Harriet Christian

Harriet Christian, a devoted Hillary supporter, is a fighter who gives as good as she’s got, and does not yield. She is amazingly frank, in the tradition of the great Geraldine Ferraro. The first YouTube of her remarks following last Saturday’s RBC debacle has been seen by over one million two hundred thousand viewers. This is Harriet’s appearance on Neil Cavuto’s show a couple days ago, captured and uploaded by V to NoQuarter’s YouTube channel:
How we wish we could have uploaded this video a couple days ago, but had to wait until our server issues were resolved. And here is the original video, seen by 1,216,789 viewers:

You go girl. Reminds me of my poor departed Grandmother. Wouldn`t take shit off anybody.
Absolutely! Same here, my dearly departed Grandmother was the toughest woman I’ve know, next to my mother, then my wife. Blessings to all the other strong and weak women that they be treated as equals by all. The road is long I guess, but keep moving. This isn’t over, pace yourself.
Go Grandma Go!
Harriet Christian is my new hero.
Harriet Rocks!
I’m thankful someone’s voice has been heard. I can not believe what is happening.
All the posts that I’ve read and all the accusations being flung that if you don’t support Obama you are a racist. I’m just shocked!
Can anyone see this isn’t about race, it’s about a man who is not qualified for this job?
Hillary has paid her dues - not just b/c she was the first lady. Take a look at her record. She has been an advocate and fighter for years and years.
We should be proud to have her as our President - not because she is a woman but because she is proud to be an American and is a fighter.
Why would anyone subject themself to the scrutiny she has faced if they were not passionate about their cause?
That is the issue right there. When you look at Hillary’s record, you can see the causes she has fought for. You can read her accomplishments on her resume. She finished her first term in the US Senate; she could have run in 2004. What has Obama actually done as a “community organizer?”
Can you please tell me where I can send Harriet Christian my thanks for speaking what is in my mind and heart?
I am so upset for the DNC’s unfair treatment to Senator Clinton, the most qualified candidate for the job. DNC picked the one with LITTLE experience mainly for his BIG DONORS.
I can see myself in Harriet’s face and frustration. DNC abandoned me,a female American retired school teacher.
Give’em hell Harriet. I love it. She speaks for what I am feeling about the DNC.
Racist crazy old woman. Reminds me of this taxi driver who started to tell everyone about how the blacks were taking over. Of course Larry Johnson agrees with her and is going to vote McCain, never were Democrats.
you’re an ass. just what we’ve been talking about here. anyone who doesn’t vote obama is a racist and a republican. Go read the Juan Williams story and return only when you’ve come to your senses.
Oh, and if you are a woman, you should get some therapy for that self-hate of yours. Its dripping from your keyboard.
Harriet says that 99% of African Americans have no idea what they are doing…..
That is racist…..
but anyone who doesn’t like or is critical of hillary is a woman-hating misogynist?
hillary’s diehard supporters (she used to be my top choice) don’t realize how much (or why) people dislike her as a PERSON—— being a woman is just a detail. if she were a guy she’d be criticized just as much. look at Bill. he’s beaten up by certain folks in the media on a daily basis. the difference? we’re used to polarizing male politicians being thrashed by the media. i for one think BOTH clintons are untrustworthy. does that make me an all around human hater?
Seriously! This woman is crazy and I am embarrassed for her. I am a true Democrat who loves Hilary as well but understands that we need to pull together as a party. Undermining the ticket helps no one! She should be ashamed and stop making racist remarks of her own.
Hey Harriett lets get something together like a rally oor something in cleve ohio… lets do it…. NO DEAL FOR OBAMA RALLY your right the DNC did nothing to help and now Obama wants too kiss butt with Hillary just so he can get elected… much as i like Hillary no way will i vote Democratic now….Its McCain all the way and he should pick Hillary as his VP screw Obama and the white horse he rode in on and that goes for his wife too
the wife comment was great!i feel the exact same way!its so queer how shes off limits!
What I’m struck by is the same thing that the trolls ask and say: “Don’t you think this makes you LOOK like a sore loser?”
Why are they so concerned about “looks.” I gave up “looking” a particular way months ago, after being called every name in the book. Most of my friends who voted for Hillary never spoke about it even on their jobs because Obama supporters would attack aggressively. Who the heck cares what those people think of how I “look” anyway? Like I give them credibility?
Very odd interview.
Why are they so concerned about “looks.” I gave up “looking” a particular way months ago, after being called every name in the book
i agree -give then hell
rememeber novemeber
“Why are they so concerned about “looks.” I gave up “looking” a particular way months ago, after being called every name in the book”
That happened to my aunt a while back. Even if you’re not feeling like it, it’s important to go through everyday routines and keep up with your hygiene until you’re back on your feet. And try to keep a sunny disposition.
We will. And our dispositions will be especially sunny when McCain kicks Obama’s sorry butt all the way back to Chicago in the GE.
Harriet Christian cuts through the BS and states what most Clinton supporters feel.
I agree - what is the point of stating that if Hillary does not concede she and her supporters look like sore losers. I’d rather look like a sore loser than a cheater. Because for Barack to pretend that he won this contest fair and square is an outright lie. There has never been a precedent in previous elections where the Party Leader demands that the superdelegates choose their candidate before the Convention. Why the push now? What is there to hide? Hillary’s friends and colleagues have crept to the other side like thieves in the night. But they’ll all be burned when McCain wins the White House in November. I promised the DNC if they didn’t do the right thing at the Meeting of the Rules and Bylaws Committee that I would personally craft the silver platter to hand the Keys to the White House to John McCain in the Fall…so anyone have any ideas on the design of the platter I’m crafing? I’m open to suggestions!
Go John McCain!
The ones with the hygiene problem are those with bo.
no BObama
Get a grip!
@Annin etc — you know what’s far WORSE than a sore loser doncha?
AnswerA: A BUNCH OF WHINY COMPLAINING CONDESCENDING SORE WINNERS!
(and their trolls)
Sore winners who couldn’t win without cheating.
Supporting a PRESUMPTUOUS nominee …
lol*…..you know, they are predictable, anyway. I was shocked when I first started this process of blogging about the race.
Today, I must say, I feel like a seasoned pro.
They have a few standard approaches. It’s like playing tennis. You see the “slam it down the little ladies throat” ball coming, just step to the side, hold your racket out, and watch the ball go back with nearly the same velocity. I enjoyed in my younger years many a day on the courts with that type of male tennis player and watching them trip and fall as they tried to return those balls.
Same thing in this new brave political blogging world.
They are just the same ole’ bullies I’ve had to put up with my entire life. What’s new?
Nuttin, honey.
Funny that. They look like a bunch of thugs. Guess they only worry about what we look like. geez, I wish they’d go away.
Harriet is my hero!! I believe that if Obama was more qualified than Hillary, Harriet would be fighting just as hard for him.
Susan — I think Harriet Christian is a great broad. She has reached the age where she doesn’t have to worry about what anything thinks — I admire her for that. She is not running for office so she lets it all hang out.
No kidding!
At least she has something to hang out, unlike Obamabutt trolls.
s.hall… Women are not ‘broads’… But you are an f’ing asshole.
You visit Hire Heels blog?
It’s cute as heck. Pro-Hillary site, very clever.
Anyway, they like her guts but hate her style. They are calling for a million woman march on Denver, in our high heels.
And damn it……DRESS UP!
It’s a fun blog.
I LOVE Harrist…Can I adopt her? LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her! She is right on the money and takes no shit! Way to go Harriet, you are awesome.
You know, Larry, linking to a video has absolutely no impact on your servers whatsoever. None. Zilch. Nada. The video is being served by YouTube servers, not by your servers. The only thing being served by your web servers are the HTML (and associated script) to render the web page. That HTML contains a link to the YouTube video, but that link is parsed by each individual’s browser. In other words, when I click play on the YouTube video on this page, my local client (my PC) opens a direct connection to YouTube’s server and the transaction occurs between my PC and YouTube’s server — your site has nothing to do with it at all except to simply provide my local machine with the link to the YouTube video.
The servers were going crazy for several days. Larry wasn’t really able to post anything.
I think we all know that already. But let’s cut Larry some slack here. He didn’t explain what is was with the servers. Maybe things were just as screwed up with the servers as he said.
Jeff, you have no idea what you are talking about with this blog’s servers need and issues. And …why are so patronizing to someone who didn’t charge you money to yap?
On that note
Thanks to NQ for being here to yap, and I’ll drop a dollar in till soon, you’ve been worth it, and thanks for your investment in our yapping our selfserving heads off. There have been some moment events thus far and I still find myself amazed at the projecting knownots who tell you how the blog is run and what issues are happening.
Susan and LJ will easily testify that I know whats under the hood around this blog, and not saying something I don’t know first hand about NQ. (and thanks for the opportunity to help you when I could and will again).
I want to respect the intense feelings of my seemingly opposite political spectrum friends, but there are some areas that have been less about the insult than the hypocritical or myopic categorization of many in this past 6 months, and on both sides of this inner Democratic scuffle.
But it still confounds me how amazing it is to see people make smart ass, dismissive and even paranoid comments about Larry Johnson, Susan, and NQ related to the burden on these servers. In data land they are a victim of their immediate success at generating the conversation you sit here and enjoy.
Note to self: Build a vehicle that runs on assholes. Almost more frequent than hydrogen.
I believe they have already, it’s called Washington , DC.
Now to drive the damned thing in the most unique way…
Unfortunately, the Washington, DC vehicle that runs on assholes pollutes way more than any other type of transportation. But you’re right, truthtelling, that it is one plentiful type of fuel.
Sadly, you can’t get the damn thing out of PARK ….
It stinks to high heaven also……..lol
Harriete,
Thank you you have spoken the truth that millions of us dare not say because we are afraid of being called racists.
I will never vote for Obama- He is inexperience he would not be where he is right now if his skin is white. She is speaking the truth what is so racist about that !!!
I agree completely with Harriet..I am sick of the Blacks and their raciest remarks. Directed at Whitey its fine but we better not call them Black..Whats wrong here? Go Harriet speak for us all!!
“Dare not say”? You just said it.
I like this community but half the posts here make no sense at all.
Yes — the half being posted by Obamabutt trolls. But pretty soon you’ll be too sad to troll, as Obama’s poll numbers get even lower. Didn’t get much of a bounce out of his “mission accomplished” announcement, did he? Maybe he should have borrowed W’s flightsuit to wear. Nah, second thought, definitely not.
I’m not afraid of being called a racist. the obamaborg can go to hell! I know what’s in my heart. They are sleazebags each and every one.
I really love this woman and would like to send her a thank you note. Wherever you are Harriet, you spoke for me. Exactly what I was thinking. Thank you bless you.
Wow! the video now has 1.2mil hits…Go Harriet!
She spoke up for many of us who wished to be rallying at the RBC meeting/stealing of delegates.
Is Barry still sure he can get Hillary’s voters to vote for him???? lol!
PUMA member
Tonight Obama is meeting with the Clintons at their home in Washington. Probably to ask Hillary to run with him. The question was asked of Harriet tonight — would she vote for Obama if he picked Hillary as his VP she said definitely not. And neither would I.
I’m hoping he will pick Claire McCaskill as his running mate. That will maximize my enjoyment when they lose.
Yes, McCaskill reminds me of someone who will do and say anything to get ahead or get re-elected. I lived in St Louis for 10 years and to win a election as a democrat and to support stem cell research, you have to get the support of the black electorate. So that is where she is coming from.
Also, I read somewhere that she made some snide comment about not letting her daughter anywhere near Bill Clinton, and this is after Hillary campaigned/raised money for Claire’s candidacy. Some gratitude.
It will be Obama/Judas 08.
More reasons not to vote for the ticket.
Watch Obama’s balloon deflate as we get closer to November.

Marcy, ROFL!
is there away to make the PUMA part an official party…something recognized at the election board offices.
What was it, 2 in 10 voters in kentucky said race was a factor in their vote, and 70% percent of those voted for Clinton. Chris Matthews et al. fell over themselves salivating about how racist Hillary’s voters are.
Obama received 90% of the African-American vote nationally, but that’s not even a little bit racist?
When you ignore the issues, ignore people’s experience, ignore people’s records, and vote for someone because of their skin color (Andrew Sullivan: “The best thing he has to offer is his face,” John Kerry: “He’s uniquely qualified to be President because he’s black,” Fr. Phleger: “Americans rape black people” [so vote for Obama], Rev. Wright: “Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger.”) THAT’S RACIST.
What I don’t get is can’t someone believe that having a black President would be historic and answer that yes, race is important without being called racist if they then decide that Hillary is more experienced and should be the first woman President? Only one of them can win. It’s somehow become racist to pick the most experienced one.
I don’t understand why Obama supporters are so touchy. I haven’t heard anyone say anything negative about his race. I don’t know why Obama supporters are trying to make it an issue in the first place. I’ve heard plenty of stuff said against whites by Obama’s associates and Obama himself though.
Obama supporters are making race and issue because that’s how Blacks do things to get their way..and it always works. Obama himself tossed his white Granny out when it came time to stick up for black or white. Any other white sick of it besides me? And I am not a raciest I love Colin Powell, he would make a President.
What really got me by the biased coverage in the polls, was the way they intentionally baited people. I am sure a lot of those in WV and Kentucky who said race was a factor, did so not because Obama is black, but because he was a 20 year member of a racist church. They didn’t give them an option of racism being a factor, only race.
Colin Powell is the traitor who sold the WMD excuse for war in Iraq when he knowing it was false.
Cheney Inc. couldn’t have worked their evil without Powell selling America out.
I’d still vote Colin Powell over Obama in a heartbeat. Powell does have integrity and honor and loves this country. Obama has neither and despises America.
” A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject ”
Winston Churchill.
Oh god, my neighbor to a t. A bobot who never shuts up and a fit if you dare say anything about her bo.
Check your facts -
I believe you will find that Powell was against the Iraq war (bull in a china shop - you break it, you own it - he once said). He was set up by Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld.
And - the most important thing to remember is - what did he do afterwards???
He RESIGNED and left that administration.
I would love to vote for Powell. He would be an excellent President. Does this make me a racist? No - but to not vote for Obama does.. go figure?? ?
There is absolutely nothing historic about putting another man in the white house.
Well said.
If all we care about in choosing a president is being historic about a Black/Lesbian? That’s a 3 fer. We don’t even have to find one that qualified because the presumptuous Democratic Nominee isn’t qualified either.
Harriet is one tough honest lady, I can only imagine that my mother if she were alive would be singing her praises. She said what had to be said. Im surprised they didn’t bury the story..
It’s the Tape the Neil Cavuto bombshell!!!!!!!
Oh darn its another 9 a.m. surprise. Disappointment reigns again at no quarter.
Hope you are this excited when it really comes out! lol! Whiteygate will have you running to your caves. Let me break it down slowly for you….
Larry. Never. Said. He. Had. The. Tape.
Got it???
Hillcrat — Whiteygate terrific ^5 lolol
Mccant, I get the distinct feeling that your time is running out on this site.
You must really have an empty life if you waste time coming here to post that. No fool, disappointment doesn’t reign. Larry never promised a tape. Reading skills would have let you in on that fact. Oops silly me, an Obamacrat doesn’t worry about facts when it’s so much easier to just “hope” and chant “yes we can” like a bunch of Jim Jones wannabes.
Bravo.
Everything she said was true - it’s just unfortunate that in the spur of the moment she used the word “inadequate” followed by the word “Black” - which can be perceived differently from her intent. A more suitable word would be “unqualified” but when you’ve just witnessed the death and theft of democracy, the correct words don’t always come immediately to mind in light of the anger.
The saddest thing about this whole campaign is that great people like Harriet are labeled “racists” and such by those who don’t even know her and for just one word she might have use that may sound different to different people based on differing experiences.
The racism charge is one of the worst things you can label a person with - use it carefully with the understanding of the awesomeness it holds. If not - you risk mitigating it into something useless and baseless. Harriet did not say “Black people cannot govern” - she said “inadequate” which has been used for other presidential candidates in terms of their resumes and inexperience.
By labeling whole groups of people racists - as often is the case with Obama supporters - they risk running off the very people who had once championed for the equal rights of Blacks and everyone else, good people like Harriet who fought for Civil Rights. Sadly, Obama’s campaign has further divided us as a country, based on race - not unify us. His race-baiting ploys were learned out of Chicago and Kenya and have unilaterally been implemented in the United States. It is a sad day in the democracy that we have - which may not last too long if the far-left Socialist radicals in Obama’s campaing have anything to say about it.
Hillary or McCain - no other option.
Both the far-left and far-right are wrong and bad for America. No true American should be calling for Socialism or a Theocracy.
I think she meant what she said, “inadequate black man.” Her point was made later because she, as a Hillary supporter, has been labeled a “white woman.”
I believe her saying white woman was actually in reaction to someone off camera we couldn’t hear. She was clearly directing several comments at hecklers. And we have enough experience here with trolls the net version of hecklers to understand what she was going through.
When she walked away, the two “reporters” were laughing at her. Didn’t turn the mic off fast enough.
sorry - I don’t have a problem with harriet’s choice of words…to be more adequate - bo’s an inadequate biracial black man…it’s the truth. I see nothing wrong, no negative connotation with stating the truth.
Exactly. Which doesn’t mean that there isn’t a black man who is “adequate” to do the second hardest job in the world (the hardest job is to raise a child); I believe that there is such a guy, just not “this black man (really, biracial) man”.
Really, he is not qualified. No experience, no accomplishments, his judgment is poor and he is a corrupt Chicago politician. He disenfranchised voters and stole votes. He is definitely “inadequate”.
Technically you are right as “inadequate” just means “inept or unsuitable” - both of which fit Obama like a glove.
But those consumed with racist paranoia will obviously read more into it.
My take was that she said “inadequate black man” because if he was far less qualified than a white person would have to be to get that far in the election. They chose him because he was black.
Obama chose to run — nobody forced him. Now the rest of us have to walk on eggshells to keep from upsetting him or his supporters. Someone should apologize to us for the comments made about Hillary and women in general. Giving Hillary the 1 fingered salute should have made the media sit up and take notice. But as usual it was never mind. Obama has a glass jaw–he can dish it out but he can’t take it.
I do believe we have found Hillary`s choice for VP.
I would pay MONEY to see her debate Obama!
kelly — that would be marvelous.
I would pay money to watch her punch his lights out.
WOW, What an impressive woman Harriet is. She did a magnificent job of answering Neil’s questions. She is a much better speaker without a teleprompter than Obama. She was very knowledegable and told it like it is. BRAVO. Job well done.
Harriet is so right its not because we are sore losers.
Obama is not the man (whether he is black or white) to be the President of the United States.
In just the last two months or so I have seen him many “Opps” type comments.
Some of the comments had to do with our country’s history and geography(57 states, and his uncle in WWII are just two examples.
Some of Obama’s comments were quite sexist and racist. (Calling a reporter sweetie, use of the word “typical white person”, and Obama Annie Oakley skit are just a few of his sexist racist comments).
Unlike Hillary and McCain “Opps” comments, the media gave Obama a bye on almost everyone of them.
On top of all this Obama has been flip flopping on several of his policies, especially the ones to do with International affairs.
This is just the opinion of an old ’60s white teenage civil rights worker. If this makes me a racist, so be it.
I still will NOT vote for Obama.
Well, I am a sore loser. LOL* I don’t mind admitting that one at all. But that doesn’t affect my reasoning about the election in the Fall.
I can afford to be a sore loser for quite awhile. No decision must be made right now.
I do make sure I don’t leap all over every tiny thing he does. That drove me nuts when they did it to Hillary. I don’t want to become like them.
I think, in short, I can be a sore loser and also not fall off the cliff here.
Right now, I’m just disappointed that my party betrayed our trust and pulled such illegal crap in order to declare O the winner. If we were going to lose fair and square, more power to you, O, you ran a shifty, dirty campaign, but you did it. But this way, if we lose, there won’t be anything fair and square about it.
“The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget.” Thomas S. Szasz
I’ll forgive because I don’t want to walk around with a rotting, black anger in my heart. But I won’t forget.
It would be good if the entire RBC meeting were replayed in prime time. Three African American members directly referred to race as if that were the issue to be considered instead of the “rules”. I withdrew my membership in the Democratic Party on Monday after forty years and I am grieving as if I had lost a loved one. Rage and sadness were both part of my reaction and I can feel and see Harriett’s pain.
The Braindead Obama comment about the primary season being for him like the Batan Death March which killed thousands of American soldiers irritated me. First of all as someone running for president he should be familiar with history and not make boneheaded mistakes like this. And second of all it shows that he is only into his own pain and no one else matters but him.
Wonder what would happen if we said “typical black person”.
Absolutely, he’s gotten a free pass for everything while they continually abuse Hillary - and Bill, our former president who left with a 68% approval rating, in spite of some mistakes, because he changed OUR lives for the better. I can’t think of one other president since Johnson who has done that. That’s fifty years.
They are clearly not afraid of us, do not respect us, while they are clearly afraid of Obama’s followers. All they have left us of dignity and self-respect is to vote against him in November. They tell us we don’t count. How else can we show we do count. Our votes count.
Recreate ‘68 is getting permits to assemble in Denver. ACLU is fighting for them. We need to be represented there, too. We need Harriet to lead us.
And it should never be about race. It’s about treating all people with respect, including and especially women, the majority minority, of whom black women have been probably more discriminated against for being women.
Amen Sister, telling it like it is! Thanks for posting this Larry. She is very well-spoken and makes some excellent points. She really speaks for many of us who have had to sit back and watch the rabid sexism since the start of the campaign. I’m glad Fox invited her on and gave her so much time.
Brava to Harriet Christian for her candor and passion.

June 5) Righteous Indignation - Most Powerful Statement of Defiance I’ve Read (SavagePolitics.com)
——————————————————————————–
http://www.savagepolitics.com/?p=610
EXCERPTS:
Quote:
“This entire election has been a sham. An almost comical farce in which the Mainstream Media, along with the ideological Left fringes within the Democratic Party…have decided to re-write history, dismiss entire demographics, and besmirch the reputation of countless individuals…
“ALL Americans must understand that the Media and the Democratic Party did not insult Hillary Clinton as a person, they insulted what she REPRESENTED to all of her supporters…Unfortunately for them, they seem to have overplayed their hand too far…
“Today, we find that the Media’s objective has been realized, and that the utter marginalization of the real base of the Democratic Party has been firmly shoved aside. In return, said base is being offered the scraps of condescension and blind loyalty. After being spat upon by the countless sycophantic maniacs within the Barack Hussein Obama Campaign, they now want to visit and offer ‘roses and candy’…
“Obama has become one of the most corrupting influences in our political/public life, exactly because of his race-baiting and dishonesty…
“The anger of most Democrats who supported Clinton should be palpable today, and I submit that it will last until November. In stark contrast with Obama, McCain’s more than 30 year-long record of service to our Country has never accumulated so many ’stains’ as Obama’s own after a few years in the public eye. Of course, we all know that McCain is not the most honest man in public life (no politician is!), but in contrast with the Democrat’s now “presumptive” nominee, he is a saint…
“The error of following the party line behind an incompetent fool without any credentials has led us to 8 years of George W. Bush. Today, a minority of the Democratic base, along with their elite puppet masters, have chosen their own Politically Correct version of Bush and want everyone to fall in line…it will indeed be the Democratic base (and independents) who will truly save this Country from the recent ignominious years of Presidential inexperience and arrogance…who will thankfully negate the presidency to a man who truly represents 4 more years of foolishness and Bush-like egocentrics…
“Republicans did not listen to McCain’s pleads in the year 2000, when he told his supporters (and his party) that Bush’s rhetoric was complete nonsense and dangerously naive. But they FOOLISHLY did listen to his suggestions after he was defeated by Bush and was forced to concede and endorse him. Now, in an almost eerie similarity, many Democrats did not listen to Hillary Clinton when she warned them about Obama’s dangerous inexperience, and now they might be tempted to foolishly listen to her when she does her ‘walk of shame’ towards endorsing Obama. But history…HAS TO CHANGE…
“We are now at war, and I am not only referring to the one that we are engaging around the world against foreign enemies, but the one that we must all wage today to protect our homeland from those who wish to harm it from within…we have a responsibility and duty to fight it until the end…we are definitely staring into the heart of darkness that the radical left wing of the Democratic Party has in store for all of those who do not conform. They have already proven that their main objective is to bring a new era of anti-White racism, institutionalized sexism, self inflicted ignorance, reality-show messianic pretensions…
“In all of these issues the Democratic Party has failed it’s own members, and now it is time to teach the world a strong lesson about how true democracy works…This November, we will save ALL of our citizens from making an even bigger mistake than the one made in the year 2000. This November, they will know the TRUE meaning of strength and dignity.”
I beg to differ regarding the statement that they didn’t insult Hillary as a person. If someone calls me c***, oh I take t personally. And pig in a pantsuit, oh yeah, personally. This has been the filthiest campaign I’ve ever seen and I’m from Chicago.

June 5, 2008): “Clinton, Obama meet privately in Washington” (Associated Press) - breaking news…

JUDAS and the other sexist asshole democratic leaders are trying to get Hillary to release ALL of her delegates to Obama. Now why would they want her to do that? Lets see..
The first vote is the pledged delegate vote. Obama isn’t going to make it and NEITHER is Hillary. By rule Obama will only be MADE the nominee on the 2nd vote which is held by SUPER DELEGATES. Now the supers who were strong armed into backing Obama don’t necessarily feel good about it. Presumptive nominee? Ya right only when the brokers put you over the top. Supers and it won’t take that many could easily flip on Obama especially since he pissed off half the party.. Saturday will be very telling. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to run her out of politics if she doens’t release them. Then again Edwards held his delegates but nobody said nothing. Aint sexism ugly…
Oh gosh. Can you imagine how thick the air must have been in that room!??? An ice cube could have probably floated in mid air!
What I wouldn’t give to be a fly on the wall in that meeting. Damn.
First Obama gives Hillary the finger — now he needs her so he begs her to help him be president. It may work for Hillary — It won’t work for me.
Nah*…….she turned on the charm. It was phony, of course. LOL*
Hillary waltzed into her old enemy’s office and perkily said, “I thought I’d surprise you.” And he ended up endorsing her. *haha
Makes that McCain choice easier and easier. The Dems want to be Delay/Rove Republicans.
At a certain point HRC may have to leave the party.
It’s not sexism. It is high-stakes power politics.
It is also sexism. They did not try this with male politicians.
99 problems and the Bastard ain’t one of mine …
Perhaps this is what Barry and Hillary were discussing tonight at HER washington house!
They were at Diane Finestein’s house … sorry to be the one to share it … I may have misspelled her last name …
Friends,
In American politics, It is about influence peddling and the role of money in politics. I believe that many feel that US politics is being strong-armed by special interests and PAC money. These have destroyed the economy and derailed foreign politics, especially Middle Eastern politics. BO’s appeal to the DNC is all about how he devised an apparatus that bypassed traditional money raising techniques and their very negative influences. I believe that for that ONLY, the DNC is eternally grateful, and they will do ANY and EVERY thing to harness and protect this. Hillary was the sacrificial lamb, especially so since SHE is deeply engrained in the mechanisms of the old influence peddlers.
NOONE WILL SAY THESE THINGS OPENLY.
And BOs security detail will be tripled; he does not present a threat to Hillary, but to the influence peddlers who have a stranglehold on American politics.
Money Peddlers? Obama is owned by George Soros. He’ll get all the money he wants. Maybe we should all be looking into what Soros wants.
I truly wish I believed this. I don’t see that he has done anything different re special interests except found a way to be dishonest about it, by getting around the disclosure laws. That’s even worse. At least when they disclose there’s some accountability.
This would make a good topic for a thread. I am willing to hear from Obama supporters who are civil and who will debate facts, not throw insults.
I would like to hear more about what you are saying, with more specifics. I have read in many places about Obama’s money from Wall St., energy companies (I know Exelon is a big contributor), insurance and pharmaceuticals. Instead he has bundlers getting it.
I agree, it is about the money. Obama has found a way to own the DNC, who is now owned even more by special interests. Why else is corporate media selling him 24/7. I suggest you check further. If you have accurate info I’m not aware of on this important topic, I would like to hear that, too.
Sadly, I think you are mistaken, as are Obama’s many trusting and idealistic supporters. But it should be debated, with as many facts as possible.
Gosh, I love Harriet Christian!!! lol She is no joke! Very candid and she held her own. It takes a lot of guts to go do an interview on Fox, even though Neil isn’t anything like O’Reilly with his doggedness, but she didn’t flinch once! Love her! Obama is completely unqualified and it’s a disgusting thing that we are supposed to just get behind him when Hillary, the qualified and ready on day one candidate is being shoved out. Vote NOvember to Obama and anybody. Even Hillary.
Sugar…..one thing that has truly moved me are the women who have gotten the courage to speak out. I swear, when those ladies who started the Womencounttoo went on Bill O’Reilly, I was floored. Bless their hearts, they actually held up a poster board with an e-mail addy. That’s how unsavvy they were. Just women who have made their way in life and done a pretty darn good job of it, too.
They inspire me. They are me, you, and others. Nothing fancy. Just women who figured out how to bring home the bacon and pop a burrito in as a snack to hold off the kids until we got home.
When Hillary gave her final speech, I was so proud she acknowledged us all. I don’t care that the nasty pundit writers said her speech was selfish. It was anything but selfish. She could have acted like she’s a toughie and ignored us, but she didn’t.
She knows we would never have risked speaking up if we weren’t dead serious. She knows.
For that, I’ll always be grateful.
The idiots will get around to recognizing this eventually.
Not today. But one day……
I know that I am not the only one who is very upset with the whole thing…how the media treated Hillary and how Obama cheated the primaries. How can I even think that everything will be fine at the end? Please someone tell me our country is going to be OK. Please someone tell me that Hillary still has a chance. Hope she will be back for us after taking some rest. I enjoyed this video very much and I do believe you will like it, too.

Hiro……I am not really upset. Progress is always in inches.
And often, the real progress is only seen in hindsight.
I think this will all work out fine, even for AA’s. It’s a compliment to hold him to the same standards as others. That’s a step forward.
And look at the good stuff. We’re all now exposed to the AA preacher style of talk. We’re debating only the content, and that’s still very fair to criticize. But only a few people are flustered by the style.
Here’s another optimistic point. MSN and other major networks lost 17 million viewers last year. I note the similarity in the number with the voters. *haha
That’s all the networks care about. Viewers. So it’s slow but it’ll work.
The Chris Matthews style is going to be history. I’m convinced.
I think this is what bothers me most of all. I don’t know any racists. I know people who go out of their way to avoid the appearance of racism. Then we hear about Jeremiah Wright and hear some of the racist crap he has preached for over 20 years. He taught hatred of whites..and got rich doing so. Now we are supposed to elect one of his parishioners? I don’t think so. If there is a race problem in America, it has been propagated by ministers like Jeremiah Wright…and that has harmed our country.
Sorry annin, we women have been trying for inches too damn long. I don’t want an inch, I want a mile. Having a penis doesn’t qualify you to do anything put pee standing up. Look at the example of almost any office. The women do the work and the men get the money.
I thought she was a crazy racist old lady. The media told me so. And we know they never lie.

OK…be good girls now and fall in line!

I damn near flipped the T.V. over this morning as I was getting ready for work. Now the asshole media are talking up how badly “some media” treated Hillary and how she is so strong and smart and….and….and…ASSHOLES! They go on and say how ALL the women will “come to their senses” and “fall in line” once Hillary tells them to.
Who the HELL do they think they are talking about? I (even) as a MAN am insulted at the whole premise. What and who do they think they are talking about? Does the media or anyone else think the lions share of the Hillary supporters will forget that the have been called “uneducated”, “emotional”, “typical white”, an so on? This IS bigger than Hillary. This has been a blood bath of sexism and insult for all Hillary supporters as well as Hillary herself.
I for one will DIE before anyone including Hillary can convince me to sell my soul to the devil. At the end of the day I have to stand for something and it sure as hell is not the same thing that Obama stands for. I don’t forget my enemies and I don’t bed down with them.
I have worked side by side with some of the strongest and smartest women the world has to offer in my opinion as a nurse. We have a bond that is more than skin or genitalia deep. The Obama /Media Machine has insulted and attacked my daughter, my wife, many of my past teachers, mentors and friends. NO…I will not “get over it” and don’t bother asking! Any woman or man who respects himself and the women in his life, had better be ready make a stand and show some moral and ethical integrity. Screw the “Party”, the “Party” tossed our asses out. Now is the time to prove “them” wrong ,and the only way to do that, is to show “them”, that the women they keep referring to, will not just “fall in line”. I repeat….Screw the “Party!”
They are men who don’t have real relationships with women, that’s all.
If they do, they know better. LOL*
Note the pundits who “get this.” Note the length of their marriages.
u make sense .
I’m with you — Nobody is going to mug me and then call me up for a date. I have had it with the media the DNC and Barack Arrogant Obama. Two days ago when asked if he would do anything to placate Hillary’s voters he said I’m not going to spend much time on it. Now he goes to the Clinton’s house to grovel. Screw him–I ain’t ready to make nice and where Obama’s concerned I never will be.
The one thing in her speech the other night that was a real slap to Obama/Marxist was the she said she wanted her 18 million voters to be respected.
OBAMA/MARXIST DID NOT RESPECT THE 18 MILLION VOTERS WHO CHOOSE TO VOTE FOR HILLARY BECAUSE WE THINK SHE IS THE MOST QUALIFIED
No, they made it that we were redneck, hillbillies, uneducated, uninformed, idiots, racist.
He will never get our respect. You cannot shit on people and then expect them to vote for you to be the leader of the free world.
How’s that Chicago cleanup going? If he couldn’t clean up the corruption in Chicago what does he think he is going to do in Washington? Oh, yeah, he is just moving out one mob and replacing it with another from Chicago. I would say Al Capone would be proud.
NO OBAMA/MARXIST
HILLARY OR MCCAIN 2008
You’re making Hillary supporters look bad. Obama is not a Marxist, Obama is a right wing thug.
Seriously, the Obama cult are the ones that are suppose to look like idiots.
Hillary is further to left than Obama and it really annoys me to see a few of my so called Hillary allies ranting and raving about how Obama is such an extreme lefty. If Obama was any sort of leftist I’d be on that bandwagon.
I agree. She’s far more progressive. He’s really weak. He’ll fold into the status quo fast.
His PR problem is his history, of course, but I don’t think he’s got a passionate bone in his body.
The guy is a suit.
Obama was doing an event and he was taking questions. One woman stood up, her husband has lost his job. They couldn’t afford to pay for healthcare. They were losing their home and their child was sick. The woman was sobbing. Obama said — When Michelle and I bought our current home it was a bit of a struggle but we really like living there. The audience was incredulous–this woman had just revealed her innermost sadness and Obama felt nothing.
George W. Obama…”Now watch this drive…”
By the way, I think that’s really what Harriet was trying to say when she called him “inadequate.”
He’s just another guy. That’s why all this race stuff is sort of ironic. He’s not even all that interested in race. I’m convinced. He’s just wants the attention of being the big guy.
He hates Bill for that status.
But I don’t think Obama is at all a marxist or any of that stuff. That would take imagination.
Read his policies. They are profoundly lacking in imagination and passion. LOL*
He’s mediocre is what he is.
The ones he stole verbatim from Hillary are pretty good. The problem is that for him they are “just words,” and he would make no effort to implement any of them.
And his main policy differences were “generational”, a “sop” to his youthful base. He advocated some sort of privatization of Social Security, and no mandates for health insurance coverage (except for children); positions favored primarily by his youthful base.
There is a world of difference between the big dog and that little snake in the grass.
Well, you are entitled to your opinion. But, I am not backing down on my view. If you read about Black Liberation Theology and its embrace of Marxism you will see.
But, we can agree to disagree. I hope we can still work together to defeat Obama/Marxist.
NO OBAMA/MARXIST

JUST SAY NO TO BLACK LIBERATION MARXIST THEOLOGY
Rumor has it that Obama’s going to pick Webb as his VP, not Marxist. I haven’t heard anything about your guy - never heard of him in fact. Or her, but if he chooses a women that isn’t Hillary, I’m going to be PIIIIIIIIIIIIIISED like a mother@#%@#$ if you know what I’m saying.
Obama/Webb or Obama/Marxist, deson’t make a difference to me - all three of them are going down.
jessie — Black Liberation Theology is the elephant in the room. Could you explain what this is.
This is kinda basic but there is alot out there and is the Marxist theology preached at Trinity Church where Obama/Marxist was in the pews (but he says he was sleeping the whole time)for 20 years
Simply put, Liberation Theology is an attempt to interpret Scripture through the plight of the poor. It is largely a humanistic doctrine. It started in South America in the turbulent 1950’s when Marxism was making great gains among the poor because of its emphasis on the redistribution of wealth, allowing poor peasants to share in the wealth of the colonial elite and thus upgrade their economic status in life. As a theology, it has very strong Roman Catholic roots. (This is where he gets his connection with crazy Father Fluggger)
Liberation Theology was bolstered in 1968 at the Second Latin American Bishops Conference which met in Medellin, Colombia. The idea was to study the Bible and to fight for social justice in Christian (Catholic) communities. Since the only governmental model for the redistribution of the wealth in a South American country was a Marxist model (gained in the turbulent 1950’s), the redistribution of wealth to raise the economic standards of the poor in South America took on a definite Marxist flavor. Since those who had money were very reluctant to part with it in any wealth redistribution model, the use of a populist (read poor) revolt was encouraged by those who worked most closely with the poor. As a result, the Liberation Theology model was mired in Marxist dogma and revolutionary causes.
As a result of its Marxist leanings, by the 1980’s the Catholic hierarchy, from Pope John Paul on down, had criticized liberation theology as practiced by the bishops and priests of South America. As a result, they have been accused of supporting violent revolutions and outright Marxist class struggle by the top hierarchy of the Catholic Church. This perversion usually is the result of a humanist view of man being codified into Church Doctrine by zealous priests and bishops and explains why the Catholic top hierarchy now want to separate themselves from a Marxist doctrine and revolution.
However, Liberation Theology has moved from the poor peasants in South America to the poor blacks in America. We now have Black Liberation Theology being preached in the black community. It is the same Marxist, revolutionary, humanistic philosophy found in South American Liberation Theology and has no more claim for a scriptural basis than the South American model has. False doctrine is still false, no matter how it is dressed up or what fancy name is attached to it. In the same way that revolutionary fervor was stirred up in South America, Liberation Theology is now trying to stir up revolutionary fervor among Blacks in America. If the church in America recognizes the falseness of Black Liberation Theology as the Catholic Church did in the South American model, Black Liberation Theology will suffer the same fate that the South America Liberation Theology did, namely it will be seen to be the false doctrine of a humanist viewpoint dressed up in theological termss:
SO, IT IS MY OPINION HE COULD NOT HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS IS WHAT WHAT PREACHED IN THE CHURCH
I also believe this is where Michelle Obama/Marxist gets her ideas about “somebody has to give up a piece of their pie.”
NO OBAMA/MARXIST
HILLARY OR MCCAIN 2008
According to a Black Religious Scholar, Black Liberation Theology can most easily be summed up in three main core beliefs:
1) Everything wrong in Black people’s world is because of white racism. (aka “everything is the white man’s fault”).
2) Belief in perpetual victimization among Blacks. (”The white man’s holding you down”).
3) Solution? Marxist doctrine (from demand for slave reparations to strict socialism).
How can anyone rise in this kind of environment? Instead of hope - it preaches hate and victimization. Corruption to boot in Chicago. It’s very sad and demoralizing and breeds hatred among races. Dr. King would be turning in his grave. Thank goodness many Blacks are beginning to reject this - like the hero: Bill Cosby.
Thank you
Somehow Obama’s radical associates have given him the moniker of Marxist he does not deserve. At the end of the day William Ayers had a rich daddy who kept him out of prison by hiring him good defense lawyers. At the end of the day, Mr. Ayers has never turned his back on the family cashflow!
So true with Obama. He wants money, position, and power, and has surrounded himself with University of Chicago economists who are anything but for a socialist state. Look at how he as championed Ronald Reagan as a “transcendental” figure? When Naomi Wolfe wrote her book “Shock Doctrine” she was siting Republican administrations and their hurtful international economic policies. Obama is really a Republican with a (D) after his name. He is another Joe Lieberman!
citing (not siting) CORRECTION
Agree. Glad you pointed that out, left.
Please everyone, don’t call him Marxist any more. The Soviet Union was a perversion of Marxism, which is simply an economic system that attempts to equalize differences between rich and poor. It has some good points, some bad. I don’t agree with most of it, but one thing is for sure, Obama is not a Marxist. Believe me, if he were, he would not be running for president on Dem Party.
Fascist, maybe, but not Marxist.
Fair point. I call Obama a Marxist because he reminds me of a few Marxist professors that I knew in grad. school. In particular, his “bitter” speech was undiluted Marxist “false consciousness”.

Hey Susan. A little something for all of us to hold on to for whenever old Jimmy Carter opens his trap again about Obama. Back in 2006, here he is on Charlie Rose saying Obama doesn’t have the “proven substance or experience to be president” He was responding to questions about a possible Obama run, this year.
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=03f_1212526049
Look for that to be included in a new Republican ad … don’t you love the scary eyebrow up and down thing? God. And we voted for him? LOL!
Oh, no. He didn’t do the “eyebrow of sincerity” move that is Huckabee’s trademark, did he?
I just went to the Recreat 68 website.
When the country sees what will happen at the Democratic Convention - I predict they will all run to the polls in November and vote McCain because the shit they are planning is so well kinda like what goes on at the Burning Man in Nevada in the desert.
I guess William Ayes wants to recreat his youth. Pitiful guy. The Black Party will be there with their usual Black Panther shit oh, wait, that is the New Black Panther Party I hear Donna Brazile will be the Queen of their Parade.
Go ahead dems scare the shit out of the country. You think that is going to make them want to vote for your affirmative action candidate.

My son LOVES Burning Man. Goes every year and considers it his spiritual respite. LOL* (I think it has a lot more to do with the bare-breasted women who bicycle around. But hey, I’m a mom and a bit more realistic.)
There’s nothing wrong with the spirit of the youth. They definitely need to be reined in on behavior.
I am not saying there is anything wrong with Burning Man that is a festival for mostly young people but it is not propaganda it is letting loose for fun. I am just saying that the Recreate 68 is going to be propaganda shit and to the average American it will scare them.
They will equate all democrats with the Recreate 68 chaos. Which, I guess, is a good thing because they will associate it with the new boss Obama/Marxist.

They pull this every year - I wouldn’t worry about it. I don’t think there’s been a convention that HASN’T had a freak parade outside it in the last 12 election cycles.
The Republicans are going to have code pink and the Paultards up their ass, and god knows Minnesota is full of those types. The Dems are going to have a bunch of Burningman types. Happens every year. The MSM covers it up, as usual.
They should report the truth.
Sorry, jessie, but my family is from Cicero - Capone country - and Capone was a straight shooter, just a proud-to-be-a-mob-head kind a guy. So, compared to bhusseino, he was pretty honest- he was who he was. No, I don’t really think Capone would be proud.

Harriet Christian. There’s a woman who speaks her mind. Of course, in Obama land, she’s dismissed as a typical white person.
Oh, here’s an ironic night cap. I just looked back at the header of this brave lady’s video;
harriet C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N (although I think with her chutzpah, she’s probably Jewish.
Got laugh - thinking of the subliminal effect of the banner on Fox when she spoke so frankly - saying things that no Hill campaign staff would ever be allowed to say… Whose standing up against Rev. Wrong’s gang’s tax-free hate-fest in the name of God?
Ms. Christian!
Reality always trumps fiction.
Harriet Christian was expressing an anger and frustration that many of us feel today.
I am not a racist. I vote for the person, not the color. I would vote for Big Bird if Big Bird had the experience and was qualified to be President of the United States.
I voted for Lyndon Johnson, the father of the Civil Rights Act. I have campaigned and voted for people who are black. I campaigned for Maxine Waters. I voted for Jesse Jackson. They were and are both experienced in how to work for the good of people. They both had and have experience with dealing with the government.
I do not see this experience in Obama. What I see in Obama is a man who has a great deal of experience in letting others do his job for him and very little experience in actually doing his job.
I see someone who has less experience than our current President did when he came into office.
I see a boy who disowned the only other black child in his class at Punaho, so that he would not experience the isolation that other child was feeling.
I see a man who rejected the complaints of no heat and no water from his black constituency in Chicago one cold winter and did nothing to help them, proving the child is indeed father to the man.
I see a man who is now denying the people he has called friends for 20 years, in order to win an election. I see a man who shows no loyalty.
I see a man who lets others fight his battles and bully people for him and then claims to know nothing about those actions. I see a coward.
I see a man who says he will bring change, but owes his position, his life, his money to the Chicago Political Machine and because of his political debts will not be able to govern effectively, but will dance like a puppet to the Chicago pols tune.
I see no man, just an empty suit.
I cannot vote for an empty suit.
Wow, Harriet Christian’s not the only one who’s expressing my feelings! Thanks, Salliort.
I can’t vote for an empty suit either. I’m like the Scooby Doo gang - I see an empty suit and I get scared at first cause I think it’s a ghost - maybe not as scared as Shaggy but there are shake lines around me. But then 30 minutes later (including commercials) I pull the mask off of the Frankenstein looking thing that’s haunting the house and it turns out to be the hotel owner or whatever the whole time.
That’s what this election is going to be all about. Go Harriet!
salliort — My first vote was for LBJ. After he got Civil Rights Act of 1965 passed — rioting broke out in cities all over the country. Johnson said later — I tried to do what was right for the Black People, why do they hate me?
If that quote you attributed to Johnson is accurate, then he thought too highly of himself. The anger that caused blacks to riot had been brewing for hundreds of years and several generations. That is what social injustice does to people.
I wonder if blacks will one day progress to rioting at sporting events and rock concerts and hockey games like whites do, rather than for social injustice.
excellent post! NObama, no way, no how.
Fantastic comment.. this election cycle is very sad.. very troubling.

This woman spoke her mind and millions of other women feel exactly the same way and will vote accordingly.
Well she is correct — Obama IS an “inadequate black male” — there is NOTHING wrong with the word inadequate because that is EXACTLY what he is completely and utterly inadequate for the job of President. He is an inadequate Senator — his voting record is one of the worst in the Senate. He is absolutely inadequate as a candidate.
What he does seem to be adequate at is that he is a crook in the Chicago political machine. He is one of the main players.
Harriet Christian is good — and probably speaks for MILLIONS.
He WILL lose in November! That is a fact.
Harriet is right. I’m glad she spoke her mind, and I also have respect for my elders and I understand that she has seen a lot more than me…so the injustice must feel intolerable to her.
Harriet: ALL the Obama people call ALL the Hillary supporters racist. Welcome to the club!
Obama and Obama-media even made out Bill and Hillary to be racists. UNFORGIVABLE.
I dropped the dem party today and now I am independent. It was very exciting acually. I even sent off PUMA letters to Howard Dean, and my own personal goodbye rants, and then I also called the DNC–yelled at someone, and then left a recorded message for Dean. LOL. I did feel better afterward though.
–I have a question…OBAMA has the power to keep Howard Dean as DNC chair?
Bad move.
Harriet Christian is awesome. Thick NY Jewish accent, but Christian last name. She represents how many women feel.
I wonder if it would have come off better if she had said he is inadequate, and we are being blackmailed into having him as our candidate otherwise we are branded as racists.

I truly believe Obama was running to be VP - however, he never thought Americans could be so easily fooled by pretty words and so utterly consumed by white guilt to let him be president. His ego of course, will not let him step down even though he is so highly unqualified - admitted by himself in 2004. Yet, in 2006, he felt 130 days in the Senate and one bill passed gave him the experience needed at this most difficult, dangerous, tumultuous time in our history. Boy - are Democrats easily fooled. Thank goodness the general electorate isn’t.
I had the same thought a few months ago…couldn’t figure out how he could be running with so little exp & then thought he was probably gunning for vp, like how Edwards ended up. I’ve read a lot of other theories though that he was put up by Soros & co so they could have their own puppet. Not sure what to believe now…except that he sure isn’t qualified to be Pres.
You know what I find amazing. You people ranted and raved about how Senator Obama couldnt win the nomination and he did. Now you rant and rave about how he cant win the GE and he WILL.
Guess what I want to know is - when will you face up to reality?
He didn’t win. There is no nominee until the vote at the Convention. His “lead” is manufactured by caucus shenanigans, voter disenfranchisement and vote theft, plus an arcane byzantine delegate selection system that rewarded AAs areas up to 3 times the delegates than Hillary supporters.
When reality bites you in the butt this fall as McCain makes Obama into even more of a loser than McGovern/Mondale/Kerry all combined, we will not only face up to it, we will cheer it on.
Got Rezko?
See Rezko verdict.
Hear Rezko singing.
Speak Obama indicted.
That’s reality Obama-nut, deal with it. Regardless of whether you hear from the propaganda arm (MSM) justice marches on. He’s up to his neck in Rezko. That’s why the all out rush to presumptive nominee status. But fate will catch up to the straw man. The proverbial Manchurian candidate, stop by none other than the wheels of justice and the instincts of the thinking American people.
When people are courageous enough to think for themselves, democracy survives. The actions Fascists thinkers, aka Obamabots, reveal the righteousness of our cause. To save democracy. To save America.
That’s my new dream reality–Obama doing the perp walk.
I wonder if it would have come off better if she had said he is inadequate, and we are being blackmailed into having him as our candidate otherwise we are branded as racists.
Someone needs to say it publicly and keep repeating it: Obama supporters are playing racial blackmail.
I feel like posting today’s groceries just to fit in.
Judging by your post, that is your mission in life. Difference of opinion? What’s that? We are the O-borg. You will be assimilated.
Astute analysis, Kinky. He’s currently at that “Now what?” climax of The Candidate.
Well, now the beatings begin in earnest.
I believe she’s wrong on that account.
Most blacks know precisely why they’re voting for him, and it has little to do with his qualifications and experience. And it ain’t pretty either.
There Will Be Bamboozling
you’re all just a bunch of typical white people.
you love harriet christian because she’s not afraid to speak her mind. you support hillary clinton because she’s the best candidate for the job. you won’t vote for barack obama because he’s not qualified to be president.
see?
you’re all just a bunch of typical white people. (except, of course, for those of you who are typical asians, etc.)
uh, peter…
it’s a bell that can’t be unrung, kid. give it up.

Thanks for that. It’s hard to watch.
I never really thought sexism was that prevalent until this Primary brought it to the forefront. I worked at a company years ago that told me flat out that I would not get the promotion because they did not believe that the CEO’s I would be dealing with would take me seriously. He (my employer) said ” I can’t quite put my finger on it but you just have that woman thing” - I QUIT. I thought they were ignorant, now I see it as much larger issue.
What a brave and articulate woman.
I will probably end up voting for Obama because of the SCOTUS issue, but I completely understand how she and many others will not.
I too have reservations about his readiness for the office of the Presidency. After 8 years of the Bush administration, we needed first and foremost someone with a track record in competent governance.
Instead, we got symbolism. I’m glad a black man made it this far. Unfortunately, we have a country on the rocks. I would have much preferred that Hillary Clinton be the Democratic nominee because SHE could have beaten McCain and governed effectively.
SCOTUS long ago stopped being an issue that Obama can use to get my vote.
I don’t understand how they can keep from laughing when they implore us to vote for Obama so he will protect our right to choose. The only difference between Obama and McCain on this issue is that McCain is honest about his beliefs. The votes are already there to overturn Roe v. Wade if the Court chooses to do so, and they are there because Democrats were too cowardly to fight the appointment of Roberts and Alito.
Exactly. The Dems never fight. So why should I keep voting for them? I think they hate Hillary because she does fight. If the GOP wanted Roe vs Wade gone, the Dem congress would help them.
Haven’t we seen that over and over enough? Social Security would have been privatized in 05 , expect for the
fact the PEOPLE pushed that back . When Bush started his road trip trying to sell that scam,DC Dem’s started ringing their hands ready to cave if called. It didn’t get that far, Thank God. However they have just cheated in a ” Dem ” whoes Wall St. backers want that SS money damn it. Thanks Dems! You keep shitting on the average people, you are good at that
Harriet Christian is speaking for MILLIONS of women. She is one courageous lady.
I used to read and enjoy this blog, and checked in recently after a few months away. Wow! Who knew what kookiness lurked under that ridiculous haircut.
And who knows what emptiness lies between those two big pointy ears of Obama?
Sorry folks.. “Black” is not a racist word. You are being “Obamacized” into thinking any race reference put The Precious down.
It is when his race is being linked to his inadequacies.
If Harriet the loon wanted to say that Obama was an inadequate candidate, I’m sure her big mouth would have had no problem finding those words. Unfortunately she made the mistake of letting her true colors show when she decided that he was inadequate BECAUSE he was black and shouted that belief to the world.
Apparently being “Obamacized” is synonymous with having common sense and functioning powers of reason.

(spelling error corrected)
I received an email from the DNC and it was signed off by Howard Dean begging money to help send Barack Obama to the White House. Here is what I wrote back:
“I will not send a dime to the DNC. I am registering as an Independent, and I am sure you all know why. Good luck on your quest.”
The nerve of them. They hijacked the election and want me to support them. Hell no!!! Because hell hath no fury like a democrat scorned.
because i moved, i had to re-register in february before the primaries in the new county. except from some local politicians i did not get any letters from DNC. i guess takes them months to update the list. and it will take them even longer, after november, to find out who left.
not surprising that dead people can still vote
I’m so glad that lady got on Fox.
we’re down the rabbit hole when we give delegates to someone who was not in the contest.
Stalin would be proud.
I think Harriet Christian did an excellent job of speaking extemporaneously; something our “eloquent” and “presumptive nominee” can’t do.
I don’t know if everyone caught what she said about her participation in the Civil Rights Movement, but this lady has been there and done it. While Obama mentor Ayers was blowing up buildings, Harriet Christian was risking her life to insure racism did not prevent any citizen from exercising his/her right to vote.
I can understand her frustration after all she did to bring about racial equality to find that women were left out of the equality doctrine. And anyone who criticizes her for that is the racist and the bigot.
When I got an email from Howard Dean telling me that the campaign would now be financed by “ordinary people”, I wrote back that this ordinary person was sending HER money to John McCain! The only way that won’t happen is if Hillary is the official nominee! I cannot be convinced to vote for a sexist man with links to racist and anti-American people, no matter who his vp is, no matter what Hillary asks me to do!
And, for those who believe that calling white, Latino, Asian, and Native people racists will guilt-trip them into voting for Obama: those twits are ALREADY Obama supporters! And anybody who truly IS a racist will sashay right into that private voting booth and vote however he/she wants!
I was looking for the definition of SDS one day and happened to look in Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. This is is a [history] lesson from the 1960s to the present. It is in two sections, 1960 and 2006. I didn’t realize just how many organizations had spun off the SDSes (Students for a Democratic Society) and how many of those radicals were still active and working for Obama. It turned out to be a loooooong definition of SDS.

What the fuck does uploading a video to YouTube have to do with your servers? Are you all a bunch of morons there or what?
No, dumbass, the only morons here are you Obamabutts.
These fools can’t help themselves.
If they had half a brain, they’re wouldn’t be Obamatons.
Do any Obamaicans know how to dialogue without using profanity?
Their total sum is profane. They had a good (or bad depending on how you look at it) teacher by the name of Obama.
Oh, look, another crybaby.
News flash: she still lost.
so did obama
Such a juvenile response but so expected!
News flash: she won the popular vote.
News flash: he couldn’t win the delegate count without cheating.
News flash: McCain wins. Obama doesn’t even carry Idaho.
He cheated? Last time I checked Obama wasn’t the head of the DNC. Howard Dean was. And it’s funny that Hillary ALSO voted to strip Fla. and Mi. of their delegates back when she didn’t need their votes. Of course, then that “inadequate BLACK man” started kicking her rump up and down the mason-dixon and suddenly *gasp* the former first lady is the “champion of disenfranchised voters”.
GMAB. Obama did get one thing wrong. People like you cling to ignorance and selective memory rather than guns or religion.
they’re=they
When you call people racists- who aren’t. The only thing you accomplish is desensatizing people to the REAL racists. Thus, the are able to operate more freely spreading their vile because good people will be less likely to call them out.
If this hasn’t set race relations back forty years, I don’t know what would.
Barack Need You
Polls show Obama cannot win without Hillary voters, its shows women are flocking in great masses to McCain, So now Obama needs the old typical white bitter gun toting working class white less influenced women and men. Hillary has become so important to his candidacy, shes a sweetie. Chicago slicker went to put the mack down on Hill. Bragging about all the dollars he got and how many souls he has brought, offered to pay off her debt and put some “CHANGE” in her pockets. If she prostituted I meant join him and bring in her(HOs)oops voters. He told her to do this for the bro man typo Party. He said come on Hill get jungle fever with us let me welcome you into My Barack O Chocolate City. Tell your HOs damn VOTERS to shut the fuck up (calm down) fall in line and love Barack..Demand they say the YES WE CAN slogan so I can feel their love for me. Now lets go proclaim I am the One and all should kneel before me. A few months later President McCain visit the senate to speak with Senator Obama.
With apologies to the original song writer:
Yes, it’s over
Yes, it’s over, call it a day
Sorry that it had to end this way
No reason to pretend
We knew it had to end some day, this way
Guess it’s over, the kids are all you’ve got
What’s the use of tryin’ to hang on
Somewhere we lost the key
So little left for you and me and it’s clear to see
Too much, too little, too late to fall in line with you
Too much, too little, too late to fall in line with you
We’re in the middle of ending something that we knew
much, too little, too late to ever try again
Guess it’s over, the chips are down (whoa)
Nearly all our bridges tumbled down
Whatever chance we had, let’s face it why deny
It’s over (It’s over)
It’s over
Too much, too little, too late to ever try again
Too much, too little, too late, to fall in line with you
Too much, too little, too late, we knew it had to end
Too much, too little, too late to ever try again
Too much, too little, too late, to fall in line with you.
The fact that you celebrate this person tells me all I need to know.
Obviously not. You’re still here. But the fact that you want to make an unqualified, unelectable conman the nominee of the Democratic Party sure tells us a lot about you.
Good lord. The last thing this poor addled hate-filled woman needs is greater exposure. That you don’t seem to understand you are only adding to the ridicule, says far more about you than her, of course.
Is this today’s theme? “Says more about you.” Have you no creativity at all? Must you always just repeat the talking points verbatim? You’re boring as well as stupid.
And you’re missing the point. What this video really says something about is Obama’s chances this fall. There are enough women like Harriet Christian that are so angry about what Obama, Dean, Pelosi and Brazile have done to this party that Obama doesn’t stand a chance in the GE.
Ridicule from Obamabutts does not even slightly faze anyone as tough as Harriet Christian; but how ever will anyone as sensitive as Obama be able to cope with the ridicule which will heaped upon him this fall after he suffers the embarrassing, humiliating, landslide defeat that McCain is going to dish out.
And yet, you are here to “criminalize her” to people who find her refreshingly honest and admirably outspoken? Irony appears to be lost on you!
Obama, the unity guy, has used accusations of racism to ostracize and marginalize anyone who dares to raise legitimate concerns about his candidacy. More echos of another great “uniter”, Bush, who used the terrorist label to marginalize his critics.
Obama supporters scream “racism” to drown out the internal noise of cognitive dissonances that arise when they’re confronted with the realities of his actions and inadequacies. Obama has appropriated the politics of race and gender and has opportunistically twisted them to serve his own agenda.
Looks like the social security program me be redirected toward reparation for the local slave descendents and Kenya. According to Michelle Obama America is now resonsibile for all of Africa’s problems too.
Here’s the scary parallels:
Not a Obama supporter = Racist
Not a Bush supporter = Non Christian
I will not vote for Obama no matter if he puts Hillary on the ticket. The DNC thinks we will just run back to party they are wrong. I think our voices will be heard where it counts in November. I don’t care if Hillary begs me to support Obama. I will never vote for him. As far as I am concerned let the vetting being.
Bravo Harriet! I’ve had it with all of the fawning over this do nothing guy because he speaks well. His accomplishments are meager and insubstantial. He is suspect about whether he loves this country or not, whether he hates white people or not, whether he will work to help ALL people (that includes whites, by the way) or whether he has a black liberation agenda.
He has rejected his white mother, grandmother, and from the looks of it, the entire white side of his ‘heritage’. I have no problem whatsoever in rejecting Obama, and I could care less whether or not I am called a racist. Frankly, I’m leaning more and more in that direction, the more I hear from and about this undeserving, inexperienced man. I won’t accept the double standard of blacks voting for him solely because he is black. THAT IS RACIST So what if my ancestors may have owned slaves? I’ve never owned a single one and I’m not going to be railroaded by in your face blacks to pay for their mistakes.
If Harriet gave Barack Obama one of her cojones, then he’d have one and she’d still have two.
And Dean would still have none.

I’ve never owned a single one and I’m not going to be railroaded by in your face blacks to pay for the errors of our ancestors.
Watched Stephanie Tubbs Jones on Abrams last night. She’s more qualified than Obama to be president. Clinton should have used her more to speak for her on tv.
Larry:
The media consistently hangs on to the idea that Hillary supporters will get over her loss and vote for Obama come November. Well I would like if you could do a poll after Hillary gives her concession speech to see how many of Hillary’s 18 million supporters will honestly vote for Obama.
I wrote the DNC a letter explain that i am fully aware Obama cannot win without Hillary supporters thats why he didn’t win CA, NY, NJ, MA, FL, PA, OH and its no caucuses in the GE making if further impossible for him to win ..so lets cut through the case if you truly want us to take back the white house its up to you a Clinton/Obama ticket and the white house is yours..get back to me when you want to win.
Harriett is a hero.
Harriet is an entitled loon. And yes, she’s racist to boot.
I saw Harriet at the DNC meeting (on tv) and I was very proud of her. EVERY…well almost every American that DID NOT vote for Obama feels this way. What part of that doesn’t Obama get? I see it like this, Hillary can endorse him all she wants (which by the way I hear Hillary isn’t going to use the word ‘endorse’ - we’ll see won’t we?) however, I refuse to vote for Obama ‘if’ he’s the nominee. I still think that ’something’ is going to come out that he can’t slither away from. Once and for all.
Has Sonia posted, recently?
I tend to comment at this site every few days or so, and was surprised to see comments from another “Sammie” and although it is most likely just a coincidence, it struck me as odd, as I’ve seen name jacking occur at other sites.
Some have been quick to label Harriet as a racist, but it would be in everyone’s best interest to calm down with the name calling and labeling. Granted, her reference to inadequate black man may have been jarring, but I think her intent was to indicate that he is not qualified for the position yet (his inadequacy stems from his lack of experience). To be honest, I believe her comments will resonate with a number of voters, as the term inexperienced has come up frequently for Obama in polling.
When people who have had a history of supporting or working for Civil Rights get labeled as racists, it really takes a lot of power and meaning away from the label. I fear true racists may become more comfortable speaking out once every single person who dares to say anything negative about Obama has that label slapped on them. I also fear we could see a backlash from people who become annoyed with the claims of widespread racism (as in people voting to do away with any remaining affirmative action programs).
To be fair, I have the same concern about jumping to label people as sexists, because it can take attention away from the true offenders once every journalists or Obama supporter is slapped with the label.
After suffering through almost 8 years of Bush and this primary season, I must say I really don’t think I can take any more unity. Unity just doesn’t seem to be as good for this country as you would think it would be (it seems to require bullies to act as unity enforcers). At this point, I’m leaning towards supporting freedom of expression and individuality myself.
I agree with much that is said here, but a President Obama is much better than a President McCain.
And if the ticket is Obama/Clinton they will win in a landslide.
Winning in November is what this is all about. Can we afford McBush??????
Hillary is not going to be offered the VP spot and her being on it would not wrest my vote from my former Democratic now Independent fingers. Go Obama! Back to Illinois!
I wouldn’t vote for him even if he picked me to be vp. Crawl back in your hole, bo.
Will you do the same so that we true democrats can get down to business trying to prevent another catastrophic Republican administration from destroying our country and economy without you whinging cry-babies in the way?
Downriver Dem:
I’d like to agree with you, but for many (myself included), a Democratic victory is important, but it simply cannot be this dangerous and dishonest newbie candidate; I have some real misgivings about McCain, but I cannot reward bad behavior by the media, the DNC, party “elders”, or the Obama campaign. My self-respect and integrity are much more important than a Democratic victory in November. On a much smaller scale, I see this like turning off the TV when the kids are fighting, and telling them that they must behave and read a good book instead, when I would really want to leave the TV on and watch the Superbowl. I will forego my clear desires and preferences to make a point and stand up for principle. I would like to think that a Democratic Congress could keep McCain’s worst instincts in check, but I have so much less faith in the strength and abilities of a Democratic Congress than I have in the strength and abilities of Obama. The Congressional peformance of the Democrats has been (before and after 2006) incredibly disappointing and weak. Nevertheless, I have faith that the country will at least survive 4 years of McCain, and I can accept mere survival to make a point and uphold my own integrity and sleep at night. Bitter ? Hell, I’m outraged!!
Why specifically do you think Obama would be better than McCain?
Thought I’d share the response I sent to both the Hillary Clinton campaign’s latest e-mail and Howard Dean’s latest. Sorry for the lenght…
Dear Team Hillary,
I also would like to express my gratitude to all of you for everything you have done throughout this brutal and scary campaign. I would also like to ask you once again to reconsider taking the fight to the convention floor in August. I understand Hillary’s devotion to the Democratic Party, but I also ask that she (and all of you) understand several things:
1) The Democratic Party has completely turned it’s back on me and millions of other Americans who were fighting for a better America, and we do not take that as lightly as you seem to think.
2) I cannot in any way, shape or form condone the illegal and unconstitutional actions taken last Saturday regarding legal votes cast in Michigan and Florida. If these decisions are not reversed, I will be unable to support any Democratic Party candidates in November. I may choose to vote for some candidates if they appear on another party line, but I will not check the box for any person running on the Democratic line. That would include Senator Clinton. My vote is the only voice I have, and I intend to use as long as I still have it. (I am fortunate enough to live in a state that Senator Obama and Governor Dean have not yet chosen to silence, but as that state is NY I doubt that will take long to occur so this may be my last time to ever vote as our great Republic becomes a Banana Republic.)
3) I will contribute money to Senator Clinton, make phone calls, discuss her merits with everyone I meet, blog about her, and scream for justice until my voice gives out, but I will not under any circumstances support Senator Barack Obama for anything except indictment, prosecution and conviction for the crimes I believe he has committed prior to and during this campaign. Criminals do not belong in any public office, and certainly not in the highest office in the land. I will work diligently to ensure that Senator Obama is not elected to public office again in this country. As much as I respect and admire Senator Hillary Clinton, I do not share the belief that anything is better than Senator McCain. He is an honorable man and while he has many flaws and opinions that I do not share, I would sooner vote for any flawed but decent citizen than a man who has publicly stated again and again that I and millions of others do not count and he does not need or want our support. No conflict - he does not have it. If you doubt me, please check the records to see how many people have left the Democratic Party in the last month. While Senator Clinton is far and away my first and clear choice to be President, at this time the only other person who has a chance of obtaining my vote from Senator McCain (should the Democratic party continue on its misogynistic, racist and self-destructive present course) would be Mr. Nader. I am not alone in this belief.
4) I feel that the current Presidential election process in this country is further proof that we need to withdraw immediately from Iraq, now on moral grounds (or perhaps lack of morals). Is this what thousands of Americans and millions of Iraqis have died for? To convince another nation that we can somehow show them how to act when we ourselves have thrown any sense of democracy out the window? How long will it be before American women are expected to wear burkas and remain totally silent? How many Iraqis will ever believe that democracy works when we cannot make it work here? I and millions of Americans (and other nations around the world) would like an answer from Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid as to why the U.S. Congress has done nothing to end the war since gaining a majority in both houses in 2006. They have not done the job they were hired for, yet seem to have the time and energy to influence the election process in favor of a specific candidate. This is shameful and reprehensible behavior, and I respectfully ask Senator Clinton on our behalf to publicly pose this question to them and demand an honest answer. I am not naive enough to expect one, but I am bright enough to remember my concerns not only through November, but for quite some years to come.
5) I would further formally request that Senator Clinton use her public office to launch investigations by the FCC and FEC into the actions of the media throughout this election. There have been clear and blatant violations of the rules of both Commissions by virtually all broadcast and cable media, and I demand to see these regulatory bodies begin to actually regulate what is being done with television and radio airwaves that are in the public domain. These resources have clearly been used for biased political purposes, and their licenses all need to be reviewed and some revoked. Just because an institution has been granted the public trust for decades does not mean that trust can be violated without repercussions. If Senator Obama is above reproach, he should gladly join in this fight. Obviously that will not be the case.
6) I would like to know from the “leadership” of the Democratic Party precisely why they have blatantly ignored the public outcry for investigations into Barack Obama’s ties to convicted felon Antoin “Tony” Rezko.
7) I would like to know from the “leadership” of the Democratic Party precisely why they have blatantly ignored the public outcry for investigations into Barack Obama’s ties to the Iraqi Aiham Alsammarae and the theft of Iraqi reconstruction funds, and his support of PLO spokesman Rashid Khalidi.
Please, Senator Clinton, I urge you to continue your fight against the raping of democracy. Take your fight to Denver, or better still cut all ties to the domestic terrorist organization that the DNC has become and run on another ticket such as the New American Independent Party. Use your experience, strength, courage, and deep love for the America you and I both love to stop the divisiveness of Barack Obama, Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. Stop the atrocities they are committing and begin the restoration of a strong American built on the shoulders of a working class that consists of all races, genders, creeds, colors, ages, sexual orientations, faiths, nations of origins, military service, and physical conditions. For those of us that believe in the founding principles of this nation, the actions of this group strike as deeply as the September 11, 2001 attacks on America. The emptiness of the structure that stood before rings out with the wails of the thousands that have been disenfranchised and denied the right to fully participate in our electoral system, the bedrock of this great country. And like the 9-11 attacks, all of America stands united in our shock and grief, and we will remember.
Thank you,
Damn good.
Thanks. Emoticon was inadvertent.
I got a notice from the DNC asking for money. I replied not a dime. You know why.
Great letter. I wish I were that articulate. I just get mad and scare my dogs with all the cursing.
When I saw that stupid no money from lobbyist crap, I almost lost it in front of the cable guy that was here. Did you know bo spoke to a group of lobbyists just a couple of days ago?
Shades of Canada, where they told them not to worry, they were just words and nothing would change for them.
LOL LOL MessyMarcy, my feelings precisely!! Also, I plan to go back to MSNBC, CNN, DKos and all those other places on GE night and watch the wailing and screaming and clutching of bankies. (And of course, “it’s all Hillary’s fault!”) What sweet, sweet joy it will be.
One thing the Oborg does not get (among so many) is that the GOP doesn’t give a flying fig if people call them racist. They love it, they feed on it. If BO thinks he knows how to play the race card, he is in for a world of hurt.

I particularly liked the one question for Obama: “Do you realize hope is not a policy?”
Did no one seem to catch on to something Harriet Christian said about the RBC meeting?
How was it that Obama’s campaign was given 75% of the tickets for it and Clinton’s only 25% of the tickets that they had to fight for?
That is the ratio that the DNC has on Clinton people, well guess what 25% time to make it loud and clear that 25% equates to 50% more votes Bambi requires to just replace Clinton voters!
And there are no caucuses for Bambi to use Alinsky tactics at during a GE!
A friend who happens to be GOP precinct captain I spoke to this morning in the south has been instructed already to report for a meeting next month on how to deal with Obama style tactics at voting places in November, including finding additional people to be at the voting locations inside and out recording any actions that may occur, having every voter completely scrutinized for ID’s, Obama workers or supporters at voting places arrested for breaking any Federal Election rules including candidate signage in voting locations and to record evertything!
Police will be extremely busy in November! And dead people will not be voting this November! Intimidation at voting locations will have people thrown in jail and charges will not be dropped! Shame Dean didn’t enforce peoples rights during the Democratic nomination race!
It so saddens me that we have to rely on the Republicans to regulate things now. I’m glad they will be, but that’s exactly why the democrats will never win again. They aren’t ready for the grown-ups table.
Too right. The Republicans are the big guns. Howard Dean manages the pea shooters.
Of course if they hadn’t tried to stymie Hill all along they might have had a slam dunk anyway. The odds were a slim 99% so maybe they didn’t see such a remote possibility.
Far better to go with a dirty Chicago politician who gives Chris Matthews an erection or whatever he coyly called it.
A friend who happens to be GOP precinct captain I spoke to this morning in the south has been instructed already to report for a meeting next month on how to deal with Obama style tactics at voting places in November
Goodness. I won’t ask why Penn and Wolfson didn’t do something like that too.
over 10,000+ Hillary Supporters Joined To Defeat Obama
“We’re going to run campaign ads to defeat Obama,” says Ed Hale, a 63-year-old rancher and a Clinton supporter from Wellington, Texas. “We have doctors, lawyers, CPAs, the blue bloods, and then we have rednecks like me. It’s a very diversified organization.”
http://hcsfjm.com/
You go dude.
Hi folks. My name is Ed Hale and I am life long Democrat till May 31, 2008. When I saw those 30 people break the rules and make their own, and then to vote to take away 4 of Hillary Clinton’s delegates, but worst of all, make the uncommitted go for Obama, that was my last straw. What I saw today was what went on in the USSR (Russia) 30 years ago. The Boss’s called the shots, and I decide that I did not want any part of them.
They have treated Hillary Clinton worst than I would treat a mad dog. This site is up to get like minded people to join so if they do go ahead and nominate Obama, we will be ready to make sure that he never goes to the White House. If Hillary get the nomination, then I will be leading the charge for her.
Check out his ‘plans’ page too.

Obama Strongarms Lieberman
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/06/obama-confronts.html
Is Lieberman the only reason the Democrats have the majority in the Senate? If he is, Obama really is a stupid fool.
I agree with Harriet.
And, that doesn’t make me a racist…
had she ran, I would have supported the late Barbara Jorden in a heartbeat. Now, ~that~ was an American to be proud of.
I would like to make a humble request: Clinton supporters, if you voted for Hillary Clinton because of her political positions, please vote for Obama. She and Obama hardly differ at all on most issues. McCain is and has been against everything Hillary Clinton has fought for all her political life.
Correction: they differ in two very important ways:
character
experience
But… but… but…
I thought Barack, in the spirit of National unity, was going to reach across the aisle and ask McCain to join his ticket! You know… a new beginning…
it was great to see and hear Harriet Christian bin both full outrage fire breathing mode at the rules debacle and to also see her talk straightly and calmly with neil cavuto. my identification with both those modes ,and with Harriet, is spot on.
there was a time that obama himself said that were he a white male he would not be in the position of running for president, for all the obvious reasons mentioned over and over and over….. indeed if he were a woman of any color, s/he would have been laughed right out of existence.
Harriet is no more a racist than obama’s grandmother. she is a truthteller and i love her for it. she is a patriot and clear seer in her denigration of the democratic elite.
i too will support a ticket with Hillary at the TOP. no other way will i give my vote to obama.
Sen McCain will win in November against barack.
that is a given folks.
there are millions of us with Harriet Christian all the way.
Harriet…You said exactly what I think! We need to make absolutely certain that by our votes that this man NEVER gets into the White House. He is a racist and his wife is too. His friends are all creeps as well. Funny how he surrounds himself with such low class people isn’t it?
The DNC has from the start been for Obama! Obama choosing Howard Dean to stay in charge proves where Howard Dean was coming from. This was a conspiracy by the DNC leaders. They have lost me too. My husband and I will vote for John McCain. I wish Hillary would run with John McCain. That would be a winning ticket!!! Hillary has been so trampled on by the DNC that she should leave them. Howard Dean will never allow her to win. He would pull the same thing again against her. She should walk away from it and either go Independent or Republican. I see that Party doesn’t matter. I know her issues and her priorities would stay with her regardless of Party. She would get my vote no matter what the Party is. The DNC is corrupt!

For God sake, why do we need him for when we can have all and more in Hillary!
Quote: “I wish Hillary would run with John McCain. That would be a winning ticket!!!”
hc carey smacks forehead in disbelief
Maybe we could consider the political issues at stake?
Do you want American soldiers to keep dying in Iraq for no purpose?
Do you want Roe v. Wade overturned?
Do you want the growing gap between the rich and the poor to keep growing?
Do you want affordable health care
Look at Clinton’s positions–she and Obama barely differ on the issues. She may indeed be the better candidate. But why would you vote for a man, McCain, who is opposed to everything she has always stood for?
Except Hillary will carry them and Obama can do them!
John McCain is too much of a centrist to mess with Roe v. Wade. Run to the right in the primaries, run to the center in the general.
That argument is getting lamer by the minute.
You keep forgeting that we are not without knowledge and access to those cirrus cloud of anvils waiting to drop on the Precious. Rezko verdict just thundered from the sky. And, no.. simply because the MSM propaganda didn’t air it for more than a second doesn’t mean that they can keep that approaching storm front from the people. Who incidently will be royally pissed.
That was beautiful Harriette.
I am still waiting for someone to give us the real reason the Democrats are not only promoting a nobody in the person of Barack Obama, but obviously also burning at the stake a supremely qualified candidate in the person of Hillary Clinton.
So far we have:
1-John Kerry’s little hint about what a revolutionary force Obama’s skin color will be on the international scene;
2-Suggestions from various commenters that the Chicago crowd pushed Obama on the Democrats to address their social grievances;
3-Webster Tarpley’s book on George Soros, Zbigniew Brzezinski and their grandiose plans for world domination;
4-Lyndon LaRouche, with his Dutch-Anglo oligarchists and their plans for world domination;
5-Suggestions from various commenters about the irrational jealousy the loser Democrats have for the competent Clintons.
It’s probably a combination of all these tidbits and more. But it seems fairly clear to me that somebody really, really, really doesn’t like Hillary and that they are really, really, really afraid of her.
And I really, really, really would like to know why.
This is how we Clinton Democrats rescue the day:
1) Ignore the media and/or use critical thinking skills if you do watch. For instance, MSNBC are saying pushing that Hillary will endorse Obama, and then says she will drop out of…then the newscaster softly whispers suspend her campaign.
Folks, dropping out and suspending are two totally different concepts. Its as if the MSM thinks that Hillary herself listens only to them and she will somehow hypnotize her to believe them.
2) Understand that the MSM: MSNBC, NBC, CNN are just as complicit as the DNC in stealing this nomination. They even have the audacity to question whether Hillary has been vetted enough for the VP position. Honestly, Orwellian newspeak couldn’t write this shit.
Where is the vetting of the Chicago pol/influence peddler/graft/BLT/weatherground/Odinga Barack Hussein Obama. Who was probably born Barry Soreto and changed his name, but no one knows because he hasn’t released his birth certificate. He hasn’t released his medical records either.
3) The RNC has started their 527 campaign. It is not inconceivable for Clinton Democrats to forge an alliance with Republicans to defeat the Manchurian candidate.
4) The rift between Obama supporters and Hillary supporters will never be rectified. There is not enough room on the planet for both to exist. Whereas Obama is a manufactured candidate and so is his support, Hillary is a known quality and her supporters are real, know what the fight is all about, and are with Her because she is the leader and symbolic of what they are fighting for.
5) Hillary and the DNC already know by now that 18 million supporters are no joke, and won’t go quietyly into that tragic night. Obama is reacting to Hillary and her supporters. Hillary is weighing the best move for the party, but she will soon understand her advantage in her 18 million passionate supporters.
6) Hillary will have ticked off women, both dem and repubs, and ‘just saw the light’ republican patriots.
She holds the high ground. Two quotes for inspiration for Hillary and her troops:
The Essence of Achievement
“The credit belongs to those people who are actually in the arena…who know the great enthusiasms, the great devotions to a worthy cause, who at best, know the triumph of high achievement, and who at worst, fail while daring greatly…so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls
who know neither victory nor defeat.” - Theodore Roosevelt
The Art of Strategy
“Those who are victorious plan effectively and change
decisively. They are like a great river that maintains its course but adjusts its flow…they have form but are formless. They are skilled in both planning and adapting and need not fear the
result of a thousand battles, for they win in advance, defeating those that have already lost.”
- Sun Tzu, Chinese warrior, Philosopher 100 B.C.
Harriett did a good job standing up for herself and her beliefs. In no way should she labeled as a racist for stating the facts about the way this election has unfolded. The Obamas on the other hand can be considered racists given their belief and support for a church based in black liberation theology. It doesn’t matter that Obama just recently left the church. The damage has already been done. If Obama were a white male candidate who attended a church which espoused the same hate towards others based on the color of their skin and religious affiliation he would never have made it this far. This double standard has been very damaging and divisive for our country. We need fair and open dialogue in order to make progress. We’re not going to be able to make progress if one group is constantly playing the race card when a dialogue is attempted or someone is expressing their opinion.
Thank you for posting this video. This helps put in context her rage. I totally agree. You rock!
Does Hillary have something up her sleeve?
http://patriotroom.com/?p=407
This is what I’m talking about. You can’t push a woman around and tell her to “fall in line” when she is no pushover–and neither are the 20 women I met at our convention who say they won’t vote for that inadequate black male. Go ahead and call me racist for using the word black ’cause that must be the new definition in the 57 states.
I watched Harriet in both manisfestations: the red hot outrage shortly after the Rules Committee decision, and then the next day, the cold fury.
But her reaction was the same as mine. You will never get my vote. You can call us rascists, you can call us over-the-hill, irrelevant feminists, you can call us anything you like.
The Dems have sealed their fate on this one. Their most ardent, faithful supporters are putting on their cowboy boots and walking away.
No money, no support, no way.
Outstanding!!
She is not racist, but you are ageist. These days a differing opinion qualifies as “crazy”? Listen to yourself.
She was a Democrat likely before you were born. Scurry along back to your orange hate site. You’ll get lots of amens there for your hateful vitriol.
Fantastic Harriet! You said it like it is! Equality for all.
You’re a brave woman. Stand tall, you’re no racist.
Oh, and by the way…Harriet, I’m very proud of you. I agree with you that the fiasco at the DNC was a direct result of the party trying to appease the black community, and to possibly avoid a race riot. See, when Hillary loses they expect us to say tut-tut, o’well…maybe next time. But if a black candidate loses we are supposed to anticipate a riot like in Chicago where fires are set to cars and businesses and people are being beat in the streets. I think we should try and envision a better America where the citizens of the United States, be they black, white or brown - act in a civilized manner and where they are held accountable for actions that do not belong in a civilized world.
Go Harriet, I’m proud of you - btw…did you send in your Registration to the Republican Party…that’s the only clear sign the DNC will have to tell them how much support they’ve lost due to their actions.!!
All HILLARY’S SUPPORTERS…PLEASE GET YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION CARD FILLED OUT AND SENT IN! YOUR VOTES WILL COUNT IN NOVEMBER! I’M SURE OF IT…
GOD BLESS YOU, ALL OF US, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Thank you Harriet: intelligent, strong and dignify. Speak truth to power!!
BTW: something is wrong with the ratings at YouTube (go there directly)
I log in and rate it and before and after it said “60 ratings” no matter what. It isn’t counting my rating.
“Voters don’t decide much–it’s the people who count the votes”. (Joseph Stalin)
Well, well, well. Where did the Democratic Party learn about Democracy?
The Democratic Party is now the Autocratic Party. Just earlier today I received a message from Howard Dean about the lobbyist.
They must have forgotten that we women have very long memories. We remember what our mother-in-law said as far back as the first day we met her. Don’t be fools. We won’t forget by November.
I am with you Harriet. It’s Hillary or nothing.
I have written a DIARY OF A CAMPAIGN VOLUNTEER I would like to share with everyone who wants it. You can contact me: schirete@adelphia.net
Exactly what was being pointed out by Ferraro–being enamoured with the concept of a black president, not the man himself. If he were a white guy he would not be still standing.
that said, the obamaphiles think racism is deeper than sexism. Sorry, but sexism has been around way longer that racism. women are expected to step aside.
by and large they are too young and privileged to get this. That is why they can’t do anything but play their impotent games on sites like this, just trying to distract and saying the typical vile things.
she took the words right out of my mouth!
http://www.momsword.org
I see my comment was deleted. That is a shame. I actually am a Hillary supporter but I guess if I dont agree with evetything said here I will be deleted.
Sorry, but what the woman said was over the top.
That Harriet woman is a shrill hateful hag. Figures she’s a Hillary supporter.
All the people applauding her are absolutely disgusting.
If you don’t like it, you are more than welcome to leave.
Your Whiteness is Showing:
An Open Letter to Certain White Women
Who are Threatening to Withhold Support From Barack Obama in November
By Tim Wise
June 5, 2008
This is an open letter to those white women who, despite their proclamations of progressivism, and supposedly because of their commitment to feminism, are threatening to withhold support from Barack Obama in November. You know who you are.
I know that it’s probably a bad time for this. Your disappointment at the electoral defeat of Senator Hillary Clinton is fresh, the sting is new, and the anger that animates many of you–who rightly point out that the media was often sexist in its treatment of the Senator–is raw, pure and justified.
That said, and despite the awkward timing, I need to ask you a few questions, and I hope you will take them in the spirit of solidarity with which they are genuinely intended. But before the questions, a statement if you don’t mind, or indeed, even if (as I suspect), you will mind it quite a bit.
First, for those of you threatening to actually vote for John McCain and to oppose Senator Obama, or to stay home in November and thereby increase the likelihood of McCain winning and Obama losing (despite the fact that the latter’s policy platform is virtually identical to Clinton’s while the former’s clearly is not), all the while claiming to be standing up for women…
For those threatening to vote for John McCain or to stay home and increase the odds of his winning (despite the fact that he once called his wife the c-word in public and is a staunch opponent of reproductive freedom and gender equity initiatives, such as comparable worth legislation), all the while claiming to be standing up for women…
For those threatening to vote for John McCain or to stay home and help ensure Barack Obama’s defeat, as a way to protest what you call Obama’s sexism (examples of which you seem to have difficulty coming up with), all the while claiming to be standing up for women…
Your whiteness is showing.
When I say your whiteness is showing this is what I mean: You claim that your opposition to Obama is an act of gender solidarity, in that women (and their male allies) need to stand up for women in the face of the sexist mistreatment of Clinton by the press. On this latter point–the one about the importance of standing up to the media for its often venal misogyny–you couldn’t be more correct. As the father of two young girls who will have to contend with the poison of patriarchy all their lives, or at least until such time as that system of oppression is eradicated, I will be the first to join the boycott of, or demonstration on, whatever media outlet you choose to make that point. But on the first part of the above equation–the part where you insist voting against Obama is about gender solidarity–you are, for lack of a better way to put it, completely full of crap. And what’s worse is that at some level I suspect you know it. Voting against Senator Obama is not about gender solidarity. It is an act of white racial bonding, and it is grotesque.
If it were gender solidarity you sought, you would by definition join with your black and brown sisters come November, and do what you know good and well they are going to do, in overwhelming numbers, which is vote for Barack Obama. But no. You are threatening to vote not like other women–you know, the ones who aren’t white like you and most of your friends–but rather, like white men! Needless to say it is high irony, bordering on the outright farcical, to believe that electorally bonding with white men, so as to elect McCain, is a rational strategy for promoting feminism and challenging patriarchy. You are not thinking and acting as women, but as white people. So here’s the first question: What the hell is that about?
And you wonder why women of color have, for so long, thought (by and large) that white so-called feminists were phony as hell? Sister please…
Your threats are not about standing up for women. They are only about standing up for the feelings of white women, and more to the point, the aspirations of one white woman. So don’t kid yourself. If you wanted to make a statement about the importance of supporting a woman, you wouldn’t need to vote for John McCain, or stay home, thereby producing the same likely result–a defeat for Obama. You could always have said you were going to go out and vote for Cynthia McKinney. After all, she is a woman, running with the Green Party, and she’s progressive, and she’s a feminist. But that isn’t your threat is it? No. You’re not threatening to vote for the woman, or even the feminist woman. Rather, you are threatening to vote for the white man, and to reject not only the black man who you feel stole Clinton’s birthright, but even the black woman in the race. And I wonder why? Could it be…?
See, I told you your whiteness was showing.
And now for a third question, and this is the biggie, so please take your time with it: How is it that you have managed to hold your nose all these years, just like a lot of us on the left, and vote for Democrats who we knew were horribly inadequate–Kerry, Gore, Clinton, Dukakis, right on down the uninspiring line–and yet, apparently can’t bring yourself to vote for Barack Obama? A man who, for all of his shortcomings (and there are several, as with all candidates put up by either of the two major corporate parties) is surely more progressive than any of those just mentioned. And how are we to understand that refusal–this sudden line in the proverbial sand–other than as a racist slap at a black man? You will vote for white men year after year after year–and are threatening to vote for another one just to make a point–but can’t bring yourself to vote for a black man, whose political views come much closer to your own, in all likelihood, than do the views of any of the white men you’ve supported before. How, other than as an act of racism, or perhaps as evidence of political insanity, is one to interpret such a thing?
See, black folks would have sucked it up, like they’ve had to do forever, and voted for Clinton had it come down to that. Indeed, they were on board the Hillary train early on, convinced that Obama had no chance to win and hoping for change, any change, from the reactionary agenda that has been so prevalent for so long in this culture. They would have supported the white woman–hell, for many black folks, before Obama showed his mettle they were downright excited to do so–but you won’t support the black man. And yet you have the audacity to insist that it is you who are the most loyal constituency of the Democratic Party, and the one before whom Party leaders should bow down, and whose feet must be kissed?
Your whiteness is showing.
Look, I couldn’t care less about the Party personally. I left the Democrats twenty years ago when they told me that my activism in the Central America solidarity and South African anti-apartheid movements made me a security risk, and that I wouldn’t be able to get clearance to be in some parade with Governor Dukakis. Yeah, seriously. But for you to act as though you are the indispensible voters, the most important, the ones whose views should be pandered to, whose every whim should be the basis for Party policy, is not only absurd, it is also racist in that it, a) ignores and treats as irrelevant the much more loyal constituency of black folks, without whom no Democrat would have won anything in the past twenty years (and indeed the racial gap favoring the Democrats among blacks is about six times larger than the gender gap favoring them among white women, relative to white men); and b) demonstrates the mentality of entitlement and superiority that has been long ingrained in us as white folks–so that we believe we have the right to dictate the terms of political engagement, and to determine the outcome, and to get our way, simply because for so long we have done just that.
But that day is done, whether you like it or not, and you are now left with two, and only two choices, so consider them carefully: the first is to stand now in solidarity with your black brothers and sisters and welcome the new day, and help to push it in a truly progressive and feminist and antiracist direction, while the second is to team up with white men to try and block the new day from dawning. Feel free to choose the latter. But if you do, please don’t insult your own intelligence, or ours, by insisting that you’ve done so as a radical political act.

We are tired of the campaign “rhetoric” and lies of which this post is composed. I could break it down paragraph by paragraph and tell you the truth, but you don’t care. Do you care about Obama’s voting record? No, you probably don’t. But I do.
How could any responsible politician vote for the 2005 Bush/Cheney Energy Bill–a bill that throws billions at big oil and is bad for global warming and the environment? How could any responsible politician vote for legislation that makes it difficult for the average joe who is injured by a defective product to sue the company that produced the defective product? How could any responsible politician vote ‘present’ on bills to protect school children from guns and pornography? How could any responsible politician vote ‘present’ on a bill that gives rape vicitims the right to petition the court to have the records sealed? How could any responsible politician take credit for legislation they had nothing to do with? How could any responsible politician support unConstitutional disenfranchisement of voters in the primary and warrantless spying on the American people in FISA?
This isn’t about black or white… its about our rights… all of us.
To the Poster of “Your Whiteness is Showing:An Open Letter to Certain White Women Who are Threatening to Withhold Support From Barack Obama in November By Tim Wise”
Your ignorance is showing. Instead of plagerizing someone else’s work spend a little bit of mental energy and try understanding why we don’t want a Chicago mobster taking the White House.
I wish somebody would print
Hillary

Harriet
My Heroes
T-shirts
Sounds like a good Idea ! Every woman in American would wear it with pride !!
There is no words to discribe how much I agree with you. Obama has had NO experience. He votes “present” instead of giving a reasonably “yes” or “no” on all votes. So, where does this guy actually stand on the important issues?? Roe v Wade is old old old news. Try dealing with the world and it’s problems instead !! That is where experience is needed…not a non-vote safe “present” !
Harriet Christian=Geraldine Ferraro=white inbreeds
So, when is the so called “whitey” tape coming out?
Crazay racist cat lady!
Harriet,
You made me proud to be a white femmale. What you said is the truth, and I am going to vote for John McCain for the very reasons you gave.
PUMA
McCain 08
Harriet is a gutsy lady. She speaks her mind,no matter if we agree with it or not. At least she has an opinion and voices it, and for that she is gutsy.
[...] remember, Harriet Christian is a disgruntled Hillary supporter, who made a name for herself by protesting loudly and publicly on TV for her disdain of Obama and the DNC’s rejection of Hillary. She appeared on Neil Cavuto’s show today to talk [...]
Thank God for women who speak out inspite of certain reprisal. She is a gutsy woman and I respect that. There are not enough of them out there. No matter what your stance is, stand up for what you believe and do not be swayed by the giants who follow like sheep.
