Obama Math [updated]
By Larry Johnson on May 21, 2008 at 10:14 AM in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton
Some in the Main Stream Media ain’t math challenged, they’re just using a different standard. It is OBAMA MATH. I kept hearing yesterday that Kentucky and Oregon were the same size states. Imagine my surprise to learn that there were only 441,489 Democratic voters in Oregon while Kentucky had 668,916 (UPDATE–Upon closer inspection, Washington Post is only reporting 52% of the precincts). With traditional math, a bitter white person clinging to guns and god would conclude that Kentucky was actually bigger than Oregon. But not if you use OBAMA MATH.
Here is how it works. Counting both Oregon and Kentucky Obama won 465,980 votes yesterday. Hillary, by contrast, won 459,145 in Kentucky alone. When you total all of the votes for Hillary, she won 58% of the votes while Obama snared 42% of the ballots.
And how did the Washington Post describe this? OBAMA TAKES DELEGATE MAJORITY: MARK REACH WITH BIG VICTORY IN OREGON. And Obama gave his “victory” speech touting his triumph. That’s winning? I hope the Washington Redskins can use a scoring system like this in the Fall. If so, Super Bowl here we come.
Just to be clear. Barack gets creamed in the larger, more populated state, but the one that “counts” as far as the Post is concerned is Oregon. If Barack produces those same numbers come November I suspect folks actually in touch with reality will call it an ass whipping.
Over at CBS News, they are stuck with that old math. (What a bunch of out of touch, bitter white people!) They note:
Just a glance at who voted for Clinton in Kentucky and in what numbers: 72 percent of white voters; 70 percent of those with no college degree; 67 percent of those with incomes of $50,000 or less; 67 percent-plus of those voters over age 50; 240,000 more total votes. In a 35-point win, those margins are going to be large. In fact, Clinton won the majority of votes in nearly every single category measured by the exit polls. But it’s that coalition of women, whites, lower-educated, lower-income and older voters that have clung to Clinton even as the pundits declare her campaign over.
If we would just figure out a way to get rid of those damn middle aged, non-college educated, cash strapped white bitches, then we would appreciate the utopia Obama is offering.
Oh yes. Just in from Florida. Apparently the same group of undereducated, underfunded menopausal gals didn’t get the message. According to the latest Rasmussen poll, Hillary wallops McCain (47-41) but McCain clobbers Obama (50-40).
Taking tongue out of cheek, it certainly appears that the Democratic establishment entrenched in Washington are telling the folks who rallied around Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry Truman that unless they vote for Barack their votes don’t count as much. Good to know.
LARRY MATH: Whoops. The numbers reported by the post represent only 52% of the vote in Oregon. So the media gets it right that both Oregon and Kentucky are about the same size. But the results remain the same. Hillary has substantially more votes than Barack. But why would Democrats care about “votes”? That’s crazy (isn’t it?)

“Meanwhile, the Rezko Jury Still Deliberates…And A New Bill to Curb Money in IL Politics is Already Under Attack”
http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com
…
With all this going on, it makes one wonder how Obama would be voting if he were still in the Illinois Legislature. Would he take a strong stance for the bill? Would he “bring people together” and push for the watered down version? And, in the end, regardless of whatever bill was adopted, would he IGNORE the intent and work deals to his advantage???
Just asking…
Hillary Rodham Clinton now has 1776 delegate endorsements.
This number is also one of the most significant dates in the history of our country - the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Despite corporate-owned news pumping out negative propaganda by the hour. Despite all of our democratic blogs being hijacked and converted into Clinton hate mills. Despite Soros buying out the NYT, and super delegates by the dozen,More Americans voted for Clinton than any democratic candidate in our nations history.
Hillary Rodham Clinton, the next president of the United States of America.
Unlike Al Gore, she refuses to back down.
As it should be.
And where is he, by the way, Still hasn’t toughened up that backbone to come out and support the better candidate.
Actually Kerry is the worst imho when it comes to backing down. At least Gore put up a fight as long as he did. Kerry took our donations for a legal fight, and caved the next day. Hillary and Gore have a lot more in common.
That’s the spirit! The Spirit of ‘76!
In case you did not notice I’m in agreement.
I get so tired of Obama and his media. I am a poor woman and unlike Michelle Obama and BO I didn’t get to go to Ivy League college. I had to go to work. It makes me so mad when they talk about still paying off their college loans its kind of hard for me to take pitty on them when there have been times in my life that I faced the ultilities being threatened with shut off or even hunger. I am sorry I work hard everyday and to hear these two talk they have such a terrible life.
Helen from Pittsburgh
You represent Hillary supporters everywhere.
I represent Hillary supporters everywhere too — I am a 40 something woman with a Ph.D. and a cushy job with a family income of over 250K and I don’t drink Latte but I do like Arugula and Wine.
(My apologies to Helen and wish her the very best — I had to say what I said to the troll)
I eat brownies.
I think I like your life better.
LOL….
Money is not everything neither is education as we are noting in this election. What is up with those Oregonians, ha?
You do know that the Pacific Northwest is the indoor pot capital of the world. Perhaps when I retire I’ll move out there and set up a shop selling glow lamps and hydroponics supplies.
You say that as if hard work and paying your way in America were some how not important any more. You say that is if working people should be ashamed of working with clearly no idea of how anything gets done in America.
You clearly think you are better than the people who grow your food, get it to market, sell it to you, bag it, take it to your car, pick up your trash, recyle your garbage, teach your children, preach in your house of worship, clean your office builings, handle your cash at the bank, open your wine in a restaurant, pour your coffee at the cafe, write your newspapers, deliver your mail ….
Your entitlement attitude is lock step with your candidate. This is why out of touch you and out of touch him are dismal failures with more than 72 percent of Americans. You feel like we OWE you something. The rest of us are proud to contribute to America. That is why he will lose. Remember that. John McCain sat in a cell in Viet Nam and was tortured. His book uses a sentence about how much he learned to appreciate America …. you never hear that from Barack H. Obama … until he has to put his flag pin on or mail a pandering religious flyer to voters in Kentucky. He’s not even proud enough of his entitlement attitude to stick with it. He’s a phoney. Like you. You’re welcome to him. The rest of us will happily kick his skinny ass in November. To the curb. With his equally self entitled miserable bitter wife.
Buh-bye now.
Thanks Beebop
That was funny..Buh bye. I hope you don’t mind but I have to borrow that one!
Hillary 2008
I pray you are correct!
Hmmmm…….PRESENT ?…..
He’ll vote ‘no’, but then say he hit the wrong button by mistake.
Did that SIX times. There is no excuse for one, let alone six.
I think you give Obama too much credit. He would push a button without looking, and then change his vote (after tallies) to be with the majority or whoever “he was told to” vote him.
“er..um..uh…I voted “nay” (or yae) by mistake..uh”
or he would just vote “present.”
YOU’RE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION BUT NOT YOUR MATH
Close your eyes and imagine if Florida and Michigan had voted on the DNC cue. Those decisive defeats for Barry would be the difference now.

BAD FINGER DEMOCRATS
I found this over at Correntewire:
Teh Rulez. Mario Cuomo [PDF] explained on Face the Nation:
SCHIEFFER: …it would be wise to announce that? Let’s say that Senator Obama’s going to get
the nomination. It seems highly unlikely that he won’t at this point. Do you think he ought to
announce that now?
Gov. CUOMO: No.
SCHIEFFER: So that will be something people can talk about before the convention?
Gov. CUOMO: No, no.
SCHIEFFER: Or wait until then?
Gov. CUOMO: It’s premature now. It would be unfair to Hillary Clinton and unfair to the process. Look, the whole process has been butchered, let’s be honest. [Thanks Donna!] And you have to save this argument for another day. But the Democratic process has been very, very flawed. In its design, it’s supposed to go through to the end to a convention, and at the convention is the only place where the votes count. Most people don’t understand that all the counts that have already been— all the contests that have already been held did not produce votes. They produced pledges, which probably would be lived up to at the convention.
Will Obama get national security clearance?
http://www.usasurvival.org/ck05.10.08.html
Then there are his associations with William Ayers and other unsavory characters.
Not to mention Rev. Wright and Louis Farrakhan.
And Yassar Arafat.
And Carlos the Jackal.
And fugitives from Bader-Meinhoff.
The list just keeps growing.
And Auchi. And Rezko. And Hammas endorsement–
man that should send off red flags shooting into the outer planets. If they do a background search start at Hammas and backtrack. And start at Auchi and go forward– and see if those two don’t connect.
Hey, Republicans, do you really care about America?
Why don’t you do something to rid us of this menace right now?
Your messing about with important information doesn’t make you look good. People aren’t going to like it if it looks like you withheld important information for political gain. People are getting rather sick of that trick.
Pony up, Repubs.
Glad to hear you guys on here know about this MEETING to be held tomorrow Thurs. May 22- See Below;INVESTIGATORS TO RELEASE REPORTS ON OBAMA’S COMMUNIST CONNECTIONS!!!

I wonder if the unibomber is apartment shopping yet.
OPERATION CHAOS
Operation chaos? - another dumb nutter here people. Kentucky was a closed democratic only primary - there was no operation chaos going on there in her 35 point win.
Get a grip and improve your life.

I am so sick to death of this crap. I turned on CNN, Potus 08, Air America, and Washington Journal in rapid succession this morning, and all I get is endless snark at Hillary and an unquestioning acceptance of the idea that Obama has it wrapped up.
Scott Walterman on Potus was especially egregious, interrupting a snarky anti-Hillary guest bitching about Hillary’s popular vote argument to say “It doesnt matter anyway, we dont elect Presidents by popular vote..”
It doesn’t matter anyway? Well, here are two clues for you, Mr. Walterman. First, we aren’t picking a President, we are picking a NOMINEE. Don’t tell me that popular vote isnt supposed to count when we all heard the Popular Vote being put on a pedestal by the Obamabots back in February. Second, know how else we dont elect Presidents? WITH CAUCUSES!!! Funny how this fact seems to have slipped your alleged mind..
When will these idiots figure it out? The public doesnt want the race to be over. Last night, Hillary gained another 140,000 votes in the popular vote, further cementing her LEAD (because yes, people VOTED in Michigan and Florida. Don’t want to count those votes? Doesnt change the fact that they VOTED.)
Oh and PS- if I hear “Its not fair to count Michigan because Obama wasnt on the ballot” one more time, I’m going to have to hurt someone. NOBODY PREVENTED OBAMA FROM PUTTING HIS NAME ON THE BALLOT IN MICHIGAN. And in Florida, Everyone played by the same rules. There is NO reason not to include those delegates.
Obama is not even close to a majority of pledged delegates. To say he is is not being a journalist, its being a propagandist.
yup….and they are spreading misinformation. It’s irresponsible.
But it doesn’t matter. The SDs know what’s what. And it’s clear that Hillary will hold the line on FL and MI.
She wins in head-to-head in Fl. by 6 points today. Obama loses by 3 points to McCain.
He either coughs up a great deal here, or he’s toast there.
and a poll shows her winning the GE in NC
As long as you watch or listen to these programs you will always be annoyed. They are pro obmabi propaganda stations. Stop watching and listening to them. It’s the only way to hurt them, drop the ratings.
Since when has the MSM had such a good record with the truth anyways?
It’s been a really, REALLY long time.
Oh, go ahead and hurt someone anyway. You know you want to.
How was FOX? They were fantastic to Hillary last night.
I’ll watch them again later, and see how it goes.
LOL, I know, I know - I’m watching fox too - you have to if you support Hillary - they are the only news media giving her a fair shake. I used to love msnbc but not anymore, and Brian Williams, what a complete sexist pig.
Fox has always been the only news outlet that tells the TRUTH. Where have youb een.
His name was originally on the ballot in Michigan. He asked to have it removed as a way of scoring points in Iowa caucus goers.
yep. always working the system, rather than doing anything that is ethical. Obama is
for Obama. He is not for anything else.
The most ridiculous thing about his argument “we don’t pick presidents on popular vote” is that we pick them on the ELECTORAL COLLEGE, which Obama doesn’t have a chance in hell of capturing. Hillary trounces him in the electoral college match-up, as does McCain. Hillary can beat them both.
If I were that guy, I wouldn’t remind people that we don’t use the popular vote to pick the prez. It’ll just spark them to look at how Obama would stack up in November — and it ain’t pretty!
plus if i might add..i can not find where Texas certified it’s election or at least the caucus part of the election..does anyone have an answer to why Texas has not counted more than 41% of its caucus’s?? and how could they possibly designate delegates when only 41% of the caucus’s was counted…anyone know the answer????? i have been trying to get an answer to this for almost 2 months now..the last count was i believe March 10th..and only 41 % of caucus’s were reported to count..
look at CNN and MSNBC election boards..you will see it for Texas..
also the Texas election board has almost noghing on it..why????????????
i have only gotten one answer and it was that it is done at the state convention mid June..but that is b.s. the state certifies..not the party..
was the Texas caucus certified???? anyone????????
fly
fly
As someone who is from Texas I’ll tell you why. The primary was a state run election. It has been certified. The caucus was run by the democratic party. The state had nothing to do with it. The whole caucus mess was a complete sham. It was horrendous. In my precinct we didn’t even have a captain. All we had was Obama supporters in charge. We didn’t have enough sign in sheets and the whole thing was one giant, stupid clusterfuck. Now, in most parts of Texas Hillary won the primary in a landslide. How did he win the caucuses? Because the fucking democratic party rationed the sign in sheets AND they were the ones who counted the votes.
Yes, I call it Obamamath. CBS article suggests that his premature victory speech yesterday will signal to the SDs that they would be going against the will of the people?
*cough*….
That’s rich. She will have the popular vote. He will have the delegates. It comes down to the SD’s “judgment.” Right now that appears to be race-driven more than electability.
But the SDs will get to own this, one way or another.
Obama said in his speech he saw no great divide, even as the exit polls were rolling in showing a devastating percentage of Hillary supporters saying they would not vote for him if he’s the nominee. What’s worse? His supporters are not nearly so opposed to her being the candidate in exit poll after exit poll.
Now he’s managed to engender the “woman problem.”
Bad enough he had those bubbas he had to write off. Now, women taking out ads in the NYT? That’s a bit more than just a handful of angry bloggers. That’s a bit hard to ignore.
I just checked the head-to-head polls. Guess who would win Nevada in the Fall. MCCAIN BY 8 POINTS.
Obama’s claim to winning Nevada always annoyed me to no end. He was so incredibly petty about that one, and then still runs around with his “won more states” nonsense, including Nevada in that group along with the Americans Abroad, for God’s sakes.
Does he actually think people are this stupid?
I appreciate Hillary so much. She doesn’t condescend.
I just don’t know where these so-called journalist learned there ‘double speak’ so well.
Reality and MSM reality are total opposites. I suppose they will keep repeating it over and over until we finally get it.
Funny thing is is that the American people have finally got it. WE understand now. The Tim Russerts and Brian Williams’ have always driven the narrative - the 2000 and 2004 election results -but not this time. Your little plan is falling apart so transparently that Obama’s sheep clothing has worn off.
We know what’s at stake here. Nothing less than an American way of life; liberty, justice and freedom.
The MSM main players should be put on notice, there will be investigations into their complicit betrayal of the Constitution and the American people.
With Hillary’s courage and tenancity, its either Madame President, or President McCain. Hillary’s Party will see to that.
BTW, Hillary asks we contact the DNC and demand justice for Florida and Michigan. This is the battle at hand: forcing the DNC to do what justice demands. With enough outrage from us they will be forced to do the right thing.
I have signed this petition and had my kids sign it I am trying to get as many people as possible to sign the petition.
Helen from Pittsburgh
Helen you can also call the DNC and tell them you are withholding donations until they do the just and righteous thing and fully seat FL and MI according to the results of the legal election that took place. They will tell you some bullshit about rules being broken and you tell them the voters did not break any rules and you won’t listen to any of that.
202-863-8000
I hope she is legally prepared, and has a strong counter strategy to hit the ground running.
It’s my best guess they’re looking at the disqualification of FL and MI as a knock out punch, no matter WHAT the protests.
If they were intent on doing the right thing, they would have, they didn’t, it’s just a game, to them, but I wouldn’t let up.
What they think they know, and what they know are two different things.
I’m optimistic. The DNC knows throwing the election to an emasculated Obama is political suicide. The fix is far from in.
I’m sorry, but I’m not that optimistic. He’s countered all of the members who will withhold funds from the DNC by making his donor lists available for a fund raiser for the DNC and we all know where that money is comming from. They are calling it a fund-raiser, I call it bribery and corruption, and Dean, Pelosi, Brazille and the rest of that group of scum have put America up for sale.
It’s about time that Americans start focusing on them and make a concerted effort to get rid of them from the Dem. party
Sadly, you’re right deelee. COnsidering the nearly million dollars Obama’s PAC has donated to Superdelegates, and the news that Sen. Byrd got 88k from moveon, etc. It’s all about the $$$$$
It’s always about the money.
alot of people don’t realize that the superdelegates are being “bought”
this system must be stopped ..by all of us..and people need to know that the supers are being bought..and it is in the millions and millions..and millions..not just one million…
I just got a report that the Young Democrats who have a super vote in y state were offered 1 million in just one county in my state by one of the candidates ..and they turned it down..of course the donator was a very rich man..and he denies it..but this is going on folks..votes are being bought..
and who has the most money???????????
all americans and all dems should know what is really going on!!
fly
And just concede FL to McCain?
You could be right. We’ll see.
understand this as well..republicans can not win by the math without Florida..can’t happen..and it seems Dean and Brazile are so busy covering their own asses that they are going to let McCain just take Florida..
this i will assure you..the Cubans will not vote for Obama..not going to happen and neither will our seniors.i don’t care what the dnc or John King tell you..it is all bullshit..
Obama is in my area today ..in Tampa ..they bussed a bunch of the audience in from all over the state..and they have had the local news running stories for 2 weeks almost now about him coming here..and they have been giving out the phone numbers to get the free tickets for two weeks now..and they still had to bus in a bunch of the audience..so when you see 22,000 there..i say bullshit..i don’t know any dems who went today..and i was an elected dem delegate here..its crap..it is manufactured crap..
Obama can not win here and he won’t..that i assure you!
and I am in the anchor county of the I-4 corridor..that John King on CNN keeps talking about..
Obama will not win here folks..won’t happen..this county voted overwhelmingly for Hillary. Obama only got the AA vote.

What we are missing is that we are only counting 50 states and Guam. The new Obama math also counts the new 7 states (”57 states”) where only he ran. Of course we first have to find where exactly those states are.
Gaza? Kenya? Land’O Kos? Never-Never Land? Starbucks? Bizzaro World? And don’t forget… Illinois counts TWICE this year.
Brilliant!!
I think he confuses states with relish, ketchup and condiment varieties.
“What did you say? Yellow mustard is not a state?”
That would go over well at a national security meeting.
If it were not so dangerous, this guy could provide more comic relief than GW Bush ever did. How did these people get through college?
If he would release his records, we’d know … at least Bush admitted to being a “C” student … Barry has to continue to appear to be superior so that his elitist audience doesn’t desert him … we’ve read Michelle’s “thesis” so we know she’s not too smart.
Colleges and universities have denigrated into either cash-strapped entities or profit centres.
So, they’re job is to churn people out like an assembly line or “educted” dumbases like Bush and Obama.
Maybe he meant he’d “relish” a debate with our enemies …. yeah, that’s probably it …
There are 57 Islamic States; must be what he is counting.
it was a fraudian slip..Islam has 57 states..
Obama said he’s going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states. There are 57 Islamic states.
I don’t know…..the fucker was counting backwards in his head. He is just really, really, really dumb.
Axelrove said on Fox last night that Democratic voters will come around for Obambi. He cited the tear in the republican party in 2000 between Mccain and Bush supporters. He said the Republicans came around to nominate Bush, so will the Dems. I hope people do not back down and support this terrorist loving freak. This man and his dubious partners should be nowhere near the whitehouse. John Mccain is a much better american and choice.
He’s drinking his own Koolaide.
He needs to pull his head out of his ass and read what is out here. Of course, the last thing he can do is be honest … that would really show what the hell is going on. Circle jerk for all, eh?
well I dont care what Axlerove says I will never vote for Obama and I will not even vote Democrat period if they continue to back BO. I am planning to vote for McCain and for the Obama supporters who terriorized me in the Spring will have a new sign It will say I am not drinking the Obama KoolAid and if you knock on my door or touch my sign I will hit you in the head with a baseball bat. They were so obnoxious they pissed off the black Obama supporters in my neighboorhood because they unlike their middle class peers like and respect Senator Clinton and actually they didnt like the campaign taking down the signs and they would even put them back up. It seems the rich black people could learn a few lessons from the poor black people.
Helen from PA
John upthread is threatening to “hurt someone”, you’re threatening to hit people in the head with a baseball bat…
You all sound - dare I say it - kind of bitter.
It’s a race war. Nothing more and nothing less.
As soon as you wake up to that fact you’ll be voting for McCain too.
PS: you might need a little more than a baseball bat.
Joe lives out there in Marin County where all of the AA’s are doctors and lawyers … his friends of color are not going to riot … he’s not interested in America.
I have a pinata with your name on it, Joe.
Fat chance in hell that will ever occur.
i called the DC dnc today and told them Hell would have to freeze over and the devil would have to pass out ice cubes..for me to vote Obama..i said no way no how..and i told the gal that i was a 2004 elected dem delegate for my state..and i have never voted anything but democrat in 38 years..but i would vote McCain over Obama! hands down.

There is one thing that is absolutely certain about the Democratci primaries: unless one of the two candidates drops out or is indicted, the nomination WILL be decided by the SDs at the convention. No amount of victory celebration by Obama can change that.
Yep. Nail on head.
Would you like me to ruin the suspense for you?
You haven’t yet.
It helps to know, first.
Still think you’re in control?
How…sweet.
Oh, yes! In control.
And it’s very sweet.
as it stands obama only needs 63 delegates to clinch the nomination. when mi and fl are seated, he would only need 50 superdelegates to endorse him. you have to be realistic. barring a miracle, obama will win
You using Obamamath? 2026? or the number after he’s forced to deal with FL and MI?
2210.
It’s crazy to have to play this chess game with the numbers, but that’s actually his own doing. He’s the one who has ignored all other methods of looking at electability. He gave that argument to her. Big mistake.
Now, it’s clear to the entire country that he’s the weaker candidate.
That’s all they are talking about on my TV and radio stations in CA. It’s as though “we all know this is true.”
That’s devastating for his campaign.
When you get down to it, it doesn’t matter which one of the two clown is more electable. John McCain is going to win. And you’re going to help if you know what’s good for you.
I believe in miracles!!!!!!!
And will lose the general election in a landslide. So much for it being a democratic year.
His only strategy has been to win the nomination not the ultimate prize. Hillary’s early mistake was focusing too much on the general election and the snakes in the grass in the undemocratic party stabbed her in the back and verbally raped her husband.
Did you know that Hitler was stabbed in the back by his generals?
That was his take, anyway.
Sorry, Joe… Hillary supporters aren’t as knowledgable as you about Hitler. Why is that?

Really really stupid.

Keep clicking those Obama supplied ruby slippers and all your dreams will come true. Or maybe try praying to Willy Wonka. He can imagine you a Wonkabar and Obama as the nominee.
Sad for you, in this reality 2210 is it.
The process really has been butchered.
The DNC keeps telling us, and the MSM keeps telling us, and Barack Obama keeps telling us that the notion of that everyone gets one vote is archaic and irrelevant.
I just hope that in the General Election–IF OBAMA IS THE NOMINEE–that the DNC finds a way to make some votes (as it so obviously did in this Primary) count for more than others.
Obama need only implement some of his Chicago style politics. Granted, Rezko will probably be in jail, but there’s always Daley.
Of course, it would be hilarious if our Dem nominee were in jail at the time of the Convention in August right along with his good pal and fundraiser Tony Rezko.
Is that why Obama wants to hurry along this election?? He’s trying to “win” before he’s arrested?
I’m sticking with Hillary all the way to the convention.
I take seriously the notion that all votes should be counted equally, even those that are not cast in Obama’s favor.
Its not just one person, one vote. The way Dean and Brazille conjured it, African American voting in their area got more delegates per vote.
The whole thing needs to be overhauled, from the traitors in the DNC, to outright banning of caucuses. Yes, especially you IOWA! Tradition be damned.
If you reside in a state that came out and voted for Hillary, email the state DNC. It is obvious that the national party is ignoring everyone.
Let them know in Massachusetts that your state voted for HRC and you are PISSED that Kennedy and Kerry are deying the will of the people. Same for New Mexico. West Virginia? Let them have it about Byrd. The 50 parties need to hear LOUD AND CLEAR. They are the ones who don’t have staffing to avoid calls, email, etc. Don’t waste your time on Howard … he’s not paying attention. Go to the States. They understand it. They come to you more than the National party … think about it!
I didnt think of that I will be right on that now I live in PA and we gave her a 10 point victory even though the MSM said it was 9 that was more Obama math in play. I don’t know but I, of course I am a Clinton supporter so of course I am not as intelligent as the Obama’s, I learned in school that 55-45=10. Yet Obama and his Media say 9.
Helen from Pittsburgh
You’re forgetting Deval Patrick. They’re known as the THREE STOOGES in the Bay State for disrespecting the very constituency that put their asses in office. There’s very real anger in that state.
Everyone feels sorry for Ted with his brain cancer. Some wonder, though, if his condition didn’t cause him him do a really dumb thing and back the wrong damned horse. He certainly didn’t “read” his voting base very well at all; neither did Kerry. But then, Kerry is starting to get this Lieberman-like sense of entitlement with regard to “his” seat that is rubbing some the wrong way. He seems to be forgetting that he works for the people. If he ever had a real challenger who could connect with the constituency, he just maybe could be …er….fucked.
About the only person whose vote is somewhat “understandable” (though disloyal) is Patrick’s. Yeah, he worked for President Clinton, sure, he ignored the mood of the public… but he was friends with Obama.
But more telling, really, is how Patrick and Obama are related in terms of their CAMPAIGNS. Patrick was the guinea pig for Axlerod’s “Fool Some of The People All of the Time” strategy. After all, the YES WE CAN bullshit was PRODUCT TESTED in Massachusetts. Turns out, it sold quite well, but the Buyer’s Remorse is ENORMOUS. All that “idea” shit has not produced ANY results. Patrick is “less than successful.” He doesn’t understand how the MA governor has to WORK WITH–not FIGHT WITH–the legislature to get things done. He’s rather ROMNEYESQUE in his pisspoor performance in the Corner Office. To put it nicely.
To put it bluntly, the guy kind of sucks. No, not kind of–he really SUCKS. All that HOPE that was rolled out initially with SUCH enthusiam for Deval Patrick has been seen to be, in the rear view mirror, to be more like HYPE. He’s a PROFOUND disappointment. And we really did have high hopes. Everyone WANTED him to succeed. Everyone made allowances. Everyone tut-tutted, pooh-poohed, and scolded people who were “too critical” of the guy at the start of his term. But how many times can a guy fuck up before, well, you start to NOTICE?
The thing that kills me about Deval Patrick and Axelrove, is that Axelrove is using the EXACT same phrases in Obama’s campaign. He has OBama using identical NLP phrases, and even has them all over his website as QUOTES from Obama. And people are lapping that shit up! Oh.. Obama says this.. and he says that.. and it’s all written by a middle-aged white guy.
“We are the ones we’ve been waiting for” is something that Obama’s fans have been clinging to, yet it’s from Toni Morrison. All of things you hear his fans repeating over and over as to why they support him, have all been written by someone else. Even my State’s Dem Party Chair endorsed Obama the other day because “I read his books and listened to his speeches”, not a word about his experience or accomplishments. But other people’s words. He’s Reagan and Bush all over again… an empty suit filled with other people’s words.
call the DNC toll free!! now!!!!!!
HERE’S THE TOLL-FREE NUMBER TO THE DNC!
1-877-336-7200
Tell them now how you will vote in Nov!!
dnc will penalize fl and mi by cutting their delegates in half. it doesn’t matter if she picks these states up, the math is not looking good for her.
Then they need to do the same to SC and the two other states who jumped ahead. They cannot arbitrarily decide who to penalize. Not without a fucking good explanation as to why ….
Excellent point.
thank you beebop..that is a point that everyone misses..SC did the same thing Fla and Mi did ….also with a repub controlled legislature..
the difference was ..SC still votes with Diebild..and when Fla got a bill in front of our Repub legislature it was to ban DRE voting machines statewide and mandate voter verified paper ballots and the republican controlled legislature added an amendment of the primary date change..there wasn’t a dem in the state that dared to turn down the most important pice of legislature in our state since our votes were stolen in 2000, 2002 , 2004 and 2006…by the DRE voting machines that had no possibility of an audit…or recount..and this is how Dean and Brazile paid back the citizens of Fla..for getting this legislature passed ..not for 2012 like other states did but by doning so for the 2008 election..one of the only states in the nation to do so..with no help might i say from the democratic congress or the DNC!
but did Dean and Brazile punish SC , NH or Iowa for changing their dates..fuck no!
so strip them all or count them all..that should be the only choice..strip them all or count them all!
fly
I am thinking that’s the solution, too, that they will go with, but the sticking point now must be MI. I was thinking that was really what Edwards endorsement was about. It makes it easier to resolve MI.
Then his number will be 2210, not the easier goal.
He’s got a ways to go yet.
That’s why millions of us will not vote for Obama under any circumstance.
If they are going to stick to the RULES and cut the delegates in half, they must also take all of Obama’s Florida delegates away from him, because he signed a pledge not to campaign in FLorida, then went ahead and did so.
Also, I think running ads telling voters to vote uncommitted in Michigan as a sign of support for him could also be construed as campaigning in that state. Uncommitted should stay that way and vote their conscience at the convention.
I find it hard to believe that they won’t reach a compromise. There are planned rallies all over FL and in Washington. Hillary is headed there to shore up the troops. Obama goes and has to block out Democrats from his event because of the protest factor.
More important, this issue has been discussed ad nauseum, so everyone knows what’s what now. Everyone knows full well that it was Obama who blocked revotes, blocked compromises, and Hillary has championed their cause to be seated. Everyone even knows that Donna is in the tank for Obama and imposed overly harsh sanctions on the states to steer the election to Obama.
And people are mad as hell about this.
They will either resolve it or have a mutiny on their hands. People will hand the Democrats are resounding loss in the Fall to make it clear that we’re Democrats, and we’re not going to put up with rigged elections, no matter if the cause is for an AA candidate. That insults women, who ALSO were looking to make an historical moment.
This crap won’t fly.
They’ll lose every single moderate in the party, and they maybe can win without the bubbas, but they sure as heck can’t win without the moderates.
If the worst happens, we need to form some kind of temporary party.
We need to get the roster of email addresses of democrats, to let people know what is REALLY GOING ON.
Most democrats are really cut off.
Cable news is their information source.
yes I agree noone told his dumb ass to take his name off the ballot.

Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.
Obama, who was tied with McCain in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup last month, moved to a 48 percent to 40
So much for Obama can’t win
Wonder what the numbers will be once we see an endless loop of Barack standing, smiling and clapping in his church to …I-can-only-imagine what!
…oh yeah,
once we hear Obama saying “people in these small towns” throughout the midwest cling to guns, religion, and have “antipathy” to those who don’t look like them. Wow, he should plummet in most places.
Hillary should be the nominee. Strongest candidate we can nominate. Period.
Obama followers, you best look at individual states (electoral vote) and how your guy can pick up more.
Don’t you find it funny that the same Barack Obama who said that his church shouldn’t be an issue sent flyers out in Kentucky with a HUGE cross behin in?
Don’t you think that the same media that went BONKERS over the Huckabee cross would have made some comment? Do they think that people don’t recognize them for the WHORES and PIMPS they have become? How much does it cost to get some good coverage on CNN?
yeah Huckabee had bookshelves that formed a cross behind him, Uhhbama has a giant (glowing?!) cross and pipe organ behind him.
but again if it’s Uhhbama it’s okay
get a grip ultra lib elites!
Oh.. you mean Zogby whose brother works for Obama?? that guy? Zogby who uses a failed methodology? that one? Zogby who continually gets EVERYTHING wrong? That guy?
Yeah.. whatever.
I never trusted Zogby’s numbers after his screwup on Kerry’s chances in 2004.
Check out this county map of Oregon (scroll down)
There is one county (Grant) that has ZERO precincts counted and another one (Lake) with only 50 percent counted!
Am I wrong in assuming she still could get closer in totals in Oregon? And what’s up with those two counties???
AnninCA, I also live in California.
Obviously, it usually rings up Dem in the GE.
But California would totally be in play for the Repubs if Obama were the nominee.
In fact, isn’t McCain’s plan to try to woo California voters?
One just need glance at Hillary’s support in the Latino community, which comprises what … 30% of the Dem voters here?
They overwhelmingly supported Hillary in the Primary, across EVERY age group, and continue to support her now.
When I visit my Aunt, who lives in Norwalk, there are Hillary signs on almost every other lawn.
Here’s a great article regarding Obama’s chances of winning California:
http://www.knbc.com/politics/16328454/detail.html?rss=la&psp=news
I think the fact that Arnold is governator probably helps. McCain is likely to get a huge endorsement from him. There is a lot of “quiet” California money and voting. By November, conservative and just left of center voters will be so shocked by the 527’s that California could EASILY vote for McCain. Admiring RR isn’t the same as BEING RR …. Nancy will have a word or two to say, I am sure ….
And the fact that having a movie star republican as Gov, has softened many Dems to the idea of a republican in office. I guess the Obamabots have not heard the term “Reagan Democrats” before… the biggest problem the DNC has right now is that they’re up against a candidate that seems moderate and independent. It’d be one thing if they were running against a Huckabee or another Bush, but public perception make McCain an easier pill to swallow for many Dem voters.
especially since Kerry wanted McCain to be his VP..that will be a big talking point for the GOP..once again..kerry fucks us!!
fly
Interesting. My sense of CA is that he’ll have to really work it to win here.
If McCain gets Arnie cooking, Obama will be greatly challenged.
Arnie now knows our real issues, where the skeletons are and what we absolutely are getting killed on in terms of the Feds. He’ll be negotiating hard on our behalf.
Once the dust settles, then he’ll signal one way or another to voters.
I agree with you about the Latino voters. The LA mayor may publicly say he’s for Obama, but if he doesn’t really kick in his machine to help him? Then Obama will not fare well here. That’s what works, not his silly endorsement routine.
And obviously, not his rally routine.
I believe he’s truly angered the gay community now, so bye-bye to that group’s active support. And they just got the big ruling, so McCain can now say, States Rights, and slide out of that topic.
So yes, there are some possibilities for McCain here. Hard to imagine, but it’s very possible.
From the article linked above, here is the money quotation:
“In a way, we’re moving to the next phase,” said Stampolis, of Saratoga. “After June 3, I think all of us have a responsibility to take a step back and look at who can win the Electoral College and win the White House in November. From what I see now, (Clinton) seems to have a stronger path to the Electoral College today.”
It’s the map not the math, and losing California would be a huge blow to the Democratic Party in the GE.
Yep…Kinda like Texas….and that was how many years ago ?
I live in CA and Obama will loose this state.
The issues are many as to why…but once the stylus drops on the BO “terrorist association” vinyl and it sounds like broken record…
He will not win.
I’m from a small town in the Midwest.
I’m white.
I’m a woman.
I don’t make a lot of money.
I’ve tried to convince my sister I am blue collar!
I’m beginning to resent my college degree.
I stand with ALL my brothers and sisters! We are good democrats for Hillary.
Dont regret your college degree. I am glad you support Hillary and you are welcome.

Have all of you noticed the internet headlines today?? - not one word about Hillary’s massive win -
the sexism continues.
Here are the headlines:
Obama takes big step as Clinton debt grows - 17 minutes
Clinton nearly $30 million in debt at end of April - 43 minutes ago
Obama leads McCain in November match: Reuters poll - 4 hours ago
The mainstream media continues in telling the doofheads how to vote, I WISH THERE WAS SOMETHING WE COULD DO ABOUT THIS!~
I am sick and tired of the “supposed math”. Let’s call it what is really is–affirmative action math. First you cut out 2 state’s votes, then you allow certain state’s votes to count for more than they should, i.e., Alaska, and Iowa. Then you give someone more delegates if they win an AA urban area. Honestly, could the Democratic Party skewed and screwed this thing up any worse? All of this to enable one candidate to look better than he really is when it comes to the general election. Had the Democrats not been so stupid, in the way they run their nominating process, Hillary would have won this months ago. She is the only Democrat who can win in November, and we need to start pointing out this bullshit affirmative action math.
Don’t let them hear you talk logic … next thing you know, you’re a racist ….
i AGREE 100 percent! He is a phony Affirmative Action nominee that will lose!
I would bet the house that not only will Obama not win by double digits in Califoria, but that he will lose.
So California is spun for Obama, but word on the ground here is the precise opposite.
The CA Supreme Court ruling lifting the ban on gay marriage, a decision which I celebrate, will just mobilize more McCain troops if the lefty Obama is the nom.
Add to that the women–and I meet more and more every day in the corporate realm–who feel that Hillary has been the target of sexism, and you have women in play.
Women always turn out in droves to vote in the GE.
It’s not whether or not McCain will win California, it’s by how much.
You mean Zogby Obama Superdelegate, Zogby is a joke his bias have been dearly noted and his polls incredibly slanted in Obamas favor.
Hey trolls, bite me.
Your candidate looks like shit and is having a meltdown as we speak.
Since you failed miserably to stop Hillary and her bloggers I hope you enjoy waiting until August, that is unless Obama implodes first which seems likely.
And that “victory” speech last night in Iowa was irrational. And your master is sinking into a profound depression as we continue to pound away with no mercy at his spirit. You assholes have pissed off millions of decent hard working people with your false claims of racism and all the while you are the real racists, sexists and ageists.
You and Barry have made your own bed and enjoy sleeping in it. America rejects you and your evil ways.
You don’t sound like you would taste very good.
And if Hillary will enjoy the humiliation of actually seeing the hands on the convention floor raised to deliver the death blow to her delusions, you go girl.
I am an Africian Americian who is Urban in other words I live in the ghetto. I am a Clinton supporter who is angry at other Africian Americians but not those Urban Africian Americian. Unlike their middle class counterparts they support Clinton as well as Obama and they dont care who their neighboors voted for they never touched my sign. I have to love those folks from my neighboorhood who got angry at the Obama campaign for taking down the Hillary signs they helped put them back up and then they decided to teach the Obama campaign a lesson and they shot up all the Obama signs in the neighboorhood and wrote a note telling the campaign not to blame the Hillary supporters but them because it is wrong for the campaign to take the signs down. They complained about the campaign causing racial problems then leaving them to deal with it on their own. They also did not tell me I needed to vote for Obama because of race pride. They accepted that and continue to respect me. Too bad that Obama doesnt have more of this type of supportor.
Helen from Pittsburgh
Helen, you’re awesome! And so are your neighbors. Every time someone comes on No Quarter and accuses me of being a racist because I don’t choose Obama, I’m going to remember your post.
I’ve never been called a racist before in my life — it just didn’t seem possible, but now the media and the Obama supporters accuse us of it all the time. I so grateful you’re speaking up. And I love the sign story.. priceless.
Helen Tip o’ the hat and deep respect for you and yours.
Bravo! President Hillary Clinton. Bravo!
Actually, McCain supports the right of a state to make the decision.
I agree with him, and I consider myself a liberal Democrat.
The Latino community–predominantly Catholic–is generally antagonistic to same-sex rights.
You can figure that the decision will mobilize it further away from Obama.
His margin of victory in Oregon is not even half that of Clinton in Kentucky. And did anyone witness the conversation on race over which Anderson Cooper presidened yesterday on CNN? I must say I find it all very vexing.
Don’t pretend the electoral college don’t matter!
Yeah, and they talk about Hillary “stealing it”!!? If the DNC steals it from her and hands it to him, I’ll consider it my own personal property, my rights, being stolen and I’ll be out for blood like a vigilante! I saw a sign on the back of a construction truck a couple of weeks ago that said, “Steal here, die here” and Dean and those thugs had better take note. If THEY steal it, the Democratic Party will begin to die an uncomfortable death and they’ll just have to hope for reincarnation in 2012.
of course if McCain beats Obama in 50 states then I dont think the Democrats will have no choice but to elect our girl because she will have a second shot and this time they will get it right. Oh I know the nutcase will win Ilnois
Here’s a gem about Zogby:
“Prior to the January, 2008 New Hampshire Democratic primary, Zogby, like virtually all other pollsters, showed in his polling a large (13 points, in Zogby’s case) lead for Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton, adding, “Obama is still on a roll and not slowing down. He had another big day.” Clinton went on to win by three percentage points.
Zogby’s polling results in the Iowa Caucuses, and the South Carolina, and Florida primaries, however, were far closer, and he was one of only a few pollsters to correctly call Obama’s Iowa win.
However, his final poll in California showed Obama winning by 13%, but the actual results showed Hillary winning by 10%, a 23-point difference far beyond the margin.”
This troll on a Zogby tirade needs to give it up. He is only making himself look silly.
Yeah, but that didn’t stop Yahoo.com and Reuters from treating his silly poll like the gospel today. It was the headline story on Yahoo.
I hope Microsoft takes Yahoo over and those boneheads that choose their stories for the front page get canned.
“Who let the puppy out into the yard? There’s poop everywhere!”
Sorry about that, HeyYouGuys is too little to be obedience trained yet.
LOL yes I know perhaps we should change the law back to the age of 21 when they have more sense.
Helen from Pittsburgh
A 23 point difference beyond the margin.
How far beyond the margin is Zogby’s latest GE poll?
For all the MSM people talking about racist tendencies in KY and WV this is what riverdaughter said in her comments and I could not have said it better — race is not the reason democrats in big primaries are rejecting Obama — they are rejecting him because he is an unknown and he has not defined himself and given voters enough information about himself to earn their trust. Ignoring that fact by the media and his campaign will set race relations back for a long time. He and the media are doing more damage to that dialog than anyone at this point.
From riverduaghter:
I agree and the sad thing is that no Africian American supporting Hillary including myself has any plan to vote for him in the fall. Why is that? I have waited longer to vote for an Africian Americian then for a woman but while I voted for Jesse Jackson twice the reason I voted for him was because he was stronger expecially against Mike Dikulas who lost bad. Now why did I support Hillary well its like this 16 yrs ago I was headed down the wrong path and for some odd reason I started watching the news and this was during the Health care debate when the media was really bashing her and the way she stood up and kept going on even when they tried to indict her. It had an effect on me and she became my Heroine in a world without Heros or Heroines I cleaned up my act and went back to school. Why do I support Hillary because if it wasnt for her I would be in prision or I would be dead. President Hillary Clinton you will always have my deep respect and keep your head up I am with you.

If they knock out Michigan and Florida then they’d better knock out the other states (e.g., Iowa, South Carolina, etc.) that changed their dates as well. And whoever made the decision to treat all the states who changed their dates inconsistently by discriminating against some and not others should be fired (bye bye Donna and Howard). This whole election primary process has been a total sham for so many reasons.
That’s why the May 31st rules committee meeting and/or subsequent credentials meeting, if needed, will be the most important day of this election.
If members are bought and paid for at this juncture then its curtain for America. Nothing short of another revolution will save her (America). But I think the people are ready. Just saying that you want vote for Obama no matter what is a move in the right direction. Taking on the enemy of the people, the Press, is the next item on the agenda.
I just called and left a message with a secretary at Geraldine Ferraro’s office. Told her I won’t support Obambi if he is the nominee. She took my name and phone number. If anyone hasn’t called, please do so.

Give Geraldine some support for speaking out against Obambi.

Hey troll on the Zogby tirade:
We don’t need no stinkin biased polls. We have REALITY.
Obama had his ass handed to him in the big swing states. He’s circling down the drain no matter how you try to misdirect us.
Buzz off gnat.
You call this “reality.” … wow.
It’s not just Zogby that shows Obama with a big lead (although he does have him with the biggest lead) it’s also Gallup & Rasmussen - Obama now has a solid lead among Dems nationally. This thing is headed to the end. You can either get on board and win this election for the Democrats in the fall or you can be a sore loser. It’s up to you.
I must say Obama was not my first choice - but I am a Democrat first and foremost - we NEED to beat John McCain this fall. This is important.

2 out of three got it wrong..just like this fool “Hey…
It is the Constitution stupid…
It astounds me that the Obama voters in Oregon actually cast their ballot for him. He barely campaigned there, and knew zip about their environmental and job problems. Yet they swooned and doted all over him, letting him take their vote for granted. They acted like the ditzy women in Beauty in the Beast who blubbered all over Gaston. Have these voters no dignity? —You’d think they would respect a candidate to actually WORKED for their vote, instead of assuming he’d arrogantly get it with just a snap of his finger??
And as far as Florida goes, I keep hearing, “Oh, we’ll seat the delegates.” Yeah, right, after a nominee is decided upon. I’d prefer someone told me they were screwing me to my face, instead of doing it from behind and pretended that I wasn’t noticing At least the front way, they give me credit for being intelligent if they admit it to my face. So please Obama, just say, “Florida, Michigan, I’m gonna screw ya over big time now. Then I’m gonna come back in November and ask for second helpings. Are ya with me??” . . . . Oh, and thank you, pundits, for calling all the citizens in Kentucky and West Virginia a bunch of racist dumb farts, because in November, that’ll give Obama ample justification for having his face carved in Mt. Rushmore #2 right next to McGovern’s.
it’s because they spend most of their time trying to be hip. After living in the PNW for a few years I find that Portland and Seattle tend to fall all overthemselves trying live up to this image, and it’s an affectation. You know.. how groups of people want to be seen as free-thinkers, yet they all dress the same, drive the same cars, shop in the same stores, name their kids the same things. Rugged individualists that are indistinguishable.
It’s one of those ‘too hip, gotta go’ things.
LOL*…..There is nothing funnier than group-think with the goal of individualism, is there?
*ewwwwwwwwww Starbucks*
When anyone goes out of their way to make an issue out of how they prefer Peets to Starbucks, I know I’m in that zone.
I caucused for Obama in Colorado, but now I support McCain. HAHA!!!
Hi 5!
So as a dem for a day where you asked by Barky to do so or on your own?
Funny update, Larry……thanks for the chuckle!
This makes George Bush Sr.’s fuzzy math look like elementary arithmetic.
In [Barry's] own words….
This guy wants to be our President and control our government. Pay close attention to the last comment!! Below are a few lines from Obama’s books in his own words:
From Dreams of My Father:
I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’
From Dreams of My Father:
“I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.”
From Dreams of My Father:
“There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”
From Dreams of My Father:
“It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.”
From Dreams of My Father:
“I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.”
From Audacity of Hope:
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
And this is surprising to you?
Get a bat, get a knife, get a gun, because the race war is coming to a neighborhood near you.
There is not going to be a race war. That’s for you really right-wing kooks. I can picture you now, all smiley and wild-eyed for a blood-bath. That is so ’60s.
African American’s will riot though, all over Obama’s head when they find out that they’ve been played.
There was no racial tension whatsoever until Mr. Hopey Changey faked it in order to win South Carolina. Hillary was actually ahead in polling amongst AA’s until he pulledthis divide and conquer strategy. Right out of those communist play books.
Obama will actually unify Black and White Americans because in the end, we’ll all end up united against him and his tactics.
This is what I am saying he is a tradgic Mulutto. Good Lord his attitude also proves my point that he knows nothing of Africian Americians because he does not represent the millions of us who are trapped in poverty. He never even mentioned that.

The SDs in my state (Md., which went for BO) are among those who refuse to committ. They said in a recent article that they are watching closely and that electability will be a major factor. We are lucky to have good congresscritters here–and a hunky Dem. governor.
I’ve spent the last two weeks with a friend who’s going through aggressive cancer treatment. She is a devoted Obama devotee, as is her whole family and their large circle of kool aid drinking friends. Because of the situation, her life threatening illness, I have mostly kept my mouth shut (if you knew me, you would know that this takes superhuman discipline). Last night they celebrated the messiah’s victory.
I’ve been getting emails from other friends telling me how bad McCain is and that I need to bite the bullet, lick my wounds and vote for Obama.
I have been an active Democrat for almost 40 years but, to all of these people I have said, and will say until the fat lady sings, I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA because he has allowed and participated in the slander of Hillary Clinton, because he is a liar, a charlatan and a chicken shit politician who purports to be something other than that.
The so-called Democratic Party can bite me.
I second that!
And shove this in your Obama supporters faces, except for the ill one:
Hillary is going to be the nominee.
I agree my supervisor is an Obama manic but since she has treated me well I keep my mouth shut. She and I have actually become closer they are hinting to me that i should switch to Obama but I did not keep quiet I told her I would be switching to McCain if Clinton wasnt the nominee.

Mary Jo Kopechne, Hope your friend recovers fully…
Michigan and Florida should not be compromised on. The votes should be counted as they were originally cast and legally certified by both Secretary of States. Obama chose on his own to remove his name from the ballot in Michigan. He turned his back on Michigan. That was his decision and he should bear the consequences for that alone and not the voters of Michigan. Wonder why he didn’t remove his name from Florida’s ballot too? I can think of many reasons and none of them speak well for him. If the DNC changes the will of the Michigan and Florida voters then they will have violated our civil rights.
The reason his name was on the ballot in FL was because of their state law it had to be, or else he had to file he had removed himself from the whole presidential race to have it struck from the ballot.
I agree with you, he more than turned his back on his supporters here in MI and totally screwed them over, but our state most of all. The Obots can never answer me why he didn’t care enough about them or their vote. (I’m sure a few people in Oregon woke up today wondering the same thing) Then I continue on to point out he deliberately let the deadline pass for filing the paperwork to qualify for Write-In. Of course he did, it was the whole plan in the first place to try to make MI invisible, to not count a bit, because he was so behind in the polls he conspired to Alice Palmer us in his normal dirty Chicago Way form of evil underhanded politics that he practices.
His supporters looking the other way and lying about it are just as morally and legally corrupt and tainted as Obama is. He’s completely unAmerican for this egregious act right there on what he did to our state and the nightmare of the whole sordid mess he created on purpose. He belongs in prison.
What I wish the idiot pundits on TV would truthfully tell is that even though the Republicans only stripped half their delegates they still tallied up 100% of their certified valid vote counts. I called their Repub HQ in Lansing to doublecheck this truth.
It makes what the DNC did doubly evil, totally unacceptable. There is no rule in the By Laws to negate the certified votes of the People, and they further abused the rules to go nuclear on all the delegates instead of half. The Obots better believe I will NEVER forgive the assholes for that and I will NEVER vote for BO.
A serious question…..where does it say The Dem.Party can or can’t run 2 people…..now before folks shoot me down…..unless there IS a law about this, this might be the solution. One fraction of the party gets their man, the other gets their woman and may the best person have the best shot at McCain. No one actually runs as an indy. It would keep this from possibly going to court as I hear it might be heading. Hillary could head this right into court even if denied on the 31st. Just a thought.
Yeah, I like it.
November Ballot:
Hillary’s Party.
Obama’s Party.
Republican Party.
Obama is phonebanking in FL

He can call all he wants. He’s pissed off the state and its too late to make nice.
Typical MSM bullshit warped reality “news” headline which I did not click on:
“Clinton pushes on despite $20M debt, Oregon loss”
Nice try assholes, but Hillary and we could give a rat’s ass what you say.
Gee they forgot the huge Kentucky win and the fact she beat Obama by a huge margin in popular votes combining both states.
http://www.rayvjr.squarespace.com/blog/2008/5/21/clinton-shows-she-can-still-win-and-obama-shows-he-can-still.html
Clinton Shows She Can Still Win and Obama Shows He Can Still Lose
Hillary Clinton continued to show she can still win big even though the media continues to tell everyone she lost the nomination weeks ago. A 35 point loss once again shows that Obama has a serious problem with the base of the Democratic Party. Any superdelegate that doesn’t understand by now that he will likely lose in November should be stripped of their vote, they simply are ignoring reality. The superdelegates have an obligation to pick the most likely winner. If they do anything other than that they are violating their duty to put the Democratic Party first. It’s the superdelegates that are suppose to rise above the emotions in this situation and put the winner at the top of the ticket
Count Florida and Michigan!
They’ve got Claire McCaskill now doing the rounds saying there has been no sexism in the campaign and that Hillary is responsible for bringing her supporters over to Obama. We also have David Gergen saying that Clinton needs to reject the votes of racists, and he cites Kentucky and West Virginia. He said that she needs to stand up and say racism has no place in the campaign. You know, because Obama has spoken out so eloquently against the sexist media and he has rejected the votes of misogynists. They can all go F*&$K themselves.
They are such a group of fucking hypocrits. They can only talk that way because — in Gergen’s case — he never has to run again. That silly woman should think twice before she opens her mouth. First, Obama has offered that VP spot to six or seven other people so she’s never going to get to be Cheney … and her state is going to turn her OUT on her “no sexim” ass.
There has not been any sexism in his campaign I guess constintly calling Hillary desperate or Menapausal is not sexist. As for the racists Obama should just reject the sexist media and the sexist voters. Now I think we should all protest Claire McCaskie and call her what she is a Traitor and a Judas and no stupid Claire she is not responsible for bringing us around. I am not a robot I will not vote for him no matter who asks. I will say I love You Hillary but I will not vote for him. I say we target all those women who voted for Obama.
Helen from Pittsburgh
Excellent idea, Helen. I’ll do just that today.
David Gergen; now blame the BO BS on Senator Clinton, then ask her to cleanup Barky’s poo, and if cinderella doesn’t have the place spotless 08 hundred she will be blamed again?
Do I ‘ave that about right?
I can no more ignore the voters of Kentucky and West Virginia and Florida and Michigan, than I can through my own typical white grand mother under the bus.
From Audacity of Hope:
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
Great bumper sticker.
Hillary Keeps Winning.
They Keep telling her to hit the road.
Between the in the tank media and the Corrupt DNC party insiders i am shocked she is even able to compete still.
In November, when all those caucus states are red, and McCain is running the Electoral Scoreboard like a pro and Obaboozlama is struggling to keep the states Hillary carried…
When MSN is forced to call the election for President McCain…
Tell me…
Who will the blame?
They won’t blame Barry.
They won’t blame his inexperience.
They won’t blame his dismissal of middle american voters.
They won’t blame the race-baiting from his camp.
They won’t blame his dirty chi-town background that turned many voters off.
They won’t blame Donna Brazille and her Stay home bitches attitude.
They won’t blame the DNCs we don’t need anyone but African American Voters and College Educated Elitists approach.
They won’t blame the failed 58 state strategy.
They won’t blame Michelle and her extinction level asteroids on her shoulders.
They won’t blame the idotic spin doctors in the MSM acting like news reporters and lavishing fawning coverage on this rube of a candidate but never bothering to vet him.
They won’t blame the Super-delagates who rushed to him a la cash incentives and mailing list trades and position promises to force him down our throats as the nominee.
They won’t blame the empty campaign rhetoric borrowed from other politicians and spun as his own that when looked at turned out to be hollow and stopped resonating with all but the fainters and the koolaid drinkers.
Who will they blame?
They will blame that bitch Hillary.
And that bitch will come back in 2012 and become President. I mean, how many elections do these DNC assholes get to lose before they get kicked out on their asses?
And we will not be silent and allow that to happen.

This campaign nightmare of the last 5 months has really affected me in surprising ways. With the media bias, the Hillary-bashing, the arrogant, sexist Obamanation, life will never be the same. Examples:
1)I only watch Fox News Channel (!!!) and refuse to watch MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS and ABC.
2)Although I still subscribe to the LA Times, I can’t bear to read national news or the editorials any more.
3)I’ve stopped reading Newsweek (which my husband subscribes to).
4)I’ve stopped watching The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert, which I used to enjoy.
5)My blog reading/posting is down to three (this one, The Confluence and sometimes, Taylor Marsh)
6)I recently connected through Chicago O’Hare airport, and though I’ve flown through there hundreds of times the last few years, this time I kept thinking “This is Obama’s town…”, and it just felt creepy. I just wanted to get on my plane and leave.
6)I find myself thinking about my feminist days when I fought for women’s rights back in the 70s and 80s, and I feel like protesting and joining some kind of movement again. Enough is enough!
Whew, I can’t believe how much my life has changed..
You are not alone. I feel it too.
Hey there is a good pro clinton blog its called Clintondemocrats they are a good blog for us. I love it. I agree I cant believe that I am watching Fox and refuse to watch the others. I also am reading the Pittsburgh Tribune Review instead of the Pittsburgh Press. Richard Mellon Scaife has really given Hillary a fair shot. I can’t believe that the republicians are nicer to Hillary then the sexist Democrats.
Helenfrom Pittsburgh
Dear Helen,
Yes, all the right wingers are pushing Hillary, including Pat Buchanan, Karl Rove, Mary Matalin, etc. etc.
Now why do you think they do that?
(Pssst…According to them nobody could unify and mobilize republicans more than running against Hillary)
Mine too! I never dreamed I would be voting for a Republican for President. But there you have it!
Yeah, Rasmussen was great in 2000!
“Rasmussen: Predicted 49-40 Gore, off by 9.”
I’m just pointing out that polls are hit or miss.
Results are what we should look at, and when we look at results, we see, over and over again, that Obama will NOT win the swing states.
I read somewhere today that Dead Superdelegates Abe Lincoln and Betsy Ross would endorse Obamamamamama today, because of his huge comeback in Kentucky from last place to second. Hillary only mananged to get next to last.
Well he will need to get used to second place if he gets the nomination.
Does anyone know how we can get Dean, Brazille and their cohorts out of the DNC. Who makes the decision to elect members to the DNC? How can we make them accountable for the illegal activities? Can we sue?
Journalists are becoming once bitten, twice shy on this race. I see two factors.
One factor is the profit motive. They used the Obama black-kid-from-the-south-side story because it sold. And did it sell well. Sadly for some, the good Reverend Wright screwed up that story.
So, even if Obama beheaded Clinton, they would have to pump new life into the corpse to keep readers interested until the convention begins.
The other factor is that far from being beheaded, Clinton has become The Terminator. SAWs, claymores, frags, they have no effect, she just keeps on after you. She insists upon being news.
So she is. This just surfaced in the wake of Kentucky in the New York Times.
Pundits, Like Candidates, Find Themselves in Limbo
Evidently it did not occur to the Gray Lady (Dowd was still wishing that Obama would find a way of “putting her in her place” )until after all of Appalachia had signed in that the Hatfields and the McCoys had someone else in their sights.
Actually, the real problem with the MSM was that most of them were claiming, before the Oregon and Kentucky primaries, that Obama would offset any of Hillary’s popular vote and delegate gains in Kentucky with a win in Oregon. Were they all blind to the polls, which showed Hillary with around a 30 point lead in Kentucky, but which only estimated Obama with around a 15 point lead in Oregon?
This is what I wrote to Josh Marshall:
Somebody, please tell me why? Why? Why, champion another who doesn’t know squat about being president!!
How can you so called independent left leaning blogs like (Huffington; Kos; Salon; Slate) possibly believe an inexperienced, unknown, unorganized candidate (”my desk is always messy”) like Obama is the better choice over a wiser, older, more articulate and more knowledgeable candidate?
We’ve just gone through seven long miserably, excruciatingly , gut wrenching years dealing with an incompetent blunderer running this country, and now you champion another who doesn’t know squat about being president!!
How ridiculously stupid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where is the logic????
