ME ME ME ME ME has NOT ONCE apologized to Hillary Clinton, or stood up for her [Update: the sickening reality]

I am so angry that I am not sure I can type this. But here goes:
Not once, EVEN in the press conference just held — not to mention the ’round-the-clock coverage of the vicious Father Michael Pfleger’s hideous remarks about Hillary Clinton — NOT ONCE has Barack Obama (1) personally apologized to Hillary Clinton, or (2) told the public and media that he is SORRY for what Father Pfleger said about her, and STOOD UP for Hillary Clinton. In stark contrast to John McCain yesterday, who said:
John McCain is a stand-up man. But Barack Obama is a SNAKE IN THE GRASS who is using 1) BULLIES, 2) COERCIVE TACTICS, 3) the THREAT OF VIOLENCE, and 4) PROMISES OF BIG CASH INCOME to FORCE his nomination on the Democratic party. Besides not being able to erase 20 years of exploiting that church for all the political gain he could extract from it — and to this day STILL failing to condemn this church for its regular preaching of hatred, racial separatism, and racism against whites — Barack Obama has failed to do the one decent thing that ANY gentleman, with ANY SENSE OF CLASS AND CHARACTER, would do:
APOLOGIZE PERSONALLY to Hillary Clinton for the cruel, vicious things said about her by his longtime intimate associate with whom he speaks regularly on the telephone, most recently (that we know of) as early in May 2008 when Barack broke with Rev. Wright.
Furthermore, Barack Obama has FAILED to EXPRESS HIS APOLOGY to the world in a public statement. This is all I can find, via the Baltimore Sun’s Swamp blog — and he said nothing in his just-completed press conference that would add to this:
In his only public appearance of the day Friday, Obama made no mention of Pfleger during a speech in Great Falls, Mont. As the story broke Thursday, his campaign issued a statement expressing disappointment in the priest’s “divisive, backward-looking rhetoric.”
AS A CLINTON SUPPORTER — and as a WOMAN – I demand that nothing else but his PERSONAL DIRECT, and then PUBLIC, APOLOGY to Sen. Clinton will suffice.
But, know what? I know that he will not do this.
WHY?
I KNOW that he is NOT a stand-up man. I realize that he hasn’t the decency to do the right thing.
What astonishes me is that — even those who aren’t stand-up people — at least have the brains to figure out that it’d be the SMART thing to do.
BUT HE CAN’T EVEN PRETEND.
He has a sociopathic personality so self-involved that he can’t even perceive that it would make him LOOK better to apologize, and to say something positive about Hillary Clinton.
Even the lowest form of con man knows that that is part of the game. Not he.
For him, it is all about ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME, and what ME ME ME ME ME ME ME wants.
He doesn’t give a f–k about a single American citizen, let alone the people of the world who are watching this election like hawks starving for sustenance from the United States of America.

Obama and Bush are of a similar type: Two utterly self-involved men with little or no compassion for other human beings.
To Obama and Bush, it is the worst kind of demonstration of weakness to ever apologize.
Obama and Bush do not realize that it IS possible to apologize — or at the least express empathy for the injured party — John McCain did yesterday.
McCain’s heartfelt words about Hillary Clinton were delivered with quiet dignity and true feeling.
Because we — the viewers — already KNOW, with certainty, that John McCain is a man, and a strong one at that, it is possible for him to express empathy without ever appearing weak.
Obama and Bush are SO UNCERTAIN OF THEIR MANHOOD that they dare not ever express compassion or apologize.
Well, their uncertainty about their manhood is justified. They both appear to be weaklings who make up for what they lack by bullying, bribing, and brandishing their weapon of choice (for Bush, it is the U.S. military, and for Obama it is the almighty dollar — the only god that Obama really worships).
I don’t believe in phony apologies, personally. He has no respect for Hillary. His supporter also do not. The DNC behaved today in a way that sent the message that they agree with him that we’re not to be respected.
I’m glad he didn’t apologize. It is better that he be true to his hate-filled self.
He’s just a man out of that church, and it shows.

Pfleger was wrong to say what he did and as his friend and a decent human being I feel strongly that you have been treated disgracefully and because of that I will quit the race….There an apology and an amends all in one…

I don’t believe in phony apologies either, but there is something to be said for protocol, especially if you’re running for CIC.
Apologies are foundational to civil behavior….It is also not required in civil society to be necessarily sincere at the time given but are necessary if amends is to take place. Amending the harm and the behavior can take long time but apologies must be timely to be effective…
The problem with folks like Obama, Wright, Pfleger etc… is an overweening pride and immaturity….Fairly typical in young children who must be instructed in the rules of civility…In our culture civility is becoming a lost art….imho

The Problem Is Not Wright but Trinity?
The problem with Father Pfleger’s racist and sexist rant about Hillary’s tears and whiteness was not that he once had some tenuous relationship with Barack Obama and therefore is the candidate’s eternal responsibility. Obama obviously is not responsible for all the dubious people that he has come across in the world of Chicago activism.
But there is a problem, and it really is far larger than Father Pfleger— namely the immediate reaction to the father’s sick mimicry from both the congregation and the new pastor of Trinity. The reception to Pfleger seemed enthusiastic, at least as it appeared on the video “snippet”, and indeed after that racist harangue the pastor at Trinity praised Pfleger in the manner he had introduced him.
After the Wright National Press Club meltdown, Obama I think has made the case that Trinity and Wright were distinguishable; and thus while he could finally cut loose the latter, he could still in good conscious stay with the former.
But now? It seems the problem is not Wright per se, but the church itself and its generic pastors that are starting to voice, or at least tolerate, habitually racist themes. After the pastor’s and congregation’s response to the latest creepy sermon, it is surely past time for Obama now to gracefully leave the congregation that either cannot or will not distance itself from hate speech.
Surely the possible next president of the United States cannot formally belong to a church where Wright and Pfleger have habitually spread their venom, and where both were praised by Wright’s successor and current pastor. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be wrong to suspect that Wright did not create Trinity, but rather Trinity created Wright.
I am convinced any Catholics who still support Obama abandoned him in the wake of the Pfleger controversy. I know for a fact that this will not resonate with the Catholics with whom I was raised.
Truth, Old Top, the Catholics ( Democrats all BTW) I know here in Chicago were for McCain longt before the Father Pfleger ( we see his act almost daily here) did dozens on whitey and Hillary.

The charitable explanation: Barack has belatedly discovered that no one person or church symbolizes “The Black Community.” Not a pastor, an athlete, singer, dancer, or blues man. We should be judged on the, dare I say it, content of our character.
The less-charitable explanation (which, ironically, his defenders will rush to offer) is that he’s preempting the unfair attacks that will bombard him from the right once the general is underway. He must clear the path of unfair “distractions” that his affiliation with Trinity raises. In other words, he’s dumping his church of twenty years so that he can be president. That fact just boggles my fricken mind. How is this even possible??! I find it absolutely astounding. I honestly believed there was no one worse then Bush. I thought I’d vote for anything with a D next to it’s name, just to free us from this nightmare.
And then the Democrats go and run a candidate that gives a whole new meaning to “voting for the lessor of evils”. Dang! McCain looks downright sane compared to this guy.
I’m with Hillary all the way to the finish line. But if not her, McCain it is.

before i actually learned anything about obambi, when i’d just seen his pretty smile, i thought he’d probably be a good candidate one of these days.
then i actually learned something about him.
and now i’d vote for bush over him.
as i’ve said before, i’d vote for nixon over him.
nixon had many despicable characteristics, but he at least knew something. and his despicable characteristics weren’t as bad as obambi’s.
those who know me know that i despise bush and i despised nixon. STRONGLY for both! so for me to say that says it all.
fortunately, mccain is better than both. nowhere near as good as hillary, but a thousand times better than obambi. so if they nominate obambi, i vote mccain. simple, straightforward, unchangeable.
hillary or mccain. no other option.

And Hillary won Nevada, but he got one more delegate than she did. I’m getting really sick of this whole nominating thing. What a JOKE!

I am convinced any Catholics who still support Obama abandoned him in the wake of the Pfleger controversy. I know for a fact that this will not resonate with the Catholics with whom I was raised.

Truthteller - I’m not Catholic, but Baptist. I would think ALL people of faith would abandon Obama and the pro-hate, racist, divisive so-called ‘men of the cloth’ whom he seems to ‘cling’ to. For a minister/priest to stand in front of the alter and make fun, ridicule and embarrass another human being - BY NAME - is just inexplicable and just down-right un-Christian. What has happened to our country and our morals???
I finally get it–this is a meeting of the jesus freak wing of the Democratic party.
I am not an Obama supporter, and am really shaken at the idea that I might have to force myself to vote for him this fall. I may choose not to vote, but actively working to elect McCain is a mistake. For all the horrible things about Obama we have discovered about Obama in the past months, it is crazy to go to the opposite extreme to vote for McCain. McCain is not the vision of perfection that he is being made out to be all in anger about Obama. He has warmonger stamped on his forhead as plain as day. Someone that obsessed with war, the military, who is antichoice, who could put justices on the SC who will live long lives putting us back into the dark ages is a devil in himself.
As for Obama’s ignorance in this campaign and his seeming lack of ability to bring himself to apoligize about a single thing he has ever done,the reason can be seen if you look at the people in the background of the faux priest’s sermon. He is so owned by the black community, both with money and votes that he can never be free to speak his own mind, if indeed his mind is ever different than theirs to begin with. When his own wife is so full of hate and is one of the type of supporters we see in the background, there is no hope for him ever to act any differently than he is now.
I believe the entire party is owned in this election by these same type of Trinity Church goers. The Party believes that Blacks have pput us over the top in every election we have won and are afraind that without them we will never win again. Trouble is, that regardless we don’t win anyway. It’s women they have been missing as the important ones in wins, probably they will soon learn that one, though.
I believe this whole thing has been so scripted and rigged from the start. I mean come on, the DNC is prepared to crown Obama on the anniversary of the MLK, “I have a Dream speech”. Am I supposed to believe that’s a coincidence?
I have no argument with that. I can’t stomach him and am having a very bad time knowing what to do this fall. In fact, I intend to leave the party for the general election to
