A “Call to Arms”
By Soldier4Hillary on June 19, 2008 at 10:45 AM in Delegates, Democratic National Convention, Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton, Media Bias, Obamedia
See my first post, and a video of me (posted again below), speaking to you about my views on the primary, Hillary, and Barack. I serve at Ft. Bragg. My blogs are Hillary United and ANVP.
This is a “Call to Arms,” so to speak. An attempt for my fellow Americans of our proud nation to do the one thing that has never been done before. To look inside your hearts and minds, to dig down deep within your soul, and ask yourself where you want our country to be. Where would you like for our future to go. What do you want your children to have in order to become our next generation of future leaders. What legacy do you want to leave them? How do you want to be remembered? As the person who thought only about themselves, or the one who thought about the welfare of a nation.
This isn’t about an election. This is about survival. This is about the state of our economy, our health care system, national security, and the lives of our loved ones, family and friends. There is no more time for trial and error.
There is no longer any time for motivational speeches and attempts of inspiration to achieve a common goal. This is a about a movement to push our country where it needs to be. So that we may have the opportunity to remember the bad times as only a distant memory and not something we will live to regret daily for the rest of our lives. Sit aside your personal beliefs and think about the ones who look to us to help them. The ones whose voice is unable to be heard. The ones who you may not know about, but are there all the same.
When I seek inspiration and motivation, I turn to my minister; when I look for the solution to our economy, I look to our president.
This is not a popularity contest. This is a fight for change. This is a fight to become part of the solution. I don’t want sugar coated words; I want what the constitution was based on. I want my fellow Americans and soldiers to look inside there hearts and ask themselves if the they want to become part of a movement that will lead this country to a better solution than what they are attempting to give us now.
So we can make history as standing up and making a difference by not being motivated and inspired to want change, but to demand it, to force it, to take it. Because its our right, its our due, and its not a privilege. Its what makes us the country that we are today.
Somewhere out there, there are those who still believe in the fundamental values and beliefs that the Democratic Party was founded on still exist. The Democratic Party is not the problem. It’s those who we elect to represent us. And as we give them these positions to maintain and hold, we also can take them away. We are living in dangerous times when we are able to turn a blind eye to the actions of so many who have crossed the line in attempting to turn a democracy into a dictatorship.
When lives can be destroyed by a simple word or phrase by the MSM. When your elected officials choose to ignore your voice and your vote. When harassment becomes a common theme and such extreme negativity becomes a common occurrence. As we are witnessing these events transpire, the enemies of our nation see these things to. This is a weakness that cannot be ignored, it cannot be swept aside and cannot be hidden, or forgotten.
We did not get here as a nation by empty words and promises. But on the path we are currently on, empty words and promises will be our downfall. Yes, it is time for a new form of politics, new leaders, new goals, new choices and paths. Right now, as of this moment, there are future leaders out there that do not know they exist. That are sitting on the sideline, watching this transfold; they have a burning in their heart for the truth, and pain down to their very soul for justice. Because just as I know, they know, that is is not what our past founders, and leaders and activists would ever want to see, witness, or transpire, when it comes to the state of our nation.
Somewhere out there, there are young men and women who are viewing the MSM and seeing the biased information, who are learning and remembering exactly what true journalism is all about.
These are the ones who need to step forward. These are the future politicians, the people who will take back which has been stolen. That will continue through the door opened by Senator Clinton. These are the ones who will move us into a new form of politics, one in which remembers that truth and justice is the American way.
The ones who remember that you report the news and not your opinion. That money is not always the bottom line. That the voices of the people still count. And that one person equals one vote. And if you talk about the rules, and you follow the rules, then you play by the rules.
And the rules say, this is not over, until we reach Denver.

Denver police are buying 88 crowd-control guns, ammunition and accessories from less-than-lethal weaponry maker Security With Advanced Technology Inc. in advance of the Democratic National Convention in August, the company reported.

I was sort of looking forward to the crapper cannon, since I`m not always regular anymore.
Maybe they come in personal use size.
Have you seen this piece yet from Zach Jones
What Right Is There That Is Greater And More Precious Than The Right Of Freedom Of Expression? None
http://www.australia.to/international/0,25197,23040467-260,00,00.html
Good article, thanks!
I think so..Also it mentions this site and others who are keeping up the good fight.
No Quarter is mentioned there. Zach has good taste.
It is indeed time for a revolution. An overhaul in the leadership of the party I used to be proud of and call my own.
Of primary importance, besides the Barry charade of course, is the imperative to revove Pelosi from her post as Speaker of the House. She has been a complete failure and has shown cowardice instead of leadership. I really can’t even begin to list the other people I’d like to see removed form office in November, because I’d be here for hours and I have work to do!
Beyond that, we need to take back the grass roots level of the democratic party. Volunteer, get involved, and make sure this hijacking of our party NEVER happens again!
That is what the Superdelegates where put in place for…in my opinion…Stopping a movement from taking over the party…but when so many of them are a part of the movement taking over….well we all can see how it worked out. I heard a SD say on television a few months ago that they would not let a movement take over…he was never on again that I ever saw…
Unless you folks can actually punish various office holding Democrats by ending their political careers. All the DNC will do is laugh at you people.
Because politicians only respect two things:
Money and power. If you have the power to shit can a senator or senior congressmen they will listen to you.
What we are seeing take place in this country is a slow motion hostile takeover by the internationalist Marxists in unison with the Chicago machine thugs with the approval of a complicit DNC.
These are grave times people!
It is indeed…
A Call TO ARMS!!
McCain is the FIREWALL against this takeover.
We need to oust Baby Face Obama, Howard ‘the Mug’ Dean, and Nancy ‘Machine gun’ Pelosi.
Make up your mind whether OB is a Marxist or corporatist. They are 2 different schools of thought. It is becoming more and more clear that the OB camp floated the Black Liberation Theology so his supporters would see that he was propped up by corporate backers.
…would Not see that he was…
Your first sentence sums up the entire thing. Perfectly said. Thanks
Wow, this is one angry website. Memo to Hillary Dead-Enders, YOU LOST. Barack won. It’s over. Even Hillary knows it. She’s not fighting it. Obama won twice as many states, a ton more delegates and more votes. Hillary voted for the War, failed on healthcare in 1993, and is a chronic liar (Bosnia-gate). She’s just a poor candidate.
Your hateful comments won’t win you any converts here. Go back to KOS.
If not Hillary, McCain.
Cut and paste blogger.
Help Obama find Michigan:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfeSNNRYIfM
The place he never won!
Very good video
Last I heard Obama had 41% to MCcain 42%. Nadar had 10%.
I haven’t seen Nader that high in any poll. Do you have a source?
I read it on votenadar.org. Look it up for yourself.
The democratic party lost.
They lost their credibility, our votes, and our money.
The spineless ignorant pukes like yourself are now their base. MCCAIN IN 08.
You’re dog gone right We’re angry. Obama supporters come here and threaten us and you think we should just take your shit. You can kiss our ass because we don’t care what you think. You call Hillary a liar for one mistake and Obama lies daily, just today he said that he wouldn’t except public funding after agreeing with McCain to accept it. Why don’t you ass holes wake up! He will destroy our country, he is as corrupt as the day is long.
more change you can xerox!
You cretin…you expect us to follow along blindly in the name of “party unity” when you obamabots are always coming over here spouting off your self-righteous nonsense?
I will NEVER vote for the DaliBama…he’s looking more like the Anti-Christ every single day…
and here in GA, people take that comparison very, very seriously.
Where in Georgia? I live in the NW corner, and I doubt Obama will get 100 votes here.
yea Georgians! I have many relatives in Manchester. Not one will vote Obama.
When I see Barack Obama and I read his fanatics’ comments….I think of Ned Lamont.
Remember him? he ‘won’ the democratic primary too fueled by his millions of dollars and ‘liberal’ bloggers.
How’d that turn out?
http://inewstube.com/inewstube_columnists/obama_jfk_or_mlk_i_say_ned_lamont.html
That would’ve turned out pretty well if Joe Lieberman abided by his promise to support the Democratic nominee.
Why are you defending a neo-con thug like Lieberman? Maybe you should reconsider your party identification.
I never defended Lieberman. I am only pointing out failed strategies that wound up losing Democrats.
Obama supports the Republican idea of charter schools…defunding underfunded public education. Should he consider changing his party identification, or are Democrats allowed to differ in some thoughts?
That is a good reminder of what the presumptive crowd controls. Nothing. Obama loses. Game back in the Republicans court. Because we are so pissed we will vote for straight Republican ticket. And no I don’t see that as a wrong. I see the dnc rbc candidate as wrong for this county.
If not Hillary – then All Republican.
Let’s see, Hillary won 23 states (mostly blue states and swing states). If Obama won twice as many states as Hillary, Obama must have won 46 states. Now if we add 46 and 23 that would give us a total of 69 states.
We all know that according to King Obama that there are only 57 states so please tell me about the other 12 states that King Obama won. Please!
No no no….he went to 57 with one more to go…so there are 58 states…
Oh yes, that’s right! 58 states says the King! Add these to our map – Obamaland, Neverneverland, Changeland, Chicagoland, Hopeland, Goddamnland, Wrightland, Michelleland!
I love the names…I wonder how many electoral votes they will get in the election..
They will get 9 electoral votes each unless the majority of votes are cast for McCain then they will get 4 1/2 electoral votes each minus 4 electoral votes that will go to Obama unless Obama is short 70+ electoral votes at the end of the general election in which case ALL electoral votes will go to Obama plus 4 because the voters actually meant to vote for Obama even though they voted for Nader and Barr.
Dumb question. Since they gave half to the states they didn’t like, the states they Do like have to get double to make up for it.
Sorry, I left out the Obama Override Rule, Blu.
You are correct. I was using yesterday’s rulebook.
Loved this article, well written thank you!
And thanks for the good laugh with obamaland etc. that was great!
They kicked him out of Graceland.
Aren’t those in the Middle Finger area?
Heh
go back to school with Cheney and Rumsfeld who coined the phrase deadenders why doncha?
meanwhile we will work to get McCain elected to foil your evil doingd
I can picture these OBOTS twirling imaginary moustaches
you MUST pay the rent!! (Dodd, Uhhbama, Pritzker, Goolsbee)
-I CANT pay the rent
you MUST pay the rent
-I CANT pay the rent!
I’LL PAY THE RENT!!! (Team Clinton enters with new housing plan and subprime rescue with ARM freeze)
My Heroes!!! (happy Americans see housing values start to go back in the right direction, you know OBOT, up)
About the Bosnia which you guys love to repeat let me say this: She was in Bosnia. The vise president of Bosnia called them and worned them about the snipers near that air port. Now your guy said his uncle liberated a camp during ww2. Not only his uncle wasn’t there, NO AMERICAN was there. Now tell me please who the liar in cheif here.
If Michigan and Florida were given 100% their votes, Hillary’d be the candidate. So Obama did not win “tons more delegates.”
Maybe you should read facts and real information beyond See Spot Run.
Florida and Michigan broke the rules members of her team set. Her own campaign team set and agreed those rules remember. Even The Rethugs punished Florida. Hillary in your crazy theory world only wins if you discounted all of the uncommitteds in Michigan. Those who voted uncommitted went out of their way to vote for anyone but Hillary, so tell me who in your crazy world should get those votes? Get used to it, say President Barack Obama. Sounds much better than President John McCain.
Uhm… Uk… here in the states we prefer it if you …
say IT don’t SPRAY IT!!!!
No. Barakth Obamath does not sound better LOL!
When was the last time you trimmed the corn rows growing out of your ears?
If Michigan and Florida got 100% of their votes Hillary would have still lost.
What happened? Did you get bored preaching to the choir at Huff & PuffPo? We pray daily that Hillary won’t touch this crook’s campaign with a 10 foot pole.
“This isn’t about an election.”
It’s not? ok.
What the trolls need to understand is.. Most feel it comes down to trust, who can they trust to protect this country, their family. We have not had anything happen in America since September 11,2001 and they are thinking about this and feel John McCain is more likely to be the right person to keep anything from happening again. Of course we have no way of knowing this. I think they look at John’s record and know he has stood up to Bush and his own party and now they are standing up and saying they don’t agree with their party on more things then they had realized. Did the party change or is it that the people are changing? Are they paying more attention because of the economy and the war? Who knows? Did the long primary wake people up to what is happening in America? I don’t know but I am glad they are paying attention now, what ever the reason. It is about time, don’t you think?
Hillary maybe not, if not then McCain’08
Good work soldier! Indeed thsi is a call to arms- to protect the very ideals our country was founded on- no more tyranny, no more kings, no more will the few decide in back rooms the fate of many.
Soldier on! I am with you as are millions more!
right on Soldier!!
ready for duty and working to get it done!!
BOOYAH!!!!!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!
Voting for McCain over the Democrat is an angry vote. It goes against Hillary’s wishes. And you’re deluding yourselves if you think McCain is a moderate who cares about your issues. He won’t end the War, he’ll do nothing on healthcare, tax cuts for the rich etc. If Barack is President, he can have Hillary write his health care bill. She would be forever famous and have her name on the first national health care bill ever passed. And I think she wants that. She’s not going to run again. Even Taylor Marsh nows supports Barack.
To change and to change for the better are two different things.
For me it is not about Hillary, it is about our country. I do not trust Obama. I trusted Hillary…I trust McCain…He has proven to me and many others he loves this country…I am putting my country before party..
“Hasn’t the Obama campaign set up a two tier private internet police? The first being the official anti-rumor site and the second being the network of loosely affiliated internet savvy hackers, slanders, intimidators, and common thugs.”

We don’t care what you think Daniel. Don’t come here and try and tell us how to think or pander to us regarding Hillary. Why don’t you ask yourself some serious questions about Obama or do you not think for yourself?
Meeechelle, said she was never before proud of our Country.
Really?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfeSNNRYIfM
In November we will Remember.
No to the Obama Party!
Daniel.
As much as I would like to see tax cuts on the wealthy and Universal Health care, I believe at this moment in time they are not possible. The reason being that we are in a credit/liquidity crisis similar to the days preceding the great depression.
Bernanke has said that having massive government programs at this time could cause interest rates to climb back to 20% during the Carter years.
By doubling the Capital gains tax you are basically causing a stock market collapse.100 million people with investments of only 50k will be effected the most and they use money gained in the market to pay bills.
This economy is on the verge of going into a great depression. Obama’s promises to everyone assures we will do just that.
The most important factor is national security. As much as I don’t like Bush we have not been attacked again since 911 and I give credit where it is do.
McCain wants to protect our vital interests in a dangerous world and I trust him to do what’s right.
I have never cared for Bush myself, One thing I have realized in this election is that most of my dislike for him was fed to me by the media. I didn’t check both sides of the story as I do now. I won’t let the media sway my opinion any more. I do my own research now and think for myself. If they had not tried to push Obama down my throat I might not of caught on to their game. No, I still don’t care much for Bush but as you said …credit where credit is due.
Well said and I couldn’t agree more. If the (liberal) MSM hadn’t propped Obama up and shoved him down our throats, I wouldn’t have caught on either as to how they shape our (liberal) mindset and opinions of Republicans and conservatives in particular. I rarely consume big media news now and triple fact check everything I read on the blogs. I never liked Bush, still do not recognize him as President, but I also can acknowledge the fact that this country has not been attacked since 9/11. Hillary is the President we need; McCain is the next best choice.
Count me in on those sentiments.
Obama has taught me one very important lesson and one I will never forget.
I am not a Democrat! Not as defined by Obama or his bots or the Dem party today.
I am a free woman!!! Yepeeeeeeeeeee!
McCain ‘08 this year because he is the Patriot and I agree with the economic analysis.
Talk to me about 2012. Because this years it is not going to happen for Obama.
And the irony will be that he will have to live by his “delegate count” rule instead of popular vote. No. Wait, he will just change his mind. Hey is Kerry his personal advisor? Because Obama is looking like he is wearing one of John Kerry’s flip-flops this summer.
Wasn’t Universal Healthcare the center of Hillary’s campaign? We don’t want that anymore? I’m confused. Who should I vote for now?
Raoul,
The main thing you need to grasp is we ALL have different opinions about stuff here but we all understand that a greater imperative has made itself known. Regardless of affiliations, we know for certain that Barack Obama and the people who are involved with him are attempting to take over this country. There is malice in their intent, hatred in their hearts, and they will do whatever they can to make their dream a reality. As every good little Marxist knows, the ends justify any means. This danger we all face trumps any other issue. Other issues are as necessary now as choosing what nail polish to wear while be eaten by a shark. Its simple …
Stop Obama
Yes, we are angry…and you know whose fault that is? You, the rest of your obamabot trolls, the MSM, the pundits, nobama himself and the shameless tactics he used to steal this nomination (presumptively of course)…
and let me tell you something…anger can be a mighty force when it is channelled in the right direction…
you folks think we are not thinking clearly because we are still mad…we have had plenty of time to cool off and we are thinking as rationally as some of us ever have…that’s why you will NEVER see our resolve waver. Nov. 4th is payback day.
sorry about that rant… I’m just a little mad. Now that I’ve cooled off I realize how dumb all this anti-obama stuff is. it’s like we’ve all gone crazy.
I don’t vote according to Hillary’s wishes or anyone elses for that matter!
I will vote for McCain over Obama because country is more important to me than party. I will vote for McCain over Obama because I am of the generation that fought for women’s equality. I will vote for McCain because I believe that every vote should count and every person should get one vote. I will vote for McCain because I think Chicago style politics should end in Chicago not be spread nation wide. I will vote for McCain because he is not Obama!
Tylor Marsh is an opportunist who cares a bout her carear more than anything else. She used the Clinton campain the jumped ship when it suited her.
I honestly from the bottom of heart I don’t think there is anything worse than Obama winning this election. For the Democratic party, Democracy or the very basic democratic proccess we cherish dearly. If we allow this assualt in democracy to succeed, then how are we to justify our fights against all ills of societies in the past few years. Please let’s just look at this as serious as we can.
Daniel,
I am really sick of you coming onto every thread, no matter what the subject, and telling me to vote for Obama because Hillary supports him, or that we’re not really Democrats, or that we’re racists. You obviously not only aren’t going to change our minds, but don’t even want to. You insult us, bait us, and say idiotic things constantly. So here’s my question:
What is it you want? I would appreciate an honest answer, because the only thing I can come up with is that you want to piss us off so much we’ll tell everyone we’ve ever met not to vote for Obama. And if that’s what your goal is, you’ve done an excellent job. Time to go home.
Pluzzzzze with the carrots. He’s disrespecting Hillary again by inviting Elizabeth Edwards (who articulated the same plan as Hillary and supported her) to define a health care plan for his campaign…because he didn’t have a lucid one of his own. How many times will you defend his theft of Hillary’s positions on the issues? He’s an embarrasssssssment.
“If Barack is President, he can have Hillary write his health care bill. She would be forever famous and have her name on the first national health care bill ever passed.”
Daniel: You sound very young, idealistic and naive. It’s hard to tell…maybe you’re older and unrealistic. Barak has insulted Hillary so many times in such coarse, crude, low-life ways that as much as she might want to see her plan in place, I can’t imagine her being Barak’s tool…doing all his heavy lifting. If the American public is so stupid to put him in office, they’ll soon regret it…I’d say by about 2010. Regardless of whomever takes this election, she’ll be lookin’ good in 2012 in contrast.
The Obama camp has no clue re: the resentment they’ve incurred in many of my generation of women (the first boomers born right after WWII).
We are past our reproductive years;hence, the threat of having Roe v. Wade overturned doesn’t pack the punch it used to.
Also, we’ve had our hearts broken once before, when Geraldine Ferraro and Mondale lost to Reagan. Many of us remember that THAT defeat was partly the fault of sexist members of our own party!! And now, it has happened all over again. Our own party has insured us that they do NOT want a woman in high office! It’s more than we can take. That’s why we’re leaving the party. We are heartbroken because this was supposed to be OUR time. BUT, the good ol’ boy system in the Democratic party has made it abundantly clear that they only want a man to be President. Women need not apply!
So now, after 219 years of male rule, it seems we now have to go through all the different colors and varities of men before a woman is considered worthy of becoming President. Looks like it’ll be another 219 years before a woman of ANY color can become President.
“No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her sex.”
– Susan B Anthony, 1872
Oh Cindy you hit the nail on the head with this post. This is it EXACTLY for many of us. Yes, Roe vs. Wade doesn’t concern me…let the young pick up the fight.
And I agree, the worst possible unqualified candidate once again trumps the most qualified female candidate. Don’t ask us to get over it…it ain’t gonna happen.
Nov. 4th…the day I become Republican for a day. Payback.
As a man I can tell you that what I see emerging is a new Republican party. They have finally after 24 years thrown off the yoke of the far right. In it’s place they are reaching out to women and over time will embrace the causes that women care most about.
No need to worry about Roe. In 35 years the Republicans have never overruled it or even come close.
This is the beginning of a real shift. The New Democrats represent the way societies operate in other countries which are corrupt, marxist and anti-women.
The republicans starting with McCain and Fiorina are in the process of building a new coalition of moderate ex democrats and women betrayed by a party that never wanted them to have any real power.
This new coalition has one overriding goal.
The protection of the United States against foreign powers willing to infiltrate our political system and are attempting a hostile takeover of our government.
National Security is the only issue.
Without safety nothing else matters!!!
That is what I have been thinking. This will be a new stronger Republican party, and yes without safety what would we have.
The New Democratic Party is a movement trying to take over and we see this and will not allow it to happen. For you who don’t believe in the “new democratic party”, look it up. They helped Obama get to where he is…I didn’t believe it for a long time until I did some research. I still have trouble believing some of the things I have learned.
I’m with you on the new Republican party. I think we can all be part of a re-birth. True conservatives have long been shouted down by the extreme right wing (the flip side of the extreme Obama left wing). As a former Yella Dog Dem, I too have been slow to realize the complete take over by the Chicago thugs.
Ironic isn’t it that the Chicago Daley machine brought down the party at the ‘68 convention from the conservative side of the party and today the Daley machine brings in down from the extreme left…now that’s what I call equal opportunism!
See? I knew something good was going to come out of all of this.
We are coming together. We are not one extreme or the other.
I think it’s just that even the silent majority is on the Net these days.
Daniel – this is not about Hillary Clinton – this is about the survival of our country.
I feel very sorry for you Daniel that you don’t get it. Wake up, Daniel before it is too late.
These are very dangerous times.
“We have not had anything happen in America since September 11,2001 and they are thinking about this and feel John McCain is more likely to be the right person to keep anything from happening again.”
30yrdem, call me crazy, but if I didn’t know any better I’d say that sounds like a ringing endorsement for Bush policy.
It is a catagorical rebuke of the Obama Party!
No it is not, really, but if you would do some checking Obama did agree with Bush on many things about the war…He tries to hide that now…it is called pandering…
Howard Dean, is that you dressed up as Snoop Dog?
bwwaahaaaa!!!!!!
LOL!!!
The day after 911 I thought for sure we would get attacked again and again. I put my trust in Bush at that time and said to myself if he can keep us from getting attacked again I will honor him for that.
We have taken the fight to the terrorists. We are in the middle east to stay. There is not a place that they can hide.
McCain will continue the process of turning Iraq into a pro western democracy and protecting the western civilized worlds vital interests.
Yes I do give credit where credit is do!!
Yes!
It’s NATIONAL SECURITY, stupid!
What do the droids think about their own security? Delusional doesn’t cover it.
Gosh, I love this woman!
The Democratic Party no longer exists.
Great video! If you’re a New Yorker, you’ll have my vote! You are right … the original battle cry of the AIDS movement — Silence = Death — is so appropriate in this election year. We must speak out! We must replace the idiots one by one, using our voices at the polls. 18 million of us — no deal and no silence! Brava! Our country first!
I agree completely.
Citizens, why waste your anger over Obama or McCain? The truth is that both candidates are lackeys controlled by the corrupt corporations that have destroyed representational democracy in this country. Break out of the two-party dictatorship! Who told you that you have to vote for Dumb or Dumber? Bad or Worse? There is a real choice in this election – Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez. Do yourselves, your family, and your community a favor – please visit votenader.org and checkout Ralph’s positions on the issues and see if you don’t agree. The hell with Obama and McCain – it’ll just be four more years of the same!
Go Nader/Gonzalez ‘08!
Nader can’t win. He is only running to get his ego massaged.
Saying that Nader can’t win, or any third party candidate, is actually your failure to see that the voters hold the power to create change — the point of this blog in the first place.
I was impressed with Nadar’s letter to Hillary in March 2008. Who knows, perhaps his voice did mean something to her in her decision to keep going.
“Senator Clinton:
Just read where Senator Patrick Leahy is calling on you to drop out of the Presidential race. Believe me.
I know something about this. Here’s my advice: Don’t listen to people when they tell you not to run anymore. That’s just political bigotry.
Listen to your own inner citizen First Amendment voice. This is America. Just like every other citizen, you have a right to run. Whenever you like. For as long as you like.
It’s up to you, Hillary. Just tell them — It’s democracy. Get used to it.
Yours truly, Ralph Nader”
Lovin’ it
That was a great letter.
Did you see the documentary on Nadar?
http://www.anunreasonableman.com/
If not, I highly recommend it. It has people on both sides of the fence with Nadar, even from people who have worked with him.
I also heard on, I think it was Democracy Now!, Nader say that he is starting to get some financial support from some of Clinton’s backers. I’m sure a Google search could verify his comment.
I like Nader. I always have. Blaming him because Gore couldn’t (wouldn’t) close the deal is exactly the kind of crybaby “unity pony” crap we’re in for again this year. If Obama doesn’t win, it will not be due to the fact that he SUCKS! It will be Hillary’s fault. Or mine and yours.
I have never voted for any candidate who was not a Democrat. And I’ve been voting since 1976. I’ve never missed voting in any state, local or national election since I turned 18. I will not vote for Barack Obama. He has insulted and demeaned everything that I am. I am white. I am a woman. A 52 year old woman. I am working class. I go to church (but I’m not all “clingy” about it)and my preachers not loco.My kids hunt. And I am a single mother. Obama said the worst experience he has faced in life was being raised by s single mother. That man hasn’t ever had to deal with any kind of adversity in his life if that’s his biggest regret.
So, I don’t know if I’ll vote for Nader yet. I kind of like McKinney, too. And I think Christopher Walken had a campaign going for a while. Cowbells in the White House. Whoo Hoo!
For the first time in my voting life I have no obligations to any party or candidate. So, I thnk I’ll shop around I have til November to decide. And if Obama gets beat.. Great. I’ll take the credit.
Political parties have a constitutional right to determine how delegates are selected in their nominating process. That’s why every lawsuit filed against the DNC has been dismissed during pretrials.
The Constitution is sacred.

The only way he is going to go away is when Obama produces the records and addresses the issues straight on. Does anyone know if this is addressed on Smears (Obama’s website?).
Yeah right!
Obama only wants to address ’safe’ smears.
Notice how he dismisses the Michelle Obama says a racial slur ’smear’ as: No Such Tape Exists.
Not Michelle never said it.
Subtle.
I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH YOU, SINCLAIR WILL GO AWAY, THE OLD FASHIONED GANGSTER STYLE WAY, 6 FEET UNDER. JUST LIKE THE OTHER GAY MEN FROM OBAMA’S CHURCH. I AM SURE OBAMA AND HIS THUGS WILL MAKE SURE OF THAT. THEY WILL PROBALLY FIND HIM HANGING IN HIS CELL, WHICH WE ALL KNOW THAT HIS ARREST WAS A SET UP. THE CAB DRIVER WILL ALSO PROBALLY END UP DEAD.
I BELIEVE SINCLAIR’S STORY TO BE TRUE.
I would like to see our government not controlled by corporate powers. Fascism is the merger of state and corporate powers. Funny that this was said by Mussolini, a fascist. (Takes one to know one as the adage goes.)
I would like to see a viable third party: rise third party rise! I am excited to see more DEMs and REPs switching to IND at this moment. It would be great to see a primary season where Independent candidates seeking their nomination televised.
I rely on history, for inspiration, taking individual responsibility for knowing history so we will we not repeat OUR mistakes.
I am inspired by the words of Eisenhower, “Beware of the military industrial complex.” I always have in the back of my mind, the resistance of not paying my taxes to stop 45 cents on the dollar from going to the defense department. I have not committed to this option yet, but I come closer and closer every election.
Thanks for making your blog one that included direct questions, so we could provide thoughtful direct answers.
The Democratic Party is dead.
The Democratic Party died on May 31, 2008.
the Democratic party actually came together on May 31, 2008. You people just got left at the curb. We’ll do fine without your votes.
Good luck with that.
Thanks for dropping us off on dry land. We’ll be waving to you as the the New Democratic Party ship sinks on November 4.

You are right Sgt, we must stand up and fight for what has been neglected and stolen from the public.
To fight the good fight in the name of our country not to benefit ourselves with sweetheart mortgage deals or stock tips.
That integrity and honor have a place in politics.
That those ideals are not old fashion and actually benefit politicians who operate as such.
Being truthful is a place of strength not weakness and the American people will be drawn to it.
Excellent!!! Excellent!!! Preach it…call it out…testify.
No, I’m not racist…I’m right!
Thanks for reassurring me.
You people are not going to sway the election in McCain’s favor. Obama will win and you guys will have mud on your face. You people remind me of a little baby child who didn’t get its way. Whine away all you want, nobody is listening.
You appear to be listening…
MAJOR TROLL ALERT
Don’t believe these racist comments! The trolls are namejacking again!
This is what the rest of the World sees. These are supposedly comments from the “Progressive” side of America and I try to tell people here that yes America is ready for either a Woman President or a Black President. Hmm. Increasingly unconvinced.
Elections always produce a winner and loser. Often there is resentment and a lot of navel gazing when you lose. The campaigns can also be somewhat tough. A tthe start of the campaign the prizes were almost already being given away. Rudy was to be the Republican candidate and Hillary had the Super Delegates in the bag before the first vote was cast.
A lot changed. Rudy ran the highest risk campaign of all and lost. He is backing McCain. Romney for whatever strange reason dropped out, he is backing McCain and Bigotbee could not convince anyone to vote for him he is also backing McCain.
For the Democrats, the election was shocking. It is hard to remember that these elections were and internal Party selection process, however factionalism is often stronger among your own than your enemy. When Churchill was introduced to the Commons, he pointed over to the opposition benches and asked so that is where the enemy sits?. His mentor replied, no that is the opposition, the enemy sits behind you.
There are lots of complaints here about the so called sexism of the Obama campaign. That may have been the case with his supporters but not with the Campaign. The tactics of Hillary were awful. From surrogates claiming Obama was lucky to be black (in the US it is lucky to come from a lone parent family and be black?), to Hillary saying only she could win the votes of “hard working WHITE Americans”. I always supported Hillary until this campaign and her campaign kept sinking to lower and lower depths (the gun leaflet using a sniper rifle and a zoomed picture of Obama), the endorsement of Mccain over Obama.
This was a campaign to win the selection of a Democrat Party nomination. There is no way a true Democrat could have remained with Hillary and the more she went on the more her grip of super delegates fell apart. That is why she lost. It was her prize and she gave it away. So yeah Obama supporters can be bitter, her campaign in the UK would get her expelled from any Political party, however all of this was dismissed by Obama as tough campaigning. If Clinton and Obama can unite against Republicans than so can any true Democrat.
Damn, you’ve got a lot of time on your hands. It took me a while to scroll through that crap.
Psst…Obama himself said he was in the position he was in because he was black.
He threw Ferrarro under the bus for saying the exact same thing.
Can you say lying, race baiting, hypocrite….because that is exactly what Obama is!
He has diminished true racism with such tactics and I will never reward such a man with my vote.
“her campaign in the UK would get her expelled from any Political party.”
In case you forgot, we fought a war in order to get from under the thumb of the UK. My ancestors were part of it.
Yes, it was dirty and Obama took every advantage of a passive aggressive stance. He smiled in front while he turned his dogs loose to insult, attack and provoke. Personally, I’ve never seen the unmitigated gall demonstrated on the “liberal” blogs. The anti-Obama blogs are so tame in comparison. I’m sure even the Clinton’s were taken by surprise by the filthy politics he practices. We want no part of it.
Many of us believe we can make a bigger contribution to change within the Republican party than the party of Chicago thugs.
Oh, except for the time he gave her the finger on stage and made his snide comments…brushing off his shoulder referencing a crude, gangster, low-life rapper…only a few things just to set the tone for his attack dogs.
Soldier4Hillary, this is an excellent post and I really enjoyed your vid. You make a strong case for why it is important to stand up and do something about what has happened during this primary. It isn’t enough to just stop the corrupt OINC, we have to work at the grassroots level to oust every single do-nothing politician that isn’t listening to the American people. We have to work to get responsible citizens of all stripes and colors in office that will listen to us and not money. We have to get involved and stay involved. I’m with you. Thank you for your service to this country.
UKforDems, you said:
This is what the rest of the World sees. These are supposedly comments from the “Progressive” side of America and I try to tell people here that yes America is ready for either a Woman President or a Black President. Hmm. Increasingly unconvinced.
I take it you are from Britain with the UK part of your name and going on about the “rest of the world. And let’s not forget that Acadian, the Canadian, who has been coming here giving his/her opinion. We don’t give a DAMN what you think. Maybe you should be worried more about Gordon and the Torries screwing up your own country instead of giving out advice to us. We know you didn’t like Bush but good old Blair was right at his side on Iraq. Check your own affairs before you deign yourself superior enough to cast aspersions on us.
In other words, as your ancestors learned the hard way, MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS!
Cheerio!
Actually Blair and Brown are from the same Party, the Labour Party. They are gone after the next election too, although I accept that many of the UK economic problems (and previous benefits) are down to the US economy going pear shaped – hence the concern for the US elections. As for Blair – he should be tried with Bush for War Crimes.
Yes, Soldier4Hillary it is a good blog.
I just caught Barbara Layton on Neil Cavuto’s show. She’s apparently a big donator and fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. She’s calling for an extended “time-out” and she’s not swinging in with the bucks for Obama. She’s underscored what many PUMA members have been stating: BO is the “presumptive” nominee and until the convention in Denver, she’s holding her bets.
Another woman, Paula Abeles, a second major Clinton supporter refusing to back Obama, reports harassment and threatening phone calls [approx 40 since Monday]. Harriet Christain reported the same treatment from strangers [mostly men] making obscene and threatening calls.
Any pro-Hillary blogger is familiar with the vile spew that Obamatrons all too frequently resort to [I've yet to figure out the rationale].
We’re all entitled to our opinion and we own our vote. In this election, we intend to use that vote to express our point of view [opposition to an illegitimate candidate] and to reject what many of us see as the Democratic Party’s willingness to sell its soul.
The Obama campaign has branded itself with a symbol, the big “O.”
Know now, our symbol is the big “V.” You can interpret that any way you like.
Thanks for the essay, Soldier4Hillary. A good one. And thank you for your service!
PUMApac.org
Well, love the symbol! V for Victory.
V for….well, excellent!
Soldier4Hillary; Thank you. There has been an ill breeze these last few days and your words are inspirational.
Denver.
I heard Obama’s campaign described as a movement today. I intend to support his movement with my morning movement.
Then we can hold hands and sing cumbya.
