You’ve now seen Alegre’s diary, which she posted last night at MyDD.com. Here’s the rest of the story.
Two things happened:
1) Alegre received an official warning (BELOW THE FOLD), and she had to acknowledge, by clicking the buttons, that she saw the SINS ERRORS of her ways in order to be able to continue to post at MyDD.
2) Alegre’s diary was edited. This portion, she says, was removed: “At MyDD the admin. saw fit to delete all references to those 400 bloggers that may or may not be on Obama’s payroll.” [THIS IS THE FIRST TIME in any of our memories that a diary has ever been edited on ANY blog. If a diary is offensive to the admins, it is erased. BUT TO EDIT IT? WITHOUT collaboration with the author? Unbelievable behavior.]
Her experience is not unlike that of Larry Johnson’s who chose to respond this way: “Fuck KOS!.” (If you’ve never read Larry’s rant against Daily Kos, you must!)

I saw the proof that the “Obama” is a cult movement in the WA State caucus I went to last Feb. When you see a group of people acting with a kind of religious fervor — absolute belief in their leader as the ALL knowing and ALL wise — and not using any logic what-so-ever — then you know you are in the presence of a CULT.
The Obamabots only knew that they had FAITH in their supreme leader — that he would do the right thing and slay the dragon.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a surprise. I get banned from more liberal leaning sites than any other, period (surprised that I lasted this long on one).
GOP types will rant and scream, but I can post despite I’m not socially conservative (and will disagree on about half the issues they raise, especially blind partisanship).

Jonathan Singer was on as admin last night I think. He pulls the trigger immediately (I was posting a comment on another diary and it disappeared as I was typing - it hadn’t been up longer than 5 minutes.)
MyDD has gotten really bad - I was thinking this AM of not going back, but I want to support Alegre et al as they try and break through the (obviously) Obmama hacks who are probably also paid! I find myself leaving less and less comments - just “wrecking” and running.
My thinking is not to bother going there–let them breathe in their own toxic fumes. I stopped frequenting MyDD weeks ago when I realized the ever-tilting slant towards the Erzatz One was promoting an increasingly malicious anti-Hillary bias among the comments section. But this instance of censorship is outrageous. It’s a flagrante abuse of power–a very unethical stance. I guess MyDD is really an acronym for My Diminishing Discernment…or My Debilitating Dementia.
If the Clinton supporters leave MyDD, the Kos Trolls will bail instantly, and Todd will have to get his day job back. Hee-Hee.

Bloggers on the take? hardly news. Look many of them aren’t making much money and it someone comes along and offers them a grand a month to shut down anti-Obama posters. They are going to do it.
Think about it, notice how almost overnight many blogs went anti-Hillary and pro-Obama.
Or the fact that many blog admins let the obamabots bully other posters.
That is a fact. I noticed it. I bet you could pin point the week it happened. It took about a month for me to get the full impact. I am just sick. I still wonder just who all is behind this. One knows that Obama or his people are behind this, but I always think that there is more to this than even Obama. It is big, really big if you ask me!

Personally, I don’t read that site or Huffington Post, and I don’t think people should feed their articles into it, either.
The only time I ever see most of the sexist commentators is on u-tube, and I always wonder why anyone would watch them in real life. They are just boorish and rude people.
Even some of the blogs where I like the authors have decided that any mention of race is “race-baiting.” I left that blog, too, because it’s insane to discuss this primary without discussing the racial issues that are so clearly a part of the campaign.
I don’t mind scrubbing posts to get rid of name-calling or gross insults, but other than that, I can’t imagine how blogs will survive with all this censorship going on.
It’s opposite of what the medium is all about.
Part of the reason (which most bloggers don’t understand until they rent or colo their own server) is their AUP/TOS agreement. A site can be shut down over this PC crap, if they tolerate “hate speech” (love ADL now?). Yeah, an owner isn’t liable for even hosting a thread of folks planning a murder; but if it’s a thread calling XYZ a racist, the site can be unplugged without notice.
This is why sites police the stuff, as they don’t want to face their money train going down, nor a fat lawsuit for libel.
Censorship is an evil thing. Because calling for even a bona-fide hate site to closed down, a site for the public good can face the same fate. Which is why actually practicing diversity and tolerance is a MUCH better solution — then such threats don’t exist.
Interesting, but this was hardly anything remotely close to that, of course.
What bothered me was that it’s as offensive to suggest someone is race-baiting as it is to call someone a racist.
That type of accusation should be reserved for the real deal, in my opinion.

I noticed that during a televised forum on energy about a year ago, every Repub who spoke pushed nuclear energy as the answer. (I think it was last time Gore was in Congress, actually). Most Dems were saying there were better alternatives, that nuclear isn’t the answer. But Obama has gotten much money from Exelon, has stopped a law in Illinois that would hold them accountable for nuclear waste leaked into families’ water. So he’s their boy, big opportunities coming. I hate nuclear alternative - dangerous to our and children’s health, not clean energy, not good for environment. Good for Exelon pockets.
That and heath insurance companies, big pharma. He’ll help them all.
All someone has to do to expose MyDD is to find examples of unfounded alleged conspiracies from Obama supporters that did not get censored. I bet there are plenty of examples.

I’m not at all naive…I’m actually quite worldly, but I’m not certain what “tea bag tossing” is a euphemism for. (It does conjure up some weird visuals.) Can anyone delicately clarify this?
I think they’ve mixed their metaphors.
‘Tea bagging’ is when a man squats or kneels over another person and hangs his testicles in their face.
‘Tossing salad’ is to lick a person’s anus.
It’s probably safe to assume he meant some combination of the two behaviors.
(As an aside, you know an election has taken a frightening turn when you find yourself explaining phrases that like this more frequently. I had to explain tea bagging to my 55 yr old mother last week. Sigh.)

Yea, some bits of trivia that I coulda lived without, too. But growing up with 3 brothers, a girl is gonna hear plenty of things she’d rather not.

This is new because, as far as I know, nobody has mentioned heroin use before, just marijuana and cocaine.
Enquiring minds want to know. The VOTERS want to know. Well, the smart ones do.
the Enquirer has been eerily correct in most of their stories. they have a phat budget and a huge team of lawyers and fact checkers.
I’m not with Hillary’s campaign so I can say it all I want, Obama is not what he seems. He reminds me of a character from Midnight Cowboy that they cleaned up to run for president. Judging from his pals, he’s a sleazeball.
Don’t people have a right to know if Obama used heroin, given his track record of use, and abuse?
It’s not as if you’d be undermining a reformed addict, trying to and capable of making good, he’s corrupt, and his election would not be in the better interests of the American people.

If Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee for president, I will not vote for him.
I will turn him down.
Judging from callers to “Corbett” yesterday, so will many other Democrats.
Democrats must follow their hearts and their heads.

I’m certainly new to the blog stuff, and I was very confused by the terms being thrown around. It was shocking a few months ago how often I was accused of being a “rethug” or a “Neocon” or thinking with my Vagina or a part of the Granny Brigade.
The atmosphere was fascinating. I couldn’t imagine that these were Democrats. Finally, I got a handle on just how young so many of the posters had to be. They seemed to think I was a Hillary staff member. Actually, I thought the staff posts were pretty obvious. They were usually announcement-type deals.
The Huffington Post which launched Bitter-gate was apparently so blown away by being part of what took him down in PA that they started posting nothing but rumors and junk stuff about Hillary and ran off most of the Hillary posters.
Taylor Marsh is unabashedly a Hillary site, but the Huffington Post purports to be broader. It’s now living a lie, which simply won’t work for long. I know I haven’t bothered to even check it for several weeks now.
I couldn’t care less if bloggers are paid. Good for them. Great way to pick up money.
And ignoring them is the easiest way to get rid of them.
Most serve as agents of propaganda, disingenuous PR people, the public has a right to know whom they are dealing with, period.
This is not true.
And how much are you being paid to blog for Obama?
We’ve heard about the “new, kinder” bloggers — you seem to fit that to a “t”.
Always excusing and explaining the Obamas.

Or WmORM — what Mrs. Obama really means.
Any more I don’t trust anyone with the message of: “cant we just get along” — mr&mrs Obama are really nice — really just believe and hope for change.
Mr. and Mrs. Obama are a National Security risk.
No — I cannot and will not get along with anyone who is trying to excuse or explain Mr&Mrs Obama.
The country is “changing” into a communist Nation.

I blame MTV.
I used to read and comment at the blog “Group News something” until one day recently appropos of nothing an obama jerkoff called me “racist and woman hating”. I responded by giving my age, and suggesting to him/her/it that if he were say that to my face I would show him/her/it why he/she/it shouldn’t say such a thing (course I called him/her/it a prick, also). Jesse, the writer of the blog I was commenting on, xxxx’ed out the sentence and explained it as I had threatened violence against a fellow commenter, which of course I didn’t do. As punishment I would receive one strike against me toward banishment. I, in return, told Jesse amongst other things to go fuck himself, that I would never earn him a penny by my accessing his site. What clowns.
I used to go there too. And around the time that Jesse wrote a piece called Cult of Personality, based on his own experience at the Washington state Caucus, all the Obama supporters there turned viscious and ugly. Before, on the old blog before the the death of Steve, you could pretty much say anything, as Steve seemed to enjoy a good verbal fight and could take care of himself. The new group who started it in his memory have very thin skins. After they still insulted me even though I said I would support Obama if he was the nominee, I decided to stop going there. A few weeks on the HuffPo caused me to change my mind altogether about supporting Obama. That was way back around Super Tuesday. I believe Obama and his campaign encouraged this and who knows maybe even paid for it. It was a stupid strategy and it’s cost him my support.
It’s their job. If they don’t hack, they don’t get paid. They want you to buy into the emotionalism. They are just blogging what they are told to blog for whatever flavor of the day.
They are playing the sexist card now towards all genders, races, ages, classes. In their mind, sexism is emotionalism. (They don’t really know the depth of sexism and don’t care because they are paid hacks.) They’ve been on the blogs playing nicey nice asking what is sexism and they didn’t think they have done that.
Just roll with it. People have bit the bait.
Let Go.
We stil have Hillary to help to make her case.

This is why Hillary has been dumped because she has what it takes to fight for the working people of this country against Wall Street.

Back when I was still supporting Edwards and was trying to bridge the factions together as I saw how poorly Hillary and her supporters were being treated and I knew what it would mean in the general, my plea included “Can’t we all just get along?” to which I was banned for making racial statements.
Annin — I have read Michelle’s college thesis. She sounds like a racist to me. Would I have thought that a couple of years ago–probably not but that was pre-BO when people stated their ideas and beliefs without being labeled. Now however, every word is suspect–due to Mr. Obama. That said — I believe when you are running for President you have no business harboring any anti-American beliefs. This country is the greatest experiment known to man — the only country in the world where people no matter what color or religion work side by side for the same goal.
Well, a lot of people write their theses on topics they are passionate about. My grandmother wrote a very startling piece on women in the workplace back in the 1920s. Regular feminist in her youth, apparently.
That’s all I meant. That was the period, too, when a huge number of minority and women college students were obsessed over cultural studies.
Actually, there are other countries: one being Canada…a pretty fabulous place to live–a country that is extremely multicultural, relatively light on violence (far fewer guns…they’re hard to get). A place where freedom and equality can be had by all (including those of the same sex who wish to marry), universal health care, a parliamentary form of government (which means it’s easier to oust that unpopular PM), and all built on a capitalistic framework.
Misguided PC liberals may believe that Mrs. Obama couldn’t possibly be a racist — unfortunately this ignorance of racism and xenophobia is exactly why a unqualified individual has gotten a pass.
Ignore the color of Obama’s skin and his gender and merely look at his resume — compare his resume to the other candidates — and well if THIS had been done why back when he was running for the office of US Senator — we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

Why should anyone think they have the right to attack Hillary on a pro-Hillary site? It’s a private web site. Kos is much more public and a lot more well known. He considers himself a “journalist”. Most blog owners don’t. If he pretends to be a “journalist” then he has an obligation to be fair. Blog candidate support sites like Hillary44 are under no obligation to do that because they don’t pretend to be journalists. If Daily Kos is an Obama support site then he, as a “journalist” and TV pundit (and Newsweek columnist) has an obligation to his readers to present the site that way. Otherwise, he’s just a faux-journalism hack like Ann Coulter, which is how I categorize him anyway.
Wow, the misogynist and sexist posts I have read on Daily Kos equal no others except for the crap on Digg and DU. I long ago abandoned Kos and his sexist blind hordes. For him to pick out something that doesn’t agree with him and ban it is his prerogative, but then he’d have to ban about 95% of the other insulting BS on his site.
