Here’s the news short and sweet–if you have a copy of the Michelle Obama video, in which she is lambasting white people (four different sources say she uses “whitey” as an epithet) at Jeremiah Wright’s church, then there is an ultra conservative Republican billionaire who wants to pay your $1 million dollars for the tape. Why? He hates John McCain. Conservative Republicans refer to John McCain as a Marxist and a sell out (and those are the nice comments). The billionaire in question believes Barack is a very weak candidate and, if he gets the Democratic nod, then McCain will surely be President. Especially after the October “surprise” of Michelle Obama railing against whitey. The billionaire wants to preempt McCain and Rove and has put the word out thru conservative networks that there is a $1 million dollar bounty for the person or persons who produce the tape.
I got this info courtesy of a major Republican operative. I am told that Karl Rove and his political allies control the tape where Michelle Obama has a Stokely Carmichael moment of sorts. Rove and company reportedly are showing the tape to big money Republicans to loosen up their wallets and get new money to fund independent expenditure groups. That’s why news of this is starting to leak out. The money is being raised for 527 groups that will target the Democrats in the fall.
A retired CIA buddy is friends with a lawyer who saw the tape. This lawyer, who has a stellar reputation for being very low-key, described the video clip of Michelle’s anti-white rant as, “stunning.” My guess is that the billionaire who detests John McCain is probably going to find someone who will comes up with the tape. So there you have it, someone is looking for “Whitey.” If they find it they get a pay day. If not, you will have to wait till October to watch it.

Read the article again. Larry is stating they are shopping the video around now as an enticement in order to raise funds for the 527 groups who will use the money in October. And they will also use the video in October.
Simple. Billionaire republican (BR) thinks that if the race in November is McCain vs. Obama, then McCain will win. But, if the race is McCain vs., say, Clinton, then McCain will lose. More than a few people here agree.
And what is a million dollars anyway when that amount is spent daily on the election.

With a weak candidate; a divided party; and a sitting president with very low popular appeal, the Republicans may now w-a-n-t Hillary instead as a foe, especially since her demographics crosses right into the Republican demographics.

Knocking Obama out, and Hillary getting the nomination, could also help on some IOUs I was talking about, too.
Play it with future across the party lines deals; undercut a candidate that the GOP doesn’t really like; win appeal back from the GOP demographics they ignored for business interests — it’s possible.
It’s just depends on how much they want SCOTUS nominees, and not willing to take chances.
If said Republican billionaire hates McCain then he doesn’t care if HRC is President. Sounds like its personal and the best way to make sure that McCain does not win is to have a Dem nominee who can win, ipso facto — Hillary.

If this clip really exists and if it was found in any publicly available video, then more than likely there are Dems who have it as well. Obviously, a Democrat couldn’t use the video, but a Democrat could sell the video to a Republican who seems pretty willing to let it be known that he wants McCain to lose. Here’s to hoping.

I don’t think that $1 million is going to do it. After taxes, you couldn’t even buy a decent house for what’s left. It would have to be about $5 million to pry open the right hands, and even then, it might not work.
The conservative billionaire would be far smarter to hire an investigative unit to dig it up himself, and reward them with $5 million (plus deductible expenses) after they found it. If he really wants it, and he has a billion, this shouldn’t be a problem.

You also have to pay for Plan B, for doctors’ visits and labs — comes to around $99/month
The hospital etc. supplemental is another $150-250 per month (depending on each state’s contract with providers — e.g., AARP charges different rates in California than in other states)
THEN there is Part D for prescriptions, which requires a monthly premium + co-pays.
It averages about $350/month to have decent Medicare coverage. At the least.
Heck I’d take it! I pay WAY more than that for an HMO. I pay just shy of $900 a month and they will kill me if I get sick. I also have deductables and copays for visits and meds.
I TOTALLY agree that medicare is the way to go. It already would reduce my costs by a third. The larger the group, the greater the bargaining power.

We want our voices to be heard by the DNC, who we both feel has sat idly by while sexists actions and statements against Clinton have been made. We do not feel this primary has been handled appropriately or fairly and are thoroughly concerned about the lack of real leadership within the party. If Hillary is not the nominee we will both leave the democratic party immediately.

I don’t need a tape. Obama, Rev. Wright, Michelle have said nothing that I don’t hear here in my urban community on a regular basis. It’s the sad truth that’s been exposed during this Primary Season. I didn’t put it out there, Senator Biracial did. As if he has any idea what it really means to be African American. I read this post earlier and decided to speak to a family friend who is a large bundler for the Republican party in the midwest about this tape.
Her words are that it does exist and that it is pure gold.
There are supposedly only a few copies in the hands of the GOP that are tightly managed to not leak before the appropriate time, but she says that anyone who saw the tape, dem or repub would srsly have a great distrust for the Obamas if they already don’t.
She says she’s not sure if the Clinton people have it, but it is what is making the GOP so eager to run against OBAma

Lots of people have apparently seen this tape yet no-one can shed the slightest light on what the contents might be, save for the fact that it includes the word “whitey”, let alone context. AND if so many people had seen it, it would have leaked. GOP people particularly: they are out for themselves only and one of them would have leaked it.
