I would dearly love to see a Jewish, African-American woman as POTUS. It’s not race or gender that makes it for me though. It’s political beliefs that matter, and socialism is bad for everybody, (accept those high in government or high-level academia) especially poor people, of all races. Obama is a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist, no thanks.

His ‘Change’, ‘Hope’ and ‘Progress’ mantras are actually somewhat self-mocking. Making your own Obama posters is totally addicting.

I would also mention that the Democratic party used a very undemocratic process to elect him, and that he is a product of insider endorsements, superdelegate picks, un-democratic caucuses, and a rules committee that gave delegates to him and took them away from Hilary. If you believe in the democratic process, then you won’t be able to vote for the current Democratic nominee on principle.

If this pandering, corrupt politician manages to “fool” the people into electing him, I truly fear that any real advances on progressive issues and reform are going to get thrown under the bus in Mr Obama’s pursuit of the next election cycle.

WHY, after example after example that this man is devoid of integrity or a backbone on any issue do people still follow him?

Hope is that Democratic leadership will wake up before the convention but it appears to be unlikely because the people connecting the very apparent dots about this candidate are not being heard on a broad scale. No instead, we have the MSM telling people WHY we are resisting and STILL telling them wrong.

It’s not about supporting Hillary anymore, it’s about opposing a man without moral fiber who presents a clear and present danger to our country.

The decision to endorse BO this time also infuriated NARAL’s local and state chapters, who strongly disavowed the endorsement.

In short, a NARAL endorsement isn’t worth spit as a pro-choice bona fide.

There is also BO’s insulting and outrageous statement that a woman should make her decision about abortion in consultation with her “family” (blecch!) and her CLERGY!! (BIG FAT DOUBLE BLECCH!)

FWIW I automatically discount anyone who claims to be pro-choice but still wants to deliver moral lectures about abortion. F— off already. Hillary used to piss me off when she did it too, but in recent years she backed away from that, and good for her.

The “present” vote really was an accepted tactical measure in the Illinois senate although Obama did a crummy job explaining that. Usually it was done in a larger group but Obama was the sole several times and either solo or in a group of 6 or less voting present 36 times. There is almost always a floor statement on the record and when he was the lone present vote it was almost always constitutional.

Look whenever there was a claim made for or against one of our candidates I researched it. The Present votes sound bad but they are not, it didn’t mean undecided, Several papers have researched the votes and there was just one they felt might be him being unwilling to take a side for political reasons, just before he rab against Rush for US Rep. (Not this vote) One of the articles I remember was in the NY Times and it was called “It’s Not Just ‘Ayes’ and ‘Nays’”

Wouldn’t the politically expedient thing have been to tell the Muslim family he can’t be photographed with Muslims?

Wouldn’t the politically expedient thing have been to duck the Kyl-Lieberman vote so he could play it both ways with MoveOn and AIPAC?
