Not necessarily that any of these candidates is any more sincere deep down than another, but it’s like the longer you talk, over the years, the less able you are to speak from the gut, and the more you have to clear it with your head. Christopher J. Ward, long a trusted financial figure in Republican circles, funneled money belonging to the National Republican Congressional Committee and covered up his scheme by faking external audit reports between 2002 and 2006.
Representative Michael K. Conaway of Texas, the new head of the N.R.C.C.’s audit committee discovered Mr. Ward’s actions in late January. After Mr. Ward repeatedly put off meetings with auditors, he admitted that no audits had been performed.
An external audit has finally been performed, by Covington & Burling with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the N.R.C.C. released a summary of the findings today.”

I would like to find a way to bring more people into it, via the Internet aspect. Very few people actually know these strong pro-Hillary anti-Obama blogs exist. They must feel even more powerless than we do. It would be good to spread the word about these blogs to as many people as you can.
I called my local Congressman and told his office about a few of them, so they would know the level of the passion and anger. They don’t hear it on the media and it would be impossible for us to email them often enough for them to understand fully. So inform them of the blogs, let them read to understand.

I am beginning to despair as to when the mourning period will be over. Frankly there should be none because Hillary is likely to play an important role in the change process. She will not be POTUS, or probably VP, but she certainly will have an important role to play. Cheer up! All is not lost.

The biggest untold story of the Dem primary has been Obama’s strategy to circumvent the base with caucus wins in states which no Democrat can carry in November, the media’s complicity in building his perceived momentum out of that, and the resultant effect that this had upon the popular vote. I would also say that it is a rather consequantial story if a candidate intends to slough off one of the two major parties’ base.

No.. considering the tape is in the hands of various people, seemingly unrelated, it’s not doctored. A doctored tape is easy to spot as it shows up mysteriously to ONE person, and they post it or give it to the media. Like Wright or Pfleger’s sermon tapes, many people have them.
Unrelated people are in possession of the tape, or have seen it. IF it was a doctored tape, trust me.. it would have been released by now. They would not be showing it around clandestinely.
I was the first to suggest doctoring. No, I am not a troll: I simply know of instances in the past where such things have taken place. I also suggested a motive for someone to do that sort of thing in this case.

I like your theory. Also, Hannity bought all the Church tapes and last week he said there will be a scandal which will break this nomination wide open. I believe they have decided to release the tape now with McCain’s permission because by October Obama will have innoculated himself against it by saying — the Clintons are out to get me blah blah. Also, its becoming more and more obvious that Obama doesn’t just have supporters he has a cult who wants to disrupt the Democratic Convention. I think McCain had decided he would rather this nomination be fought against a known ally in the Senate then this unknown quantity.

I hope the video is real. I’m skeptical enough that I think Father Fpleger’s sermon last Sunday at Trinity was actually planned ahead of time by Obama and his campaign. Why? First of all, some priests were removed, but only after many, many people complained, and then the priests were moved to other parishes, sometimes several. Settlements were paid, but usually after lawsuits and legal wrangling involving much pain and humiliation for the victims. How many priests can you name that have gone to prison for child rape? One, maybe two? Most of these cases are settled quietly and the priests are protected and “retired”.

Considering his mother is white and he was brought up by her and his white grandparents, I think you are overreacting to the brown pigment in his skin. In the Roman Catholic Church Tradition holds equal weight to Scripture in the development of the theology. The oldest written form of the Mass ( except for the Diache ) dates to before 236 AD. I have 2 suggestions for people as disgusted by the democratic Party as I am should the pre-ordained nomination go to Obama:
1) While it may be too late for Hillary Clinton to run as an Independent in some states, please don’t forget that there are other parties that may already have filed for space on your state’s ticket (ie: Liberal, Working Families, Green, etc.). Find one and figure out what it will take to have Senator Clinton as their nominee, then let everyone in your state know how they can still vote for her in November. They will be thrilled to have wide-spread support and publicity for their party.
2) When voting for down-line candidates, DO NOT ever vote for them as a democrat; select them on any other party line. In most states, the party with the most votes gets placement at the top of the ballot so let’s be sure the the “New” democrats never get that placement again. If you support a state/local candidate, make sure they know you will not vote for them on the dem line so they ask for the support of another legit party and you can vote them in. BTW - this strategy also will work for Republicans who are unhappy with their party’s behavior of late…
Please feel free to share/post these suggestions with anyone and everyone. The America we love is disappearing right before our eyes. This fight is over more than a candidate - it is about our way of life and the Constitutional right to vote. Do not let your voice be silenced!

Question: How many of you are christian and do you have a church home? If so, do you attend church regularly and if so, what is the average number of hours a typical sunday service will last? I am a christian (but im far from perfect), I have a church home and service last on average 2 hrs per service, per Sundays.
Now, If I attend church every Sunday for 20 years, that would be a total of 1040 (20 yrs * 52 weeks) but since I do not attend every sunday…maybe I say on average twice a month, then my total would be 480(20 yrs * 24 weeks). At two hours a vist that would make my total hours…say 960 hours. Since preachers rarely every Sunday, I would hear my preacher’s message say 80% of the time; thats (960*.8) 768 hours of preaching I am exposed to which is 32 total days in 20 years (2.4%) Since a preacher’s message varies…the frequency of hearing the same message for 20 years would be miniscule.
I know you all know where Im going with this. It is a fallacy to protray Barack Obama as sitting in a church for 20 years, every Sunday, listening to the same message. It is a fallacy to assume this church teaches hate/seperation. Yes he was a member of 20 years, yes some contraversial remarks were made in this church by Rev. Wright, but to what frequency? I’m a McCain supporter, so my 1st impulse is to hope that Obama clinches the nomination as expected, because his McGovern-ism and condescension toward large swaths of the electorate make him easier to beat than Clinton.
But another part of me hopes Clinton can pull it out, because it offends my sense of justice that a man who is essentially a con-artist with no resume should get the nomination of a major American political party.

I have been a Democrat longer than Hillary and if she endorses BO she will lose my respect and my vote. This is not about Obama anymore. This is about the pillaging of the party. The DNC are corrupt and MUST be purged. No other outcome is acceptable.

Although Hillary may feel she must do that to unite the party (I don’t fault her for that), it should be remembered that the classless Obama and his wife Michelle made it clear in several interviews that they would have to think about supporting Hillary.
Every time I remember how badly Obama has behaved (public snubbing her at the State of the Union, saying she is “likeable enough”, suggesting his supporters wouldn’t necessarily back her, giving her the middle finger at a rally, etc., etc.,), I want to kick his ass, I’m so outraged. How dare this man treat her this way! Neither he nor his wife can fully represent all Americans, and they have no business bein anywhere near the White House.
If Hillary endorses Obama we all know what that means and it will not in my book damage her credibility….She has fought a good fight…She has a senate seat and Democrats in NY to represent…Unlike Obama she has the capacity to place principles before personalities otherwise how could she work with Gingrich to pass legislation ?
She is a GROWNUP….AND WILL BEHAVE LIKE ONE….I still won’t vote for Obama….But I admire her and her capacity to really reach out for change…

As of yesterday, any votes for Obama are votes for “one person = one half vote.” There is nothing more important than “one person = one vote.” Not the war … not the economy … nothing. If we lose “one person = one vote,” we are lost for this and all future elections. Our Democracy becomes a mutation. Yesterday, the Democratic Party showed its arrogance by giving Obama 4 of Hillary’s Michigan delegates and, most important of all, by shattering “one person = one vote” and throwing a bone to Hillary supporters with the new equation: “one person = one half vote.” The Democratic Party no longer stands for Democracy. You now have Chicago Style Democratic Party … and it has always stood for corruption. Do not forget JFK “won” the 1960 election with the help of a cemetery in Cook County, controlled by Richard Dailey, father of Chicago’s current mayor and center of the bi-partisan corruption that funnels Illinois taxpayers’ money into many, many pockets, including Fr. How does one get the conviction to say such a thing without worrying about jinxing it? Someone had to have told Obama he would be POTUS. I just don’t know who or why? Even one guy at the rules hearing who supported Hillary had fear in his eyes.

I have to say, I knew about the whole Trinity thing a year ago.. but then, and before then, Obama basically seemed like a relatively decent guy who had come out of nowhere.
I’m not a Democrat by any strech of the imagination - I’m a small-L libertarian. But while I didn’t much care for Obama’s policy choices, it looked like I could respect him as a man and, just maybe, count on him to honestly put his position out there.
Ha, right. His bungling of the Trinity thing was a disappointment; I can understand the initial decision to join them, but his subsequent actions both stabbed them in the back and insulted us. His PA comments (I lived there for years, that state is BLUE) were the final nail in the coffin, painting him as just another arrogant elitist.
