A Soldier For Hillary Writes a Rant [Updated]

A 527 and a Blog: Hillary United. UPDATE: Sgt. Patsy is stationed at Ft. Bragg. Her WordPress blog is ANVP.

We had the opportunity to have the candidate who had Solutions for America. Not just one race, not just one demographic, but for “America”, you gave us the chatelaine of fake hopes & dreams.

We had the opportunity to have the teacher, you gave us the remedial student . I have been harassed and threatened, told the job I do is worthless, and if I am a representation of the type of judgment military personnel have, no wonder we are losing the war. I have had my accounts hacked, told when I deploy, they hope I never come back. All from the supporters who candidate based there initial platform on unity and a new form of politics.

This is not about Senator Clinton. This has become so much more than that, it is more than that. It’s about not falling in and bending to the will of the majority. It’s about fighting for what is right, when everyone seems to be doing something wrong. So I wiped away the tears, sat aside the heart ache. And asked myself what can I do to become part of the solution? And the answer came. Get rid of the problem.

So I lurked, and listened, plotted and planned. And on the 5th of June 2008, as I opened up the last message telling me I was a disgrace, and to stop publicly voicing my support, and to stop making utube videos acknowledging it. I knew what I had to do. Money may buy you a primary, but the people are the ones who win elections.

I created “Hillary United” a 527 that will support campaigns and organizations that remember the one true aspect of our government, “For the People” and “By the People”. That understand what makes our country, our great nation, what it is today. You cant blame the problems on our government. Our government is the foundation of this country. It’s the people who cause the problems.

If we want change, we have to change how we do business. To stop electing officials that follow the money, instead of following the voice and the will of the people. And the first order of business, is to remove the ones who have forgotten how to represent the constituents who have elected them to these positions.

We don’t have to “fall in”. We have another option. One that was lost and forgotten, but what civil rights leaders and activists that poured there blood, sweat and tears to achieve. We fight. I am not an expert when it comes to politics, but I do understand reality. We are witnessing up close and personal what happens when elections and primaries are determined in the court of public opinion.

When votes cast in good faith can be overturned and decided by a group of thirty instead of thousands. When the media can become more important that the voice of the people. We have a problem. This is a historical election. But not because of what many may think. It’s historical because we have witnessed the fall of the Democratic Party as we used to know it. We don’t need a third party because its time to take our party back. And for that to happen the Democratic Party will have to be reborn. Not on how the Donna Braziles have foretold as a party led by the youth. It will be reborn in the way in which it was originally founded. Led by not just the youth, but by all of us, despite race, demographics, or affiliations. From the blue collar workers to the private in Iraq sitting on gate guard wondering when they will be coming home.

Senator Clinton opened the door. Despite what personal beliefs many have of this former First Lady, presidential candidate and acting Senator, she changed the course of this election. By getting up and out there to speak to the people, using personal funds to finance getting her message out there. While knowing the entire time they had no intentions of allowing another Clinton in the White House, is astounding. She held her ground to the end while the Democratic Party publicly campaigned against her.

The message that they sent could not of been any louder as we watched them turn there back on one of there own by using every source available. As we watched Senator Obama make blunder after blunder, lie after lie, the picture became clearer each day. And as there actions became more pronounced, the disdain more obvious, it hardened my will to stand behind her.

We don’t need a tape of Michelle Obama proving what we all know in our hearts that she is racist. Or proof that Senator Obama is unprepared to be the 44th president. We don’t need to donate to Senator Mccain’s campaign. Or get into arguments with paid bloggers. They have already shown there hand. It’s ours that they are now worried about. There is a better option than voting for Senator Obama. The option is, for him to step down and move aside.

Its our right, no, its our duty to not think about what it is we personally want, and start thinking about what this country needs. Yes, this will be historical. 2008 will go down in history as being the year that the people stood up and fought for what they believe in, despite what the Democratic Party thought we should have. The battle may be over, but the war, the war has just begun.
