I think your comments are exquisitely perfect synopsis of the current U.S. presidential political reality.

The elites in the media, DNC and elsewhere DECIDED who they wanted WITHOUT (public) vetting of THEIR nomineee by the press. The media has thus reduced itself to functioning as propaganda zealots of their owm making for their own agendas of radical leftism and diguised it in a person who is a perfect example of the meaning of the word charalatan; Barack Obama.

CHARLATAN: A flamboyant deceiver; one who attracks sutomers with TRICKS (deception) or (jokes.

Obama -- ever the fraud has decided that he will look like an elder statesman instead of a youth--what to you expect from a man who added characters to his autobiography? Nothing but Nothing will sell Obama to me.

I think I recognize your words from earlier but under a different name.

No matter.

I definitely think you should vote your conscience. That's always been Hillary's message, too, btw.

And if you need to find a blog that scrubs the mroe colorful posts, do so.

I posted earlier that I have MY limits. I do NOT wish to read posts about Viagra and the campaign.

I hope I can ignore them But that type of of sheer emasculation just bothers the heck out of me.

We each have our own standards. So far, I'm hanging in with free speech.....up to a point.

I felt a girdle around Talkleft.
I felt a beating around Huffpot.
I felt claustrophobic at Taylor Marsh.

You have to figure out what works for you.

I would suggest. None are perfect. You're unique. So am I.

There is no identical blog that represents me.

I think open dialogue is the best to ask for. And I'll just have to close my eyes to the Viagra posts.

Mike--Obama and Dean have made a big mistake in tossing us Hillary supporters aside. We hold the key to the election and everyday it will become more and more apparent. If we all stand by our decision not to vote for Obama we could be saving this country a huge headache.

linda you make some really good points. On the DNC Survey they ask:

Volunteering time at a local campaign or Party headquarters. check

Making phone calls from a phone bank. check

Organizing an event or fundraiser in my home or community. check

Going door-to-door in my neighborhood. check

I have been very active in this election and as a volunteer for the last 40 years. If that isn't good enough and this party -- now in the firm control of the Obama people has decided to throw us lifetimers under a bus then I am going. And lets see who is going to miss who. I thought about becoming a Republican but I could not make that leap however, being an Independent is perfect for me.

I understand how you feel but the only way to rest our party away from these cultists is to leave it. They will see they cannot win without their base and dump Dean and the rest of the zealots but if not maybe we can have more sway with Republicans then we have had with Democrats.

There is an old saying -- Familiarity Breeds Contempt

FL Voter--McCain is not a rightwinger and I think he has to pacify the right who don't trust him. However, if he inherits millions of us Dems perhaps it would push him further to the center.

pingback -- McCain isn't stupid and wooing us Democrats is not a bad idea. I noticed the top of the site with McCain's picture says New Republican Party. So the Democratic Party is tossing us out but we have a new home with Republicans -- go figure.

I trust Hillary. I don't think her decisions are power-driven.

Whatever she decides is fine with me. Now, I doubt I'll pay attention to unity stuff if she's being pushed aside entirely.

Screw that.

But other than that? I'll listen with an open mind.

I think, though, I've weathered the storm here and have figured out that the hyperbole is just a symptom of cultural dysfunction leaking out. I'm not even entirely convinced that people actually believe their own exaggerations.

The election reminds me that people love to find places in their life to vent outrageous emotions. Because real life demands a pretty buttoned-up approach.

Perhaps that's the real story here.

A tight race.....filled with drama and gender and sex and race.....

It's Mandigo versus the Burning Bed. :)

susaninbosque -- The American people need to vote against Obama in huge numbers as a message to the media DON'T MESS WITH OUR ELECTIONS cause we are no longer buying your propaganda. It never occurred to me that I would not be a Democrat for the rest of my life however, when a great lady gets trashed and an asshole is lauded as the Second Coming then I have had it. We are going to leave a big hole in the party which the latte liberals cannot fill.

kathy -- Obama makes the rules and the media follows them. I will never vote for Obama. I keep hoping McCain will pick Hillary as his VP because she would be terrific on Domestic Policy. However, a Third Party is what I really want to see.

As a Lifelong Democrat I have had it with a party who promised to end the war in Iraq within 3 days of taking Congress and now never mentions it. This is the party that gave us Humphrey, McGovern, Carter, Dukakis and Kerry. Also, I am not too thrilled with Al Gore. He was the President why did he allow them to take it from him? The only successful 2 term president is Bill Clinton and the party has done everything possible to stop another Clinton presidency.

I am tired of saying the issues favor us. The DNC doesn't care about the issues. Most of the last half of the 20th century the Democrats controlled Congress and did nothing about Healthcare for all Americans. In fact they sabotaged Hillary's efforts. So screw em.

fosbach -- Sorry but I think if millions of Clinton supporters come out for McCain he will win. There have been many other years in which the issues favored the Democrats but a Republican becomes president -- wait until the 527's come out about Obama's family values.

Uppity -- how stupid Prima-Donna is. For years the Democrats have coveted the Hispanic vote which makes up almost 30% of this country and now Donna doesn't give a damn -- because Obama is upset that hispanics aren't impressed with him.

I think the Democrats prefer losing. Its so much easier. They can say we tried to get Healthcare for all Americans but the president wouldn't work with us or we didn't get enough votes.

They have before them a candidate who can win in November but they continue to push the loser. Well this time they can do it without my support. The survey the DNC sent asked--How concerned are you that Republican voter suppression schemes will disenfranchise Democrats and impact the outcome of the presidential race? The hypocrisy is galling because the DNC has disenfranchised Florida and Michigan which has impacted the nomination process for President. Perhaps they think we haven't noticed. Because they also enclosed a note which supposedly came from Hillary Clinton urging everyone to give money to the DNC. I guess we're supposed to say -- well if Hillary says we should give money....

I am finished with the Democratic Party and I have voted for everyone of their losers. I will vote in 08 for Hillary or McCain. But I still hope that Hillary decides to run as an Independent instead of sticking with a party who does nothing but trash her.
