As far as I can see the mood is very good – Obama leads McCain in all of the State polls. The good people of Michiga, for example Flint, being more worried about future job prospects than how the Democrats selected their candidate. Goodbye Repukes. Small issues no longer worry real Democrats – they are more concerned about how to get America back to work.

They really still don’t get it:

1. You had 16 months to sell us Obama. If we didn’t buy him then, we are not buying him now.

2. You cannot insult us into voting for Obama. We have already been called every name in the book. What’s a few more insults going to do?

3. You cannot guilt-trip us into voting for Obama because we do not believe he represents our values or beliefs.

4. You cannot expect us to support Obama to “help” the Democratic Party because we believe that Obama is one of the biggest mistakes the Democratic Party has ever made.

5. You cannot frighten us into voting for Obama. We are strong, we are united. The only ones who are afraid are those trying to bully us into voting for Obama.

The Howler piece is a good reminder, not just of Obama’s Campaign Finance Flip Flop, but that the Media praised his original stance of pledging to accept public financing.

Moreover, the Howler points out the Media’s heavy criticism of Hillary for not making the same pledge. Now, the same Media is saying that the Flip Flop is no big deal, and will not matter to voters.

Obama is not the only one flip flopping. The MSM is flopping around right behind him. They praise Obama for his original position, and heap more praise on him when he changes it.

If McCain hadn’t alienated his base he would have been raising enough money that this wouldn’t have been an issue. Too many times we act like it’s a bad thing to change your mind based on new data. I don’t want inflexibility in my President. People are just angry that McCain is about to be Hilliaried by Obama.
