About: Larry C. Johnson is a former analyst at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, who moved subsequently in 1989 to the U.S. Department of State, where he served four years as the deputy director for transportation security, antiterrorism assistance training, and special operations in the State Department's Office of Counterterrorism. He left government service in October 1993 and set up a consulting business. He currently is the co-owner and CEO of BERG Associates, LLC (Business Exposure Reduction Group) and is an expert in the fields of terrorism, aviation security, and crisis and risk management, and money laundering investigations. Johnson is the founder and main author of No Quarter, a weblog that addresses issues of terrorism and intelligence and politics. NoQuarterUSA was nominated as Best Political Blog of 2008.[1] He has worked as a private consultant on issues of international terrorism and security for the U.S. Government and private companies. Johnson has appeared as a consultant and commentator in many major newspapers and news programs.[2]

[edit]Background
Larry Johnson moved to Washington, D.C. in 1979 to begin work on a Ph.D. at the American University. Although he completed successfully all coursework and comprehensive exams, he did not write a dissertation. In 1978 and in 1983-85 he worked in Latin America on community development projects as a community organizer. Returning to the United States in 1985 he joined the Central Intelligence Agency, thanks in part to a letter of recommendation from Republican Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) that helped to "open doors" for him at the Agency.[3] Johnson entered on duty at the CIA in September 1985 and was a classmate of Valerie Plame. Every member of that class was undercover. After a year in the Career Trainee program, which included a stint with the Afghan Task Force, Johnson was assigned as an analyst in the Middle America Caribbean Division in the Latin American Affairs Office of the Directorate of Intelligence. He received two Exceptional Performance awards and was promoted ultimately to Senior Regional Analyst for Central America.
Johnson remained undercover in the CIA until October 1989, when he resigned from the CIA and started a new job in the Office of Counter Terrorism at the Department of State. Johnson played an instrumental role in launching the Terrorism Rewards program international advertising campaign (working with Diplomatic Security officers Brad Smith and Michael Parks). [4] Johnson also was involved in a variety of crisis management response operations, including the release of hostages from Lebanon and liaison with the Pan Am 103 families. He left government service in October 1993 and started his own business as a consultant.
After leaving government service, Johnson became a frequent guest on many major television news shows when a question of terrorism came up. He was first interviewed by CNN following the capture of Carlos the Jackal. Johnson subsequently appeared on CNN, ABC's Nightline, CBS, the BBC, MSNBC, the Jim Lehrer News Hour, NBC, and NPR. In December of 1999, for example, Johnson was hired by NBC to serve as its terrorist expert for the Y2000 and was in Time Square with Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric ("a lot of fun and the best way to see in the New Year"). Johnson also was hired in January 2002 as a Fox News Analyst and remained under contract until February 2003.
Since 1994 a significant focus of Johnson's consulting work has been with the U.S. military special operations forces in scripting and conducting military counter terrorism exercises. He traveled under orders from the U.S. military to Iraq in May 2006 to work on a short term project.
A registered Republican who supported President Bush in 2000, Johnson became a strong critic of the Bush administration in May 2003 for its conduct of the war in Iraq and, a few months later, for its role in the outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame.[5] He was also featured in the 2004 political documentary Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism. Since Robert Novak's controversial disclosure of Valerie Plame as a CIA operative in July 2003, Johnson has contributed to public discourse on intelligence matters, often sparking further controversy. He has been interviewed by both the mass media and the alternative media and published commentaries on a variety of issues, including the Plame affair, the controversy concerning Mary McCarthy, and the resignation of Porter Goss as Director of Central Intelligence.

[edit]1996
In 1996, Johnson noted that terrorism worldwide was on the decline. "Terrorist incidents [both internationally and in the US] have fallen to levels not seen since the 1970s. Whether measured by the number of incidents, the number of fatalities, or the number of groups, raw statistics demonstrate that the level of terrorist violence has declined since the mid-1980s. In fact, the evidence suggests terrorism was more widespread and deadly 10 years ago."[6]
He also wrote an op-ed piece for the New York Times suggesting that the newer and more deadly terrorist threat to the U.S. was embodied by "networks of terrorists, mostly foreign, working within its borders." Exemplifying this threat was Ramzi Yousef, one of the masterminds behind the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. In the article, Johnson suggests that enhanced cooperation between intelligence agencies, particularly the FBI and CIA, is mandatory to meet the growing threat of terror networks.[7]
[edit]1998
In 1998, Johnson argued that while overall terrorism was declining, the threat from bin Laden and al-Qaeda should be the focus of American counterterrorism policy:
The nature of the threat posed by Bin Ladin is highlighted by my final chart, number 7. Osama Bin Ladin and individuals associated with him have killed and wounded more Americans than any other group. This chart also illustrates that groups such as Hamas and the Tamil Tigers (LTTE) prior to 1998 have killed more foreigners in the anti-US terrorist attacks. If we take into account the bombings of the US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, Osama's status as the most lethal terrorist is certain.[8]
In addition, he told USA Today that bin Laden had participated in "virtually every major attack of terrorism against the United States" in the 1990s. Johnson underlined the threat posed by bin Laden, saying that he was possessed by "hatred and craziness." If left unanswered, "he would continue to terrorize Americans around the world. He has no compunction about killing women and children. He's a complete egalitarian in his murderous attitude."[9]
[edit]1999
In an interview with PBS's Frontline for its 1999 program, Hunting bin Laden, Johnson discussed Osama bin Laden.[10] According to Johnson, Americans had "tended to make Osama bin Laden sort of a superman in Muslim garb." "Actually," he continues, "Osama bin Laden, in my view, represents more of a symptom of a problem, and the problem is this: the Saudi Arabian government, not just Osama bin Laden but many people in Saudi Arabia, have been sending money to radical Islamic groups for years." Johnson continued:
When you look at who's killed Americans in the last 10 years, the individuals he's supported and backed--I'm basing that upon the initial information that's been released in the indictments and conversations with others in the intelligence communities--Osama bin Laden has been the one killing Americans. No other terrorist group in the world has been out killing Americans except for Osama bin Laden.... Osama bin Laden remains out there as the one really targeting us. So, we recognize that he's the threat. He's serious about wanting to kill Americans, but as long as he's in Afghanistan, as long as he doesn't have access to a cell phone, as long as he can't just hop on a plane and travel wherever he wants without fear of being arrested, his ability to plan and conduct terrorist operations is extremely limited. We have to recognize [that] he would like to do a lot of damage. He would like to kill Americans, but wanting to is different from being able to, having the full capabilities in place.[11]
In the interview, Johnson doubted the ability of members of bin Laden's organization to plan and put their lives on the line:
There's not another Ali or Mustafa out there at this point and Osama bin Laden in my view has not been a very effective organizer or leader. He talks a great game and puts out terrific threats as far as stirring the passions in the United States and maybe firing up the imaginations of some young Muslims throughout the world. But when push comes to shove, can he get a group of people who are together who will say: we are going to plan an operation, we're going to put our lives on the line, we're going to go out and try and kill people and we don't care what the consequence is? It hasn't happened.[12]
Frontline asked:
[Is it] ... fair to say what you're saying is that the president of the United States, his national security advisor, his deputy national security advisor for counter-terrorism, are basically blowing smoke [about the danger posed by bin Laden] and his followers]?
Johnson responded:
They're grossly exaggerating the problem. They are hyping it. They shouldn't be talking about rising terrorism. Instead of saying "terrorism's rising," it's not. "Terrorism is spreading," it's not. "More people are dying from terrorism," not the case. But what they should be saying is, "There's one individual out there that really doesn't like us, and he's made it his mission in life to kill Americans, and we've gotta deal with him." But we need to have a voice of reason in that process instead of putting ourselves out crying wolf, because this is essentially what's taking place right now. They call it the administration that cries wolf.[12]
[edit]2000
Johnson co-authored an article in 2000 with Milt Bearden which focused on the threat posed by al-Qaeda specifically, rather than terrorism trends in general. Beardon and Johnson note that new information emerging about the bombings at Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 points to the threat posed by Imad Mugniyah and Osama Bin Laden will require "a coordinated policy that will employ a full range of covert, clandestine, diplomatic, and military operations," concluding:
The Clinton Administration has shot its bolt on the terrorist problem with small effect, and no last minute show of force will change the record. A new administration can start afresh with a more sharply defined set of terrorism goals – Mughniyeh and bin Laden and their protectors for starters – and bring the full, coordinated force of American diplomatic, military, and intelligence capabilities to bear on the problem.[13]
[edit]2001
After Johnson's testimony to the special forum at the U.S. Senate, Gary J. Schmitt, executive director and CEO of the Project for the New American Century, refers in the Daily Standard (blog) to an op-ed piece Johnson wrote two months prior to the 9/11 attacks, claiming that Johnson argued that the US had little to fear from terrorism.[14]
In an editorial entitled "The Declining Terrorist Threat," published in the New York Times on 10 July 2001, Johnson says:
Judging from news reports and the portrayal of villains in our popular entertainment, Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism.... None of these beliefs are based in fact.... While terrorism is not vanquished, in a world where thousands of nuclear warheads are still aimed across the continents, terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States, and it should not be portrayed that way.[15]
Ten days after the 9/11 attacks, after quoting the above passage, Timothy Noah concludes a post in his "Chatterbox" feature at Slate: "Johnson's analysis, we now see, was bold, persuasive, and 100 percent wrong."[16] Johnson defended himself against such attacks:
The rightwing is resurrecting an op-ed I wrote in July 2001. I stand by the full article. It is still relevant today. I am accused, incorrectly, of ignoring the threat of terrorism. In fact, I correctly noted that the real threat emanated from Bin Laden and Islamic extremism. President Bush, for his part, ignored the CIA warning in August 2001 that Al Qaeda was posed to strike inside the United States.[17]
After September 11, Johnson appeared several times on FOX News to address the question of military action against terrorism. On 14 November, he defended the FBI's proposal to interview 5,000 students in the U.S. suspected of having information relevant to the September 11 investigations:
I think they should talk to everyone that they feel they have a need to talk to. I mean, look, this is war. This is not a legal proceeding. This isn't the O.J. Simpson trial. The folks that attacked us -- they murdered Americans. And we've got to recognize that in wartime, we should do things differently.[18]
[edit]2003
In January 2003, Johnson wrote an analysis of the relationship between the upcoming U.S. invasion of Iraq and the threat of transnational terrorism. According to Johnson, Bremer's response was to tell him that "it didn't matter what Saddam did or didn't do, we were going to war."[19] The paper warned that an invasion would "do little to destroy the infrastructure of radical Islamic terrorism responsible for the 9-11 attacks." Noting that Saddam Hussein's regime has been a longtime supporter of regional terrorist organizations such as the PLO, Johnson examines contacts between Saddam Hussein and transnational terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda:
There is no doubt that Iraq is a state sponsor of terrorism—i.e., a country that provides financial support, safe haven, training, or weapons and explosives to groups or individuals that carry out terrorist attacks. . . . According to Central Intelligence Agency data, there is no credible evidence implicating Iraq in any mass casualty terrorist attacks since 1991. . . .
Johnson notes that the period immediately leading up to 2003 saw a rise of activity surrounding terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, suggesting that "Iraq is willing to help a movement that it would otherwise oppose on ideological grounds. Nonetheless," Johnson concludes, "it is important to understand that Iraqi entreaties to Al Qaeda, are most likely intended as a tactic to bolster Iraq’s ability to fight off a U.S. invasion rather than a deep-seated theological and ideological commitment to the terrorist agenda of Bin Laden.[20]
In that analysis Johnson also warns that the U.S.-led invasion was likely to backfire:
In fact there is a serious risk that a U.S. led war against Iraq may crystallize the diffused anger in the Arab and Muslim world — a heretofore unattained goal of bin Laden and his followers — and persuade more Muslim youths to take up the terrorist banner against America and her citizens.... If we decide to invade Iraq we must be prepared for the contingency that our attack will inspire young Muslims to pursue jihad against the West in general and the United States in particular. Just as the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan rallied many Muslims, especially young adults to the cause of jihad, a U.S. attack may enable Islamic extremists to attract new followers.[20]
Johnson also gave interviews on the topic of what to do with captured al-Qaeda leaders; while he did not condone torture, he suggested that a "sleep deprivation and reward system" might be useful for getting information from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed:
I don't see a constitutional right to have eight hours of sleep. You shouldn't subject someone to freezing but they don't get to wear mink coats, either.[21]
In May 2003, Johnson joined members of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) in condemning the manipulation of intelligence for political purposes:
It is a misuse and abuse of intelligence. The president was being misled. He was ill served by the folks who are supposed to protect him on this. Whether this was witting or unwitting, I don't know, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.[22]
[edit]Plame affair
After Robert Novak wrote a column identifying the wife of former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson as a CIA officer, the media invited Johnson to comment on the ensuing scandal because he had been a member of the same Career Trainee class with Valerie Plame Wilson. For example, in October 2003, he appeared on Democracy Now to discuss the Plame affair. He told interviewer Amy Goodman that Valerie Wilson's cover should have been respected whether she was an "analyst" or a "cleaning lady": "if she's undercover she's undercover, period. If the media allows themselves to get distracted with those kinds of curve balls, they ignore the issue."[23]
He told a Senate Democratic Policy Committee in October 2003, "My classmates and I have been betrayed. Together, we have kept the secrets of each other's identities a secret for 18 years. Each and every one of us have kept that secret, whether we were in the CIA, in other government service or in the private sector. But this issue is not just about a blown cover. It is about the destruction of the very essence, the core of human intelligence collection activities: plausible deniability, apparently, for partisan domestic political reasons."[24]
Johnson testified at a special joint hearing of Congressional and Senate Democrats on 22 July 2005 about the consequences arising from the Plame affair.[25]
[edit]2008
In 2008, Johnson emerged as a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton and a strong critic of Barack Obama. Larry Johnson's blog, NoQuarterUSA, became a rally point for Clinton supporters wary of Barack Obama's qualifications to be president. Supporters of Barack Obama insist that a story that first appeared on Johnson's blog--a report that Republican operatives have a tape of Michelle Obama making racially insenstive comments about caucasians--has been "refuted" Barack Obama's Fight the Smears website.[26]. However, Johnson never claimed to have the tape and reported that the Republican operatives controlling it intended to release the tape sometime after the Democratic Convention in August 2008. On October 21, however, he asserted that the operative in possession of the tape had been instructed by the McCain campaign not to release it.[27]

It is, to be sure, a little bit cheap (and slightly at odds with the usual parameters of this feature) to criticize someone for making an erroneous prediction, particularly after a tragedy. Chatterbox is especially reluctant to tag Johnson because Johnson's op-ed was argued forcefully, backed up meticulously with factual data, and bravely at odds with conventional wisdom at the time of its publication. Add in that Johnson now makes his living as a consultant to corporations about terrorism, and therefore had everything to gain by exaggerating the dangers terrorism poses, and the guy practically looks like a hero. Chatterbox, who two decades ago was an editor for the New York Times op-ed page, would have published Johnson's piece had he still been an editor there this past July. In his capacity at Slate, Chatterbox might well have written up Johnson's prediction, and perhaps even endorsed it.
But boy, is he glad he didn't! Johnson's analysis, we now see, was bold, persuasive, and 100 percent wrong. Sadly, a mistake this embarrassing cannot be ignored. As a fellow skeptic, Chatterbox in all sincerity wishes Johnson better luck next time.

If Barack keeps switching positions at this pace, he’ll need a new department to handle all of the information that needs to be deleted aka “scrubbed” aka “erased” from his campaign website. Look at the latest victim. Two days ago Barky’s site touted Campaign Finance as an issue important to Mr. “Hope and Change.” Here’s the screen shot:
Here’s a better look at the specifics:
And today? GONZER. Yep, Barack’s pledge to accept only Public Funds in the General Election has gone the way of Michael Pfleger, Jeremiah Wright, and others. Anyone out there keeping a list of everything Barack and company have scrubbed from their website?
But wait, there is more.
Buyer’s remorse from a Barky supporter?

Nothing surprises me anymore.
No change in position is too large. Just tell your ’sweeties’ to hook you up, blow off the rest of the reporter pool and you’re all set.
Bambiology 101.
Well, they asked for change … and hope … they just better HOPE that he won’t CHANGE on any more issues
By Monday Bacaca will not only be in favor of drilling in ANWAR and on the coasts he’ll say it was his idea.
Paul,
You know him so well
I think it’s a good idea to know Our Messiah through and through, so we can all genuflect at the appropriate angle (hint: That angle is always towards a city in Saudi Arabia).
I think it’s a good idea to know Our Messiah through and through, so we can all genuflect at the appropriate angle (hint: That angle is always towards a particular city in Saudi Arabia).
You’re absolutely right!
He’ll say, “I’ve been saying for years that we should open the oil reserves”
Nicole posted this in a previous thread, but it’s a great video of an Obama supporter’s response to this debacle. Excellent viewing!

Maybe this is really the job they hired Solis for.
Solis was hired because she nagged ‘em. She’s not very complicated. I enter “Grey’s Anatomy” as evidence.
You mean the Obamatrons were bamboozled again?
Yes, I think Bambs went to the Okie Doke.
You know about the Okie Doke, right?
No, I’ve been hoodwinked.
I always confuse it with bamboozled, myself.
Sometimes I mix up the Okie Doke with the hoakey dork who’s talking about it.
OMG….I’ve been hornswoggled
Once again, political expediency wins the day. How can people still believe that this fraud represents “hope and change” for our country???
Same old, same old.
Public financing, get thee under the bus. If thee can findeth room.
We’re gonna need a bigger bus.
Hey Larry
Try this link web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.barackobama.com
I can’t believe how easy BHO is making it for the McCain camp. It’s almost like he’s INTENTIONALLY trying to throw the DEM election.
hmmmmmm?
dawnelle–The man is so self destructive — I can only hope he is trying to throw the election to McCain but with is ego — he still thinks he can fool all the people all the time.
Mr. Obama,
Don’t you know that you can’t run away from yourself?
Where ever you try to RUN, there YOU will BE!
http://tinyurl.com/67qwhk
Silly PooH!
Why would BO take public financing, when he can raise much more from all the enemies of the US abroad?
Follow the money.
Obamastan is next.
OK -
Show me one.
All income (and expenditures) are documented at fec.gov, as well as the more easily searchable opensecrets.org
Show me the boogeyman you claim exists.
It’s bundled dummy. OMG you guys will make accuses for everything. I see why you support him, you know birds of a feather and all.
Ummm…
You do realize “bundled money” - in denominations over $200 - still has to reported under the individual donor, right?
I think you’re thinking of ’soft money’ - which is what goes to 527s.
Dummy.
You still believe that he’s not part of the machine, don’t you? Despite all of the evidence to the contrary? I am so sorry that you are willfully naive. It is going to really suck when the truth is out. I truly am sorry. November 5th is not going to be your friend.
Hey, Veritas… you should change your name to Caecus.
Veritas; copyright much?
All that “Backed up” info1 You should be able to restore all the scrubbed pages of Bo’s website.
Then watch…99.99% of it will tell you you have been duped!
Such is the way of BO’s CRAP CANNON!
Look…I’m not going to explain to you how easily it can be done. Use reason,God gave you a brain why don’t you use it. Do you think the people that have been arrested for election fraud were innocent dummy?
Have you heard the whitey tape yet, Larry?
Oh, and since when is NOT taking $85 million of gov’t money a bad thing?
Besides, McCain couldn’t even follow his own campaign finance laws during the primary.
Yawn!
That’s it - that’s all you’ve got?
Of course it is.
How’s the flip-flop label work out for Sir Swiftboat again, astrotroll?
Tell Mr “I hear better than the Ferengi” that he is ’sweet and pathetic,’ and that it’s time to renew his Maxim magazine subscription.
How’s the weather in Gaza?
Aren’t the internet cafe’s about to close?
LOL!
Time for our astrotroll to head out to the ‘flea market’ and score some C-4.
In case you haven’t noticed, McCain 1, Obama 0 on financing. The NY Times — who hasn’t said one bad word about oblowme since day one — wasn’t bamboozled for a moment. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/20/us/politics/20finance.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
Money is obviously more important here than the principles he said he is fighting for. Face it bunky. Obama has no principles. He’s Bush II.
Why waste enerygy responding to such a tired comment?
When you have pledged to take this money.
Oh, Tom. You must be low on the list of important O bloggers since you haven’t heard that you’re supposed to be nice to us now.
See, the attack dogs have been called off, which makes you the runt of the litter since you just keep barking for Barky.
Though, admittedly, the ‘be nice’ angle isn’t working. But we do at lest find it amusing; it’s like watching the mentally deranged try to eat an eclair on a hot day.
You’re projecting. It’s cute, but you really should see a professional.
Hey Tommie boy,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcFOiyRV-30
The “Hillary Clinton Party”? How cute. Too bad she won’t have anything to do with you.
he pledged to aggressively pursue an agreement, and McCain couldn’t even obey his own campaign finance laws in the primary. Why would anyone pursue an agreement with someone who can’t follow his own rules?
Whoa! I’m getting dizzy from your extreme spin.
Neither candidate pledged to accept matching funds during campaign.
New bumper sticker.
Obama lied; Trolls cried!
In November 2007, Obama answered “Yes” to Common Cause when asked “If you are nominated for President in 2008 and your major opponents agree to forgo private funding in the general election campaign, will you participate in the presidential public financing system?”
When oblowme says them, they are just words, eh?
“Just words? Don’t tell me words don’t matter!” Obama
“Just words? Don’t tell me words don’t matter!” Obama
hahaha. RIGHT!!
“Just words…” - Obama, courtesy of Deval Patrick.
Something about keeping to one’s words. Something about being honorable.
But then neither Obama nor his brainwashed minions know the meaning of the word.
Tom, i got your whitey right here in my pants.
When you are dont licking Oblowme’s nuts feel free to come check it out.
I guess that’s what passes for discourse around here.
Uhhhh…
Tom, it’s called strength of character. It’s called TRUST. It’s called integrity and honor.
Little Lord Obama does not keep his word. He does not honor his commitments. He fills the airwaves with empty promises.
Seriously, it’s not as if this is the FIRST time something like this has transpired. He has a difficult time telling the truth.
Words are cheap. Actions speak louder than words.
Fooj!
PLEASE help get this out, post it everywhere, hopefully people will wake the heck up!!!!
Can this be so??? Remembering helps!
A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves.
Pause a moment, reflect back.
These events are actual events from history.
They really happened!!!
Do you remember?
1. 1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by Muslim male extremist between the ages of 17 and 40.
2. In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.
3. In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

No, I really don’t see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people…
Absolutely No Profiling!
They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President’s security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss,
but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.
According to The Book of Revelations:
The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, he will destroy everything.
And Now:
For the award winning
Act of Stupidity
Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the most Powerful position on the face of the Planet —
The Presidency of the United states of America
A Muslim
Male
Extremist
Between
the ages
of 17 and 40.
Have the American People completely lost their Minds, or just their Power of Reason ???
I’m sorry but I refuse to take a chance on the ‘unknown’ candidate Obama…
Let’s send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds and other stupid attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense, feel ashamed of themselves — if they have any such sense.
As the writer of the award winning story ‘Forrest Gump’ so aptly put it,
‘Stupid
Is
As
Stupid Does.’
The Antichrist will be the future leader of the Muslims, the 12th Imam al Mahdi, who restores the Caliphate and attacks and defeats Israel.
You guys are beginning to sound like paranoid crazies: chill out…this sight is not about trashing Muslims or really any other group–it’s about getting out the truth.
Stay on topic, on point and in reality or play elsewhere.
1. 1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by Muslim male extremist between the ages of 17 and 40.
Kennedy was killed by Sirhan Sirhan, who was not a Muslim. From Wikipedia:
Some of the others you mentioned weren’t Muslim extermists, but memberes of secular organizations. Not much of a “pattern,” other than one based on making stuff up.
According to The Book of Revelations:
The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….
If you mean The Book of Revelation, the last book in the canonical New Testament, then this is not so, because the Muslim faith wasn’t founded until hundreds of years after it was written.
Sirhan was raised no differently than Muslims..
This vicious anti-Jewish instruction is part and parcel to the Muslim world and the principle of eternal enmity between Muslims and Jews is a core part of Mohemmend’s example.
I swear those Obama people smoke too much pot, reefer madness abounds, next thing you know, you’re supporting a kook like Obama.
Which reminds me, ever see Dick Cheney sucking on a bong?
No, me neither.
the People of America want to elect…
A Muslim
Male
Extremist
Between the ages of 17 and 40.
Lorie,
You got ‘Male’ right!
Your score is 25%!
If you doubled that score, you’d still have an ‘F.’
How can the Antichrist be Muslim if Christianity predates Islam?
Just wondering, I am against Obama 100% and have had a few thoughts about Obama being the False Prophet.
It all stems from Abraham and an illegitimate child he fathered. It’s in the Old Testament.
If you want to get theological about it, it’s the reason for the conflict rages in the Middle East between the Jews and Muslims.
Both claim that the land (Israel) is theirs by rights of their ancestor Abraham.
Barack Obama will be 47 in August, so he doesn’t fit your profile.
I’m not afraid to wear my foil hat on occasion, but this is the stuff that spam mail is made of.
I’m also willing to support valid anti-Obama thought, but I need facts and proof not innuendo.
If Tom Cruise went on Oprah tomorrow, jumped on a couch and said that Oprah is the reincarnation of L. Ron Hubbard this whole charade wouldn’t be any less credible than it already is.
The Thetans cometh.
EDIT: ‘that Obama is the reincarnation of L Ron Hubbard’
As soon as Winston had dealt with each of the messages, he clipped his speakwritten corrections to the appropriate copy of the Times and pushed them into the pneumatic tube. Then, with a movement which was as nearly as possible unconscious, he crumpled up the original message and any notes that he himself had made, and dropped them into the memory hole to be devoured by the flames.
What happened in the unseen labyrinth to which the pneumatic tubes led, he did not know in detail, but he did know in general terms. As soon as all the corrections which happened to be necessary in any particular number of the Times had been assembled and collated, that number would be reprinted, the original copy destroyed, and the corrected copy placed on the files in its stead.
This process of continuous alteration was applied not only to newspapers, but to books, periodicals, pamphlets, posters, leaflets, films, sound-tracks, cartoons, photographs — to every kind of literature or documentation which might conceivably hold any political or ideological significance. Day by day and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date. In this way every prediction made by the Party could be shown by documentary evidence to have been correct, nor was any item of news, or any expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to remain on record. All history was a palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was necessary. In no case would it have been possible, once the deed was done, to prove that any falsification had taken place. The largest section of the Records Department, far larger than the one on which Winston worked, consisted simply of persons whose duty it was to track down and collect all copies of books, newspapers, and other documents which had been superseded and were due for destruction.
A number of the Times which might, because of changes in political alignment, or mistaken prophecies uttered by Big Brother, have been rewritten a dozen times still stood on the files bearing its original date, and no other copy existed to contradict it. Books, also, were recalled and rewritten again and again, and were invariably reissued without any admission that any alteration had been made. Even the written instructions which Winston received, and which he invariably got rid of as soon as he had dealt with them, never stated or implied that an act of forgery was to be committed: always the reference was to slips, errors, misprints, or misquotations which it was necessary to put right in the interests of accuracy.
And they still have that book listed as fiction. LOL
I am laughing so hard. He has damaged himself. He can erase all he wants but we all know what he said…words can be erased from a website but not from a newspaper article!
What I find ironic is that the monstrosity that was created by McCain-Feingold (a well-intentioned bill to be sure, but fatally flawed as made obvious by what it wrought) is that rather than stop the influence of fat cat donors and shady fundraising, it actually spawned something much worse — namely the shady, virtually unregulated 527s.
What’s equally ironic is that by eschewing public financing, Obama has actually undercut the monstrosities… he’s asked Democrat 527s NOT to run ads, and Moveon’s 527, at least, has complied.
The decision has certainly made the financing of Obama 08 more above the board than will be McCain’s campaign… McCain will be limited, but the 527s, which we’ll certainly never find completely who funds - will go on their merry way.
Meanwhile - the pro-Obama expenditures will still be readily traceable and still be held to the individual contribution limit.
Of course, it’ll never get admitted around these parts — but the 2008 Obama campaign will be more transparent, more above-board, and more a direct reflection of regular American citizens than will be McCain or the fantasy-not-gonna happen HRC campaign would have been.
Oh. Is this like not voting for a cap on credit card interst rates because it was too high? And no cap is better than a flawed cap?
You are a tool. Being used. By someone who cares nothing for you, your suffering, your needs, your future, your hopes, dreams, causes or aspirations. You are a thing to him.
Just to clear the misconception,
Here is MoveOn.org’s 527 ad against McCain.
http://pol.moveon.org/content/video/reckless.mov
Or not.
I’m no newcomer to Barack Obama. I volunteered for him way back 2003, when he was expected to be a distant 3rd in the crowded IL Dem Senate primary… I’ve met Obama several times - well before he became the political superstar he is today. I’ve been active in Democratic politics for more than 2 decades — and I’ve met a LOT of politicians (including both Clintons).
I’m used the elected officials who look right through you - who see you as little more than props. I’ve learned to live with it - so long as such folks are ideologically where I’d like them to be.
Obama’s one of the few (Howard Dean was another — Russ Feingold, I’d also put in that category) - who don’t slot into that ‘thousand mile away smile’ category.
As a constituent of his - I’ve found his office to in fact be more responsive than any of my other state or federal elected officials.
Back in 2005, a friend of mine was getting a real screwing by Sinclair broadcasting — he’d been fired for refusing to participate in the Swifty BS — but then Sinclair also took him to court to enforce non-compete clauses, which basically prevented him from getting another job anywhere in the industry.
Myself and other friends of his going back to high school organized letter writing campaigns, contacted advertisers — to no avail.
Frustrated and out of options - we all wrote our federal elected officials, for whatever little help our government might provide (hearings on media neutrality, whatever).
I got no answer at all from my Congressman’s office (Rahm Emmanuel).
I got a form letter inviting me to the standard “have breakfast with your Senator” from Dick Durbin.
From Obama’s office, however, I got an on-point response from his office — addressing the situation, saying that although it sounded like something out his purview - he’d be happy to help in any way possible. The letter provided private contact info for his office legal counsel - which my friend did call.
My friend ultimately settled with Sinclair — but here was a Senator’s office responsive to a request from a constituent to help a friend in another state — and here was the Senator’s office at least offering to see if there was any way they could help.
I’ve had the exact same experience every time I’ve contacted his office — and as politically active as I am, I contact my elected officials pretty often.
You don’t like Obama’s policy stances and don’t want to vote for him? Fine - fare thee well.
But don’t try to sell me some bullshit about what an awful person he is or how unfit to lead he is — I know better… FROM EXPERIENCE.
Really?
And how about the poor black people he left to freeze in Chicago, and the IL and US government tax money he stole, or helped others steal?
And others want to examine his relationship with Alsammarae, ex minister of Electricity in Iraq, accused to stealing 2 billion dollars, a man also connected to the White House, a man who put up Rezko’s bail, and recently called for jihad against American soldiers, an AMERICAN citizen calling for Iraqis to murder his countrymen, apparently a new Jane Fonda for our times.
He contributes to Obama, too, right?
How may American service people, and other innocents, died in the Middle East today for some prime kookoo butt republican thinking, straight off the Angus, and how is Obama, and the rest of that repulsive corrupt Congress, profiting?
Obama rapes the American people, get real, he’s the problem.
You have a real problem here.
Tell it to the people whose votes he stole when he stole Clinton’s delegates, a$$wipe.
Michelle is that you?
Obama may “look you in the eyes” and not through you (whatever that means), and he may have professionally competent people working in his State senate office, but that doesn’t make him fit or able or capable of donning the most powerful “suit” in the land. There’s many instances where’s he’s proven himself to be unfit for “command”–one big example, you ask? Well, his failure to hold even ONE oversight hearing on Afghanistan on the European Affairs subcommittee, which he chairs.
So BO saying he did not know about the conditions of 11 Rezko tenaments in his district is ok with you?
No heat no water in achicago winter and he Says he did not know? Bullshit.
Push your BS elsewhere.
This is the only story I have heard that tells me Obama did something. I think it is make beleieve. Good try!
Dude, then why the FUCK didn’t Obama boy make that point at the outset rather than agree with McCain Feingold? You Obama nuts are hopeless.
I feel for the american people when this fraud talks about change and a new type of politics. We can’t allow the american people to buy into this propaganda.
If the american people are stupid enough to put this fraud in office they deserve what they get.
Well I don’t.

Young man, the 18 million people who voted for Hillary CLinton will gladly welcome you into our fold. Barack Hussein Obama is FAKE and a vote for Hillary Clinton means never having to say you’re sorry.
WELCOME.
The problem is — during the primary we saw the “iconic” Obama, the “symbol” of America’s racial healing.
He didn’t have to say more than “Hope” and “Change” to capitalize on this country’s deep desire to heal racism.
And that’s the most poignant part — I believe the majority of Americans of ALL races and religions are goodhearted people.
Obama’s camp exploited this deep need for healing that we all share and everyone — inclduing the press — resisted actually vetting the guy to keep this healing viable.
However, now that he is the second half of his bid for president “Obama the Symbol Healing” is being replaced by “Obama the Hardball-Playing Chicago Politician.”
And the result is cognative dissonance for some people.
The Great Uniter turned into the Great Divider.
His new politics of accountability turned into the same old politics of obfuscation and denial of culpability.
His Hope and Change turned into Changing his position at every opportune moment and Hoping we dont notice.
His Judgment turned out to be a fairytale.
His movement turned out to be nothing more than an oversaturation of the media market via the slick madison avenue marketing machine.
His Audacity of Hope turned out to be the Audacity of Hype.
And he turned out to be a typical dirty politician.
I have great admiration for the person above who made the you tube video, along with many other people who express their opinion in this forum. This person seemed incredibly intelligent and open-minded.
It’s easy for someone like myself to make anonymous comments—slamming the opposing candidate when the whim or anger strikes me. But this guy’s points were well thought out, very analytical, and made sense. I hope a lot of people pay attention to what he had to say.
The hilarious thing is that if Barack had taken public money you would have figured out a way to criticize him for that too.
no
whats really hilarious is that Obama gets a pass from his idiot supporters who always use the well it wouldnt have mattered if he did the right thing because you would find something wrong excuse.
When are you morons going to wake up?
You are worse than the mothers of the obnoxious schoolyard bullies who think their little snookums never does anything wrong. Meanwhile the rest of the schoolyard recognizes you enable and accept the behavior of an obnoxious rotten brat because you wuv him so very much.
Hello again Mr. Misdirection. He is being criticized for changing positions and since he has very little track record of accomplishments his word is everything. And his word is worth zilch.
No, that money is based on checking the $3 box on your tax returns.
He is the first candidate since the Watergate era who hasn’t accepted it.
Even Feingold said that part of the process works.
Did you check that box this year on your tax returns? Do you have a probelm with supporting a Presidential election with $3?
Neither does anyone else here.
Love, he lied to you that it is an honorable thing to not take public money. Wake up.

Know Obama
No Obama
Your only source devoted to breaking the media’s generous coverage on the Obama campaign.
I was expecting to see empty cans of energy drinks and bags of cheetos in that Obama supporters video.
Those energy drinks stink like pediapred, a liquid steroid given to asthmatic children.
Even in the trash, the cans still stink, and I gag at the smell, even though it’s so weak.
An acquired taste, I suppose.
He’s changing EVER Y THING. He chucked his CAFE standards, even though they were still much less than Hillary’s, now he doesn’t give exact figures. SCRUBBI DUB DUBBED.
Just make sure to vote McCain in November.
Send this shitbag back where he came from along with his dirty pol friends and nutjob liberal eletist groupies.
McCain’s just as bad, it’s the operatives who play Washington, (the big money people), who need to go.
lol.
You ever actually looked into obama’s past politics?
and his associations and how he got where he got and who he pandered to screwed over and took money from and gave promises to?
Operatives who play washington?
Chicago politics makes washington politics look like a tennis match between old ladies.
Really you myopic obama supporters need to get educated not only about history but also about your candidates history.
They shoud require a license to vote. Voting in this nutjob is as bad as driving drunk in rush hour traffic.
Actually a MoveOn ad is airing as a read this — the one about the new Mom and her son, that McCain can’t have for his 100 year war.
So much for the purity of the Democrat 527s.
Obama website exploiting children and exposing them to the dangers of internet monsters, now BO is using a a baby. Frakin Desperate crap..
“McCain you can’t have him.” WTF?
No surprise from the arses at Moveon.oborg, but for CRAP CANNON sake!
And your little dog too?
Yes…..and then it’s Obama who claims the REpubs will use fear to win.
The man is deceitful liar, isn’t he?
He uses fear every single day.
Nice young man making some really valid points. I wish more young people would be as smart as he has been in his analysis of Obama’s behavior and the rampant media manipulation of him as a candidate. When I see some of the things the Obama campaign has done it reminds me of the Nazis. Scare tactics, manipulation, psychological warfare, hateful mentors and ministers, threats, arrogance- sounds like a smart but immoral candidate to me. As his preacher of 20 years said, “America be damned”. Maybe that is where this candidate wants to take us.
If the O’boy has so much cash to tap into, why is he going back to Clinton donors, hat in hand, with Hillary in tow?
That is a DAMN good question Johnny at Work!
Shocking!
It reminds me, though: Whatever happened to the post entitled “Which Woman Has the Appearance of a First Lady”?
I could’ve sworn I saw it right here on NoQuarter….
That’s a moot question if HRC wins. Too bad her own repressive party got in the way.
http://www.obama-wire.com
I feel bad for that guy…because I’ve seen his other youtube videos over time and he really is/ was an Obama supporter.
Obama is such a disappointment!! We’ve been saying this about him for months–he lies about everything, and he flip flips about everything. His opinions change with the wind!!
“Shameless” from LondonAmerican
http://londonamerican01.blogspot.com/2008/06/shameless.html
“who can believe a word this conman says after the nafta reversal, the multiple reversals on iraq and iran, the lies about the “rev” wright, the lies about his not running for president, his lies about lobbyist money, his lies about rezko, gun control and healthcare reform and his most recent lies today to the american people on campaign reform? on virtually everything he has campaigned or opened his inarticulate mouth this man has lied. he’s played anyone who would believe him for a fool. has anyone ever seen a politician so nakedly power-hungry and shameless?”
Now when I was growing up as a young kite…musta been 5 or 6, my favorite book was…”Harold and the Purple Crayon”…needless to say I drew all over my wall thinkin I could be like “Harold”.
My dad told my butt I was wrong.
.
BO seems to be like Harold…as no one has said anything to disabuse him of this “notion”. “Man-Child” indeed Mr. Johnson.
Well, he is the “candidate of change”, after all.
God help us if this charlatin actually gets elected.
What annoys me the most is that he’s flip-flopping because he lied during the primaries to voters. He turned non-issues into points of criticism, knowing fully well he’d adopt the same position as Hillary.
She’s more progressive than he is. Bolder, too. But not audacious!
Oh well…the price he’ll pay is what’s happening now. People are starting to understand just how much of a liar he really is.
He’s going to end up and make that entire group look like the gang of fools they are.
Did My Fellow NoQuarters Know That Obama Raised $161,927 From Lobbyists?
http://www.obama-wire.com/obama_lobbyist.htm
Yes…..the conservative writers are doing a much better job of checking out his claims, and there was a good story on rcp yesterday on just that topic.
