Barack Obama’s Candidacy As A Take on The Picture of Dorian Gray

Since January, when I first turned my attention to Barack Obama, I had built up my mental picture of him from his relationship with Tony Rezko and Rezko’s associates. To my mind he was a crook who had been shrewd enough up to that point to avoid a criminal charge.

From that viewpoint I tended to look at Obama’s relationship with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright as a cynical strategy to help Rezko and other crooks financially exploit Chicago’s Black community.

My picture of Obama took a hit last month when I studied Stephen Diamond’s revelations about the Obama-Ayers relationship. Yet as late as yesterday I clung to the belief that if Obama made it to the White House Ayers’s influence on him would be limited to education policy.

The belief crumbled this afternoon when I read the post that Diamond put out today on his blog. Diamond has hurled so much interrelated data into the post that when coupled with the very understated title, “The ‘Monster in the Room’: Does Obama Support Reparations?”, he poses a problem for those who want to summarize his points.

Yet by the time I finished wending my way through his recap of the roots of the Ayers-Obama relationship (and his taking the MSM to task for ignoring his research), his summary of the Forum for Education and Democracy and reparations for Black descendents of slaves, I found myself staring blankly at the computer screen in a kind of frozen panic.

When my brain could work again I heard myself blurt, “It’s like The Picture of Dorian Gray! The ruddy bastard isn’t a crook; he’s William Ayers in blackface!”

I hasten to add that Diamond is not a scaremonger. He isn’t trying to scare anyone; he’s being tenacious. He’s got his questions about Obama’s relationships with Ayers & Co. and he won’t let go of them. But the net effect of his somewhat dry revelations about mostly educational matters evokes a variation of Oscar Wilde’s horror story.

What emerges from Dr. Diamond’s analysis is that Barack Obama has never been a “blank slate,” as so many commentators have portrayed him. He’s a blank slate only for people who are not well informed about the authoritarian Leftist faction that William Ayers represents. The terror of the situation is that such people make up a majority of the American electorate.

Diamond is well informed on the authoritarian Left, so it’s a national tragedy that he didn’t begin his discussion of Barack Obama a year ago.

I strongly urge readers to study Diamond’s latest post and follow the links he provides. Then think about the implications of the mainstream media’s refusal to deal with Diamond’s research on the Ayers-Obama relationship.

Writing off the refusal as ‘liberal bias’ would be sticking your head in the sand. To understand why, study Operation Board Games. The crime and corruption of the “Chicago Combine” is a bipartisan affair that reaches outside Chicago, all the way to Washington, DC.

Despite my shocked outburst, it’s closer to the truth to say that Barack Obama’s part in the Combine pales in seriousness next to his involvement with William Ayers’s faction. Yet the criminal element represented by the Combine is no light matter. By the time it’s all sorted out in the courts many politicians, on both sides of the political aisle, will have much to answer for.

The fact that he got away with his crimes and has no remorse and has carried obama for years. You do not carry someone without expecting something in return.

I agree, lots of plan B talk around here. But I was thinking about it last night, and realizing that the reason plan B talk is good is that it lays out for the world (read Superdelegates) what the election holds for us should Sweetie become our nominee. I think the more the Superdelegates realize the consequence of their actions (like alcoholics or drug addicts have to), perhaps the more they will think about exactly what their vote for Sweetie will do to us.

The fact that this individual,Obama, has been protected from any meaningful investigation until JUST NOW, that a virtual unknown with absolutely NO experiance that would qualify or recommend someone for the position of DAWGCATCHER let alone the top elected offical in the most powerful nation in the history of the world SHOULD give everyone with even a couple of funtioning brain cells pause! He has been mentored, his words not mine,by some of the most radical, crooked, hate America filled sociopaths alive today. Wright, Ayers, Rezko, the oil companies illicitly pumping MILLIONS of dollars into his campaign. How much overseas money has been laundered through his bundlers? I can’t put into words the sense of unreality and out of body experiance watching this unfold engenders. This HAS to be what it felt like to be a sane person living in Germany in the late 20s and early 30s. Remember folks, AH was ELECTED! By a CULT OF PERSONNALITY army of followers that had NO IDEA what he REALLY wanted to do or believed in. Sound familiar! THAT is the reason that if Hillary Clinton is railroaded at the convention and Obama is installed by his cabal of antiDemocratic, antiAmerican radicals and thugs I will campaign VIGORUSLY for John McCain. Obama is possibly the greatest threat this nation has ever faced. After 8 years of being pummeled under the yoke of the Bush Crime family and it’s cadre of neoconazis the Constitution and America itself are weak and on the ropes. At this EXACT point in history the ONLY hope we have of just maintaining let alone re storing our country is Hillary Clinton. And failing her punt and hold on for 4 years of divided government with McCain Presidency and Democratic Houses of Congress. It’s THAT simple.

Well, I do know that he has huge contributers in the energy corporations. He then voted for a bad energy bill. That’s a direct link deal.

How many more lobbyists he owes? There are some articles today on this. Republicans don’t have to be a ginger about this as Hillary did. He could accuse her of being old-style lobby money and get by with it, since one of the more blatant problems of sexism in this primary was that if she disputed him at all, she was “going negative” and “hurting the party.” *blech* It really was that the woman shouldn’t make the man look bad.

So he got by with it.

He really is a policy lightweight as far as I can see. I don’t see any nefarious links or ideology at all.

In fact, I think he’s just an empty suit.

And every blank I fill in, I’m appalled. Here’s the latest. I thought I’d take a look at Giannoulias. It’s a typical example of Ob’s associations and his actions taken on behalf of his constituents:

Our colleague, Russ Stewart was one of the few who pointed out the fact that
Obama played the role of kingmaker in Giannoulias’ successful first time
candidacy. At the age of thirty, Giannoulias became the youngest treasurer in
Illinois history. What qualified Giannoulias for public office and earned him
Obama’s endorsement? He plays basketball with Obama. No park district field
house or asphalt parking lot games for these two men of the people. When in
Chicago, Obama and his pal prefer to play at the exclusive East Bank Club.
Throughout the primary season. Giannoulias has hit the campaign trail to play
Obama in pick up games on the dates of the respective state primaries. Obama
finds it relaxing to play hoops when ballots are being cast. Apart from shooting
buckets, it also helped that Giannoulias and his family members have
contributed so generously to the various Obama campaigns. Giannoulias and his family
are not absolutely committed true believers in the Democratic Party and its
causes, however, as they hedged their bets by contributing to the House
Republican Congressional Campaign Committee and to have also made campaign
contributions to former Governor George H. Ryan.

Remember, Barack Obama is a pawn on the chessboard of Karl Rove. He is not an end-game in himself. So little has been written on Rove’s manipulation of the Democratic primaries that most people seem to have forgotten that he’s still the pre-eminent player in this election.

Obama was picked by Rove back in 2004 as the antidote to Hillary Clinton’s otherwise sure-bet as the Democratic nominee. No Republican can beat her in the fall (something G.O.P. insiders have admitted in a Politico article), so this is why they asked the Illinois G.O.P. to replace Jack Ryan in the U.S. senate election that year, thus giving the seat to Obama. With his ties to Rezko and the corruption trial underway in chicago, Obama will be an easy mark in the fall.

The other chess piece that Rove plans to knock off the board is John McCain. By having him as the assumed G.O.P. nominee, Democratic superdelegates are being lulled into thinking the fall election will be a cakewalk. What most don’t realize is that since the G.O.P. convention takes place AFTER the Democrats, anything can happen there. Conservatives don’t support McCain, evidence enough to suggest they might try to get him disqualified before the first ballot is taken.

Defeating the Rove strategy requires education, exposure, lobbying and maybe even a few firings at the DNC, since Dean and others are so hell-bent on gaming the delegate system to make Obama the nominee.

For more on Dorian Gray’s background and the Rove strategy, please read two articles I’ve posted at thecityedition.com on the election and October Surprise. Here’s a link to one of them, or click on my screen name for a list:

In an August 2006 interview with Ayers and Dohrn it was stated: Despite their critiques, Ayers and Dohrn are eternal optimists. Over coffee, Dohrn reflected that their activist days can serve as a metaphor for a “candle” that illuminates the past—and the future.
“The issue holding us back today, to me, is the idea that what you do won’t make a difference. The elite powers tell us the world is too complicated. They spend a lot of energy fostering despair,” she argues.
The candle shows us that “it’s not true,” Dohrn says. “I don’t think it’s all the complicated issues of what kind of an economic society we really want and how are we going to deal with globalization and all of that. Those are tremendously complex challenges but they’re solvable by human creativity and ingenuity and collective effort.”
Stay vigilant. The light will come.

Obama going to work for the law firm Davis Miner after Harvard is interesting for these reasons:

1-Miner was an aide to Chicago Mayor of 1983 to 1987, this mayors campaign manager was David Axelrod!

2- Miner was a graduate of the U of Chicago law school in 1967, guess who was his classmate and fellow graduate, Bernadine Dohrn!

The thumb-prints of Ayers/Dohrn are all over Barack Obama! They are not folks who simply live in his neighborhood, they are the neighborhood!

Ayers and Dohrn are following the example set by Ayers father, “power to change comes from within the system, when you control a monopoly” the actions of the past by the WU do not cause change, it comes from within, Ayers and Dohrn’s in happens to be Barack Obama, a fellow Marxist and a prime example of such change as exposed on ALL the foundations Obama sat on, the Woods Foundation is not the only one Obama sat on, he never talksa about the other ones he sat on or worked on because investigation into them would expose the sort of alliances Obama favors and supports!

I am definitely going into the Politics Business and am going to make my self filthy rich by fleecing the dumb gullible folks who will believe anything.

I want my US$107million in 5 years having conned my way into the top job. Then my wife can do the same and then my daughter.

The key:
1) Absolute and total cynical exploitation of people existing at the lower end by playing to their basic fears and prejudice.
2) Promise anything and everything to get elected, changing policies on the fly: Promote NAFTA when it suits me, then bash those who supported NAFTA when my voters dont like it. Who gives a damn about such trivial concepts like truth, integrity. Its about ME and MY DESTINY.
3) Invent “Facts”. Losing an election? Invent a victory based on the craziest of assumptions. Sure the media and the smarter folks will see through it but who gives a damn about them. My voters - all those “hard working” voters wont question my “truths” because to do so would be to accept they had been taken for a ride thus far
4) Pretend I am every man/woman. Campaigning in the South? Fake a southern Drawl.
5) Throw in a few bribes: Promise 3 months of tax break. It doesn’t matter whether it will actually help the average American - that’s not the point and anyway cows will fly before congress will allow me to enact such a Bill even if I wanted to do so. No the real point is much simpler - I tell them voting for me = fewer dollars for your gas and they vote for me. Simple as that, because my voters are that simple.

Did Obama lie on TV? His relationship to Rezko was limited to about four hours work for him indirectly when he worked at Allison Davis’ law firm. Well, you can see the letters yourself–the LLC is a combined Rezko/Davis venture influenced peddled by Obama. Maybe that is why Obama never called in tips to Patrick Fitzgerald:

MYTH # 12:/ “Obama never did any political favors for Tony Rezko.”*

Asked if he had intervened on behalf of Rezko or Rezmar with any government entity, Obama replied, “Never. No.”

(But, as Illinois state senator, Barack Obama wrote two letters on Illinois state letterhead to state and city officials supporting Tony
Rezko’s bid for $14 million in state and city funds to construct a building (in spite of the fact Rezko already had a long record of
incompetence in the construction field). Rezko got the $14 million in grant money, which included $855,000 in development FEES for Rezko and his partner, Allison S. Davis, Obama’s former boss. The two letters can be viewed at:

Excellent article, Pundita. I suspect that Bill Ayers has been most beneficial to Obama, up til now, by showing him how to secure the support of legions of 18-26 year old voters. However, I suppose he had to delete the mantra of not trusting anyone over 30…and keep the anti-establishment part. He knew how to recruit them in the 60’s and his techniques have probably improved through his career in education.

The DNC is too blind to understand that the Republicans can defeat Obama by focusing on a myriad of suspect associations. He will be a political hot potato in Novemver, IMHO.

There is such a deluge of information that gives cause for alarm and that might be the exact problem.

The incredibly detailed investigations of his spiderweb world are vast and complicated as well as extrodinarily time consuming to even study let alone fact check independently to verify for ourselves.

The media prefers to indulge their viewers and readers with lightweight snippets and quotes.

I am an avid reader with a great deal of interest in his connections so I slog through these long explorations of his past.

For all these connections to have impact on average voters there needs to be a summary of Rezko, Wright, Ayers and associates with bullet points. Links provided for further study if desired.

The enormity of the picture broken down for bite sized instant digestion of the main facts.

Excellent work and thanks for all the countless hours you’ve all spent doing the job that needs to be done and is by and large ignored by the press.

Pundita, It’ like a Sunami approaching.

What reads like a narrative of Chicago or NY orginized crime family history, has been brought “inhouse” to all levels of American Governance.

To understand how the US Attorney “scandel” sanctioned by a sitting President would lead to witness testimony describing how US Attorney Patrick Fiztgerald was “targeted” for removal and Rezko
being aware of itaccording to Ali Ata, is an amazing tale. A better screenplay would be hard to write and even harder to shoot.

Given the fact that originally, Fiztgerald was assigned to investigate Valerie Wilson, as a way to get him out of Chicago in the first place, serving at pleasure of the president seems to not be in the Dems favor currently. Why was impeachment off the table? Answer; because impeachable offenses were being committed by both parties. Chicago is a microcosim of it.

What is not clear for me is how these individuals in Chicago, from two governors and their entrouge, downstate to Blackwater, Exelon where able to pull this off. Clearly insider trading and intimidation were used on well meaning people.

Obama said in the last 48 hours “we have to be careful about guilt by association” and not picking one person out of 900. Why did he not say 800?
What is up with 900 and 57?
Is this part of Barky’s New School of Numerology?
