McCain is working for our votes – Obama Isn’t
By Owl06 on June 15, 2008 at 1:40 PM in Barack Obama, DNC, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Obama's Thugs
It has come to my attention that John McCain is actively meeting (in private one-on-one meetings and conference calls) with Clinton supporters, including women’s and GBLT groups. Senator Obama isn’t lifting a finger, and his high-level campaign folks are simply assuming that everyone is going to fall in line.
Democrats are not necessarily going to vote for McCain, but in a close election every vote counts. The fact is that many people are pissed off at the DNC and do not feel that Obama can win in November nor that he is qualified or trustworthy enough to be President. McCain can exploit that.
On a recent conference call that John McCain moderated himself, explicitly stated that he is a “fan of” Sandra Day O’Connor while not going so far as to say that he will nominate judges that will respect stari decisis and honor Roe v Wade. The danger is that he could meet the “good enough” threshold. He is also earning people’s respect.
Compound that with the brown shirt tactics that are being used to suppress anyone that expresses anything other than 100% orthodoxy and a shit storm is brewing.
In fact, it reminds me of when the neocons took over the republican party and silenced moderates.
This is troubling to me; arrogance does not win people over. Hell, Obama was out golfing during Hillary’s concession speech. Bullying does not win people over either. I’m not won over, but I will not vote for the old man because he backs awful policies.
I sincerely hope that the Obama campaign stops resting in its laurels and pays more than lip service to uniting the party. Wake up Senator Obama – we need to win back the White House, and that takes hard work.

“Hell, Obama was out golfing during Hillary’s concession speech. ”
Does that even mean anything?
It does to her supporters. It showed a lack of interest/respect. I guess you have to understand the concept to grasp it?
“Present”
beebop – I am voting for McCain based on his lifetime of service to this country as opposed to the Rap King with the finger problem. With everyday that goes by I find him less like a President and more like the radical his mentors taught him to be.
LOL – you speak for me S Hall.
“Wake up Senator Obama – we need to win back the White House, and that takes hard work.”
Since when are we running pro obama articles on the server?
yeah, what up with this?
I voted for George W. Bush, but I actually thought that Hillary would have made a pretty good President. The woman is smart. (smarter than Obama or McCain in my opinion.) You Hillary supporters, consider this. McCain is old, he won’t be serving more than one term, if he even makes it through one term. Hillary can run in 4 years again, she’ll only be 64. Hillary is one tough woman, I am in my 40’s and really admire her gutsy campaigning and how she refused to give up. I actually could see her as McCain’s running mate, but I know the Republicans wouldn’t go for that, or would they? As far as the health plan Hillary proposed, I am having second thoughts about Univ. health care. Maybe it’s not such a bad idea, why should people lose their life savings in middle age if they become seriously ill? (women like Elizabeth Edwards who get breast cancer, they can lose their jobs or have to work while they are sick.) What about a plan where Middle Aged Americans were offered a way to buy into Medicare before age 65? We pay for our car insurance, why not pay into medicare if we don’t have insurance through our job. It could be an option. Also, McCain wants to give a tax credit of $2,500 per person or something to offset paying for health insurance. (What is medicare worth in dollars per month I wonder?)That would lower the cost to the gov’t because there would be younger, healthier people in the gov’t pool. It could work the way that the Fed. Flood Ins. Program works, but you would have to buy into it. This might even help out the gov’t Medicare plan which is stressed by the baby boomers becoming eligible for Medicare starting this year. Also, we need to do more drilling for oil in this country off our coasts. I wish John McCain would push for this. This is a very important issue for middle class voters, the cost of gasoline. Canada is drilling for oil and they are now mining their shale oil (American Union Carpenters are going to Canada to do this work). We get much of our oil from Canada. We need to become more independent of OPEC and oil from countries in the Middle East. As far as windfall profits on oil companies are concerned, it is doubtful this would work (economists have said so already, it was tried by Jimmy Carter, did not work). The oil companies would drill less if they had to pay a windfall profit. People (and companies) become less productive if they are punished for being sucessful. We need to start drilling to kill the speculators from bidding up the price of oil so much. Demand has gone down due to people driving less, also we are starting a recession.
I think if he had been giving a speech or something then, he would have been accused of trying to step on her story. It was best that he gave her the entire day to herself. I think that was very respectful of Senator Clinton, her supporters, and the public.
Respectful?? How is it respectful that you’re out golfing when your DEM rival is trying to get her supporters to vote for you?
See here’s what he and the DNC thinks, everyone is going to fall inline and vote for him. But I’m banking a lot of people are just going to stay home that day.
Don’t bother calling us.. everyone’s out “sick”.
You see, Reader, one of barack Obama’s biggest problems is, frankly, assholes like you.
No, actually, one of Obama’s biggest problems is disrespectful people like you who don’t know that first letters of proper names are capitalized.
Sorry…I was replying to the wrong person, UW. Got confused for a minute. Too much reading about the “Anointed One” has given me a brain cramp. Big oops.
It means that a public “Thank you” that day or within the last week for his endorsement by Hillary Clinton would have been nice. Saying the obvious, that she was a formidable candidate, is not a thank you as he has offered numerous other backers.
It is not Hillary’s job to sell us on Obama. It is his job. He had ample power, to get a public statement thanking Hillary on the MSM. He did not make or take the time to do this, which was really bad strategy. He gave McCain space and time to seek Hillary’s supporters support.
Sorry, no sale. My vote is not for sale, Barack. I want you out of public life. You are a lying manipulator who has control over the media and who has taken over one of two major political parties in this country — before the party’s nominating convention.
I should have said behind that: I didn’t buy OB the first time and I surely won’t buy him now.
Soros is behind all of this. He ultimately wants to be king of the world. The only thing to stop him is the mobilizing of the blue collar and Hillary base. That’s why she got the boot.
yeah i will never buy ob either. he is an empty useless brand that you see on late night with phone numbers and that can do everything including producing miracles and buying it in several installments of 9.99 that will break down in one month tops…
Uh, how did you feel when you saw Bush playing guitar, while Katrina was baring down on New Orleans?
I was in New Orleans so I really wasn’t paying much attention to Bush, frankly. But I do know who has visited us and helped us since then and it’s not Obama. The only thing he’s done down here is given two speeches at private universities.
Hey Kat!
Naturally one of the speeches he gave was at Tulane, my alma mater. Figures…
R U back in NOLA? Have the Creole tomatoes come in yet? Gawd I’d give I-don’t-know-what for one of those good Creole ‘maters!!
So who has been down in NOLA — of the big politicians? Is anyone actually down there doing some recovery work? I know John Edwards opened his campaign there … has he been down there working for NOLA’s recovery?
strawberry — I felt the same way about Bush as I feel about Obama now. They are both careless — they creat chitstorms and then walk away smiling. How dare he say (referring to McCain)–if he bring a knife I will bring a gun. Then he said cause winning is the most important thing.Sounds like he is telling young people as long as you win anything you do is ok. He needs to grow up and stop listening to all his father/mentors who have conditioned him to be a radical.
Bush and Obama both “stay the course” amidst controversy and controversial associates – until their focus groups and polling indicate the people are PO’d.
iow – neither have the vision or insight to see potential problems – until they’re FORCED to see them.
Oops!
S.Hall, this is a life lesson for both of us, I really believed if one claimed to be a liberal, one would not give in to hate and violence, and the might makes right tactics. I truly thought we were the better party because we didn’t do things like that…Damn. I was wrong. These whack jobs have destroyed my party. But I must admit, many democrats didn’t just fall in line like the republicans did for Bush. That gives me a little hope.
I had the same reaction. Seeing people who questioned everything suddenly fall in step was an eye opener. What Bush did in 2000, and 2004, Obama is doing now. And many people don’t even realize that it is the same tactic. They bought the story, hook, line and sinker.
That, and their willingness to work with Republicans to eliminate Hillary. Either they forgot how the Republicans treated Bill in the late 90’s or they didn’t know or didn’t care as long as they got what they wanted.
i think ob was trying to win the nra vote with that comment…. hehe
Are Hillary’s supporters really voting for McCain in large numbers in the Fall? Do her supporters really hate Obama that much? McCain isn’t really a typical Republican, he is actually pushing for this Global Warming carbon credit, cap & trade which I am against. I feel it will hurt U.S. industry, and more jobs would be lost. Haven’t we lost enough jobs to China & India already? Why does McCain want cap & trade? The cost of cap & trade will be passed on to us, the consumer. Also, the windfall tax on oil companies will discourage oil companies from producing enough oil and there could be shortages (it has already been tried, I remember the 1970’s lines for gas). You don’t punish businesses for being successful in my opinion. It just doesn’t work. On the other hand, McCain wants to lower the corporate tax rate, which is good for business. We have the second highest corporate tax rate after Japan. Ireland lowered their corporate tax rate which attracted alot of businesses to Ireland. We are competing globally now. These corporations can move out of the country to more tax friendlier countries. McCain needs to realize this and capitalize on it. We need to encourage drilling off our coasts. China is drilling 50-60 miles off the Florida coast in cooperation with Cuba. If China is drilling 60 miles off FL we should be drilling 60 miles off FL. We are now in a recession, we should not be raising taxes on people, McCain needs to appeal to Hillary’s voters more and also appeal to the Republican base, which is tricky. Hard core conservatives are not happy with McCain but they are terrified of an Obama Presidency. They don’t want their successes to be punished. When Obama says things like: “We can’t drive our suv’s as much as we want, or eat as much as we want or keep our thermostats at 72 degrees because other countries won’t like it.” this strikes fear in the hearts of conservatives who don’t like the thought of collectivism. Hell, even Bill Clinton was more friendlier to businessmen than this Obama (he seems like a Marxist to me). Also, when he says things like, “we need to raise the capital gains rate to 28% because that’s “fair” it strikes fear in the hearts of conservatives because we know that if we owned a 2nd home or some stock that may have done well, we know when we sell it and we make our lousy $50,000 or $100,000 profit after years of sacrifice, we’re going to get whacked by Obama’s 28% capital gains tax. That was the money we were going to use to retire on and he’s going to whack us. In other words, we took the risk, and now the gov’t reaps the benefits of the risks we took. How is that “fair”? Also, a high capital gains tax is going to discourage people from investing in things like a second house to rent. (Which would hurt poor people who rent that houses.) We’ll put our money in municipal bonds instead. Or ask our accountant to put our money in another tax shelter device. Now, I am not a so-called rich person, I have a net worth under $500,000. It used to be higher, but the equity in my houses went down. I need money to retire on. Why does Obama want to discourage people like me from investing? Also, I am a person that put down 20% on my first home and 70% on my second home after I sold the first house. Why do people who put no money down on a house and took a subprime mortgage expect a bailout? Also, the banks that made these subprime loans should not have been bailed out, they should have to pay that money they were given back. I am tired of bailing out businesses for their lousy business decisions. The gov’t should be encouraging people to buy these foreclosures (people like me who actually sacrificed to have a nest egg in the bank). We could then fix them up and rent them out to people who don’t know how to manage their money and kept taking out equity loans when they had no equity. But no bank should be giving loans to people who put $0 down. Also, interest only loans are a bad idea. Didn’t these people read a book on how to buy a home? Didn’t their lawyer who did the closing tell them it wasn’t a good idea? Also, who didn’t know we were in a housing bubble? We all knew the housing bubble was going to burst. Anyone with half a brain knew it was coming for the last 3 – 4 years.
Please everyone, check out this website: http://www.dontvoteobama.net this guy has consolidated all of the information on Obama on one website in a very entertaining way. He was a Hillary supporter who is now supporting McCain. The site is only a few months old but worth checking out.
One act of disrespect doesn’t justify another.
Put down the puppy and get yourself a dog. Obama plays hardball style Chicago politics.
When he and his ollowers show disrespect it is always purposeful; it must not be ignored.
How did you feel when you realized that Fitzgerald is bearing down directly on Obama?
After Rove got away…eh, whatever…I’ll believe it when I see it. I refuse to get my hopes up that the truly evil and corrupt will ever be held to the same standard as you or me.
There’s an insufferable faux feminist infesting another site who claimed that Obama’s going golfing was HUMBLE as he was trying to “stay out of the spotlight.”
Someone has been huffing the HOPIUM, ya think?
I wouldn’t say it was humble, but I do think it was respectful to have Senator Clinton have the time and attention she so richly deserved and worked for.
You mean like when Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, and John Edwards endorsed Obama and Obama actually stood there to show how he welcomed the support? You need to pay closer attention to the reality of the situation.
Obama may have said he was out golfing but he was glued to the TV CHAIN SMOKING, I am sure
Still does not heed the Surgeon General warning on the pack?!?!?
Obama better not contact me if he wants my vote. They stopped sending me emails. I will not vote for him if he were the last man on earth. He isn’t qualified to be president can’t he and his cronies get it? You don’t go from managing a household of four people or an office with maybe 3 people to managing 350 million people. It just isn’t possible.
From what I’ve observed so far, Senator Obama doesn’t seem to be a fan of hard work.
If Senator Clinton’s ‘unity’ speech could not hand him over all her supporters, I suspect there was not a backup plan…certainly not one that involved Senator Obama actually getting out there and working for the votes.
yes i suspect he is a lazy slacker, and probably more than gw…. but also he expects everyone else to do all the hard work for him and when it doesn’t work out he has an excuse ready to go and maybe even a fall guy or gal or two… he is so not ever accountable for his own actions ever. gag me…
COMPLACENCY has its price.
Susan, if Senator Obama’s actions and past associations are any indication of future performance, I for one will be VERY surprised to see any real effort to uplift the party.
I really don’t think the obama camp knows the meaning of the word.
I think the Obamacrats sincerely believe that they do not need the castoffs of the Democratic Party (I mean Hillary’s supporters). They did go after the fundraisers and apparently the large fundraisers jumped over to him because that’s what they do. They’d jump to the devil if that would get them in the power loop. I think the Obamacrats like to think of us “on the outside looking in” and want us to beg to be taken back into the fold. Imagine. Now that’s what I call “silly season.” Nobama. Gonna make my vote count in November to make sure Barack and Michelle never set foot inside the Executive Branch.
Not all fundraiser….the big Jewish fundraisers went to McCain.
Soros began buying up the first generation of 527s, including outfits like MoveOn, ACT (America Coming Together), and Media Matters. Soros also played a pivotal role in the 2004 candidacy of Howard Dean, who bombed as a Presidential candidate, but was rewarded for his access to Soros loot with the chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee, after John Kerry’s loss to George Bush in November 2004.
From that perch, Howard Dean waged a ruthless campaign against candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton in the 2008 primary elections–in tandem with Soros’s Democracy Alliance, a secretive billionaires club, that pooled its money to take over and run a “vast left-wing conspiracy” of 527s, PACs, and think tanks, that has replaced any Democratic Party constituency organization.
yeah, if this whole paragraph did not mention a party name i would have thought this was about the repubs for years now, but no, it is about our own beloved party. what the hell happened to our party that was supposed to be for the people. makes me sick, it is a complete hijacking if you ask me and we are the passengers who are taking our lorazepam or lieing to ourselves that they aren’t going to actually try to crash the plane. i will never get on this plane, i would rather lose my $500 airfare than catch a plane that is doomed… i road on the first leg of the trip and it was smooth sailing, but there are signs that the second leg is going to be a nightmare… so i won’t get on…no way no how.
Malik Obama confirms his half-brother Barack grew up a Muslim
By Israel Insider staff June 13, 2008
http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12918.htm
“Apparently the Obamas of Kenya have been reading those scurrilous emails to which Barack likes to refer, because they have no doubt — contrary to the claims of the Obama campaign, that the presidential candidate was raised a Moslem. They take that as a given…”
Who is Israeli Insider and why do they have any credibility? Have they a record of having broken stories confirmed by others or do they generally publish rumors that aren’t confirmed?
Click the link.
Did they fabricate the picture of Obama?
Well, do you distrust The Jerusalem Post as well??
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1212659716936&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull
Malik Obama did, in fact, give an interview to Army Radio saying “that if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background.”.
Smear is just another word for uh, er, distraction (oh, yeah, Rev. Wrong/Wright — just a distraction).
It doesn’t matter what Obama does, I will never vote
for a fraud and a liar. i would rather have an”old”
man that has an obvious love for his country than
one who does not even allow questions to be raised
about him. Hitler comes to mind. I don’t know how
anyone could seriously consider Obama unless they
just simply don’t know about all his associates
Rezko, Ayers, Wright etc.etc.As far as the supreme
court goes, any nomination would have to get past
a democratic congress. i wouldn’t worry too much
about that one.
Same here, I do not care what he says or does, I will never vote for Obama, the racist, hate mongering, crook. That is another reason I do not understand these posts, here and elsewhere, that propose, that if Obama kisses enough ass, we will fall over ourselves to vote for his corrupt organization. I will never vote for Obama. No means No! Ayers, Dohrn, Wright, Pfleger, Rezko, etc………..No, never, will not, can not, shall not, vote for an unqualified, unfit, corrupt politician even if he is a “Democrat”.
bigtime — nor will I — The media can continue to feed me horsechit and call it steak but I will not bite. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER
I’m not sure what you mean by not allowing people to raise questions about him. I follow the news quite a lot and have seen a good deal of questions and commentary. There sure was when the Wright tapes came out!
You make a good point about McCain’s supreme court nominees. A Democrat controlled Congress will not allow McCain to nominate a Supreme Court Justice who is pro-life. Even though I voted for Bush, I don’t want Roe-v-Wade overturned. I am a woman who is pro-choice. No one has the right to interfere with women’s choices regarding pregnancy in my opinion. Even though I am not thrilled with partial birth abortion, it really isn’t my business. Also, McCain isn’t an Evangelical, so I doubt he is that much of a pro-lifer. He also doesn’t seem to be that religious, he doesn’t even go to church and he doesn’t talk about his church at all really. The Obama people think that women who voted for Hillary will vote for Obama on that issue (they don’t want Roe overturned.)
John McCain doesn’t have to work to get my vote, he got it the day the DNC stole my vote here in Florida and cost Hillary the nomination.
They want me to vote Obama baby…But I say no, no, no
Remember, Obama doesn’t need people, just our checks. Sorry I already gave to Hillary.
http://www.dontvoteobama.net this site will bring a smile to your face.
well i got that you wont vote for the ‘old man’…
I WILL…
‘ABO’…
(anyone but obama!)
I work twice as hard to defeat Barack Obama because of his followers. Imagine what arrogant pieces of nasty crap they would be if he won? Imagine how they would see it as a license to treat women like crap, maybe make them bleed a bit? The hell with this guy.
Can anybody imagine what this country would be if Obama got into office?
Think of the signing statements of Bush and what he has done to the constitution.
Anyone who questions or disents would be in a prison camp.
The DNC does not give a damn about America or we would not be in this danger.
COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS.
Heck, he even sat in a “church” that puts country (Africa) before God!
I’m not sure why you say that. After all, Obama did best in very progressive and feminist states like Oregon and Wisconsin. He also won women under 50 in nearly every state. And he is currently leading among women voters and has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood and NARAL. He also had more women Senators endorsing him than any other candidate.
Good for him. He’ll only lose a portion of us. The latest estimates seem a bit high….as much as 38% of traditional Dems.
But those aren’t all women, for sure.
It also includes the bitter, and those clinging to guns and religion.
Bitter Okay.
Guns Okay.
Religion Okay.
Those who trample on/triviaize that, NOT okay.
NARAL’s endorsement, timed at a critical point in the campaign for no reason other than to give Obama’s candidacy a boost and Clinton’s a kick in the pants—that is, for no reason germane to its own mission—has apparently cost it a significant exodus in membership. In response to my own e-mail of resignation, I received a disingenuous and carefully crafted letter from NARAL’s president. Surely I’d not have warranted all that effort had my resignation been the only one. I’m volunteering time with the local but will never give NARAL a penny more: collateral damage, I’m afraid, of Obamist manipulation.
I spend hours on youtube everyday, commenting on videos of Obama. A lot of people go on youtube, it’s the #3 most visited site, his videos get hundreds of views. There are hundreds of videos of Obama’s comments posted on youtube. I also spread the word of websites such as dontvoteobama.net which has links to other websites that are against Obama. The guy who runs dontvoteobama.net was also a Hillary supporter, now he supporting McCain. You should visit that site, it is really funny and creative. He also has a blog on that site that you can vent on. Spread the word. I could never vote for Obama, the man is the biggest opportunist I have ever seen.
I am working hard to spread the word about Obama too, I think he is evil. Check out this website:
http://www.dontvoteobama.net it is a really good site done by a Hillary supporter. It has great pictures and links, also a blog.
The DNC has taken women for granted for decades. They feel that all they have to do is be marginally better for women than the Republicans and we’ll just do all their phonebanking, precinct work, and voting on that basis alone.
They hang Roe V. Wade over women like Dubya hung 9-11 over us. Be FRIGHTENED! BE VERY AFRAID!!
Women’s votes aren’t the only ones Obambi feels entitled to: Latin Americans, Jewish Americans, Work Class Americans … the list goes on and on. HIs advisors read like a whose who of the Financial crisis and he thinks folks will vote for him because he wears the DNC label. Well, even the Unions are worried with his bringing on of Walmart loving Jason Furman to the Economics team.
This is a presidential candidate who says one thing, advisors do another thing, says another thing, DNC says don’t pay attention to the man behind the curtain..
They must think we ALL fell off the proverbial turnip truck yesterday!
The DNC sure have taken women for granted – you couldn’t have said this better. And Donna Brazile said it herself… they don’t need us to win. So quess what? I will gladly accommodate them.
McCain ‘08!!!
I really do believe that snObama believes that people will vote for him — that we will forgive and forget what he has done, what he has said and who his friends are.
No — never forget and never forgive — he is an arrogant, self centered bozo.
If he wants respect — he should have conducted his campaign in a respectful manner and tried to win legitimately.
Fact is — Obama lost.
And yes the take over of the democrat party is exactly like the neocon/religious wingnut take over of the Republican party.
Obama will be in jail eventually.
Any predictions for the DATE that Rezko starts talking??
Exactly. They must’ve missed the entire morning-after pill…in fact, the future of secret abortions may already be here. Just take high doses of regular birth control pills. I’m sure the info is out there.
It’s not that women “won’t allow” them to overturn Roe V Wade…it’s that MEN are sure as hell not gonna want the Pill to be outlawed and there’s your private abortion right there.
No one’s talking about it, but we don’t even need our Dem reps to do their job.
The entire Roe scare tactic is laughable.
They told us they they want to do away with the current Democrat Party. I take them on their word this time. I do believe this.
My husband is in a Union, Carpenters Union in NYC and I am voting for McCain. I don’t think McCain is anti-union. McCain needs to allow drilling though, off our coasts. Would that not create many more Union jobs for Americans?? I don’t understand this country’s environmental policies that are so restrictive. Also, what are these “green jobs” that Hillary was talking about? Do Democrats think that everyone is going to want to put solar panels on their homes? If so, we need a tax credit to put them on our homes, they cost over $20,000 to install. Also, how long does it take to re-coup the costs of these solar panels? Do any of you Hillary supporters have a problem with drilling off our coasts? If you do, why? We need to become more energy independant as Brazil is doing. Also, China is drilling off of FL. We cannot control China and Cuba drilling 60 miles off of FL. We should be going after that oil. Also, I live in a blue state, NJ, there is no chance that McCain is going to win NJ I fear. We have the highest tax rates in the country, as a result people are moving out of NJ. Consider that, if you live in a Democrat controlled state, you are going to be hit doubly hard by Obama’s tax & spend policies. I am now paying over $8,000 a year property tax on a 1900 sq. ft. house and Corzine will be raising that soon. We also have a 10% tax rate on our earnings. He raised the rate on non food purchases from 6% to 7%. He is raising taxes on everything to fund the pensions of all the gov’t jobs in NJ. We are a state of mostly gov’t jobs. Also, we have NYC close by, so we benefit from that relationship, but Mayor Bloomberg wanted to charge people $8 to drive into Manhattan. That on top of paying $8 to go through the Lincoln & Holland Tunnel. So, I feel that I pay enough in taxes, also, I live in a blue state, surrounded by blue states of NY, Connecticut, Massachusetts, etc. So I feel that needs to be offset by someone like McCain. Hopefully NJ will wake up to that fact. Their union jobs are not threatened we have Democratic governors and legislatures. We need to keep jobs in this country. More jobs will leave if the tax rates on corporations are raised, you can count on it. The company my husband works for is pro union, but they won’t want to build condos anymore if they are hit with more taxes. We need to be pro business, we should not be punishing businesses for success. The main thing about Bush was that he was pro-business as was Bill Clinton. We are competing with the world. Corporations can move to other countries, they are global.
You could see at the end of the primaries speeches. McCain started out by praising Hillary and Obama started out by praising himself.
Obama cribbed “sore” metaphor from his Palestinian buddy Rashid Khalidi
By Israel Insider staff May 20, 2008
When he termed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a “constant sore” last week, Sen. Barack Obama appeared to be echoing the comments days before of his friend Rashid Khalidi, a Palestinian professor who actively advocates the elimination of Israel. In an interview with the Atlantic published earlier this month, Obama was asked whether he thinks Israel is a “drag on America’s reputation overseas.” Obama replied: “No, no, no. But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy.”
http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12858.htm
Yes, Colin, Obama, like Carter, does seem to sympathize with extreme Arab views; the Jewish people need to wake up and take notice.
Ever the plagiarist.
Besides “follow the money” with Obama you need to “follow the phrase.”
Follow “audacity” and see where Obama picked that one up…and from which Wright rant he claimed to have missed.
Roe v Wade is a non-issue and always was. It’s used as a wedge, nothing more. If Bushnut could have changed that he would have. He can’t and nobody can. If not the Federal, then the States, pure and simple. It never was a federal issue to begin with. BUt since it has been made one, how come the coward Nancy Pelosi doesn’t carve it in stone from her legislative branch? How come Nancy hasn’t done a lot of things?
It’s a non-issue. Period.
They pretend, but then they count up the votes.
This shouldn’t be a surprise. Just another defining characteristic of BO: playing the RACE card while preaching UNITY, playing no-lobbyist card while amassing money through the backdoor, …. here playing on FEAR politics while preaching HOPE. Classic con artist.
he’s sneakier than that … he has his proxies play the race card for about 2 days, then he preaches unity
he has his proxies do the lobbyist thing and money, then he preaches no big money …
Listen everyone. I lived before Roe vs. Wade. Women still had abortions. They’ve had them since the beginning of time. Yes, when they are illegal, they are more expensive and harder to get and more dangerous. But with the morning after pill, the need for them should be less. Women would certainly be more careful, as they were before Roe.
Besides which, I agree that McCain is not going to go after Roe. What would he gain from doing that? If he’s already President, he most likely will go back to his natural self (instead of the awkward and embarrassing act he’s been putting on the last four years in his fake lovefest with GWB) which is a person who compromises with Democrats.
In fact, I would imagine he would be easier for the Dems to work with than Obama. Who the hell knows what kind of President Obama would make? He came out of nowhere and he tells everyone what they want to hear (he’s against Nafta unless he’s talking to the Canadians, he’s for one-payer universal health care when he’s running for the Senate and against it when he’s running for President, he’s damned mad about those energy companies and their obscene profits unless he’s voting for the 2005 and 2006 Energy bills which gives the energy companies everything they want. As far as Roe is concerned, why did he think it was a fine idea to vote for SC justice Roberts until his political advisors told him that maybe it wouldn’t be if he wanted to run for President as a Democrat?
The man has no soul, no beliefs, no class. He is a go along to get along crooked Chicago politician who doesn’t care all that much where his money is coming from and who gets hurt (like his constituents in his district who were living without heat and water because of his support for Rezko, their slumlord?)
This man is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Don’t vote for him. McCain, with all his faults and his crazy ideas (believe me, I have a hard time with this myself) is the only thing standing between us and an Obama Presidency. I will vote for McCain and I’ve been voting Democratic and working for Democrats since I could first vote in 1964.
Obama is really bad news. Don’t let the corporate thugs and the mob and international crooks in Iraq like Nadhmi Auchi take over the Democratic Party the way they have taken over the Republican one.
Please.
Well, guess the women for Nobama will have to take up that mantel, they sure don’t seem to appreciate any of us older women who already fought that battle. They should’ve voted for Hillary if they were so concerned about Roe v Wade.
No offense.
The main issue for the supreme court now is not RvW…it’s the 2nd amendment. Gun laws. and we all know how Obomba feels about the 2nd amendment.
He is against it.
I voted for Bush, then I had buyer’s remorse when we had an unneccessary war with Iraq. I liked that Bush was pro-business though. We are living in a global economy. Corporations can re-locate. So putting a windfall tax on oil companies won’t work. I am old enough to remember Carter doing that and the long gas lines. I am too old to get pregnant(I think!). I doubt that McCain will be able to overturn Roe. There would be a huge outcry from women. Also, the states can do what they want regarding abortion. I live in NJ, we will always have abortion in this state. I am voting for John McCain because I cannot pull the lever for Obama. I feel that Obama is evil. Also, re: Iraq, we will be leaving that country, but we are going to have to leave some troops there (at least 20,000 no matter if McCain or Obama is elected, we are not leaving that country to de-stabilize the Middle East). We are there, we cannot in good conscience leave till their military can do the job themselves). Hopefully, that will happen soon. We have troops around the globe, that is the nature of the U.S. Obama is not going to bring all the troops home. However, if we elect this man who has Muslim blood, who knows what will happen in regards to Israel’s situation? I am not Jewish, but do want to have a war where Israel would be destroyed by Iran? Would Obama allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon to be used on Israel? Or a suitcase nuke which could be used against us? Also, he was being advised by Zbigniew Brzezinski and his son, the man was Carter’s advisor, Brzezinski has some very controversial views regarding Israel and Russia from what I have read of him. He also was the one who got Russia involved in the Afghanistan war in the 1980’s and called it Russia’s Vietnam. He has some kind of hang up about Russia since he is Polish and Poland was controlled by the U.S.S.R. soviet bloc. Also, McCain is old, he is only going to have one term. Hillary can run again in 4 years. I don’t like the way that Obama has disrespected Bill & Hillary. Bill Clinton was a good President when all was said and done.
uppity — right you are. There is a morning after pill now and the right wing has done their jobs well — young women today are proud to bring a life into the world. Unlike the 60’s when there was shame connected to giving birth without a husband. Row V Wade is just a yawn now.
Another good point, s. hall. Single moms are common now, so this is a passe issue.
I think the reason the discussion hasn’t been updated is that it’s a fundraising issue.
You are right. If Roe v. Wade did not get completely overturned in the last 8 years, it will not be overturned under a McCain presidency. And, whether McCain publicly states that he will only select nominees for Supreme Court Justice that “believe in stare decisis” is irrelevant. All judges believe in stare decisis; that is what common law is about. The issue is really WHEN a judge deems an issue to be settled.
Arguably, since Obama was in favor of legislation legalizing third-term partial birth abortions (when the baby was actually alive for up to 30 minutes after being removed from the mother’s uterus), this extreme position would do more to outrage those on the far right and mobilize them. In my opinion, when you have a moderate person in office, these kinds of wedge issues have less traction.
WASHINGTON — President Bush is expected to announce next week that Army tours in Iraq and Afghanistan will be reduced from 15 to 12 months, FOX News has confirmed.
Off topic but I tried to post this several times under another blog and it did not appear.
For those who missed the CNN special on Obama’s run for the state senate:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3Ned5TQoW4
Obama’s false claims of legislature accomplishments:
nuclear waste – NYT article 2/3/08 Mike McIntire “nuclear leaks and response tested Obama in Senate”.
Everytime I tried posting the link, my posting does not appear.
Take the http:// off the link. The software wants to reject the post when that is included. Just use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3Ned5TQoW4 and you’ll have no problems
wierd, the software added the Http:// after I took it off.
C’mon Larry …. Give us some more on the Michelle Obama “whitey” video!
What are your “sources” saying now? Are you still convinced that this video exists? Have your sources clammed up because the GOP doesn’t want the impact of the video to be diluted before they release it in October? Or have you simply been “had”?
I note that Obama, in all of his righteous indignation, never came out and flatly denied that such a video exists, instead insisting that Michelle Obama never used the word “whitey”. He could easily have said “Look, no such videotape exists.” but unless I missed something, he didn’t. However, his campaign’s new website http://www.fightthesmears.com specifically states that …
“No such tape exists. Michelle Obama has not spoken from the pulpit at Trinity and has not used that word.”
So, are you still standing by your story?
I have Michelle Obama’s Whitey…
…in my pants.
Fishing for trolls or shooting trolls in a barrel, which is easier?
Dan — you are not serious are you????? The way that woman talks! — you don’t believe there’s a tape. Of course there’s a tape and it will be shown when it can do the Obama’s the most harm.
I’m not sure how familiar you are with fact-checking sites, but to me they are a lot more persuasive when they provide some kind of evidence to back up their assertions.
As I recall Obama didn’t deny anything.
He just hoped this campaign would be “above” questions like this.
Stop fishing for leads on the tape so you can report back to stinky’s camp about it. We are not telling any more about it.
My thoughts exactly. He did not say that there was no tape, he said she never said “whitey” on tape. I am hearing that the rant was about Bill Clinton. There is also a picture of Michelle with Farrakhan’s wife. Go to this site: http://www.dontvoteobama.net to see the newspaper photo. Also, that smear site doesn’t address a tenth of the rumors on Obama.
McCain officially got my vote on June 7.
Democrat Says Some Cutting Remarks About Barack Obama
Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine:
Inside Job
The Barack Obama campaign may have to update its new Web site set up to combat vicious rumors thanks to a fellow Democrat.
Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee member Fred Hobbs tells The City newspaper in Nashville, “I don’t exactly approve of a lot of the things he stands for — and I’m not sure we know enough about him. He’s got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be.”
Hobbs was giving an interview to the paper about fellow Tennessee Congressman and Democratic superdelegate Lincoln Davis, who has not yet declared his support for Obama.
Reacting to Hobbs, Davis’ Chief of Staff Beecher Frasier says he does not know for sure if Obama is terrorist connected, but he assumes he is not.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,366921,00.html
Is Tom Daschle out to turn over the entire Democratic Party to his friends on K Street–even at the expense of winning the elections in November? They seem to be thoroughly undeterred by the potential consequences of their own behavior. It is stunning.”
Since he was voted out of office in Nov. 2004, Tom Daschle has been a fixture, along with his wife, among the notorious K Street lobbyists. K Street NW in Washington, D.C. is the home to all of the big lobbying firms, representing corporate interests, Wall Street, and foreign governments. In Jan. 2005, Daschle went to work for the K Street law firm, Alston and Bird, where former Republican Presidential candidate Bob Dole already worked at a reported annual salary of $1 million. Ex-Senator Daschle’s wife, Linda, has been a top lobbyist for a decade at Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell. Among her major clients are Boeing, United Technologies, American Airlines, Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals and the American Trucking Association.
At the weekend state Democratic Party convention in Washington State, and at the California Executive Board meeting, the pattern was overwhelming: Clinton delegates were shunned aside, harassed by Obama national campaign operatives, and basically told that they were not welcome. Any talk of “party unity” is pure fiction, one delegate after another complained to LPAC organizers. Top party officials confirmed that the Obama campaign and the DNC are being “cleansed” of all Hillary Clinton loyalists, and Howard Dean has personally let it be known that he intends to prevent a roll call vote at the Convention in Denver in late August, which would demonstrate the still-strong support that Senator Clinton enjoys among a vast number of Democrats. Traditionally, all major presidential pre-candidates address the convention, and a roll call vote is taken, before the winning candidate is annointed. “If Howard Dean can prevent Hillary Clinton from attending the convention in Denver, he will,” one top Clinton supporter reported.
This outrageous behavior is by Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Daschle, and Al Gore. Behind all of them is Soros and his billionare club. So Obama is just a puppet. Whenever the FDR stance of the party is threatened, it’s London wall street and others who are guilty. They want a One nation government. Hillary threatens that because of her
non elite base.
I’m just amazed by the attitude. Just amazed.
They expect to win while treating people like trash?
Yes McCain is fired up and ready!
A bit that has me wondering…..well a LINK that has me wondering.
http://www.ncobra.org/aboutus.htm
YOU could click on GET INVOLVED and it took you straight to OBAMA’s website. Yep sure did. I think they have ‘changed’ that…wonder why?
Obama and his cronies are so lame.
Dakinikat:
Such a good point.
OINC (Anglachel’s new name for the DNC–Obama Idolaters National Committee) will do and say anything.
I keep thinking about Charles Lemos’s piece on the Bolshevikization of the Democratic Party. http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/06/13/the-bolshevikization-of-the-democratic-party/
I suggest everyone do a little homework on the Bolsheviks. Lemos has nailed it.
I experienced the Bolsheviks first hand when I was a poster on MYDD. They relish the Obama
“revolution” and the changing of America; they are punks who favor a far-left agenda. In fact, many of us who faught them there were censored and banished
from the site for our efforts; just like riverdaughter was thrown out of DailyKos.
Facism is alive and well on America’s college cmapuses today.
The far left isn’t going to get anything from Obama. Are they ignoring Rev. Meeks? Obama has known Meeks and Farrakhan, who also isn’t far left, longer than he has known any “Far Left” people.
Sorry, with all the crap and disinformation you threw at Obama during the last six months or so, why inthe world should he come crawling over here to get your votes. Would you? Would you lower yourself to beg for a few votes from people promoting the Larry Sinclair smear? Or the Whitey smear?
I’d tell those people to go f themselves!
But that’s just me and I have too much self respect to do that.
Maybe you don’t.
I have too much self respect to vote FOR obama..I wouldn’t care if he crawled here with a million $$ in his mouth….. NOBAMA
what did he do to you? I really got to know. You make it sound like he raped on of your kin.
such hatred.
He stepped on the throats of the poor in Chicago to get contracts for Rezko and his cronies for kickbacks and campaign contributions. Thats more than enough for me to NEVER vote for him. All the rest is just icing on the cake for me, but damn that icing is about 20 miles thick now!
Those you see following the Obamessiah are not Democrats, though the species may try to look similar. They are in fact nothing but JACKASSES!
P.U.M.A.
Link please.
You idiots can do your own research — use Google.
ALL the information about Obama’s dirty crooked dealings can be found on the Internet.
We are NOT here to do Obamabot research. We have seen the research — now it is your turn to do your homework.
Oh hell just go back to the Orange stain and play with yourself.
Do your own research, Hopium addict.
Look up how Obama reamed out the journalist who followed his entire career when he revealed that Obama fraudulently claimed credit for bills others authored and worked on.
But you don’t need a link to know this (only a single working brain cell and a shred of morals your parents probably made every effort to impart to you):
Obama fraudulently accepted delegates hijacked from Hillary even tho his name was not on the MI ballot.
Crap, excrement, bullshit, thy name is Obama, thy name is Tim, and all who exalt fraud like the traitors to this country they are.
Obama is the front man for the evil doers behind the scene. He is a “patsy”
Self respect cant vote sweetie.
But don’t worry millions of us won’t be voting for your candidate that has no self respect as demonstrated time and time again.
Since when is Larry Sinclair’s revelations a smear?
Did you read it at Fightthesmears’ website?
Ha!…think about that for a second.
Will LS be on FtS website after his Nat’l Press CLUB debut? Or never?
Hopefully, YOU will bring it up with Obama’s FTS, cause I doubt they want to touch it. They’d have
to go on record. BO and co. are so afraid of LS that they pretend he doesn’t exist.
Why didn’t LS pass the lie detector test? Will he be taking another one or offering any evidence to support his tale?
Maybe he did pass the test and they are lieing. We haven’t seen the substaiating documents proving one way or another.
Because it has been estimated that 20 percent of Hillary supporters said they will never vote for Obama, that is about what…almost four million? and how many votes did Gore and Kerry both lose by? Add to that all the non Hillary supporters who would never vote for Barky, you know, we call them republicans. Add to that all the independants he keeps insulting by calling them bitter, racist Archie Bunkers who cling to guns and religon. Who have you got left? A bunch of angry, college students (a very unreliable bunch to be sure, you’d better hope there aren’t too many Rave parties the night before the election) and balding old hippies like Ayers still holding grudges that they didn’t blow up more innocent people back in the day.
Your numbers are off. Currently Obama is getting support from 80% of Democrats and McCain is getting support from 82% of Republicans.
Obama is leading among independents.
And there are far more Democrats than Republicans.
Links please.
Has anyone here been to this website http://www.dontvoteobama.net it has some good info on Obama and is very entertaining. Check it out.
Tim o — maybe because Obama would need our votes to win?????
You Might have to much respect to tell us to go f*** ourselves, But OBAMA AND THE DNC DON’T. They have told us that over and over, they already made it quite clear. We are now returning the gesture. You don’t need us. Well we certainly don’t need or want you. NOOBAMA
I don’t think he should. I think he should continue to be arrogant and dismissive. I think he should do one of his speeches and flick us all off his shoulder, making people like you cheer and yell, “Yes, we Can!”
I think he should be true to himself and to his supporters.
Please do go back to HuffPo where your nest is.
TIM O:
Thanks for your POV, sweetie.
It will surely work against Obama in the weeks to come.
Keep up the vitriol.
Look , Tim, I don’t know who Larry Sinclair is, and I couldn’t care less.
But I have studied Obama’s policy positions and his manipulative flip-flops, and I watched his campaign falsely paint the Clintons as racists who hoped he would be assassinated.
I wouldn’t vote for that gutter low life if my life depended on it.
Clear enough for you? You reading this, Axelrod?
Now buzz off.
Amen, Mary.
It reminds me of that event too. Apparently Obama still seems to believe that we will vote for him so he makes no effort. At least McCain thinks that we might vote for him and therefore reaches out.
But then again, McCain is the politician that has an actual track record of reaching out and across to Democrats. Something that Obama fellow just dreams about.
Absolutely!
Neolibs = Neocons.
They are the EXACT mirror image, and they will NEVER admit it!
yep. Extremists are extremists. makes no difference left or right, they are just way out there.
Just remember all the
HitlerObamaYouth spewing hate towards hillary on this and so many other sites for months and make sure to stick your vote where it counts in november.Send their plastic jesus back to where it was spawned…the gutters of chitown politics.
Jeremiah — I am from Chicago and let me tell you about the Mayor’s Daley–they have been successful because they know how to work with people. Chicago Politics is one hand washes the other. You do for me and I do for you. Is it crooked sure but it works because the city works. The problem with Obama is that he hates anyone who doesn’t fall at his feet and tell him how gorgeous he is yech.
Obama has a glass jaw and he is as bitter as his wife. In order to be a successful President you have to put your own prejudices aside for the greater good. An Obama administration would be an utter failure on day one because he would only trust the people who are totally loyal to him. Can you imagine Louis Farahkan in the Cabinet?
I have been very impressed at the Republicans and Fox news and how they have been courting our vote.
The are smart enough to realize that most dedicated Clinton supporters are rational moderate Reagan Democrats and with them McCain can win.
Over at Uppity’s site there is a video by Carly Fiorina
Such a sweet woman.
I hope McCain picks her!!!
I am by no means a Reagan DEM. I for one tend toward, Kucinich and Maxine Waters Dems, 2 Dems that are both insightful enough to call for impeachment articles on Bushites.
I am a firm Hillary supporter, but please remember that there are many of us “leftist” types that are smart enough to know a “regime” whether it reigns from the far right or far left.
seattle — the only administrations which work are those where the President governs from the center. Reagan and Clinton both had two terms because the American people trusted them–
That’s actually not true. FDR served for 12 years. Hard to call the New Deal Centrist.
Let’s get a petition going to urge McCain to pick Carly Florina. He needs an economic cohort.
I’d rather go with the maverick than the newly minted megalomaniac.
You can’t undo your past associations that the Fascist media studiously avoids mentioning.ts
We know where McCains stands and/or at least his limits, we know nothing of The One’s limits, and have just scratched the surface of his criminal past.
Its only a matter of time before all the people know more than the Clift-note, redacted version of the Dictator in Waiting, and they are going to be PISSED.
Pissed off at the DNC and the Fascists media.
Hillary will save the day.
PARTY UNITY MY ASS.
Ahh the maverick myth.
and what makes Obama a megalomaniac? People like him?
Put down that McKoolaid.
McCain is despised by the ultra conservatives. He’s always been called a maverick because he does what he wants to do.
I don’t drink Kool-aid. That is a Obama Orc specialty…reserved for zombies and nuts such as yourself.
Megalomaniacs are a bit like George Dubya, born on third base and he thinks he hit a triple. With Obama, he steals elections, pays for crowds, and thinks he’s Emperor, answerable to no one.
Deep — great line newly minted megalomaniac.
Thry have discounted Hillary. She is a threat to Soros taking over the world.
Also McCain is scrapping for all the votes he can get. The Hagee vote, James Dobson vote, Falwell vote, Robertson Vote.
He’s trying for the Hillary Vote when he doesn’t support any of Hillary’s positions.
Why would you people support McCain when he doesn’t support your positions and Obama does?
I’m guessing that if Obama rushed over to the Hillary voters the day Hillary conceded you would say he’s just pandering.
It doesn’t matter what Obama was doing during Hillary’s speech. If she asked him to be there, he would have. She wanted the time for herself which I can respect. Should he have gone to church, or sat in a hotel room watching the speech? Hillary and Obama have been going non stop for the past year. Don’t they deserve a break?
Stop trying to conflate McCain’s bipartisanship. Those days are long gone. Lost at Liberty University and at the feet of the Shrub. That pathetic Hug on the stump where McCain looks like a lost child in Bush’s arms was the last straw for me.
I would have voted for McCain in 2000 but now I know the real McCain the calls his wife the C word and doesn’t correct his supporters when they called Hillary bitch.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
You wake up and smell the coffee. You really think we will support that thief?
Yes ofcourse some of his policies are similar to hillaries. he stole them from her website when people were busting his nuts for not having any policies.
He will say anything and do anything to get elected.
That is much much much scarier than antoher 4 years of a moderate conservative in the white house.
Especially with the democrats controlling both the senate and congress he can’t do much. Perfect setup for Hillary in 2012.
Obama…good god the man is a bafoon, an empty suit a plagerizing speach giver and a mysogonistic prick.
The man is dangerous, dangerously inexperienced, and completely out of touch on how to deal with economic or foriegn issues facingt this nation.
The last thing we need is Obushma. We already had an idiot and his gestapo in charge for 8 years. we dont need the same thing again with another idiot inexperienced bafoon and his hitleryouthesque though police gestapo and their hatemongering “you are a racist if you dont support obama” tactics.
Obama can chock on his racebaiting hate spewing surrogates for all i care.
In November we will Remember who denigrated and vilified Hillary and Bill to steal the nomination…that was not McCain.
Just say no to Bacrack!
How can you compare obama and bush?
Obama didn’t get into Harvard and graduate because his family was full of Senators, oilmen and Presidents.
He’s qualified to teach Constitutional Law! They don’t just hand out those degree’s at Harvard like candy, stupid.
You can’t even give me any racebaiting quotes that came from Obama. your a phony conservative troll.
Yes, let’s see his grades from Columbia…I’ve heard they were abysmal. Has he released those records yet?
How does a young man who is not Caucasian get into an Ivy League school with grades like that? I think we all know the answer.
Just askin’
“typical white person”
Obama didn’t get into Harvard and graduate because his family was full of Senators, oilmen and Presidents.
He got in on a legacy scholarship, just like Bush.
He’s qualified to teach Constitutional Law! They don’t just hand out those degree’s at Harvard like candy, stupid.
With his MBA, Bush is qualified to teach Business Administration courses. They don’t hand out degrees at Yale like candy, stupid.
You can’t even give me any racebaiting quotes that came from Obama. your a phony conservative troll.
Here’s an article by Sean Wilentz in The New Republic entitled, “Race Man: How Barack Obama played the race card and blamed Hillary Clinton”:
http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=aa0cd21b-0ff2-4329-88a1-69c6c268b304
Dad went to Harvard. That made it much easy for him to get in as a “legacy” student. Do you understand why we hold you trolls in such low esteem? You are lazy and ill informed … it is a waste of a mind, really.
We all saw the race memo on how to paint the Clintons as racists.
It was all over the internet.
Guess you didn’t like that fact and conveniently erased it with Kool-aid.
Obama is a Harvard legacy.
Not to mention Affirmative Action.
He WAS NOT A CONSTITUTIONAL LAW PROFESSOR! That is another lie. He was an intern. Call up the college. They’ll tell you the facts.
He also graduated at the bottom of his class as an affirmative action student. He could not be accepted otherwise. The same goes for his wife.
How many times do we have to repeat ourselves?
Yes, that’s precisely the point…you folks should have thought about this all during the long months of the primary, when no matter what Hillary said or did, everything was always perceived as wrong.
Just remember, we could have had Hillary.
he doesn’t share our values, troll bait. he is racist, hates women, dislikes white people, and is a liar.
those are not the values that drew many of us to HRC.
ps–obambi is going to lose.
Tim — I will vote for McCain to stop Obama because I don’t trust anything Obama says. He has no experience and surrounds himself with leftist radicals. At least I know McCain’s character and that is good enough for me.
I don’t expect McCain to respect my opinions or represent my positions. I did expect that from Democrats.
It’s not about Obama for me. It’s about the disrespectful attitude of the Democrats toward voters.
How you could condone what happened is alarming. This is not the Democratic party you should support.
I’m not stupid, I know who and what McCain is and I know when he’s pandering to women. But just the same, when he says something charming it’s like being punched in the stomach, because he says the same words so many of us democrats desperately wanted to hear from Obama. We never have. Obama has never said he values us, he wants our votes. He’s never condemned his preachers for their language against Hillary. He’s never talked about how much respect he has for Hillary’s historic campaign and she herself as a politician. He’s never spoken about increasing women’s representation in government when he is president.
McCain has said all of these things.
He did all those things you said he didn’t do and if you want me to dig out the quotes, I will.
It just sounds like everyone here wants their butt kissed. It’s odd.
I voted for Hillary in the AZ primary.
I didn’t like the direction she took her campaign, so I switched.
The thing you people here won’t acknowledge is that out of the 18 million people who voted for Hillary, a vast majority didn’t vote for Obama, not because they hated him, but liked Hillary better. And those same people are OK with voting for him now. The PUMA’s are a minority.
Remember last year when we still had 8 or nine candidates in the race? everyone was saying “We couldn’t go wrong with any of these candidates, except maybe Gravel
.
I still don’t get the visceral hatred for Obama.
McCain want’s your vote, not your agenda. He won’t give you a fair supreme court. He’ll give you another Reinquist to pay back the Religious Right wackos. He made a promise to them, and it’ll be a nice young ultra conservative that will live for a very long time and crush women’s rights and workers rights. And all he has to do is kiss your butt? That’s a cheap date.
Yes, please dig up all those quotes. And show me his conference call to Hillary supporters. Show me where he says he’s going to increase women’s representation in his administration.
And by all means, post something about him apologizing to Hillary for Rev Wright and Father Pfleger’s comments.
He won’t meet with the public. Oh, except on July 4th when everyone is too busy to watch. *haha
He’s gonna do a photo op in Europe instead.
That’s our Bwuck-Bwuck!
Rev. Wright, Fr. Pfleger ringin’ any bells? Mirror images of Haggee. The biggest difference is, Mccain has to suck up to his base. He pissed them off years ago by calling them ‘agents of intorlance’. Barky actually believes the shit Pfleger and Wright spew. Both were spiritual advisers to barky. If you can’t see the difference than God be with you and don’t forget to bring that gun to the knife fight. PS shut up about womens’ right and workers’ rights. Ask Maytag workers about how they fell about barky. And ask Rev. Wright how he feels about gay rights and womens’ rights.
The thing that gets me is how the dregs wasted on Hopium howled on and on about how the media never questioned McCain on Hagee.
In other words, the morons conceded that Obama’s “spiritual advisors” were a serious issue.
You’re right. He’ll get about 70% of her supporters.
The other 30% will not vote Democrat.
That’s a big bite.
YEP.
And in those crucial swing states without which he can not win, they already hate him for the things HE has done.
Michigan, Florida……gone
Ohio, Pennsylvania…..too bitter and clingy
Hell, McCain even has him tied in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Down with Kerry and Obama in MA!!!!!!
McCain wins NH, hands down.
oh pshaw. stop your fear tactics, sweetie.
obambi is so arrogant, he drips with it. easy to dislike a guy like that, viscerally.
how do you like being hoodwinked and bamboozled?
Obama is a fake, an egomanaic, and really doesn’t care about america. he cares only for himself. very easy to see this, unless you are bathed in koolaid, like you sound.
Yes. Being a minority is a bad thing? A wrong thing? A scary thing? A dangerous thing? You may want to give that some thought.
I’m not sure where you are getting this information but you are just grabbing at straws.
This is not what I’m hearing from Americans in the swing states who do not blog. They voted for Hillary and will not vote for Obama. Period.
Are you American? Canadian? From the middle east?
yttik — in fact Obama has said he doesn’t need our votes just our checks.
Sen. McCain doesn’t have to work at all to get this Hillary supporter vote. He already has it. Give me a break about the Roe v Wade already. Which will not be overturned anyway. There are way more important things to worry about than this. Home Security, Energy, Economy, Health Care, Education. Just another scare tactic so we will not vote McCain. If that is all you got, Obama should give it up now. This Hillary support wants what is best for my children, grandchildren, country and the entire world. Not what is best for our political party, (my former political party) the DNC. We do not need to put an unexperienced man whom has many many questionable associates, many who are terrorists, anti-American radicals, with a list that grows daily.
Hillary /McCain the choice is a no brainer !!!
Carly Fiorina: Is the queen of offshore outsourcing, worker displacement and globalization. I’m sorry but I’m fairly certain we have no choice beyond voting 3rd party. Even worse Obama is now saying there is “nothing he can do to stop outsourcing” and implications that he will continue with the Rubineconomics, which are basically the corporate/special interests agenda endorsed by Bill Clinton and Bush and now McCain. One of the first things he did was put the director from the Hamilton Project in his economic advisers, not saying that Goolsbee was any better, but assuredly is NOT the change most Americans are thinking about.
But, to tout out Carly Fiorina is just pathetic. She is one of the most hated figures among working America, especially professional workers…she lined her own pockets with ill conceived mergers and destroyed HP from it’s former self and also did similar things at Lucent.
Bob O voting third party will not stop Obama — Only voting for McCain will. Of course Obama will not stop outsourcing. The trolls that come in here are from Palestine–couldn’t they find any articulate spokes people for Obama in this country? It really galls me–I remember the PLO.
Time and profit has shown that her decision to have HP buy Compaq was right. At the time HP was a maker of printers. The merger made them a big player in computers. Even her harshest critics acknowledge that she was right, they just couldn’t see it at the time.
Yes, her compensation pay is large. As large as Jim Johnson’s when he left Fannie Mae. The difference is that what she did at HP made it profitable. What Jim Johnson did at Fannie Mae left it nearly bankrupt and contributed to the subprime mess. But you’re right, these corporate heads should share in the losses as much as they do the profits. These compensation packages are outrageously big. Why is it losses are passed on to shareholders and workers, but these people don’t have to be bare any of it?
False. HP is a shadow of it’s former self. They especially were hurt in future innovation because they subjected their staff to labor arbitrage. It was only by firing her that HP started to recover.
I forgot to say, her duties as CEO of HP was to make the company and its shareholders money. Her role as adviser to McCain is to help him create an economic policy that will profit American and the American people. I don’t see her being any problem with her advising him. I think it is a good thing. He has other economic advisers. I’ve heard one of them on CNN and she was very knowledgeable.
I will vote for McCain. If there is no security, there is no chance for economic prosperity.
There are too many reasons why I won’t vote for Barky. But the one that keeps twirling around in my head is the song they played, by JayZ or whoever that rapper is. “I got 99 problems, but a bitch ain’t one.” And then brushed his shoulder off AND flipped Hillary Clinton off. Not just “some” other competitor – but the former First Lady of the United States. If that man will do that to the most successful Democratic team in the past 40 years, how will he and his “lovely” wife behave when the whole world gets on their case?
Barack Obama is not Presidential material in my opinion. (Did I mention him slapping Michelle on her butt?) Classy… what role models they are for the youth of the country.
Say NO to THE RADICAL ONE! NObama – NEVER!
McCain ‘08
Hey dee4hill,
did the obama camp play that song at one of his rallys? do you know when?
I’d love to know. Most folks that I know would not cotton to that at all.
It’s all over the internet. Here’s mention of it on Taylor Marsh’s website.
http://www.taylormarsh.com/archives_view.php?id=26824
Stay classy, Obama!
I sent this one to Donna “Stop the Hate” Brazile nut.
The obama’s are ghetto.
uncalled for.
McCain is being smart. He’s actually campaigning. Obama is, however, pretending he’s already won.
That’s a turn-off.
I guess you don’t read the papers.
Get off the Anti Obama websites for a day and see whats going on. He’s pulling independents from McCain, and has more support from women than Kerry and Gore had and the General campaign has just started. His Latino vote is stronger than tho other two also.
McCain is stumbling along and waiting for Big Business to bail him out but they ain’t biting. They know a bad investment when they see one.
Links please? And do get them from reputable sources not Obama’s web site.
Really? Latest polls show he’s dropped 3 points just this week.
Can’t wait to see the mass suicide of the MOO-vement when they can’t deny any more.
Are you kidding. If Obama ever had a bright idea it would be beginner’s luck.
He splits independents with McCain.
Right down the middle
It’s all over the news — they each get 47% of independents, the rest are undecided.
Try to keep up, sweetie.
If that’s true then why are you here looking for voters to hop the BO bus. we do not believe it. The polls are bought and paid for.
PS The general election has not started. Are you from the middle east?
he’s polling even with mccain, and that’s not good at all. and he’s still weak in key swing states. lots of undecideds, and there shouldn’t be. November is going to be a pill.
There is a lot we can speculate about. Here is my OPINION: The DNC is not, repeat, not, interested in winning this election. If the Democratic Party wins the White House, it will just be icing on the cake. Dean and other “Tops” are interested in Party Building, which includes fresh blood and fresh bread ($$$).
Baby Boomers, who make up a HUGE number in the Party, are headed out the door, so to speak. This is the DNC’s chance to win younger people. Obama does that for them. Thus, the “Rock Concert” feel to what are supposed to be political rallies…politotainment, if you will. It is laying a whole new foundation for the Party (one I am not comfortable with, but so what?). This new foundation is the future of the Democratic Party, folks. So, get used to it.
Obama is starting a 50 state strategy. Whose idea is that, you think? The fact that he is going into red states is groundwork for the future. It may not get votes, but it will get a younger Republican crowd thinking about following Obama, even if he is a Democrat. They are after new members and new $$$ in the red states. Cults are a powerful thing! LOL
That is why Dean and the rest of the Party is ignoring the Backbone. 2008 votes are NOT important. Quite frankly, the fact that many Dems. are going to vote McCain or abstain, is of no consequence to the Party. The regular Democrats keep basing their arguments on old beliefs, the same premise…winning the election. You will not win the argument. That is not where the new Democrats are going. It is not about winning elections anymore. Power and Money. That is all there is now.
One problem:
Baby Boomers outnumber those “new voters.”
Baby Boomers also have more money than those “new numbers.”
And Baby boomers are going for Obama.
Are you following the polls?
Unfortunately Hillary is gone but that’s the reality.
Obama’s money is coming from baby boomers in small donations not from lobbyists like MCain’s whole operation. Will he fight for you? I don’t think so.
Obama’s Money is coming from the middle east, bundled as sub 200 dollar donations by lobbyist bundlers.
Baby Boomers my ass.
Please provide proof liar.
Don`t listen to this Troll. He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don’t let that fool you. He really is an idiot.
You’ve got that right. “BO is doing okay in the polls, will win baby boomer votes”.
Tim is not only drinking the kool-aid, but he’s taking it with meth and crack mixed in.
Tim has no idea that senior citizens will NOT vote for Obama.
And senior citizens are the most reliable voters of them all, well studied on issues and clearly understanding why a President with a very thin resume is not a wise choice.
Women are 52% of the Democratic Party.
AA’s are only 12%.
But if you think you can win, Tim, by alienating all the dependable Dems and pumping up all the undependables, then you give your best shot.
See ya in November.
You are correct sir . I believe this too..the baby boomers are having trouble filling up their suvs and heating there McMansions around here. And their cards are maxed out….baby boomers my ass
lololol
We boomers will never go en masse for this ridiculous excuse of a candidate.
Too late, they are already.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/
Ouch, those numbers are anemic. Both Kerry and Gore were in the double digits right after they sewed up their nominations and we know how that ended…now just wait until the Average American voter gets aload of the Rev. Wright, Fr. Pfleger, Michelle (For the first time, I’m proud of my country) hit parade, 24/7.
Don’t forget President Dukakis and his 17 point lead over Bush I.
yeah we know how accurate these polls are don’t we.
The repubs haven’t even started on OB because they are afraid that Hillary would take the nom. After the convention, IF he is the nominee, they go nuclear – nothing made up. They could use his own gaffes, the lay in with his infamous associates. BO is their best opposition researcher.
yes, site reputable sources because this is a crock. you hear what you want to hear, nothing more.
Bullshit, that one has already been debunked over and over again. They’re called bundlers down Chicago way, but they’re called lobbyists everywhere else. He’s a slimy one that barky. Think Exelon and General Dynamics, Crown Family.
Repeat: He dropped 3 points just this week.
He’s losing NC, NV, AZ, MI, FL, PA. He’s tied in NM. Barely ahead by a hair in CO. He’s tied in OH. He’s only ahead by 7 points in CA!
He’s ahead in NY? You hanging your hat on that state?
He’s not even impressive in WI.
He says he’s going to win Virginia, too.
Not a snowball’s chance in hell.
Big military, Navy state. Perfect for McCain.
He lost 3% in one week.
Again. Polls are bought and paid for by Obama Campaign
I thought it was a 57 state strategy.
Phoenix — I agree with you in principle however, why throw the boomers over, along with women and Hispanics who make up a huge voting block? Can’t you build a party without tearing it apart?
Hillary would have gotten more states which are reliably Republican than Obama could ever bring in for the Democrats. Also, Boomers vote and have a few elections left in them. This is more of Howard Dean’s effort to make over the Democratic Party and it will be as successful as his 50 state strategy which has left it bankrupt. He has given the DNC to Obama’s Campaign which will in effect give Obama the power over the party for years to come–thereby marginalizing it in future elections. Young people don’t have party loyalty and Obama is just a new face. So Howard Benedict Arnold Dean has destroyed the Democratic Party on a whim.
I’m a democrat boomer (we say democrat in new england) and I have about 10 more elections to participate in. Let’s see where the party goes now.
What frosts me the most is the oft-repeated Donna Brazile line:
“Of course Hillary supporters will vote for Obama, where else can they go?”
To me it just reeks of the rationalizations of abusive husbands who know they can still grind their wives into the ground because: “Where else can they go?”
Add Brazile’s “We don’t need the blue-collar vote to win,” and you get an even clearer picture of the subtext of their arrogance which reinforces the abusive husband sentiment.
“I don’t need you, you need me. Where else can you go?”
This is there message to Hillary supporters?
Brazile, like many pro-Obama surrogates, is incredibly TONE DEAF to Hillary supporters.
She and others, including Obama, are so drunk on their illusion of power, they are striking the wrong chords over and over.
At this point the effect of the “Hope & Change” blather has expired as a message.
Those who fell for it – well – already fell for it. That market is saturated, it has “crested” and (for those who understand marketing) it could now begin to ERODE if the Obama camp is not careful with it’s messaging.
To capture the remaining Democrats who did not buy the “Hope & Change” themeline they have to offer something substantive.
Offering: ‘Hillary asked you to support Obama,’ will only work with a small percentage.
The rest of us, many in the majority on No Quarter, are going to be harder to move. Yet, even in this subset there may be fence-sitters still waiting for a reason to go for Obama because they don;t want to vote for the GOP.
And what does the TONE DEAF Obama camp offer this week:
- Comments about bringing a gun to a knife fight creating congnative dissonance vis-vis the Hope & Change message.
- The decision to move the DNC to Chicago creating suspicion about his motives.
- Refusing town hall meetings with McCain.
- A flat out rejection of Hillary as VP.
- Flip flops on his remarks about Jerusalem in less than 24 hours.
All of which does little to raise the comfort level of independents and democrats still sitting on the fence about Obama.
In truth their recent comments and actions are having the opposite effect causing BO’s “poll bounce” to disappear in less than a week.
To me, it’s actually funny to watch.
In this crucial, post-primary moment Obama & Company are dropping the ball and too arrogant to see they’re fumbling.
The GOP is launching stage one of their strategy to attract Hillary supporters and the BO camp appears oblivious.
I guess they still beleive Brazile’s rationale: “Where else can they go?”
Someone should mention to Brazil, we have many options, including staying home in November.
BO and company can knock themselves out registering new voters (who are unreliable on election day) and at the same time leak larger numbers of Democrats from the base, resulting in net zero.
As the old saying goes, never get in the way when you opponent is destroying himself.
I have a hunch that’s why Hillary and Bill have disappeared from public view and I hope they remain off camera until the Denver Convention.
We their supporters will do the heavy lifting until then.
Oh I won’t be staying at home. And I WON’T be voting for obama.
Staying home is EXACTLY what they are counting on. Apathy plays right into their hands. I am going to be right there on election day to cast my first ever Republican vote. You watch me!
Susan,
I paraphrased this to both Donna and Howard.
I said we’re not feeling the love!!!!
It’s funny that more people aren’t saying that Hillary asked us to support Obama. Is it because they know Hillary was forced to say that? obama is not even the nominee. He is the presumed nominee. Big difference.
No one wants him. Just his middle eastern and canadian bloggers wnat him. He likes to skew perception as we all know. His AA double voting screwed this election up.
Don’t let the extremists convince you that everyboy they are against is a monster and a satan.
That’s how they get your votes.
If Hillary was a monster she would have been in prison not the senate.
If America is a great Satan the rest of the world would have crusaded against us by now.
Seriously, any reasonable thinking intelligent person realizes that these divisive tactics are designed to inflame and bait your hate and fear.
Frankly McCain is a war Hero and a man who has dedicated his life to serving the nation, has gone against his party for the good of the country and is one of the most moverate republicans in the senate.
Compare that to the shuckster from chicago.
You would be insane to vote Obama over McCain.
Yes they will call yo a racist if you don’t vote Obama.
Yes they will use Roe V Wade to scare you with the boogey man that someone else will control your vagina.
Yes they will use ageism just like they used sexism to denigrate their oponent.
But really in the end they cant do a damn thing about what you do in the voting booth and that scares the shit out of them.
Why?
Because they know they are going to lose.
Their phney campaign of unity turned out to be a cmpaign of Divide Denigrate and DIsenfranchize.
Only now they are beginning to see what damage they did and they know they are ROYALLY F*CKED!
Go ahead, try to win the general with a limited coalition of Koolaid Drinkers, African Americans and Elitists. Lets see how many states you lose.
Its Over Folks.
Obama Lost!
It may be 5 months away still but the writing is on the wall.
In the voting booth their fearmongering and hatemongering and racebaiting wont be able to control whick lever you flip.
Only you can do that and when you are alone in there you will know whats the best for your country.
Its a shame this thief, this inexperienced bafoon, this shyster, this snake oil salesman has set back race relations and woimens rights so many years, but he wont be rewarded with the presidency for that.
Not as long as there are enough patriotic americans who are willing to use their own minds and trust their own judgement instead of buying the Obullshit about his lack of judgement masquarading as judgement you can believe in.
Its time to put the Fairytale away.
God Bless you
you are speaking the truth loud and clear.
There’s no way in hell I’ll vote to double the tax on cap gains, dividends & interest. I’d like to see Obama buy & renovate some junky old house & then see if he still thinks it’s “leisure income”. Maybe he ought to try runnin some blue collar business for 30 yrs & then sell it to pay for retirement & give 28% to Uncle Sam. He & his brokers have had some real luck in the futures market parlaying $1,000 into $100,000. People who trade on line without a broker can’t even play the futures market! He must want the little fish outta the market. He claims he’ll nullify the entire federal income tax for people over age 50 making $50,000 or less, (WHY? so he can later tax their savings?) but plenty of senior retirees rely on interest income from CDs to subsidize SS, pay med gap insurance, utilities, etc (maybe he’d rather they all go on the combo dole of medicare/medicaid & cost the tax payers more.) He’ll screw them into poverty to punish them for saving, interest income has already been cut in half. NAW! NAW! NAW! He needs to keep the current tax rates the same on the first 25K to 50K or admit what he’s doin’. BTW where is Austan Goolsbee?
I’m not going to vote for Obama. NOTHING could convince me after witnessing how he and his surrogates treated Hillary. I remain steadfast in my vow to send the DNC and the press my tiny rebuke by refusing to vote for the guy on whose behalf they lynched Hillary, hijacked the nomination, and rolled out the full battalion of sexist hate speech for.
But beyond that, Obama is arrogant (as ignorant and unqualified people often are), two-faced, secretive and dangerously uninformed.
My dilemma is simply that I really dislike McCain’s stance on several issues. I’m still hoping to write Hillary’s name in – because I think that is more powerful than simply not voting – but if I have to, I will vote for McCain.
If we had a united PUMA front, I think that we could indeed send a powerful message. But right now PUMAs are considering different strategies. It will be interesting to see how the dialogue develops between now and November.
For my diehard Hillary supporting brothers & sisters, I ask you to keep the faith.
All things are possible.
I personally focus on two images:
- Hillary Clinton declared the official DNC candidate at the DNC Convention.
- Hillary Clinton taking the oath of the presidential office.
I let those two images drive all my efforts.
Take a moment each day to visualize these images and repeat to yourself: all things are possible.
Let’s make it an experiment in the power of positive thinking.
I love your attitude, Susan. After all Hillary went through, she couldn’t have won over 18 million people without a positive attitude.
She can still win.
Miracles do happen. We just have to believe in them!
Susan, I still have a cut out of Hillary on my wall and everyday I picture her with one hand on the Bible the other held up, with Roberts swearing her in and then there’s Bill with the biggest, shit eatin’ grin on his sweet face standing between them. It’s vivid as hell. Don’t know why.
db & Starwberry.
That’s the way to do it.
It’s not over. Not until the convention.
I believe you would do better at removing Dean. Otherwise this is just a dream.
Obama to give full votes to Michigan, Florida delegates
http://countusout.wordpress.com/2008/06/15/obama-to-give-full-votes-to-michigan-florida-delegates/
Now that that they want allow Hillary to have a 1 call vote
so they are now obama’s to give?
well buy the time they get to the august convention Obama will have recieved 93% of the michigan and Florida votes thanks to replacing delegates with his supporters so why not give them full votes?
Oh. how convenient and generous of the Almighty Obama to give Michigan and Florida delegates their full vote AFTER the Dem. convention. Just another way of how he and his cronies have manipulated this entire election. he must now realize that he will need their FULL vote to win the general election. They couldn’t have them when it might of benefited Hillary. But he probably didn’t know what was happening, He is probably DENOUNCING everyone who voted to only seat a half a vote. Then the stupid bitter voters will fall right in line to get on the Obama bus.
aahill — course Obama will do it now because he has the nomination. He makes me sick.
BO does not have the nomination. They are just saying that. He is the presumed nominee. Let’s keep the facts straight.
I doubt that they care at this point. It’s just a disaster.
Yes, it was all part of the plan, to do this AFTER they managed the RBC meeting, thereby eliminating Hillary.
But it won’ t help them in November.
Michigan and Florida are LOST to the Democrats.
Someone has hacked the AOL straw poll to reverse the vote totals! Typical Obamaton BS…can’t even win a straw poll without trying to rig it! *LOL* You guys are truly a joke.
Those you see following the Obamessiah are not Democrats, though the species may try to look similar. They are in fact nothing but JACKASSES!
P.U.M.A.
heh AOL fixed it rather quickly…I just hope they report the moron who did it.
Those you see following the Obamessiah are not Democrats, though the species may try to look similar. They are in fact nothing but JACKASSES!
P.U.M.A.
Not so much obama, but the actions of the Democratic leadership leave me cold. What the DNC has done, and does, Pelosi ignoring impeachment, absolving the telecoms, all these things have driven me from the party. I’ll never vote for McInane, but neither will I vote for obama. Looks like the die is cast, no reason even to watch anymore, except maybe to No Quarter, where one can find details of the potential end of obama.
THANK YOU! AN HONEST PERSON WHO IS NOT MAKING THE SCREW UP OF THE DNC OBAMA’S FAULT! BLESS YOU!
troll.
Obama controls the DNC with his in the pocket surrogate god daddy Screamin Dean the Disenfranchisement Machine.
Soros owns arrogant dean. The chain of command for all those thugs is Soros at the top. He rules the roost.
That is about the point I am to also. I also think Obama’s circle of cohorts is important, as in : you are known by the company you keep.
Nobama lost all possiblity of my vote on May 31, 2008. That is the day he became not only an arrogant, controlling speech-maker-in-a-suit, but also a cheat. He stole the nomination. Obviously, he could not win this nomination outright. Hillary showed him he did not have the popular vote, and with Howard Dean’s and Donna Brazille’s help, he and his stole this nomination.
How can anybody in their right mind vote for him after that day? This in addition, in order to vote for him, we would have to overlook his gross lack of experience, his juvenile judgment and silly opinions, and his shady associates. We lived through the Fidel Castro era and the neocons. Why would we be stupid to do it again?
Sorry to tell you Hillary is not clean as the driven snow. Hsu and Resko also knew Hillary.
It’s a delegate race not a popular vote race. She miscalculated and she lost. the DNC screwed up the primary but it wouldn’t have made a difference because she thought she’d have it clinched by super tuesday. That is what here people will admit so stop blaming obama.
If you juggle the numbers enough like Hillary’s team did then you can make an argument that he got more than 18 million votes also.
Let it go.
Caucus Obama Supporters went from state to state and voted multiple times…documented.
Dead People Vote for Obama…documented.
Michigan mail in voters All voted for Obama because obama supporters counted them that way without ever openeing one single envelope…documented
And you are a troll…documented
YES> Busloads of college kids from Illinois bused in to Iowa to affect that caucus.
Documented.
Tim in Tempe.
Thanks so much for your attempt at misinformation.
Although it fails to prop up Obama, it amuses me.
Rezko is Obama’s personal bagman.
Rezko will be rolling on Obama shortly.
Have a nice day, sweetie.
I hope you talk more clearly than you type.
Didn’r Hsu give to Obama too? Oh and by the by, there are no caucuses to rig in the GE.
Rezko did not know Hillary. You’re misinformed.
Excuse me Tim in Tempe. How stupid can you get?
Hillary won FL & MI fair and square. She did not cheat like Obama. She won. If they didn’t do their little dance about not acknowledging it, the primary would have been over right then and there with her as the nominee. GET IT?
Full seating of FL and MI wouldn’t have changed the outcome. Obama still would have had the majority of pledged delegates and that’s what the supers cared about.
Yeah right, which is why he blew off 2 major states to make SURE they couldn’t vote. He didn’t really need those delegates he stole.
Yeah, right.
So you’re saying Obama was being petty.
The popular vote would have changed if the DNC had counted all the votes in Michigan and Florida.
Wrong. You math stinks
Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Geo Soros & a bunch of Wall Street tycoons are NOT your typical investors. Your typical investor has 20K to 100,000K in the market & has recently been bleeding alot of money. If charieties think donations are down now just wait & see what happens to donations if Obama’s tax hikes kick in on investment income. But he doesn’t care cause it’s not about fillin’ the government coffers it’s about “fairness”. NAW! NAW! NAW!
No Bama No Bama
no no no
No Bama No Bama.
I am voting against Hussein Obama and his circle of friends/cohorts/accomplices.
I am a life-long Democrat and will never vote for Obama because of his race-baiting,divisiveness, lack of experience and lack of judgement. I will vote for McCain as a way of voting againsit Obama.
Heard Eleanor Clift on McGlaughlin last night say that Hillary supporters are going through the stages of grief and that we will all come back and support Obama by November. This theory explains why Dean, Pelosi, Brazille, and Obama have done nothing to reach out to disaffected Democrats. They think we are going through a phase and will return by November. Are they in for a rude awakening.
They have thrown away the core of the Democratic Party and I know won’t be back any time soon.
I will be back NEVER>
I am now happily and Independent, and will stay so until the day I die.
Send a timely personal thanks to Hillary and link to Nobama Action List.
http://unityindiversity-spiritedpolitics.blogspot.com
I am an educated and independent woman. I want to vote for John McCain but he hasn’t earned my vote yet. This is not the 1700s and I will not sacrifice my personal freedom so that religious zealots can be appeased. It will be heartbreaking for me if I have to sit out an election, because there is not a party that comes close to representing my values.
I am not willing to tolerate the teaching of “creationism” in public schools. I want to point out to the McCain campaign that the fastest growing religion in American right now is Islam. How would these same Christians who want to impose their religion on all Americans feel if other groups asked for similar accommodations? Our constitution upholds the principle of separation of church and state for good reason.
John McCain has an opportunity to redesign the Republican party for a modern, era and the issue of gender equality may be pivotal to its survival. If the Republican party takes a moderate position it might happen that many of the women who have left the marx/dem party for this election as a protest against Obama, might find a new home. I suggest that John Mcain also reach out to the young women in his party and ask and how they feel about these issues. He might be surprised to learn that his, is a party in exodus.
PUMA!
lynn — then vote for Obama he will tell you anything you want to hear. Then he will laugh at you. I don’t give a chit about reproductive rights. We have enormous problems in this country and an arrogant amateur cannot fix them.
I want to see Obama buy some junky old house, spernd 6months to a yr rennovating it himself & then try to sell it in this lousey market & then tell me it’s “leisure income.” NAW! NAW! NAW!
Thanks for the heads up. I’m rennovating my house, thinking that if I had to dump it we’d come out ahead….shit.
He is Soros’s puppet.Uncle Tombama
Play nice. After all we’re not Obamabots.
He is Soros’s puppet. Uncle Tombama
i have 5.5 months to make up my mind
but one thing certain it won’t be a vote for obama
i am certain there are many more voters just waiting 5.5 more months to make their decision …just like me…..sigh……….:)
no obama ever
Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, George Soros & a bunch of Wall Street tycoons are NOT typical investors. Typical investors have 10K to 100,000K in the market, CDs etc. Seniors need investment income to pay for things like MedGap insurance etc Unless Obama would rather they all become indigent & go on the combo of medicare/Medicaid & cost the tax payers billions more. Oh excuse me I keep forgetting “it’s not about the money, it’s about FAIRNESS” NAW! NAW! NAW!
Hey Tim in Tempe, where are your fellow Obamamites. You seem to be all alone here. Are all the experienced pilots resting, are were they all shot down and they sent you instead?
Obama is getting weaker everyday. His support is a fabrication.
He orchestrated support and adoration by using money and intimidation and the whoring press.
But the power of internet neutralizes the The Precious. Time is on our side. Information is power.
Distribution of information is even more powerful.
Obama is toast and I he knows it.
It will be Breakfast in America.
The wafflers will wake up and smell the coffee, Obama will be toast, and the egg will be on the faces of all the sleepy talking heads.
StrawberrybitesBarky, if you live in the house as your primary residence you’ll probably be ok. But if it’s investment property Obama wants 28% of the action. ChicagoRealtor, thanks for the tip but one winter in Chicago & I’d die from the cold. The point I was trying to make is not all cap gains income is passive, some of it is very labor intensive. Selling a business under Obama’s tax plan will be a hose job too.
“We need to win back the White House”.
Funny thing, in the last 40 years, there were only two Dem Presidents and President Clinton won 2 out of the 3 terms. No, it’s not “we” – the DNC has always put its weakest candidate out – it’s the people of the United States who want to put the strongest candidate in the WH. That candidate is Hillary Clinton. Even with her not in the race, the strongest candidate is not Obama, and never will be Obama. No amount of posturing and disinformation will change those facts and reality. The guy is just incompetent, a flip-flopper, an affirmative action candidate that has already started his “big brother is watching” campaign. First order of business – eliminate your opponents, by any means. No one can criticize Obama, certainly a police state in the making.
owl06 – If nothing else, McCain is deserving of respect, even if he doesn’t support all your policies, whatever they may be. I for one will be giving McCain a serious look-over, especially if he picks a moderate Republican as running mate. Also, before you throw Roe vs Wade around, there are other matters on the plate. If Roe vs Wade has survived 35 years, it’s not going get over turned. And there are always the states: I very much doubt that California, New York and Massachusetts are going to abandon abortion rights.
FYI: it’s “resting on one’s laurels”, not “in one’s laurels”.
CA and NY won’t ban abortion. However, about 30 states will. Others will partially ban it and will have huge fights about banning it.
Roe has only stood this long because the Court was pretty favorable. Once O’Connor left it has been hanging on by a threat. Just look at the 5-4 this week. If any of those 5 go and are replaced by McCain, that’s the end of Roe.
Roe v. Wade will never be overturned. Article XIV of the Constitution.
Ever heard of the morning after pill, “Democrat”?
Any birth control pill works the same, in high enough doses.
We don’t need stinkin’ Roe no more, nor coat hangers. Welcome to the new millennium, moron!
WHO CARES !!! SO WHAT!!!!! WE HAVE MUCH BIGGER PROBLEMS TODAY. GET OVER ROE… USE BIRTH CONTROL OR SELF CONTROL…Like the olden days..NOBAMA.
Isn’t it pathetic that the only argument FOR Obama is a threat of overturning abortion rights?
I find that humorous.
So what. Roe v Wade is just as much in jeopardy with Obama. He doesn’t think women have the right to vote. Do you seriously think he gives a sh^t about R v W??
He has a long list of “present” and difficult vote avoidance. I’m hardly confident after his treatment of women in the primaries.
Also, conservative justices have a much better record on property and gun rights. These are just as important to me as abortion. Besides which, abortion’s just not my problem anymore. I’m one of those bitter old white women you don’t have any respect for, see?
I’ve heard a lot of moronic talk from trolls like you about Roe v Wade. It’s either that or talk about how a vote for McCain is a revenge vote and I’m just sooooo bad if I vote McCain.
Well guess what, sparky? I think revenge is a fine reason for voting against Obama. I don’t need it, but if Obama and McCain were otherwise identical, it would certainly be enough.
Payback’s a Bitch. Have a nice day!!!!
I actaully was one of the people on the conference call with mccain yesterday. I am a hillary supporter WHO WILL UNDER NO NO CIRCUMSTANCE VOTE FOR THAT FRAUD.
I have never ever voted republican, but I was sort of leaning towards mccain. What I heard from Mccain yesterday was pure honesty. I am left of center liberal, and mccain I have found to be a right of center repubs. I can live with that.
During the call, he was asked about roe/wade, stem cell research, the iraq war, healthcare, judges.
I have to say, I disagreed with him on a few points, BUT what amazed me is he knew he disagreed with me on those points but he was willing to meet me half way.
I can live with that!!!
So, if hill is not the nom in august, I will be able to a vote and support mccain. I cannot vote for an incompetent novice like that fraud.
country before party…
Interesting…
Thanks for sharing Tim!
So cool.
Obama lost my vote long ago. I won’t be fooled by anything he says at this point to try and get it.
Obama with help from his broker has really cleaned up in the futures markets…parlayed $1000 into $100,000 in a series of 4 or 5 trades. Small on line investors, who don’t get broker advice, aren’t even allowed to play in the futures market. And it’s next to impossible to get a real (not quanatative) brokerage account for less than 150,000 to 200,000K It’s all about “fairness” isn’t it? I’m startin’ to like this NAW! NAW! NAW! rant. I want to know why is Wall Street giving so generously to Obama? I think it’s cause business is tired of paying for health care & want to shuff off the cost of employees’ health onto the gov. Who knows? maybe they just want the little fish outta the market. Currently Freddie & Fannie are on the line for close to 80% of subprime & ARMs, maybe he can stick the taxpayers with 100% of foreclosures too. All of Obama’s 60 Billion in new programs are based on 5% interest, guess he’s betting Bernake/Paulson will have to double the rate between now & January to take pressure off the energy markets & sacrifice housing. It’s all so crazy. Why am I always the only one freaking out about Obama’s tax proposals? You people must all have big bucks & steady secure incomes.
I think his tax plan stinks.
What are you talkin about? Nobody here is for Obummer.
I was watching Janet Napolitano on Wolf Blitzer’s Late Edition this morning. Wolf asked her what the Obama campaign was going to do to win over disaffected women voters. She answered that women should look at McCain’s policies and realize that his interests do not reflect theirs and therefore should not vote for him.
Typical! She is asked what the Obama campaign is going to do and she answers by telling Hillary supporters what they should do.
I will not even consider voting for Obama unless he addresses sex discrimination in the United States and specifically sexism in the Democratic primary.
Would that kill him?
They are relying entirely upon Roe vs. Wade. Unbelievable.
I used to say that the 40% defection rate would come down. I don’t know now. Could end up being higher! LOL*
What would that accomplish?
And I don’t think neutralizing HRC was sex discrimination. It was power politics. Kingmakers want biddable candidates.
There are two kinds of Democrats on this site. Real, hardcore, generational, dems who put country before party on national ticket and vote dem down the line for state and local. Then there is the new
democrats I call them Democrat In Name Only. DINOs have no idea what the real roots of the dem party are.
We are multi-generational, multi-education level, multi-cultural, and we know what it is to have to fight for something, anything in this world. We will fight for our party…if that means a resounding defeat of Obama…then so be it
DINOs know nothing of loyalty, courage, strenth, resilience, all the things we saw in our Hillary, and we also see in McCain.
DINOs are notoriously easily distracted…hence the bright shiny sun in their logo…ooohhh its pretty….and they are off chasing a neon rainbow…
Has susanunpc gone over or is going to go over to the Obama campaign and is she trying to convince those of us who have never supported Obama because of his relationships and trust issues to vote for him because he’s the Democratic Nominee? I didn’t think so – But I had to ask!
The next time someone talks with McCain I hope they ask him how he plans on paying off all the Iraq war debt since he was on board with Bush, remember the war was going to pay for itself with oil revenue & instead we’re payin twice as much at the pump, in debt up to our eye balls & the UN & Wolfowitz’s World Bank has declared we can’t use Iraqi oil money for “compensation” or reconstruction. The MSM doesn’t seem to think this is very important. Oh Nom Nom Nom, like you I place alot of value on 2nd amendment & 5th amendment property rights. BTW how is it Wolfowitz’s World Bank now wants to stick us with ALL the war debt? Somehow I sense we’re being played.
Sock puppet Obama believes he has consolidated enough power over the DNC that he doesn’t need women. I hope Dean enjoys his new digs in Chicago, joins TUCC and has a good time hating whites and America. Obama will have lock step support from everyone dependent on him for money. The only way to defeat Obama’s Marxist coup is to vote straight ticket Republican.
Teach the DNC a lesson that women will not reward cheating. The DNC cannot steal the election for Obama, abuse Hillary and expect we will be good little girls and get over it. Not on your life! DO NOT TAKE THE WOMEN’S VOTE FOR GRANTED.
Does anyone have news about Dean’s refusal to let Hillary have her name on the Convention ballot? I was out raged the RBC stole 4 votes from her. Now this…cheating Hillary AGAIN! The DNC is clueless if they think this is a path to party unity. They are no better than Bolsheviks. The Democratic Party no longer represents democratic values of fairness and inclusion. I am more determined than ever to make sure that the Marxist cancer growing in the belly of the DNC is absolutely destroyed. PUMA!
Is this a rightwing parody site? You people can’t be for real.
It is clear Obama is not what he purports to be or what his cultists believe him to be. People have differing versions of what they think he might be, but are agreed they want none of whatever that is.
Does that help, sweetie?
“It is clear Obama is not what he purports to be or what his cultists believe him to be. People have differing versions of what they think he might be, but are agreed they want none of whatever that is.”
WAKE UP! Smell the coffee! That’s exactly what they want you to think. The purported versions are not different, and they can’t agree about whatever it is that they believe- and by whom! Get it?
Hillary did what she had to do and strongly endorsed Obama. I would have been appalled by her political naivety had she done otherwise. Now I and other loyal Hillary supporters must do what we have to do; namely reject her advice, work against Obama and for John McCain.
That is the paradox. It is also the realpolitik.
This is about more than just Hillary’s base within the party – it is about the vital national interest.
I will try to simplify matters:
Suppose a completely off-the-wall Phelps-type character, who had an even more extreme wife, managed trough a combo of spellbinding oratory and the ability to disguise his true colours to swing the Republican nomination.
In that scenario I would hope that there would be patriotic, sober Republicans with enough gumption to put national before party interest, forswear the habits of a lifetime and vote Democrat.
Hillary simply did what she had to do in calling for support for Obama and I respect where she is coming from. That said you could almost see a balloon over her head during the speech containing the words ‘like f**k’!
On listening to her endorsement I was reminded of words from a Gordon Lightfoot song:
‘If I could read your mind love,
what a tale your thoughts would tell’
But I and other patriotic Clinton supporters must now do what we have to do.
Mention has been made of an ostensible policy overlap between Clinton and Obama. It simply has to realised that Obama’s policy agenda/worldview/platform is……..Obama. The rest is just window dressing.
There are also other yardsticks relevant to an individual’s suitability for the presidency – experience, integrity, moral courage, etc. In all of these he slips badly. For reasons that are patently obvious for anyone who has not been living in a cave these last four months an Obama presidency would represent a security risk to the US as well as retrospective validation of Dean/Pelosi/Brazile’s Tammany Hall politics. If they get away with this one then it’s going to get worse and worse and the term ‘Democratic Party’ will become an oxymoron.
*Thank God* we have a second chance of stopping Obama and the DNC cabal in their tracks and that is to grit our teeth and vote for JM in November. This is the *only* option – matters are far too serious for half-measures like staying at home or voting 3rd party. OK, there is a lot about him that I don’t like but I frankly see no alternative. Better the devil who spent five years rotting in a POW camp in the service of his country to the devil who spent 20 years in a pew listening to a USA-hating demagogue.
I disagree- voting for a third party is better than voting for McCain the flip-flopper. He’s changed postions so often that I honestly don’t know what we could expect if he makes it into office. Bob Barr, a TRUE Reaganite, is the only logical choice.

Why waste your vote on a candidate who will not win, or even finish second, in a single state? It’s McCain, Obama, or waste your vote.
If Obama wins the presidential election come this fall, Obama will not only be the first black African American but also the first black African Muslim to be the president of USA.
Very soon USA will be like Kenya, Zimbabwe or Sudan.
way inappropriate and wrong on so many levels.
…..and if McCain wins this fall he will be the the first Panamian drug lord to be president of the USA. McCain WAS born in Panama. If you have any doubts about his drug connections, do a little checking into Cindy’s past.
Owl06 , Thanks for your article. While respect what you had to say and agree that Obama is taking way to much for granted.
I dought very much Obama even gets close the motel 1600.
While I did vote for McCain in the 2000 primaries (against Bush) I was blown away at the disrespectfully treatment Bush heaped on McCain.
I cannot see any difference in how BO is running the DUNC train wreck, between him and Bush. If you did not know any better you would not be able to tell how much real damage BO has done in so many ways.
The damage cannot be undone. McCain was not who I would have voted for but BO has made that choice for me. Not a pretty thing but taking about guns and knives in the context of running for POTUS is beyond stupid judgment. It is a glaring example of indifference.
I can’t vote for that, regardless of qualifications.
For Democrats who are reluctant to vote for McCain instead of Obama, check out Stuart Rothenberg’s article
“Why a McCain Win May Be Bad for GOP, Good for Democrats”. (It’s at Real Clear Politics.com or just google the title.)
It’s a real eye-opener and a possible way to send a message to the DNC and get rid of BO while still keeping the progressive philosophy alive.
it is early yet. Both of these candidates have plenty of time to mess up. Pop some popcorn. Relax. Help Hillary Clinton pay off her debt.
I am waiting for the story about the debates. The story is how Obama is trying to run from those too. He can’t win an election by running away. He has to be able to do town hall meeting and roll with the topics and the punches.
It’s simple. The ONLY way to stop the fraud…the fraud that is Obama and the fraud that the DNC has become…is to vote for McCain.
You’re wrong. There is another way- and that’s to vote for Bob Barr. It’s still early enough to get a grass roots movement going. Barr can definitely get the Conservative votes (McCain is NOT a true conservative). Barr will easily win over all those Evangelical voters that McCain has insulted. Barr’s policies and values can/will appeal to those hard-working under-educated white voters that are so attracted to Hillary. Why would anyone want to vote for McCain. He changes positions every other week (a sign of senility?). Like most of you, I don’t want Obama either. But I also don’t want some old geezer that smells like Ben-gay, wears Depends, and makes smacking noises with his gums as my president.
Ageism at its ugliest here. Moron.
Sounds like I’ve touched a nerve, Uhura (btw, what have you been up since Star Trek?)
Senator McCain is activly recruiting Hillary Clinton supporters and Obama is paying trolls to blog for him but because he is an asshole who allows what he thinks are thugs to call people names. Its funny I am a black person and I am pretty good at telling who is black by the words used. The Racists who are White and who are racists against blacks would be the troll they come in here with names such as brutha and they call people c**t when you see that word then please know the person is not black people because I do not care about the class you are in All black people are tought that word is disquesting. I wonder if their Master thinks that he should win if he scares white women in the mean time he is pissing them off and they are going to whip his ass come this November if we are unsucessful at taking the nomination from the thief. I say send him back to Ill
People who think as Obama does, the narcissistic mess, don’t really SEE people, they see themselves, the screwed up projection of their own identity, all around. They only see their own mind, period, almost as if they’re physically unable to see another, no sensory organs, at all, an anencephalic monster.
It’s quantum, as if they cloak everyone around them with themselves, never seeing through to the truth, and never able to until they’re stripped of their delusions. Others can see them, they can’t see others. It never occurs to them this is the root cause of their problems.
A house built on rock sugar, a little warm water and BOOM!
Sounds more like a critique on the Bush administration.
RADDATZ: Two-third of Americans say it’s [the Iraq war’s] not worth fighting.
CHENEY: So?
RADDATZ So? You don’t care what the American people think?
CHENEY: No.
McCain needs to work harder and be more aggressive in getting voters. Barak O. is a professed “change agent” with no meaty changes.
The DNC is trying and hopefully will not succeed in handing Obama the presidency on an “Affirmative Action Silver Platter”. Voters need to research Obama and be more discriminating in their thinking.
B. Obama is such a flaming liberal, radical, racist, divisivie politician that it is disgusting.
