WHy not mention the Mysterious unaccountable uncle?

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-05-29 13:27:07

Absolutely. Let ‘er rip. Whatever you want. but do bring up Father Pfleger and his unconscionable “performance” at Trinity this past Sunday … and that advocating candidates from the pulpit is a tad illegal.

Comment by tzada | 2008-05-29 17:07:26

The NRA for Illinois has this “fathers” rant against a gun shop owner on video. He called for the mob to pull the shop owner out and snuff him. It may have already been on one of the videos you have?

Comment by ginaswo | 2008-05-29 18:14:58

can we find that tape and send it to the Vatican and ask them to do something about this person, he is no priest, he should be defrocked , he is a disgrace, the nuns who died in El Salvador fighting against the liberation theology this guy is preaching, and here he is decrying all white people. I have had enough of Obama and his cadre corps. of marxist hate filed thugs..

we should call and ask about larry sinclair story

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-05-29 13:45:45

As yet unproven. We lose credibility if we go with that story at this point. Sinclair has to offer independent proof.

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-05-29 14:00:41

I agree. Much as I despise Barack Obama for what he is, this sinclair guy holds no credibility in my eyes. He provides proof of nothng and continues to whine his story. I’ve been reading the same crap about him since February. The guy needs to either sh!t of get off the pot.

Has anyone send them an email with the stories and videos on Pfleger yet?

We need to do this so that they have the info. (if they don’t already).

Comment by Ellen Tenn | 2008-05-29 13:25:35

Please ask if they ever found Obama’s “uncle” I don’t think that has been answered.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-05-29 13:25:36

I ponied up the $5.95 to listen to Hannity live since I don’t get any station carrying him in the backwoods where I live.

Can others of you monitor Dobbs, and report whatever you hear?

Ditto Hannity.

We also need PAC NW listeners to check in on Dory Munson’s KIRO AM 710 show — we informed them as well about the video, etc.

Bob Beckel on Fox say Obama/Marxist will blow out Mccain with 150 electoral votes and that Hillary supporters will come around and vote for Obama/Marxist. Does he not read the blogs?

Comment by uhh..uhh what Obama meant was uhh... uhh | 2008-05-29 13:32:48

Bob Beckle always spouts nonsense. He thinks the louder he speaks the more sense he makes.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-05-29 13:47:01

He is such an idiot. I laugh at the bull he spouts on the Fox shows. He is just jockeying for a job with Obama’s campaign…. but if they have any brains, they’ll stay far away from him. He is NOT very bright, imho.

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-05-29 14:21:21

Beckle is only one small step up from Dick Morris, without the toe sucking. I would say Morris is the sleaziest thing I have ever encountered. Horrible voice, looks like someone should run him through a carwash.

Comment by Hillraiser429 | 2008-05-29 13:39:52

HEY–CNN JUST REPORTED THAT PELOSI SAYS SHE WILL “STEP IN” AND PREVENT THE FIGHT FROM GOING TO THE CONVENTION FLOOR!! Can she do that?

Comment by Mr X | 2008-05-29 13:44:36

No. The nominee is chosen at the convention. That’s what it’s for.

Comment by Lady MacBeth Obama | 2008-05-29 13:52:28

Has Pelosi ever accomplished anything that she
pounded her chest over?

Comment by LBJ's Love Child | 2008-05-29 14:24:41

She got her plane upgrade.

Comment by Rob in Chicago | 2008-05-29 15:39:16

And she’s kept impeachment “off the table.”

Comment by mimi | 2008-05-29 17:11:39

I hope she gets voted out. Oh please let that happen.

Comment by katmandu | 2008-05-29 14:43:10

And historically that’s where it was done.

This is interesting. Lynn Sweet. a major reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times Group, has the Pfleger video up, and says she got it from Ben Smith at Politico. So it’s in the mass blog media now, which is critical. http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2008/05/father_michael_pflager.html

And her verbiage is something:

Father Michael Pfleger mocks “entitled” and “white” Hillary at Trinity United Church.

Comment by Suziq | 2008-05-29 13:50:39

Boy - this is rich. Obamabots always claim that Hillary is always changing the rules. Conventions are held to pick the nominee - it is not just a big party. Obamabots seem to have no problem changing the rules to suit them.

Comment by Milly | 2008-05-29 14:52:54

Yeah, Uppity, let’s get the woman to the wall and ask her, what do you got with Hillary? Ah, what is your crush with Oblame? That he notices if you put some nice earrings, “or those beautiful pearls”, who cares, he is a sissy stupid bitch wannabe…you better do not stop any process in the works to make all those vote counts, you got it, or we can make ‘you got it”, but don’t think you wanna go that far, or do you Pelosi? That woman always looks scare, haven’t you noticed?

Comment by fooj | 2008-05-29 15:06:31

Fuck Pelosi. She doesn’t have the authority to do a damn thing. Who the hell does she think she is? I live in California and I’m calling her. Enough of this horseshit. Here’s the # just in case anyone else is interested in voicing an opinion: (202)225-3121.

I’m going to tell her that I’ve been waiting since 2006 for her to STEP IN AND DO SOMETHING to HOLD THE CRIMINALS IN THE WHITE HOUSE ACCOUNTABLE. We ALL have. Perhaps she should “step in” and DO HER FUCKING JOB. Newsflash: Only she could bring in poll numbers lower than the Pres./VP. Nobody gives a rat’s ass what Nancy Pelosi thinks. What’s she afraid of?

You can be replaced, Nancy. Don’t ever forget it.

Comment by mimi | 2008-05-29 17:14:51

how obama never talks about mom
his mom died because of cancer

but he used his mom for political ads

Comment by Mr X | 2008-05-29 13:50:36

It should be mentioned that Pelosi’s claim for superdelegates to not overturn the pledged delegates is dubious at best. In fact, the entire purpose of superdelegates is to overturn the pledged delegates, otherwise there’d be no reason to have them in the first place.

Comment by TexasDarlin | 2008-05-29 15:01:42

YES, simple and true.

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-29 13:54:14

I emailed Corbett and Hannity.

Tried to email Lou Dobbs repeatedly but emails bounced back with a note saying his mailfolder is full –so can’t take the email.

Will try again later; hopefully he’ll clean up his mailfolder…

Comment by JP | 2008-05-29 13:58:08

I went over to his website and all I saw were obamabot emails. We need to get over there and keep trying because they are the only ones posted on there. Whatever it takes we have to stand with Hillary and get her the nomination. No Obama ever on any ticket. Hillary or McCain.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-05-29 13:59:55

E-mail from Hillary:

Have you seen the general election polls lately? They consistently show that we’ll beat John McCain in November. In a national head-to-head match and in the critical swing states, the numbers show I’m the best candidate to take back the White House for Democrats.

That is why it’s critical that we stay in this race and keep fighting for every last vote. We can win the nomination if we extend our popular vote lead, and that means putting everything we have into the final races. With just a few days before the voters in Puerto Rico head to the polls, our campaign is working hard — and your support is making the difference.

Every vote matters. I need you to help today and join our matching program. By matching the donation of someone who hasn’t made a gift before, you’re doubling the impact of your contribution, making your $50 gift worth $100 or your $100 gift worth $200.

Comment by HARP | 2008-05-29 14:00:28

I have come to believe that there only 3 reasons for the DNC and SD`s to support BO.

1 They really think he is a winner.

2 They are afraid to lose the AA vote in the future, so they would rather lose now.

3 They want to lose and let the R`s clean up their own mess.

Comment by MessyMarcy | 2008-05-29 14:16:32

There is a fourth: they are a bunch of idiots who refuse to do what they know is best for the party and the country because of a really bad combination of hunger for power and hatred of the Clintons.

Comment by HARP | 2008-05-29 14:17:55

Right you are. I should not have missed that one.

Comment by IndayHill | 2008-05-29 14:35:49

My mom lives in SF and she just told me that she went to the grocery store and while in line, two women behind her and the cashier (another woman) all agreed that Hillary was the ONLY one who could fix the mess we’re in - one of them said: “Look, Hillary knows her way around the White House in the dark - that’s why we should elect her!”

Also, ALL four of them, said that they were completely disgusted with Pelosi (their Rep.) and that they were planning on voting against her in the CA primary next week.

Pelsoi better watch her back - SF may be liberal, but it doesn’t mean that everyone there loves her!

Oh - and just saw this story online http://www.kptv.com/news/16412289/detail.html - those Obama folks are really a “class act.”

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-29 14:09:03

Dobbs is not there today; there is a replacement sitting in today….

Comment by HARP | 2008-05-29 14:11:04

I think we are making headway. As reported by Ben Smith.

Obama’s slipping image is in some measure a negative reaction from frustrated Clinton supporters. Currently, just 46% of those who support Clinton for the nomination say the party will unite behind Obama if he is the nominee. In March, 58% of Clinton supporters said the party would rally behind Obama if he is the nominee.

Recent declines in Obama’s image have been pronounced among whites - especially white women. Currently, just 43% of white women express a positive opinion of Obama, down from 56% in late February.

During a break, you can read my rant, “Guess I’m Just a Racist Whitey” at http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com

How dare Obama followers call me racist, which they routinely do, when the Obamas worship at a place that celebrates calling Hillary Clinton a white supremacist.

HAD ENOUGH of this guy’s vile baggage. ENOUGH.

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-29 14:18:46

Said that Obama said that Pfleger gave him spiritual guidance, now is onto Ayers

This is good. Wish he would do it on TV as well.

I never thought I would see the day where a Democratic blog was rallying people to feed information to Sean Hannity in order to destroy another Democrat.

Comment by Andy | 2008-05-29 14:24:56

Obama and the DNC has destroyed the Democratic as it existed. And you
are NO DEMOCRAT if you are unable to see this.

Obama is unelectable and he will humiliate us all in November against McCain.

Comment by Noah | 2008-05-29 15:00:30

This seems like a self fulfilling prophesy to me. You think he might be unelectable (but who really knows who is electable and who isn’t until the actual election happens? You would think that Bush was unelectable), and you are doing your damndest to prove that he is unelectable, and actually you are doing your best to make him unelectable.

What happens then when you succeed and we have President McCain? You may have helped will this self fulfilling prophesy to happen, but will we all be better off?

Comment by sonia | 2008-05-29 15:04:35

THIS COUNTRY WILL NEVER ELECT ANOTHER DEMOCRAT AGAIN …

AND U SAID WHAT IF MCCAIN BECOMES THE PRESIDENT
then at least this country will be safe and no one will allow thier pastor to say **** god damn america***

Comment by Noah | 2008-05-29 15:11:14

You think this country would be safe under a war monger like McCain?

And if McCain was president, you are right, he wouldn’t have a pastor who said “god damn america,” he would just continue the Bush tax cuts, bomb Iran, destroy our environment, continue to shred our constitution and appoint justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade.

Now I’m no Obama apologist, but I would take him over McCain any day.

And your “vote Obama and we get attacked rhetoric” sounds too much like Bush’s rhetoric against Kerry.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-29 15:36:37

For a guy who wants us to overlook a 20 year history of attending a racist hate-mongering church, you’re pretty fast and loose with your ill informed McCain platform … so before you come here saying that you’re not an “Obama apologist,” find some facts to defend that statement, okay? ;)

Comment by Noah | 2008-05-29 15:46:26

McCain has said explicitly that he would extend the Bush tax cuts, he sang “bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran,” while he admits global warming is a problem, he’s not willing to close corporate tax loopholes or end corporate welfare, or impose the strict regulations we need on polluters to actually do something about the damage being done to our environment, he supported the 2006 Military Commissions Act, which destroyed habeas corpus, which is a perfect example of shredding our constitution, and he has said he thinks Roe V. Wade should be overturned.

I think I’m pretty informed on McCain. Of course this isn’t his “platform,” it’s a description of his beliefs, his actions, and what he would actually do in office.

Comment by ginaswo | 2008-05-29 18:21:05

obama will put in a 30% SS payroll tax increase on those making 72 or more, for a family of 4 that is a teacher and a fireman. that is middle class tax increase. Obama offers the same 5000 health care tax credit McCain offers. Obama is an inexperienced naive whelp on foreign policy with a hidden radical agenda and associates that would prevent him from obtaining work with a defense contractor. his church is a hate based institution that blames everyone for the ills they face and takes no responsibility for their lives.

It is Hillary or McCain, believe it.

Comment by yo mama | 2008-05-29 15:53:32

Now go back to your ark.

Comment by mimi | 2008-05-29 17:28:00

But before you go back to your ark, hear this: I will NEVER EVER FORGIVE Obama for irresponsibibly playing the race card. He pissed away years of hard work by MLK and all civil rights activists and for what? Just to get elected.

The Democratic Party, the msm forced us into Hannity and the FOX gang. They’ve ignored a good portion of their Party base so I say fuck’em.

And I’m AA.

Comment by Diane | 2008-05-30 08:58:53

I think most of America sees BO for what he is and that he is not a reflection of, nor a representative of, a majority of AA’s. I think Obama will be defeated and be shown as the corrupt individual that he is and it will disgrace him and his key backers only. I think he may have dented the “hard work by MLK and all civil rights activists” but I don’t think he has erased it. Although I have a very low opinion of BO, I still regard AA’s with respect and as equals to caucasians or any other race. I think the crux of the matter is exactly as we have asserted: we are not racists; this has never been about race. This is about the rejection of an inexperienced and shady politician. They come in all colors and we don’t hate their whole race because of them. We just want them to be unable to represent America on the political stage.

Comment by lastlemming | 2008-05-29 15:36:09

It’s not just that Obama is going to lose–it’s who he is–a product of the Chicago Combine, incredibly corrupt–the Democrats have managed to keep their nose clean over the last few years. Now we seem eager to nominate for President a man about whom one can honestly ask: “Will he be indicted BEFORE or AFTER the election?”

Comment by Betty | 2008-05-29 15:47:31

It doesn’t matter if he is electable or not, he is attempting a coup against the United States of America. All Americans need to join for forces to defeat him.

You Obama people have no idea who or what you are supporting, go live with the rats and garbage on the South Side for a while. Go try to really organize for change in Chicago once.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-05-29 17:12:39

The last person I want is Barak as POTUS. Based on the content of his charecter and is complete a total lack of experience.

IT IS NOT ABOUT THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN!!

Sorry to yell, but I have had it with anyone who does not think overt racism is BO’s specialty. He is unable to take responsibility for ANYTHING.

And some people are saying Senator McCain is more of the same? BO is closer to GW than McCain is.

The people are flocking to these individuals because they are the only members of the media who are speaking the truth about ALL of the candidates.
CNN/MSNBC are extremely biased for Obama and they are not discussing the concerns that are being exposed by the rest of the media.
It is about VETTING the nominee..it is about who would be best to be OPUS.
It is the right of all voters to know the truth!!
It is what is BEST for all Americans..not just for a few who have drunk the KoolAid

I think we are making headway - this is a story about a Clinton superdelegate on the rules and Bylaws Committee who doesn’t even like the “compromise” that Michigan put forward.

“I am convinced that neither the RBC nor the DNC have the authority to take pledged delegates allocated to Hillary Clinton by virtue of the popular vote and assign them to either Uncommitted or to Barack Obama as the challenge seeks,” Ferguson wrote in his letter.

And certainly it’s not unfair to say the campaign is colored by the cultural precepts, the ideologies of the Arab men who fund, and direct Obama.

I watch the youtube of this guy this monring and I wonder where he think he is. Okay I’m a white guy, but I definitely have not seen all the benefits that he is talking about. I must have missed a memo, because I’ve never heard of any trust fund with my name on it. And any retirement or 401K I might posses has came from me getting up every morning and even a lot of nights and weekends to go to work and try to make a better life for my family. And I’m supposed to just deny my family for something that happened 150 years ago and something I had absolutely nothing to do with. I’m pissed he is telling me I’m entitled, but I just can’t seem to locate my entitlment :-)

More bad news for Obama, in the form of a Pew poll. Via Politico:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10691.html

Barack Obama’s favorability ratings among white women have significantly depreciated in recent months, particularly among Democrats and independents, posing an immediate obstacle for the likely Democratic nominee as he moves to shore up his party’s base.

According to a new report by The Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, half of white women now have a negative perception of Obama.

Forty-nine percent of white women view Obama unfavorably, while only 43 percent hold a favorable opinion. In February, 36 percent of these women viewed Obama unfavorably while 56 percent had a positive perception of the likely Democratic nominee.

Over the same period, Democratic white women’s negative view of Obama increased from 21 to 35 percent, while their positive view decreased from 72 to 60 percent – roughly the same rate as white women overall.

I always loved Bill Cosby and I am soooo glad to see this from him. I was wondering where he stood.

COULDN’T HAVE SAID IT BETTER

Bill Cosby on Rev. Wright

Article from Wall Street Journal:

Rev.Wright epitomizes the thoughts and actions that have prevented and continue to prevent black America from moving ahead and achieving their potential as a people. He suggests that this United States of America made up of sons and daughters of immigrants (I’m talking of the millions of 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation immigrants in this country) of every race, creed, color and religion each and everyone of them who had nothing to do with slavery, some how owe something to a group of people who have never been slaves? Its amazing. It seems everyone is to blame for the shambles black society is in with its violence, drugs, high school drop out rates, misogyny, and a host of other real and virulent problems, except for the very people who engage in such behavior.

Enough. As a society, culture or people, they should look within themselves and fix their problems.

When did this man become the spokesman for the ‘black church’? And of course his church is different, but that doesn’t mean his message and philosophy is acceptable, or productive or non-offensive or not-racist or indicative or our greater cultural behaviors, values and norms Americans.

And yes, the link between this man and Obama really does matter. At a very minimum, it provides insight into the political and philosophical strain that Obama adheres to.

Anybody from Hillary’s camp who touches this will be branded with the R-word. Suppose Hilllary gets the nomination, she’s not going to burn bridges stupidly the way Obama did.

I know it’s frustrating, but Obama boxed her into a corner. on this. Now do you see why I despise him? It’s despicable. And he’s also done this to blacks like me who disagree with him.

Imagine… in a democracy, in an election.

Yeah, he’s the devil! And he should be viewed such.

Carville repeated what he said when he was talking to a big audience of “young kids” that there is a bigger likelihood chance he will be the nominee. But Carville is still making the case HRC is stronger.

I think Carville’s position on this show was very much that of a Democrative operative talking to a Republican one: that is the general mindset of the exchange was the general election and not the primary.

Washington Automatic Delegate Eileen Macoll Endorses Hillary

Washington Automatic Delegate Eileen Macoll announced her support for Hillary Clinton today. Macoll is vice chair of the Washington State Democratic Party.

“I’m taking this step today because I have been inspired by Hillary’s bold commitment to solving our nation’s toughest challenges,” Macoll said. “On the issues that matter most-from establishing universal health care to improving our schools to ending the war in Iraq-she has never backed down and never wavered. Hillary has what it takes to beat John McCain this Fall and win back the White House.

“Hillary has a plan to bring an honorable end to the war in Iraq, and I know that Senator she and Senator Murray will ensure that our troops receive the care we should be proud to provide as they return home.”

Senator Patty Murray welcomed Macoll’s endorsement today. “Eileen has been a tireless advocate for the Washington State party, and I look forward to working with her to spread Hillary’s message of change in the weeks ahead.”

But you have enjoyed the benefits of what your ancestors did! And unless you are ready to give up the benefits — Throw away your 401 fund! [sic] Throw away your trust fund! Throw away all the money that been put away in the company you walked into ’cause your daddy and your granddaddy and your great grandaddy —

OT: Daniel Schorr says on NPR’s All Things Considered that “Obama obeyed the rules of the DNC and removed his name from the ballot in Michigan. Hillary Clinton kept her name on the ballot”.

Here’s my response to NPR/ATC:

Daniel Schorr’s comment on the DNC’c RBC meeting and the Democratic primary contained a major inaccuracy that. Mr. Schorr reported that Sen. Obama “obeyed the DNC’s rules and removed his name from the Michigan ballot”.

That is a factually false statement straight from the Obama campaign. The DNC never requested candidates to remove their names from the ballots. Sen. Obama did so because: A) He was pandering to Iowa and New Hampshire voters, B) He was trailing badly in the polling in Michigan.

To state he was “obeying the rules” is false and misleading, as it explicitly says that Sen. Clinton did not obey the rules, when in fact she did.

This is a shamefully biased commentary, and NPR should correct it.

Let them know what you think.

Okay, so he apologizes for Phleger. He’s already apologized for Rev. Wright, and Louis Farrakhan and Grandmom. What’s next? Ayers, Jones, Meeks, Moss and Rezko? The list is long and utterly amazing. The question might be: Is there enough time to throw all the dubious connections under the bus before Denver?

And then what will be left?

The same empty rhetoric about hopey-dopey change that we started with.

America, wake up! Kudos to Lou Dobbs and even Sean Hannity [who I never thought I'd be tipping my hat to]. Which, of course, raises the question: where the hell is the DNC? My Party, the people I’ve voted for time and time again. Where the hell are they?

Oh, that’s right, they’re in the tank, on the take, marching in lockstep.

We are in such trouble! And a post I read earlier on a different thread absolutely sickened me. So, Catholics are suspect, too. I’ve not been a member of the Church for many years, but that’s where my roots are, where my relatives worship. Just try telling them that they don’t matter, that they’re some part of a nefarious cabal. And the Obama people expect to seduce them back? So add the Catholics to the Jews to middle-aged women to the blue collar Neanderthals to the seniors and see how far you get, Mr. Obama!

Hell will freeze over first!

No, Catholics aren’t suspect (in this matter, at least). You can’t judge a whole church based on one a-hole.

(and no, I’m not Catholic)

Father Pfleger is creating quite a legacy there at St. Sabina’s. I grew up in a parish just south of there, St. Margaret’s. Strange that Father Pfleger talks so much about white privilege when he is in an occupation and an organization that is a bastion of male privilege. I remember quite clearly as a Catholic child I was told that only men can be priests in the Catholic Church because that is the way Jesus wants it. Does anyone see the irony in this besides me?

Love that Lou Dobbs quote! I’ve always liked Lou even when I disagreed with some of his RW positions, because he has always been an ardnetpopulist and the only journalist who ever talked seriously about the shrinking middle class.

Laughing at all our Fox love…My Republican friends–with whom I’ve had many arguments in the past!–are amazed that I now love Fox and plan to vote McCain…They think the world has spun on its axis and it must be Christmas in Hell. It’s Bizarro World all right!

Um, “ardnetpopulist” = “ardent populist.” I must stop listening to Dubya and his brother from another planet, Obama. They are affectin’ my talkin’ and such.
