.
Oh, and the icing on the cake: Michelle will be having tea with Hamas leaders.
Naw, come the GE if Obama he’ll not even get 25% of the vote (especially after the 527s tear him some new aholes — and this time, maybe even Dems themselves will do it!!).
it’s a hostile takeover of the democratic party by the independence party. it couldn’t be any clearer. chancellor over at talkleft nails it right on the head:
i think the superdels and the DNC know this, and i suspect that they also know that obama’s GE chances are dire–but they want to get their hands on his donor list and fundraising apparatus. they are the fucking sheep in animal farm. if he’s the nominee, i’m definitely voting for mccain.
Computer-potentiated critical theory toxicity. You see a lot of it these days.
Won’t work. Libertarians in the South aligned with the GOP — it’s how Sonny Perdue became the first Republican governor in GA since Reconstruction. The Neo-Confederates (you know that White Southern rural vote??) are solidly in the Right side of the Libertarian camp — and you can bet your bottom dollar they’re not going to support some San Francisco liberal who’ll ban their firearms.
Ain’t happening.
The post is right to point out the values fight, because Libertarians are a two-pole party — they’re from the Far-Left to the Far-Right. The main problem with Libertarians today IS that, and Americans can’t trust them because they don’t know what they may get (and half their platform is truly radical stuff — and I’m talking Moonbat crazy stuff).
Then add one more wrinkle in liberal ideology: fierce independence. Not a “team player” mentality (just look how they behave in the DP alone) to pull it off.
Wishful thinking (that’s unless Hillary is willing to bail to bring some order to that chaotic party….).
Agree. Libertarians want the government OUT of their lives, taxes and all.
When Obama’s “Global Poverty” Bill gets publicity (Fox News will probably be the only one that tells the truth)…..same bill that REQUIRES that 7% of GDP be spent overseas to help other countries with poverty, through the United Nations,
Western Libertarians will move en masse to McCain.
You’re right. NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
IMO, most of the people supporting Obama on the internet are just useful idiots. They’re caught up in a popular “movement” and are in a state of extreme denial about Obama’s actual positions and actual chances of winning in November. These people are to the left of the majority of the country, and even the majority of democrats. Hell, they’re to the left of Obama… But Obama is a blank screen, so they can continue with their delusions. Obama wouldn’t have it any other way.
This whole thing reminds me a lot of what happened when Bush JR and his band of neocons took over the republican party. The moderates put up a good fight, but were ultimately defeated. Their party is now as weak and feeble as I’ve ever seen it. The Obama movement will cause the same thing to happen to the democratic party.
Divide and rule was not invented by Mayberry Machiavellis though they have probably patented it by now.
Correct….It is Roman….The Romans raised this to a high art form both militarily and politically….Twas the way of the Empire…..
“Thank you for turning off numerous Super-Delegates with your threats to vote McCain. Thank you for revealing the depth of your disdain for our electoral process by feeding the likes of Hannity and Fox News.”
It wasn’t a threat. It was a promise, and as much as I disagree with Hannity, he’s an American and has as much right to speak his mind as I or you do.
As I’ve said on here before, if this is the type of person who supports Obama, I’ll have none of him.
These people need to take a lesson from 1972 when the “change” candidate lost in a landslide. I believe the loser of that contest is backing Obama. Funny? Isn’t it? Maybe he wants to relive his past failure.
Oh, and for people who are always spouting mathemetics, they’re not very good at it. I believe the latest polls have shown that about 40% of Clinton supports won’t vote for Obama. 100-40=60. Not 90. You’ve got a lot more work to do than you thought.
Susan, I realize this is off topic on this thread. I apologize.
However, I posted it on another thread with an incorrect link, tried to correct it and couldn’t. So will try here.

Susan, he can certainly still be derailed.
I have many sites and links concerning his campaign and supporters that have received no attention. Cannot post them without first having someone mirror them, I do not know how. Afraid they will take them down.
If acceptable, I would be willing to e-mail you and Larry re such. The info needs more than just posting in comments. Blog articles could be done re much of it.
I am not much of a blog commenter, mostly a reader. However, I have pretty good knack for finding obscure information.
There are stil unasked and unanswered questions like the one posed below:
“Will Iva Carruthers be the next Wright for Obama? as far as I know she is still on his campaign committee.
“Wright isn’t the only controversial member of Obama’s church. Dr. Iva Carruthers, who describes herself as an active member of the church, is an outspoken advocate of reparations for blacks and was a participant in N’COBRA’s 2004 conference.
Carruthers was identified, along with Wright, as a member of Obama’s African American Religious Leadership Committee. Wright has since been dropped from the group. But Carruthers is sometimes referred to as a spokesman for Wright and works with him closely.
Indeed, Carruthers may be even more controversial, especially on the issue of reparations. She wrote The Church and Reparations―An African American Perspective, which was reportedly “distributed by her denomination” at the 2001 U.N. World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance. The conference was considered so extreme that the U.S. delegation, led by then-Secretary of State Colin Powell, walked out.”
She was also Wright’s representive at the following meeting in 2004.
Ndaba: ?A great sitting-down?
By Dora Muhammad

CHICAGO (FinalCall.com) - There?s a certain moment in time, that if leaders have the wisdom to see and seize it, they can make a historic turn in the lives of their people. Such a moment was the July 26 summit on reparations, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said as he opened the meeting held at the Salaam Restaurant.
Nearly 50 activists from across the country answered the call to discuss operational unity and a consolidation of efforts, in order to enhance and fortify the movement for reparations for Black people?s suffering in the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
“The principle of reparations is the one great principle that we all can unite around,” Min. Farrakhan stated in his opening remarks. “Religion has not united us. Politics has not united us. Our economic needs have not united us. Our Blackness has not united us.
“But in the principle of reparations, all of us have a stake in it and see the value of it and know that if we unite today on the basis of reparations, then our children and our children?s children can be the beneficiaries of what happens today and from this day forward.”
Gathered together in the Ashanti practice of the principle of consensus, the “big sitting-down”?or ndaba, as the South African Nguni call it?was the fruition of the vision of Dr. Conrad Worrill, the national chairman of the National Black United Front (NBUF).
The church, the courts, the community
Representing Trinity Church and its pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Dr. Iva Carruthers spoke of equipping ministers beyond worship, and enabling them to effectively network, empower people and impact policy. Within the next year, she intends on working with over 400 preachers, with a focus on connecting theology, technology and transnational public advocacy. She termed it: “intentional communication.”
Much of the consolidated case is based on human rights precedents of crimes against humanity, but another strong component of the legal argument is consumer protection law. This will enable the litigation team to challenge the companies on the basis of their lying to the public in denials that they have no connection to the slavery, because the team has gained possession of documents that show the companies? involvement.
Since the consolidated lawsuits are set for a Chicago courthouse, Attorney Lionel Jean Baptiste, who is representing a Chicago plaintiff, has been thrust to the forefront of the legal team. However, he cautioned the summit that the legal battle cannot stand alone in the fight for reparations.
“We understand that we are in an arena that has been set up by the slave master,” he said, “We will not win in that arena, unless we step it up in the streets, unless the political fight is brought to bear.”

Dear Friends,
I hope this does not stop anyone from writing to the superdelegates. That is a very important activity for Clinton supporters. Our intelligent, measured letters that calmly and clearly lay out why we believe that Senator Clinton is the better candidate and/or why we believe BO is unelectable, are among our greatest weapons in this war on those who would try and steal the vote and kidnap this country.
The wackos over at KOS, etc., are trying to get us not to communicate with the superdelegates. DON’T FALL FOR IT. Keep writing them, and letting them know that the majority of Americans can see the reality of these two candidates - help these influential people make smart and informed decisions as best you can. Here’s the superdelegate list:
http://tinyurl.com/2xbvgn
Remember: Only 2209 delegates is legit!
The Clintons have been very loyal to the party by not airing the Obama’s dirty laundry. The Republicans will.

And this place is a good example of Hillary supporters.
Ex CIA agents that say they’ll vote McCain if the scarey black man wins.
As an Ex CIA agent, I can understand exactly why he would be concerned about Obama, given his affiliations that never seem come to an end. I don’t know squat about the CIA and he scares me too. The Race Card is really wearing thin. The man has dubious and frightening affiliations, period. But keep using the Race Card. People have seen it so much on TV from wild assed surrogates, they are groaning. They are rolling thier eyes. By the time November rolls around, everybody who has ever lost a job to affirmative action, everybody who ever got called a Racist for a remark they didn’t even connect to race, everybody who has ever had even the slightest bad experience of any kind is going to be RACING to the polls to vote against him. The Race Card is going to be one of Obama’s biggest foils. So I do hope it continues. A lot. Carry On.
For the hundredth time, Barack’s race or skin color have nothing to do with our belief that he is unfit for President. Close ties to radical leftists is color blind.
CIA agents are like everyone else: human. They also have an uncanny ability to believe in their country (why else join the Agency? It’s a terrible job for sightseeing!). They’re from all backgrounds and hold many political beliefs, but they do their job (like the military and other organizations that protect this country), Satanic Verses, so you can waltz on over to unzip your pants and forget what a toilet is made for.
That you’ll even do it on Larry’s watch (that’s like wavying a firearm at the police) makes you dumber than I thought.
Uh, you’ve got that all wrong. It’s not the “scarey black man”, but the “scarey man” who just happens to be black.
Obama nor his supporters want UNITY. These people want to be bullies and bad guys they think white Americans are right now good for the picking. Obama wants redemption on white Americans Kerry, Kennedy , Du Vul, and others believe America deserves a payback ( I am sure they all play James Brown The Big Pay Back to start their morning) They’ve decided that if violence is the only way they can force feed you Obama so be it. Up until now many of you bloggers have been bringing a knife to an Obama gun fight, you can’t win like that. You have to expose him and his violent ass supporters ,You have to call Obama what he is a weak ass race baiting con man. He gets others to do his dirty work and then he spins the blame. Hes a snake and until you are willing to take the gloves off he and his kind will continue to slither their way through
what I don’t get is why the DNC is working on concert with the corrupt media. They can’t be stupid enough to believe that Barack can win in NOV.
WHY are they working with the right wing Republicans media?
This is all a set up I think. HuffPo, owned by an “ex” Republican, KOS, owned by an “ex” Republican….media OWNED by right wingers all working together to elect Barack, a blank slate with shady ties in Chicago.
The expanded powers of the Executive office brought to us by Bush/Cheney will go to the next President. I really fear for our country.
Hillary, hang in there and stay until the Convention!
I don’t know what is going on, but it isn’t good for any of us.
I am shocked that I am thinking of voting McCain but I think that was the plan ALL ALONG.
The more I see with my own eyes the more unbelievable it becomes… quoting Mao then talking about purging us from the party just proves my contention that this Obama “movement” will be studied for years to come.
Don’t forget, these koskidz have no concept that they are in a thick opaque bubble that has little to do with the real world around them. They’ve been reduced to animal like behaviors. They have been left feeling powerless by the Bush regime that beat us all into the dust. But they have found their salvation in the religion of Obama and you know, there’s nothing more obnoxious than a convert. They are projecting their hatreds, frustrations, and failures on to us. The fact that they are so focused on us enables them to close their eyes to the fatal flaws in their candidate. To them, Obama is more than their candidate, he’s their Savior. Cripes, it’s creepy as hell.
My goodness!!! THey are ang-ree!
Wow, I followed the link in the post:
I’m proud — PROUD — to be in such company. As Larry once said, rather famously, “FUCK KOS.”.
I read some of the comments, and wow, those people knew what they were talking about. Here is one:

Simon — you’re right its not a game. Obama has been molded for many years for this. How does some nobody from nowhere get his biography published? In this biography he talks about his problems with coke and today its old news. Brilliant!! I don’t know to whom Obama owes his allegence however, its not to us Democrats. Who are the people who gave Obama 130 Mill for this run? As you have stated, at least one is a rich muslim who lives in England. I pray sanity rules and we get a president who loves all Americans and who will bind this nation’s wounds.
As an aside–Oprah who loves to call Obama THE ONE and has turned her program into a propaganda machine for Obama has now gotten permission from the FCC to purchase the Discovery Channel. I’m sure there is no quid pro quo–but it is courious.
I have been reading the pro-Clinton blogs regularly for quite awhile, and have never, ever seen racist namecalling by her supporters. Again Obama supporters stoop to ugly and dishonest smear tactics.
I must point out, though, that Wry is correct: braveheartdc, the responder making the Mao comparison to the Obama supporter calling for a party purge, meant this as a serious criticism of the purge talk. It’s an excellent point; I’m amazed at the fortitude of folks like braveheartdc at DKos. If you look at his/her posting history, you’ll see this makes more sense.
3rd party run……dirty up these fuckin waters
You would think the people of this country would have wised up after the media sold them that other arrogant Ivy-League, with no resume, and no real discernable job over a period of 40 years, W.
But nooooooo, now a bunch are hitching their wagon to Obama.
Go figure.
I wonder if Obama would cheat with the electronic voting systems…
Rezko would raise money for democrats and republicans–Rezko raised over $3 million for current president Bush in Chicago years ago. I swear, I wouldn’t be surprised if MI and FL were corrupted by the long arm of Nadhmi Auchi years ago, and someone pushed up the dates for those states to help Obama. There a photo of MI Kwame Kilpatrick with Nadhmi Auchi online…
John Kass of Chicago Tribune said that this Nation needs to learn that Obama’s corruption in Chicago is linked not just to la la land libs, and left wing radicals, but also republicans…and that will be difficult for a lot of people to get their head around.
UGH: I have felt like Obama has been groomed for years, and he has been protected and promoted by dem big tops, and the mainstream media—if it’s also a lot of republicans pushing for Obama….ugh, that just makes me feel nauseous, and the whole thing is almost too big to handle.
That would make Obama a plant, and a fraud, a puppet, and a politically built poli-pop-star. It would also mean that his opponents are facing more opposition than we can realize yet.
