Lavender Newswire’s Brilliant Guide to Obamabots

From “Obama Supporters: Do you have any idea how predictable you’ve become? (P.S. Nobody’s buying your latest nicey-poo ploy.)“:

obotbehavior500vh.jpg

Lavender Newswire’s motto? We’re here. We’re queer. We’re news junkies.

MORE:

Notice something? For about three days after his supporters declared Barack Obama the “presumptive nominee” (the DNC didn’t; Obama himself didn’t; his supporters did), the constant bashing of us non-believers and calls to banish us (and Hillary) from the Democratic Party (and maybe even the planet), forever, suddenly subsided, to be replaced by sickeningly cloying calls for “unity” and “graciousness,” ’cause, after all, “we’re all Democrats.”

This, non-believers, is how stupid the Obamabots really think we are.

It was as if The Big Giant Head at Obama Central texted new marching orders to the cell phones (or perhaps directly into the brain-chip implants) of all Obamaniacs simultaneously, and that message went something like this: “OMFG REDID DA MATH: WE FD UP. 86 OPERATION HRC BASH IMMED PROCEED W/OPERATION MAKE NICEY NICE ASAYGT. ACK.”

All of a sudden, Obama supporters everywhere — on once-Democratic message boards (now exclusively Obama Outposts), and on their own blogs, and as they infiltrate pro-Clinton blogs — responded, Pavlov-like, as if a switch had been pulled.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one to notice this. Curious to learn the extent of this phenomenon, I went surfing through dozens of non-Obama blogs and message boards (I don’t call them all “pro-Hillary,” as those of us immune to the Twu-Bewiever Kool-Aid are not all necessarily Hillary supporters; many of us just see Obama for what he really is, and our blood runs cold at the thought of leaving our nation in his most incapable hands), and found: It’s everywhere. …

FABULOUS! Great Post Susan! I love the wheel!

BTW: John Edwards is enough to make anyone sick. Now I am GLAD he never got to be Vice President with that sick rat Kerry. They can windsurf themselves off the edge of propitiation for all I care. He is so typical isn’t he? He stabs Hillary and her supporters in the back and then turns around and announces how courageous and wonderful she is. Well listen Johnny Boy -

Thanks for the video.

Hillary is so going to win.

FROM ROSEANNE BARR’S BLOG:

yes we can!

win without white working class votes (they are racists anyways) feminists supporters of emily’s list (Again, all older white women are racists, like Obama’s grandma), those who could not afford college (obviously racists or they would have found a way to go to college), centrists and centrist jews (again, racist or they would be left of center). If no one in the party votes for Obama in the general we will blame Bill and Hillary (racists). We can get alot of young people who have never voted before and alot of the dissaffected run off from the republican party. NOW THAT’S UNITY!

Women, men, young and old, people of All religions, ethnicities and backgrounds. I’ve never ever called in my ‘female’ card. Nor my multi ethnic cards. Nor any card other than a PATRIOTIC AMERICAN CARD, and I beg you to write to all the super delegates, call them, their assistants, the press and TELL THEM WE WILL NEVER VOTE OBAMA. NO MATTER WHAT. HE MAY BE THEIR ‘FAVORITE SON’, BUT HILLARY IS OUR ‘FAVORITE DAUGHTER, MOTHER, SISTER, GRANDMOTHER, GREAT AUNT, AND MOTHER EARTH’—SHE CAN LEAD THIS COUNTRY WITH STRENGTH AND WISDOM. SHE HAS GRACE AND GRIT UNDER HORRENDOUS FIRE AND TERRIBLE ODDS, BUT SHE HAS PROVEN HERSELF, EVEN TO THE MEN OF OUR COUNTRY, TO OUR MILITARY GENERALS, TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES AS A HEALER AND A FIGHTER. DON’T LET HER DOWN OREGON, DON’T LET HER DOWN MICHIGAN & FLORIDA, WRITE HER IN ACROSS THE NATION, LET’S MAKE HISTORY. DON’T STAY HOME & NOT VOTE—VOTE HILLARY. DON’T LET US DOWN AMERICA. DON’T VOTE REPUBLICAN JOIN ME AND MILLIONS OF OTHERS & WRITE IN HILLARY CLINTON. LET’S START THE CAMPAIGN NOW. EVEN IF THEY PUSH HER TO ASK US TO STOP—DON’T. ELVIS SANG ‘IF I CAN DREAM’ AND ALSO ‘I BELIEVE’—TWO GREAT SONGS, AND ONE GREAT WOMAN. STAND UP AND BE COUNTED, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR COLOR, RACE, BACKGROUND—STAND UP FOR HILLARY, SHE HAS TAKEN ALL THE PUNCHES, NEVER FLINCHED, AND IS STILL STANDING. VOTE FOR HER. AND FIGHT FOR HER. THIS NEXT PORTION GOES TO THE PRESS, EVEN THOSE NOT MENTIONED ON CNN OR MSNBC OR OTHER STATIONS.

ATTENTION: Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, and the so-called ‘BEST NEWS TEAM IN TELEVISION’. (I DARE YOU TO MENTION OUR CONCERNS OR OUR OPINIONS) and all the Phony followers of the Fake Teflon ANTI AMERICAN Obama. By the way I am of mixed ethnicity and am ashamed of what is going on in our Country full of Apologist Whites, and black racists. You are all cowards and afraid to call it like it is.

I’m so rabidly angry at our Democratic Party, at the Press and the juvenile ‘young college rebels without a cause’ that I find myself foaming at the mouth. Maybe because I really am scared. Our Planet is truly in peril. It needs people of sense & power to FIX THE MESS, not just WORDS—ACTION.

When originally presented with 3 potential democrats, all sounding good, I sent $$$ to all three and waited to see what floated up. In Edwards I found a well intentioned but uninspiring leader who couldn’t cut it, WHOM NOW I CALL A BETRAYER. In Obama, we found a traitor to our Country, Unpatriotic, sleazy in his lies, a racist with so much unpalatable ‘baggage’ i.e. the bigoted, obviously insane Rev. Wright and his lunatic fringe Religion, not forgetting the very group who in fact is one of Obama’s biggest contributors through his ‘NATION OF ISLAM’, namely Farrakhan.
In Hillary I found a true Patriot. A compassionate American, who, though buffeted by the Press, outspent 3 to one, abandoned by her own Party who thought that Obama’s slogan “YES WE CAN”, meant ‘Oh. Yeah we can APPEASE the Terrorists, the Anti Whites, Anti Jews, Anti Hispanics, Anti Roman, Anti Catholic, anti EVERYTHING NOT AFRICAN, by voting for a Black man.
ALL OF THE MANY ETHNICITIES WITHIN ME, ALL MY VARIOUS RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS, ALL OF THE WORLD’S MEMORIES OF PEOPLE LIKE HITLER REBELLED WITHIN ME, AND OBAMA SIMPLY BECAME ANATHEMA.
Obama is a chameleon who will morph into anything you want to suit the situation, a man who will garner ALL OF THE BLACK VOTE, REGARDLESS OF WHAT MARTIN LUTHER KING FELT WAS THE MEASURE OF A MAN’S GREATNESS, I.E. ‘THE CONTENT OF HIS CHARACTER … NOT THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN’. J.F.K. and Robert Kennedy also died because they were pro-civil rights, but would any of those racist black voters remember this? Do they remember Bill and Hillary’s great contributions to their causes?
NO & THEY, LIKE THE PRESS, IGNORE OBAMA’S LIES ABOUT ATTENDING REV. WRIGHT’S HATEFUL SERMONS, YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR, OR ACCEPTING FARRAKHAN AS A GREAT LEADER OF THE NATION OF ISLAM? YO… SINCE WHEN DID AMERICA BECOME ‘THE NATION OF ISLAM?” AND SINCE WHEN DO WE HAVE A POTENTIAL PRESIDENT ENDORSE THE DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL AS REV. WRIGHT AND FARRAKHAN DO? YOU’RE ALL DRINKING THE COOL-AID. SHAME ON YOU.

After O.J. Simpson, it became apparent that most of all blacks will vote Obama, whether he is qualified, deceitful, or can win in November, so the Democratic Party threw Hillary under the Bus, like Obama threw his mother and grandparents hoping to guarantee a win in November.

Well Democrats, you guessed wrong! We are writing in Hillary Clinton, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. NO MATTER IF YOU PLEAD FOR US TO’RALLY ROUND THE FLAG BOYS’, NO MATTER IF SHE PLEADS FOR US TO DO SO. A STOLEN ELECTION IS NOT A FOUNDATION FOR OUR NEW PRESIDENT, SO, IF OUR ‘WRITE-IN’ DOESN’T WORK FOR HILLARY, IT WILL THROW A GIGANTIC, IRREPARABLE MONKEY WRENCH INTO THE WORKS FOR THE DEMOCRATS
& GUESS WHAT? WE’LL HAVE McCain FOR PRESIDENT. I WON’T VOTE FOR him BUT MY VOTE FOR HILLARY & ALL THE PEOPLE I WILL CONVINCE TO JOIN ME TO DO SO, WILL MAKE HIS BID A SHOE-IN, AND YOU WILL ALL HAVE THE WHITE HOUSE YOU DESERVE.

If you want us to all go to hell in a hand basket with Obama I say let’s WRITE-IN Hillary & if we wind up with McCain, SO BE IT.YOU’VE PISSED OFF MORE THAN 70% OF YOUR BASE & YOU’LL HAVE A MINIMUM DEFECTION OF 45% IN ALL THOSE MAJOR PRIMARY STATES WHO WILL JOIN ME & KILL THIS ELECTION.

It’s Obama Stupid…NOT HILLARY, who is his own worst enemy & the obvious Press bias & the obvious kiss-ass Super Delegates who think they’ll be better able to ‘control’ a neophyte Senator over a veteran campaigner like Hillary. SORRY, BUT YOU JUST PUSHED TOO FAR, TOO HARD, & YOU MUST GIVE US MICHIGAN & FLORIDA 100% as the voters DEMANDED, NOT THE B.S. 49% TO 59% RATIO. Do the bloody thing right or bear the consequences. If you’re so sure Obama is the People’s choice PUT IT TO THE TEST. BUT DO IT NOW, AND STOP TELLING HILLARY TO QUIT. THE FACT THAT SHE HASN’T PROVES SHE IS THE RIGHT PRESIDENT FOR THIS COUNTRY. I BET OBAMA AND HIS ‘ENTITLEMENT’ WIFE WOULD HAVE RUN FOR THE HILLS IF YOU’D TREATED HIM 1/90TH AS BADLY AS YOU HAVE TREATED HILLARY AND BILL. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU. P.S MICHELLE DESERVES MAJOR CRITICISM, OSTRACISM & REVISION. SHE’S GAME THE MOMENT SHE OPENS HER MOUTH.
We are so sick of you Newscasters & trying to crown Obama the Teflon King & your biased reporting and back-stabbing pundits that we will NOT stay in the Democratic Party, will NOT endorse you for offices, will NOT fund your programs — suck on that lemon and see how it tastes.

Ditto for all you Press people. We will start a campaign AGAINST your Sponsors & stop viewing you & STOP BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS. YOU ALL ASPIRE TO BE ‘STARS’, TRUST ME, YOU CAN’T ACT, YOU HAVE NO LOOKS, NO TALENT & SHOULDN’T GIVE UP YOUR DAY JOBS (Asst. Janitors would be my guess).

Nice try the day after Hillary pounds Obama in WV. What a turd! He had his wife both know perfectly well that Hillary’s universal health care plan is absolutely essential for the good of our country. Elizabeth came out in favor of Hillary’s plan weeks ago. And now this?

Brilliant. Don’t let the Obama campaign bamboozle you into voting “democrat” if Obama gets elected.

It would be nice to see a diagram, like a concept map, showing Obama (at the center of course) and all his associations- rezko, wright, farrakhan, Auchi, Saddam, etc…The graphic should be done in red and black, which are colors the Black Panthers use. Snippets of Black Liberation theology, Michelle’s thesis, and Obama own words should be sprinkled here and there. Avoid the race card, but concentrate on the “radical” equation.

Comment by rwc | 2008-05-15 15:12:25

You better tell that to Taylor Marsh and other Democratic party hacks and kool-aid drinkers who think coming together for Obama is a good thing.

Obama is poison for the country period. No amount of putting lipstick on this swine will change it.

The faster party hacks like Marsh understand that the better chance they have of salvaging the party after Obama wrecks it.

Otherwise they risk going down with Obama, which may be a good thing if they are too dense to realize the problems Obama pose for the DP.

I’ve been pretty disgusted with what I’ll call brazen misogyny during this campaign and started checking in on your blog.

It’s a great anger reliever for this is what I have perceived for a long time now. I didn’t like any of the candidates but because the Obama campaign is so like the Borg, I’m positively I cannot hold my nose and vote for that in November.

Comment by Hope | 2008-05-15 16:03:05

Obama has no shame. He just thinks he’s extraordinarily special. What a fool he is. The best thing that could happen for his self-development would be a reality check, i.e., voted out in the GE, that is if he gets the nom. He needs some humility, a thing sorely lacking in his personality. I have a feeling he’s a sociopath. They always manage to manipulate their way into people’s lives by their charm and sugar -tongues.

Nothing the DNC and Obama endorsers in the party are doing makes any sense. The Obama staffer who was reported as saying Obama will declare victory on May 20 makes no sense. Both of these make no sense unless the Democratic party has lost its mind or something else.

I think what is really going on is Obama is being shown the door and to decrease the hostility level of the Obama activists they are being fed a false sense of security. Once things fully calm down Obama will step aside for personal reasons or if he is uncooperative will be pushed aside because his candidacy is no longer viable. The delegates can switch any time they want up until they vote. So I am not concerned, as long as Hillary is not concerned. And she looks very confident lately! The most I’ve ever seen her!

Keep donating and volunteering for Hillary. She still needs to stay in the game to win the game. If I am right, when she does win the nomination McCain will never be able to stop her. Maybe Howard Dean is not as stupid as many people have been assuming.

Larry Johnson sums this up better than I did but from a different angle:

Hillary needs to stay in the campaign till the end because by the time August rolls around the damage to Barack will be so significant that rational folks will realize he is unelectable notwithstanding the mess Republicans have made of things.

My advice? Patience. Let Barack have his codpiece, “Mission Accomplished” moment. Like George Bush, he will rue his strutting and preening and declaring premature victory. Reality will intrude.

Comment by SensibleWoman | 2008-05-15 14:58:25

Patience is THE virtue.

I heard Paul Begala on the radio with Ed Schultz and
Schultz felt that Obama was going to have
2025 by May 20. He just got 9 delegates today from
Edwards…… Schultz asked Begala if this happens then the DNC can’t change the number needed and it would be unnecessary for them to meet on Florida and Michigan. Begala said that is right. I think that Obama is trying to get this done before the
DNC meets.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-05-15 17:37:27

Yes, he is. Hillary has more people on the rules committee.

However, his numbers are tanking.

Comment by Pheonix | 2008-05-15 17:42:24

2209 is the only number that counts. 2025 is not what the rules state. Obama and his surrogates can whine all they want. Get your facts here.

As more voters make their choice for the Democratic nomination, there is growing interest in the facts and myths about the race to reach 2209 delegate votes - the number required for a candidate to secure the nomination with Florida and Michigan included. The Obama campaign is claiming, without precedent or justification, that automatic delegates (commonly referred to as “super delegates”) should switch to Sen. Obama en masse based on arbitrary metrics, with the aim of tilting the delegate balance in his favor. The fact is: no automatic delegate is required to cast a vote on the basis of anything other than his or her best judgment about who is the most qualified to be president.

Comment by karen for Clinton | 2008-05-15 21:49:35

Delegates aren’t pledged, not even the pledged delegates are pledged. So what?

There will still be a convention and the floor will still have roll call.

After the primaries it goes on till August and doesn’t end till the confetti drops for the last time.

That said… Obama supporters, all that hate you feel is not only destroying your chances for election this fall, it is also creating a toxic environment, and probably damaging your health. You have to let it go, it is clouding your judgement.

Exposing Obamas (to a lesser extent) and the African American communities (to a greater extent) intoleranace of gay people could be that play. It is the sort of thing that could play well in both Oregon and Kentucky if it was a clever play.

Some of you people on this blog are, seriously, too stupid to live, nevermind vote. Y’all post on here about Obamamanias, Obamabots and sipping on Kool Aid. But I don’t think you people are just sipping on Kool Aid, I think y’all went out and bought the freaking company. Both HRC and Obama have both said they are not that far apart when it comes to their policy positions but you fools would rather vote McCain whose policies are diametrically opposed to both HRC and Obama’s policies? So you want our grandchildren to be in debt to China for the rest of their lives? You want substandard education (ranked in the bottom tier of all Western Nations)? You want to end up paying $10 for gas? You don’t want more affordable healthcare? It is not the Obama supporters who have bought into the cult of personality but certain (not all, not even a majority) of HRC supporters who have deified their candidate. If you silly Democrats will vote McCain (thereby acting like a child who takes home his ball after losing the game) I say you deserve what the next four to eight years of McCain presidency will do to this country.

Grow the hell up!

Comment by GregA | 2008-05-15 15:04:10

I know how Obama could win Kentucky… Given his track record on Gay issues(against gay marriage, against gays in military), he could support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage in light of the California decision today…

Im not suggesting he do this… Just that it would alter the the dynamics of the Kentucky primary enough that he would not carry the unelectable label to the convention.

Comment by hillarysmygirl | 2008-05-15 15:09:31

Or will what Axelrod recently said, having such little faith in B O’s supporters (like Larry O’Donnell’s revelations that “they’re not that sharp”) be correct, that B O can be honest and say anything and that won’t change the perception they have already created for him.

Will he suddenly embrace the LGBT and ask all be forgiven, his bashing and anti Gay touring, refusing to even have a picture taken with Gavin Newsome after asking him to raise money TWICE, because he was known as the Gay Mayor? Or will he continue to show his hypocrisy of divide and conquer and throw the ruling down the trash?

Because I’m in the Bay Area and this is Obama country, I had just assumed that all the gays in the City would go for Obama since SF is Obama country and that is where he CHOSE to make those idiotic and mean statements regarding the bitter, gun-toting, bible thumping typical white hicks.

Thank you for sharing. Maybe there is some hope then.

Definitely. My Gay friends all opposed and dislike him, and that’s being kind- from Seattle to Cinci, down to South Miami. Only one is going Green instead of supporting HIllary (for now :D).

…I’m sorry about the Yuppie development though.

The pro-Obama blogs are way out of touch with the good people of the swing states needed to be elected president. The good honest hard working people don’t read those blogs. Let the young people masturbate as it relieves tension. And we will let the voters determine the outcome: President Hillary Clinton.

Or was it the PAYDAY she was after?

Becomes an eager tool for the far right, makes somewhat of a “name” for herself, and then, when the Rightwing Ship of Fools is full to bursting, she flips to the other team, the better to get television bookings as an arbiter for the other side (and, with the added cachet of of being able to say she knows both sides–Andrew Sullivan pulled the same bullshit trick).

Craven Opportunism, Thy Name is Arianna.

She’s also an asshole on airplanes, so I’ve heard.

I think the Obama staff has been consuming too much of its own Kool-Aid - maybe they over indulged at that victory party. They think we will fall for their poorly thought out plans and half-baked ideas. Does Obama really believe we do not see through what has happened in the last 24 hours - he has tipped his hand - he thinks buying John Edwards will bring back the rural male vote and NARAL will bring back the women. It is too bad he did not look at the polls - Hillary not Edwards is carrying rural voters. Also, women are just not the scared about Roe v Wade - worst case scenario it becomes a state issue. My attitude is more radical - if the young women do not care why should I. I will vote for McCain if Hillary is not the nominee and finally vote to benefit my pocket book.

Women have been messed over for many years by the Democrat Party and it appears that millions of “US” will be returning the favor, should this primary season continue on its current path. Hillary Clinton is clearly the best choice to be our party’s nominee for President. As a life-long Democrat, age 55, I think the way my party has hosed Hillary and their most loyal and largest voting block; women intolerable. I am confident the Democrat Party will pay a severe price for this blatant assault on women in November. Cry all you want about this being “sour grapes” but little good will result from your on-going efforts to rally Hillary’s staunch supporters around your chosen candidate instead of the people’s choice. Now, the Democrat Party leaders want women to get their pre- selected from the start, elite, wimp, Barack Obama elected in November. It will be cold day in hell before I comply and I also hope Hillary walks away from this Party. Most of the women, and many men as well, with whom I have contact are finished with the Democrat Party, now and forever. Also, many of “US” are starting a grassroots movement to insure these kind of sorry tactics employed by my now soon to be former party, never happen again. This clear favoring of Obama, making him the nominee because the party doesn’t want a woman, especially a Clinton woman, is more that I can tolerate. Of all the gall, the Democrat Party now expects “US” girls, including Hillary, to turn over our undying support to Obama. Sorry guys, this is not going to happen. Obama has no shot of winning in November without Hillary’s help and all of us, her supporters. Not on your life or in your wildest dreams is this going to happen. Democrat Party leaders take heed and you superdelegates had better wait to declare your support until the final results of all the primaries are tallied and the voices of all 50 states and territories are heard from. At that time, the real nominee of the people can be declared for the fall election. Let it be known that the damage has already been done to the largest voting block in America. However, it remains to be seen how deep these “bitterly disappointing and highly blatant attacks” are to women. In my mind, this is a travesty and affects all women of America. I for one will change my registration to Independent, and possibly Republican, on the day I vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton in the KY primary. Bye, bye and good riddance from Mary O’Bryan, Louisville, KY, to my former party, no matter what happens in the primaries left to come.

Obama Hires 400 new bloggers to sway Hillary supporters
Apparently, according to FOX News, the Obama campaign has hired 400 bloggers to influence the public discourse and sway Hillary voters to “remember we are all Democrats”, to give up Clinton’s cause, and to become dutiful citizens of the Obama Nation.

Also, it’s been noted by several HillBuzz readers, that Obama volunteers are being told to ratchet down the anti-Hillary hate, because someone in the campaign realizes Hillary Clinton supporters are not very likely to support Obama if he becomes the nominee.

Hi, popped over from TalkLeft and have been reading your blog with interest. Here is a site you might be interested in. http://www.writehillaryin.com/ We can all write her in. We should also write her campaign and make sure they get her on the write-in ballot for the states that require it. Otherwise, the write-in will just be a protest vote and not counted in the vote totals. I do hope you will all write in Hillary, if by some chance she doesn’t get the nomination. Just imagine the looks on the faces of the pundits when they have to announce the winner is Hillary by a landslide of write-in votes. Just thinking about it makes me grin ear-to-ear. It would also make her a doubly history making candidate..first woman and first write-in candidate to win.
