Yes, We Go To Fox News Again …

for an HONEST, OPEN discussion on the Democratic primary race:

At least — unlike Timmuh Russert — they give Hillary and her supporters the time of day, and they actually ACKNOWLEDGE that there are VOTERS who should still have a fucking opportunity to VOTE and to be HEARD!

Thanks, V, as always for the video.

BTW: V created a special “NO QUARTER” channel at YouTube. Come visit.

The Majority….are governed by passion and prejudice….and their most confident judgments owe more to instinct than to argument…..Since few who maintain these views can have authority, knowledge, or experience to speak..
It follows that many such opinions are based on inadequate evidence and are therefore to that extent unreasonable….” Giles St. Aubyn. The Art Of Argument.

Sometimes I wonder If I’ve entered the twilight zone. Fox is very smart. They know that Hillary is left of center which they can live with and that the Reagan Democrats can never vote for Snobamass because ofhis Anti-Americanism. They are also fearful that if the cult wins then it’s curtains for America. They are being sweet to our Girl Hillary and know that we will keep watching and vote McCain if the kooks force her out.

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 12:29:28

It’s simple sweetie. You see people, especially those less intelligent, love to hear things they agree with. They block out what they don’t want to hear no matter how truthful and let in statements that support their argument no matter how false.

This is typical Fox, attacking the obvious Democratic nominee. Everyone including Clinton knows this race is over, the only people that won’t here it are a few factions of supporters (such as the ones on this site) that just can’t fathom the chosen one losing. She lost a month ago but that media that is oh so biased towards Obama (sarcasm) let Hillary put on a charade for 2 months as if she still had a chance.

It’s over, the sooner you accept that the sooner you can deal with it. This was not a fair discussion in any way. This was Fox being Fox. They are attacking Obama because he WON.

Comment by raymo | 2008-05-12 12:40:58

It’s simple, sweetie. Again, your arrogant, condescending comment is representative of sexist Obama and his cult-like Hillary hating supporters. It’s why we will never vote for your candidate. It’s why you will lose in November. But you can’t help yourselves. Hopey the Unity Pony is about to take a big dump in your living room and all you can do is come over to No Quarter and call people sweetie and tell them how it is.

Kinda pathetic.

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 12:43:34

No, I won’t, I will get my huge tax cut. I won’t vote for Obama precisely for the reasons he has vile supporters like you. Well, at least one of the reasons. How stupid you are? You are not doing any favors for your candidate writing what you do.

Comment by street_parade | 2008-05-12 21:21:28

If Rupert is a good business man, he can understand what s happening.

You will not have a GE, despite the war, if the economy can’t be managed, which doesn’t mean an all you can eat for billionaires, everyone has to sacrifice, FDR had it right, saw what would happen if the Prescott Bushs prevailed.

And the neocons, after 7 years, have done everything they can to demolish FDR’s reforms, nothing to insure the middle class welfare, because of their philosophy, and have dug their own grave, in another five years, they’ll be dead. So, they gave themselves, and the American body, AIDS.

The world economy in part depends on American ingenuity, and the neocons ,and the bomabrights don’t have the skill necessary to spark that ingenuity as they believe economies, and ideas come from an idea fairy, apparently. The Russian system, and the ssaudi sytem failed for specific reasons, Alinsky doesn’t work, and that crew thinks it can implement Alinsky, prove a lie.

And even when those idiots do get a profit, they squander it, like Cheney did Clinton’s surplus.

So, unless they admit it, they need someone who can manage, they have to play ball, or they lose ALL. The war will not pay for itself, ever, that’s a fairy tale.

Less Clinton, they lose the candy shop, their corruption and stupidity killing them.

Period.

And ALL the billionaires like Murdoch, fail.

The Saudis fail, they all fail, as the effects will be world wide, and catastrophic.

But during the interm, say, the Russians understand what is happening, and understand they have to liberalize in order to survive, (something stupid neocon trolls can’t graps) they have to “fight” England say, and the EUI, and their OWN corruption problems, so again, they have to figure out how best to survive. But Putin is smart enough to liberalize, say, whereas Cheney is not.

I mean, my god, look at the moron republican troll here…

It is defeating the American industrialist, is it making a pact with China, all factors the stupid neocon and bamabright can’t grasp, that an intelligent American must counter, if we are to survive as a nation..

Obama has the tendency to bring out the WORST in his followers.

I didn’t like Obama before I had to face his cult followers at the WA state caucus — and I came away with a loathing for anything Obama.

NOTHING has changed — in fact all the evidence and facts are stacking up against Obama. He is not a kind and decent man — he is a self centered, empty suit, arrogant, elitist — owned by the corporate interests who have bought his soul.

And he is a security risk for the US.

OH does this put in the the 10% that the idiots at the Orange Satan believe need to be exterminated? I hope so — because then I’m in fantastic company.

That was the most fair and balanced discussion I’ve heard on the TeeVee in quite some time.

Oh progressive media, why hast thou forsaken me?!

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-05-13 09:37:41

It has forsaken most of us madammab. We look around and see the lefties doing all the things they used to comdenm the conservatives for doing.

I know that we will now be inundated with a constant onslaught of well-meaning Democrats that see Obama as inevitable and thus we all have to get together and “heal” for the good of the party.

Exscuse me if I read that as “heel” and refuse to comply.

In an upside down world where Bill O’Reilly treats a Democratic candidate better than Olbermann and where FOX really is more fair and balanced I find myself in danger of overloading on outrage and becoming just another “Borg” for Obama. If scares the bejeebers out of me.

Comment by JKFriz | 2008-05-12 12:17:43

Given Fox’s history, isn’t it possible that it’s in their interest to prolong the Democratic fight and weaken Obama’s position going into the GE? If Hillary was the current delegate leader, I’d bet heavily that Fox News would be absolutely ripping into her right now.

In general - don’t trust the corporate media, be it Fox OR MSNBC. Even if they tell you what you want to hear for a brief time period, they’ll turn on you in the end.

Comment by Dave | 2008-05-12 12:29:59

Of Course! The right is hoping for an Obama win, but they hope it goes to the convention. That way they get a much weaker opponent, Obama, and a divided party as the icing on the cake.

However, for whatever reasons, even Fox occasionally gets news right - MSNBC has failed in that regard for a while now.

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 12:32:27

Comment by Nicole | 2008-05-12 12:38:52

Obama always was, and always will be, the weaker candidate…whether it goes to the convention or not. The fact that he can’t keep up with Hillary, and is dreadful in debates, is just two outward manifestations of his weakness. I find it interesting that so many young men so rabidly support the weakest candidate. (BTW: I’m Obama’s age, but female, white, and well educated, so am definitely pro-Clinton–the smartest and strongest candidate.)

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 12:45:31

Sit back and consider what you are typing before you make yourself look stupid. You seriously just typed that the weaker candidate is the one that WON the primary, got more votes ,got more delegates and has more class than your candidate.

Ahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Comment by Nicole | 2008-05-12 12:54:28

Actually, I’ve thought long and hard on this for months: he is the weakest candidate, which is obvious when you do your research. He’s been propped up by some serious money and the establishment and corporations and you have to wonder why. Oh, and HE HASN’T WON THE PRIMARY, and he hasn’t an ounce of Hillary’s grace and class (Obama very publicly snubbed Hillary at the State of the Union–he was absolutely creepy about it, and it spoke volumes about his true nature–and Obama gave Hillary, very publicly again, the finger. Hell, Hillary has buckets of more class than Obama, Mean Michelle, and all the Obamaminions lumped together).

Comment by Uppity | 2008-05-12 13:05:30

Primary isn’t final till august. That’s when the SDs actually cast their votes. Nobody but NOBODY is truly “committed”. Plenty of things can happen between May and August. If Obama hasn’t got a time time ticking out there, he shouldn’t really worry should he?

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 13:17:20

No he shouldn’t worry. The Democrats are not stealing the election from him no matter how much you “hope” it so. ahahhaa

Comment by alexei | 2008-05-12 14:27:26

Stealing an election is Obama’s forte; like the caucuses and disenfranchising millions of voters because they didn’t vote for hime. He even had a second chance to rectify that situation, but, no,no, no - he knew he would lose again and that with those results, little or no pledged delegate lead, behind in the popular vote and losing all the demographics but AAs, just barely holding on to lattes, and younger Millenials.

Comment by Its Still Over | 2008-05-12 15:28:29

Hi idiot,

I will respond but know full well you won’t listen.

Obama stole no caucuses. For every “dirty” trick you try to pin on Obama supporters there are 10 from the Hillary side.

As for FL and MI, Hillary agreed with Obama until she thought it would help her win. You know this, I know this, you just don’t want to accept it NOW because you realize she lost. The last person to turn down a proposal from MI was Hillary, over 4 delegates, even though Obama wasn’t on the ballot at all.

Uh duh he knew he lost, he lost FL and was not on the ballot in MI which he will carry in the general. If you count both, even on Hillary’s terms he is still ahead in delegates AND the popular vote. What your shitty chain email doesn’t tell you when they say otherwise is that the only way Hillary gets ahead in popular vote is by counting Florida, counting Michigan (he was not on the ballot, you think 0 vote for him there), and NOT COUNTING all of the caucus states he won. What, do those voters not count because they don’t support your candidate?

If you are so ignorant to believe Obama is winning no matter what benchmark is used because of black people and young voters you are insane. He has more votes HE IS THE WINNER. It is impossible for him to have LESS support than the LOSER.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-12 15:37:17

counting Michigan (he was not on the ballot, you think 0 vote for him there), and NOT COUNTING all of the caucus states he won. What, do those voters not count because they don’t support your candidate?

Sweet heart. Please come with your facts.

The campaigns of Sen. Barack Obama and former senator John Edwards are urging their supporters to cast ballots for “uncommitted,” according to state Democratic party chairman Mark Brewer. The Obama campaign says there may be “grass-roots efforts,” but that the Chicago-based campaign is not involved.

They say on the radio spot that they intend to vote “uncommitted” and give Obama a chance to compete for those delegates in Denver.

An “uncommitted” vote would take the place of a write-in, which is not permitted.

“People are already frustrated here in Detroit because they can’t cast a ballot for Obama. Many on their absentee ballots many have tried to write in Obama, but they have spoiled the ballots,” said Sam Riddle, Monica Conyers’s chief of staff. “We know we’ve got to educate the voters in a hurry.”

Facts are not your friends, are they dearie?

Comment by Its Still Over | 2008-05-12 16:11:07

Why because Hillary wants to steal the election?

Guess which campaign this is from.

“We believe Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina play a unique and special role in the nominating process. And we believe the DNC’s rules and its calendar provide the necessary structure to respect and honor that role. Thus, we will be signing the pledge to adhere to the DNC approved mominating calandar.”

That would be the Clinton camp. Even though you all know this you continue to say Obama is trying to disenfranchise these voters when Clinton agreed to it adamantly. The nomination will not be stolen no matter how much you Clinton supporters hope (how ironic) it to be so.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-12 16:19:03

General Election (Election for all the marbles. Occurs in November. Votes. No Caucus. All States. * he says 57 but only 50 are in fact recognized.) Do you think that by ignoring the will of the voters of two states it makes it (choose one) MORE or LESS likely that those voters will support a Democratic Candidate? Knowing that, on more than three occaisions, the party working with both the Clinton and Obama campaigns have tried to fashion a plan to revote. Everyone is on board EXCEPT Obama. Do you know why? HE LOSES. So. It is not that we are disagreeing with your story, what we all know is that TO WIN in November, the voters must be counted NOW or they will go to JOHN MCCAIN. Do you understand NOW??????? I know that that isn’t on your cut and paste sheet from Camp Obama, but those are the facts.

Read ‘em and learn.

It occured to me today that the hatred of the MSM for the Clintons is really an expression of the MSM’s hatred of the American Middle Class.

When you resort to using Fox news to prop up your arguments you are grasping at straws. If you want an actual DEBATE on the issues, not a website that use and your supporters use as a brain dumb, come to http://politics.reddit.com

I warn you though, calling everyone that has a different opinion than you a TROLL and running away won’t be very effective. You’ll be laughed off the site by those educated people you hate so much.

If however you are man or woman enough to actually discuss the issues openly, without discounting any opinion that doesn’t prop up your argument then you’ll get along fine.

From the responses posted here, the likelyhood of that are near nill.

I have no delusions that such simple minded morons would vote for Obama because I said so. That doesn’t make the stupid arguments that are being used here any less stupid.

I always speak my mind, your threats of a Republican vote will not change that. In fact, if you get your way and we have President McCain I will only laugh as he continues the path of destruction that we are on. I will giggle as he appoints conservative judges that want to control a womans body and I will become hysterical as your already shrinking money supply are dried further due to inflation, a worsening recession and other side effects of a horrible economic policy.

Calm down IOM relax, have another nice refreshing glass of Kool-Aid. Sit down in the lotus position and chant “Hope and Change” as your Koan. It will be alright. And when you move to Canada, I highly recommend Stratford, Ontario. It’s very pretty and not too stressful. I’m sure they’ll cary your meds (and much cheaper than they would be under Obama!). Have fun!

Dave, you call yourself articulate but resort to the same rebuttals all of the minions here use. If you decide to have a real discussion meet me on Reddit. Come enlighten the masses and spread your message. There is way more traffic there than on this one sided blog and it’s a DEMOCRACY.

Comment by Dave | 2008-05-12 13:17:37

Actually I missed a comma in that comment - I meant that it had been noted by many people who are more articulate than me. (I don’t want the regulars here to think I’m that vain :-)

As for Reddit, maybe for the G.E. but not now.

IOM, you’re having a good time throwing out insults, just the opposite tactic you need to win back disgruntled Hillary supporters.

Canada can pick and choose who they allow in their borders and it’s not crabby college students.
You’d better have a PhD or better if you ” hope ” to get in or two parents born in Canada ( which I have, BTW and I’m not as quick as you to turn my back on the country of my birth.)

I’s say ” good luck ” but it would be much better for you to grow up.

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 13:22:00

I’m not a crabby college student. I happen to own a business with a Canadian partner and moving there is just a matter of paperwork. I’m 29 and don’t need to grow up. Your old ass needs to realize that the baby boomers will not run this country forever. They’ve already raped it for everything they can. The next generation deserves a fair shake, we have voted for that and that is what matters. If it doesn’t work, well we had a chance. Unlike Hillary.

You always speak your mind? How very nice for you. Now if you would only go speak it somewhere where someone was interested it might make you less repulsive.

People with class do not intrude where they are not welcome. People with class do not insist on interacting with people that simply want them to go away.

You are a repulsive little troll; a subspecies of humanity serving no useful purpose. If you sincerely are an Obama supporter you are a sublimely stupid one.

There may be a few people here that are still considering voting for him simply because they are Democrats and cannot imagine not voting for a Democrat be he ever so unworthy. But trolls like you keep reminding us how much we loathe him, his surrogates, and his supporters.

Keep trolling pinhead.

As I, and many more articulate people have noted, there is no chance that Roe V. Wade will be overturned under McCain - none, nada, zip, zilch, etc. He doesn’t care enough about the issue to push it in what he likely sees as his only term. He will focus on the military, the budget, and perhaps the environment. It is not in his nature to waste time trying to appoint extremist judges who will have to be appointed by a Senate that will be even more Democrat than it is now. Quit trying to scare us with regurgitated Axelrod talking points.

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 12:46:59

Hello Mr. brilliant. The conservative judges he appoints will last much longer than McCain. We’re already getting conservative decisions out of the SC and it will only get worse. You are a misguided fool that was given the power to vote. If there were an IQ test required you would have that right stripped.

Comment by Dave | 2008-05-12 12:51:44

How hard is it to understand that the Democratic controlled congress will have to approve his choices. Unless the choices are moderates, they will not get approved!

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-05-12 12:56:20

exactly!

That Supreme Court threat has no legs.

We stand to gain MANY more Dems in the lower levels of government this next go round. A Moderate Pug Pretzeldent will have to bend or get NOTHING done!

Comment by rwc | 2008-05-12 14:17:59

Exactly, McCain will be locked up in the White House.

The only concern I have is whether Barky going down in flames will cost us the Senate. Then again Reid and the senate Dems haven’t exactly distinguished themselves, so it may not matter if the GOP retakes the senate.

Second, when he can’t properly answer questions, its the questions that are wrong, never him. Last, just give the finger to your opponent and brush your shoulders and all is well, right? Such a guy!

Comment by Uppity | 2008-05-12 13:12:42

Comment by Its Still Over | 2008-05-12 16:18:26

Look more lies, so easy when you just type whatever you want, facts be damned.

McCain camp suggested town hall debates (real debates in front of real voters) between McCain and Obama and Obama said he is considering it. McCain probably thought he would say no and spin it against him but he has not.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-12 16:22:17

Every state gives it’s blood to protect the US.

Every state gives it”s hard earned money to support the US.

Every state contributes to the greatness of the US.

These dumkoffs sure want the money of every state when they them to buy their advertised products.

Comment by Amanda | 2008-05-12 12:44:15

Last night I was at work, and customers were watching CNN. (We have a family owned diner.) I wasn’t paying attention in the beginning. Anyway, later on the commentator had two guests: an AA woman and an AA man. The woman was spokesperson for Obama and the man for Hillary. They were talking about Hill’s “hardworking white men” comment. The woman was outraged and the word “racist” was thrown around. But that wasn’t enough. The CNN anchorman then went on to ask: Do you think HRC meant that AA’s are not hardworking people? At that point I shouted and switched the channel. It’s my restaurant and we pay thousands of dollars in taxes. So I didn’t care. (Plus it helped that the customers at the counter were all regulars.) So, that’s what is going on CNN and that’s why I don’t watch MSM at all.

I pay more taxes to local, state and federal gov’t that you probably make a year in income. So, buzz off. The small business owners are the backbone of the country. So don’t go insulting people. It is precisely this condescending attitude that you guys have towards Hillary’s supporters that is turning democrat voters away from Obama.

Comment by Ronin Geographer | 2008-05-12 13:06:28

She should have just run as a Republican to begin with. Honestly, I have had both respect for and hesitations about both of the leading contenders since the beginning, for different reasons. But in my own experience, it was the Hillary supporters who acted more like a cult and refused to engage in any exchange of why or why not. At that time, she was simply “inevitable.” To be fair, the “anybody but Hillary” crowd didn’t have any good reasons either - but there are a lot of them. So I don’t know why I even bother to comment here on this blog. But what the hell…

When Hillary argued against the unanimous opinion of experts with the charge of elitism, rather than just saying something like feasible policy and expert opinion don’t necessarily go hand in hand, it was a punch in the stomach to everyone who has been fighting the Republican echo chamber, that she is now reinforcing. Nevermind that her policy would not have actually brought prices down. Regardless of who is the nominee, I’ll still vote for the Democrat in November. Can you say the same?

Comment by Its Over Ma'am lol | 2008-05-12 13:30:53

I have a theory about Fox. All this time, these other nutcases, CNN, MSNBC derided them as lowly creatures of the journalistic world and ridiculed their fair and balanced reports — so now it is retribution time and how best to give these fucking liberal media back, by highlighting their obvious bias and showing them for the jokers they are. Fox is relishing its role. In the process, the truth is on our side and they are just repeating it of course but the cultists can’t deal with either the Fox or the truth.
