Welcome to viewers of CNN’s Larry King show who heard misstatements regarding Larry Johnson and the “whitey tape.” Read the following for the accurate, complete story. I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about “whitey” describe it as “STUNNING.” I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks. Whoops!! When that image comes out it will enter the politcal ads hall of fame. It will be right up there with the little girl plucking daisy petals in the famous 1964 ad LBJ used against Barry Goldwater.
That ain’t a “lie” Barky. It is a fact. Of course, most Barack supporters have trouble grasping this concept. Maybe that’s why they support Barack–does not require much intellectual effort. Simply close eyes and hold your nose.

This is precious. Barack is in a snit over so-called smears. (Deb, thanks for the tip.) Karen Tumulty writes in Time Magazine:
According to campaign officials, what finally launched Obama into a full rumor counteroffensive was a story that apparently first made a big splash on the Internet in late May in a post by pro-Hillary Clinton blogger Larry Johnson. Quoting “someone in touch with a senior Republican,” Johnson claimed that there was a video of Michelle Obama “blasting ‘whitey’ during a rant at Jeremiah Wright’s church.” (Later versions of the rumor had Michelle’s “rant” happening at a Rainbow/push Coalition conference.) No such videotape has surfaced.
Now, are you ready for the shocker? Look at the next paragraph of Karen’s piece:
When the Obama campaign got wind of the rumor in April, Michelle’s close friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett asked Michelle if there could be anything to it; the candidate’s wife dismissed it out of hand.
I did not hear about the tape until MAY. REPEAT. I DID NOT HEAR ABOUT THE TAPE UNTIL MAY. Yet, the Obama campaign knew about the tape in April. Got it? And I am the one responsible for the so called rumor?
Au contraire. What is really fascinating is that the Obama campaign continues to issue a non-denial denial. They are fighting so-called smears, but not challenging the very facts that underlie the charges.
There is a recording of Michelle Obama using a racial slur about white people. I have not seen the tape but I am certain that the people who have told my sources they have seen such a tape are telling the truth. What is really interesting is that the Obama folks knew about this long before I did.
And you know what else? One of my sources told me last week that the Obama camp knew about the tape. So the Obamas have confirmed what one of my sources about the existence of the tape has told me.
I am happy to take credit for being the one who has put the Obama campaign on edge. But it looks like they themselves knew there was a problem.

MSNBC has been criticized as being in the tank for Barack Obama. And so today, when the Obama campaign launched its own rumor-squelching website, MSNBC was all-too-eager to promote the site through several news bits.
But there was just one problem. For a time this afternoon, MSNBC mistakenly promoted a prank site (UPDATE: site has since been pulled and url removed from this post), as opposed to the actual Obama site http://fightthesmears.com.
While the Obama site denies and denounces the viral internet rumors, the gag site satirically perpetuates and builds upon them! Fair warning: the gag site deserves a bad taste alert.
Upon discovering the mistake, an on-air MSNBC correspondent issued a correction mid-afternoon. Chris Matthews is going to have a different kind of tingle over this one.

The Rasmussen Reports national survey, released Tuesday, found that 61 percent of voters said their perception of a presidential candidate’s wife is at least somewhat important. And when sized up, the would-be Democratic first lady was viewed unfavorably by more respondents than the would-be Republican first lady.
Forty-two percent of voters viewed Barack Obama’s wife unfavorably, compared with the 29 percent who viewed John McCain’s wife unfavorably. Twenty-five percent viewed Michelle Obama very unfavorably, while just 10 percent viewed Cindy McCain very unfavorably.

I checked out Obama’s “Fight the Smears” site and it reminds me of a phrase from Chinese “A guilty person needs no accusor”.
O’Boy is sure acting guilty and not exactly offering hard evidence to refute the charges against him.
The “Certification of Birth” raises more questions than it answers. It is not an original, and bears no seal and signature of certification. This type of certificate is issued when a person claims to have been born in Hawaii, long after the actual birth. Where is the birth evidence Obama used to obtain this “Late” certification?
The site does not deny that Michelle said whitey in a fit of anger, it merely attempts to refute the existance of a tape.
The site claims Larry Johnson did not offer a 9:00 am update about the tape, but Larry did offer an update, and has had continuing updates as he receives information.
Other posters have pointed out that Obama himself in his book said he was registered as a Muslim and studied the Koran while attending school in Indonesia.
Obama wants to refute what he claims are unfounded rumors, but this “Smears” site is actually turning those rumors into facts.
Hillary had a site that I used a lot that corrected the record. Obama constantly misstated things or made stuff up. That was where I went to get the facts.
She offered very clear explanations and proof.
Questions from Obamabots:
Do you really think if he came into office he’d try and implement marxist policies?
He already listed many of these policies at his site - including forms of redistribution of wealth, raising capital gains taxes very high, raising taxes on all Americans in the form of payroll Social Security taxes, etc
