To the Democratic Party: GO fuck youselves. Well, you already are. You’re just too stupid to know it. (CLARIFICATION: I am NOT GIVING UP ON HILLARY CLINTON. I know that she would be the best president we’ve had in at least the past century, and as long as there is hope for her, I am with her every step of the way. She has proven, over and over, that she is up to the task. I am in constant awe of her will, her determination, her resolve, her brains, her knowledge, her grasp of the issues, her sense of what is truly important, her graciousness, her coolness under fire, and her resilience in the face of even betrayal. What a great woman. And what a great president she will make. As for the stupid Democrats running the party, that’s another thing entirely ….)

– Speaking for myself (SusanUnPC) but I have invited fellow writers to join in with their own statements as they wish

Bud White here: Obama’s smearing of President Bill Clinton as a racist makes it impossible for me to vote for Obama.

Truthteller: West Virginia voters rebuffed the candidate the media and the Party have arbitrarily christened the Democratic nominee. How a Party can support a candidate who is so woefully unelectable confounds me: Obama’s victories are from states that hold caucuses, one of the most undemocratic practices that I view as a remnant of machine politics; he is weak on issues of choice, LGBT rights, health care, social security, wages and the right to organize; his past in Chicago is one of quid pro quo and corruption; he has accomplished nothing in the Senate; his knowledge of foreign affairs is wanting; he can only deliver speeches from a teleprompter; he speech yesterday contained two factual errors; he is sexist; he has exploited this nation’s history of race for electoral gain, even though he has no relation to that history; his wife is a race baiter and a negative campaigner; his only accomplishment while serving as a Senator is attaching his name to a book I believe a group of ghostwriters composed; he has lied repeatedly on the campaign trail; he is a puppet who will be controlled by certain factions of the Democratic party; and nothing he has accomplished has impacted my life. This Leftist will not vote for him if he is the nominee. And this will be a problem, for I will reside in a state Democrats must win in November. Good luck with your wooden marionette, Democrats. You will lose Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and probably New Jersey, and your Congressional candidates will be swept into the wastebasket of history. Until this party is able to embrace the notion that a woman can lead, I refuse to engage in any form of Party activism. It is Hillary or bust. After all, Democrats value work and accomplishments, not overweening egos and inflated senses of entitlement of those who have never had to work for anything their entire lives. Regarding John Edwards’s endorsement, at least we now know he was never committed to universal health care or to the elimination of poverty. It was just one act in a seemingly interminable drama entitled “The Democratic Boys Club.” Let us hope someone will drop the curtain on this sordid and sexist spectacle.

UPDATE VIA ANDY: There’s money involved. What a surprise.

SECOND UPDATE BELOW, via Terry McAuliffe:

Statement from Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe

Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe made the following statement today in response to former Sen. John Edwards’ endorsement of Sen. Obama.

“We respect John Edwards, but as the voters of West Virginia showed last night, this thing is far from over.”

P.S. Go fuck yourself, John. How much money did he offer you? Oops! Terry’s secretary must have messed up!

Another loser just endorsed Obama.

The guy who tried to run as a Howard Dean progressive, except he
had nothing but a conservative, play-it-safe senate record.

The guy who spent a solid year in Iowa doing nothing more than
campaigning for himself as a champion of the poor.
Iowans must have thought he was a lunatic.

(Edwards might have spent a little time DOING something for the
poor instead of spending four years on running for president.)

I was actually an Edwards supporter until I saw him siding with
Matthews and Russert to gangbang Clinton.

That was the point when I looked at his record, and found it
strangely empty.

At last, he ran down to Georgia to help Jimmy Carter’s housing for
the poor project. Good to see Edwards finally doing something for the poor
his heart is always bleeding for.

I’m sure it’s not calculated.

I’m sure he’s not endorsing for Obama knowing that he will lose his ass
off in the GE, so Edwards can run again.

Nah. Edwards doesn’t think like that.

Comment by bamaoil | 2008-05-14 17:27:22

And you didn’t see it coming?

And something this insignificant throws people?

Calm down, it’s bait, and it’s being fed, and it’s garbage.

This is how they got people to war, in Iraq, too, don’t forget, and they’re dumber than a pile of shit. They’re trying to play your emotions, and no better than Celine Dion.

She sucks, too.

It’s Edwards, Edwards is a joke, a part of the Dean, Axelrod ( whom worked for Edwards) Trippi K** arena.

Why are you surprised?

An Edwards endorsement is like a Jane Fonda endorsement.

Comment by Patrick Walker | 2008-05-14 17:32:39

Jane Fonda doesn’t have 20+ delegates. I’m not sure the exact number but you should be able to see my point.

Comment by bamaoil | 2008-05-14 17:47:10

20 ain’t gonna help you the delegates are pledged, not married.

Your delegate counts mean shit.

One drop of the truth about this cretin and it’s over, you really don’t see how you’re being gamed, do you?

HTH

When is the ‘One Drop’ coming?

I’ve seen it claimed ‘He’s done with this one’ on this web site to many times to count…

What and when is the ‘one drop’?

Eh Genius?

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-14 19:14:55

Its interesting.

We always see the most number of trolls when things are really bad for Obama. If it had quieted down after the Edwards announcement, I wouldn’t have been surprised. The fact that there are more of you here than usual — and new names at that — is the best indication that he is in bad shape and that the Edwards announcement is not helping.

So thanks so much for coming here and showing us how truly awful things are in Obamaville. We couldn’t be happier about it.

Her momentum was growing. This WVA win scared them. :)

That’s because Kentucky is right behind, and it’s going to be the same.

Betcha bucks that Kennedy et. al begged Edwards to come out.

I think this is downright funny!

Comment by sandyR | 2008-05-14 17:32:49

good insight on why Edwards would endorse a candidate who would lose the GE.

I notice Edwards lives in a house worth about 150 million bucks. Now someone who actually gave a rat’s ass about the poor (and this is all he says he does. Oh, the humanity. Oh, the poor, poor, poor. “my life’s work” sob. hic.) — maybe someone who cared about the poor would maybe live in a ten million dollar home or a 500,000 dollar home and GIVE THE REST TO THE POOR.
But, oh, I’m sorry… that would mean not being a total hypocrite. Ooops. Forgot who I was talking about.

Comment by cc | 2008-05-14 18:01:25

exactly! Edwards is a hypocrite.

Comment by Dan | 2008-05-14 18:15:43

it’s worth about 5 million.

And he’s given wads of his cash to charity.

He also has all sorts of goodthings to say about Clinton.

If he were that sincere with an endorsement he would have come out a hell of a lot sooner….now leave us alone please…I have had just about enough for one night…everytime our Hillary has something nice happen these clowns throw in a monkey wrench…well, we have a wrench for Obama and company come November…it will keep till then…

Kennedy, Dodd, Richardson, Kerry, Carter, ( won but was a real looser), Biden, McGovern ( really big looser) and now Edwards….. we just need Dukakis to endorse and we will have the complete set of LOSERS backing a bigger looser.
Congrats to all you failures.
You can all go down as losers again in November. I can’t wait.

I was very sad to hear of his endorsement, and its timing. I have concluded that the “big men” of “my party” cannot abide the talented, bright, knowledgeable personna of Hillary Clinton. She won big last night, and now Edwards will get the spotlight. I now think he’s a jerk and a creep. And to think I started this campaign thinking he would be my choice. Oh…I was such a fool. I agree the MSM, the DNC and the BO campaign continue to mess with the heads of Hillary supporters. They would not be doing this is she were not so formidable. Well, I for one, will not be voting for BO in Nov if he is the nominee. I hope we can continue a coalition of Hillary supporters who will boycott the party. This party does not feel like my party anymore. I will ignore Hillary if she campaigns for BO. I think she’s a fool to do it. They keep knocking her down, and since BO cannot win important states, he gets Richardson and Edwards to try to knock her out. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!! Meanwhile, put on your focus tapes, and carry on. They want us to fold, but we won’t. We have Pacific John in Oregon!!!!!!!

Comment by PhillyJoe | 2008-05-14 21:02:12

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way. I was very down thinking that maybe it was just me feeling that the Party had gone astray. At least I know others feel the same.

I am a life long Democrat, daughter of FDR Democrats, on the my State Committee, worked on many a Democrats’ campaign, but I am no longer part of this fucked up Republican lite bull shit Party.

I will be working hard against all those so-called Democrats who have allowed the sexism, the misogyny and total disregard for women, seniors, working class people and everyone in Hillary Clinton’s big tent. I will no longer give to any Democratic organization. And if this continues, I may be working for John McCain, because Obama the Corrupt must never be President.

Comment by suz | 2008-05-14 20:25:41

I am another one that will leave the Democratic Party.
I have felt from the beginning with how ruthless they were and are to Hillary—- their main goal was to be the first party to have a Black running for the office of President. They appear to care less about getting the best person. They feel Obama can bring the country together, which will be amazing since he couldn’t stand up at his church to make people come together.
I will watch the Republicans and see who Mckean takes for VP—-atleast McKean loves and is loyal our country.
I will cross my fingers in hopes someone comes up with more about the company Obama keeps or the Resko trial comes out with something.

Via CNN:

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday reiterated her vow to stay in the Democratic presidential race, but she said it would be a “terrible mistake” for her supporters to vote for John McCain over Barack Obama.

“Anybody who has ever voted for me or voted for Barack has much more in common in terms of what we want to see happen in our country and in the world with the other than they do with John McCain,” Clinton said on CNN’s “The Situation Room.”

“I’m going to work my heart out for whoever our nominee is. Obviously, I’m still hoping to be that nominee, but I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that anyone who supported me … understands what a grave error it would be not to vote for Sen. Obama.”

What they don’t get is that voters make up their own minds.
This show us what the Dem party really thinks of voters. And women, of course. They think we can’t think for ourselves. That we will do whatever Edwards or Clinton tell us to do.
Because we have no minds.
Well, fuck them. We do have minds - and hearts, too. Most of us have some of the contrarian, too. I’ve always hated being told what to do. Actually, we are the ones who have made America great. The independent minds - and hearts.
I will not allow anyone - not John Edwards - not Hillary - not Bill - to tell me how to vote. I know what I have seen.

I have lost 90% of my respect for him.
(The 10% is because he said good things about Hillary in the speech.)
I was a fervent Edwards supporter. Until he attacked the woman in the race instead of the guy we all knew was stealing the election from him. I attributed the gaffe to his handlers, because I didn’t want to think he wasn’t that bright.
This is so painful - but I am getting past the pain and getting ready to fight again - with the help of a few beloved blogs like this one.

Hey, should we send troops to Africa, do we have a terrorist threat, there, too? Ew, more war, we can force out the Russians and the Chinese that way, too, just like in Iraq…

They’d rather have a bunch of flaming idiots they think they can control destroy their business, then risk reform.

Um, I dunno, you tie him to the last 8 years, cause he’s got them hanging around his neck like a ‘Presidential Medal of Freedom’…..

Comment by Ulahane | 2008-05-14 18:59:44

And that worked sooooo well four years ago! Although I hate Bush, I acknowledge that he will be far less of a burden than Ayers and Wright.

Comment by Bill Delyon | 2008-05-14 19:15:40

Yeah, 4 years ago is not today foo’.

If you haven’t noticed, the republican party has been getting its ass kicked since ‘06.

Including the 3 races in the past month.

In which all 3 republican’s ran add’s tying the Dem’s to Obama and Rev. Wright.

How’d that work out for them?

The majority of this country does not want 4 more year’s of the last 8.

DESPITE what you 50 posters in No Quarter think about the eventual nominee.

Getting it yet?

Comment by Ulahane | 2008-05-14 19:31:09

Let’s be clear - almost everyone here wants a Democratic congress. Virtually any Democrat who isn’t tied to Wright and Ayers has a good chance to win.

Our party is making a mistake by selecting the one Democrat who cannot win the presidency.

Hillary Clinton is a better woman than I am if she can support Obama. There’s no way that I could support anyone who had benefited tremendously from a hate campaign that was waged against me and did nothing to stop it—not even as little as saying, “You can attack her on the issues, but leave the name-calling at home.”
If Obama is the nominee, I’ll be doing everything that I possibly can to see that John McCain is elected. I always liked McCain, and I consider myself a conservative Democrat, anyway.

Comment by Emily Pickett | 2008-05-14 17:31:42

I can’t see Hillary really supporting him. SHE’S TOO SMART TO SUPPORT BARRY!!! Really! Remember a while back when she said that SHE has enough experience to be POTUS and that John McCain had enough experience but Barry didn’t??? She nailed it. If we can’t have Hillary, then we can have McCain. He’s much more honorable and has more experience then Barry. Hillary knew it then, and she knows it now. She’s one smart lady.

Comment by Seth Warren | 2008-05-14 19:41:09

Good luck getting in. It seems that only the “faithful” are granted access. I tried when he was campaigning in Pennsylvania, because I wanted to know what all the hubbub was about.

Unlike Hillary, Obama required that one obtained free tickets, only available from his campaign office, to go to his events. From where I live, it would have been exceedingly difficult to get to his office. Furthermore, the tickets were “sold out” within less than a day.

I had no trouble attending Hillary Clinton events though - no tickets, no bullshit. Show up and sign in: anyone is allowed and everyone is invited.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-05-14 19:43:35

But then your boy called Bill Clinton racist, said Reagan years were better than Clinton years, insulted women - again and again, stole caucuses in many states by pushing old ladies out the door, had Edwards our happy day, not let us have one moment of happines and victory - I know there are many more of those moments that made us feel powerless, unappreciated, hated as women, taken for granted. Then we went for McCain. Believe me, it took a lot of abuse to get me to that point. And thousands of others like me. You can’t keep abusing others and expect not to be held accountable. Now we have no other way to show that we count, too.

There are a few things more important than winning.
Barry will never get that.
Can you understand that. My boyfriend, who supports Obama, (although that is changing as he sees these things) gets that cruelty.
That’s not who should be president.
He cares about no one - except himself. He’ll betray you one day, too. One day very soon. He’s not someone to count on. He has no integrity. He needs to be stopped.

Obama and Hillary have essentially the same policies. Get on board and start helping us fight the real enemy….the Republicans

Walter

Comment by Mike in NOLA | 2008-05-14 17:14:52

Comment by alexei | 2008-05-14 17:34:26

Obama is a corrupt arrogant Chicago politician who cares only for Obama. He has no experience, he blames everyone else when things don’t go his way and for his mistakes, he takes credit for others work, he is a chameleon with no real values and he is GW Bush. He has divided the Democratic Party with his race baiting and his sexist, misogynist campaign. He is an elitist. He will sell out anyone and any policy to get what he wants.

Comment by BernieO | 2008-05-14 17:17:19

Among other things, there is very good reason to believe he will lose in the general election. He has far too much baggage, most of which the public has heard little about. The Republicans will make sure that they do, however.
Look at how badly he has already been hurt by the Reverend Wright debacle. Most Americans will never be comfortable with a guy who had no problem associating with people who are closely aligned with someone like Farakhan or the New Black Panthers, not to mention a guy who still brags about bombing US government targets and says he did not do enough.
He will lose in the GE unless McCain has a complete meltdown.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-05-14 17:21:22

Why I’m I against Obama? A vote for Obama is a vote for people who have waged a hate campaign against Hillary. Voting for Obama is the same as saying that it’s okay to call a smart, capable woman a “hateful, spoiled, egotistical brat” as long as it helps the man get elected, or it’s for the good of the party.
All of the people who’ve endorsed Obama as the “unity candidate, who can bring our country together” need to read the poisonous venom that comes from the minds of his supporters (though blogs like HuffPo and Kos) and ask themselves one question: Do I really want to be associated with this?
And don’t give me argument that it’s his supporters talking and not him. He could be a man, stand up and say, “enough of this”, but he hasn’t, has he?

Comment by Joe Beese | 2008-05-14 17:26:16

Yeah, poisonous venom isn’t nice.

Let me guess. You got banned at Kos?

It’s only important in your mind. You’re like a little kid who thinks he has some toy someone else doesn’t.

Now, why don’t you run back there to your little incubator of anti-Hillary misogyny and snuggle up with your pacifier?

Walter, I am “so against Obama” for many reasons, but the overriding reason is that he does NOT want a woman to be President! How do YOU feel about that fact, Walter? If you were a woman, wouldn’t you think that a person who does NOT want a woman to be President is the enemy?!!

Comment by Joe Beese | 2008-05-14 17:37:08

To be precise, he doesn’t want that woman to be President.

An opinion he shares with the majority of American voters.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-05-14 17:52:08

Is that so? Is that why the polls say that Hillary is strongest against McCain? Is that why the poll yesterday said that 64% of the Democratic party wants the race to continue?

Comment by Joe Beese | 2008-05-14 18:28:00

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-14 17:26:33

I am just going to give you one reason IF YOU ARE A DEMOCRAT. If you were a real Democrat, you wouldn’t need to ask this question …. Democrats neither disenfranchise nor dismiss voters. Let the votes stand or revote in Michigan and Florida and I will consider voting for Obama. No promises. Will think about it.

Comment by Joe Beese | 2008-05-14 17:39:24

Let Hillary abide by her pledge not to participate in those states.

Oh, I see you forgot that she was happy as a clam to “disenfranchise” those states before she needed them to bolster a pathetic “popular vote” argument.

Hope this helps.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-05-14 17:48:06

Hillary did not campaign in Michigan or Florida. She lived up to that pledge. Obama DID campaign in Florida in spite of the fact that it was against the rules. He still lost, and he’ll lose in November, too.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-05-14 17:48:37

Obama dismissed Ohio, PA, WVA, KY, FL, MI….and you want to trot out that ancient argument?

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-14 18:49:40

You know there is no way to spin this. The voters in Michigan and in Florida know who has blocked all revote efforts. Barack H. Obama.

Here, it is enough to post an insinuation that Obama is a terrorist-sympathizing-Muslim-neo-Con-Republican Plant-communist/marxist-lobbyist supported-corporate stooge-mysogonist/sexist/racist pig, you name it, and they not only swallow it, but regurgitate it with gusto.

speaking for myself, i absolutely believe obama is a figure head of some very radical, self serving, powerful individuals, with an agenda.

an agenda that does not work for me…

when i was young during the late 60’s i ran with people like this, panthers were from oakland, and we were all trying to be, radical in those days…
blacks brown red and white…

these people are no joke, i respect that they have a point of view, i just think it dont belong in the white house…
all these cute little white college kids, and starry eyed old ladies with their meditaion candles, are in for a rude awakening.

Comment by Iron Man | 2008-05-14 18:03:04

SKMF, OOOh, watch out for “these people”. Nice to speak in code, isn’t it? You mean……black people, oops, I said it.

One word:
hypocrisy

To define, by way of wikipedia:
Hypocrisy (or being a hypocrite) is the act of opposing or not purporting a belief or behaviour while holding the same beliefs or behaviours at the same time, or vice versa.

Hypocrisy is frequently invoked as an accusation in debates, in politics, and in life in general.

For linguist and social analyst Noam Chomsky, hypocrisy, defined as the refusal to “…apply to ourselves the same standards we apply to others”[1][2] is one of the central evils of our society–promoting injustices such as war[3][4] and social inequalities in a framework of self-deception, which includes the notion that hypocrisy itself is a necessary or beneficial part of human behavior and society.[5] [6]

In other languages, including French, a hypocrite is one who hides his intentions and true personality. This definition is different from that of the English language.

Rezko

Ayers

Auchi

End Global Poverty Tax….is a bigger version of the Iraq food for oil scam, which will impose a .35 to $1/gas tax on top of record fuel prices.

He voted to allow nuclear power companies to not report leaks to the public. Exelon.

Throwing Grandma under the bus and making the Rev the crazy uncle so he can throw him there too for false political ground.

Calling small town PA bigots several times within that full bitter-gate quote.

He voted for Cheney’s energy bill.

He lies…he race baits.

He is intellectually lazy.

He stole MLKs tone….JFKs words….and Ceasar Chavez’ battle cry….among other people’s intellectual property.

He reminds me of Dubya since he doesn’t take responsibility for his actions.

That is just off the top of my head.

Reasons why I am so against Obama….Black liberation theology is his philosophy. He lies a lot. He plays dirty dirty Chicago dirty politics. He lies a lot. He is a really poor speaker and he steals his words. (just words). He is arrogant and inexperienced. He brings out the worst in people(his worshippers)
The Black Panther Party thinks he is the 2nd coming. HE lies a lot. He took bribes and lied about it. He took money for favors and lied about it.
He was (is) a coke head. He worships at a hateful church.
He wants to conduct foreign policy without perspective or experience.
I don’t trust him and finally, ( for now) He lies a lot.
I have plenty more reasons why I will never vote for Obama.

Is this regarding the shallow political stunt by John Edwards?

I have a few questions for John.

“As a former supporter of yours, why did you wait for so long to back the wrong candidate?”

“Did you and Obama plan this weeks before when you realized that Obama had zero chance in West Virginia?”

“Was this stunt conceived to get Hillary’s win out of the headlines and Obama’s name back in?”

Just wondering if anyone will ever ask these questions.

Given the timing of this announcement, I suspect that I was wrong in my impressions of John Edwards.

What’s funny is how Obama was supposed to herald a new glorious era of bipartisanship and civility; an end to the old ways of backroom deals and envelopes full of stuffed cash.

I would NEVER blame Hillary for campaigning for Obama — that is the compact she has made and she will live up to it.

But I didn’t make any such compact, and I can do as I wish.

I’ll probably write in Hillary CLinton on my ballot — or, if I truly want to send a message, vote for John McCain. Tough as it is to say, I think he’d be a better president than Obama — and that he’d get more done on health care and the environment and global warming — Obama is ALL TALK — McCain actually sticks his neck out once in a while! And he knows the Senate system very well, whereas Obama hasn’t even bothered to learn the rules, let alone do any work in the Senate.

It seems totally incongruous that he is now backing the man who dissed him when he withdrew from his own aspirations for this nation — knowing perhaps better than anyone else out there how empty his policies are and how little he really promises for the voters. No national health care? Apparently it wasn’t really important to Edwards. Perhaps the Obama money has been thrown at Edwards so it was irrestible … one more whore? And they say that women sell themselves? What a disgusting display. I am appalled.

Glad Hillary isn’t going to quit, now time to get the goods out on Obama before tuesday and especially before May 31!

Comment by sandyR | 2008-05-14 17:54:19

Yes, we have Puerto Rico and Larry Sinclair and the truth will set Obama free to go back and play footsie with Daley. We have actual issues that actual real Americans care about: like getting out of a war, universal health care, and tax laws that reflect comity rather than favoritism. We also have Rezko, Ayers, Dohrn, Wright, TWP, pro-Israel,
civil rights (real civil- rights) activists. We have women standing up stronger– see the woman in the video where douche-bag called her “sweetie.”
Obama is going to collapse. He is DOA way before he looks at a nomination nod. He is not going to win the nomination. He can pull all the loser rabbits out of his hat that he wants to… the majority of democrats are not pleased.

Toby, I’m going to be a “write Hillary in” Democrat.

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-14 17:40:04

I have decided long ago to be a “write in Hillary in”
Because I thought I would rally vote for who I want. But I have changed my mind in recent days for 2 reasons:

(1) I fear that writing her name in will help the media and the DNC blame her for Obama’s catastrophic loss on the GE.
(they’ll say look at all those people that voted for HRC she didn’t do enough to tell them to vote Obama, you know that kid of stupid argument).

But more importantly:

(2) Obama would be a terrible Pres. and will bring down any other Dem. chances not for 4 years but for
either 8 or 12 at least.
I also want the DNC to pay dearly.

So, my preference would be 4 years of McCain with a Dem. real majority in Congress.

So I will be voting for Dem. Congress but against Obama.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-05-14 17:28:04

Early in this primary, I sensed that the Democratic Party was being virtually hijacked. The campaign Obama was running was far more similar to a third-party than to any Democratic candidacy in my lifetime.

For example, I’d never seen a campaign insist that the other person virtually could say nothing to campaign without being called vile terms such as a racist.

I’d never heard of a Democratic candidate bashing the only 2-term Democratic president.

I’d never heard of a Democrat extol the virtues of Reagan.

I’d never heard of a Democrat talking trash like Michelle did when she said, “If you can’t take care of your house, you can’t take care of the White House.”

I’d never seen the Democratic insiders leap so far to turn decent people who worked a lifetime for civil rights into the laughing stock of the country, such as what was done to Ferarro.

I’d never imagined that the leaders such as Pelosi and Dean would pretend to be neutral and give the public wrong information about delegate count and how the rules really worked.

When Dean went on TV to demand the SDs end the election, right before Hillary was expected to win in PA, that is when I resigned from the Democratic Party. That was my own “last straw.” That was so patently unfair and so wrong, that I announced to Dean my own resignation and why.

I have voted for over 30 years straight Democrat. My son is amazed to see the effect of this year on me. I’m amazed, too! But I have decided that the Democratic party no longer represents me or my principles or my ideas.

So, from that day forth, I’ve looked for good solid people, regardless of their label, to support. I don’t care whether they are Republican, Green, Democrat, or Libertarian. It makes no difference to me.

I think we all deserve a great government, and I intend to back good people to represent us.

Enough of the partisanship. Enough of the games.

The Dem party has lost my husband and I too. This is the first times in both of our lives that we will not support the Democratic nom for President if it is Obama.

I will not reward a man who has run such a campaign.

Comment by Kathleen | 2008-05-14 17:28:15

Let’s be realistic and fair to Hillary. She has to support Obama because if she doesn’t and he loses the GE (which we all know he will), then she will be blamed.

It would be political suicide for her to publicly oppose him. It’s ok for the guys to gang up on her and cheat her out of the nomination “by any means necessary”, but women are burned at the stake if they are not loyal to the boyz.

Comment by Patrick Walker | 2008-05-14 17:42:57

She’s going to be blamed *anyway*. They’ve already “preblamed” her for his loss months ago.

Hillary is going to support Obama because she is a class act. I actually like her more than Bill because I think she’s actually smarter than he is.

1. McCain wins and Obama get the same electoral count and that weasel George McGovern.(17)
or
2. Obama wins and ends up taking the blame for this country tanking cause we know this man does not have what it takes to fix things.

Comment by sandyR | 2008-05-14 18:04:37

3. Hillary wins and Hillary wins the white house.
I hope you’ll put a picture of your smile up on this site the day she’s sworn in. Not too much longer to go, now.

Comment by Nobama | 2008-05-14 17:28:47

To Obama supporters who think it’s time for Democrats to come together:

I speak for millions of Hillary supporters when I say, forget about it. Obama and his campaign behaved abominably toward the Clintons and Hillary’s supporters and we won’t forget. The sleazy Chicago smackdown tactics, the disenfranchisement of voters, the bullying tactics in the caucuses, the brazen violations of the caucus rules, the appeals to Republicans to be a “Democrat for a day” to vote for Obama, the busing of voters from other states–NO, these tactics will not be forgotten or forgiven.

The treatment of Hillary supporters on the blogs won’t be forgiven or forgotten, either. Bullying, name calling, hounding, derision–NO, it won’t be forgiven or forgotten.

Obama’s “friends” and associates, his puny record, his collusion with Chicago scum–nope, we can’t support such a man. Obama is a liar or any synonym you want to use to describe that character flaw.

We can’t support him because we don’t trust him. First, we don’t think he’d ever get elected but if he were to get elected, he’d likely be a horrible disaster. No thanks.

I speak for millions when I say I represent those who have been lifelong Democrats, voting only for Democrats, for decades. I’ve been voting Democratic for 40 years. I speak for millions when I say we would rather vote for John McCain rather than Obama. Why? Because at least we can trust him in the things that count most.

I speak for millions of Democrats when I say we hate the DNC under Dean and the attitudes expressed on CNN by Donna Brazille. The “New Democratic Party” doesn’t need blue collar white voters or Hispanics? Excuse me? You expect to get elected with yuppies, students and black voters? ROTFLOL! Yeah, right. That worked so well for McGovern, Carter (1980), Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry.

Sorry, fellow Dems, but if Obama is the nominee, many of us will do all we can to defeat him in the fall. You screwed and dissed the wrong party loyalists and we will be all too happy to return the favor.

Comment by Joe Beese | 2008-05-14 17:56:15

Speaking for millions, eh?

Maybe you should form a new party and draft Hillary as your candidate.

Looks like she’ll be available.

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-05-14 18:44:21

Hell No! I’m going to stick around and watch the party marginalize itself so we can eventually elect a president in the future that the MAJORITY of Democrats can stand. I waited after Dukakis. I can wait now. You people are the reason the Democratic party has only elected TWO presidents in thirty years. We have to work to get rid of your silly notions every decade or so.

Comment by Greenley Greene | 2008-05-14 17:30:33

The Edwards endorsement is in:

“Fuck you, working class, we don’t want to listen to you.”

Of course, Obama said it even better:

“Hold on one second, sweetie,”

Don’t bother us with questions about how we help workers. We are too busy helping ourselves and our loyalists.

Comment by Iron Man | 2008-05-14 17:31:06

I am amazed at what I hear at this site.Look what has happened to us. The repugs must be having a field day. Look, I’m a Hill supporter, but c’mon, BO got his delegates fair n’ square. We just misplayed this one and got outfoxed cause we underestimated him. I think she’s stronger now, but how can we really try to change the rules. Whats scary is that a lot of what I hear sounds like good ol’ rupug racism. Go on, re-read these posts……Lets keep fighting till June but get real for whoever after that.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-05-14 17:34:49

FAIR AND SQUARE?

What planet do you live on?

Haven’t you heard about the shenanigans in Texas and scores of other states’ caucuses? OMG. Live in your fantasy world.

Just type in Texas delegates in our search engine, and start getting educated.

Comment by Iron Man | 2008-05-14 17:45:01

Wait a minute. It may be you who needs to get real. I have researched the Texas primary and there was no proof of fraud. We lost because of a screwed up system that came back to bite us in the a–. You’re working with internet fantasy. You sound like Rush!!

What we need to do is stop acting like freakin lunatics and start trying to push some cash! Quit whinin and work, sissies!!!

Comment by troy m | 2008-05-14 17:51:00

good, you researched it. I lived it. The obamazoids came in with presigned caucus rolls, did not verify those who said they voted against the voting rolls and the list goes on. You may have researched it but i lived it and it was a farce in the highest sense.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-05-14 17:55:42

I have researched the Texas primary and there was no proof of fraud.

Silly to admit in front of everyone, reading your post, you do not know how to research something. Including eye witness accounts, video tape, recorded phone conversations, the over 2000 complaints filed in Texas AGAINST BO.

IRON MAN = DUMB BELL

So why aren’t the votes in Texas certified Iron Man?

Comment by Iron Man | 2008-05-14 18:12:23

Teak wood,
Complaints are filed routinely and as a matter of course in all elections. Surely you’re not suggesting that the existence of complaints is proof of fraud or intimidation. No founded violations as of yet; thats what I said and thats the truth…I challenge you or anyone else to prove me wrong.

Calling names is sophmoric and juvenile. Grow up, son.

Comment by LBJ's Love Child | 2008-05-14 20:02:35

Iron Man,

At my precinct caucus:

1) The Obama supporters (and Obama supporting Precinct Secretary)produced “extra” sign-in/preference sheets,

2) these were unsecured,

3) no proof of identity or voting was requested,

4) and even though the precinct caucus attendees were 75/74 Obama/Clinton (counted off), the caucus results in the newspaper showed there were 6/3 delegates Obama/Clinton.

The tactics Obama used were hideous. Long-time active Democrats all over the country remain shocked by what happened in caucus states and have written about it.

He has cut off the press.

He now is calling for his doners to cut off all outside groups.

This man is gathering power and determined to oust all Clinton Democrats.

It’s unbelievable all right, but it’s not the outcry here that’s outrageous. It’s what is going on.

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-14 17:32:24

Just heard about John Edwards new fucking buddy.
So although I just wrote this comment in the previous post. But I will will repeat it here with a new call to you to join me in a new movement:

Pay Back Democrats for McCain

I will not give my vote to Obama. He and his campaign embodies much of what I despise. But worse, he brings out the worst in people. It’s abominable.

There is no way I wish to be associated with him, his supporters or his friends.

The RNC is no friend and I dislike them as well.
But the DNC and the media need to learn a lesson. a “transformational lesson”. A lesson they need to remember for generations to come.
And I think 4 more years of sacrifice is worth to pay back the DNC and media for their sexism, bigotry and
hate. yes, the DNC and the media hate us, Clinton supporters. Make no mistake about it. They despise us, they insult us, and they constantly undermine us.

Well, I am as highly educated as they come and I wll not tolerate their trashing. I do not have to.

People will say voting for McCain is voting against our interests. Perhaps.

But I know clearly that: (1) I will vote
for the Dem. for Congress and hold them accountable to do their jobs (2) voting for Obama will definitely go against my interests as well.

So who do I want to be betrayed and screwed by? A fellow Dem. who couldn’t care less about me, my values, the needs of the people he is supposed to serve and whose damage (because he is a Dem.) would fatally wound the
Dems for a long time; or a Rep. ?

I would say a Rep.

At least I know what to expect from him and can blame him freely.

I am sorry Sen. Clinton but should you not be the nominee I will not “unite behind” such an embarrassing fraud under the Dem. banner: the DNC certainly does NOT deserve such loyalty.

Comment by karen for Clinton | 2008-05-14 17:36:27

Not just the Democratic Party. There are so many others to thank too.

Ben and Jerry for example. I sent them a letter before Vermont voted. I was polite and talked about how Clinton was way better on Environmental issues and why Obama’s record was scary.

I sent them this RANT a few minutes ago after finding out they still have me on their mailing list when they just sent me an ad for some new product which I will NOT buy. Here’s my angry letter:

I didn’t read your ad and I no longer buy your products. I am a very long time member of Working Assets and GreenPeace and worked against Nam for many, many years with NYPAC and have been an activist from childhood through today at 51 years old.

I wrote you when you came out for Obama how disappointed I was.

Words cannot express how horrific I think that man is and how detrimental his hideous history is. Lehay and Dean have solidified my opinion of Vermont, a place I once lived many years ago and loved.

I have no respect for your company, move-on, the DNC, Donna Brazile, NBC… etc.

Exelon, Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Auchi, Blago, The Cheney Bill, Farrakhan, etc, etc, etc. and his total lack of actually doing anything he claimed to in his fabricated biographies… etc. are reason enough, but on top of that every thing he says is either A) a lie B) total spin C) devisive and insulting D) blaming his REAL PROBLEMS on Hillary.

Most of the time he chooses E) bamboozling

I will never buy your product again and encourage you to think before you endorse.

If you all had done some actual research before you jumped on the Teddy, Oprah bandwagon there might have actually been a candidate who is ELECTABLE in NOV in the lead right now.

Oprah should have stuck to her successful selling of books

You should have stuck to your ice cream.

Sweetie, Give the finger to Hillary on TV, Cliing to guns and religion,

New York’s senator was vetted and more experienced.

Thanks for touting the loser from hell.

Comment by Joe Beese | 2008-05-14 17:57:59

So which brand of ice cream do you buy now?

Comment by karen for Clinton | 2008-05-14 18:14:57

Ben and Jerry’s is more than ice cream. They have been a core politically opinionated progressive group for many causes over the years.

Working Assetts gives coupons for their ice cream away to new phone subscribers for the first year.

The other ice cream companies, are non political and I specifically bought B&J for their stances on environmental causes. They made a huge deal of their support for OB and they have a great amount of PULL in Vermont, a BIG impression low population state.

Dean and Lehay (who was BIG on calling for Clinton to drop out) and dean’s other buddies on the RBC have a hell of a lot of power in their positions despite the lack of actual voter numbers.

I lived in VT for 4 months and have close friends there, quirky state, very different, some of it phenomenal, some of it way too pretentious.

I was wrong. I misunderstood who you were you talking about and I made a mistake. John Edwards
timing just angered me too much. Why not wait 3 more weeks? Is John Edwards such a wussy ? Did he get too scared for BO after WV?

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-14 17:56:45

I don’t think Edwards will help. Kentucky is already heavily for Hillary. Unless John LIVES there for the next week and, Kentucky went for Bush.

This is actually a HUGE COMPLIMENT to Hillary. Here is what it says:

He can’t win the core Democratic voters and YES, HE DOES NEED THEM. So, unless he’s going to have a COMMITTEE running for VP, he has an HISPANIC, FEMALE, WHITE MALE WORKING CLASS VOTER problem …. no one person can attract all of those voters except his opponent.

I think that this shakes out as a VERY DESPERATE and BAD, BAD decision.

I want to see what the sages say.

Comment by sandyR | 2008-05-14 18:10:20

John Edwards.

Respectfully, Your endorsement of Senator Obama is a mistake. You have endorsed an immoral man.

Please tell me how you would endorse a man that profited from the misery of others?

When Obama and Rezko let people freeze without running water in a Chicago winter, please tell me why you endorse that. Your indifference is staggering and makes hallow the words you have spoken. Hope does not put food on my families table.

Change? Do you remember being recorded “off mike” saying to Senator Clinton that Obama should not be in the race?”

Does toasting Mr. Auchi, being funded by Ayers, or being in a church of hate speech of Wright or dozens of other examples of poor judgment out way you endorsement of an immoral, inexperienced man?

Apparently so.

Got a auto response to info@johnedwards.com, here it is.

Thank you for contacting the John Edwards for President Campaign.

On January 30th, 2008, Senator Edwards suspended his campaign for the
Democratic Nomination for President. During his final remarks in New
Orleans on that day, Senator Edwards said, “We will be strong, we will be
unified, and with our convictions and a little backbone we will take
back the White House in November and we’ll create hope and opportunity
for this country.” We appreciate the support and dedication of everyone
involved with the campaign. We must all continue to work hard to
rebuild the American house.

If you have a scheduling request for Senator Edwards or Elizabeth
Edwards, please email you complete request – along with date, time, and
location – to scheduler[at]johnedwards[dot]com. Press inquires can be
emailed to press[at]johnedwards[dot]com.

Thank you for taking the time to write.

Could this be one of the “shoes dropping on Obama?”

Both Rush and Hannity had Pastor Manning’s charges against Obama and Wright on their radio shows today. DrudgeReport was linking to Manning’s video a few hours before the radio shows.

If you check out the other videos from ATLAN Ministries, Pastor Manning has some interesting things to say. I don’t think he’s a kook.

I am a Hillary supporter, although an independent politically and an armchair observer…definitely not on the front lines. I don’t expect much from any political party or politician, especially in terms of telling it like it is.

The Democratic Party is disgraceful really and if they discard Hillary they will go down in flames.

But Hillary herself, as her husband not so long ago, aptly put it needs to “commit candor”. She needs to tell it like it is. Her endorsement of Obama is not going to be worth a whole lot if she herself makes the mistake of accepting the corrupt Democratic Party the way it is. I want to know what is really driving Obama’s candidacy. I suspect if we knew we would be horrified.

As for Edwards, he has the Bilderberg seal of approval. As an independent, I listen very closely to so-called conspiracy theorists or those like Peter Dale Scott who like to delve into “Deep Politics”. These people said his Bilderberg appearance prior to 2004 led to his VP nomination. I am sure these elitists have his populist ear if nothing else.

I still hope the Democrats can win both Houses of Congress and get rid of Pelosi, Reid, and Hoyer and hopefully come up with some leadership with a backbone minus Obama.

Why does John Edwards think he should stick his nose into the primary now? He’s a two-time primary loser and a loser in his run for vice-president. This guy is a major loser no matter how you look at it.

I know people who supported Edwards, but I always thought he was a complete phony. I’ve never liked him one bit, and always felt he was putting on a good-old boy act.

I’m sure Obama promised him Attorney General–he would never take him as vice because Edwards is poison on any ticket.

They cannot figure out what to do. They tried to pretend it was “ok” for Hillary to see out the rest of the race…until she cleaned his clock. I bet she was about to announce multi-millions raised in 24 hours, too. They thought 20 mil in debt was a big deal and had those surrogates running around pretending she was ready for Obama to retire her debt. What a joke!

I bet Edwards has a fat ear from all the calls to “szve” Obama now.

He couldn’t withstand a week of questioning his electability followed by yet another whopper of a loss in KY.

He’s toast. They know it. But there are too many of them now who are in the tank and can’t get out.

Yes, As a former Edwards supporter I too am deeply concerned and troubled. Up until just a few hours ago, John Edwards has been handling things very very diplomatically. On Larry King the other day Edwards acknowledged Obama’s lead would be difficult to surmount. However, Edwards empathized that had Hillary campaigned with the heart and soul she has been exhibiting in the last 2 months, she would have locked up the nomination by now.

Here is what I am thinking. Edwards endorses Obama to make nice to the DNC honchos, Dean, Pelosi, Kennedy… who have put their asses and nuts on the line with Obama. They have been on Edward’s back since Super Tuesday to endorse Obama. Either way it really does not matter because obviously with the NARAL endorsement today the DNC and the Left Liberals have shown they were willing to put their thumbs, hands, feet & rumps on the scales.

In the next month or two the William Ayers & Bernadine Dohrn thermonuclear fiasco will finally break as a national story right before the convention. With Edwards the DNC now has an out for never having vetted Obama. The DNC then can say to the most fanatical Obamabots that if you can not support Hillary then you have the option of the third place guy as an alternate who was a good sport to your man. Then the nomination can be decided through a brokered convention. BUT OBAMA MUST REFUSE THE NOMINATION FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY.

Proposing that Obama drop out inorder to prevent what would be certain defeat requires some answer for the wounded feelings of the Obama crowd. Yes they are a bunch of precious little pillow biters. However we need to be gentle with how we bust their delicate little political cherries. Otherwise we dam well know we should expect riots in Denver by the RECREATE68 lunatics.

I just got done watching the Edwards endorsement. He handled it very diplomatically. The crowd at times acted extremely rudely. He treated Hillary with every due respect.

Tell me what you think.

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-14 18:14:11

llamajockey: I wish what you write were true; but I don’t believe it… I wish I could but it is just too optimistic and too thoughtful for a bunch of ass—-
like Dean, Pelosi and Company.

Did you see Brazile’s faces in the video SusanUnPC posted last night of the Wolfson vs Brazile CNN clip?

Donna Brazile is one of the most abominable figures the DNC has and she has Dean on her lap.

I don’t kow why Edwards did this today. But I know why the DNC and Obama campaign wanted it to happen today: they are sore losers, bad losers and big losers and as such they think trying to humiliate HRC makes them “winners”… Ha, right: they are more like dirty whiners….

Comment by llamajockey | 2008-05-14 18:36:27

Andy,

Hang in there. You dam well know the Ayer/Dohrn story is going to break. It is hard to believe how corrupt and inept the left-wing of the Democratic party has been.

The last two years have been disasterous beginning with the corrupt atrocity which was the Kennedy/McCain Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill.

Pelosi, Dean, Kennedy, Kerry, Richardson they all have their nuts and tits on the chopping block for pushing Obama involation of all the rules.

Obama will never be president. Even if Ayers/Dohrn breaks before the convention I still seriously doubt the nomination will just drop in Hillary ’s lap. The Obamabots will still want another option to be proposed.

I have been saying for almost a month now that in that case a move to draft an Edwards or Gore will be attempted. Most likely Hillary will still be the nominee in this case.

Hang in there.

If Obama is still the nominee and goes down to a massive record defeat in the fall, it is the end of the Democratic party.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-05-14 20:07:05

Otherwise we dam well know we should expect riots in Denver by the RECREATE68 lunatics.

Judgements will be made by the majority of the American Public if this occurs. Many right wing pundits are playing “dumb”, on purpose to keep the good stuff for “firing for effect”.

The response to this 68 crap will be extremly harsh if any of them even step off the curb.

That is going be all over the TV. As Obama has demonstrated quite well, he is incapable of changing anything except thru violence.

That is all he knows.

Obamakids, you’re bothering me. Please go play on the freeway.

Anyone who has to ask why Hillary supporters have pledged not to vote for Obama has not been paying attention. We’re simply too smart to fall for the empty, substanceless rhetoric. We prefer a president with brilliance, brains, and brawn. That would be Hillary, in case you don’t get it.

If we can’t have Hillary, at least McCain won’t destroy us the way Obama will. Yes, we’ll have to make sure the Congress keeps McCain on a tight rein, but we’ll survive 4 years of him. I don’t know if we can survive 4 years of Obama’s gross inexperience.

And even though Hillary may ask us to support Obama, her followers are able to use their brains and make decisions on their own.

I won’t vote for Obama. Ever.

Go make calls to Oregon, tell them to mail in their ballots. Get the votes out, she’s still in this.

Even if the whole democratic gaggle of “also rans” are against her.

Just read on another site about Brazile thowing Gays under the bus. Again. Old story but Dean confirmed it today so the gay pride groups must be thrilled anew at Brazile’s “rights” statement. Apparently Gays aren’t welcome in the Dem party either. Guess we need to gather all the excluded, offended coalitions into an anti democratic group.

The new democratic plan - Win without any of our core and alienate and banish everybody but AA’s.

Keep going dems, I was going to write in Hillary but thanks to SWEETIE being your candidate of choice and railroading I just might be crazy enough to actually do the unthinkable and vote for… you know who.

Speaking about Hillary Clinton, Edwards said:

“It is very very hard to get up every day and do what she’s done. It is hard to get out there and fight and speak up when the odds turn against you. What she has shown is strength and character and what drives her is something that each and every one of us should appreciate. She cares about working people…men and women in Iraq…she is a woman made of steel and she is a leader in this country not because of her husband but because of what she has done…When this nomination battle is over, brothers and sisters, we must come together as Democrats and in the fall stand up for the future of America to make America better. We are a stronger party because Hillary Clinton is a Democrat…and we will have a stronger presidential nominee in the fall because of her work.”

What I want to know is why now? John Edwards hurt a lot of people with this endorsement. He just wasn’t content to let the primary run its course. He wanted to try to force Obama on us. It won’t work.

But why would Edwards do it now, when Clinton supporters were so happy about her win last night. Edwards disgusts me with the way he has come out to shit on the millions of loyal democrats who support Hillary Clinton. He should be ashamed of himself.

Comment by Catriley | 2008-05-14 18:10:50

I’m right there with you, Susan. I’m through with those clowns.

I knew in my heart that John Edwards would do this. Even though Hillary (NOT Obama) stands for, and has worked for, everything Edwards said was important to him. Every fucking single thing… UNIVERSAL health care, college for everyone, poverty, veterans health care. I knew Edwards would endorse Obama because Edwards is first and foremost in it for himself. Always has been.

I was an Edwards supporter in 2004. I supported him at the caucus, and grudingly voted for Kerry when Edwards dropped out. But.. a strange thing happened at the convention that year, as I watched on TV. John and Elizabeth were up in their seats, and the camera came upon them. John gave his megawatt smile for the camera on cue, but then he noticed out of the corner of his eye that Elizabeth was drinking a soda and not paying attention. Oh. you should have seen the look on his face change instantly. He reprimanded her and she immediately ditched the soda and smiled, while John, in an instant, turned back to the camera as though nothing had happened and beamed that big smile. As anyone who knows me can tell you, I have an uncanny ability to read people almost instantly… I can read microexpressions easily.

Frankly, it made my blood run cold. I was crushed because I’d realized that he really was as phony as people suggested he was. It was just a nanosecond… but it was palpable.

This time around I decided to try supporting him again, as I had already considered and rejected OBama as too inexperienced, and didn’t know what Hillary was all about yet. It didn’t take me long to throw my support behind Hillary, the geniune candidate of the three.

So.. it saddens me, but does not surprise me that Edwards would be yet another ambitious male sidling up to Obama. It’s a complete slap in the face to the working families that support Hillary. I mean.. c’mon John, WTF has Obama EVER done for working families??? Uninsured??? College Students? Veterans?? Women?

As far as the dysfunction known as the Democratic Party. I’m pretty sure I’m done with the losers. It seems inherently impossible for that Party to pick a winner. They sit there on their multi-million dollar asses in their Italian suits and can’t seem to figure out why their handpicked candidates can’t win. They’re out of touch with the people that vote in the GE.

Frankly, I don’t want to be part of a party that includes Donna Brazille, David Axelrove, Bill Richardson, et al.

Oh, and the trolls who are blowing a gasket because people here are through with the Party? Who cares? Last time I checked I was a free citizen in a free country. I can vote for whomever I want, I can register as a libertarian if I want to, I can become one of the DISILLUSIONED millions and give up on the process all together. Gee… ever wonder WHY people are cynical about politics and politicians now?

So.. screw you DNC. Screw you Obamabots. Screw you David Axelrod. Though I’ll be sad to see another 4 years of republican rule, I’ll enjoy the floor show when Obama’s ass gets handed to him in November. He’d never win even if all of us voted for him. yeah.. he’s that bad.

So the boys are together again, against the little old lady! How nice. This Edwards endorsement will hurt the party further instead of unifying — if he had remained neutral, that could have been achieved. Now Hillary supporters and women especially have to feel ganged up on and they will dig their heels. So another sign that the party does not care for the women’s vote.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-14 18:43:14

They did it to distract from how badly their candidate got clobbered. They can’t afford to look like they are backing the ultimate LOSER … which of course, they are. What they have accomplished of course is to further harden her supporters. Nice move! NO OBAMA!

He signalled last week that he “may” endorse.

I’d watch for it.

Really, it’s a disaster, and they don’t know what to do about it. Instead of dropping off, her support is growing.

They are throwing the kitchen sink of endorsements in there to see if anything will work.

Which is frankly part of the problem….they aren’t too bright.

The more they do this, the madder her supporters get and the more determined they become.
