This was my favorite Hillary quote from the primaries:

“I have a lifetime of experience I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he made in 2002.”

I have been posting the following on various blogs myself. It’s nice to know others see the same thing.

I see Obama as a mirror image of George Bush. Both have father issues that led to poor decisions/associations. Bush ran on being a uniter not a divider saying the problem was with the Washington insiders. Obama says the same thing. Bush was naive in invading Iraq and Obama is naive in his willingness to meet with the likes of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Bush attracted the far right of his party. Obama attracts the far left of his party. Just as the Bush presidency has been a disaster so would an Obama presidency at best.

Obama is passive-aggressive; he uses misdirection and is duplicitous on an Orwellian level. Obama would be dangerous as president. While there are many issues on which I disagree with McCain I will support him putting my own self interests aside for the greater good of the country.

So you are saying Obama was wrong to endorse Kerry. But when Clinton endorsed Obama, I am sure you have a different analysis, yes? The reality is any politician who wants a future in their party, especially a shot at being president, has to endorse their party’s candidate. i wouldn’t read too much into Obama doing it or Clinton doing it.

f the president had to function as a solitary entity, then I would share your concern. However, the president has a cabinet ana a staff to help them. I believe Obama’s basic instincts are good, and he has demonstrated an interest in learning all sides of an issue before making a decsion. So I am not worried that his relative lack of experience will be a problem. I believe he will surround himself with talent and experience and will move the country in a direction closer to my preference than McCain would.

I was not comparing CLinton to Obama. But since you did, I meant him living in different countries and having relatives that are Muslim.

But I agree, Clinton has been exposed to other ccultures as well. I was thinking more of Bush, who isolates himself from just about everything.

I am not convinced that Clinton “wrote” the policies on the issues I mentioned above, since they all predate her entry into politics.
But, as I said, had she won th primary, iwould be happy voting for her.

Yes it does. However, unfortunately, it sems every politician does this. McCain does it more than just about anyone, so I don’t see this as a reason to choose him over Obama.

The only reason Clinton’s and Obama’s ideas are close is because the lazy ass used her positions as his own. I don’t think Obama has had an original thought since he was born.

At least with McCain we actually know what his true positions are. Yes, I don’t agree with all of them. But at least he doesn’t change them depending on the audience. The big difference between the two is that McCain genuinely loves his country, and Obama genuinely loves himself.
