About: Larry C. Johnson is a former analyst at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, who moved subsequently in 1989 to the U.S. Department of State, where he served four years as the deputy director for transportation security, antiterrorism assistance training, and special operations in the State Department's Office of Counterterrorism. He left government service in October 1993 and set up a consulting business. He currently is the co-owner and CEO of BERG Associates, LLC (Business Exposure Reduction Group) and is an expert in the fields of terrorism, aviation security, and crisis and risk management, and money laundering investigations. Johnson is the founder and main author of No Quarter, a weblog that addresses issues of terrorism and intelligence and politics. NoQuarterUSA was nominated as Best Political Blog of 2008.[1] He has worked as a private consultant on issues of international terrorism and security for the U.S. Government and private companies. Johnson has appeared as a consultant and commentator in many major newspapers and news programs.[2]

[edit]Background
Larry Johnson moved to Washington, D.C. in 1979 to begin work on a Ph.D. at the American University. Although he completed successfully all coursework and comprehensive exams, he did not write a dissertation. In 1978 and in 1983-85 he worked in Latin America on community development projects as a community organizer. Returning to the United States in 1985 he joined the Central Intelligence Agency, thanks in part to a letter of recommendation from Republican Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) that helped to "open doors" for him at the Agency.[3] Johnson entered on duty at the CIA in September 1985 and was a classmate of Valerie Plame. Every member of that class was undercover. After a year in the Career Trainee program, which included a stint with the Afghan Task Force, Johnson was assigned as an analyst in the Middle America Caribbean Division in the Latin American Affairs Office of the Directorate of Intelligence. He received two Exceptional Performance awards and was promoted ultimately to Senior Regional Analyst for Central America.
Johnson remained undercover in the CIA until October 1989, when he resigned from the CIA and started a new job in the Office of Counter Terrorism at the Department of State. Johnson played an instrumental role in launching the Terrorism Rewards program international advertising campaign (working with Diplomatic Security officers Brad Smith and Michael Parks). [4] Johnson also was involved in a variety of crisis management response operations, including the release of hostages from Lebanon and liaison with the Pan Am 103 families. He left government service in October 1993 and started his own business as a consultant.
After leaving government service, Johnson became a frequent guest on many major television news shows when a question of terrorism came up. He was first interviewed by CNN following the capture of Carlos the Jackal. Johnson subsequently appeared on CNN, ABC's Nightline, CBS, the BBC, MSNBC, the Jim Lehrer News Hour, NBC, and NPR. In December of 1999, for example, Johnson was hired by NBC to serve as its terrorist expert for the Y2000 and was in Time Square with Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric ("a lot of fun and the best way to see in the New Year"). Johnson also was hired in January 2002 as a Fox News Analyst and remained under contract until February 2003.
Since 1994 a significant focus of Johnson's consulting work has been with the U.S. military special operations forces in scripting and conducting military counter terrorism exercises. He traveled under orders from the U.S. military to Iraq in May 2006 to work on a short term project.
A registered Republican who supported President Bush in 2000, Johnson became a strong critic of the Bush administration in May 2003 for its conduct of the war in Iraq and, a few months later, for its role in the outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame.[5] He was also featured in the 2004 political documentary Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism. Since Robert Novak's controversial disclosure of Valerie Plame as a CIA operative in July 2003, Johnson has contributed to public discourse on intelligence matters, often sparking further controversy. He has been interviewed by both the mass media and the alternative media and published commentaries on a variety of issues, including the Plame affair, the controversy concerning Mary McCarthy, and the resignation of Porter Goss as Director of Central Intelligence.

[edit]1996
In 1996, Johnson noted that terrorism worldwide was on the decline. "Terrorist incidents [both internationally and in the US] have fallen to levels not seen since the 1970s. Whether measured by the number of incidents, the number of fatalities, or the number of groups, raw statistics demonstrate that the level of terrorist violence has declined since the mid-1980s. In fact, the evidence suggests terrorism was more widespread and deadly 10 years ago."[6]
He also wrote an op-ed piece for the New York Times suggesting that the newer and more deadly terrorist threat to the U.S. was embodied by "networks of terrorists, mostly foreign, working within its borders." Exemplifying this threat was Ramzi Yousef, one of the masterminds behind the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. In the article, Johnson suggests that enhanced cooperation between intelligence agencies, particularly the FBI and CIA, is mandatory to meet the growing threat of terror networks.[7]
[edit]1998
In 1998, Johnson argued that while overall terrorism was declining, the threat from bin Laden and al-Qaeda should be the focus of American counterterrorism policy:
The nature of the threat posed by Bin Ladin is highlighted by my final chart, number 7. Osama Bin Ladin and individuals associated with him have killed and wounded more Americans than any other group. This chart also illustrates that groups such as Hamas and the Tamil Tigers (LTTE) prior to 1998 have killed more foreigners in the anti-US terrorist attacks. If we take into account the bombings of the US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, Osama's status as the most lethal terrorist is certain.[8]
In addition, he told USA Today that bin Laden had participated in "virtually every major attack of terrorism against the United States" in the 1990s. Johnson underlined the threat posed by bin Laden, saying that he was possessed by "hatred and craziness." If left unanswered, "he would continue to terrorize Americans around the world. He has no compunction about killing women and children. He's a complete egalitarian in his murderous attitude."[9]
[edit]1999
In an interview with PBS's Frontline for its 1999 program, Hunting bin Laden, Johnson discussed Osama bin Laden.[10] According to Johnson, Americans had "tended to make Osama bin Laden sort of a superman in Muslim garb." "Actually," he continues, "Osama bin Laden, in my view, represents more of a symptom of a problem, and the problem is this: the Saudi Arabian government, not just Osama bin Laden but many people in Saudi Arabia, have been sending money to radical Islamic groups for years." Johnson continued:
When you look at who's killed Americans in the last 10 years, the individuals he's supported and backed--I'm basing that upon the initial information that's been released in the indictments and conversations with others in the intelligence communities--Osama bin Laden has been the one killing Americans. No other terrorist group in the world has been out killing Americans except for Osama bin Laden.... Osama bin Laden remains out there as the one really targeting us. So, we recognize that he's the threat. He's serious about wanting to kill Americans, but as long as he's in Afghanistan, as long as he doesn't have access to a cell phone, as long as he can't just hop on a plane and travel wherever he wants without fear of being arrested, his ability to plan and conduct terrorist operations is extremely limited. We have to recognize [that] he would like to do a lot of damage. He would like to kill Americans, but wanting to is different from being able to, having the full capabilities in place.[11]
In the interview, Johnson doubted the ability of members of bin Laden's organization to plan and put their lives on the line:
There's not another Ali or Mustafa out there at this point and Osama bin Laden in my view has not been a very effective organizer or leader. He talks a great game and puts out terrific threats as far as stirring the passions in the United States and maybe firing up the imaginations of some young Muslims throughout the world. But when push comes to shove, can he get a group of people who are together who will say: we are going to plan an operation, we're going to put our lives on the line, we're going to go out and try and kill people and we don't care what the consequence is? It hasn't happened.[12]
Frontline asked:
[Is it] ... fair to say what you're saying is that the president of the United States, his national security advisor, his deputy national security advisor for counter-terrorism, are basically blowing smoke [about the danger posed by bin Laden] and his followers]?
Johnson responded:
They're grossly exaggerating the problem. They are hyping it. They shouldn't be talking about rising terrorism. Instead of saying "terrorism's rising," it's not. "Terrorism is spreading," it's not. "More people are dying from terrorism," not the case. But what they should be saying is, "There's one individual out there that really doesn't like us, and he's made it his mission in life to kill Americans, and we've gotta deal with him." But we need to have a voice of reason in that process instead of putting ourselves out crying wolf, because this is essentially what's taking place right now. They call it the administration that cries wolf.[12]
[edit]2000
Johnson co-authored an article in 2000 with Milt Bearden which focused on the threat posed by al-Qaeda specifically, rather than terrorism trends in general. Beardon and Johnson note that new information emerging about the bombings at Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 points to the threat posed by Imad Mugniyah and Osama Bin Laden will require "a coordinated policy that will employ a full range of covert, clandestine, diplomatic, and military operations," concluding:
The Clinton Administration has shot its bolt on the terrorist problem with small effect, and no last minute show of force will change the record. A new administration can start afresh with a more sharply defined set of terrorism goals – Mughniyeh and bin Laden and their protectors for starters – and bring the full, coordinated force of American diplomatic, military, and intelligence capabilities to bear on the problem.[13]
[edit]2001
After Johnson's testimony to the special forum at the U.S. Senate, Gary J. Schmitt, executive director and CEO of the Project for the New American Century, refers in the Daily Standard (blog) to an op-ed piece Johnson wrote two months prior to the 9/11 attacks, claiming that Johnson argued that the US had little to fear from terrorism.[14]
In an editorial entitled "The Declining Terrorist Threat," published in the New York Times on 10 July 2001, Johnson says:
Judging from news reports and the portrayal of villains in our popular entertainment, Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism.... None of these beliefs are based in fact.... While terrorism is not vanquished, in a world where thousands of nuclear warheads are still aimed across the continents, terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States, and it should not be portrayed that way.[15]
Ten days after the 9/11 attacks, after quoting the above passage, Timothy Noah concludes a post in his "Chatterbox" feature at Slate: "Johnson's analysis, we now see, was bold, persuasive, and 100 percent wrong."[16] Johnson defended himself against such attacks:
The rightwing is resurrecting an op-ed I wrote in July 2001. I stand by the full article. It is still relevant today. I am accused, incorrectly, of ignoring the threat of terrorism. In fact, I correctly noted that the real threat emanated from Bin Laden and Islamic extremism. President Bush, for his part, ignored the CIA warning in August 2001 that Al Qaeda was posed to strike inside the United States.[17]
After September 11, Johnson appeared several times on FOX News to address the question of military action against terrorism. On 14 November, he defended the FBI's proposal to interview 5,000 students in the U.S. suspected of having information relevant to the September 11 investigations:
I think they should talk to everyone that they feel they have a need to talk to. I mean, look, this is war. This is not a legal proceeding. This isn't the O.J. Simpson trial. The folks that attacked us -- they murdered Americans. And we've got to recognize that in wartime, we should do things differently.[18]
[edit]2003
In January 2003, Johnson wrote an analysis of the relationship between the upcoming U.S. invasion of Iraq and the threat of transnational terrorism. According to Johnson, Bremer's response was to tell him that "it didn't matter what Saddam did or didn't do, we were going to war."[19] The paper warned that an invasion would "do little to destroy the infrastructure of radical Islamic terrorism responsible for the 9-11 attacks." Noting that Saddam Hussein's regime has been a longtime supporter of regional terrorist organizations such as the PLO, Johnson examines contacts between Saddam Hussein and transnational terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda:
There is no doubt that Iraq is a state sponsor of terrorism—i.e., a country that provides financial support, safe haven, training, or weapons and explosives to groups or individuals that carry out terrorist attacks. . . . According to Central Intelligence Agency data, there is no credible evidence implicating Iraq in any mass casualty terrorist attacks since 1991. . . .
Johnson notes that the period immediately leading up to 2003 saw a rise of activity surrounding terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, suggesting that "Iraq is willing to help a movement that it would otherwise oppose on ideological grounds. Nonetheless," Johnson concludes, "it is important to understand that Iraqi entreaties to Al Qaeda, are most likely intended as a tactic to bolster Iraq’s ability to fight off a U.S. invasion rather than a deep-seated theological and ideological commitment to the terrorist agenda of Bin Laden.[20]
In that analysis Johnson also warns that the U.S.-led invasion was likely to backfire:
In fact there is a serious risk that a U.S. led war against Iraq may crystallize the diffused anger in the Arab and Muslim world — a heretofore unattained goal of bin Laden and his followers — and persuade more Muslim youths to take up the terrorist banner against America and her citizens.... If we decide to invade Iraq we must be prepared for the contingency that our attack will inspire young Muslims to pursue jihad against the West in general and the United States in particular. Just as the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan rallied many Muslims, especially young adults to the cause of jihad, a U.S. attack may enable Islamic extremists to attract new followers.[20]
Johnson also gave interviews on the topic of what to do with captured al-Qaeda leaders; while he did not condone torture, he suggested that a "sleep deprivation and reward system" might be useful for getting information from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed:
I don't see a constitutional right to have eight hours of sleep. You shouldn't subject someone to freezing but they don't get to wear mink coats, either.[21]
In May 2003, Johnson joined members of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) in condemning the manipulation of intelligence for political purposes:
It is a misuse and abuse of intelligence. The president was being misled. He was ill served by the folks who are supposed to protect him on this. Whether this was witting or unwitting, I don't know, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.[22]
[edit]Plame affair
After Robert Novak wrote a column identifying the wife of former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson as a CIA officer, the media invited Johnson to comment on the ensuing scandal because he had been a member of the same Career Trainee class with Valerie Plame Wilson. For example, in October 2003, he appeared on Democracy Now to discuss the Plame affair. He told interviewer Amy Goodman that Valerie Wilson's cover should have been respected whether she was an "analyst" or a "cleaning lady": "if she's undercover she's undercover, period. If the media allows themselves to get distracted with those kinds of curve balls, they ignore the issue."[23]
He told a Senate Democratic Policy Committee in October 2003, "My classmates and I have been betrayed. Together, we have kept the secrets of each other's identities a secret for 18 years. Each and every one of us have kept that secret, whether we were in the CIA, in other government service or in the private sector. But this issue is not just about a blown cover. It is about the destruction of the very essence, the core of human intelligence collection activities: plausible deniability, apparently, for partisan domestic political reasons."[24]
Johnson testified at a special joint hearing of Congressional and Senate Democrats on 22 July 2005 about the consequences arising from the Plame affair.[25]
[edit]2008
In 2008, Johnson emerged as a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton and a strong critic of Barack Obama. Larry Johnson's blog, NoQuarterUSA, became a rally point for Clinton supporters wary of Barack Obama's qualifications to be president. Supporters of Barack Obama insist that a story that first appeared on Johnson's blog--a report that Republican operatives have a tape of Michelle Obama making racially insenstive comments about caucasians--has been "refuted" Barack Obama's Fight the Smears website.[26]. However, Johnson never claimed to have the tape and reported that the Republican operatives controlling it intended to release the tape sometime after the Democratic Convention in August 2008. On October 21, however, he asserted that the operative in possession of the tape had been instructed by the McCain campaign not to release it.[27]

It is, to be sure, a little bit cheap (and slightly at odds with the usual parameters of this feature) to criticize someone for making an erroneous prediction, particularly after a tragedy. Chatterbox is especially reluctant to tag Johnson because Johnson's op-ed was argued forcefully, backed up meticulously with factual data, and bravely at odds with conventional wisdom at the time of its publication. Add in that Johnson now makes his living as a consultant to corporations about terrorism, and therefore had everything to gain by exaggerating the dangers terrorism poses, and the guy practically looks like a hero. Chatterbox, who two decades ago was an editor for the New York Times op-ed page, would have published Johnson's piece had he still been an editor there this past July. In his capacity at Slate, Chatterbox might well have written up Johnson's prediction, and perhaps even endorsed it.
But boy, is he glad he didn't! Johnson's analysis, we now see, was bold, persuasive, and 100 percent wrong. Sadly, a mistake this embarrassing cannot be ignored. As a fellow skeptic, Chatterbox in all sincerity wishes Johnson better luck next time.

Who is next? Louis Farrakhan? Within the last three weeks Barack Obama has distanced himself from Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger for intemperate remarks they have made. At least Obama had the common sense not to list Farrakhan as one of his spiritual advisors. But not so with Wright and Pfleger. Both appeared on Barack’s campaign site as “official spiritual advisors.” Barack has scrubbed the site of their images, but they were listed and the screenshots are readily available. But Barack cannot erase the past. Here is Pfleger talking to the Chicago Sun Times in 2004 about his young brother:
Friends and advisers, such as the Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina Roman Catholic Church in the Auburn- Gresham community on the South Side, who has known Obama for the better part of 20 years, help him keep that compass set, he says.
“I always have felt in him this consciousness that, at the end of the day, with all of us, you’ve got to face God,” Pfleger says of Obama. “Faith is key to his life, no question about it. It is central to who he is, and not just in his work in the political field, but as a man, as a black man, as a husband, as a father…. I don’t think he could easily divorce his faith from who he is.”
Oh, and white America. You know who you are–Barack referred to you as bitter folks clinging to guns and God. Father Pfleger says you like to rape black people. Listen up:
Barack’s comment about angry, bitter white people did not come out of nowhere. He learned this from Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger and Louis Farrakhan. Barack talks smooth and mellow when the cameras are on, but as we saw in San Francisco, a glimpse of the real man was revealed. The hate of Wright and Pfleger–as Pfleger himself acknowledges–has been drummed into Barack for 20 years.
Here is Pfleger shilling for both Farrakahn and Wright.
And Howard Dean and Donna Brazille want to unleash this freak show on America? No thanks.

Phleger is such a nut job. CRAZY!!
Earth to Phleger: I’m white, and NONE of my ancestors had ANYTHING to do with slavery. I’m Franco-American!
Also: Barack Obama does NOT have ancestors who were slaves in America. It’s more likely that his Arab ancestors were slave-traders. Wouldn’t that be ironic?
According to Lamb who did the Obama geneology, Obama Arab ancesters WERE slave traders
In fact, Barack’s white American family owned a few slaves.
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nationworld/politics/bal-te.obama02mar02,0,3453027.story
It appears that forebears of his white mother owned slaves, according to genealogical research and census records.
The records - which had never been addressed publicly by the Illinois senator or his relatives - were first noted in an ancestry report compiled by William Addams Reitwiesner, who works at the Library of Congress and practices genealogy in his spare time. The report, on Reitwiesner’s Web site, carries a disclaimer that it is a “first draft” - one likely to be examined more closely if Obama is nominated.
According to the research, one of Obama’s great-great-great-great grandfathers, George Washington Overall, owned two slaves who were recorded in the 1850 census in Nelson County, Ky. The same records show that one of Obama’s great-great-great-great-great-grandmothers, Mary Duvall, also owned two slaves.

Oh, the sheer irony!
that is rich…lol
In response to your post title: NO! (sigh) Can’t Fitz work any faster?
I feel that men have completely abandoned women in this democratic primary. Obama is surrounded by men yelling at a woman. The old boy loser establishment–political and cultural–has deserted and denounced Hillary. Edwards (LOSER), Richardson (LOSER), Moore (TIRESOME), Springsteen(OVER THE HILL), Daschle (LOSER), Hayden (TAKES JANE’s FAME & STILL LOSER),Kennedy (LOSER for prez) ,Dodd (LOSER for prez), Kerry (LOSER for prez)–all of them trying to hang on to a little attention.
But the religious attacks from Wright and Pfleger demonstrate a deep, DEEP dis-respect for women.
Hey of the Springsteen yelling at woman I was at his concert (brought his tickets before he announced.) In south Florida when he said something about Obama he got booed at his own concert and they where not saying Bruce ! I loved it
haha. awesome.
you just made my day, late in the day, but still… !
What has fifty tattoos and two teeth?
The front row at a Springsteen concert.
Overall, musicians who are supposed to pride themselves on advocating for the “common man” are supporting the candidate who steals from and supports those who (terrorists) murder the common man.
Google is your friend, denial is not.
Of course, a magazine like Rolling Stone hasn’t really been able to feature, or break, a GREAT musician in years, so I guess it doesnt matter.
Someday…
Truth makes great art, great music.
Not in that crowd, it’s all pretension.
ha, I would love to see that!
You are so right! Women can sit at the back of the bus according to the Obama Locker Room Club.
Women need to have a 10 million women MArch on Washington DC. I am so sick of this loser Obama and all his minions!!!!!!!!!!
Gladys… You are correct
The men that have abandoned Hillary are all losers. They are effeminate emasculated wimps which are a laughing stock to normal moderate Americans.
The only winners in the Democrat party are Hillary and Bill.
If the losers have their way they will rule the party, but they can only do that by cheating and fixing the nomination and kicking out the Clinton wing of the party.
There are real men that call themselves democrat but because of the biased sexist treatment we will be moving on to the only place we can call home. That is or course the Republican party.
Women don’t need to worry about McCain. He is a centrist who has been able to throw off the yoke of the extreme right wing.
A new center coalition is being created which will destroy the sexist Marxists on the left.
seattle — as long as McCain keeps Social Security and gets Healthcare for all Americans I will be happy.
Didn’t you notice? John Kerry (who apparently thinks he will be Secretary of State in an Obamanation) said that universal health care is a “non-starter?” Unless there is a real anti Democratic earth quake, you will have a “Democratic” house and senate. Anything that gets or doesn’t get done can be traced right back to what gets introduced and what doesn’t. I’m not going to just sit here and blame Republicans any more. One thing this primary season has done is open my eyes to the deep and obvious faults within our own party. No straight ticket votes. No drinking the party koolaide. No buying the song and dance that the “Republicans” are responsible for everything. What gets on the agenda is controlled by the Democrats. When we are investigating steroid use by atheletes instead of mismanagement of Social Security funds, we have a problem. And the leadership there is Reid and Pelosi, not the guys in RED.
I want to know their roles in selling Iraq, from the press, to Congress, myself.
And they all think they will have a position in a mythical Obama administration even K**, I bet.
Delusion, top to bottom, bubble much?
beebop 2008-05-30 07:48:39: …”When we are investigating steroid use by atheletes instead of mismanagement of Social Security funds, we have a problem. And the leadership there is Reid and Pelosi, not the guys in RED.”
beebop!!!
Where have you been???? FINALLY! (doing the Snoopy dance) SOMEONE besides me saw the absolute stupidity and misuse of governmental time with that “investigation.” STEROIDS?
Oh yes, PLEASE spend millions of dollars to stop the pandemic of steroid use. This must take top priority! Who cares gas prices are astronomical, the economy is in the toliet, big business has run amok, Iraq, health care expenses and availability, unemployment, displaced hurricane survivors, and so forth?
With the “great savior” poised for takeover, I hope the change we get won’t destroy our country! Official notice of name change: The Obama Nation States… effective Novemember 2008.
What has happened to my party? What is this? I am scared. I have children.
The DNC decided to make Obama the nominee no matter what. We weren’t supposed to notice because Hillary was supposed to leave the stage the first time the media said get out. But a funny thing happened — she didn’t go and now they have lost all semblance of propriety in an effort to push her out the door. When did you ever see the leaders of congress stop a nomination? This will cost the party big time but they can’t see what a disaster this is. This is shameful and will be recorded as the beginning of the end of the Democratic Party.
Pelosi says she will “step in” and settle it next Tuesday.
Who the hell does she think she is?
Gladys: I’m a man and I stand with Hillary!
Max sometimes we forget how many men are with us. However, there is something going on that every woman gets because its happened to us. When that fat sweaty guy calls us honey and makes rude remarks and the boss does nothing. We are told in effect — suck it up or get out.
Max thank you for your support and that of millions of men who see this treatment as unfair and see Hillary as the smartest candidate who will work 24/7 to fix this country.
For such a tough candidate, you sure whine a lot about being mistreated
My husband is a Republican, and he supports Hillary. He says that if had to choose between Hillary or McCain, he’d vote for Hillary. But if it were Obama or McCain, he’d vote for McCain. He says that he doesn’t even want to imagine how Obama will screw over this country. That makes two of us.
Thanks for pointing out that the DNC’s assumption that women will just fall back in line is silly and shallow.
Many of those women’s HUSBANDS and SONS will abandon the party, too, on their behalf.
I don’t think the DNC has any idea what’s ahead for them.
But don’t you get it? Donna and Dean DON’T think these guys are freaks. In Obamaland, they’re the norm.
Gladys: But I agree, there are a lot of men yelling at Hillary. Women, too.
The DNC is a fucking joke! I understand why Republicans don’t like DEMS now. I wonder how in the hell they hope to fix this debacle? There won’t be a dem president for a long time! The DNC has to totally revamp the nomination process and spend MILLIONS of dollars on PR so people know they have changed the process and leadership.
I still couldn’t get over that fact that DNC didn’t vet their candidate and let this man run, and back him for the win. This party is gone. I no longer have anything in common with them.
Remember at the beginning of this year when it was Republicans who were embarrassed to state their party affiliation b/c of Bush and what they have done to this country? Now it’s us - officially an Independent now. I have renounced my Democratic affiliation - as Reagan said: I did not leave the Democratic party, the Democratic party left ME.
I am also embarrassed I once supported Howard Dean - the idiot. Glad that scream kicked him out. And that suck-up Kerry too, as well as all the other losers lining up deifying Obama without bothering to at least google some facts on him. Why is it that we the people have to become our own journalists to get any real facts about Obama? Disgusting.
Yes, despite the factors that Hillary will have the POPULAR vote, the ELECTORAL COLLEGE, the SWING STATES and won her delegates by PRIMARIES vs. CAUCUSES where Obama received the same amount of delegates for 2000 votes as Clinton did for over 200,000. votes, despite all that - one of the bottom lines is this: THE DNC IS GOING TO SELECT AS THEIR NOMINEE SOMEONE WHO THEY KNOW IS A CORRUPTION SCANDAL JUST WAITING TO BREAK OUT IN THE OPEN, SOMEONE WHOSE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE IS WORKING AS A PART TIME STATE SENATOR* AND SOMEONE WHO ONLY HAD A LITTLE OVER 100 WORKING DAYS IN THE U.S. SENATE BEFORE THROWING HIS HAT IN THE RING FOR THE UNITED STATES PRESIDENCY.
People - there are INTERNS in Washington DC right now with more brains & experience than BARACK OBAMA and the DNC is backing THIS candidate?
They all DESERVE TO ROYALLY GO DOWN IN FLAMES!!! Even if Obama wins the Presidency - he will be impeached for the censoring of his corruption will not last forever…it is truly only a matter of time.
blackmannotforObama — the first thing the DNC needs to do is get rid of Howard Dean. He has created this disaster, the proportions of which won’t be known for a long time because the media will not admit how bad this is. If they did they would have to come to terms with their own culpability.
Yes, you’re right.
I want to know their culpability in selling Iraq.
Oh, they’re getting rid of him…but he is to be replaced by one of Obama’s top advisors (probably code for fundraiser). I don’t know how it works, but I’m assuming that the nominee gets to appoint the DNC chair????
At the very least Hillary should go to the convention with her delegates and her 18 million votes and demand that caucuses be made against the rules.
You are ABSOLUTELY correct.
Hillary was in the US Senate. She was getting the “Plan B” pill approved. She was introducing legislation to limit Bush’s power to go to war in 2002. She was doing a LOT. Where was Obama? Trinity.
Hillary was voting to allow Americans access to the courts when they have been poisoned, maimed and had loved ones killed.
OButHussein Odrama wouldn’t anything to help Americans. BO VOTED AGAINST CLASS ACTION SUITS and is proud of it!
He even made a jackass speech to that end.
BO wants to encourage evil doers to pollute and provide deadly Rxs and products to Americans.
The wicked can scheme and scam Americans free from fear of justice.
That’s why they are his biggest donors!
He voted “present”…..
Hey if things do not go our way lets send a check made out to John McCain for a $1 and send it to the DNC and in the memo section put Hillary for President! Pass it on
BEST IDEA I’VE HEARD IN QUOTE SOME TIME - I LOVE IT.
I’ll do it.
Gee, If we could just get rid of white folks and America what a wonderful world this would be. This seems to be the thinking of everyone Obama knows, his wife, his Priest friend and advisor,Rev. Wright and the rest of his crew. I guess Bill Ayers only hates America, haven’t heard him dissing white folks yet. I’m just waiting for the jury to come back in the Tony Rezko trial, I bet getting convicted will make him want to play “Let’s Make a Deal”
Obama’s entire group of Foreign Policy advisors hate Israel and love the muslims. I think we have finally found a group Obama likes.
Please don’t waste your energy feeding these pointless trolls.
They get paid by # of replies.
Are Democrats listening? We don’t want him.
mouton — maybe when millions of us reregister they might just get it but right now they are more afraid of riots than a mass migration from the party.
Reid and Pelosi are trying to shut the process down now, forcing superdelegates to make up their minds. I have hunch that Reid and Pelosi know that America is souring on Obama and his hate monger associates.
I know my people aren’t pleased with this craziness. That Pfleger guy is somethin else.
Don’t forget me Larry,
I heart Obama too!
Rev. James Meeks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM2M11BsA3g
what a tool this guy is; white mayors/governors control the “systems” that control blacks and hispanics? I guess they don’t control any whites? pick and choose to make a stupid argument. Ok let barry become president and let him disenfranchise the black community and then they’ll understand that color has nothing to do with corruption.
meanwhile most Asian groups are matching or bettering whites in standardized test results. Sometimes it’s just about working hard. That’s the truth and it hurts.
Don’t you guys know you shouldn’t feed the Obamatrolls?
Their brain cell has made up its mind and the facts will not get in the way of that decision.
yeah…
I know, I usually don’t…sorry, I had some leftover limburger and I didn’t want it go to waste!
… and whatever you do… never ever ever get them wet.
Hey I guess you all have seen Rev. Meeks who supports Obama–I think he’s also a super-delegate, right? Check that. Something. Anyway, have you seen him rant about house ni@@ers and white slave masters? (Does this news report say that he wants to run for Chicago Mayor, and he is a state senator??)
Wright. Pfleger. Meeks. (Obama claimed these were his three spiritual advisors.)
Pastor / Senator Meeks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvtNeeFG81E
Is there a database somewhere with the names of every superdelegate up for reelection? Every one of these delegates from a state where Hillary won should announce their support for her on or before June 3. If they choose instead to arrogantly disregard the will of the people in their own states, then make them pay. Go to the voting booth and kick their collective superdelegate asses to the curb.
I know John Kerry is up for reelection, I think the guy running against him’s name is Oneill. He would be a good one to help, since Mass went for Hillary. that would send a wake up call
I’m with you on that! I want to be like Santa-
Makin’ a list, checkin’ it twice
Gonna remember who was naughty or nice
Mac — I have Sen. Harry Reid in Nevada and if he goes through with stopping this nomination process he will not get my vote again. Whats interesting is that Rory Reed, Harry Reed’s son was Hillary’s campaign chair in Nevada.
missE:
I just saw that you already posted on Meeks, thank goodness there are people here who know what’s up.
Everyone else is in la la land.
Rev. Michael Pfleger ISN’T getting any airtime(except FOX) on the OBmedia
DELETE the Rev. NOT worthy!!!!!!!!
Oh Gosh.. though Nedra Pickler (Obama’s biggest fan) has an AP story about this on the front page of Yahoo. She somehow seems to have forgotten to put in the part where Pfleger is a LONG TIME associate of Obama, and was listed on his website as a spiritual advisor, until they made room for him under the bus today along with everyone else.
Pickler goes out of her way to make it sound as though Obama had ‘never heard of the guy’ ala Bush/Lay.
AP is the worst…
AP? Azz pounder?
I wonder how Father Phlegm explains away the fact that AFRICANS participated and profited from selling other AFRICANS into slavery. Yep, that inconvenient truth is hardly EVER discussed is it?
I don’t feel guilty, because I’m not guilty and neither were my ancestors. They were digging up rotten potatoes trying to survive a famine in Ireland at the time, so nope, I don’t suffer from ‘white guilt’ - sorry Padre. WTF does slavery have to do with Barack Obama anyways? His ancestors were NOT slaves, his Daddy was a wealthy exchange student for godssakes.
Can you imagine four f*@#ing YEARS of this shite? Neither can I. Hopefully I’ll be able to vote for the nice, sane, smart Methodist lady. If not, I was going to stay home, but I might just consider voting for the Irish guy.
My sentiments exactly! Also why I pointed out how incredibly ironic it would be if Obama’s ancestors were slave traders.
they were, check this out..
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nationworld/politics/bal-te.obama02mar02,0,3453027.story
My ancestors came stearage through Ellis Island. They were so poor–slavery would have been a step up. I have no guilt. In fact I am furious that Obama stirred this up at a time when middle class Americans need help.
ot if you didn’t see BillO rage at MSNBC/NBC earlier it is on agairn right now, don’t miss
I am trying to get that video. I have a copy but it doesn’t play.
I found the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAf76a_Q-D0 the Russert msnbc part starts about 330
Lyn — thank you so much for that video. O’Reilly understood what MSNBC did to Hillary. When he interviewed her I felt he really liked her. I used to like Obermann and laugh when he called Bill O’Reilly the worst person in the world but I have since learned that Fox News is the only news outlet which has been fair and balanced in its coverage and I adore Bill O’Reilly.
Dear God, how much more filth can these bizarro nutcases think of?
I watched one video of Pfleger and just felt my heart sank - couldn’t stomach anymore (it would be helpful if you could just do a little transcript of what he says as I’m sure I’m not the only one who can’t watch this stuff). It’s just too depressing that pastors that people trust are preaching this kind of hatred - oh, how we long for the days of MLK,Jr and unity and love of everyone instead of mistaken blame and hatred and stereotypes - most Americans are struggling and just trying so hard everyday to stay middle class, they don’t understand this entitlement crap Pfleger is passing - and these guys get millions for spewing hatred.
Kinky lets hope that Hillary wants to run as an Independent or we need to vote for McCain. Because this country can’t handle all this hatred.
i need more white people ! how many more guilt by associations does it take before obama is seen for what he is ? a racist, sexist, lying fraud……wtf, i cant believe this, it goes on and on and on……..and they defend this sack of human excrement. are super-delegates cluless, blind and deaf to this pig ? this white hating ignorant piece of crap thinks he can be elected in our great nation ? unbelievable ! i am dumbfounded, not surprised, not shocked, dumbfounded out of my comfort level !
ot~Did anyone see the O’Reilly Factor tonight? Bill let them have it about NBC/MSNBC’s biased coverage. It was great.
I like your moniker. He did say that , didn’t he? That will show up before the ge. The 527’s (??) might prove to be entertaining this year.
I honestly don’t know what’s worse. Do you think that it’s Wright and this guy, or the fact that there are hundreds of people cheering? I gotta go with the cheering. The village idiot always had an audience too. It’s called supply and demand. If there was no demand there would be no supply.
disgusted — the thing that worries me about this cheering audience is what do they do with all that energy and hate when they get home. This is very dangerous.
OFF TOPIC: Larry, SusunPc- I might be BANNED for this. lol!!!!!!! Did anyone hear Mr.O’R(on FOX) SLAM ONBC and OMSNBC, for in the BED(tank) with Mr No HOPE!!!!!!! I have to stop what I was doing to post.
So this is Obama’s idea of church?
This is Obama’s idea of church as he wants his own DAUGHTERS to learn from and be raised in.
This is what he CHOSE for his daughters to be taught.
The Nutty “Priest” Got Earmarks

I love it. Thank you for that link, I learn more each day. It seemed to me that the article was pretty even touting Sen Obama’s story of accomplishments, failures
and unconventional or controversial alliances. It seems his message of change encompasses identifying with all groups in the community or political stage. I shows his willingness and ability to included all people and people who have questioned that. All within the unique political environment of Chicago. The question of how can you a be a politician without being a politician is intriguing as it relates to
to this story. It’s really making me want to get up and do something. I was equally inspired yesterday reading stories of Sen Clinton’s ascension and her unique story. I understood her sincerity to this nation and abundance of qualities that more than qualifies her to lead. Her story is so compelling that it’s no wonder that everyone is so passionate.
I’ve read so many links and I’m up way too late every night but this historical election is exciting and I’ve grown to admire almost anyone crazy enough to run but I especially appreciate all who are left.
Oh what a historical event.
Someone ought to investigate how much money Pfleger has in his bank account….you know for his retirement….
:-0 rut roh
Obambi is sinking so fast I barely have time to enjoy the show.
Make no mistake - this same demographic you hear about: the white college “youth” that is so enamored of Obama - not is spite of, because BECAUSE of the mockery & scorn that Obama & his supporters flaunt for this country - in 8 years they will have morphed into the most rabid Republicans you can imagine. Think David Horowitz. They are the pendulum that has swung so far to the left (in fact, way past any “left” recognizable to a real Democrat), and when they have a mortgage and a few kids, they will swing to the right, and will be demanding that the government stop taxing them for being “successful”, and demanding that the government destroy all of our enemies, and demanding that the government makes them feel safe. But, for today: they have turned politics into something that makes them “feel good”about themselves - they are not like their parents, no, they are for “change”. Some of them even believe it.
OBlama learned his lessons well in Chicago. When all else fails, CRY RACISM! It usually shuts everyone up and he gets what he wants. It’s in his book. He knew what he was doing. Then he sits back with that shit eating grin of his and says..It’s unfortunate that “THOSE” people say such disingenous things. Bullshit!
What he didnt count on was the backlash! Not this time Barry! Not this time! I’m tired of hearing about the, “500 years in bondage”, Shit! Not one of the AA friends of mine subsctibe to this shit! Most say to me….Those preachers are living large arent they?
Excuse me but I say…..F*** EM ALL! I am so numb to this shit already. If the DNC persist on shoving this Racist down our throats then it is time “WE” formed our “OWN” party.
I would like to see the link for the screen shots. This minister does look and sound like an idiot in these clips. But as a Christian, I won’t divorce my faith when so many faith leaders may have views that differ from mine. For instance. Union Chapel Church in the neighborhood I grew up in has an unusual amount of members who get the holy ghost and fall to the floor each Sunday. Amazing. I have never been touched like that but I will still go when I’m back home to greet the pastor and the people I grew up with because it is a social environment. I’ve been to churches that pass a plate every 15 mins but I don’t feel that I have to give to every fund. One of my favs is Blessed Sacrament, Newark NJ. For a Catholic church they don’t sing, they saang and the father gives it up and it all touches me. When I go to church, I don’t know what the message is going to be but I hope that it resonates to me. Somethimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. When it does, I have been spiritually advised. I don’t divorce my faith when the message doesn’t resonate.
toni — when I go to church I don’t expect it to be a KKK meeting. You think this is all so historic? I think this whole primary season sucks. I will never support Obama — he is too full of hate and himself to ever care about the problems of ordinary Americans. I have seen a brilliant woman who understands and cares about the problems of this country more than Obama ever could being trashed daily.
I’m at a point now where I’m speechless. Why anyone in their right mind would be pushing Obarfbag on us is beyond rational thought. This man and his associates are a downright danger to our country. I will be going to the voting booth in California on June 3rd and not be voting for Congressman Waxman because he has endorseded Obarfbag, even thought Hillary won California and he origianally stated he would endorse the winner. He is the only Dem on the ballot, but in the general election I will vote for the Republican challenger happily. I already have a few people who are doing the same.
What else is there to say?
my governor supports him as well, so much for the will of the people. AZ.
I’m right there with ya Beverly! Hold them accountable as they must have serious judgment issues if they’re backing Obama, not to mention - how do I know they’re not corrupt?
There’s a lot of white bashing going on right now from all of Obama’s crazy preachers. And race baiting from the Obama camapign. But in the back of our minds we need to remember that Obama is also bashing black people. Some of them recognize it and see it for what it is. It’s in his remarks about “feeding your kids Popeye’s fried chicken for breakfast.” And not standing with black legislators from Florida who have been trying to get votes counted since…2000. And not speaking out against the death threats towards Tavis smiley. And not attending the State of Black Union. Not going to Tennesee for the MLK memorial. Not doing anything for black people actually, except leaving some of them without heat in Chicago for 4 months.
I know all this crap spewing forth from Obama and his associates is going to lead to racial tension and disharmony. It’s almost inevitable, but I beg people to resist it.
This is really like watching a train wreck in slow motion and being powerless to stop it. These crazy ministers are energizing the real racists and there’s going to be a backlash.
Anyone have a link to the screen capture of Father “Phlegmn” on the BO site before it was scrubbed?
I want to post it on HuffPo.
Huffpo has anarticle up and the Obama folks are doing their denial rationale.
I want to link to the screen capture to mess with their heads.
Off topic a bit but I thought you all would enjoy this…..
sorry about that. I tried to embed a clip….didnt work
Somewhere Rove is laughing his ass off at what the DNC and Democratic beltway elite has handed him. First Wright, then Michelle, Ayers, Barky’s numerous dumbfuck gaffes and now Pfleger doing what amounts to a black face skit for Black folk who eat it up.
I’m sure Farrakhan and the 5 percenters are just lining up for their chance to say stuff as well.
The thing is its clear a Barky nomination is a frigging recipe to totally discredit the DNP for the next decade or two. Because if the DNC, SD’s and party leadership think for one moment the voters are so stupid and crazy as to elect a crooked, ignorant, racist half-Black man with a coterie of friends that belong in either in prison or a lunatic asylum. Well they are dead wrong.
Its also going to alienate so much of the Democratic base that it may fracture the party for good. Not to mention damaging race relations.
As for the SD’s and beltway elite. They have to be some of the dumbest MOFO’s this planet ever produced.
They deserve to lose power.
I remember when Obama’s “crazy Uncle” Jeremiah Wright was having his bigot eruptions and how the far left blogs like “Openleft” were defending and even agreeing with what Wright was saying, and how I told these people as politely as I could that what they were doing was empowering the hatred.
I remember when “Father” Pfleger came out and defended Rev Wright, how on many other blogs, the Obama supporters were saying “see, a Catholic Priest says there is nothing wrong with what Rev Wright said because it is the truth!” And I remember telling these people that Pfleger was a nutjob who is just as bad as Wright. And I remember being called a racist hater because I dared to point out that Wright and Pfleger were nothing but charlatan hate purveyors.
Now that Obama has cut ties to both Wright and Pfleger because they are toxic, just what do these ignorant Obama followers have to say for themselves?
Nothing!
They defended Wright and Pfleger as if their sorry lives depended on it and Obama threw the suckers under the bus!
I’d like to think the Obama supporters are embarrassed for themselves, but as I have learned this primary season, far left wingers have no shame and are even worse people than the right wingers I’ve been bludgeoning into submission all these years.
while you are at HuffPo, check out the article about how Obama wants
to post items for Presidential signature on the Internet and take comments
for 5 days, a la so called direct democracy.
these nitwits want to take the nutroots nationwide and control the
whitehouse on a detailed basis. it’s not enough for them to get
Obama as president, they want to reach consensus as a group
on policy initiatives.
this is sounding like a dangerous mob, even more dangerous
than I expected.
they have to be stopped!!!!
OH! I missed that one!
Must go look.
Think of it — overweight pasty bloggers running the country from their Mommy’s basement sewing room.
LOL
Amalia:
Just looked at the HuffPo piece.
What’s funny is the site developed for Obie-supporters to post their ideas for running the country is titled:
Oh Boy Obama dot com.
Oh Boy??
If a Hillary supporter used the words “Oh Boy” in front of Obama’s name the “Racist!” battle cry would be deafening.
Sounds a little bit like an idea that Ross Perot had….except didn’t he want to do that via Television?
Susan1968, you should also link, exerpt the NYTimes
article from May 11 because that will get to the HuffPhonies.
I linked the screen capture.
Not one word.
Right now top comments are essays on Father Phlegm’s great works for poor people.
Funny how that appeared so quickly.
Damamge control straight from BO headquarters.
Jeeze.
It really doesn’t matter, HuffPo is an echo chamber for those who went back for koolaid refills.
I wonder if John Kerry thinks that Obama’s people are crooked? If he thought Bush people were…he should think that Obama people are.
And tell me again before I go to vote in November — why do Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and their kids feel they still need to be members of this church, let alone be friends with this priest (who was a guest speaker at this church)? We know about the former pastor of TUCC, Rev. Wright, but now the new pastor seems to think it’s perfectly o.k. to host this type of behavior. Men behaving badly should not be rewarded.
I’m reading the pretzle logic of the Obama apologists on HuffPo re: Father Phlegm.
It’s amazing.
jeebus…how does one person surround himself with this many idiots?!
I mean really, it seems to me you’d have to look far and wide to find so many complete nutjobs. You’d have to put some real effort into it. I guess it’s the Obama charisma..he attracts people like Wright and, is that REALLY a priest? How do you find a priest like that anyhow???!!
I have a few kooky friends but NOTHING compared to this shit. Obama truly IS in a class by himself.
cdo — because these vicious racist idiots are the only people Obama feels comfortable with — and for this bastard Reed and Pelosi are stopping the nomination process in order to give Obama the nomination. Who is behind Obama thats what I would like to know and why is the Democratic Party cowed by them?
Follow the money ….
Obama simply can’t win.
What’s wrong with you people? Don’t you know that Father Phlegm is obviously a member of the New and Improved Democratic Party? You know, the one that Donna Brazile talks about? They don’t need us regular OLD Democratic and democratically principled voters who believe in silly old quaint notions like universal healthcare (yeah, that’s right, universal) and counting every vote and not disrespecting other Democratic candidates for having the unmitigated gall of campaigning for their own candidacy while having testicular fortitude but not actual testicles. No, the apparently New and Improved Democratic Party needs only African Americans, first-time voters, and cheetoz boyz to win in all 48 states! Or is it 57? Whatever, just ask Donna. She’s still a member of the Rulez and Bylaws Committee, by the way. Why not leave her a voice or e-mail message to say goodbye. But first why not remind her that while rules are not necessarily sacred, principles are. - h/t FDR

Did anyone else taste bile in their mouth when self-hating white priest screamed ‘rape rape rape’?
Like any of these men care about women’s rights or respecting all women (remember Jerry simulating copulation at the altar? Motherfucker!)
It really is an old boy’s club - it was like he was getting off on yelling all those “rapes” as if the word itself isn’t bad enough, he was actually orgasming off of the thought of it - sick lunatic!
The only networks that reported on this are ABC and Fox…
Nothing is being mentioned on CBS, CNN (nor of course NBO), etc.
Talk about cover up !!
But they won’t be able to keep the lid on this much longer….
Just a little Rove preview…

Thanks for that link!
Excellent article … Klassic Karl and not good for Barry … but still kind, in its own way.
Another example of “white guilt” fish bowling…
except this time it is a “white person” spewing on the pews, so all the “white people” can now say it ok even a white person is blessing the whiteness of the “guilt” while EVERYONE in the audience is applauding ….
Don’t know about you but I recall some people appluading the results of 9/11…not the same thing you say?
Is THIS church? Where is God?
the pastor of my church has a phrase he uses sometimes, “The Church of I Hate You”. I always took it as a reference to fundamentalist churches which preached non stop about such things as the evils of gay people etc…
But Obama’s church is the perfect illustration of the “Church of I hate you”.
This is the ONLY church Obama has real experience with. It is where he “found Christ” (I keep missing the Christ part here) and it is a sick church based in victimization and anger. It is not lifting these people up or giving them a way to love each other.
Obama sat for 20 years in this church and he has the nerve to lecture us about how WE as a party are not inclusive enough of religion? I think he has a warped sense of what religion is or should be.
Obama is such a fraud.
Larry was anyone able to find out exactly which Charles Payne is Obama’s great uncle? did you see this? http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/05/wwii-vet-fires.html?cid=116877274#comment-116877274
Who has the Obama family tree? Does Charles W have any children?
Mr. Johnson;
On Anderson Cooper they had some old footage of BO in Chicago… I wonder where they got the photos. I also am wondering who took the picture of Rezko and Auchi published in the Suntimes…the picture was cropped and I you a penny that Obama was cropped out and that there are photo’s of him in the room. Do we know the name of the Photgrapher.
Anderson said his “Special Investigation Unit is looking into his time in Chicago…
I was yelling at the TV “what NOW you are looking???”
It was a mostly a poo poo piece. But the Muslim gentleman Askia (sp?) said that it was not an “honorable thing” Obama did by challenging Alice Palmer and him…When a Muslim man says that you can take it to the bank. Barak is not an honorable man.
I am suddenly feeling very nauseous. Listening to this “Man of God” is like sticking your head into a sewer.

I’d like to think the Obama supporters are embarrassed for themselves, but as I have learned this primary season, far left wingers have no shame and are even worse people than the right wingers I’ve been bludgeoning into submission all these years
**
A sad thing to realize is that hard-core Obummer supporters WILL STAY HARD-CORE SUPPORTERS - NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING will pry them away from their idol. Now, that’s downright scary! This country is getting in a much worse shape a lot sooner than I thought it would happen. Hillary or McCain ‘08
In the 60s or early 70s the Catholic church forced a priest from an east coast state to resign his elected postition as a rep. or senator. Priest were not to involve themselves in politics. Many priest and nuns in S. America were chastised for political involvment. Remove this man from his position. Also the IRS might want to consider giving these churches (black and white) the option of removing these raging hatefilled people or losing their tax exempt status. Note to Barky: Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas.
I find the idea of an independent candidate HRC very intriguing. If she would take former NY mayor Bloomberg as VP candidate she would firmly base herself in the middle of the political spectrum and push obama to the left and mccain probably out of the picture (and the money would be there, too). This would show crossover appeal and REAL change.
CLINTON/BLOOMBERG 08!
I could be wrong about this, but with the bundlers from Wall Street clearly in the tank with Obama, I believe that MB is with the Obama camp …. And I think that Mike sees himself as more presidential … he could be hoping — as we are — that BO fails, McCain gets his four years and then it is time for him to make his move.
The Obamas had one thing right, they are definitely not going to get another look at this thing. America will not want to hear his name again after this is over. Has one candidate ever offended more Americans during primary season?
Stunning….absolutely stunning…It is difficult to describe my revulsion @ the video provided.
It is terrifying that this man is running for president..It is affimative action gone wild.
This is really getting silly. Attributing someone’s remarks to a candidate is ridiculous. You can’t control the mouth or thoughts of others. We’re getting way off track here and while this may make good headlines we all know it feeds into the stupidity of most people. The news media simply has to be more responsible on what is really news versus nonsense. While we are strapped with high gas prices, a tanking economy, war in Iraq and a whole hosts of other problems the media is fixated on crazy soundbites from any and everyone who calls himself a preacher.
Hopefully, although I doubt it this will go away once we get into the general election campaign as much of this is probably being fueled by the Clinton campaign.
Get a grip. The Obama campaign loves this. Or else they would have apologized to HRC and her supporters. They just distanced themselves from this excuse for a priest. When are you going to get the picture that Obama is one hateful, anti-American, anti-white uber liberal? Sure. Hillary Clinton is responsible for this. She just loves to hear herself called a “white supremecist” by a flaming asshole. You’re a blind sheep, aren’t you? So sorry that you won’t be sacrificed for your hero. Hillary or John McCain. NEVER Obama.
@ KAC
I cannot see why this should be irrelevant? Those are not isolated events people are referring to. That’s the mindset of the people surrounding Obama for years and people are wondering if maybe some of it has rubbed off. You have Ayers who Obama attributes with starting his political career, you have Wright who was his pastor for 20 (!) years, who married him to Michelle and baptized his children and you have his wife who is “proud for the first time” and who talks about the USA like it’s a suburb of Baghdad.
And those connections aren’t made up, those are the people who were closest to Obama in the last 20 years. He chose them, they weren’t forced upon him. And normally you chose people you like and who inspire you as wife or pastor or mentor. Now what does that tell us about Obama himself? No proven facts but that’s not the case because Obama chose to run a personality campaign. And if it’s about personality and character his choices in the past show that he should be getting nowhere near the White House.
Look, there is Howard Dean emerging from his phone booth, tangled in his cape.
