A vote by delegates is still required, but the DNC is trying to remove Hillary completely from the ballot! C’mon now, don’t lie. Obama “renounced” the Selma statement. When asked about it by the New York Times, Obama clarified that he “meant the whole civil rights movement”, in terms of what he was a product of (i.e. not the Selma march specifically).
And he was the product of the civil rights movement, the son of a black man and white woman, whose marriage was illegal in multiple states.

Where we Clinton supporters erred was in believing that the Democratic Party stood for fair elections. Obama did not win the nomination; he was given the nomination through thuggery at caucuses, the complete trashing of the rules by the RBC, and through the collusion of the media, the DNC, and Obama’s backers.

The real truth is he is not the most qualified candidate the Democratic Party could put forth–not even close.
