After Tavis Smiley talked openly about the death threats he and his family rec’d (after Tavis publicly dared to act unhappy that Obama had snubbed his State of the Black Union Convention in N’Orleans), my husband wrote to Tavis. He applauded his courage and told him how much people like him (Tavis) mean to our society.

I’m a lawyer and I’ve read the lawsuit against the DNC and I think it’s a strong case. The case argues Florida Democrats made efforts to have the primary within required time period, but as minorities in a Repub legislature w/ Repub governor were unable to do so. DNC, by stripping the whole Florida delegation, violates it’s own rules that say it won’t punish states to made good faith efforts to comply.
The case also makes a strong argument that DNC has violated the equal protection clause in the Constitution, because three other states also violated the “timing rule” but were not punished.
We’ll see what happens. The Supreme Court “selection” of George Bush in 2000 was a pitifully weak case without a legal leg to stand on. Sometimes politics trumps compliance with the law. Hope that won’t happen this time.

We’ve decided that the Obamabots are indeed, subpar mentally, perhaps as a result of poor diet and too many drugs with many of them, and they aren’t worth dealing with, because they can’t even recite a single thing their candidate is actually FOR.
Hope/Change/Believe is NOT a foreign policy, any more than YEEHAW was.
What’s to celebrate? He’s not really won. He even was so crass as to announce his “win” 2 days after he stole 4 of her delegates and timed it so that she’d not be able to enjoy her last win.
He confirmed every mean thought we’ve had that he’s a jerk.
So why would they get to celebrate?
The reaction is the consequence of a dirty and nasty campaign by Obama. In Chicago, they expect this and expect people to go with the flow.
