A Very Clear Message From Clinton Supporters:

[BELOW THE FOLD ARE MORE PRESS RELEASES from similar groups -- including A RALLY featuring WomenCount and Count Every Vote ’08 Rally organizers, whose speakers for DNC RBC rally on May 31st are Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Kim Gandy, and others.]

Today, on Fox News’s Neil Cavuto show, Clinton supporter Christi Adkins spoke for millions of us in wanting all the votes — including those of Florida and Michigan — to be counted, particularly since in caucus states, Clinton supporters were already disadvantaged by being unfairly overwhelmed and bullied aside by young Obama-ites who wrested control of precinct and county caucus gatherings (which many hard-working Clinton supporters couldn’t attend because they had to work, care for small children, or were in a hospital or nursing home).

The numbers coming are huge — I’ve heard that three busloads of women just from one part of North Carolina are enroute.

I looked up Christi’s group: “DNC March May 31…All Voices Heard, All Votes Matter

From her press release:

The marchers believe that anything short of counting the votes and seating the delegates, as voted, is a violation of the fundamental civil rights and civil liberties of MI and FL voters, and an affront to us all.

“We must not allow this injustice to occur. Will the DNC party to do to itself what the Republicans did to the entire nation in 2000?

We must make all voices heard and all vote matter–we do so with this Movement March for Michigan and Florida on MAY 31…we do so as the rules committee begins their meetings at 9am,” states Ricki Lieberman, chairman of the group.

This march is sure to generate buzz as the organizers intend to send Bologna sandwiches to the DNC rules committee to let them know that not seating Michigan and Florida is Bologna. The marchers will also send Lemon-Aid to demonstrate the sour taste left in their mouths because of the injustice in Florida and Michigan. And, their are hints of parading a live donkey as a display of the A__ __ the DNC will be should they not seat those two states.

Maybe it is a democratic nation after all! I say, let your voice be heard.

ANOTHER PRESS RELEASE:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WOMENCOUNT PAC responds to Obama campaign’s

accusations of “creating chaos” at Saturday rally

San Francisco, CA May 29, 2008 – WomenCount PAC strongly denounces the Obama campaign’s claim that a planned rally before the DNC Rules Committee on Saturday is intended to “create chaos” and underscores that the event represents voters from more than 30 states gathering to stand up for the future of our country.

“We are coming to fight for a better world for our children and our grandchildren,” said Susie Tompkins Buell, a founding member of WomenCount PAC. “So much is at stake in this election and we will not be accused of creating chaos when we are standing up for the democratic principle that every vote counts.”

WomenCount PAC is a partner in the Count Every Vote ’08 rally planned for Saturday, May 31st at the Marriott Wardman Hotel in Washington, D.C. The goal of the rally is to support the counting of every vote cast in Michigan and Florida.

In issuing this press release, the PAC is reacting to a comment made by Obama campaign manager David Plouffe who told reporters on Wednesday, “We don’t think it’s a helpful dynamic to create chaos” outside of the DNC meeting.

“We invited the Obama supporters to join with us in our efforts. It is Senator Obama who continually speaks for raising our voices together and returning to the core democratic principles that formed this country,” said Karen Feldman, the spokesperson for the Count Every Vote Rally ’08 committee. “Wasn’t it Senator Obama who recently called for a change in Washington DC saying that every voice must count?”

“This is a civil rally aimed at exercising our first amendment right to free speech,” said Rosemary Camposano, communications director for WomenCount PAC. “We believe strongly that the principles of our democracy are being compromised by having lawyers and small groups of people determine the outcome of elections rather than the democratic principal of ‘one person one vote’.”

WomenCount PAC, in addition to supporting other women candidates for Congress in 2008, has endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The rally supports the PAC’s message to continue the political process until every vote is cast and counted.

WomenCount PAC was created to ensure that the 51 percent of American citizens who are women have their values and votes counted in the political process.

RALLY INFORMATION:

WomenCount and Count Every Vote ’08 Rally organizers

announce speakers for DNC RBC rally

May 31st
Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Kim Gandy

and others to speak at rally

San Francisco, CA May 29, 2008 ~ The initial list of speakers for the rally in support of Count Every Vote ’08 in Washington DC is being released. Another 5 to10 speakers and celebrities will be announced one day later.

“We are very excited about the amount of support we are receiving from many prominent elected officials and organization leaders.” announced Karen Feldman of Count Every Vote ’08. “These officials are as committed as we are to seeing that every vote cast in this election is counted fairly and proportionally. They realize how high the stakes are if, once again, millions of voters feel their votes have been disregarded.”

“My entire adult life has been dedicated to registering and inspiring young people to get involved and vote. This is a logical continuation of that work. How can we even think of ignoring 2.4 million voters in an election this close?” commented Jehmu Greene, who has agreed to emcee the rally. “We must move away from the dangerous precedent of allowing small groups of people to determine the outcome of elections.”

The following speakers are planned to address the rally crowd beginning at 9:45am. The event will begin at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel at 7:00am Saturday, May 31st and continue until the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee has announced their decision. A detailed time schedule will be released on Friday as well as 5 to 10 additional speakers and celebrities.
The speakers are:

Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones, OH 11th Congressional District

Congresswoman Corrine Brown, FL 3rd Congressional District

All this we were muscled aside in the caucus states is BS. All it shows is the Clinton team did not have the numbers or the organization to win. All those hard working and hard studying Obama supporters found a way to show up.

And now the Clinton team is trying to use the rules to disenfranchise Texas voters to their advantage so you are not pure either.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-05-30 01:51:19

qwert — I guess Clinton should have bussed in high school kids to fill out her ranks. What exactly do you see in Obama? The man talks about bringing people together but the only ones he seems to bring together are the people who hate the rest of us.

I will happily vote for McCain, real American and a war hero. Go compete with that.

Comment by standard | 2008-05-30 08:47:38

VOTERS, NOT LAWYERS !!!!

In the Chicago, Obama used lawyers to prevent the voters from having a choice. He kept opponents off of the ballot on legal technicalities, and he was the only choice!

Now, he is using lawyers to keep the voters in TWO STATES from the democratic process.

This is undemocratic. This is the worst abuse of lawyers in the history of this country.

LAWYERS EXIST TO SERVE THE CITIZENS, NOT TO RULE THEM!!!!!

OBAMA IS A FASCIST!!!

“All those hard working and hard studying Obama supporters found a way to show up.”

So, you cut class. You’ve probably done it before for a lot less important things than voting.
After you get a job, come back to this forum and let us know if they let you have a day off—with pay—to go vote. I emphasized “with pay”, because after you’re supporting yourself (without your parents footing the bill) that’s the only way you’ll take a day off.

I agree, Lucinda. None of my family could get time off in Nevada to caucus. If it were just a matter of voting, they all could have done it. But with mortgages, elderly parents to support, COLLEGE AGE children to support, they couldn’t take that much time off. And in some cases, their bosses couldn’t afford to let them off. It’s a reality. Clinton’s supporters tend to be older (above the age of 22) and that means we have life to deal with.

Caucuses are unfair. The Democrats need to reform their entire voting system.

You are an absolute disgrace to anything remotely resembling Democracy. Have you though about relocation to say Uzbekistan?

Don’t worry, I have insured that at least my neighborhood will be safe from the Fascist Thugs you Call “Hard Working Obama Supporters”. I have provided doumentation to the Police Captain across the sreet, and to the Country Sheriff 3 houses away. Both these law enforcement officials have agreed that any Obama people should be picked up for plans to foment civil unrest.

qwert,

You do not know what you are talking about, just like your chosen candidate doesn’t. You are both full of nothing but “rhetoric with no substance”. I was at the Texas Caucus and the Obama supporter’s took the Packets as early as 6:30 AM which they were told not to do, They never let go and then when time came to vote they took over the precinct by some of them pushing the people that was suppose to run it across the room to chairs. They called in incorrect totals for Obama instead of correct ones. He actually had 4 delegates and they called in 19 delegates. Some of them ended up spending not only the night but a couple of days in jail, when my 88 year old Mother showed up, who can hardly walk on her walker and not at all and they took her wlaker away from her when she sid she was there to vote for Hillary. They said you are in the wrong place old woman this is an Obama precint you need to go across town. When I saw what was happening I called the police and then I got a big hard plastic bnottle and went through the crowd and hit him with all of the strength my red headed temper could muster. The Police arrived and hauled them off to jail and my Mother was taken to the hospital to make sure she was ok. They are charged with Abuse of the Elderly which in Texas is a very serious charge and I hope that spend a few years in jail, maybe they will learn something!

FREAT PERSON YOU PICKED TO BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT! I CAN UNDERSTAND THOUGH FOR I HAVE NOT MET ONE OBAMA SUPPORTER THAT DOESN’T ACT THAT WAY AND YOUR CANDIDATE ENCOURGES IT WITH ALL OF HIS RACE CRAP HE TRIES TO BLAME ON OTHERS!

Comment by Catriley | 2008-05-30 11:44:43

qwert- I was one of those people muscled aside at my caucus. Apparently by arrogant assholes like yourself. The people who were doing the intimidating at my Washington State caucus were affluent white males, who had the lifestyle that afforded them to be there. The shift workers, the people with small children and family obligations, those with NO transportation, the disabled, the elderly, had no chance.

My caucus location was completely unreachable by public transportation. It had two disabled parking spaces, and all the lot parking (in the small lot) was taken up by able-bodied Obama supporters.

It was a clusterfuck of momentous proportions. Hillary’s signs were removed, I was accosted by Obama supporters. So don’t tell ME that it was a matter of being “outorganized.” I attended the caucus in 2004, as an Edwards supporter. Yes.. the Kerry people were more vocal, BUT it was NEVER NEVER like this. NEVER. You have no fucking idea what you’re talking about.

The 2004 caucus was in a larger venue. It was run by Non-Partisan Democrats. There was order and civility. No one candidate dominated anything. Except for a few loudmouth Kerry supporters, it was largely civil. Had nothing to do with Edwards organization, or Kerry’s organization. The gaming of the 2008 caucuses have EVERYTHING to do with systematic disenfranchising of Clinton supporters, and intimidation by Obama’s followers.

I will never vote for that scumbag and his scumbag followers. Ever.

Comment by so saddened | 2008-05-30 01:39:00

so oblowme doesn’t think it’s “a helpful dynamic.” of course, he doesn’t. counting florida’s and michigan’s votes isn’t helpful - to him!

besides, who put him in charge of deciding what people should and shouldn’t do and what’s helpful or not?

sadly, it’s too late. the harm is done. if florida’s and michigan’s votes had been counted when they happened the oblowme story line pushed by the in-his-pocket msm about his so-called delegate “lead” wouldn’t have happened. and hillary would’ve clinched the nomination by now. but even if they count the votes now, it won’t put her above him, due to the effects of the so-called “lead” on the sd’s and the usefulness of that lie to the msm. so oblowme will get the nomination anyway.

and lose like he deserves to in november.

hillary or mccain. no other option.

Comment by cc | 2008-05-30 06:48:26

so saddened…if hillary pulls off the popular vote…and the pledged becomes tighter…and more negative revelations continue to spill out from bo’s racist campaign - we have plently of time for super d’s to switch back to clinton. and if hillary supporters continue to make their voices heard that we will NEVER support a corrupt, racist and inept candidate like Obama..there is still hope.

Comment by Pittsburgh4Hillary08 | 2008-05-30 08:50:36

I like to think there is always hope. I think she is going to be the nominee but we must continue to take this country back from the Left wing of this party they are going to destroy Americia and Obama wants to turn whites into slaves that is what I heard. I bet he tells his supporters in that church of his I wonder if we should trust him hes so dirty that I bet thats true He really hates whites or why would he want to hang around that church for 20 years.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-05-30 01:45:03

Obama doesn’t believe in creating chaos however, in the next week he will have Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid stop the nomination process from continuing. Gee I had the mistaken belief that the Democrats believed in Democracy. So if you take Democracy from the Democrats you are left with rats.

I think Harry and Nancy are making a big mistake in stopping this process because it will only result in a huge migration away from the Democratic Party. Never in my life have I seen Congressional leaders stop a nomination. In 1980 Teddy Kennedy was 300 delegates behind Jimmy Carter and he fought all the way to the convention. However, this is Hillary and they want her out no matter how bad this looks. They are beyond caring.

Comment by Lisa | 2008-05-30 05:05:21

Nancy Pelosi is a female impersonator.

I have no desire to belong to a party that suppresses free speech and votes.

Comment by Nicole | 2008-05-30 08:19:23

I believe Ted Kennedy was more than 700 delegates behind Carter at the 1980 Democratic convention, which is even more enraging when you consider what the Dem establishment (and the media) are trying to get away with now.

Comment by no pasaran | 2008-05-30 09:35:45

A vote for Obama is a vote for Karl Rove and the Republicans. Obama’s campaign must know about this tactic which proves to me that Obama is a divider and has encouraged the throwing of Hillary and her supporters under the bus.

I’ll vote Nader or not vote this time around.

Comment by Debi | 2008-05-30 09:51:38

If Nancy or anyone stops the race, I will vote, (R) accross the board. If that happens, how are the dem’s any better than the Rep’s? At this piont I don’t think they are, the WY cacaus was a diaster! I know I was there, and all the stories are true! Obama did make sure that all his running mates, were not in the ballot in Chicago, and he’ll do it again if possible. I have no trust in any of the dem leaders (kennedy, richardson, edwards and all the other traditors) anymore. At least I trust Hillary and John McCain.

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-05-30 09:58:15

They can’t stop the process. They can strong-arm people, but she doesn’t have to release her pledged delegates if she doesn’t want to do so. There is nothing they can do about that.

–I imagine Obama followers might show up, wouldn’t be difficult–it IS DC, and Moveon. org might get involved—who knows, and it could appear to be a battle of the wills.

I don’t know though. Just something I imagined.

Love it! The turnout for this will be enormous — let the press try for a media blackout on this one.

Obambi will look like he is guilty of voter suppression. Dick Durbin is furious as are most Michiganders. Floridians are outraged. 2000, anyone?

Can’t wait to hear Axelrod’s response to this…

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-05-30 05:31:21

Kinda funny about media blackout. Will they use this chance to show the Democrats in total disarray and at war with themselves? Or will they try to dismiss any conflict that might damage their darling Obama?

Whichever benefits media is what will ultimately happen. Not what benefits “real” journalism or honest reporting. What was it Gene Lyons said in his column the other day?

The courtiers, courtesans and character assassins of the imperial Washington press deem themselves America’s rightful ruling class.

And so whatever way they “think” things are is the way the event will be covered. I suspect they will be “amused”.

This might be a good time to re-post this for talking points. Why were only 2 states punished, while 3 other states moved their primary dates up also.

http://www.democracyfornewhampshire.com/node/view/5465

Rule 11.A. of the Delegate Selection Rules for the 2008 Democratic National Convention states the following:
11. TIMING OF THE DELEGATE SELECTION PROCESS
A. No meetings, caucuses, conventions or primaries which constitute the first determining stage in the presidential nomination process (the date of the primary in primary states, and the date of the first tier caucus in caucus states) may be held prior to the first Tuesday in February or after the second Tuesday in June in the calendar year of the national convention. Provided, however, that the Iowa precinct caucuses may be held no earlier than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February; that the Nevada first-tier caucuses may be held no earlier than 17 days before the first Tuesday in February; that the New Hampshire primary may be held no earlier than 14 days before the first Tuesday in February; and that the South Carolina primary may be held no earlier than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February. In no instance may a state which scheduled delegate selection procedures on or between the first Tuesday in February and the second Tuesday in June 1984 move out of compliance with the provisions of this rule.

We already know that Florida and Michigan violated Rule 11.A. by moving their primaries to a date before the first Tuesday in February. There is no argument there, but what about Iowa, New Hampshire, and yes, South Carolina too.

Rule 11.A specifically set the date for the primaries & caucuses for those three states as “no earlier than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February” (Iowa), “no earlier than 14 days before the first Tuesday in February” (New Hampshire), and “no earlier than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February” (South Carolina).
Iowa held their caucuses on January 3rd. That’s more than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February. New Hampshire held their primary on January 8th. That’s more than 17 days before the first Tuesday in February. And South Carolina held their primary on January 26th. That’s more than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February.

Under Rule 11.A., five states were in violation of the Democratic National Committee’s Delegate Selection Rules, and as such, all five states should have been punished under Rule 20.C.1.a.

Violation of timing: In the event the Delegate Selection Plan of a state party provides or permits a meeting, caucus, convention or primary which constitutes the first determining stage in the presidential nominating process to be held prior to or after the dates for the state as provided in Rule 11 of these rules, or in the event a state holds such a meeting, caucus, convention or primary prior to or after such dates, the number of pledged delegates elected in each category allocated to the state pursuant to the Call for the National Convention shall be reduced by fifty (50%) percent, and the number of alternates shall also be reduced by fifty (50%) percent. In addition, none of the members of the Democratic National Committee and no other unpledged delegate allocated pursuant to Rule 8.A. from that state shall be permitted to vote as members of the state’s delegation. In determining the actual number of delegates or alternates by which the state’s delegation is to be reduced, any fraction below .5 shall be rounded down to the nearest whole number, and any fraction of .5 or greater shall be rounded up to the next nearest whole number.

Yes, you read that right; under Rule 20.C.1.a., Florida, Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, and South Carolina would have all lost their super delegates and had their pledged delegates reduced by half since they all violated Rule 11.A.

However, Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina weren’t punished fairly. In fact, they weren’t punished at all.
And what about Florida & Michigan?
Well, we all know what happened to them.

Instead of strictly adhering to Rule 20.C.1.a. and reducing their pledged delegates by 50%, the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee decided to take it a step further. The DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee exercised the authority granted to them by Rules 20.C.5. and 20.C.6. which allowed them to “impose sanctions the Committee deems appropriate.” And what were those sanctions the Committee deemed appropriate? Stripping two of the largest states in the union of all their votes at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Ladies & Gentlemen, this is what happens when the rules aren’t applied equally and fairly. And as I said before, this mess is a result of the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee not applying the rules equally and fairly.
So, the next time someone starts talking about the rules, might I suggest two courses of action:

1.) Read the damn rules first!
-and-
2.) Let them know that the rules were bent to allow for Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina to keep their preferred first-in-the-nation status.

BO is tired, fedup that this has gone on for so long, that Hillary would just NOT go away. He is used to eliminating his opponents by “legal mob tactics”….Anderson Cooper FINALLY did a few mins last night on how BO eliminated his opponents in his first race in Chicago, and was left the lone candidate on the ballot. Today, one of them, Alice Palmer works with the Hillary campaign.
They (BO +) studied the system, and figured out how to “beat” it, by using hardball tactics in the caucuses; I am sure they have devised a way to use below the belt tactics on McCain…Axelrod vs Rove in the final bloody battle.

If I lived in a caucus state I wouldn’t want some little pisspot, who cut class while his parents worked to pay for his education, making a decision for ME as to who wins my state. I don’t know what you pisspots think you are going to do on election day. Your busload of harassers would be arrested if you tried anything in a REAL election. You know what a REAL election is don’t you? The stories of the bullying and cheating pulled by Obama people at these caucuses are not only legendary, but they are seriously INDICATIVE of what a slime ball Obama is and what follows him. You all carry a stench with you and you are going to get your asses run through a carwash in November, IF that pig even gets that far before they either cuff him or most of America is reviled by him after watching the Swiftboats on TV.

It is not sour grapes. Barack and Michelle Obama made it clear at the beginning of this primary election that there would never be any combination of an Obama and Clinton ticket that would encompass the entire party. Barack and Michelle Obama made it clear that this would be a winner take all contest and they were not and continute to be uninterested in hearing our voices and working together.

What happens in a winner take all contest is the winner takes all, and the loser packs up and goes home. Barack and Michelle Obama set the rules for this contest. We are just playing by the rules, packing up and going home.

Today Barack Obama said “As I have traveled this country, I’ve been impressed not by what divides us, but by all that unites us” This is another example of an Obama empty statement, Barack and Michelle Obama are not interested in uniting us, Barack and Michelle Obama are only interested in consolidating their power.

I find the idea of an independent candidate HRC very intriguing. If she would take former NY mayor Bloomberg as VP candidate she would firmly base herself in the middle of the political spectrum and push obama to the left and mccain probably out of the picture (and the money would be there, too). This would show crossover appeal and REAL change.

Plus I need to look for my trust fund, I’ve been searching all over the house, but I can’t find any information about where the trust fund is or how I can get a hold of it. I guess I missed a memo. :-)

On a serious note. The DNC website has a contact form on it as well as well as an area to leave blog comments. I would urge everyone you can’t attend the rally to start submitting your wishes to the DNC and make sure they know they are not going to be able to get away with stealing this nomination. You and me both, brother. I sure could use trust fund right now. Unfortunately, I’ve had to work for every penny I have.

I’ve sent plenty of messages to the DNC. If they can’t count the votes from the early primaries, then the only fair thing to do is have a re-vote. Obama could pay for it with all of those surplus millions he’s received from celebrities and rich, white friends with trust funds.

Are you ready for the resulting migration of those voters if the answers to the above are yes?”

Not counting votes is a travesty regardless of the political party perpetrating the travesty. I let them know that as much as it will pain me cross lines and vote for a Republican, I will do so since counting votes is a Democratic fundamental issue. No questions. Period.

SENT TO FOX NEWS THIS MORNING:

How many times, exactly, is your show, especially Alisyn, going to continue to state the Michigan and Florida situation WRONG?

…I know your show will want to correct as I know that FOX is trying to get stories straight as well as be unbiased.

CORRECT VERSION:

The agreement of Michigan and Florida was that the candidates would not CAMPAIGN there. The agreement was NOT to take one’s name OFF the ballot.

Chris Dodd and Hillary Clinton BOTH kept their names ON the ballot and Hillary (& I believe Dodd as well) were interviewed at that time and it is documented that Hillary said in a newspaper interview that the agreement was NOT to insult the people of Michigan by not honoring their vote or their ability to be able to make a choice and vote for the candidate of their choice. She also said at that time that to do something like that – have the names removed and deny Michigan residents the right to vote would be an insult to the people of Michigan – THAT, in the long run, would be detrimental to the Democratic Party in the General Election whoever the candidate may be.

The REASON Obama, Richardson and Edwards took their names off the ballot in Michigan was for political strategizing ONLY. They were all 3 losing to Clinton at that time, in that state – badly – and they didn’t want the negative momentum going into the other races, especially Iowa. IT IS JUST THAT SIMPLE.

Your show keeps acting like Hillary is trying to pull a quick one – but why should her win in Michigan be trashed just because Obama CHOSE ,of his own free will, to remove his name in a whim of political strategizing which backfired on him? Why should HILLARY have to pay that price?

Why was Obama’s name left ON the Florida ballot if the agreement had been to remove one’s name? Obama ran 2 weeks of non-stop commercials in Florida, he spent millions of dollars there and there were even rallies orchestrated at his campaign’s complete instruction & orchestration…Obama still lost.

If you want to talk about selfish & self serving – think about it – Richardson, Edwards and Obama didn’t CARE about the damage that they were doing to the Democratic party in Michigan by, of their own volition, removing their names – they only cared about their standing in the race. They didn’t care one whit that by removing their names they caused the whole state (of Michigan’s) Democratic election to basically be termed null and void, thereby stirring an enormous amount of anger in the Michigan Democratic race.

Of course Hillary kept her name ON the ballot – she was winning – but you must admit - Richardson, Edwards and Obama, for their own self interests, DISTORTED the agreement for their own political purposes and FOX AND FRIENDS keeps acting like HILLARY is doing something underhanded – you need to look at Richardson, Edwards and Obama and since it’s obvious on your show you don’t like Hillary, then look at Dodd – why was his name still ON the ballot?

Obama has a history of doing this type of less than ethical behind the scenes moves – look at his handiwork in arranging it so he single-handedly removed every single name OFF THE BALLOT in Illinois so that he was able to walk right into the Illinois State Senate UNOPPOSED.

* One other mention – Alisyn keeps making sarcastic asides about Hillary staying in the race – Alisyn is acting like Hillary shouldn’t or doesn’t have the right to take her campaign to the convention – as though Hillary is doing something really strange and odd – SHE IS NOT.

THAT IS A FALSE PERCEPTION THAT YOU ARE GIVING YOUR VIEWERS & I THINK IT IS BENEATH YOU. I EXPECT THAT DISTORTION AND MISREPRESENTATION FROM MSNBC and CNN, but I sincerely hoped FOX was BETTER than spewing out regurgitated BS:

1980 Ted Kennedy trailed Jimmy Carter by 750 delegates – he took his campaign to the Convention.

1984, Gary Hart and Walter Mondale split the season’s primaries & caucuses. Even though Mondale locked up the Superdelegates b/f the campaign season even began, Gary Hart took his campaign to the convention.

1988 Jesse Jackson finished the primary season 1400 delegates BEHIND Dukakis – Jackson carried his campaign to the convention.

1992 Jerry Brown only received 600 delegates – he took his campaign to the convention.

1976 Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford - neither secured enough delegates to win - Reagan won less primaries and Ford had the plurality of the popular vote, but …Ronald Reagan carried his campaign to the Republican Convention.

NO ONE CRUCIFIED THESE MEN EVERY DAY & NIGHT IN THE MEDIA FOR THEIR “AMBITION” AND NO ONE SAID THEY WERE “DESTROYING THE PARTY” – THEY, IN FACT, WERE ADMIRED FOR THEIR GUMPTION AND CONVICTIONS. Whether you like Hillary or not – this is a big part of WHY women are so angry – “it’s the double standard”.

CNN did a story last night on Obama’s first political race in Chicago - I put it on YouTube in case you missed it and are interested:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZnlKC5vpyY

I call it: Obama’s unscrupulous grab for power started in 1996

What lurks behind the false message of hope, change and a new politics ain’t so pretty - in fact it’s pretty scary and a harbinger of things to come.

In 1996 Obama and a team of lawyers eliminated all his rivals from the ballot including incumbent Alice Palmer - allowing him to run unopposed.

Dirty tactics is what Obama is all about - race baiting, organized caucus intimidation, and lies about everything from Nafta to what he knows about his own church and his own close friends.

Chuck Todd just told us for roughly the 700th time in the past month that “the math” doesn’t work for Hillary and even though “the Clintons” appointed many of the unelected SDs, these SDs “will soon feel more comfortable defying the Clintons…”

I’m so sick of this shit. I’m so sick of the media taking sides in trying to decide an election by putting ONLY Obama supporters on to discuss it. I’m so sick of the screams for Hillary to Just Get Out. I’m so sick of the “Democratic” party leadership working to deny people their votes so they can crown the candidate of their choice….

Did you guys hear Eugene Robinson on MSNBC last week? “Obama shouldn’t take the DNC’s advice on a running mate; after all, if it was up to them, he wouldn’t even be the nominee…” More of the “Obama is the upstart outsider defeating the ‘inevitable Hillary’” bit again. Later in the same show, Robinson alluded to Obama “going over the heads of the politicians and winning this contest by going directly to the people.” It made me sick.

Another DNC member was a guest on Bill Press’s show the other day. After repeatedly telling us that he was “undecided” between Obama and Hillary, he ended his visit by snarking “well, Michigan and Florida didn’t have ‘real’ elections…”

This is not my party anymore. Whoever is in charge of it is welcome to the disaster they’ve created. But they’ll go there without me.

OT, but speaking of the DNC, and Dean:

Rezkowatch, Marathon Pundit and Bill Baar mentioned, again, Alex Giannoulias, IL State Treasurer, in conjunction with Rezko, and Obama.

(It was Giannoulias’ Broadway Bank bank from which Rezko drew the NSF checks made to the Las Vegas casinos, to cover gambling debts).

Obama even went against the IL democratic party to get Giannoulias elected.

Giannoulias, the IL state treasurer, is suspected of being tied to the mafia. And Alex, in control of directing ALL that money…(sigh).

Howard Dean, WTH are you supporting this POS Obama?

It’s all Greek to me…

hehheh.

Sorry…

Hastert took money from the Turks, right?

But isn’t there also some sort of Greek equivalent to AIPAC?

As such, don’t expect much from the traditional process.

But keep fighting, because it is making a difference, just in a non traditional manner.

Make new traditions.

Obama asking his supporters to NOT participate in this event or calling this event a disruption should be told everywhere. Doesn’t it mean he is proclaiming loudly and clearly that not all votes count? How is that democratic? Making this a (crazy) Clinton supporters event will backfire on him. The least he can do to not hurt himself, if that is possible, is to stay silent.

Comment by pm317 | 2008-05-30 08:01:58

This is NOT sour grapes or sore losers. All we wanted was fairness and justice and we did not get it. Think of
1. the media bias
2. sexism
3. race baiting
4. disrespect towards us and our candidate
5. absence of vetting of the other candidate (which if done, would have indicated all kinds of inadequacies that we have found the hard way)
6. intrusion of party elites into the democratic process to prop up their own candidate in plain view of our concerns
7. lack of DNC leadership in MI and FL, two states we need to win

Bottom line, they are not thinking how to win in November and trying to silence those of us who want to. They want us to be like sheep and follow them because of party unity (Read Anglachel’s beautiful essay on Legutimacy not Unity).

The woman on Cavuto was weak. I wish they are better prepared.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-30 08:11:15

I have an idea that as prepared as you think you may be, between the delay coming into your ear and the strangeness of the environment, it isn’t that easy to have all of your talking points addressed.

I thought she accomplished one thing that was visual … not all of HRC’s supporters are unattractive middle aged uneducated white women. She left a favorable impression and was articulate. That is all you can ask of someone not accustomed to this format. Just my two cents ….

Comment by pm317 | 2008-05-30 09:46:34

No, I agree with you. It is not a format an everyday person is trained for. But still certain lines and ideas are standard and known to have maximum impact and could be repeated without thinking too much. Like that thing about rules..”that we are not doing this just because we are Hillary’s supporters but because counting votes is everything in a Democracy..”

Comment by bart | 2008-05-30 08:03:36

He missed the point when he asked her about “sour grapes.” No one is bound to vote for for a democrat or republican simply because of party label. Saying she was going to vote for McCain simply because of “sour grapes” ignores the fact that she has reasons to vote for a candidate other than the label “democrat.”

You’d think that would be a GOOD thing in a voter.

Comment by John | 2008-05-30 08:11:28

I think that was the presumption of the Obamabots all along- that they could treat the rest of us like shit, but we’d come crawling back because after all, we are “Democrats” and we can’t vote for “McSame!” I mean, “think of the Supreme Court! Hillary and Obama basically agree on everything! Do you want a Hundred Years in Iraq?”

And now they are stamping their feet and tearing their hair out because we aren’t going along like good little sheep.

In the Washington Post the other day, there were two letters to the editor, both pro-Obama (this is one of the reasons I don’t buy it anymore; the bias was just too much.) One letter said “the reason most of us are for Obama is because for some reason he inspires us…”

For some reason. It’s just “a feeling.”

I don’t support Hillary “for some reason” I can’t explain. I support her because she’s the most qualified, experienced, intelligent and articulate person for the job. She’s not someone who came out of nowhere four years ago and “captured my heart.”

These zombies make me sick.

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-05-30 10:05:38

I agree. They gloried in demonizing the Clintons, thinking there would absolutely no consequences. Obama fed the fire from Day 1 with his Reagan speech. He continued by insulting the Clintons in major addresses throughout the campaign. He stoked it more with his sexist comments that got laughs and jeers just like his preachers do in the church. He had his surrogates saying horrible things.

And they are now shocked that we’re going to walk?

The stupidity of this tactic was the surest reason to NOT vote for Obama as I can think of. Overkill is not good judgment.

meanwhile, back in Chicago, we await the verdict of the Rezko

scandal at City Hall (run by Obama supporter Daley whose
consultant Axelrod is chief staffer for Obama)…..the
Building Department where multiple officials were
indicted for a series of bribes for construction greasing.
Is this what we want to bring to the national scene?

thank god there is a huge effort underway to get all the
votes counted. Plouffe should know about creating chaos…
the Weather Underground and SDS supporters of Obama,
Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Marilyn Katz, these people
created lots of chaos for this country. counting the
votes is the right thing to do not a mob controlling
America like they wanted and want again.

I am a woman in my 60’s, and I have done hours and hours of homework to learn about the different candidates running for the Democratic presidential nominee. Over a year ago, I chose to support Barack Obama.
Let me tell you, I really resent a group that claims to represent me because they say they represent the 51% of the electorate who are women. I did not live my life and break through glass ceilings myself to arrive at a place where my own judgment and hard won wisdom would be sneered at, and where my choice of nominee would be ridiculed. It feels shameful to me to be demographically lumped into a category of women who are demonstrating the immature reasoning which I am reading in these comments.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-30 08:24:55

Rock on. That is why this is (still) America.

But don’t you come here saying you’re “ashamed” to be lumped with us, sister. We did our research. If you want to be associated with the “hate America first” crowd, you have at it. Me, I always feel rather proud of my red white and blue heritage … so why don’t you take your obama pride to a site that agrees with you and leave us HRC supporters in peace? That way you can maintain your ignorance and we can get on with making sure he never sits any where near the Big Desk. How’s that for a deal?

Comment by D | 2008-05-30 08:40:28

I didn’t do the lumping that is inaccurate. Here is the lumping of me [and millions of other women who support Obama] into a category that certainly is not reflecting our values and votes. According to your response, you could care less about we women who don’t agree with your position:

“WomenCount PAC was created to ensure that the 51 percent of American citizens who are women have their values and votes counted in the political process.”

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-30 08:46:19

Senator Clinton has received more popular votes than Senator Obama. Does that mean anything to you? Not in caucus states where her supporters were bullied by young people bussed in to do the dirty work, but in states where people early voted, stood in lines and expressed their preferences. Do you get the picture? When asked, voters prefer her and her policies for America. So don’t come here and tell us that we are some lunatic fringe. There are more of us than there are of YOU. And in November — if the DNC persists in putting a 46 year old no experienced fiction writer on the ballot against a two decade serving war hero, I promise you that I will vote for the latter. And. As a Democrat for all of my 40+ voting years, I will not be alone.

D,

Another ‘Rock on!’ from me. This is a democracy and you are entitled to your choice. Too bad Obama and his supporters don’t understand this. That you do, count yourself lucky.

But don’t come here sneering in my face because I did my research too:

No Universal Healthcare - absolute deal breaker for me

Privatizing Social Security - ditto

Foreign Polixy experience - zilch

Ties with Zibiniew Breszinksi - gives me hives

Hope and change? Still waiting for a specific interpertation of what that means.

Black Community issues? - “crickets”

Obama has lied about so many things I will never believe anything he says. And I have a list.

Please post your list of Hillary Clinton’s lies and we’ll have a point-by-point discussion. ( Please be advised that Bosnia counts for only one ‘lie.’)

In the meantime, don’t get in my face with a superior attitude about how you are ashamed of women. That you’ve accepted all the misogyny coming out of the Obama campaign and the msm leaves me with only one reply:

RIGHT BACK AT YOU!

Hmmm, if you researched both candidates fully, and only THEN came to the conclusion that you would support Obama over Hillary, than there’s no hope for you. You clearly have some weird bias that prevents you from seeing the truth.

Perhaps you’d feel more comfortable at the Daily Kos or Huff’n'Puff sites.

Then, I think it’s time for a refresher course.

“It feels shameful to me to be demographically lumped into a category of women who are demonstrating the immature reasoning which I am reading in these comments.”

If anyone is lumping you into a category, it’s the Obama-supporting news media who keep saying that the majority of Hillary’s supporters are women over 60. Write a letter to MSNBC and ask them to correct that assumption. I don’t think anyone here is lumping people into any categories with the exception of people who support Hillary and people who don’t.

Dear D

No one lumped you but yourself!

As a 33 yr flight crew of one of the airlines involved on 9/11 I can tell you that this present President called we flight attendants “stewardesses” shortly after 9/11 when he addressed us in Chicago..this after several of our Male co-workers ..also ” Flight Attendants” were murdered…in the two + hour flight he took from Washington to Chicago ..he couldn’t figure out that in 1972 we ceased being stewardesses and became flight attendants..because we were both female and male flight crew.

Now i see pictures of Obama , your chosen one on a flight ..the story was about him wearing jeans..but the picture was taken “IN_Flight” and Obama is on his cell phone..as is another reporter in the picture..well darlin..that is a FAA rules violation..even on a charter flight. I looked at the face of the Flight Attendant behind Obama and she looked none to happy.

Here you have the guy running for the white house..and he is committing a FAA violation mid air..

Now if he doesn’t give a rats ass about tha safety of the passengers on his charter flight..i can’t make him be responsible for them..but i damn sure am none to happy about being a citizen under his aircraft!

The flight crew should have taken his damn phone away..and he should have been sanctioned by the FAA after being turned in by that crew.

At the same time ..same day was a report of a man who got a $25,000.00 fine for using his cell phone mid air ..against the FAA regs..

go figure!!

I went through the years of mini skirts, and go-go boots…and hot pants..I
worked through the years of “Coffee Tea Or Me”
..and had assholes grab my crotch while doing oxygen demonstrations ..i went through all the years demanding being treated as the professionals we are..only to have one idiot president fail my co-workers, and those innocent lives on the ground…he failed the Flying public, and the profession of flight crew world wide.. and he failed your national security..

I will not now, nor ever sit back and allow that to happen again..not as an american and not as a now retired flight crew, and not as a human being.

If you are willing to accept the inexperience of Obama so be it..but don’t blame me when what is left of this once great nation totally goes into the toilet! And more and more of your fellow Americans die because another idiot was put into the white house!

Persoanlly i will never ever vote for Obama..he is too young..hell he just bought his first home not long ago..and had to have a sugar daddy to do so..and you want this guy in my white house??????????

get outta here..and let the responsible portion of the dem party fix your damn messes..we will not allow that ignut near our white house.

I won’t stand for it.

I do not want to have a damn beer with the president or a President who gives out Ipods to get high school age and college age kids to caucus for him..no thanks..

i want a president who has the knowledge to put only the best people in responsible positions..

hell this guy doesn’t even u nderstand seperation of power..go read Talk left and see what this bozo proposes for fixing our consitution when he thinks he is going to take power..

go do some reading about this idiot ..he is someone’s creation..and i have had about enough of a manufactured presidency.

now go the fuck away..go play with the other idiots who only want a hopey changey president..i want a responsible one with experience!

Fly, delurking to type “excellent rebuttal”.
BTW, I don’t think the person you are responding to is what he/she claims to be. As a 59 year old woman, I would never make a comment like that, even on a blog where I had been lurking since inception, as I have been on NQ.
It appears that the latest tactic is to pretend to be a member of one of the demographical groups that O has insulted, and claim that he is the greatest. That way, the rest of us “old ladies” will rethink, cause you know, 60 is old, and ladies have such mutable minds.
Back to lurking - I have to rewire the overhead light fixture, cut and install the moulding and baseboards, and repair the wood rot in the window in my guest bedroom. When I’m finished, guess I’ll sit, watch soap operas and crochet a vest for my elderly sister, who is 63 and still active as a local politician.

Thanks, Fly and HT! I smell a rat/troll…and when it looks like a troll and smells like a troll…(to quote someone else on this blog) scrape it off your shoe.

I don’t think “D” is a “woman in her 60’s” either. I was watching Carole King on Tavis Smiley’s show last night (two of my favorite people on TV at the same time!) and she made me think of Hillary. These two strong, smart, talented women in their 60’s who’ve accomplished so much in their lives and have so much more to give! Because all the women in their 60’s that I know are the most talented, hard-working go-getters of all my friends…they’re women I aspire to be. No, even a “woman in her 60’s” who was naive enough to vote for Obama wouldn’t make a comment like that. Because I know a woman in her 70’s who voted for Obama, and her outlook on life is much simpler and more oblivious than that. The kind of attitude I expect from someone like, say, Claire McCaskill (yuck!).

Comment by Catriley | 2008-05-30 12:02:34

Yeah, D, I’m pretty curious how someone could spend hours and hours researching the candidates and choose Obama. As of yet, I have never seen any Obama supporter give issue-specific reasons for supporting him. In the past year Obama and his associates have given enough material for any reasonable person to conclude that he is not what people choosing him (based on his books and speeches) thought he was.

I had to laugh at my State party chair, a SD, who wrote that he chose Obama “after careful consideration based upon reading his books and hearing some of his speeches” Not his record, not his integrity, not his associations, not his experience.. but two fictionalized books and some speeches other people wrote for him.

Is that the experience you cite? Other people’s words that he recites? Does it not concern you that he is tight with the likes of Rezko (that guy on trial for corruption and such?), or those toxic pastors? Or perhaps his bff from Broadway Bank (the bank 9 out of 10 mobsters prefer in Chicago?) His lack of a paper trail from his State Senate days?

Or maybe it was how he suddenly found enough $$$ to hire an expensive law team to throw all of the challengers off the ballot when he ran for State Senator, by paying for a team of researchers to pore through every name on the (female) challenger’s petitions. Maybe it was that incident that sealed the deal for you.

Maybe it was Penny Pritzker, the Subprime Queen of Superior Bank, as his finance director. Or maybe his top donors like Exelon (who Axelrod worked for) that got Obama’s help with skirting responsibility for their actions.

Or maybe it was his white grandmother… who was tossed under the bus in order to quell the fuss over his racist pastor… that same pastor that was tossed under the bus with granny when polling revealed it was politically expedient to cut ties.

Could it be all those things that made you fall for Obama? Cuz it sure the hell couldn’t be anything that had to do with women’s issues.

NBC: Dems’ ‘magic number’ will be 2,118 or 2,131

The current magic number — 2,026, which doesn’t include any Florida or Michigan delegates because as of now the states have been stripped of their convention voting rights because their primaries were held earlier than party rules allowed — will rise to either 2,118 or 2,131 because it’s most likely the two states’ will get back only about half of their votes/delegates. The fine points that will determine the exact magic number will depend a lot on how Florida and Michigan’s superdelegates are treated.

Both of First Read’s estimates are well below the 2,210 that the Clinton campaign has been pushing for. And either number would put Obama within a couple dozen delegates of the nomination after all the primaries are over — a gap he might be able to quickly bridge with new endorsements from superdelegates.

Argus Leader (South Dakota) endorses the next POTUS: Hillary Clinton!!

http://www.argusleader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080530/VOICES01/805300306/-1/voices01

Editorial: Clinton is top candidate for Dems

Editorial Board • Argus Leader • May 30, 2008

For the first time in memory, every state will play a role in choosing a nominee for the nation’s highest office.

Some of those parts are small, but not ours: as one of the last two primary elections, South Dakota Democrats suddenly and improbably find themselves in a starring role.

That’s an unlikely turn of events, as our state has improbably become a battleground in the long, hard race between two Senators seeking a spot at the top of the Democratic ticket: Barack Obama of Illinois and Hillary Clinton of New York.

The process feels similar at times, but the goal of a primary election is different from the race voters will decide in November. Our endorsement also is different. We will judge the candidates in this fall’s general election when that time comes.

Obama could certainly become one of those candidates in the days ahead - at the time of this writing, his mathematical advantage is considerable. His appeal also is clear, and his campaign has been strong.

But Clinton is the strongest Democratic candidate for South Dakota.

Her mastery of complex policy detail is broad and deep, and her experience as a senator and former first lady matches that.

Measured against her opponent, Clinton is philosophically more moderate. That is likely a good thing for South Dakota.

Clinton’s energy policy is forward thinking and wise. She advocates a broad federal research initiative to help solve our looming oil crisis. It’s a plan that would join university researchers, private industry and individual inventors behind a common goal.

Is ethanol part of the answer? Clinton believes it is but not necessarily corn ethanol.

That is not precisely the answer South Dakota wants to hear. Corn-based ethanol has been a boon for farmers here. But the simple fact is that she probably is correct. Advances in cellulosic ethanol technologies could render corn ethanol obsolete and wasteful. Happily, South Dakota is poised to be a major player in the push to experiment with other kinds of ethanol.

Clinton has demonstrated a real commitment to Native American issues and will have visited several South Dakota reservations before the race is over. Clinton is precisely correct when she says that people outside the region have a poor understanding of the troubling trends on our reservations. Federal attention could help. That includes but is not limited to higher-ranking posts in the federal bureaucracy.

Her truly universal health care plan would be welcomed by thousands of South Dakotans. Even on reservations, where health care is nominally universal already, such a plan would be welcome. The federal government would never be allowed to subject everyday Americans to the kind of care Native Americans living on reservations routinely receive.

Obama is justifiably credited as a powerful speaker, but Clinton holds her own easily. As those who have attended her South Dakota rallies can attest, she is quick on her feet and energetic. She frames her ideas clearly in speeches and answers questions with genuine directness.

Her resilience and determination never should be questioned. She has met or overcome every challenge or roadblock in her way, and there have been many. Her determination to carry the nomination process through to its real conclusion has perhaps earned her a grudging respect from those who would never support her.

Clinton might not win this race. In fact, it’s a long shot. But whatever some might say, the race is not over, and her name is on the ballot. Win or lose, she’s also the best Democratic candidate for South Dakota.

Hello Susan,

Great Post,

I came across this site in search of some common sense in the country. I am in my 40s, and I came to this country 14 years ago, and got my citizenship very recently, I come from a country in the middle east where elections as fixed. We have worked very hard to become american citizens here, not just because of the many opportunities available here, BUT also because this country is seen as the beacon of true principles of democracy in the world.

I studied Jefferson, Adams, Washington, enough though as that point it was not my history, and was truely inspired by the greatness and humbleness of this country’s birth.

Yesterday, after seeing this phfler’s comments, for the first time since getting my citizen, I was wondering and thinking do I really still want to be a citizen of this country?

I can always give up my citizenship and move back to my country of birth. The realisation shocked me..b/c when you want to come to this country…you have to wait a long time in line at the american embassy to get a visa. It takes a LONG time to become a citizen here.

But to me, this country is starting to look like it is going down the same path as my country of birth.

I do not believe the US b/c of the undemocratic practices of the democratic party believes in or will fight for democracy. After all, no one is saying a word about it now.

I no longer have faith that the US has any moral authority to lecture other countries on the virtues of democracies… after all they seem to stay silent…and that silence is deafening.

thank you again for the post.

I look forward to reading more from this site.

Comment by spamccensor | 2008-05-30 10:00:19

But tim, we’re not staying silent.

It still IS the US.

I think guys like Obama, and Dean and Rezko can’t see the bigger picture, this type of political practice has been going on for a while, I would venture, it just got too dirty, over the last 20 years.

So, do they want it cleaned up?

Why do people keep saying that we will come over and vote Obama/Marxist? I assure you I would rather cut my index finger off than push the button for Obama/Marxist.

NO OBAMA/MARXIST
HILLARY OR MCCAIN 2008

I wonder if the media will play the “America is raping blacks” or is that too much for them - I say they should show it and the first part of the priests sermon and not just focus on the Hillary part because the part about raping America is much worst.

EVERYONE!! The best thing we can do right now is contribute to HillaryClinton.com. She’s running a 2 for 1 campaign so each dollar you contribute will be matched by 2. Obambi spent more money in April than he took in (the first time). We need Hillary to be able to announce a big money number for May on Monday to go along with the big Puerto Rico win. As time goes on Obambi gets weaker and Hillary gets stronger with our strong support. Even $5.00 helps a lot. EVERYONE CONTRIBUTE!!!!

Thank you Christi for speaking for us.

I hope Sen Clinton finally realizes that the DNC has been disrespecting her, turn her back on them and run as an Independent.

I don’t want to waste my vote on either Mcain or the radical, cultist and sexist Obama.

Thank you, brave people. I love hearing your personal stories. Ms. fly, your posts bring tears to my eyes.

I haven’t felt so inspired since my college years in the 1970’s. We are strong and we will prevail.

i think something needs to be brought out here. we are giving far too much credit to nobama and axie. look the democratic leadership has been in the no good zone for quite sometime. we had hopes in 06 but what have they done for us since then. the answer is not one damx thing. what have they done to us is the better question. so take a look at a group of insiders who use us, use our votes and don’t give a rat’s axx about us. vote accordingly!

BTD at Talk Left is live blogging the Clinton conference call. He writes:

“Flourtnoy just conceded the argument. Clinton is now arguing that there can be no more than a 50% seating of the Florida and Michigan delegations.”

WTF????

I too was in Texas during the caucus’. I took my Mother and father to vote, then later that night I took then to the Local school for the caucus. I waqlked away to get a bottle of water for my Mother when a Young, tall AA walked up to my dad and asked him why he was there. My father, a Vet of Korea and Vietnam looked at this punk and told him to go to hell. He grabbed my Dad and started to pull him away from the table where he was to sign in as I walked up. Now I am 6′2″, 290 and a former Bodybuilder. I have been told by some that I am an intimidating sort of fellow. lol..”One big Injun”!

Anyway as I walked up I told this punk to get his hands off my father or I would rip his throat out! He took a look at me and walked away. I noticed that as the night wore on, more and more people came and sat next to us as they too were being bullied by these punks! And another thing. I know a texas accent when I hear one and some of these punks were not TEXANS!

Anyway…..we called the police, my mother wanted this reported..They told us they could not help us as they could not find the “OFFENDER”! This happened ALL NIGHT, so dont tell me that there wasn’t any Bullying going on.I SAW IT AND LIVED IT!

Thank you for reaffirming one of the main reason I won’t vote for Obama. If that’s the kind of people who support him, then I know I belong on the other side. There’s something wrong with a man who attracts that kind of fanaticism.
