Wait for him to throw Michelle under the bus.

Comment by Arabella Trefoil | 2008-05-31 20:13:41

It’s crowded under this bus. If Michelle is getting shoved in here, please make sure she’s not next to me. And get your elbow out of my eye, Mr. Murder.

Comment by S. Markom | 2008-05-31 20:17:31

I heard he is getting a fleet of buses beccause of how many more people he will need to throw under in order to get elected.

Now I know what he means by “Change You Can Believe In.” - because we can see in real time just how many changes he makes to cover up his mistakes.

Comment by Arabella Trefoil | 2008-05-31 20:21:07

At least we don’t need to jack up the bus to change the tires. Pass me the lug wrench.

ROFLOL!!!!!

Comment by Manchu Walk | 2008-05-31 20:47:59

A lot of Clinton supporters getting thrown under the bus, but there’s still seats on the Straight Talk Express.

Comment by karen for Clinton | 2008-05-31 21:08:50

We are holding out on that option as a last resorty… but thank you for being courteous and Thank you to John McCain for being a gentleman.

The Republicans have been allies and that is still HYSTERICAL to me. Talk about CHANGE!

I know dozens of republicans who agree with me entirely about obama. It’s the Unity I NEVER expected in my life!

Sincere thanks to McCain for leading the discussion of respect and old fashioned values we must never abandon as a civilized society.

We’ll get back to you after DENVER if our party self-destructs and continues its hell bent suicide mission.

Save me a seat on the Straight talk bus. :-)

Comment by jwrjr | 2008-05-31 22:48:45

I would not like to vote for McCain for President. But as we have seen, Obama would be worse.

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-05-31 22:56:24

Good point. Obama did promise bi-partisanship. We just didn’t expect it would take this form!

Comment by tim | 2008-05-31 22:58:57

LOL!!!!

yep.. he is such a uniter!

He’s uniting ALL of use to vote against him!

Comment by Pittsburgh4Hillary08 | 2008-05-31 23:15:38

This should be McCain’s c’mon over slogan. Maybe HE should offer Hillary the VP slot, and vow to serve only one term.

Comment by Uppity | 2008-05-31 22:04:14

LOL! he will probably leave her. I mean he is willing to throw anybody away for the nomination.

I cannot WAIT to see that sweet woman snarling on video.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-05-31 22:30:50

OBAMA: “I, uh, never knew, uh, that she felt this way. We, uh, never, uh, talked about this, uh, over dinner.”
OLBERMANN: “Well, there you have it. Barack was unaware of his wife’s racism. Should he be blamed for Michelle?”

Comment by rm | 2008-05-31 23:03:34

That’s hysterical.

Comment by destardi | 2008-05-31 23:13:04

haha, I second that.

Comment by Clinton Fan | 2008-05-31 22:43:10

Well, Rev W can always “counsel” her, you know–to strengthen her marriage, and then dump his wife and MARRY her!

It’s not like he’s never done it before…!

Comment by It's Not Me | 2008-05-31 19:40:50

OMG! I have to wait until Monday? LOL! Holy crap. Can it be what I hope? The tape is coming out now?

Comment by Dakinikat | 2008-05-31 20:46:20

you know, i am really worried about all these nasty streaks of hatred, rising to the top in folks … we keep having violent misogynistic verbal attacks on Hillary … we know there are some really nasty racist groups still out there … how are we going to work all this out, now that it’s out of the shadows and no one is really having realistic dialogues about it? Politicians see this as a way to get our votes … I’m glad on one level that Obama’s roosters are coming home to roost. However, what are we going to do with the left-over mess?

instead of obama’s speech being a dialogue about race, I found it very much like nixon’s I am not a crook speech. Hillary has not really spoken to the sexist and misogynist verbiage against her. What are we really going to do to actually HAVE a dialogue about these things, rather than use them as demographics to slice, dice and bait into voting blocs? If we have this Michelle meltdown moment, what will this mean for American? I think we should have a moment of thought about the re-action here … how do we respond in a calm and rational way to these serious problems of race and sex?

Comment by Kathy | 2008-05-31 21:45:52

I agree and it’s one of the reasons I’m so angry at Obama. He promised us a dialogue on race and then walked away. All we hear is him getting to label what is racist. McCain was quite a gentleman for denouncing Pfleger’s remarks against Hillary. Apparently Obama thinks such remarks about her are okay.

Comment by Clinton Fan | 2008-05-31 22:48:27

Oh, we’ve HAD that dialogue, “Sweetie.”

Didn’t you catch it? It was a one-way dialogue, but it was a dialogue noneless.

If you did your part, you were supposed to “eat it” and accept your role as a vicious, bitter, gun hugging, Jesus freak cracker if you dared to support Hillary.

Bow down to the Obama Cult Believers, and don’t criticize the stupid punks who are into that Hope for Change bullshit (they’ll be hoping for change when they can’t find a fucking job, but that is a story for another day).

Here’s how it went, that swell “dialogue:”

Obama–You’re all a bunch of racists if you don’t vote for me.

Any questions?

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-05-31 22:13:03

I don’t want to have a dialogue. I know how they feel about me. I feel the same way back now. Let the chips fall.

Comment by Junebog | 2008-05-31 23:08:17

It’s very sad to see so many people on this blog turning inward defensively, so fearful of having an honest dialogue that instead they prefer to flatter each other’s intolerance and pat each other on the back for their hatred. Yuk yuk, isn’t this all great fun.

Comment by destardi | 2008-05-31 23:20:57

“an honest dialogue”?

Did John McCain or Hillary Clinton refer to blacks as “typical black people”?

Was Obama accused of lightening Hillary’s skin on a freakin YouTube video?

Do all whites have 401k’s and trust funds? Do whites feel entitled? There are no single white moms with a kid, and no education?

Do you have money for arugula and send your kids to a $5,000 summer camp, then complain about “how hard it is”, while you already admit to buying a million dollar mansion was “a stretch” then proceed to ask your political fixer to help you out with a land purchase, then turn around and claim “I didn’ tknow there was a criminal investigation centered on Tony”?

You think it’s ok to counter any criticism of Barry as “you’re racist”? That entire state is racist! You’re a racist fo rsaying “black” in any sentence that isn’t discussing “black” in a good way?

GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK

Geraldine Ferraro said the truth, as Obama mentioned in his own words previously…If he were just another white freshman senator, he’d NEVER be where he is.

Get over your perceptions, and deal with it.

Comment by Mandelay | 2008-05-31 22:28:11

Dakinikat,I think what you’ve written is very heartfelt and I am also very worried about what we will be left with after this election is over. I must tell you that personally, I feel very disillusioned by what I’ve seen over the last five months. I see something I had “belonged to” — the Democratic Party — trash one of its own candidates with its continuing silence over what has been going on. I have come to believe this silence on the part of the party is a signal that its ok to trash a candidate like Hillary Clinton, who would be a gem in any election in any country. I also see many parallels to what I lived through in 1968. Contrary to the illusion of having some sort of mystical connection to “the Kennedys,” Barack Obama has no claim to the legacy of Bobby Kennedy. Yet he gets away with it and everything else. It’s not just the media, it’s the party’s elders, led by an ailing Ted Kennedy. In 1968, Bobby was trailing in delegates, he had been kicked around in some of the elections, had a narrow victory in California and was the object of extreme emotional reactions, love and hate. He was called every name in the book and accused of anything vile that could be made up. He also had a deep connection with the working people and the poor. Hillary has more in common with Bobby Kennedy than any other candidate many of the Kennedys might want us to support. In 1968, I was left with a sadness and shock. The entire country went off on a wrong track that has lengthened with each year. Now we are being told that this Barack Obama is “the answer” to all that and all I can see is a great sham. The pastors, the churches, the money, all of it goes back to the Dailey Machine in Chicago. This is a point of great political corruption in this country. Why do so many of us want to spread its cancer to Washington, DC? What you’ve written is very heartfelt. The reactions here, I believe, are born of deep frustration with the party and the media, as well as the injustices that have been tolerated, injustices against one of the most qualified candidates I’ve ever seen for the office of POTUS. At this point, I can only see Hillary running as an independent. I also think she can win as an independent. I have also come to believe that it is important to send a message to the DNC in November. If what they did is allowed to culminate in the election of Obama, the next election and the one after that and all the rest will be products of this slime. And fighting the “Obama Illusion” will become increasingly more difficult. Tonight’s “compromises” made at the DNC’s committee meeting have left Florida delegates with the power of half a vote. Half a vote. And reducing people to a fraction was the proposal of a black man. At one time black men had only 3/5 of a vote. See how far we’ve come. The Michigan “compromise” not only gives Obama delegates, it actually gives him 4 of HIllary’s delegates. So you see, the reactions here are born of the frustrations over these outrages. I wonder what Bobby thinks of all of this, wherever he is. And the party is silent. And the media fall in step.

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-05-31 23:00:16

There is no chance for her running as an Independent this year due to deadlines, etc.

Moreover, I do not believe that she would abandon the party. Obviously, the party is in very big trouble.

Comment by prverde | 2008-05-31 22:43:31

Why are we afraid, rev. Wright and Priest Pfleger were not afraid to rant on their anti0american, anti-white, racist and outright disgusting they are. We must stand by Hillary and defe d her. We must not let our country be destroyed by Obama

So Larry I’m not going to bug you with silly questions… but have you seen this video? By the way you made the statement it would seem that you’ve seen it and it IS legit!

I wouldn’t doubt that there is a tape out there of this because it would fit the MO pattern! Boy, if this comes out right after he renounced his church won’t that be a kick in the head for him… LOL

I wonder if this is why Hillary thinks that all the Supers will be deciding by next week…. Maybe she knows this is coming out too!

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-05-31 22:14:17

Scott, always remember that supers don’t actually “decide” till they vote. That would be in August. August is a long way off for a guy who’s got his shoulder to the door of his skeleton closet.

Better news cycle. Today is full of DNC & BO ditched church craps.

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-05-31 22:15:30

Never release news you want hanging around for awhile on a weekend. And never on Friday. Always do it on a Monday because it’s usually a slow news day. Unless there is a disaster, then wait till tuesday.

I’m glad to hear they aren’t going to be stupid and wait.

November surprise stuff won’t work. Either knock him out or kiss the opportunity good-bye.

They will be up against the “blood in the street” threat as well as Hillary has been.

Comment by Sapphire Sister | 2008-05-31 19:44:11

It has always been very clear to me that Michelle Obama loathes white people. She despises white people. In fact, I think she is a black separatist. She really believes we owe her something, and she threatens to incite racial violence if she does not obtain exactly what she wants. Her life has been spent playing the race card with impunity, and she will destroy this country in the name of power. She really frightens me. She is also the reason Obama supporters are so violent.

Comment by Mr.Murder | 2008-05-31 19:51:01

Please, she holds contempt for everyone that isn’t her. This isn’t about one group w/ Michelle.

Comment by emack06 | 2008-05-31 23:19:15

what evidence do you have to back up your accusations. Do you have first hand proof of any statements she made about white people and are those statments refutable?

Maybe someone with access decided it was more important to ensure two true blue Americans were running in the fall rather than risk someone who might endanger the republic.

And will Mr. Axelrod release his footage of Pfleger? http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2008/05/pfleger_a_headache_for_obama_a.html

Comment by karen for Clinton | 2008-05-31 21:15:23

Comment by democrat1 | 2008-05-31 19:45:07

I hope it is really stunning. With today’s DNC’s unjust decision, that is the only hope to put an end to this inexperienced, corrupt, terrorist friendly, white hating racist scumbag

Comment by spamccensor | 2008-05-31 19:46:00

Normally, when I see this pattern, I think, oh, another “hope” troll, but something is truly rotten, this time around, for them.

Don’t know why, but someone seems really upset.

Comment by BlackmanNot4Obama | 2008-05-31 19:46:25

I hope the wait till monday is worth it. I will remain reserved on this topic until then. If such a tape does exist I think it would be most effective if it was released on Wednesday after all the votes are counted and Obama declares another landmark!

Comment by Sugar | 2008-05-31 19:46:30

“It is not a church worthy of denouncing…” that would be the main Republican talking point if this clown gets the nomination.

Comment by AF catfish | 2008-05-31 19:51:46

Hannity caught it - he just repeated it in his analysis. Major Garrett said (speculated?) that some superdelegates were holding out until he handled this church situation for good.

I don’t think this will do it, I resign, but do not denounce, Trinity.

Hannity also said in the conference Obama praised Rev. Moss as a good, young pastor. But Moss introduced Pfleger and praised him after he was done.

He does not get the word “renounce” and why it is important. Neither do his young supporters, unfortunately.

Comment by beebop | 2008-05-31 19:56:44

The tape is the real reason he “resigned.” The rest of it is just inconvenient …. he’s trying to get in front and create 8 feet of distance before the truck hits him …… jowo.

Thank you Larry. You are doing what the MSM refuses to do. Just about everything that has slowly leaked out about Obama has been due to the internet. Thank God for people like you. I find it disgusting that the GOP would have information so important to the voters of the United States and hold on to it for political advantage. (What am I saying — that is what politics is all about, isn’t it?)

Comment by spamccensor | 2008-05-31 20:00:06

I think, though, sometimes “politics” runs dangerously close to treason.

And then it’s a different ballgame, if we are worth our salt as a country.

And we are.

Comment by Strawberry | 2008-05-31 20:19:16

I’m shocked myself as well. Unless it’s the part of the GOP that hates McCain and would rather see Hillary as prez. Like my republican family. They prefer Hillary over McCain but will never vote for Barky. I actually liked McCain until he bent over for Bush. He’s a moderate republican. And even if he’s spewing pro war BS to get elected, he would have never allowed the military to be treated so badly.

Comment by Linda C. | 2008-05-31 20:52:08

I think McCain is trying to make up for Vietnam. Undo the past by making the Iraq war work.

Comment by Maddie | 2008-05-31 20:45:54

yes we really need more lies, distortions and misquotes.

Do you people even realize that you now champion Fox News? You have become what you hate.

Comment by Manchu Walk | 2008-05-31 20:53:04

Pretty sad when FOX has become more “fair and balanced than MSNBC.” I think if you could tolerate Keith Olbermann, Jack Cafferty and Tweetie, you’ve become what you hate.

Comment by Donkey Brazziere | 2008-05-31 22:20:07

And don’t forget Rachel “clown makeup” Maddow.

Comment by street_parade | 2008-05-31 21:06:07

What lies, distortions and misquotes?

Did he go to that church for nearly 20 years and say that Rev Wright was his spiritual advisor and moral compass? YES HE DID.

Did he serve as the first Chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Fund, selected in part by terrorist William Ayres who helped to found it? YES HE DID.

Did he have a nearly 20 year relationship with Tony “too bad that you’re freezing” Rezko and do a real estate deal that looks dangerously like the same kind of quid pro quo deal that put Duke Cunningham in jail? YES HE DID

There is soooo much more, but it is time for the ostriches to pull their heads out of the sand. The Democratic party elite did a STUNNINGLY poor job vetting this candidate. He was unknown, now he is becoming known and because of what we know already he is a sure loser in November.

Comment by usedmeat | 2008-05-31 22:35:00

Also on Monday, we have the return of the ever dedicated Rezko jury to their impressive deliberations. Hopefully no one on the jury got a hangnail over the weekend, and they will all be able to sit in a room and actually (gasp) come to a verdict. And then indictments for all. Yippee!
Come on Fitzgerald.

Comment by ScottVA | 2008-05-31 19:56:34

we’ll have to see if Rezko tries to cut some deal with the Feds and roll over on BO some how… I mean after all even if he’s NOT convicted in Chicago he’s going to Nevada for some new charges of bad checks to casinos for $800k.

Comment by spamccensor | 2008-05-31 20:02:17

Given it’s Chicago, I would not be surprised if the verdict is fixed, in the least.

But I sincerely hope I’m wrong.

Comment by jm | 2008-05-31 20:35:46

At least have in mind who the prosecutor is. The sharpest and bravest around. It does look like they have put the fix in on dragging out the verdict announcement - due to remaining primaries. But remember in Lake County IND they couldn’t cheat enough to win - just long enough and enough phony votes there to delay and do a bit of damage control.

Let’s look for a similar outcome with Rezko. Hard to imagine that he’ll get off. More likely when verdict comes in, there’ll be some big phony MSM fix on some other distraction to try to dilute attention to the verdict. Think we should watch for this result.

Comment by so saddened | 2008-05-31 20:38:14

they just want to have it drag out until obambi’s “elected” (quotes because it’ll be through theft, of course). then obambi can fire him and keep his skinny little ass out of jail.

at least that’s how i see it.

Comment by Deep Truths | 2008-05-31 20:25:44

Rezko is someone who was happy to be out on a million dollar bail. At the slightest hint of a conviction he’ll start singing.

The Feds must have something on him. A man turned informant was taped for hundreds of meetings. How can they miss?

Comment by HillaryWarriorDawnelle | 2008-05-31 21:00:03

do the Odramas have the nerve to go home to that mansion that rezko acquired for them?????

Does Mr. Hope know this tape is coming out next week and THAT is why he quit his church TODAY???? Oh, so many things to think about until Monday!
