Assuming the allegations by Ron Suskind in his latest book are true, and every day that passes seems to make the truth of his allegations more and more likely, then doesn't it seem that the Bush Administration actually could have faked the whole 9/11 attack itself? Keep in mind that there is a sizable group of people out there who do not believe that we have been told the the whole truth about the events on 9/11/2003. The group is called "Scholars for 9/11 Truth," and includes such notables as Paul Craig Roberts, who was the Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy during the first Reagan Administration (see http://www.lewrockwell.com/roberts/roberts-arch.html for a list of articles written by Roberts), and Morgan Reynolds, who was the Chief Economist of the Labor Department during the first George W. Bush Administration (see http://www.lewrockwell.com/reynolds/reynolds7.html for an article written by Reynolds entitled "9/11 Skepticism"). Many of the Scholars for 9/11 Truth believe the whole dastardly events that happened on that infamous date were actually all engineered by the Bush-Cheney Administration, and that the 3 World Trade Center Buildings that fell on that day were all demolished by some controlled-demolition process. If the Bush-Cheney Administration was capable of faking the Habbush letter, which resulted in more American soldiers killed than in all of WW II and the killing of countless innocent civilians in Iraq, it would not take much of a stretch to believe they also engineered all of the events of 9/11! I sincerely hope that the U.S. Congress will investigate ALL the many Crimes against Humanity committed by the Bush-Cheney Administration!

Remember when Hillary thought the Pakistani elections were for President, but they were actually for parliament? That was awesome.

Bonus comedy from The Hills on that one:

"He could be the only person on the ballot. I don't think that's a real election," she told ABC's George Stephanopolous December 30.

Please keep this clueless liar out of the White House!

A bit of topic, but given the discussion of Bush and or Obama's lack of familiarity with foreign policy, I have a question regarding Israel.

In the Atlantic, the May issue, the author gave some background as to the founding of Israel, the expectations of Ben Gurion, and others, and he made a statement referring to the ancient "European hatred of Jews, " the establishment of Israel thought a means to escape it.

Who is the best historian to read in regard to this issue, why the hatred?

<blockquote>If by some freaking nightmare happens and barky gets elected we will only have to endure 1 year of it since he gets bored so easily. He’ll move on to running for Pope.</blockquote>

Thanks, Taters, Great article!

An editor that doesn't write. Is he the freakin' opposite of everything he sez he is? Why, YES!!! But he's right on the money with the Republican tactic of "If we say it is true, than it is true. Do not bother to spout off your so-called FACTS. We do not pay attention to them!"

Sounds like lots of "Democrats" these days. Everything is upside down. But we can hang - we are tough, we are smart, and we are ready to fight this to the BITTER end!

Rember, Axelrod was with Edwards on one of his campaigns. Did he owe Axelrod or did Axelrod have something on Edwards? It was not the most enthusiastic endorsement I have ever seen.

When you start investigating his past, you keep coming in contact with Pakistanis friends and Muslim roommates in NY and Occidental. Visits to Pakistan, and you don't run into any women??? Two guys walking a dog on the upper W. side...There is one guy, a Pakistani named Siddiqi, who knew Obama in Occidental and who knew him at Columbia. He is described as a druggie who went with Obama to Pakistan. His roommate in Occidental was a Pakistani (muslim?), Imad Husain. I just have to wonder about his acquaintences. Alot of guys...where are the girls? I have gay guy friends and straight guy friends. Obama's experiences most parallel the gay friends. One noted he was known for wearing puka bead necklaces and really short shorts. How many of your straight friends are known for that fashion statements in the early eighties? And the upper W side had a lot of gays back then. I am not saying being gay is bad, (I am gay and I know of what I speak) but it is a real problem if he is a closeted gay man trying to be President who has a thing for Pakistani Muslim men. Talk about a ticking bomb! This, to me accounts for his personality problems. His attempts to fit in. TO deny so much of himself. Both the white part and the "gay" part. His hope and change. His McGlurkin tour, the gay guy who changed. The refusal to be photographed with Gavin Newsome. Maybe Obama is hoping he has changed too.

He's no Bill Clinton, who LOVED to campaign and wove his campaign personality into himself as though it were a glove, never having to really even expend brain power.

Hillary isn't Bill, either, of course. She's a "marching order, stick to the text" and then allows herself brain creativity at the "right moments."

Obama is a shell. It takes every ounce of energy for him to keep up the campaign pretense.

That's because so much of his true self is lying.

You can down load this book from Lulu.com for only $5.00 And it was a great read and well worth the money. Unfortunately you won't be doing anything else this weekend because you will be totally engaged in the book. Everything I checked up on, checked out. It gives some really great insights.

I am beginning to wonder about Obama's education or perhaps his mental capacity including memory and the ability to retain factual information. Other recent examples include 57 states, claiming certain past Presidents (e.g., FDR, JFK) directly negotiated with enemies when they didn't, forgetting he not only met Auchi in Chicago but he even toasted him, ya da ya da.... Or maybe this type of mental deficiency could be attributed to longterm effects from his admitted fairly extensive past marijuana and cocaine use (no heroin though remember)? Well in any event he'd better stop bashing older folk by saying things about John McCain about John "losing his bearings". Because the same could be said about him if that's the dirty politics he wants to continue to play. Where's the outrage by the press about how mean he's being to Hillary Clinton by insultin her like this BY THE WAY?

Taters,

WOW! What a great roundup and presentation of Barky's lack of Foreign Affairs experience and the danger for us that lies therein.

I am a research geek, and I can really got lost in embedded links.

Thanks for satisfying my wonky habits as well as my need to delve deeply into a subject.

Terrific Work - and best morning coffee read I have had in ages.

How often have I watched women work hard, develop the foundation of their areas, invest true passion…and then along comes some man without a blush of knowledge get the job.

Sometimes it's not a man but another woman with better connections -- or other assets.

It happens to men too, often. Always has.

Only when there is some identifiable difference do people call it an -ism.

When the more qualified applicant gets the job, the less qualified one calls it <em>elitism</em>.

One thing is sure, he had to be vetted by the power structure. No one gets in unless they're on the "take".

Unfortunately, this is true with EVERYONE in politics.

But some "takes" are more evil than others, and international tomfoolery, is one of the worst. As it's no longer about this country's citizens calling the shots, but international power brokers.

BTW, to tie in on your message: Remember Sam Nunn signed on for Obama. And guess what his post-politics work was about? <em><strong>Nuclear Disarmament.</strong></em>

Ties that binds?

I really must read this book. But I have to say as someone familiar with Columbia U, his unwillingness to discuss these years sounded suspicious to me from the start. It simply does not make any sense. And I'll go you one better, I think he was recruited before he got to Columbia, that's why he transfered.
