The Shrieking of Obamatons

Wow. Why is it that women get the rap for being a bunch of hysterical whiners, when guys like Senator Obama and his staff are the ones going all wobbly? I’m referring to the latest effort of the Obama crowd to manufacture an incident out of Senator Clinton’s comment that she is staying in the race because we know from history that the reality in June is not the reality in August. Senator Clinton noted in passing the historic fact that Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed in California in June of 1968 and that changed what happened at the convention. She also commented that her husband had not wrapped up the nomination until June.

So the Obama crowd is wetting itself and wailing that Clinton is implying Obama should be shot. Jesus, Joseph, and Mary! So if Hillary makes reference to the bombing of Hiroshima in August of 1945 does that mean she wants to nuke the convention? The weaklings and cowards that surround Obama never cease to amaze me. They flail at the littlest imagined slight and throw a conniption because Hillary has the audacity to mention a historic fact. Anyone who suggests that Hillary is trying to suggest or encourage the notion that Obama be shot is a sick sociopath. She has lived with the burden of Secret Service detail and knows all to well the threat political candidates face. And, most importantly, she is not the kind of person to wish harm for other people.

And for the Obama naiton who want this contest to end now–Well too damn bad. Obama is not the nominee, nor is Hillary, until the delegates meet in Denver and actually cast votes. Given the lack of vetting about Obama’s past I think it is wise that the Democrats leave themselves some room before making up their minds. This much is certain–neither Barack nor Hillary have won enough votes in elections and caucuses to be nominated. The outcome now depends on Super Delegates. And Super Delegates ought to make their decision on who gives the Democrats the best chance to win against McCain. If you think things are set in stone and nothing will change before the convention, then you live in a fantasy world. Would somebody get the Obama crybabies a hankie?

SusanUnPC here — Andy just sent me the video — it is SO clear that Hillary meant nothing in her remarks except that she was pointing out that that historic race was ONGOING in the month of June:

Oh God, Larry. Thank you! I’ve just been sitting here laughing till I cried. The funniest line I’ve read all day.

“So if Hillary makes reference to the bombing of Hiroshima in August of 1945 does that mean she wants to nuke the convention? “

Comment by Lute | 2008-05-23 17:54:03

I hope they keep hammering her on it. Because the unbiased viewer will watch and see that what she says makes PERFECT SENSE.

WHY THE FUCK HAS THE MEDIA BEEN TRYING TO GET HER TO QUIT SINCE THE SECOND THE PRIMARY STARTED???

Because wealthy republicans will kill off any candidate who looks competent.
And the gullible elite fell for the bait.

Equally delightful – the State Dem Party of FLA is now suing the national DNC!

That forces the rules committee to seat all the delegates unless they want the suit to tie up the whole nomination.

That is hardly a funny remark…but typical Larry I guess.
And knock off blaming Obama for the media’s taking Hillary’s comment and spinning it negatively! Axelrod made one comment and said he knew it was not meant in a sinister way-she mis-spoke.
This is so typical of Hillary’s supporters – NOW its HER turn to be misconstrued – she apologized and its over. You are just showing how lacking you are in any subject to attack Obama with.

And, the fact is, she has talked about people asking her to get out of the race and used exactly the same Bobby Kennedy-assassinated-june reference TWO times prior to today. Today she uses the excuse that she has been thinking of the Kennedy’s a lot lately. What about the other two times???

Comment by Shainzona | 2008-05-23 18:16:19

marianna – at least Hillary steps up to the plate – unlike Barky who blames everything on everyone else – usually one of his aides….and Hillary.

And Larry’s comment was hysterical. You obviously never laugh.

You’re sad. So sad.

Marianna,

AS a result of being a mental midget you would not be aware of this.

Many here in New England have been thinking of the Kennedy’s for the last few days – because Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant, cancerous brain tumor. The local radio stations, including NPR, have been having shows, where people call in and tell their personal “Kennedy” stories.

As my family was a “Kennnedy” family I have many good stories to tell about them. However, I chose not to.

But a chance meeting happened today. My aunt in Mass. wanted to go to a bookstore today. So I took her to a Border’s Store near her house. We ran into Tom O’Neil, TIP O’Neil’s son. We sat for awhile, and Tom shared his story about Ted getting a Doctor who practiced at Brigham Woman’s to take charge of his fathers cancer treatment.

The Clinton’s also have many personal “Kennedy” stories.

And I’ll make my prediction – Ted will most likely not accept major treatment – so it is a time of rememberance here in New England.

The Clintonns vactioned for many years on Martha’s vineyard – just offshore from the Kennedy’s.

So take you arsine attitude and shove where the sun does not shine.

Why do KNOW NOTHINGS like you feel you can spew venom indicriminatey without anything resembling facts?

We all complain about the American so called media, and I am starting to realize it perfectly mirrors the mental shallowness the ObamaZoids exhibit daily!

Comment by marianna | 2008-05-24 01:55:35

What is this all about? I have no idea why you are lecturing me about this – I simply said that Hillary has made the comment about the primaries and decision going until June and the Kennedy assassination in June more than once. And today she said she made the comparison as she has been thinking of the Kennedy’s lately, as we all have, I’m sure. So my question is, why did she made the same comparison before as Edward Kennedy’s illness was not an issue then so she was probably not just ‘thinking about the Kennedy family’ at that time.
I certainly was not disparaging the Kennedy family at all – I was at the Ambassador Hotel when Bobby was shot (was working for the McCarthy campaign at that time)and that event is particularly painful for me. As I said, at best, Senator Clinton was insensitive in her remarks and many people (not myself) did take her remarks differently and were offended. And it was not Obama-he has not said a word about this.

Comment by Nag | 2008-05-24 07:54:14

Oh, marianna, I’m not as polite… why don’t you and your haughty attitude just fuck off?

Comment by T | 2008-05-24 12:13:01

Mental midget?

Really?

His comment just isn’t funny. It really made you laugh? Well, that’s precious.

Look, she said something dumb. Now she has to take her lumps. And she’ll be out long before the convention. Sorry.

Comment by catriley | 2008-05-23 18:38:57

No.. the Obama campaign immediately POUNCED on the comment, just as they did her innocent LBJ comment. Stop peddling your lies here. It doesn’t pass the smell test. Obama’s campaign jumped into it immediately — do your homework.

If the best you can do with your candidate is hope to be able to twist things out of context to score points, then you have a pretty pisspoor candidate, and I feel sorry for you. Guess he can’t win on his own merits.. whatever they might be.

Comment by Seymour Glass | 2008-05-23 21:05:55

these punks. I just emailed Jonathon Singer at myDD and told him I was gonna find him and bust him in the mouth at the convention for what he wrote about this tonight. (and you can be sure I will – I believe in honor punch outs and ill do the night in the lock up!)

These obamascum are so beyond the pale – Id vote for frigging Reagan or Nixon before Id vote for these jerks.

And Ive voted straight yellow dog dem in every election -every 2 years – since 1980.

McCain ? Hell theres no question!

Theyre just terrified because they know we will be winning the MI and FL delegates and/or heading to denver to fight it out – and between now and then SOME Obama slime story will hit…

Not the first time this subject has been brought up. KROFT: This is a tough question to ask, but a number of years ago, Colin Powell was thinking about running for president, and his wife, Alma, really did not want him to run.
MICHELLE OBAMA: Mm-hmm.
KROFT: She was worried about some crazy person with a gun.
MICHELLE OBAMA: Mm-hmm.
KROFT: Is that something that you think about?
MICHELLE OBAMA: I don’t lose sleep over it, because the realities are that, you know, as a black man, you know, Barack can get shot going to the gas station, you know. So, you know, you can’t — you know, you can’t make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen. We just weren’t raised that way.

Comment by churl | 2008-05-23 18:55:14

Historically, then LBJ had nothing to do with passing civil rights legislation, either. We’ve been down this tiresome road many times. To quote an oft-quoted cliche– you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts, which seem to have a Clinton bias.

I am still scratching my head as to why she apologized for cripes sake. I heard the complete interview on the video before all this foolishness broke. It was in the context of the story she was telling about the primaries in the past that went until June. All you Obama people, give it a rest…as someone else said, Obama has compared himself in the past has to slain individuals. This is a lot of BS about nothing….Obama needs to get back to work and try to bamboozle the people for the November elections…and oh! ya……Hillary isn’t going anywhere…”get use to it”

Comment by **== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== | 2008-05-23 19:46:50

I am still scratching my head as to why she apologized for cripes sake.

Its a matter of picking battles. Easier to apologize and get back to campaigning hard. I don’t fault her for anything.

Comment by karen for Clinton | 2008-05-23 21:12:50

A friend of mine who also supports Hillary is upset everytime Hillary apologizes. She always says something “WHY did she apologize again, HE wouldn’t apologize for anything so it makes her look like she is the one making all the mistakes.” I see her point but disagree. The proper thing to do is to smooth over errors you make or things you say that might be offensive to some or used against you even if not really ammo.

That ob uses “gotcha” is crass.

That hillary apologizes is class.

She is presidential and diplomatic but most of all she is secure in who she is.

He is just arrogant and is afraid he will look even more weak than he is.

Comment by salliort | 2008-05-24 01:30:32

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-23 19:56:34

I have no clue either why she did. One possibility is to get pre-empt the media stupidity.
Or it could be in deference to Kennedy family given Ted’s prognosis is bad.

Comment by Kathy | 2008-05-24 10:09:20

Everyone knows the anniversary of Bobby’ death is in June. That is only two weeks away. I think of the Kennedy’s often. They are part of most democrats lives, especially us older dems. I saw nothing wrong in her remark. For one thing it was a truth and a way to remember Bobby. I often think of that June night. And we are in the middle of a campaign.

I wonder what our world would have been like if he had not been assassinated.
I know he would have been the president.

Comment by concerned... | 2008-05-24 01:44:32

You have got to be kidding me. I cannot believe that anyone would still support her, after lies upon lies and now this comment. It wasn’t accidental. There are many, many examples of primaries going into June without having to reference an assassination. I can’t believe that anyone would defend that statement. It is reprehensible…just like the other comments she has made about “white” working class, etc. Well, I’m white working class and also a woman who the media says should be supporting Senator Clinton. But, there is no way that I could support someone who would stop at nothing for the power of the presidency. There is nothing she wouldn’t do and that is sickening.

If Robert Kennedy Jr. understands what Hillary Clinton was saying then why is it so difficult for Obama supporters to understand? Ya’all are a bunch of whiney babies.

Oh, by the way. When can we start discussing all of the “REAL” death threats, as opposed to this manufactured BS, that have been directed against Hillary and her supporters?

Many Obama supporters are not just idiotic, but they are also very evil.

Comment by Steel | 2008-05-23 22:40:13

There wasn’t anything wrong with what she said…

Comment by LOU | 2008-05-24 05:58:58

There wasn’t a mean intention in that statement what-so-ever. I was surprised when I listened to it. I thought maybe there was a tone of voice or something to make everyone so upset. But when I actually listened to it, she innocently was trying to describe the convention process time line. In doing so, she mentioned Bobby Kennedy. I took it as her explaining why he didn’t get to the convention floor…because he was shot and killed. It was just a fact check. Nothing more was intended. Knowing and watching Hillary for a long time now, I know she is comepletely innocent of these charges against her.
The griping is all about the distraction strategy to throw Hillary off of her game. Hillary is winning landslides and people are speaking loud and clear that they want Hillary. Funny though. She looked upset about Teddy being ill. Hillary is very sensitive. She has a big heart and loves deeply.
Even though Teddy endorsed Obama over her, she still looked concerned and worried about him.
I don’t see that I can say the same about Obama.
He is Obvlivous (with a capital O) to Teddy’s plight. Obama is such a poser.
Move along now. Puerto Rico will pull through for Senator Clinton. You can bet on that. And she will take ALL the delegates!!!

Comment by salliort | 2008-05-24 01:25:21

I would venture to say she was probably thinking of at least one Kennedy those two times as well. :)

Comment by MJ Castleberry | 2008-05-24 01:57:50

are you drunk?

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-05-24 10:28:53

Interesting, so I was right about how the Kennedy family has been on her mind. I thought so.

Her KY speech revealed emotions not related to the win.

You know, the Kennedys, Bush, Clinton……all the big political families duke it out politically, but they share a very common experience. They are very bonded, actually.

I’m sure she was being honest about why that popped into her head.

BTW, I agree about the rest. Obama didn’t jump on this one. Didn’t have to.

It was startling and got attention. You can tell the real quality of each news outlet by how they handled it.

Man, the NY Times has tanked.

Too bad. Such a fabulous history.

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-05-24 10:32:19

What I don’t get is why you think she should change history. LOL*

Same thing with the MLK/LBJ deal. She was speaking historically and correctly.

What’s up with Obama supporters demanding that history be changed to suit their candidate?

That is pretty nuts.

Comment by LOU | 2008-05-24 06:05:58

No she’s not laughing at all. She was blind-sided and hurt by that accusation that she wishes him harm. She meant no harm and did not misspeak. She was fact checking. She would never say underhanded devious things. She is a fact motivated person. Get over it.

That is as bad, or worse than saying Hillary slighted MLK with her LBJ remark. Have we become that PC that we can’t even hold ANY kind of discussion and state facts? Obama can give Hillary the finger and get away with it. But mention RFK. Geez. And some claim women are emotional and overly senstive. Give me a break!!!!!!

Comment by Ulahane | 2008-05-23 17:01:18

How else can they win? Facts are Obama’s enemy. He wants the election based entirely on his charisma and the one anti-war speech he made (unless things start going really well in Iraq, then it will be a distraction to mention that speech.)

Comment by alibe4-Hillary | 2008-05-23 17:10:06

Since this anti war speech was never taped, do we know for certain it actually happened the way they said. Maybe he gave another speech a week later and said just the opposite and since it was never taped he could use either, depending on the outcome of the war and prevailing sentiments. He could always use whichever speech he needed.

Comment by MessyMarcy | 2008-05-23 21:24:01

Even if happened exactly the way they say, the speech was superseded by his later remarks that his position on Iraq was pretty much the same as Bush’s. And I do believe that he has consistently voted in support of the war, not “present” as he does on reproductive rights issues.

What does this make Obama? All together now — a FLIP-FLOPPER!

Comment by so saddened | 2008-05-24 00:31:50

didn’t obaby recently “re”create the alleged speech? so now it says whatever he says he said back then. probably without the umms, ahhhs, uuuhhhhhhhhs.

somehow i think we know that he would’ve “re”created it differently if the war were currently popular. or would have “never” given such a speech.

guess you didn’t get the obabymemo about everything he ever did was right or he never did it. so the other version that he would’ve/could’ve taped later is part of the he never did it portion of his life.

there seems to be a lot of “never did it” stuff for huge portions of his life, as the blanks are plentiful – guess the scrubbing has worked so far. wonder what there is to know???

Dooh!

Sigh.

Comment by Cindy | 2008-05-23 18:27:23

I thought she was making the point that RFK was STILL in the race in June, as well as Bill being STILL in the race in June. Obama’s whiney little ass never ocurred to me. Jeeze, the world DOES revolve around him, doesn’t it?!

Comment by Ash McGonigal | 2008-05-23 19:54:59

Apart from being an out and out lie (Bill had the nomination wrapped up in March) and historically inaccurate (June on 1968’s political calendar is more equivalent to this year’s March), it is an unforgivable reference to make. She’s out of compelling reasons to stay in this race, so now she’s in it just in case Obama gets assassinated like RFK?

Either you people are willfully ignorant (which explains much of this blog) or just sick (which does as well). If Hillary succeeds in her apparently pathological pursuit of an office she seems to think is owed to her, I will be forced to not only leave the party but also actively support any non-Republican who challenges her for any office.

Hillary says purpose was historical instances of candidates staying in race until late in primaries… In 1968: Dem Race was only 3 months along…

New Hampshire, first in nation, wasn’t until March 12. Kennedy didn’t even get into running until March 16. By June 4, 1968, date of California primary, there had only been 13 primaries… Kennedy was killed on June 5…

Oh, you’ve decided that March and June are the same calendar months. More illogical crap from an Obamabot. It just spews from you like a steady stream of garbage.

And, quite frankly, who gives a shit if you leave the Dem party?

Comment by concerned... | 2008-05-24 01:51:12

You obviously know nothing about history. In the year that RFK was running (1968) the primaries began in March so June was like August would be this year. You really need to brush up on political history before you spout BS.

And quite vulgar.

I check in occasionally to look for some sign of life, but most rational people don’t post here anymore.

Bravo, Ash! It’s unfortunate that people can’t see beyond their support of a candidate to see truth. If Senator Obama had said something like this in relation to Senator Clinton I would be appalled. It has nothing to do with who I support. You guys are so blinded in your support of her. I don’t understand it.

Comment by MaryPat | 2008-05-23 20:01:42

Obama apparently thinks he is always on everyone’s minds. But then why wouldn’t he be? After all, he is The One. Look at how quickly he jumped on Bush’s appeasement comment before the Knesset. Of course that just had to be about HIM. Hillary’s reference to RFK just has to be about HIM. Everything is about him.

He needs to get over himself. His adoring masses have made him even more arrogant than he already was. If such a thing is possible.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-05-23 23:06:30

Even the Goalposts are his.

I suppose if GW tooka shot from the the Knesset and BO reacted like a guilty party then perhaps he is talking to Iranian, Hamas and Hezbollah. The NSA could release a transcrpit oops…Karl? What are you doing with that?

Only a filthy liar would concoct a story Clinton was hoping an assassination would catapult her to the nomination.

It is a fact the 1968 Democratic primary went to June (and beyond). It is a fact the 1972 campaign went to June and beyond. It is a fact the 1976 campaign went to June and beyond. It is a fact the 1992 campaign went to June and beyond. In fact, frontloading primaries is a recent phenomenon, and a boneheaded one, for our candidates need to go through the rigors of a primary campaign when there is no incumbent president running for re-election.

Obamabots need to shut up and quit lying.

Comment by **== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== | 2008-05-23 17:12:16

Shame on you! Of course Hillary doesn’t want Obama dead. None of us do. We just want him to realize that he is not capable of doing the job of President.

As for a history with the “Circle of Death,” so do the Kennedys. Let’s have a little respect here for both of those Presidential families, the Clintons and the Kennedys. The job of President is an almost impossible burden and so is that of a United States Senator. Both families have tried to do the best they can to work for the people of this Republic.

I suggest you study about our government before you make a further fool of yourself.

Comment by Susan Nunes | 2008-05-23 17:20:12

Comment by Xeno | 2008-05-23 17:20:19

The obots are wailing about this because they have to have something to distract the public from their candidate’s obvious shortcomings. This is a massive case of projection on their part, since they’re the ones who specialize in issuing death threats to people who don’t worship The Precious. They are the ones who’ve said that some super delegate should beat and/or kill Hillary to get her out of the race. They’ve been using violent imagery to describe what should be done to her for so long that such vicious rhetoric no longer causes consternation on the Obama blogs. Yet an unexceptional comment by Clinton is suddenly an assassination threat. Well, they should know what one looks like since they’ve been issuing them against Clinton for months, if not years.

You can bet that asshole Olbermann will feign outrage about this, despite the fact that he himself made that vile comment about Clinton being beaten into submission. Just as you can be certain that the blogs where Clinton hatred has been taken to violent extremes will be the most ostentatiously outraged. Funny how the hypocritical bastards were absolutely silent when their own comrades indulged in disgusting attacks on Clinton.

Comment by HillaryMadamePresident | 2008-05-23 19:24:32

Yes, and the tide will turn if he is the nominee or, heaven forbid, POTUS. Then MSM will pounce. They do push this stuff, because they must have a controversy, down the road, to report on. I love No Quarter…I am sick of MSM.

Comment by bart | 2008-05-23 20:48:27

Actually “Tom”, I won’t vote for BO. I simply said I agree because the press LIKES BO and makes excuses for him. That means his gaffes don’t last as long and any excuse for a rant against HRS seems have great “hang time.”

Disagree? What about Matthew’s frisson every time BO speaks? Sexist? Since when is that something the press takes issue with?

And I have no corporate master, thanks all the same.

She should have told everyone to take their mental leaps and assinine assumptions and go stew in them. Evil is in the collective mind of the beholders.

Why would anybody want to shoot Barack Obama. It’s not like he’s winner. If he doesn’t lose now he will just lose later. And besides, he’s no Bobby. Bobby died fighting for people’s rights not setting back racial and gender relations 30 years like Obama has. Obama can toss around all the RFKs and JFKs and MLKs he wants, he’s not fit to have washed their cars. The only thing I can think of that he has in common with JFK is he’s left-handed.

Comment by sisterdo | 2008-05-23 17:52:49

Couldn’t agree more. If JFK or RFK and especially MLK saw the baiting that Obama and Axelrod are doing they would all be horrified.

Obama is not RFK. RFK would never have tried to shove Hillary out of her own historic run.

Hillary is also on a historic path. Maybe one time, an Obamabot could ACKNOWLEGE SHE IS HISTORICAL TOO.

WHY CAN’T ONE OBAMABOT ADMIT HILLARY IS ALSO MAKING HISTORY?

SHE IS ALSO MAKING HISTORY, AND BELONGS IN THIS CAMPAIGN UNTIL THE CONVENTION.

It’s memorial weekend. It’s not going to mean squat. Though a certain camp would love to have it mean that all the polls will show Hillary falling apart, it’s a blip. I’m serious here. Stop watching CNN. They have trashed Hillary so much it’s a wonder she is still ahead in so many polls. If they didn’t kill her by now, they aren’t going to kill her. You guys just have to spend enough years in politics to know when things are horrible and when they are a blip. Honest.

Incidentally, I was just reading that the last democrat to lose california was none other than Mike Dukakis. And we all know Barky is Mike Dukakis only taller.

The only other story here is Barry’s skin, that is its incredible thinness. This story will stop because of the BBQ and because it makes him and his followers looks like idiots again. You know that Cole Porter song? “It was too hot …not to cool down” ? That’s the Barry experiment soon to implode.

I’m sure those delegates holding out are holding out for those reasons. When the public at-large finds out, its curtains for The One, The Precious.

The MSM is shielding him from these massive anvil drops. Obama will be lucky if he’s not indicted before November, let alone still standing as the nominee.

Last time I looked this country had a little priciple called Free speech and if the Goverment is not investigating the Anti American comments made by Obama’s spritual advisor, I can assure you they don’t care becuase someone is standing up for their constituional rights to elect a candidate and oppose someone who is questionable. Obama ridicules his audience simply by his demeanor. He is perversely unoriginal, his voice has an undercurrent of arrogant bluster propping it up and his general appearance when he speaks exudes a perfume of odiousness. He seems to wear a crown of invisible envy upon his head which he tries to hide with his platitude-laced speeches. He believes himself a messianic avatar who has descended from the celestial realms of social justice. In other words, he believes himself a kind of god, an ordained savior sent to set the world straight.

Quite simply: he’s a nut. He’s delusional, sociopathic and mentally unstable.

His followers are naive and cannot read him.

Personally I believe he is here to ruin us. He’s the coup de grace. He truly has no real love for this country and considers himself, first, a man of the world. Yes he’s a world citizen sent to save the entire world, or even the universe for that matter.

Comment by Northwest rain | 2008-05-23 19:31:03

Comment by DEM | 2008-05-23 17:39:36

Senator Clinton noted in passing the historic fact that Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed in California in June of 1968 and that changed what happened at the convention.

Actually, Larry, I don’t think that’s the right way to describe HRC’s point. In her remark, she put specific emphasis on the word JUNE. The point was that primaries have gone on until June and even to the convention (she had said that a few minutes earlier) and, moreover, that there had been no call in those cases for the person in second place to drop out.

Comment by jimbo | 2008-05-23 17:40:08

Obama’s involvement with Rezko and all in Chicago makes him vulnerable to rightwing dirty tricks, such as an indictment just before the GE. It is imperative that HRC stay in.

They believe their own baloney……that Obama is RFK.

Obama compared himself to every assassinated leader MLK-RFK-JFK and Lincoln. It was obscene since he had never done anything.

Then his wife said he could get shot any day since he is a black man.

Well, he is not JFK, RFK, or MLK. But he’s the one that only compares himselves to legends, almost always slain legends.

Hillary has RFK Jr.s support and sits in his Senate Seat. Let’s hear if RFK Jr. thinks it’s okay for Hillary to continue her own history making run.

Obama, get over yourself, she’s thinking about RFK’s long campaign…not comparing you to him!

You have no right to claim you are RFK.
_________

And how disgusting BO would try to push a historic woman like Hillary down the stairs like this.

If anybody is being assassinated, it is Hillary via Axelrod. Like anyone with 1500 pledged delegates she needs to take her case to the Convention for the sake of history.

Hillary is making history. And her staying in this contest for every little girl and boy in America, every woman and man who wants to watch this play out.

Hillary is going to the Convention. So STFU Obamzoid hyenas.

I’m not going to dog their personal relationship though.

Obama is no RFK and for sure he’s no JFK. He would have been qualified to maybe wash their cars. These guys were light years over his head. The only similarity he has to JFK is he’s left handed. Obama is a loser next to these men. It’s an insult that he even dares to pretend he is even close.

Just remember – every comment she makes is about Obama all of the time.

So RFK was assassinated. Ergo, she is suggesting that someone assassinate BOzo.

Dooh!

Sigh.

You may be right. But actually what she said was that RFK was killed in June and since the Emancipation Proclamation was signed in June, she’s suggesting that it ought to have been killed so that black people would still be slaves! It was actually a racist statement!

None of this is good for the country or the Democratic Party. If this goes on we will both implode. I feel like Rodney King. “Can’t we all just get along?” I can tell you, since I’m old enough to remember them, JFK, RFK and MLK would be horrified at the vitriol being thrown around in their names. I’m just tired of it. Neither candidate is perfect and neither is evil incarnate. I want the most qualified candidate. I just happen to think that’s Hillary Clinton.

I hate to quote Rush Limbaugh. But, he is absolutely right in this case.

Strange times indeed…

From Rush Limbaugh: “…Look, it’s real simple. Obama is cruising to becoming an illegitimate nominee of the Democrat Party, because every vote will not have been counted. Hillary’s right. He would be the illegitimate nominee. I mean, look, this is the same party, ladies and gentlemen, that complains about voter IDs. I mean what a joke. Voter IDs, now they’re disenfranchising millions of voters, minority voters especially, because the state parties didn’t bow to the DNC and Howard “George Wallace” Dean. How can they nominate anybody if the guy can only win by having votes not count? I mean, that would not only taint Obama as illegitimate, it would destroy their entire ability to go back and use Florida 2000 as an attack against Republicans. …”

I have to say honestly this is the first time imo that Hillary really flubbed up- big time. Do i think she meant anything bad by it? absolutely not, but this was a huge flub (considering the atmosphere we’re dealing with anyway).

She should just come out, admit the truth we all know and something (politically correct) she doesn’t want to say or admit.

She’s waiting, hoping that the damn media starts to do their job before it’s too late and out all the dirt there is on Obama for the public to see before he takes this nomination without people really knowing all the facts of this dangerous unqualified arrogant empy suit.

I think her campaign should have gone full throttle a long time ago and smear him with everything there is out there that we know about him (and that hateful bitch he’s married to), let the public know ALLLLL the facts and then let them decide.

Either way, I won’t vote for him and I’ll hope gleefully for his downfall.

Comment by ChrisXP | 2008-05-23 18:09:57

but this was a huge flub

Actually not, it DID get the MSM’s attention. :)

Sometimes even negative attention is better than none, and will keep the press from giving Obama puff pieces.

She’s letting the SDs know why they have to remain neutral until all the votes are in, and FL and MI delegates are counted.

Comment by Susan Nunes | 2008-05-23 18:17:20

She didn’t flub up at all. Watch the original video on the Argus Leader. And watch the entire interview. She was brilliant.

I love Obamacrats. Ideas are everything for everything for them, not realities that exist on the real plane that the rest of us have to live in. Some ideas make them feel all warm and fuzzy, mostly ambiguous ideas. Other ideas make them sad and scared. They are all their own ideas though and nobody else’s. It’s like being around people with anxiety disorder who freak out all the time and blame everybody around them for their own freaking out, when they are ones with the anxiety disorder. And nothing that is freaking them out is real or happening in the real world, it is all only happening in their tiny minds. Like people with anxiety disorder, we must all do our very best to avoid discussing topics that could upset them. We must keep everything very ambiguous or once again they might not feel warm and fuzzy and they could get upset again and blame us. It’s pathetic. Oh Yeah, by the way you can say anything at all about people that aren’t ambiguous and fuzzy feeling making to them. That is completely okay and includes calling people bitches and shrill and war criminals when they are doing their duty and doing otherwise would send them to jail and only them. You can say they have claws and all sorts of disgusting shit in real life and that’s okay. Don’t be messing with Obamacrats and their warm fuzzy feelings and the accompanying idolatry by bringing up anything factual. It will not be tolerated.

Hillary can’t make a millimeter mistake or its headline news. Bizzaro world.

There is no doubt that MSNBC and three-quarters of CNN are so in the tank for Obama. Witness the alleged VP talk of Bill regarding Hillary. Or that members of her campaign have certainly approached Obama’s campaign about her wanting the spot. That ‘rumor’ started on MSNBC last evening and weirdly became matter-of-fact this morning.

Hillary has flatly denied it and even said it was probably leaked by the Obama campaign. Both camps are denying any ongoing talks. The MSM got their ‘talking points’ from the Obama camp – there is simply no other explanation for this certainty on MSNBC’s part. Now the MSM conveniently switches their breathless debate about Hillary’s VP chances, and what she’d bring to the ticket (much need votes) and harp on a completely inadvertent fact of history.

Since New Hampshire, since California, since Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvannia, the Hillary Hatin’ Media has waxed poetically about the demise of Hillary Clinton’s quest. You’d think by now they’d have some humility, and ounce of shame in there virulent attacks on Hillary and there merciless genuflecting to the Precious.

Its been a dizzying and disturbing display of pandering that you’d think each and everyone of the MSM Obama ass kissers are receiving bribes for there coverage. Bribes and chance to circle-jerk sounds more like it.

The segment on this article topic was nice, too. Zimmerman was the most logical guy on the three guy panel. The Obama supporter was Moonie material, and really focusing on the RFK statement = ASSASSINATION!!. Ed Rollins was being more PC, but even agreed, Hillary didn’t purposely said what the Obama pundit was claiming.

Get cable or satellite. The only thing I watch on TV now is news, weather and documentaries. Can’t wait for pay-per-channel broadcasting, no more liking but 10 channels and paying for 190 worth of trash.

Well said Larry !!

It is nothing but pure desperation by the Obama campaign and the media that Clinton keeps winning and is “ruining” their script of having made the decision that it is over. It is not. Noone has 2210 delegates and until one reaches so all bets are off.

Tough luck. But is up to the people, the voters and the SD who will be the nominee.

That is what Democracy is about.

If you listen to the video first before listening or reading anyone else then it was crystal clear what she meant: that historically primaries were actively being fought all the way to in June

And I would add and beyond if Bobby Kennedy hadn’t been assasinated. And as someone else pointed out if anything Hillary here is in Bobby Kennedy’s position
as he was the one behind in pledged delegates.
So HRC was actually comparing herself to Bobby Kennedy.

NPR is reporting this in an outrageous manner:
They say that HRC said that the assasination of Bobby assasination is a reason for her to stay in the race

They are erasing the frst part about Bill Clinton and twisting her words of the second part.

It makes me sick.

There is only one conclusion of all this: the media and Obama are in bed together and they are all a bunch of pussy (sorry but I am very angry at how loe these scumbags go).

Yeah, like when Bill Clinton mentioned that Jessie Jackson won South Carolina – racist. And now Hillary mentioned Robert Kennedy’s assassination in JUNE, with emphasis on June and somehow that’s equated with suggesting Obama will be assassinated. WTF?!

The more shrill and hyper they (Obama’s camp, Obamabots, and Obama worshipping media) get, the more the American people will see that his whole movement is crack-pot.

No way in hell is he ever going to be president of the United States.

Comment by BubbaHyde | 2008-05-23 21:43:36

Yeah, I think Obama Underground is going to explode as well. Which is hysterical considering the posters who want to “stab her with a stake and cut off her head so she can’t rise again”. Complete projection.

Obama has always been able to “remove” competition, methinks he got in way over his head this time and is not quite sure how to “remove” Sen. Clinton.

No worries tho, I’m sure he will have a much better understanding of a good old fashioned butt kicking once this is all over. Who knows, maybe, just maybe, it will make him a better person (but I’m not holding my breath).

Nobody seems to be paying any attention to this statement made on the LaRouche website from EIR, May 16, 2008 edition. It appears to me that the Clinton campaign has neither confirmed or denied these assertions.

I don’t believe that someone even as out of the mainstream as Lyndon LaRouche, if he wants to maintain even the slightest degree of acceptance in political world, would make this kind of a statement without some basis.

“Unimpeachable sources very close to the Clintons have reported that the morning after the Indiana and North Carolina primaries, calls were made by individuals, recognized as high-ranking members of the U.S. political elite, informing the Clintons that, “while this was not necessarily [their] position,” they wanted it passed along that under no circumstances would Hillary Clinton be permitted to take the Democratic nomination, and that, if by some miscalculation, she did take the nomination, she would never be permitted to take the Presidency. Apparently, the messages concluded that, if, by some unanticipated occurrence, she were to actually go ahead and win the Presidency, it would be the shortest-lived Presidency in the history of the United States. The message was explicit: The combination of Hillary and Bill Clinton in the White House meant a Presidency that would simply wield more independence and more power than they were willing to tolerate. Undoubtedly, Clinton’s continual pledge to represent the lower 80% of the U.S. population, and the unspoken fear that some of her policies seem to lean too far in the direction of the proposals put forward by Lyndon LaRouche, have lowered their toleration level.”

Lyndon LaRouche?… take that with a block of salt.

JESUS ! that sounds like a death threat overall to the clinton family from washington insiders.

it doesn’t surprise me in the least bit. people in this country are so fking ignorant they have no clue of the powers that really run this country and the world… they have no clue

someone up there somewhere made a comment about obama being anointed after the early primaries..this is true.. he was a “blank slate bought and paid for by wall street” i had read on some indepth (in the know) articles (so they said). they were really insightful and revealing about what’s really going on here.

how can ppl be so blind, so closed to seeing what’s before their eyes? look at obama, look at his miniscule (and often failed) record- how the hell did he gain all this power?

scares the freaking hell out of me.

Stranger things have happened this election cycle. Where is the closest thing to unbiased journalism coming from, Fox News Channel.

I tend to think that corruption in the U.S. is now being handled internationally. Price of a barrel of oil is $130 plus, and the news media doesn’t touch on why that is because supposedly its election season.

No outrage, no asking the Bush administration what they are doing about it.

Hillary has to stay in. Its the only way we can save our country.

I just watched Mark Shields go almost apoplectic because Hillary mentioned that Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June. He said that she intentionally made the reference and had to be held accountable. His jowls were bouncing up and down. It was really a sight. Shields has jowls even larger than Nixon’s. And those were some big jowls.

I remember years ago when Rich Little did an album about the Watergate break in. According to Little it was a wall print of Nixon’s jowls that got them caught.

Thank you so much for the video. These hysterical Obama Cultists will stop at nothing to twist and distort any and everything Hillary says.

Comment by HARP | 2008-05-23 18:11:45

HEY POD PEOPLE, Listen up.

1. Spiritual Adviser, April 29, 2008
Non-truth: Obama told reporters at a news conference that his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, was never his spiritual counselor.

“He was never my spiritual mentor. He was my pastor. And to some extent how the press characterized in the past that relationship, I think, was inaccurate,” Obama said.

Truth: During a June 5, 2007, speech at Hampton University, Obama introduced Wright by describing him as “the guy who puts up with me, counsels me, listens to my wife complain about me.”

Sources: CQ, Newsmaker Transcripts, Special Events April 29, 2008; “Obama Says White House Ignores ‘Quiet Riot’ Among Blacks,” CBS2Chicago.com, June 5 2007.

2. Jeremiah Wright, April 16, 2008
Non-truth: During a March 14 interview with FOX News, Obama said he was never in church when his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, made the now infamous sermons during which he proclaimed “God damn America” and asserted that the U.S. brought on the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks with its own “terrorism.”

“None of these statements were ones I had heard myself personally in the pews,” Obama said, calling the sermons “unacceptable and inexcusable.”

Truth: During a March 18 speech Obama said, “Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes.” He added, “The remarks that have caused this recent firestorm weren’t simply controversial … they expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country.”

Nearly one month later, on April 16, Obama told a group of Jewish leaders in Philadelphia that he “did not become aware of [Wright’s statements] until I started running for president,” implying that he did not hear the remarks while he “sat in church.”

Sources: “Obama Rejects Sermons from Pastor Who Was Like an Uncle,” FOXNews.com, March 14, 2008; “Remarks of Senator Barack Obama, ‘A More Perfect Union’” barackobama.com, March 18, 2008; “Obama Tells Philadelphia Jewish leaders He Would Not Sit Down With Hamas,” Obama speech, pool report, April 16, 2008.

3. Selma Voting-Rights March, March 5, 2007
Obama told an audience at a Selma Voting Rights March commemoration that during this historic civil rights event in 1965 “there was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma.”

Non-truth: He said his parents “got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama.”

Truth: Obama was born in 1961 — four years before the 1965 Selma march occurred. He later clarified his remarks, saying, “I meant the whole civil rights movement.”

Sources: “Sen. Obama Delivers Remarks at Selma Voting Rights March Commemoration, Selma, Ala.,” Newsmaker Transcripts, March 4, 2007; “Clinton and Obama Unite, Briefly, in Please to Blacks,” The New York Times, March 5, 2007.

4. Lobbyist Money, April 12, 2008
Non-truth: During campaign speeches, Obama frequently makes the contention that “I’m the only candidate who doesn’t take money from corporate PACs and lobbyists.”

Truth: Obama has raised nearly $14 million from lawyers and lobbyists. In October, Obama raised about $125,000 at a fundraising event in the Washington offices of Greenberg Traurig, the law firm that once employed convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Obama has sought to draw a distinction between “lawyer advocates” and “lawyer lobbyists,” but some non-partisan experts see that as “a distinction without a difference,” as they both operate as special interests.

Sources: “Full Text of Obama’s Speech to the Alliance for American Manufacturing,” Time.com, April 14, 2008; “Obama Draws Fine Line Between Lobbyists, Lawyer Donors,” Newsday, April 12, 2008.

5. Nuclear Legislation, Dec. 30, 2007
During a campaign event in Newton, Iowa, Obama touted his sponsorship of a bill in the Senate that required nuclear power plant owners to notify authorities immediately of all radioactive leaks, no matter how small.

Non-truth: That was “the only nuclear legislation that I’ve passed” he told the crowd.

Truth: Obama had rewritten the bill to ease its passage and removed the language requiring the reporting of leaks. The bill died when it reached the full Senate, and did not pass as he claimed.

Source: “Nuclear Leaks and Response Tested Obama in Senate,” New York Times, Feb. 3, 2008.

6. Law Professor, March 30, 2008
Non-truth: During a campaign fundraiser in Tallahassee, Fla., in March 2007, Obama spoke of his time as a “constitutional law professor” at the University of Chicago, “which means unlike the current president, I actually respect the Constitution.”

Truth: Obama never held a professor position at the University of Chicago. The university said he was a lecturer and taught courses to students at the law school, but “did not hold the title of professor of law.”

Sources: “Obama: Bush Fails to Respect the Constitution,” Associated Press, March 30, 2007; “No ‘Professor’ Obama at U. of C,” Chicago Sun-Times, March 30, 2008.

7. Life Magazine Claims in Obama’s Autobiography, March 25, 2007
In his 1995 autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” Obama cited a copy of Life magazine as having stirred a racial awakening in him.

Non-truth: He wrote that when he was 9 years old, living in Indonesia, he flipped through Life magazine and read an article about a black man who had scarred and ruined his skin applying chemicals that promised to make his skin white. “I imagine other black children, then and now, undergoing similar moments of revelation,” he wrote.

Truth: No article or pictures exist of any such story, according to Life historians. When questioned about the mix-up, Obama couldn’t name the specific magazine in which he read the article.

Source: “The Not-So-Simple Story of Barack Obama’s Youth,” Chicago Tribune, March 25, 2007.

8. Obama’s Fluency, March 25, 2007
Non-truth: Obama has claimed on numerous occasions that, as a boy growing up in Indonesia, he was fluent in the country’s language. “It had taken me less than six months to learn Indonesia’s language, its customs, and its legends,” he wrote in “Dreams From My Father.”

Truth: His first-grade teacher in Jakarta said he struggled with the language, needing help with pronunciation and vowel sounds, and teachers and friends remembered him as a being a quiet boy as a result of his difficulties.

In the real world Bill Clinton did underreact to some of our terrorist threats. He has said so himself which means he is capable of making less than glowing self assessments and learning new things. He’s an intelligent human being with some pretty damned good leadership skills. He isn’t a messiah though, therefore I doubt Hillary is one either. I mean – if you are that human is a messiah going to be your lifelong companion? Probably not, Hillary is probably just human too and learns stuff. She wasn’t blessed with unearthly magic, just the ability to remember history and apply she has learned as a leader. Larry doesn’t seem to need messiahs though in the real world, just human beings capable of learning.

She did apologize. I’ve copied and pasted it below since apparently, you don’t actually read the posts before you comment.

“I was discussing the Democratic primary history and in the course of that discussion mentioned the campaigns of both my husband and Senator (Robert) Kennedy waged in California in June in 1992 and 1968 and I was referencing those to make the point that we have had nomination primary contests that go into June. That’s a historic fact,” she said.

“The Kennedys have been much on my mind the last days because of Senator Kennedy,” she added, referring to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s recent diagnosis of a brain tumor. “I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and in particular the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever.

“My view is that we have to look to the past to our leaders who have inspired us, give us a lot to live up to, and I’m honored to hold Senator Kennedy’s seat in the United States Senate from the state of New York and have the highest regard for the Kennedy family[.]”

I accidentally put a recyclable into the trash yesterday, so I’m thinking I need to apologize to Obama. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking.. what does that have to do with him? Obamabots, do you really think that:

Hillary spent eight years as our First Lady (hate that term BTW) and never suffered one minute of agony over the possibility of Bill’s assassination? She has never had one worry about threats directed at her? And she’s not acutely aware that such violence could happen to anyone running for/in public office including BO?

And it’s almost the 40th anniversary of the tragic assassination of RFK – someone who in his short public life did more for race relations in our country than Obama has ever done (esp. given Obama’s clear tendency to divide rather than unite us on the issue of race). I’ve been acutely aware of this and I’m sure she and others who lived through that tragedy have as well.

Do you really think she would feel ANY emotion other than HORROR over the thought of violence against anyone, especially someone running for/holding public office?

Come on now. Her comments were about the length of the race for the nomination. Only a willfully distorting mind can read them any other way.

Unfortunately, she and BO have both been threatened and will continue to be at risk from those who hate. To try to twist that (and her words) for some political advantage is sick.

I find the claims especially disturbing because they refer to threats made by the political elite. That is different from a lunatic on the loose and it appears to me to be the way Hillary’s opponents are behaving. The way they are behaving goes beyond honest political competition. I would call it vicious.

Also, has Chelsea made any solo appearances since the Indiana and NC primaries? I don’t think she gets Secret Service protection.

I am so sick and tired of his camp oh he is getting death threats, he needs the secret services, his life is in danger, maybe he needs to borrow Air Force 1 to fly about also since he is such a moving target.

Huckabee made a simple joke of his falling on the floor and that also made headlines that someone was alluding to shooting Obama, well if that is the case and all these white people out to get him stay to frig home, lock your dam door and do not come out.
