So this is supposed to balance out the number of times President Bush and Senator McCain 'misspoke'?

What's your point? Repeatedly confusing Sunni and Shia isn't nearly as important?

Rei,
So our troops on the ground will be talking to Al Queda? Wow that makes our job much easier,we could just ask them where they are. With the exception of intercepting information from them, maybe our operatives would need a little assistance from natives of the area, hence the need to have appropriate translators.

Here is my letter to Colmes:

Dear Mr. Colmes,

I am a supporter of Senator Clinton. I will vote for John McCain if Barack Obama is the Democrat's nominee.

I am a post-graduate educated woman, in my mid-forties. I voted for Jesse Jackson twice. In 26 years of voting, I have always voted Democrat.

Barack Obama is deceptive and divisive. He is intentionally vacuous. Senator Obama has demonstrated a pattern of using generalizations and stereotypes to characterize and demean groups of Americans, i.e., "typical white person", "bitter" working class, calling women "sweetie". He feigns innocence as his surrogates and supporters use the "blogosphere" to disseminate massive amounts of misinformation, including vile and malicious attacks and accusations of racism directed at Clinton and her supporters.

Obama has made a career of campaigning and getting elected by any means necessary. This includes his current strategy of disenfranchising the voters of Michigan and Florida in order to maintain his frontrunner position. He has never served in any significant capacity, instead using his elected offices to position himself for the next run. His health care "plan" falls far short of progressive ideals (i.e., universal health care). His position statements are simplistic.

Barack Obama and his campaign have mastered the language of "feeling good". He utilizes rhetoric to inspire strong, visceral emotional responses which, ultimately, dull and distort the capacity for critical thinking and judgement. His own capacity for judgement is grounded in political expedience, as he has a history of forming opportunistic alliances with questionable individuals (Wright, Ayers, Rezko).

Finally, as a life-long Democrat, I have come to the realization that the DNC no longer represents me and my interests. The DNC has stood by in silence as Clinton has been degraded and insulted by the media, by Obama and by his supporters. They have supported the suppression of votes in Michigan and Florida.

I disagree with many of John McCain's positions, yet view him as more of a "known quantity". Rather than projecting my personal ideals and aspirations for our nation onto the vacuum that is Obama, I will vote for McCain.

"Obama knows they speak Arabic in Afghanistan and that there are poppy fields in Iraq."

Lol. You know, if you're going to write an article about getting the facts right, perhaps you should get the facts right yourself. Our primary enemy in Afghanistan is al-Qaeda, who are arabs who've traveled to Afghanistan to train and fight the US. Guess what language they speak. And as for poppies?

And really, do we want to go into Clinton's and McCain's gaffes while we're at it? Because that'd be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Sent an email. I am a Democrat, I was a Reagan Democrat, if Obama wins the nomination I will be a McCain Republican. If I have to leave the party, I will come back when the leadership has changed and the party is more moderate and the lunatic fringe has receded back into the woodwork.

Obama's two very different thoughts on Iran. Mind you he said these things in a space of six hours. The only difference was the venue. Conversative Montana versus liberal Oregon.

Make Up Your Mind

I'm getting whiplash from all this. And both statements are on video. I can't wait to see the GOP ads.

Public last 4 digits of their IP, can identify them quick. Especially good in tracking them to large offices and college campuses. It's better than the first 6, as that's network octets, and so huge to track down.

Everyone has a chance with me these days, and it will all depend on the person’s proven record, history, etc.

Best way to vote. Most qualified; best values; most innovative, etc. etc..

But Independent voting requires research, and the ability to read past partisan talking points (each side wants his/her candidate to look good, even if they stink like high hell).

I get a kick of mixed ticket voting. Get literature from both parties, despite I'm not a member of any. ;)

Virtually every non-incumbant politician uses hope and change as slogans.

Bush in 2000:

"And we will extend the promise of prosperity to every forgotten corner of this country: to every man and woman, a chance to succeed; to every child, a chance to learn; and to every family, a chance to live with dignity and hope."

"But America's way is the rising road. This nation is daring and decent and ready for change."

I sent Colmes the following email:

I hear you've asked to know who will vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee. I will! I'm a 43 year old white liberal attorney living in the liberal land of Massachusetts, and I will proudly pull the lever for McCain if Obama is the nominee.

Why? I should think that would be quite obvious. Though I did drink a bit when I was young, I still have all my brain cells. I'd like a President who loves America. Loving God (instead of loving black supremacy) wouldn't hurt either. Loving Americans (instead of treating them with contempt) would be good, too. A President who has friends who don't like to blow up things is also a bonus, makes me feel safer.

I can best sum it up by saying Obama is a dangerous fringe lunatic who shouldn't even be allowed to tour the oval office, never mind reside there. All these Obama supporters make me think of the movie The Matrix, they think they're in nirvana but they're actually in a nightmare. When you point out to them that they're 'plugged in' they scream "Racist!". Well, they can wake up now, or they can wake up in November, because Obama will never, but never, be President.

I will not only vote for McCain, I will campaign for him and send him money. This is not a hissy fit that I won't follow through on, this is a commitment to my country, that I love, that I will not stand by and do nothing while some crazy is trying to get his finger on the button.

Bear in mind, people actually voted for Hitler. People actually stood by apathetically while Hitler stole the election. All it takes for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. So, I'm going to do, something!

And I hope you will, too. I know Republicans want to wait until October to crush Obama's campaign, but is it really worth the risk to wait until then? Wouldn't Republicans rather risk a Hillary presidency, than risk an Obama 'presidency' that would destroy everything we all hold dear?

Now is the time for all people who love America to speak out. We are beyond partisanship, all of us who love America must stand together.
