Obama wants a woman to be Vice President
By Owl06 on May 12, 2008 at 6:00 AM in Barack Obama
Someone needs to tell Senator Barack Obama that the Constitution only provides for one Vice President. Obama has dangled the Vice Presidency in front of three prominent female politicians in a Janus-faced strategy to gain their support.

A well-placed Democratic party source told me in New York on Saturday that Obama has offered the office of the Vice President to super delegates Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill. It is anyone’s guess as to how many other super delegates have been given the same pitch.
Using the second highest office in the United States government as super delegate bait cheapens and disrespects the office and the Presidency. Or maybe Obama simply cannot make a decision. Either way, his mendacious behavior is disappointing for the presumptive standard bearer of the Democratic party.
Update:
I invite members of the press to ask the aforementioned super delegates about Obama’s offer.

Thank you for this article. I live in missouri and work in Kansas and have thought this from the beginning about McCaskill and Sebelius. That’s why they’re running around like energizer bunnies campaigning for BO everywhere they can. The person who makes me absolutely sick is McCaskill. I will NEVER vote for her again and wrote her and told her that. I’m sure BO made the same offer to Richardson as well. I think all these folks will be sadly disappointed that they realize Obama used them like he uses everyone else.
cc- I couldn’t agree with you more about McCaskill. When she was trailing BO around the Senate floor like a little puppy, telling all that it was her children who convinced her to back him and generally acting like a preteen with a crush, I was totally disgusted. To begin with, she endorsed so prematurely while John Edwards was still in the race that it was obvious something was going on. I wrote her a letter to that effect and told her I hoped she would be happy when McInsane was elected!
I have vowed never to vote for her again, too!
If he hasn’t donated great sums of money to their previous campaign, he has most likely made each of the SDs a promise for something great in the WH. Those women beg the question of Obama’s judgment be looked at again! How in the world can any of them be considered presidential material should something happen to him?
It would be the greatest slap in the face he could possibly deliver to Hillary should he choose a woman other than her as VP. I believe it would also be the final nail in him not being able to get a vote from any Clinton supporters.
I still wouldn’t vote for him. Hillary should stay as far away from his candidacy as possible. He’s a disaster waiting to hit.
Richardson is going to be Secretary of State. Big maybe on V.P.
You people are very uninformed. Have any of you actual reviewed and compared the plans offered by Obama or Clinton, the plans are virtually identical.
I am an Obama supporter, however, I am a democrat first. With that being said if Hillary had won, I would have voted for her in the general election. What really troubles me about most of the posting on this board is that all of you are putting Hillary before our party.
I think she would have made a great president, but she lost. We need to unite and move forward and stop the Republicans from taking the house. Sincerely, TRUE DEMOCRAT
What absolute disrespect for women. What an insult! Dangle some female in front of us and all the little girls will scurry right over to vote for her.
It only shows how truly sexist that Obama, his surrogates and his supporters are. They think women are interchangeable. Don’t get one woman, here’s another. You’ll like her just as well cause, she’s a female see, and therefore just like all other females.
Absolutely beyond belief that anyone thinks that substituting one woman for another will make Hillary Clinton voters unite with the misogynistic campaign of Obama. That he thinks so only proves what many of us have known for a long time. Sexist, clueless and intent on putting women in their place. Which is obviously, one step behind.
And what moron thinks that any thinking woman would ever consider a pinhead like Claire McCaskill in the same league as Senator Hillary Clinton? Are we going for a complete ticket of novices?
And offering the spot of VP to anyone, when he has NOT reached that all important number, that would be 2209, is presumption of the highest order.
I almost wish I hadn’t all ready decided that I wouldn’t vote for Obama. I wish that so that I could decide not to vote for this misogynistic bastard all over again.
ROTFLMAO - especially at being able to decide all over again not to vote for him. RIGHT THERE WITH YOU!!! On all counts - women are NOT interchangeable, and I guarantee you, that robot Sebelius cannot even come CLOSE to Clinton in ANY respect (did you SEE her give the response to the SOTU?? Holy cow - how wooden can one BE?). And McCaskill - yikes. I don’t know much abt Napolitano, but IT DOESN’T MATTER - none of them are Clinton, and SHE is the one we want, and not as VP, either. As so many others have rightly pointed out, why should the most qualified and experienced person be relegated to the back seat to clean up all of Barry’s messes?!?!? Hell to the NO!!!
I am SICK AND TIRED of everyone saying this is over, and painting those of us who support Clinton as being essentially delusional at this point for staying with her. It ain’t over yet - not until August, anyway!
Thanks for the great comment!!
Good god — the boy is sicker than even I thought. Boy — because he is so immature and childish in his behavior toward women.
He just doesn’t get it.
Many of us Hillary supporters don’t support her because she is female — but because she is the BEST qualified candidate. No one running has her experience and knowledge of how Washington works.
So no experience — zero Obama thinks just any women as VP will thrill us Hillary supports that we will forgive his sexism?
NO I won’t vote for Barky O because he is flat out not leadership material and he is unqualified to be President of the US.
Besides which Barky O is a security risk.
he is a huge national security risk!
Seriously, if he picked Hillary, I would still never vote for him. I would also be insulted that she had to hold a mediocre man up. Is he kidding or what?
Same here. I thought at once it would be a nice “dream ticket” (if Hillary would be the President). As a VP, forget it — it’ll superficially mimic his own parents.
That’s the type of psychological abuse that creepzoid plays.
He’s reenacting what he knows, with himself, again, the victim.
Some people think it’s a GOOD thing.
The bamster isn’t doing too good, he sas to sit by and watch, because he can’t counter the failures.
Chris, that is wild … in a very creepy way. (I wonder if he, himself, felt socially obligated to marry a black woman.)
The horror of his internal thought process gives me the creeps.
Maybe he hates white women because he likes white women. Very interesting. Kind of like those congressional republicans who decry homosexuality and then get caught.
If he ever wanted to gain that Black block vote, he had no choice. Black women despise Black men dating and marrying White women. To add to that mix, Black women can be catty if a Black man even dates/marries a lighter Black woman. They have even internalized this form of racism.
Competition is stiff because too many Black men don’t settle down until they’re older (30s), and by then Black women would’ve have had finished college and had their first child. That leaves them usually with a lesser educated partner and one also less responsible (a perfect example is Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s marriage — he basically destroyed her career, being so immature and just plain bad company [why women continually do this to themselves???]).
Folks have commented about Michelle being bitchy about Hillary, and you can see some of the above being played out. Darker the Black woman is, the more that internalized racism surfaces — and I’m stating this stuff from experience and from years of hearing it all.
How Donna even manages to interact with the Black community being a Lesbian is mindboggling. I couldn’t get on a bus without Black women using lesbianism as a put down. Maybe they just don’t know, I didn’t, until looking up her bio.
exactly! the story i have seen in the media is that he dated a white lady and broke up with her because she was white.
Yep. Before the VA primary, he floated rumors about Jim Webb or Tim Kaine as possible VP’s. Before PA, there were rumors about Rendell, before IN, there were rumors floated about Bayh. Now the fool thinks women will flock to him if he floats the idea of a female candidate.
Not this woman. Not even if Hillary is his choice. I will never vote for him.
I’m with you, Uppity.
Barack Obama is a POS. That’s the nicest way I can say it, so I’ll just leave it at that.
He is a puppet, a ragdoll for multinational interests which see him as a gateway to obscene $$$ and the further erosion of American influence in the world.
We have a lot of work to do to stop this man — by legitimate and legal means — from becoming the next President. Our country is in a lot more danger than people know. An Obama Presidency would be catastrophic.
And on that note, new multimedia ammunition in our struggle against the Evil Empire:
The Obama Cult
The truth hurts, Barack. You and your wilding goofballs have gone more than far enough with your embarrassing-to-all-Dems tactics.
Paul F. Villarreal

Paul, I have long thought of Obama and his Obamacrats as Fragments of Excrement aka FOE. It may not be all that cleven but it has slipped under the net of some of the PC folks that don’t like it what you talk naughty.
Thus in my poor old, shriveled, bitter, clingy mind these people are FOE and thus my Foes. And if they are under the impression that we are as stupid as they are and could for one solitary moment believe that a mediocrity like Claire McCaskill or Sebelius could take the place in our minds for Hillary they are even stupider than I thought.
I believe that Napolitano has been a pretty good Governor. So what? Women are not interchangable Obama you sexist twerp!
There is NO FREAKING WAY Obama picks a woman. First of all, Michelle would not allow it. Second, it would be seen as a cheap “out” to avoid picking Hillary (like if LBJ had selected Sargent Shriver to avoid picking Bobby Kennedy in 1964.) Third, he has no interest in sharing power and attention with a woman. Fourth, wanting to push “change” takes a back seat to actually WINNING.
He’ll pick a standard, moderate-conservative white man like Evan Bayh or Ted Strickland.
Both supported Hillary … I doubt he would be smart enough to seek them out or has the ability to see beyond what he deems to be “slights” to reach out to someone who can help him. Maybe Ted Kennedy can help him keep Massachusetts? hahahahaha
If he does he’ll REALLY anger the REAL racists to no end. Black man on top, is enough to make them go ballistic.
Someone pull Barry aside for his own good!
Bayh is a strong Hillary supporter. No way.
He’ll have a problem with the VP position, because his endorsers have all been very weak.
She always had the true-blue Dem endorsements.
I women VP would not help Obama against the tons of women that are pissed at him. We had a women VP candidate over 20 years ago. It would not be a step forward.
And he insulted that one!
Exactly. We saw what he thinks of people who devote entire careers as public servants and work for civil rights.
He scapegoated Ferarro and ended up with egg on HIS face.
Obama does not know what he’s doing, operating from a wholly solipsistic point of view.
Obama doesnt even know what that means, and neither do the people supporting him. Really, he doesn’t understand that concept, none of them do, republicans, or deomocrats who use Rove’s methods.
I would love to see his real academic background, who took tests for him, say, in college, who took the bar for him.
Once a cheater, always a cheater…
/snark.
I would learn to spell before insulting someone’s intelligence. That is pretty much what Hillary did and Obama showed her how much smarter he is and how much more organized. Barack Obama should never of beat Hillary if Hillary was the candidate you all think she was.
You have to be a better candidate ALL of the time, not just in November, if you want to be President.
to cc i also live in missouri and wrote and told McCaskil what my thoughts of her endorsing a man who has voluntary relationships with people who are detrimental to this country and I won’t vote for her again. Judgement matters.
What a guy.
Is that a bamboozle or is that a hookwink? No matter. They’re just women anyhow.
I suppose he thinks that picking a woman for bridesmaid will make us fall in love with him.
Where I come from we call guys like him Political Whores.
No way Hillary should take the VP spot. It would ruin her chances in 2012.
I can’t stand this guy. Really. UGH!
NO hope. NO change. NO unity.
In the very unlikely event that Obama offers Clinton the VP slot, I sincerely hope she turns it down. It would be a case of her doing the heavy work of managing the country while Obama went on photo ops and twirled around in the Oval Office chair gloating, “I’m the president! Take that!”
Though Clinton as de facto president would be far better for the country than Dick Cheney, she doesn’t need the grief of constantly fighting Obama’s horrible stable of advisors while he gets the credit for any good she does.
He would make her get all the crap on her. Screw him. Besides, she should just sit it out for four years and come back on the I Told You So ticket. Four years of a mccain coma and he won’t be in any shape to chase her around the country. Obama is a young man and couldn’t keep up with her.
LOL! I can picture what it would be like when all these SD’s get into the same room and find out they were all offered the V.P. spot. Just picture Bill Richardson on the floor being pummeled by McCaskill, Janet Napolitano, and Kathleen Sebelius…all screaming, “No! He said *I* could be VP!”
Obama is sure to pick a woman, after all, he thinks that all they are good for is going to tea parties…and we all know that Michelle can’t do that job, she still eats with her hands and can’t sit with her knees together while in a dress. Very unseemly.
Obama would need to pick a swing state person. A big swing state. He is woefully wanting in most of those states. He can forget Florida and Michigan, Mass thinks he’s Deval Patrick. PA isn’t pleased with him, he needs to reach out to one of those states. I do not think he would pick a woman. For starters, he’s just toying with the girls to get what he wants. Screw em and leave in the morning. Picking a woman to run with a black man is just too much culture shock in this country. He might have promised Richardson for the Mexican vote, but that won’t do squat for him among Florida Cubans. Latinos have no problem voting republican and they love Clinton, so they might just reject Obama with or without Richardson. The assumption that they are stupid is a mistake. They already know all THREE candidates have a gentle approach to illegal immigration.
Napolitano is his strongest choice, since he believes he can take western states to balance out his complete and utter devastation in the redstate south. I doubt McCaskill and Sebelius have much of a chance to make the short list–but Napolitano is a definite focus for his general election strategy.
Focus on Napolitano’s politics and see how she fits in politically.
That said, I think it’s a HUGE insult for him to do this, and they’d better be thinking long and hard in the Obama campaign about the backlash from such a CHEAP STUNT.
It isn’t just the woman thing, Barack. It’s the HILLARY thing.
Anglachel linked to a very interesting Jim Webb article about Scots-Irish voters–the very voters Hillary can bring to the ticket, and Barack Obama cannot win.
Is it possible that Obama will seek to put Webb on his ticket?
Check it out:
http://anglachelg.blogspot.com/
And in honor of this bold lateral move from the chicken set, I’m going to serve Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch.
I knew Webb was out of it the minute he talked the talk, but voted Cheney.
Big bad Navy man betrayed his country, rationalizing his torture at the Naval Academy like a beaten wife does her abuse, sacrificing his manhood for a fat guy with a bad heart and no brain.
Where do they get these idiots?
The Reagan Surplus store, old military stuff, from the 80’s?
The republican jet set isn’t too bright.
They just don’t understand women and their reaction to “second in command, do the work for me”. Very dumb about women. Very dumb.
webb would be a good choice, but i have to think that would not be a match made in heaven. michelle would make webb want to throw up.
Hey look at all the good it did Mondale picking Barry’s determined foe and straight talker Ferraro.
He won’t pick a female but it is obvious to many of us he has a hell of a lot of people on his supposely “short list”, all except for the person he keeps claiming is on his short list, HRC.
Meanwhile she continues to speak to and for women, as always but not exclusively, the other 364 days of the year she speaks for everybody.
“I’ve come to believe that hard work, determination and resiliency are encoded in our DNA,” she said of women. “We know that we have the ‘worry’ gene. We know we have the ‘put your coat on because it’s cold outside’ gene. But we also have the ‘stand up and fight for what you believe in’ gene.”
The NY Times says she got thunderous applause for that remark.
Barky is just barking, woof woof. He’s a wolf and no matter how many carrots he dangles the bunnies won’t be behind him.
Don’t try to pander, we sheep will say baaaaaaaaaa.
Hay do you think he offered it to Pelosi too? Is that why she is so adamant about no unity ticket, even tho it is none of her business? Or maybe she’s in on the scam and wants to keep the VPs from getting nervous and questioning Obama too closely.
Besides if a woman can be his vice president don’t you think Mrs. Obama would feel she’s entitled to the job? Axelrod telling her she has to be all wifey-wifey and content herself with children’s issues must grate on her. And boy a grated on Michelle can’t be fun. I think she has a deep well of nastiness to draw on.
And because I wonder if the brains of this outfit isn’t Bill Ayres and Bernadette Dorhn, I wonder how many times Bernadette has wanted to shove a sock in Michelle’s mouth. But no, Michelle’s nasty speeches have served a purpose.
I wish he would. Her presence on the ticket would seal the deal.
Meaning….we get 4 years of place-marker McCain and then we get our party back.
Typical Obama, make tons of promises and then throw the people under the bus when he does not need them. I would not vote for this man if he was the only person on the ticket. Putting a woman in the VP slot with him is a slap in the face of women who love and have voted for Hillary and will do nothing more than to incite anger out of all of us. Some good articles about Obama on http://obamawho.wordpress.com/ where they give their reasons for never voting for him. These guys over there slam and slam hard against him with everything they can find. I agree with them 100 percent when they scream he is not electable.
What’s this? Does he think women are interchangeable? Do we all look alike to him?
Guess so. I thought that was only with a paper bag over our head.
I think Barry is always too busy looking at himself in his own mind to even see who else is out there, so, yes, we are interchangeable.
Seriously, I do think it is time for a third party if Hil is not the nominee.
There is no more Dem party, it is now the Obama Party, as his supporters are calling it. (See articles by Stoller, Bowers). I found those articles absolutely chilling. And then there are those comments by Brazile saying she does not need us. Time to go - but there’s no place to go, no one to represent us. And millions of other people.
I was thinking about a Women’s party. The VP could be an AA woman, there are several great Hillary supporters, Maxine Waters, Harriet Tubbs-Johnson, and the other beautiful congresswoman whose whose name escapes me, the one who was booed. That would break up that AA vote, bring in AA women. And we could get Repub women.
I don’t want to insult AA people the way they’ve insulted women by saying they are interchangable. But most are voting for him because of race, so if they had a really good AA candidate, also a woman, along with Hil, I think it would get many women’s votes. And even some men’s, who have questions about him.
I think Hil not playing up the women’s vote, as he did for AA vote, was a mistake. I think as time went on she has changed that, but not enough. I know she doesn’t want to discourage men, but that has not happened. If she got even 75% of women she could win, along with her other large powerful coalitions.
The most ignored, discriminated part of the population is women. It’s been that way in all countries, for many thousands of years. This election has illustrated that. And women know that. (Maybe with the exception of teenagers who haven’t had a chance to find out yet.)
We have had male pres. and VP for over two hundred years (230). That’s 86 men. Something like that. Why not female pres. and VP. We can balance need for male energy with lots of great men in the cabinet. Along with some more great women, too.
Just look what a mess men have made so far. I really think she could win with this ticket. With men like Wes Clark and other generals backing her for national security.
Coalitions with women from other countries for peace, economic security, health, children, education. True family values. Real change. Women working together to create a new kind of world. Very idealistic, I know, but possible. Even some of Barry’s dreamy supporters would come to our side. It’s long overdue.
We are the majority of the population.
There is already a petition for Hil to run on a third party. What do we need to really push for it? I am so sick of the present Democratic Party.
Any feedback? Any ideas on how to proceed?
From Clinton’s point of view I don’t see much for her staying in Dem Party, after way they have insulted both her and Bill. It is clear they don’t appreciate them and what they have accomplished. They seem to be offering her nothing anyway. (From Chris Mathews patronizing and ugly mouth “She can be a great Senator.”) Well, she’s already done that. I think a number of Dems would follow her, especially if she wins. She can still support Dem Congress. Big thing would be to stop takeover of Dem Party by Obamites that they are trying. I really think it’s viable and it’s time. And Hil and Bill are only people who can do this.
Stoller and Bowers will do and say anything for a dollar. And they call themselves creative. Where I am from we would refer to them as hucksters.
chatsauvage:
Does that mean that you don’t think there’s any truth to their view of Obama rebuilding Dem Party as Obama Party, taking it over.
It sounds frighteningly possible to me. Fits that feeling of something sneaky, evil, and sinister about him. I’m sorry, I can’t figure out how to do the link, but see
“Creative class to Chris Bowers, Cease and desist” at The Confluence.
Also, article on Bowers on Corrente. A few more articles on this. They also have links to the originals by Stoller, Bowers, et al.
Re my paper bag comment above: I guess that’s right. ‘Cause we all are getting screwed.
barfy will sure try. but long term do you really see a coalition of the creative and aa’s working? i sure don’t.
I have been thinking third party for a while. The way things are breaking creates an historic opportunity. Most third party attempts fail even if they exist for years. This is because their focus tends to be narrow - environment, taxes, etc.
IMHO, the only way a third party can emerge is if it is a broad coalition. A woman’s party won’t make it.
Whether it can happen depends on what happens after all the primaries are done with. And then after the election.
I wonder if Dr. Dean and Speaker Pelosi have confronted, even privately, what has to happen after convention in order to get Obama elected. Serious work has to take place with the disenfranchised of this party and the mood is such, myself included, that bones and crumbs are not going to do it.
If the Obama crowd, including Dean and Pelosi, are so arrogant to believe that they have to do little or nothing, then I believe that the Democratic Party will fracture permanently. It is only under these conditions that a new party can successfully emerge.
I’m a person who used to say “I’m a Democrat born and a Democrat bred, and when I die there’ll be a Democrat dead.” At 69, for the first time in my life I’m considering registering as an independent.
Unfortunately, it seems that too many of our elected officials would rather have the power of a toady than stand for something.
I am not quite your age, but I have voted straight Dem for over 30 years. And I did resign from the Democratic party and am now Independent.
It feels a bit “fake” still, but OK.
I agree that it’s a great time for a true emergence of a viable 3rd party, but it can’t be done around a personality. It needs to be done around principles.
Personally, I see that fiscal conservatism, such as what Clinton has, along with liberal social outlook and a strong emphasis on foreign affairs would be the winning ticket.
I think there are as many disenchanted Republicans as Democrats.
We could forge a moderate party that sweeps.
I don’t think he’ll pick a female VP. Obama is too misogynistic. He got Samamtha Power to resign while keeping Goolsbee. I think that says a lot about his attitude towards women. If Obama was the least bit interested in pandering to women, I think he would have hung onto Samamtha Power. Obama has done absolutely nothing to show he’s even interested in the women’s vote. He’s so full of himself he probably thinks he doesn’t have to.
McCain however, is wiley like a fox. Evil perhaps, but smart. He might choose a female VP for political purposes, possibly from Alaska.
If he does pick a woman the MSM will praise him and the propaganda will begin, supported by bogus polls telling us that Barky is uniting the party.
“OMG am I the only one not supporting him I better jump on the bandwagon too.”
That’s the lemming response the MSM is after regarding us, 20 years ago it would have worked but now with the net it’s getting much harder to lie about whats going on. The masses still buy it though hook line and stinker. Its amazing how differently the news reports are from what actually happens.
Case in point “Barky speaks to a packed crowd standing room only”. My ASS.
White voters love him. GET ME SOME MORE WHITE PEOPLE.
I don’t know. In a split screen with McCain, it won’t matter who the number two is. There are so many scary faces already connected with BO that he would need Glenda the Good Witch to run with him.
But it would work in that it would set up the polls, and the public, for McCain, typical republican MO, as predictable as Cheney emptying his diaper every morning at 8:00.
It’s not as if that crew ever has a new idea, look at this, the country, the source of wealth for their base, is being destroyed, and they’re trying to elect McCain with the SOS, as opposed to protecting their “king” or on their case, their “queen,” because they are unable to see the bigger picture.
They simply cannot do the job, yet refuse to admit it, those big bad republicans.
What does that tell you about their trolls?
Not too bright, a smart enemy could destroy the wealthy corporate USA, with those morons in charge.
The republicans, as well as their democratic counterparts are also highly corrupt, even if they wanted to change, and see the problems, they can’t, as they don’t want to got o jail.
So we all fail, them, too, until someone ethical and intelligent is able to shape the policy around their idiocy.
And it also means Dick Cheney’s worst nightmare would come true, which would mean prison.
And he, and the rest of them, will fight that, tooth, and nail, taking the rest of us with him, which they are.
But they take the money people down, too, so, you know, it’s not too bad.
Of the 3 named, two are govs and have more experience than HE has!! Once again, the young male trainee gets the promotion over the more experienced woman…most likely the one who trained him! (This happened to me!)
Which is why I’m pissed off even more….insults to Clinton, and women, in general, buy my EX-party….
Have I told you how much I detest tthese people???
I think Claire McCaskill should ask her daughter if she should accept the VP slot since she says it was her daughter who persuaded her to support Obama.
Offering the job to 3 women makes me wonder if Obama’s looking for a catfight? Wants wimmin to fight over him? Ewwww.
Honestly, this is looking more and more like the Mondale-Ferraro ticket.
This, combined with his “impromptu” stroll through the House of Representatives, does make him look mendacious.
Why not ask Clair’s daughter? Or Caroline Kennedy’s daughter? Bypass the old white women and go right for the brilliant young female voter who knows and sees all. We all know that the young are so brilliant and hardworking and can turn a computer on and talk on their cell phones non-stop. What other qualifications are necessary?
Well, like the weather underground, the boys are calling this one, and it shows.
Just like Ayers fucked up, so is Obama, and his republican counterpart, don’t expect anything different.
They were, and always will be, marginal losers.
I meant to say why not ask the daughters to be his VP nominee. Go straight to the well.
How about the Obama Girl?
They should at a minimum know how many states there are.
The diffrence is Mondale had experiance and a political resume. Obama, not so much… I always liked Gerry Ferraro, mob connections and all.
The more information on BO’s creepy behavior that gets out, the better! Thanks, owl06.
I don’t know if this ever made it here yesterday - I was having trouble posting. You’ll love the article, and there are some great comments (from correntewire):
Hillary Clinton must be the Democratic nominee; Do The Math
http://tinyurl.com/57erqp
Remember: Only 2209 delegates is legit!
And given she will take WV and Kentucky tomorrow, why are you buying into the Obama spin?
Kinda dangerous, isn’t it?
Last thing anyone wants is to end up like Bush and Cheney, and when you buy into their propaganda move, that’s what happens, why would anyone hook up with a bunch of morons who don’t understand how their methods are destroying them?
So they live of the vote, but lose everything else.
Cmon, they’re DUMB…
live for the vote, sorry, with an inability to understand HOW the greater picture is affected, they can’t run more than one battle at a time, the only one they can handle is cheating in an election, it’s their comfort zone, the only place they think they’ve had success.
Ask them to run a country, or a war, and they fail, and they have, still are, destroying the wealthy people who support them.
That is why it’s so funny, they’re such fools, too stupid to figure it out, despite all that arrogance.
A guy like Bill Kristol always has to look at someone else to tell him what success is.
I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you’re talking about. This article says that Hillary will crush Obama, when she is pitted against McCain. What exactly is your argument? I’m not an expert, or anywhere near it, on the political process, but their numbers looked very good for Senator Clinton, very bad for BO, and the authors obviously want her to win and ascertain that BO will definitely lose.
Maybe he can’t help himself making all these promises to so many women. After all, his father was a polygamist. It’s in his DNA.
Michelle doesn’t strike me as someone that would share. Anything.
I Want a Full-Blooded American as President
I want someone who is literate as President.
Dumb and dumber doesnt cut it, especially as the arrogant solipsism prevents them from seeing the picture, skews their reality in ways they can’t begin to comprehend.
But you use their aberrant psychology against them.
And they have no understanding of what this means.
Yet they are willing to bomb Iran, the guys who support Cheney, or play this game of prop the idiot Obama.
See why they make the decisions they do, thinking a bomb, or a thought, in the hand, or the ass, of a flaming mornic idiot will save them?
Dumber than Iran?
It’s close…
They’re Hillary to Obama’s Iran.
Gee, I hope the math is on their side, god knows intellect isn’t.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I want my President to be LEGITIMATE!
Name me a leader of a successful nation that is NOT legitimate?
There is just too much baggage attached to BARRY. It’s NOT his fault but it is a problem.
MOST of the country will NOT have sympathy for him enough to give him the title. I mean I feel SORRY for him and all but he can’t live out his mental hang ups on the NATIONAL stage!
It’s just NOT going to happen.
We had that for 7 yrs with Junior.
LOOK what a mess we got from his FAMILY hang ups????
JEZzzzzzzzzzzus! Exit stage left BHO before you get humiliated even more than you will be with WV and KY coming up.
Just bow out gracefully for your OWN well being.
Advice from an OLD WHITE WOMAN who really doesn’t hate you but really doesn’t think you are FIT TO LEAD.
Obama has dangled the Vice Presidency in front of three prominent female politicians in a Janus-faced strategy to gain their support.
The Roman god Janus had only two faces. Perhaps a more fitting reference from classical myth would be Cerberus, the three-headed hound that guards the gates of Hades, the realm of the dead.
And Medusa was snake hair?
Or was she just the victim of a bad perm, the kind the pre bald man gets?
Many-headed Hydra. One head for each constituency.
Kinda like the Republican Party.
Like a bad perm…
How about a five-hosed hookah?
Like an Arabian squid..
Or Obama.
LOL!!
Claire,Kathleen and Janet can join Bill Richardson in the innermost zone of the Ninth Circle of Hell–reserved for betrayers.
Completely off topic, but funny as hell
O’Reilly has a meltdown
Do you have the blog, “a typical white person?”
I thought it was very good.
lolol OMG he’s is the MOST vile thing on television EVER!!!
He should be taking some STIFF meds for his ANGER problems!
No, I had no idea there was a “typical” blog. I searched and couldn’t locate it. Maybe you could provide a link?
I’ll try..
LOL

I don’t agree with his thoughts, but among the packaging, some nuggets of insight are to be found.
Yeah, I think he should pick Claire McCaskill. Claire is ready on Day One to be president. Her daughter told me! Clinton supporters love her, espcially after The Snub! What the hell, one babe is as good as the next. They all kinda look alike, doncha think?
At this point, I am cheering on the biggest defeat imaginable for BO, so I think Claire is a brilliant choice. Richardson would be another great choice, especially if he grows his beard back. What a sex machine. So he makes a few gaffes now and then. So what if he’s an ungrateful Judas. Better yet, I think he should run with Michelle. Any terrorist would take one look at her and run the other way.
Sorry for the OT (actually, I guess writing to superdelegates is always on-topic :-):
Today’s winner in the superdelegate sweepstates is:
Joe Turnham, chairman of the Alabama Democratic Party.
Dear Mr. Turnham,
We are writing today to encourage you to vote for Senator Hillary Clinton for our Democratic nominee. She is right for this country in so many ways. Senator Clinton has worked tirelessly to help Americans all over the United States to live a better life. She supports veterans, children, the elderly, the environment, students, homeowners, and many others, and has shown that support through her legislation and efforts on their behalf. We know Senator Clinton because we have seen her in action for many years.
We are also asking specifically that you do not support Senator Barack Obama. His lack of judgment is startling. Senator Obama has friends that may actually be dangerous if he were to make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He attended an anti-American church for 20 years, and called the pastor there his “moral compass.” He launched his state senate campaign from the house of Bill Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground who, on September 11th, said of the bombing of the Pentagon, etc. “I wish I had done more.” The list of his questionable associations goes on. According to the polls that we have seen, he cannot win against Senator McCain, because he continues to alienate various groups of voters, and because people are finding out more about him every day.
We are worried for this great country. The Bush Administration has taken us down a very destructive road for eight years. It is time we turned around and headed back toward care for those in need, for the environment, for the spiritual goodness that is America’s birthplace and birth right. We believe God has blessed and will continue to bless America. So does Senator Hillary Clinton.
If you would like to write Mr. Turnham, to encourage him to vote for Senator Clinton, his email address is joe@joeturnham.com.
If you would like to choose someone else, here is the list:
http://tinyurl.com/2xbvgn
I’ve written or called five superD’s so far. Not many, but it’s adding up, day by day! Thanks in advance for helping Senator Clinton become the next President of the United States in this very important way.
Remember: Only 2209 delegates is legit!
If Obama selects Napolitano the Democratic Party will achieve that new look that moron Brazile longs for. You know the one without Hispanic voters - the fastest growing minority in the country(doubling the AA population by 2020). McCain will walk right in.
Powers that be love race divisions. Black and White is becoming old and Black population numbers are less than even Hispanics, so how about pitting Blacks against Hispanics? Even better let’s pit atheists against catholics? Then the icing on this disaster cake: Hillary supporters just stay home!
Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic must’ve been Donna job in a past life!
MAN! Some 527 should use that video as a political spot!
I’m just wondering if Dems, so angry about Obama being rushed ahead of the line (I guess it’s the ultimate Affirmative Action), would do their own 527 on Obama. Saying something like, “We didn’t want him, either”. Makes good political cover when the bottom drops out of the bucket if Barry wins the presidency (unlikely, but who knows, they may import the Amazing Randi to do some of his magic tricks on facts and figures!), and the Dems become the laughingstock of the world due 1001 “gaffes” he’ll make as a trainee.
This election is something straight out of Hollyweird.
dang, evil mind! i love it!
I totally agree, Uppity. Let McCain win and let HRC come back in four years. McCranky will probably be ready to retire by then anyway, and may not be up for a fierce fight against Hillary.
Loved the way McCain’s camp jumped all over the BO surrogate’s horrific and sexist remarks about Hillary. The McCain campaign obviously knows they have an opening with Hillary’s women voters and would be smart to capitalize on it.
This may sound insane, btw, but my dream would be for McCain to pick Clinton as his VP. That would be a true Unity Ticket and a guaranteed landslide victory.
In the meantime, I want the GOP to go nuclear on BO. Swiftboat his ass from here to kingdome come. I will enjoy every nasty, outrageous, moment. Pass the popcorn.
Its call pimping. Obama the con man pimp using his player card on the chicks to get the votes, Big Pimping in the DNC
Just wanted to add, it’s important that BO not just lose, but lose hugely and humiliatingly. That way he can’t come back and try again. (Personally I predict he takes 4-5 states maximum.) That’s why we have to vote McInsane.
He is a sexist pig.
Women on women violence. Perhaps someone should write about it. Perhaps someone has and I should find it. Gloria Steinem wouldn’t miss it– I wouldn’t think.
These three women governors wishing to walk on the back of another woman to promote themselves. They don’t have any agenda to promote, no important issues that they must go against a qualified woman
in order to ensure.
They make me sad. However, sadness aside, we simply aren’t going to allow you self-hating and un-enlightened women to stand in the way of Hillary.
sophists and sophistry vs. Socrates. Who would you pick? I’ll go with Clinton. Specious arguments and bottom feeders for Obama. Step up folks, they’re taking any sex… rationalize it any way you want.
but somewhere ladies when you go to sleep at night, do you not feel a little part of you nagging at you.
Something there, lost in the back of your mind. Something in the pool of your heart. something speaking to you from your soul which you have covered with dirt and leaves for so long. There it is, talking to you in your dreams. And you turn to see it, but it vanishes before you like a sun spot.
You can’t seem to get it into focus. And yet you feel it. There… do you feel it? What is that thing? Is it you? Have you had a fleeting glimpse of you? Would you recognize it. You must feel your ancestors. The women who rocked you in front of fires which kept the night from your vulnerabilities.
You must wake up women and feel the long line that came before you and the long line stretching from you forward–into the future. You must hold that line.. Let your vision clear. Let the love and the resolution clear your mind and your vision. Now, look in front of you and tell me what you see.
And now from a place of peace and love… tell me who you would vote for. Yes, I hear you. Me too.
My vote is for Hillary.
Gayle Rubin’s 1975 essay is apposite.
whoops.. that’s be two governors and a senator.
First. What an arrogant SOB! He hasn’t won the nomination and is in no position to offer the VP to anyone. Second. I started out supporting Kucinich until it was obvious he could never win. Then I went to Chris Dodd and after he dropped out, I supported John Edwards!
Hillary was at the bottom of my list with Obama. I was neutral between the 2. I didn’t care which one won the nomination UNTIL NH and SC happened and Mr. Hope and his not-so-charming wife painted the Clintons as racists. Hillary being a woman had NOTHING to do with my decision to support her. Him thinking he can just stick a woman on his ticket and make all better is the epitome of arrogance and stupidity.. He also thinks he can “play the Roe v. Wade card” and women will flock to him. He OBVIOUSLY doesn’t know women very well.
Are you surprised? This is how Obama views women: he believes they are easily duped, and he believes he can manipulate them with wedge issues.
i sorta think his mother was something of a light weight in the common sense department after looking at the choices she made. so barfy thinks all women are that way err with the exception of michelle the anti mommy.
She should run as an independent.
Alienated Democratic and Republican moderates outnumber the dupes of both parties combined. As the Republicans have been right about “liberal” education policy (behold what it hath wrought), etc.*** and the Dems have been right about Bush-Cheney (do likewise and weep), etc.*** ad nauseam, these moderates could resolve their differences, combine forces, and have a lot of leverage.
That may be why we are seeing what we see.
*** each etc. stands for a very long list.
I’m coming to the conclusion that only the Republican and UNDER 50 group are th eones that keep writing off Hillary for 08 and trying to PUSH or ACCEPT the idea of her running again in 12 as some sort of pay back or way to do it????
I’m sorry but NO WAY!
IF not NOW, WHEN? Us older ladies want her NOW and don’t think we can SURVIVE 4 more years of BUSH or even worse HAMAS-LITE!!
JEZZZZZZZZZZ LOUISE we can NOT let her lose this!!! IT’s just too vitally important to our NATION and us OLD PEOPLE who would really like to see this happen!!!
First there was …..
More white people!!!!
Now it’s ….
Something with a twat!!!!!
We can call it….
“The Great Twat Hope” !!!!!!
wow a racist AND a pencil dick?
2-4-1 w/0 in-between
Dawnelle, I was referring to Michelle Obama calling for more whites to sit behind Waffles when he made a speech. And now the ingredient needed might be something female.
I was also being very bad.
Maybe an Hispanic woman? Wonder if Ileana Ros-Lehtinen would agree to drop the hyphenated business (go back to Ros), change parties, and dye her hair? That would bring in Florida, too.
I don’t care if Wonder Woman or Foxy Brown is his running mate, I still wouldn’t vote for the asshole.
Hey Sugar!!
Come ON we LOVE Wonder Woman! LOL
(if her name is KIMORA)
Seriously though, I agree with you.
Apparently Obama and his surrogates think the voters either don’t know or don’t care about the difference between a cubic zirconia and a diamond. Well, as far as I’m concerned, Hillary is the real thing and they can keep their fake substitues.
Good luck with that Larry. I may be wrong, but I’ll wager we’ll all be enjoying popsicles in hell before that happens!
It is all so grossly patronizing that I find it hard to take seriously (his campaign that is). I continue to shake my head in disgust and disbelief.
If someone would have told me a year ago that I would be refusing to vote for the first AA Democrat for President and his female VP, I would have told them they were crazy, but that’s where I am.
Funny, a year ago I also thought I was a Progressive (indeed, I never embraced that word, I was proud to be a Liberal and not ashamed to show it). A year ago I never would have imagined that Democrats would call other Democrats f***king whores and c**nts. The truth is, I will never get past it.
My, what a road we’ve all travelled. I have diverged, but I am not alone. My own personal chrysalis stage is upon me, one that I never anticipated, but I can and will adapt, it’s called being a survivor. It is the quality I admire most in Hillary Clinton.
I have no idea what I will look like when I emerge, but I will fly, I bloody well promise you that. We will all fly.
I am not a lemming headlong into oblivion.
I totally agree. About all of what you say. I thought I was a Progressive, Liberal but NEVER a yellow middle road person until NOW I guess.
The Left has OVER compensated and is headed for the ditch!
Like what many do on a slippery road.
Hillary has a better chance of keeping us from spinning out of control than BO ever will. and MORE of the same is just too much to consider right now.
Hey Dawnelle…you have made me spew my west-cast coffee!!!
Yes, they are the mirror image of the neo-cons they so despise…and the poor bastards don’t even realize it!
LOL (passing you a towel)
it’s amazing isn’t it?
This NC middle aged white woman with only 2 yrs of college can figure it out. (ok I left out 6 yrs of military service but still)
worse they don’t care!
…i don’t know who’ll be sending the “jaws of life”, but those back wheels are a spinnin’…
He is just doing it as a slap in the face to Hillary. Hillary is above that to let that get to her especially if worst case scenario, Obama gets the nomination, then in 4 years she will be telling everyone that it took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush, and it will take a Clinton to clean up the mess left by not only the second Bush, but an Obama too! Just incase Michelle should want to run in 4 years. A pollster should take a poll of Clinton supporters and ask if Hillary were to leave the Democratic Party now and run as an Independent (since apparently the party does not want her or her supporters anyway)would they vote for her this year as a third Party candidate. Then Hillary should just tease the press after June and say, Well, I could tun as an Independent because I do feel strongly that most Americans voices are not being heard by my Party - Then I bet you would see some Super Delegates start flocking back to her. I know ALL the votes she has received to date would go to her still if she were to run as an Independent and she would also get more votes from the people who voted before all the Obama stuff came out - Wright, Ayers, etc.
The thought that a third party could EVER be successful at the national level absolutely scares the crap out of both parties. They are used to those 1 percenters, Paul, Nader. Imagine if a nationally known person from one of the two revolting major parties declared independence and took his or her followers with him or her. It would be a shot heard round the country. It would be a blowout. Unfortunately, it’s just “not done”.
let ralph run with her on the veep slate. that would raise some eyebrows.
It wouldn’t have to be done - it would just have to be perceived that it may be done this year. I honestly beleive if a national poll could ask the question if they would support Hillary if she is not the nominee and those numbers were staggering - Hillary may have more leverage at the convention. Next time some DNC member (like Kennedy recently did)says some crap about Hillary - she should say well, according to the polls there are a clear number of people who feel I can help America and since Senator Kennedy does not feel I possess at the minimum the nobel goals or whatever it was, I will have to think about running outside the Party since it is clear the party does not think I belong in it.
Anyone get those emails from the campaigns, especially the ones from SD supporters?
Do you read them?
The tone between them is vast, for Clinton SD supporters, it is all about substance, her abilities, her plans and her fortitude in getting things done!
The message continually from Obama SD supporters is:
Ability to unite the country (which wasn’t that divided before Obama ran and divided it)
Ability to bring a Change to Washington (without explaining how or what change)
Senator Jay Rockefeller wrote this today:
Two things everyone has been asking:
1- Where is the proof of what you claim to know?
2- Name accomplishments to back up your claim!
The entire campaign has been a problem that Super Delegates do not seem to understand, Obama claims Washington is broken, well then if that is the case, how come not one SD has ever tried to fix it?
Does this not lay claim that those SD supporting Obama have a big problem, that their own abilities in Washington are extremely questionable including Deans and Brazile’s, since you are the system in Washington and Obama claims the same old politicians are what is wrong with Washington, so shouldn’t you all quit if you support Obama’s claims?
This campaign has shown that either Super Delegates supporting Obama are:
1- Stupid, broken and need replacing
2- Make policies affecting every persons life in America based on a message of Info-mercial!
3- Are so weak that they follow money in their pockets and not what is best for America!
To sit and listen to the likes of Kerry telling reporters that Obama will make a great healer to the world community like no one else could and asked how, he responds “because he is a “black man” simply shows the kind of things wrong with Washington!
Karl Rove (puke) said it correctly a short while ago, the Democratic Party has a knack of gathering around holding hands and singing Koom-by-ya together while jumping off a cliff! This year was a shoe in for the Democratic Party and yet the Party has never been so divided by one persons selfish doing, that of Barack Obama!
When this season of Primary’s is over and should Obama be the nominee, the best thing for the country would be for Hillary Clinton to say the truth and not support the candidate who has no accomplishements in politics except for dividing a Party to its own distruction!
Here’s the answer to his accomplishments.

And before the American public that is what every SD should answer!
Dangle Sebelius or McCaskill in front of me and I will run away from them. For four years I have held onto a letters concerning a complaint I filed with the State of Kansas. When I felt the Board in charge of therapists dissed me I contacted Governor Sebelius’ office. She sent me a nice letter that so an so would look into my case. It was dropped. I never heard another word. My complaint was aimed at two therapist at the Vet Center in Wichita, KS. These female therapists violated my client-therapist rights in a women’s group. It is evidence that Governor Sebelius doesn’t care about the mental health of vets. If Sebelius is Obama’s choice, I will release the letter and all supporting evidence. I will release to all MSM especially the RNC.
I knew I held all this evidence for a reason. It will bite Sebelius on the butt.
More eveidence she doesn’t care about veterans in her state, the only thing vets get here is a $33 license but you have to be 100% disabled…..
Women everywhere have not forgotten the “Bros Before Hos” shirts, caps, pins etc. which Team Obama peddled shortly after Super Tuesday. And how did Obama himself and his aides exactly treat Hillary (and even Chelsea) during this entire campaign? No self-respecting woman unless she’s a rabid Hillary hater or a brain-atrophied O’Juice drinker will fall for this trick by the Obama machinery. That’s why, should the Wright candidate for the Wrong job manage to grab the nomination, it will be a case of “B.O.W.L. BIG TIME!” come November!
How about the C.U.N.T. group. Yeah we are gonna forget that by November.
I also will not vote for Obama. I won’t vote for McCain, but I definitely will not vote for Barry. Someone should start a single website where all of us who won’t vote for Obama sign up and make a statement. Maybe then someone will take us seriously and think, well, maybe, they won’t vote for Obama!
Do you see how the narrative is shifting to post Hillary with all the talk of vps(btw I live in KS.now and was at the largest caucus site and 60% of the voters were repugs out to stop Hillary so there is no way KS goes blue in november) ok ? Sebelius is kidding herself and as for McCaskill she is the crassest opportunist Missouri has ever seen in office. I voted for her in 2004. She squeaked by on account of the stem cell deal on the ballot. She’ll be one term.Missouri is not going to go to Bo. 111 counties of 115 went to Hillary. forget it. McCaskill was bought cheap(10 grand of PAC money). Bo uses everybody.
Have you noticed there is no popular vote talk by Obama and the mainstream media? No one I believe has taken the nomination of the democratic party w/o winning the popular vote but they have w/o the lead in delegates. That is why the dnc has pushed to frame the narrative around delegates. They set up the process for the outcome now unfolding! That is why the certified votes aren’t being added from FL and MI NOW b/c they know Hillary would lead in the poular votes. That is why Time magazine has called the winner to suppress the votes.Obama wins only if the votes don’t count. Sound familiar?
This is no blowout by Obama. It should not be called .KU was losing against Memphis state at the end of the game. Through poise, maturity and confidence with one shot they came back.Hillary’s got guts so she needs to finish the race.
I think it would be disgusting of him to offer the VP role to a female candidate that is NOT Hillary Clinton. There will be a backlash with many of the women supporters that are now Hillary Democrats. We have invested 17 months with Hillary and to see the title of VP just given to someone else that hasn’t worked for it, and who hasn’t earned it, is ludicrous.
I believe that he would offer it to a female with latina heritage, possibly out of Florida. That’ll be his homage to the women, florida, and hispanic voters all in one. Bet Bill Richardson is wishing he was a chick right about now…
He could have a problem with that because it’s highly possible that McCain is choosing Crist(?) from Florida. Also, Richardson would be a help with Mexican Americans but not with Cubans. It’s kind of like being Italian vs Irish. lol. Cubans have no problem voting Republican so I would say if McCain does what he might do, he took Florida from Obama already–expecially since Florida is seriously angry over his blocking of their revote.
Just out of curiousity - if Obama did put Hillary on the ticket, would that make any of you more likely to vote for him? If he picked another woman, would that make any difference one way or another? Please no flames…I’m just curious.
Ok you are being very respectful so I will help you out.
Honestly, I wouldn’t vote for Barack Obama for President if he put my mother on his ticket. For me it’s not just about wanting Hillary as president, it’s even more about not wanting Barack Obama. And I do have reasons that I feel are significant. If John Edwards were left standing, I would have no problem going with him if he were the nominee.
Hell NO
What i resent the most about this move of picking a woman as VP is that Senator Obama thinks that he can fool millions of women who voted and still voting and supporting Senator Clinton by putting and replacing one woman for another woman on the ticket. Does he think that these women are a bunch of idiots? Goodness gracious, this is such a bush-league move that really disrespects the intelligence of Hillary’s supporters.
Beyond this fact, his choice is just terrible. He is choosing 3 politicians with zero national security experience and very little experience on the national level. Claire McCaskill is a rookie senator from Missouri with a big fat zero in national security and barely 1 year of experience in the Senate. Kathleen Sebelius is as exciting as watching my 16 years old German Shepard pee. Did you see her deliver the Democratic response to the State of the Union Address? I fell asleep after she said hello. She is really better than Ambien. Some drug company needs bottle her up and prescribe her as a very good insomnia antidote. As for the Governor of Arizona Janet Napolitano, i don’t know what she can bring to the ticket.
He’s got his head up his ass. Women aren’t going to fall for this crap. Does he think they don’t know who would be president or something?
PurpleStatePundit,
I commend you for being polite and respectful, even though you’ve received some harsh responses. And to answer your question, no, because as someone else explained, our support of HRC is not based exclusively on her being a woman — that is a factor, of course, but it is not the only one or the most important one. So putting another woman on the ticket would look like blatant pandering and an inability to understand what we’re looking for. This would be especially harsh if we felt that the woman chosen was inferior in intellect, experience or ability to HRC — as Sibelius and McCaskill are.
Uppity said she wouldn’t vote yes even if her own mother was on the ticket. That made me LOL because *my* mother is an Obama supporter! Yikes!
SO PATRONIZING! Yuk!
How fucking STUPID is this guy? I mean, really!!!
He’s trying to QUAYLE the ladies!!!! How profoundly DISRESPECTFUL!!!!
Remember how GHWB trotted out that retarded boy scout, thinking that his “cuteness” would put some sex on the ticket? Vice President Moron: You say potatoe, and I say potato?
About the only STATE that makes sense is MO, as it’s a battleground. AZ would likely go for the geezer–they keep sending him back to the Senate, after all. And I don’t think America is ready for the “Black Guy-Gay Woman” ticket–it sounds too much like a deus ex machina sitcom that doesn’t make it to Sweeps Week.
I don’t see KS as a battleground at all, and who the hell can even PRONOUNCE Sebelieus, never mind pick her out of a line-up. Be honest–who even knows who the hell she is, save people from her and neighboring states? To America, that’s an INEXPERIENCED and UNKNOWN ticket–talk about a disaster waiting to happen.
McCaskill comes off like a Brady Bunch Mom, too mincing, grinning and eager to please. She looks like a distant memory of most people’s Kindergarten teacher–and that’s hardly a qualfication to step up if, say, Smokie Barack gets lung cancer or something.
For a female to run successfully as VP, they have to demonstrate a degree of fortitude–maybe not quite as fierce as say, Sheila Jackson Lee, more like, say, Olympia Snow– but sufficient to make people believe you actually aren’t a fucking Kindergarten teacher.
I saw Obama on the television today, with suckup Edwards. Some fool behind him was FRANTICALLY waving a “Women For Obama” sign–like that’s all it takes to convince those silly, easily distracted gals, some idiot with palsy shaking a sign.
This latest bit of chaff tossed out, that Obama wants a woman (he’d better find Rambolina, and pray she’s a citizen, to make up for his wussy effeteness) in the number Two spot, is pandering to women in the WORST POSSIBLE WAY.
It seems to me he’s made way too many deals with the Devil, and the Ghost of Atwater guides his mendacious hand.

These comments are a little scary and a lot acrimonious. I like Joe Biden or Kathleen Sebelius. HRC would be okay with me as well, though I can’t deny I have worried about the Bill factor throughout this campaign and that worry has been maginified by his front and center campaign presence, even now when his quiet diplomacy or disappearance would have served her and the party a lot better.
You Clinton fans are tripping. I am an African American woman and like you would love to see a woman president or vice president but not Hillary. I voted for Bill but am so sick of these Clintons I can’t tell you. They will do anything to win. And Hillary has no experience to be president except being the wife of a president. Honestly, would we elect Barbara Bush or Laura Bush. Stupid concept. OB has lots of experience working with people—people actually like him as opposed to Clinton whom so many can’t stand. She has acted horrible during this campaign and set women back years! So I welcome a woman vice presidenial candidate but no more Clintons. You Clinton supporters need to get over it so we can all move on.
Vice President names like Charlie Rose, Micheal Bloomberg, or Ted Turner come to mind. But they would not likely run. So you have another knowledgeable person in Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri.
I started a Draft Claire for Governor in which we had over 75 team captains statewide in 2003. She instead became a US Senator two years later. Claire McCaskill was a prosecutor in Kansas City, a single mom while serving as state representative for 3 terms and then a State Auditor. Her knowledge of local, state, and Federal levels of governments and how they work is extremely important. There has likely never been a vice presidential candidate which such a record of service.
She has become known as a center of the road legislator fighting for anti ear mark legislation and an accountability office for expenditures on the war. What she is most noticed for is that she has a pulse of the people that comes naturally and speaks out for the people when something is not in their best interest concerning government or important issues. Yes two inspiring candidates who bring out the best in people on the ticket sound real good.

There sure are some bitter, bitter people who frequent this board. And seriously, this report has zero credibility whatsoever… do you haters believe everything you read?
