Obama’s FISA Cult-Aide Shuffle

Everyone was against it. At least those of us with any sense of patriotism. Spying on Americans? That was something only a maniacal dictator wannabe like Bush would propose. The 4th Amendment has been a fundamental tenet of the Democratic party. But no more. Great Leader Obama has decided that he supports spying on Americans and like masses of sheep his cult followers fell into line supporting it too.

Obama’s support for the FISA “compromise”

What had been a vicious assault on our Constitution, and corrupt complicity to conceal Bush lawbreaking, magically and instantaneously transformed into a perfectly understandable position, even a shrewd and commendable decision, that we should not only accept, but be grateful for as undertaken by Obama for our Own Good.

My friends, this is exactly the definition of a cult. People do and say things that if they were using their reasoning faculties they would know that what they were doing was wrong. But instead they “believe” in the superior will of the Master and follow along like so many lemmings. Taking their will and good sense off the cliff.

Otherwise reasonable people did a massive 180 as if no one was looking. They even went so far as to redefine what they were supporting so that it wouldn’t sound so bad.

Numerous individuals stepped forward to assure us that there was only one small bad part of this bill — the part which immunizes lawbreaking telecoms — and since Obama says that he opposes that part, there is no basis for criticizing him for what he did. Besides, even if Obama decided to support an imperfect bill, it’s our duty to refrain from voicing any criticism of him, because the Only Thing That Matters is that Barack Obama be put in the Oval Office, and we must do anything and everything — including remain silent when he embraces a full-scale assault on the Fourth Amendment and the rule of law — because every goal is now subordinate to electing Barack Obama our new Leader.

Notice that? The most important thing is to put Obama in the White House. Our Constitutional protections wane in comparison to this importance. All those folks that fought and died or were maimed for life defending the Constitution, their lives mean nothing compared with the one life that is Obama. He is a lot more important that the principles that make us a great democracy. No wonder he has his own Presidential Seal.

A single example of what this bill does to harm us is worth pointing out. For several years now the Democratic party has stated time after time that certain powers claimed by Bush were unconstitutional and thus illegal. But not any longer. Thanks to Obama and his Cult.

The bill legalizes many of the warrantless eavesdropping activities George Bush secretly and illegally ordered in 2001. Those warrantless eavesdropping powers violate core Fourth Amendment protections. And Barack Obama now supports all of it, and will vote it into law. Those are just facts.

Quite frankly this action is much worse than anything Bush did. With the thuggish behavior of the Obama campaign and his hordes of Cult followers the potential for intimidation, violation and abuse are far greater than anything we have ever seen before. Even worse than Nixon.

Word to the wise: NObama!

Just Say No Deal

Why is Fox News Protecting Obama?

The message to the media is to stay away from anything that could seriously tarnish Obama’s image. A relationship with a Stalinist agent could certainly do so. So the information will have to be suppressed, even by Fox News.

Of course, bringing up the role of Frank Marshall Davis in raising Obama is not a smear. It is a fact. But facts can be inconvenient things when there is a political will to ignore them. Likewise, Tony Lake’s nonsensical views about Alger Hiss will likely be ignored. Many reporters probably don’t even know who Alger Hiss was. So what does it matter that people like Alger Hiss and Frank Marshall Davis were communist agents? And that Obama is now being advised by someone who turns a blind eye to the evidence of communist infiltration of the U.S. Government?

Does anybody in the major media care about the truth anymore? And what has happened to the conservative media as well?

FOX is protecting Obama until the end of the Dem. Convention because the G.O.P. will annihilate him in the November election. The name of the game was and always has been “Anybody but Hillary”. Probably as many Republicans voted for Barack in the primaries as Democrats. The red-state caucuses were set up to provide more delegates for Obama this way. In fact, this election scam has been in the works since 2004, engineered by a coalition of G.O.P. and Dem Party leaders (who want to stay the Dem Party leaders), plus the MSM (representing Wall Street). Click on my screen name for an article that explains how it all came down, with links to lots of sources.

I find this very hard to believe as the effects of the Obama nomination will set back America for years to come. Why would the Gop and Dems work together to cause such racial strife in America. I personally think it was a few DNC leaders who wanted to get back at the Clintons and wanted more power. I get really tired of the excuse that is the GOP fault when we all saw the media and DNC push Hillary out. We screwed up by ignoring what our leaders were doing and not speaking out sooner. We unfortunately thought the system would work, but the DNC and Obama have had this plan in the works a long time and poor Hillary never stood a chance. I am very proud of Bill Clinton for not endorsing Obama and I hope he never does. I read an article over at salon.com that basically said that after we all get over our HISSY FITS we will still end up voting for Obama. THEY JUST DON’T GET IT!!!

Comment by joe | 2008-06-23 00:47:26

I agree DJ. Obama strong armed his way to the convention. Never underestimate a Chicago pol. They will lie, cheat, and steal to win an election. I’m from Illinois, I know. The GOP would rather run against Obama than Hill, true, I gives them a fighting chance. But there wasn’t a conspiracy with GOP/DNC that would guarantee anybody but HRC.

Obama is toast. The McCain energy policy unveiled last week sealed the deal. Nuclear power and responsible exploration/drilling coupled with alternative energy (wind, solar, hydro) is what a majority of Americans want, and McCain claimed that issue as his own w/o going back on ANWR and conservation principles. THAT is the issue this election and McCain has already won it.

OH MY GOD the BOBOweenies were writhing all over themselves a couple days ago at the Huff Po to defend BOBO’s decision to support Telecom immunity. After years of opposing it, suddenly the American progressive movement decided that it would be OK that telecoms got immunity. You should have heard them. Sure the telecoms would participate in an investigation. Sure the telecoms would testify against Bush. Sure, no problem.

The BOBOweenies have officially gone over to the dark side and become mindless tools for BOBO.

I had a sophisticated and successful friend say to me recently: “He wasn’t IN the church that day!” I just looked at her like she was on drugs: did you HEAR what you just said? Can any rational, intelligent person actually believe this crap? It is getting more bizarre by the day. I do NOT understand the attraction at all.

The bill wasn’t a bad bill. Yes, it was funny to watch the bots twist their logic to defend the One, but it was a good bill that will protect the nation. Foreign citizens are not afforded 4th amendment protections, yet. The SC might make that happen soon, but it hasn’t yet.

MoveOn demands a filibuster

Insisting on a campaign promise that Obama would filibuster any wiretapping bill that included retroactive immunity for the telecommunications companies that let the government listen in, Obama’s allies at MoveOn are asking supporters to “call Sen. Obama today and tell him you’re counting on him to keep his word.” from Politico

another one is thrown under the bus!

Comment by WildChild | 2008-06-22 22:23:06

On the bright side, BOBO promises to support the filibuster of the Bill he supports to grant the telecoms immunity that he will vote for the second the filibuster is over. BOBO also promises to” Fight” to strip telecom immunity from the bill that that he supports to give the telecoms immunity that he will vote for the second it comes to the floor with the telecom immunity unstripped. NOW can’t you see how BOBO is consistent and not a flip flopper?

Comment by Johnny at Work | 2008-06-22 23:05:57

Obama has taken both sides of every issue. That way he can say he was for it before he was against it.

That worked so well for Kerry after all.

One does not need a degree in psychology or sociology to recognize that the Obama followers are bat-shit crazy. The majority of voters — 18 million of us know that something isn’t right about this Obama-nut trying to get the keys to the white house.

We must keep fighting — support PUMA — and hope that somehow enough delegates and super delegates will wake up.

Otherwise — it is our responsibility to use our votes wisely and vote NO-BOBO — no obama — on 4 November!

I don’t know, I went up to the Huffy Po and Kos sites last Friday and there was a good deal of handwringing going on. Even a number of people second guessing their choice of candidate. I noticed today that the Obamatron’s memory is incredibly short and they’re now into chanting mode again. But . . . you cannot put lipstick on a pig and expect a runway model.

The 180 that Obama did on the Telecom issue is simply an extension of the many turn abouts he’s finessed, brushed off and his supporters have effectively ignored. But they’re starting to add up: the NAFTA turn around, public financing, the AIPAC I’m with you today, I’m not with you tomorrow, and a host of others.

Why is Fox not going after him as strong? I think they’re keeping their powder dry for the Big Bang. I’ve gotta believe that Karl Rove and the Republican slime machine is waiting for optimum damage. Maybe I’m naive but I can’t help but think it’s coming and when it does it will blow the roof off.

I have to think that because not to believe it just beyond scary.

Wake up America.

Aside from self serving Newsweek polls, the campaign is a statistical tie. The Repubs are not going to shoot the wad now, and and allow O’boy time to regroup.

If the Repubs do serious damage to O’boy before the Dem convention, the pledged and super delegates could change to Clinton. The Repubs do not want Clinton.

Comment by It's Not Me | 2008-06-23 08:18:30

He’s NOT the nominee. He’s the “presumptive” nominee. The votes haven’t been cast and won’t be cast until the August Convention. Hillary could still be the nominee should Obamarhoid IMPLODE between now and August. Hillary just “suspended” her campaign. She didn’t concede. She still retains her delegates.:)

From Clintons 4 McCain:

McCain ran as a Republican for an open seat in Arizona’s 1st congressional district. As a newcomer to the state, McCain was hit with repeated charges of being a carpetbagger. McCain responded to a voter making the charge with what a Phoenix Gazette columnist would later label as “the most devastating response to a potentially troublesome political issue I’ve ever heard”:

“Listen, pal. I spent 22 years in the Navy. My father was in the Navy. My grandfather was in the Navy. We in the military service tend to move a lot. We have to live in all parts of the country, all parts of the world. I wish I could have had the luxury, like you, of growing up and living and spending my entire life in a nice place like the First District of Arizona, but I was doing other things. As a matter of fact, when I think about it now, the place I lived longest in my life was Hanoi.

That’s when I lay it on thick — just like McCain did.

I generally say something like: Well while you were growing up in one place — my DAD was off defending America and keeping you safe so that YOU could live in one place all your life.

People in Western Mass were the absolute worst offenders — and yet these greedy pigs were pulling in money from the defense industries concentrated in that area.

So yes — I know where McCain the military brat is coming from.

When they came for the trade unionists,

When did the vice grip on reality take so quickly and so tightly. Was it in 2000 when we backed down about the votes? Is it when we looked the other way when all media outlets were placed in the hands of a tiny few? We have to be determined to make a difference. Determined to take a stand.

I’ve got to tell you folks that I tried to debate some people over at talk left (at least I think it was Talk Left) because I never understood the utter wrath against the telecoms. In my opinion, it wasn’t up to the telecoms to enforce the law. It was GW Bush and the executive branch’s responsibility. The onus is completely on Bush and Chaney and their minions.

I really don’t like the concept of spying on Americans and what I really didn’t/don’t like is that the Bush administration blatantly violated existing law. If they really needed this ability, and they don’t, they should have went through the proper channels from the get-go. After all they had a republican majority for many years and could get whatever they want.

The whole problem I had with wanting to prosecute the telecoms was that they were cooperating with the government. Our duly elected government that is in charge of enforcing the laws of the land. It really strikes me that the only reason people wanted to go after the telecoms was because they couldn’t go after Bush and his cronies. I think giving the telecoms immunity is not odious in any way. Everything else about the bill may be though. I think these people have got their priorities seriously out of order.

Actually, don’t worry about the media coverage too much. All this rock star stuff and adoration by media does not buy votes. it can actually turn people off. People are hurting especially in states like michigan and ohio. Things are bad out there. Filling the truck 4 times a month costs as much as the rent. In these times the hype does not help you. People actually looks at the candidate, not the sell job. They want to know how the candidate is going to solve the problems. Nobama’s stupid wife can go to talk shows all she wants. More her stupid face thrust into voters faces, better it is. That does not buy votes. The songs do not buy votes. Even the ads and the money does not buy votes?

In spite of all the money and ads, Hillary won OH TX PA IN WV KY SD. The turd won only NC, OR and MT. And NC was won by fraud.

What then gets the vote? I don’t know. Nobody knows. At some point one candidate connects and other does not. Even Bush connected better than Gore. Even though he marginally lost and had to steal the election.

Mccain will connect. Not to the extent that Hillary did, but he will. And he does not need to do as well as Hillary. He has all the bigots behind him.

One would have never imagined? Rush Limbaugh, the big fat idiot and his racially and religiously biased cronies would actually be there to rescue and protect from this great evil, while the great fourth estate whose job it is to do so has failed us.
