It should be mentioned that Pelosi’s claim for superdelegates to not overturn the pledged delegates is dubious at best. In fact, the entire purpose of superdelegates is to overturn the pledged delegates, otherwise there’d be no reason to have them in the first place.

My mom lives in SF and she just told me that she went to the grocery store and while in line, two women behind her and the cashier (another woman) all agreed that Hillary was the ONLY one who could fix the mess we’re in - one of them said: “Look, Hillary knows her way around the White House in the dark - that’s why we should elect her!”
Also, ALL four of them, said that they were completely disgusted with Pelosi (their Rep.) and that they were planning on voting against her in the CA primary next week.

McCain has said explicitly that he would extend the Bush tax cuts, he sang “bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran,” while he admits global warming is a problem, he’s not willing to close corporate tax loopholes or end corporate welfare, or impose the strict regulations we need on polluters to actually do something about the damage being done to our environment, he supported the 2006 Military Commissions Act, which destroyed habeas corpus, which is a perfect example of shredding our constitution, and he has said he thinks Roe V. Wade should be overturned.
I think I’m pretty informed on McCain. Of course this isn’t his “platform,” it’s a description of his beliefs, his actions, and what he would actually do in office.

Carville repeated what he said when he was talking to a big audience of “young kids” that there is a bigger likelihood chance he will be the nominee. But Carville is still making the case HRC is stronger.
I think Carville’s position on this show was very much that of a Democrative operative talking to a Republican one: that is the general mindset of the exchange was the general election and not the primary.

Guys I sent e-mails out this morning to Sean H., Bill O’Reily, Lou Dobs, Rush L, and all our other Hillary bloggers. I begged Sean to talk about the video. Was gratefull that he talked about it on radion this afternoon and will be showing the video tonight on his tv program. Now I only hope Lou Dobbs does on CNN tonight. I also called the Clinton campaign in New York to let them know.
Someone posted earlier that Lou was not on the radio show so he might also be taking the night off from the television show … so it may need to wait a day for him. But Hannity played it three times during the radio broadcast and is playing it tonight on his show — he called it a “premiere” — so Fox is on it. Bill O will be jealous and have to find something for his show …. ;(

Washington Automatic Delegate Eileen Macoll Endorses Hillary
Washington Automatic Delegate Eileen Macoll announced her support for Hillary Clinton today. Macoll is vice chair of the Washington State Democratic Party.
“I’m taking this step today because I have been inspired by Hillary’s bold commitment to solving our nation’s toughest challenges,” Macoll said. “On the issues that matter most-from establishing universal health care to improving our schools to ending the war in Iraq-she has never backed down and never wavered. Hillary has what it takes to beat John McCain this Fall and win back the White House.
“Hillary has a plan to bring an honorable end to the war in Iraq, and I know that Senator she and Senator Murray will ensure that our troops receive the care we should be proud to provide as they return home.”

I’ve not been a member of the Church for many years, but that’s where my roots are, where my relatives worship. Just try telling them that they don’t matter, that they’re some part of a nefarious cabal. And the Obama people expect to seduce them back? So add the Catholics to the Jews to middle-aged women to the blue collar Neanderthals to the seniors and see how far you get, Mr. Obama!

Father Pfleger is creating quite a legacy there at St. Sabina’s. I grew up in a parish just south of there, St. Margaret’s. Strange that Father Pfleger talks so much about white privilege when he is in an occupation and an organization that is a bastion of male privilege. I remember quite clearly as a Catholic child I was told that only men can be priests in the Catholic Church because that is the way Jesus wants it. Does anyone see the irony in this besides me?
