The Bolshevikization of the Democratic Party

Bolsheviks (or “the Majority”) were an organization of professional revolutionaries under a strict internal hierarchy governed by the principle of democratic centralism and quasi-military discipline, who considered themselves as a vanguard of the revolutionary proletariat. Their beliefs and practices were often referred to as Bolshevism. We can safely say that Obamaism can be equated with Bolshevism, this is nothing less than a coup led by a new caudillo, Barack Obama. For someone who professes to want to run a campaign from the bottom-up, this is the inverse. It’s centralized control from the top down.

Via Ben Smith at Politico:

In a major shakeup at the Democratic National Committee — and a departure from tradition — large parts of the committee’s operations are relocating to Chicago to be fully integrated with the Obama campaign.

The DNC’s political department, housed in Washington, D.C., will be dramatically rebuilt, with staffers offered a choice of moving to Chicago, joining state operations, or staying in Washington, DNC spokeswoman Karen Finney said.

But the power will clearly be shifting to a centralized Chicago hub.

The DNC’s key role in coordinating political operations with state parties is expected to largely be taken over and overseen by Obama’s senior staff in Chicago, state party officials said.

“This is part of the implementation of the plans Paul [Tewes] discussed last week with the state party chairs,” Finney said. “As part of the efforts to fully integrate DNC operations with the Obama campaign here in Washington, in Chicago and in the states, political, field and constituency operations are moving to Chicago to work in the Obama headquarters. The goal is to consolidate these efforts into one operation and effectively drive one national strategy.”

People familiar with the plan said that state party staffers paid for under Howard Dean’s 50 State Program would be shifted to working for the presidential campaign, at least in targeted battleground states.

The move reflects Obama’s desire to maintain an unusually streamlined campaign, as well as his swift and complete takeover of a Democratic Party that isn’t always known for its unity. The move may also save the campaign money, as the Obama campaign can use DNC salaries and staff to pay for elements of its organizing campaign and avoid some of the duplication that has often dogged presidential efforts.

Such a centralization of the Party’s apparatus is an inherent danger to the big tent character of the Democratic Party. Obama is seeking to personify the Democratic Party. No one person personifies the Democratic Party. This is an internal coup following on the heels of the May 31st Rules and By-Laws Committee that was anything but democratic, the Democratic Party is now a Bolshevik party. Political parties in Western democracies are governed by consensus, not by fiat. There is no place for a Politburo or a Central Committee that dictates commands. Such an apparatus is inherently anti-democratic and against the long-standing principles of the US Democratic Party, we were a party of inclusion, not exclusion. The more you tighten the screws, the more we shall resist you.

Obama and his cohorts need to be reminded of Barbara Jordan’s Keynote Address at the Democratic Convention in 1976:

We are a party — We are a party of innovation. We do not reject our traditions, but we are willing to adapt to changing circumstances, when change we must. We are willing to suffer the discomfort of change in order to achieve a better future. We have a positive vision of the future founded on the belief that the gap between the promise and reality of America can one day be finally closed. We believe that.

This, my friends is the bedrock of our concept of governing. This is a part of the reason why Americans have turned to the Democratic Party. These are the foundations upon which a national community can be built. Let all understand that these guiding principles cannot be discarded for short-term political gains. They represent what this country is all about. They are indigenous to the American idea. And these are principles which are not negotiable.

There is no executive order; there is no law that can require the American people to form a national community. This we must do as individuals, and if we do it as individuals, there is no President of the United States who can veto that decision.

As a first step — As a first step, we must restore our belief in ourselves. We are a generous people, so why can’t we be generous with each other? We need to take to heart the words spoken by Thomas Jefferson:

Let us restore the social intercourse — “Let us restore to social intercourse that harmony and that affection without which liberty and even life are but dreary things.”

A nation is formed by the willingness of each of us to share in the responsibility for upholding the common good. A government is invigorated when each one of us is willing to participate in shaping the future of this nation. In this election year, we must define the “common good” and begin again to shape a common future. Let each person do his or her part. If one citizen is unwilling to participate, all of us are going to suffer. For the American idea, though it is shared by all of us, is realized in each one of us.

To listen to her full speech, please visit American Rhetoric.

The essence of a party is a diversity of opinion, a plurality of views. One person does not personify a party for the concept of party is, ipso facto, more than one. And I must ask this question, if this had been Senator Clinton moving the DNC to New York, can you imagine the outrage and indignation that would have resulted?

As Barbara Jordan put it, there is no executive order.

I hate Obama and his supporters. There is no way I will ever vote for this fraud or any democrat who supported him. The democratic party is dead. We have to look at it like that and vote republican straight ticket with the exception of those democrats who stuck with Hillary. I would love to know what she thinks about all this.

Comment by Factcheck2 | 2008-06-13 16:01:29

The party is not dead. We are just not fighting back.

This is so easy to fix, folks. The DNC handed over the Dem Party apparatus on the bogus claim that Obama’s the nominee when he’s not. (Go ahead, check their website http://www.democrats.org.) He didn’t get enough pledged delegates. The Supers can’t vote till August. It’s June. He’s not the nominee, so the transfer of the hedquarters and control can be challenged.

Let’s start using our muscle. Raise money with our PACS. Buy ads in the Wash Post and NY Times. Get our people in D.C. to hold a press conference. Get small newspapers to write editorials. Use all our blogs to broadcast this campaign.

Here’s the second part of the strategy. What makes this whole Barack is the Nominee deception work publicly is Sen. Clinton’s endorsement. She was wrong to give it, and part of our job here is to force her to own up to her mistake. We shouldn’t treat her as a victim, because she promised she’d stay in it until the end. What she said on June 4th and in her speech later is simply not credible. She knows Obama is a crook who ripped off the African American community in Chicago and will continue to do the same if not stopped. She knows about his connections to Iraqi foreign agents. And of course, she knows what the DNC did disenfranchised 18 million voters.

Therefore we must demand that she reverse her endorsement and restart her campaign at the same time we’re demanding that the DNC reverse its decision to illegally declare Obama the nominee (and hand him the keys to the store). Silence will allow this coup to be completed. A loud, coordinated media protest can stop it.

Please contact all the advocacy groups you know and suggest they work together on an action along these line, like IMMEDIATELY. Here are some contacts. Please ask them to do a media campaign and use the info I just mentioned, in addition to your own suggestions.

SHE SAID SHE WOULD.
I JUST DON’T THINK SOMETHING IS RIGHT…
DO YOU THINK OBAMA HAS PROMISED HER SOMETHING AND SHE AGREED TO IT????
HER WEB SITE ISN’T TAKING POSTS RIGHT NOW, SO EVERYONE SEEMS A BIT IN THE DARK ABOUT WHETHER TO FIGHT ON TO DENVER OR CAVE IN…
HE ISN’T THE NOMINEE YET, BUT SHE SURE MADE IT SOUND LIKE IT WAS OVER FOR HER…DO YOU THINK SHE WAS PUSHED INTO DOING THIS???
WISH I COULD CALL HER AND SEE WHAT SHE REALLY WANTS US TO DO……
WHO EVER HEARD OF THE DNC MOVING TO THE CANDIDATES CITY????
I DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN OR HIS STAFF……..HE IS SO FRIGGIN ARROGANT IT JUST MAKES ME SICK…….
FRUSTRATED IN CA…………..

Comment by karen for Clinton | 2008-06-13 17:10:06

First of all the convention isn’t till end of August and for all we know she will be fighting to be heard and for a rollcall, at least.

She gave Ickes permission to take it to the credentials committee, and they might have done that already or perhaps it is in the works.

I don’t think she cut a deal with ob or anyone else, but maybe she was forced to, who knows.

Hillary fought for us. It is now the time for us to fight for her.

We don’t know how DNC is trying to force her to do their bid. In my opinion her silence is shouting resistance.

We have to be able to think for ourselves. She gave her speach on “what does Hillary want?”. That is exactly what she wants.

And one day we will brake the last glass ceiling and launch a woman in the White House. It can be this November if she is becomes the nominee. It will be in 2012 if she is not the nominee. Obama will NEVER see the White House from inside without paying a tour guide.

Beyond what Hillary wants – we want to save our country from an other GW Bush who wants to learn on the job, but has good political instincts.

Pay attention African Americans:
I have a co-worker who has an account at Black Planet. I am going to save links to these pages, so African Americans can see the true DEMONaRAT party. John McCain has 24% of the black vote in Michigan…this campaign of education is spreading. You evil, corrupt dems are done. You can take your abortions, AIDS, welfare and lack of education and keep it down south where it belongs. You dems are not fit to run anything–nothing. The real democratic or should I say DEMONcRAT party. Full of baby killers, sodomites, welfare leeches, racists and general dummies.

All African Americans with jobs and pride, please hear me. When Obama loses, come home to the republican party. This is the real democratic party. We republicans depise them. Evidence is here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1992769/posts

Blacks, this is the real democratic party. The party of “black codes” Johnson, George Wallace and the Southern manifesto.

Republicans freed the slaves and gave you your rights. The first black senators were republican. Most of the signers of the civil rights bill were republicans. Ronald Reagan appointed Colin Powell to be National security advisor. George Bush appointed a black and a black woman to be secretary of state. Dems have been killing your babies, ruining your families and putting you on the back of the bus for advancement for hundreds of years. Educate yourselves…because what you see here is the real democratic party. Never ever vote democrat again.
You can see with your own eyes they hate you.

Oh, it was down temporarily while they “fixed” it. Better now:

In a coup destroying democratic principles, the DNC is being moved to Chicago where it will be run by Obama.

The DNC’s political department, housed in Washington, D.C., will be dramatically rebuilt, with staffers told to either move to Chicago, joining Obama’s operations, or stay in Washington, clinging to old fashioned ideas that the party belongs to all of us.

Only a fool would think they can continue in the DNC without pledging loyalty to the new power broker.

“This is part of the plan to fully integrate DNC operations with the Obama campaign here in Washington, in Chicago and in the states. The goal is to consolidate these efforts into one operation and effectively drive one national strategy with power being irretrievably given to Obama and the Daley machine.

The move reflects Obama’s desire to maintain an unusually repressive campaign, as well as his swift and complete takeover of the Democratic Party. The move may also save the campaign money, as the Obama campaign will have full control and will only fund the campaigns of loyalists. “Anyone who doesn’t like it can leave,” said Donna Brazile. “Okey dokey said millions of disenfranchised Democrats who thought it was their party, not Obama’s.

(This is a parody, folks. Don’t get em bunched.)

Comment by Charles Lemos | 2008-06-13 17:16:01

It is not about the physical location but about control. The Democratic Party has long been a BIG TENT party and now it’s clear that it is either Obama’s way or the highway. It’s about dissenting views not finding the air to circulate. This is not a positive development. It’s control from the top down, not from the bottom up. It is the exact opposite of you wrote. It’s not a party divorced from its roots.

Here’s an article on Germany’s SPD, another left of center party that has forgotten its working class roots is now in danger of becoming obsolete:

Whither Germany’s SPD? A Lesson for the US Democratic Party

Comment by elise | 2008-06-13 23:22:37

Do you really feel ok with this? Chicago isn’t transparency and moving the DNC just means changing the location. Will they move again if he is not elected or doesn’t receive the nomination? If he is elected and serves four years, will they move again? Or will they move it in eight years if he should serve eight years?

I have asked this question so often and I never get an answer. What change is he planning other than moving the headquarters of the DNC? There is a video on another thread with a statement from 2004 where he says he doesn’t plan to remove the troops from Iraq. John Kerry said universal health care is a “non-starter”.

His economic advisor, Austan Goolsbey, favors free trade and has told the Canadian government as much. His campaign manager, Axelrod, is a former lobbyist and one of the people he chose to vet vice presidential candidates has financial connections to Countrywide Mortgage, a sub prime lender.

It will come as a big surprise to many Democrats the Party belongs to him, Brazil, Pelosi, Dean, Reid and other members of the elite group comprising the DNC. We, mistakenly, believed the Party was ours, the goals were ours and the ideals were ours.

One thing for sure, the votes are ours and the Republicans will be watching for dead people voting and disenfranchised Democrats will be watching while their former Party goes up in flames.

The Denver Police Dept. is worried they won’t have enough cops to watch the Black Panthers, Code Pink and others trying to rehash the 1968 Democratic convention and threatening to riot if Obama doesn’t win the nomination. It wouldn’t surprise me to see armed men outside polling stations in Nov.

You may call it unity to move the Party to a candidate’s state, but I call it sinister.

Comment by AF catfish | 2008-06-13 15:37:11

I don’t know that I have ever seen a Democratic candidate I regarded as scarier than the Republican. If Obama wins the nomination and the election, this nation will be left witout an instrument for progresive change. We will be post-Soviet Russia with two thoroughly corrupted parties as the only offering.

The people arguing that we should vote for Obama because he is better than McCain sound a lot like the poeple who were defending the ramp up to the Iraq war. In a lot of cases, including WKJM, they are the same persons.

There is no way I will vote for Obama. I’ve been planning on writing in Clinton’s name but we are fast approaching the point where I think mcCain winning is essential to the health of the nation and the Democratic party and the future well-being of the world. Obama may be a better president in some sense, but the Democratic party as an organ of Obama’s will is far worse for the nation and the world than four years of McCain.

If the Democratic party of the United States, in its collective wisdom, nominates a yellow dog for the presidency of the United States, I’ll for the yellow dog but lower than that, ye shall not drag me.

We know who and what Obama is and who his backers are. There is NOTHING democratic about them!

If Obama really wanted all these things why didn’t he just endorse Hillary who had the experience to do what she said. The point is that Obama is a novice. He will not be elected. I am beginning to think Obama has been the republicans puppet all along. Who else would cheat and lie their way to the nomination while smearing a mainstay of the Party (Bill Clinton)? Obama is the Bush of the left. It is very sad. Obama is Dean’s wet dream of becoming president this time. McCain is his own man. Yes, the republicans will make him their champion but we all know John McCain is an Okay guy… he is our favorite republican. And Obama is a marxist, black power freak.

Comment by Freedom Fighter | 2008-06-13 16:15:12

Hillary’s negatives are too high, and her divisive nature makes her the weaker candidate in the general election. Obama has cross over appeal with Independent and even some Republicans.

I have never heard such irrational claptrap in my like.

You simply made a personal decision, then looked to justify it with any specious fact that would sound acceptable.

Nothing to do with truth, nothing to do with the reality you are facing.

No wonder you keep getting your asses kicked.

Comment by Freedom Fighter | 2008-06-13 16:19:40

It doesn’t really matter what your party affiliation is on paper. The fact is, your core beliefs probably overlap with Obama’s at about 90% of the time, and only 10% of the time with McCain. Does it make sense to vote for someone who agrees with you only 10% of the time over someone who agrees with you 90% of the time? Let’s be honest, could race play a role at all?

Comment by jcb | 2008-06-13 16:35:56

Not if the 10% (one person, one vote) underlies all else.

Race? Please.

Now, I know why I didn’t write it earlier. I need to see that speech. Obama is defrauding people into believing that he is the only one who can help them. I was JUST telling my best friend, an Obamazoid LAST NIGHT that we didn’t need him to get things done. We’ve had it in us all along! Oh gosh, I’m so fired up, I’m about to write the post right here! lol But, Obama is an enabler. A welfare program on legs! Still nearly writing the post. lol Let me leave it at that. Folks – congressional aides talk and socialize with each other. Call your Congressional reps and Senators and tell them the move from DC to Chicago has you worried.

Today I called Speier, Pelosi, Boxer and Feinstein. I also called the DNC who said the story wasn’t true, just a few people moving to Chicago. But the thing is – I donated $ to the DNC, not to Obama. He’s barely the presumptive nominee. This ain’t right.

Get the watercooler buzz going. Call.

Comment by uhh somehow this notion that I am qualified to be president is uhh uhh ridiculous | 2008-06-13 15:59:05

You donated money to the DNC, not Obama.
Unfortunately , Obama IS the DNC. Even Hillary’s site goes to Obama.
He is not a representative of the party,he controls it, and the media, and the thoughts of anyone unable to think independently.
Unless people vote directly AGAINST him by voting Republican, HE WILL WIN.

Comment by beebop | 2008-06-13 16:13:27

Comment by Susaninbosque | 2008-06-14 10:52:15

No the money is going directly to Hillary and it will do so until the debt is paid off and it even has to be that way legally. Please check:

http://heidilipotpourri.blogspot.com/

and note that Hillary I will never believe will contribute any money – none – to this idiot Obama.

THE CLINTONS ARE NOT ROLL-OVERS AND THEY ARE CERTAINLY NOT DONE. CONSIDER THAT THIS IS HILLARY AND BILL CLINTON.

Sorry I had to scream there but this has barely been two weeks and if we are in shock, consider where they are. But these are consummately brilliant people who will get it back together and they will make the decision as to when to spring that on the public. What it is that they have put back together that is. The Clintons have gone NOWHERE. They are now most likely working harder than during the primary season. What they are working on…. personally, I do not want to know because it needs to take place in private. Hillary and Bill are the consummate definition of a phoenix. (and for you Obama folks who are still working in their parent’s basement, I suspect they have no idea of what that means.)

Now, I personally feel that it is sad but that Tim Russert was the first causalty of the Obama attempted coup. Sometimes the conflict in your heart means it will attack itself and it must be painful for some of these guys to begin to realize what they have wrought.

Comment by NotProObama | 2008-06-13 16:44:53

First, I love your moniker! Second, are you certain that money donated to her site goes to the DNC? I thought it went to her campaign. If you are maxxed out on donations, you would receive an email asking for your permisssion to use the money for her 2012 Senate re-election campaign. The money must be going to her…otherwise , how would she pay off her campaign debt? She can only take donations until the convention.

The Obama takeover of the DNC is very disturbing. This is not the Democratic Party I have supported for most of my lifetime. When others said they found Obama frightening, I disagreed. Now I am finding this move really creepy.

And all this is happening under the radar for most people. I asked two neighbors who are Democrats what they think about Obama moving the DNC to Chicago. Their response was stunning. They asked me what is the DNC.

I picked up a voter registration form a few days ago to change my party affiliation to independent. Leaving the Democratic Party has proved to be more difficult emotionally than I had imagined it would be. One thing for certain, the Democratic Party as we have known it has ceased to exist.

However, I think the voters of Florida, Michigan and possibly some others will be angered by the way they were treated by the DNC and so vote for the GOP if HRC is not the Democratic candidate- *if* Senator McCain can persuade them that he can get a handle of the economy.

How very 3rd world and Marxist. Castro, Mugabe and Chavez would approve.

No wonder so many Democrats love Obama.

And you folks realize even if he is defeated he’ll have the entire party under his thumb to do his bidding. He’s going to remain *the* powerbroker in the Democratic party for decades or until he’s put in prison.

Forget about reform. Kill the party.

Comment by typical irishman | 2008-06-13 16:19:44

Obama makes Nixon look like the kindly grandfather that sometimes brings around bawdy friends and drinks too much. Obama is like the Al Capone, killing off the competition and consolidating control. The DNC has just fallen under the Obama umbrella upon which he has installed an interlocking directorship. The move to Chicago should be a wake up call. Much like the Chinese Communist Party, group think is now all the rage. You commonly hear Republicans blasting McCain for his positions while still remaining Republicans. In the Obama Holdings’s subsidiary the DNC, if you disagree with the boss, your fired. No pensions, no golden parachute, just a straight drop into the depths of the shrugged. Hillary fell into that hole as did Lieberman. Obama and his board composed of himself as well as his wife, Wright, Pfleger, Ayers, and various other members yet to be discovered rendered the ultimate decision to terminate their contracts. Some of the Obama Holdings subsidiaries are: NBC and affiliates, the New York Times, and Hollywood. We need a trustbusting Teddy Roosevelt to crush this trust. I only hope McCain is able to do it.

Democrats biggest nightmare would be a McCain presidency. First, if they can’t stand up to Bush and his 15% approval rating how will they stand up to President McCain. Secondly, by rallying around McCain it will expose the Dems as totally corrupt, yet again, by being GOP-lite.

On the bright side, Hillary will win the fist fight that will break out between her and Obama on the Senate floor after the Senate is reconviened in January 2009.

The arrests came before Mugabe and Tsvangirai square off in a runoff presidential election on June 27.”

“…Mugabe began the often-violent seizure of most of Zimbabwe’s mainly white-owned commercial farms.”

What you write is golden. Some freakos are going to be put off by your dropping ‘bolshevik’. But the signs are all there. Everything you write is true. I really wish it weren’t. We all do. Of course we do.

This isn’t words anymore. This is deadly serious. This is a shadow of a danger like Germany in the 1930s. A year ago there were people warning of the Bush administration’s attempts to subvert democracy – where are they now? People in the US with relatives who remembered the Nazi takeover, saying they recognised the same signs again. Where are they now?

This is deadly serious. If history teaches us anything it teaches us most people will not repeat NOT react. Those of us alert enough to see what’s happening would do best to stock up our bomb shelters ASAP.

PS. Really appreciate your etymological description of ‘bolshevik’ which of course is spot on. I never thought of that before! And I know some Russian. Duh! ;)

PPS. Again: the time for talking is over. We need action.

The comparison to the Bolsheviks is fair. I did not compare ideology. I did not say Obama was making the Democratic Party communist in its ideology but rather that the apparatus of control and the tactics and practices are similar. He wants top-down control as opposed to the traditional operation of the Democratic party which bottom up and a Big Tent party. Read the introduction and then the Politico story and you will see many of the same concepts and words repeated.

In a tract, The Practice and Theory of Bolshevism, he wrote “I believe that Communism is necessary to the world, and I believe … Bolshevism deserves the gratitude and admiration of all the progressive part of mankind. But the method by which Moscow aims at establishing Communism is a pioneer method, rough and dangerous, too heroic to count the cost of the opposition it arouses. I do not believe that by this method a stable or desirable form of Communism can be established. Three issues seem to me possible from the present situation:

* The ultimate defeat of Bolshevism by the forces of capitalism
* The victory of the Bolshevists accompanied by a complete loss of their ideals and a régime of Napoleonic imperialism
* A prolonged world-war, in which civilization will go under, and all its manifestations (including Communism) will be forgotten.”

Except when Larry Johnson wrote:

“Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism.

“None of these beliefs are based in fact.”

Why DNC move to Chicago…

…Some insight about Obama & the entities supporting him. He is the product of “Red” Chicago. Chicago, the Mid-West is one of bedrocks of the communist movement in the USA. Started in the 1920’s

Here is a book on the history of it:

Red Chicago : American communism at its grassroots, 1928-35

http://books.google.com/books?ie=UTF-8&sourceid=ca-print-uofillinois_press&vid=isbn0252032063

About the book from link:
Realities of the street-level American Communist experience during the worst years of the Depression Red Chicago is a social history of American Communism set within the context of Chicago’s neighborhoods, industries, and radical traditions. Using local party records, oral histories, union records, party newspapers, and government documents, Randi Storch fills the gap between Leninist principles and the day-to-day activities of Chicago’s rank-and-file Communists. Uncovering rich new evidence from Moscow’s former party archive, Storch argues that although the American Communist Party was an international organization strongly influenced by the Soviet Union, at the city level it was a more vibrant and flexible organization responsible to local needs and concerns. Thus, while working for a better welfare system, fairer unions, and racial equality, Chicago’s Communists created a movement that at times departed from international party leaders’ intentions. By focusing on the experience of Chicago’s Communists, who included a large working-class, African American, and ethnic population, this study reexamines party members’ actions as an integral part of the communities in which they lived and the industries where they worked. A volume in the series The Working Class in American History, edited by David Brody, Alice Kessler-Harris, David Montgomery, and Sean Wilentz

You can also preview sections of the book from the link.

Are we brain dead? Is this just a whining post. Would Bolsheviks suggest some sort of democratic basis of this? There is none. It’s an elite minority of an elite minority for both sides. It’s a power grab, and we are given fake choice options to distract from looking outside the box.
At least check out Nader if you believe in Democracy. Don’t play the game.
Of course, if Nader’s too real, and we just want to feel good like we fought fascism by trying to work with it…

Last I checked the one who “brought us…the was” was named Hillary Clinton.

Comment by candymarl | 2008-06-13 17:37:07

Yes, because Hillary Clinton and she alone caused the war in Iraq. No other Democrat voted for the resolution. Oh wait, John Kerry did. So did his running mate John Edwards.

Both were forgiven. Liberal/progressive blogs spent months during his campaign explaining how he didn’t vote for the war and how Kerry’s view was that Bush was required to go back to the UN first. That the deal was that the UN inspectors complete the job. Kerry explained that the vote was not an unconditional vote for war. The liberal/progressive blogs believed him. But Hillary is lying now and she, not Bush, is responsible. John Kerry said they were misled. He was believed. Hillary said the same and she’s lying.

Apparently Hillary was President at the time, advocated for the war, browbeat the Congress and Senate into voting for the resolution.

Man she’s good. Maybe she should be President considering all that she managed to do as not President.

There were rumors before she made her “suspension” speech that she had spent days speaking to SD’s who were not supportive, some people told her the fix was in and she needed to get out. They wanted ob for his database and they didn’t care if they lost the Presidential election as long as they had his contracts and contribution money flow.

They could afford to lose the presidency to McCain as long as they put up a good fight for it and earned brownie points with voters.

They could use the database to win mayoral, senatorial and congressional races for dems.

or so they thought… a funny thing though, the database is a big lie. It is filled with dead people and pets and not legal voters and also the money is from all sorts of dirty sources such as pre-paid credit cards. And the dems will be found out. They acted against democracy and will be exposed for it full force by the republicans and honest members of their own party… and of course they infuriated and disenfranchised people all along the way

The only way to get Senator Clinton some control is to help pay off her debt. Her web site does not redirect funds to the DNC or Obama. If she can clear the debt before the convention, she can play a wedge in all of these shenanigans.

We can gripe, wail and complain, but the only one with any power in this is Hillary Clinton. Thus we need to empower her with helping her clear down the debt.

There are rumors of a “Whitey” tape, too. You know the thirty minute tirade from the pulpit at Trinity United with Louis Farrakhan sitting next to her. Oh, wait, the PUSH conference wasn’t at the Sheraton, Louis Farrakhan wasn’t there and the whole event lasted two hours and she was just a “guest speaker” so a half hour tirade is pretty much unfathomable.

Ahhh…the truthiness.

Fact: Democratic Governor. Fact: Democratic Mayor. Fact: Federal investigations of corruption. Who’s heading this? Fitz the patron saint of the liberals and progressives until recently.

Rezko who did a real estate deal with Obama was just convicted. Obama himself doesn’t deny the terms of the deal. He doesn’t explain if the money involved was the clean or dirty money. Nor does he seem to care. He just calls it “boneheaded”.

Now, who would want to move their Party headquarters to a city were many prominent Democrats are under Federal investigation for corruption? To a city where some of these people have been convicted?

Obama has said he will not pardon Rezko if elected President. I expect him to keep his word.

Thank you for this article and for linking Barbara Jordan’s speech. I love your article, but your trolls are second rate.

I was thinking about Obama’s tactics of dividing the party. First he divided us by age, next he divided us by gender, and then he divided us by race. He has made his followers comfortable with making us the hated other, not worthy of respect. They don’t cling to old ideas, such as protecting the minority voice. I don’t imagine they’ll be stopping to reflect any time soon. These have truly become frightening times.

It’s so we will not have time to unite against a real third party.
No wonder we’ve never done it before, except when the Repulican party started. Sure, it got corrupted, but it was the first third party against slavery. Boy, those must have been the days, when Americans united in desire for real change, instead of cowering in fear and bickering over which horrible preset option was worse.

Andrew Johnson president–DEMOCRAT

Johnson-appointed governments all passed Black Codes that gave the Freedmen second class status. In response to the Black Codes and worrisome signs of Southern recalcitrance, the Radical Republicans blocked the re-admission of the ex-rebellious states to the Congress in fall 1865. Congress also renewed the Freedman’s Bureau, but Johnson vetoed it. Senator Lyman Trumbull of Illinois, leader of the moderate Republicans, took affront at the Black Codes. Trumbull proposed the first Civil Rights bill.
Although strongly urged by moderates in Congress to sign the Civil Rights bill, Johnson broke decisively with them by vetoing it on March 27.

Maybe both parties need to get Bolshevik’d for real. I am amazed we’re just realizin the two party system can leave us with no “real” choice.

It’s irony that the “Democrats” have been more against third options, and the “Republicans” have pushed harder to expand government survelance of Americans. Now the lines are really blurry though.

This is my vision. Obama will be for more “pretexts for war”. He will squash the notion of economic exploitation, while furthering it globally. He will create his own SS, basically taking Chicago corruption nationwide. His rulership may or not be bad for most Americans, who just shut up and support what they’re supposed to in the end. McCain won’t be as eloquent, but Congress and Senate will be just as impotent as they were with Bush. Either way, once either gets in, resistance does not matter. If we resist either once they’re in office, something may happen to “convince” us to unite with them.
On the slimmest of chances, we may realize we’re screwed, and vote Nader. There’s a reason he’s called a “conscience” vote. Sure, they’re a motley crew, but they mean the change Obama falsely advertises, and they’re for truly protecting America instead of going to wars that make us less secure. We already spend more on defense than the rest of the world combined.

Lourain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge speaks in his office in Lorain, Ohio as posters of Che Guevara and Barack Obama hang on his wall.

Guess that Obama supporter Judge James Burge is a member of Marxist fraction of Democratic Party

Is this one of those psychological word games, where if we refer to this DNC power play as a Marxist “movement” enough, it will be either be romanticized, or Marxism will be discredited as what Obama is doing? Obama is no more Marxist than McCain is.
If he had actually stuck to his guns on Wright’s philosophies, you could have said that, but he’s just another elite, political power player who throws anybody away once they get inconvenient.
Is this like where we changed the meaning of “terrorism” from using threats or force for political purposes, to only if the weapons are primitive?
The DNC faction behind this is doing it for social equality? That’s a nice cover, but it’s too paper thin. That would assume Obama does not deal with lobbyists and he’s really trying to “clean up” things. C’mon, say that with a straight face.

Stop with the PC Lie start to act like Americans
and pick-up a gun for life, mark your targets and make the ideals of 1776 become real and within one year we may see freedom back as law or 100,000 million dead inside the former usa.
