Since Obama came out and said his new style of campaigning will focus on issues and avoid the negative gotcha politics of the past and he has yet to address any issues except for a few broad brush generalized statements followed by crowds chanting yes we can and now he is using negative campaigning to accuse his opponent of future negative campaigning by falsely imputing statements that will never be said, is it proper to say the pot is calling the kettle black?

Comment by dpvegas | 2008-06-26 03:00:33

Well, he addressed FISA and look what that got him. Hee hee. He committed several gaffs last week trying to act like he’s going to campaign on the issues. Didn’t he say that about the primaries? And is it just me, or does it seem like every time he “tries” to address some issue, he gets it wrong? Every time?

I mean, he’s Mr. New Politics, the bright, clean, new guy, who’s gonna do the hopey-changy, yes-we-can, stuff. So, how is it he gets it all so wrong? So like the same-ol’, same-ol’ Washington stuff? And aren’t his hope-a-dopes getting a little bit cramped from all the pretzel twisting maneuvers they keep having to do in order to continue their unwavering adulation of their messiah?

Guess when all else fails, whip out the good, old, reliable race card.

Comment by lute | 2008-06-26 10:33:01

Smearing the opponent by making himself seem
a victim worked well for B.O. in the primary.

The NYT noted that our unifier hasn’t given Clinton

her to ask her donors to support him.

What a f*king jerk.

McCain should take the quote of Obama from the linked article and turn it around to:

“They’re going to try to make you afraid of me,” the presumptive Republican nominee said. ‘”He’s old and senile and he’s got a funny stance. And did I mention he’s lost his bearings?”

McCain has too much class to do that, and Obama has already accused McCain of losing his bearings. Obama refuses to engage in a true debate forum with McCain because he knows McCain possesses the quicker and sharper extemporaneous command of facts and reason.

Hey, guess who the latest “under the bus” victim is? Scarlett Johansson. Barry must have decided that her claiming they are e-mail buddies didn’t put him in the best light. He actually made the poor girl look like she’s living in some kind of fantasy world.

What a guy. Now go on Scarlett, wedge yourself in there between grandma and Reverend Wright. And don’t get too comfortable, because I have a feeling it’s going to be getting even more crowded very, very soon.

No no no, didn’t you catch Olbermann the other day? Obama CANT be an Elitist because “his father came from Kenya.” On the flip side, McCain MUST be an elitist because “his father was an Admiral.”

Get it now? Elitist attitudes are determined by BIRTH, not culture! Obama could ride around in limos eating arugala while his wife shops exclusively at organic food stores for just the right cheese assortment needed for the Lear jet flight to the Cannes Film Festival, and he still would not be an elitist because HIS FATHER CAME FROM KENYA.

And just in case this isnt enough, remember he was “raised by a single mom” on the “mean streets of Chicago” (it must be true, because Keith Told Me So.)

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-06-26 07:50:41

Olbermann has become a parody of himself.

As for elitist, it has nothing to do with race, birthplace, culture or money. Elitism is an attitude. And Obama has it. As does Olbermann who thinks his rants are anything more than the temper tantrums of a pathetic hack.

Olbermann wants to see the worst hack in the world he only needs a mirror.

Comment by mimi | 2008-06-26 08:52:39

Did Keith not read the part about Obama Sr. abandoning Barack at the age of 2? And that Barck Jr. had virtually no contact with his father?

Comment by fran | 2008-06-26 08:48:02

That’s why he stopped debating Hillary. Every time they had a debate, people got to see for themselves who was actually in command of the issues and was a true leader (and not an “evil monster.”) After the debates, his numbers always went down. He can’t maintain the Messiah illusion when people actually listen to him talk about substantial concerns. So what does he do? He avoids it altogether–now, refusing to join McCain in Town Halls around the country. New politics? Yea, new in the sense that reality doesn’t seem to matter–only marketing.

This race card from Sibelius is disgusting. He is going to bring the whole Party down to his level. I guess we need a “Code Book Manual” so we don’t accidentally blurt out something like “candy!” and find out it’s racist.

Add “fairy tale,” “inexperienced,” and “liberal” to the manual. (Or ANY criticism of BO). This gets more farcical by the day.

Comment by JAY in Los Angeles | 2008-06-26 02:50:48

I really think this is nothing more than their attempt to diffuse the Wright issue before it rears it’s ugly head again.

They’re trying to make it untenable to ask, “Why’d you stay in that church for 20 years?”

Let’s make it so that they can’t avoid this question, shall we?

Comment by Fredster | 2008-06-26 02:52:38

Only with Obama can someone take the phrase “he’s not qualified” and turn it into a racial issue. Jeebus!

Comment by Uppity | 2008-06-26 08:20:45

I personally think the incessant use of the race card is great. It pisses off the electorate. I am hoping to see them use it on TV every single day until people just trip over each other on November 4 to shut these race baiters up. Seriously, you should be glad he uses the “victim” crap every time he gets caught looking like all the things he is: A liar, a fool, a duplicitous panderer, a buddy with terrorists, a Jew hater, a Woman hater, a White Person hater, inept, and an inexperienced manchild chicago thug with issues.

Comment by Jeremiah God Damn AmeriKKKa Wright | 2008-06-26 02:58:22

The only hope he has of becoming president is to ensure that he is not scrutinized closely.

The use of the race card is done every time they get a little uncomfortable with any potential scrutiny.

The overuse of the racecard is going to do him in.

You cant keep using the race card distraction everytime you are asked to stay substantive and explain your issues.

You cant use the race card to substitue for character, wisdom, judgement, and qualifications.

race baiting is no better than racism.

In fact i believe its worse.

Racism is the result of ignorance.

Racebaiting is the result of understanding exactly how to manipulate racism to your advantage.

Comment by JoseyJ | 2008-06-26 06:05:59

>>>>Racebaiting is the result of understanding exactly how to manipulate racism to your advantage.

Exactly!!
“The Uniter” is so low on substance that he couldn’t win the nomination without dividing the party by falsely accusing the Clintons of racism.
And the A-list left bloggers went along with it!! With all the race-baiting going on at DK, TPM and other Obama blogs, I’m wondering if many of the race-baiting commenters were Trinity members.

So now we have a country that believes the Clintons historical statements were racially motivated.

When Obama APOLOGIZES for intentionally allowing their comments to be distorted as racist, I may consider voting for him.
Since Obama doesn’t apologize, it’s doubtful I’ll be removing my “Democrats for McCain” bumpersticker.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, but sometimes a few words say a hell of a lot!

We have an AA blog telling us Obama is a ‘calculated and cynical’ S.O.B.:

Gotta admire Brotha Barack for getting all his ducks in a row and stealing prominent Jewish fundraisers like David Geffen and George Soros away from Hillary. He plays political chess masterfully and executes his moves deftly. Anybody who still believes that the brotha wasn’t planning a run for President from the moment he stepped on the national stage in 2004 is a damn fool. This shit didn’t just happen, it was methodically planned like a new Microsoft product launch. His flacking for Israel and his votes on the Senate floor are as calculated and cynical as every word in the Audacity of Hope.

To say Hillary (or Bill) doesn’t care about AA’s is the biggest line of sh*t. Bill’s office is located in Harlem. This AA blogger seems to be speaking code to AAs to expect hands out if Obama is elected:

Think STRATEGICALLY!

Obviously Obama would have no choice but to help the black folks out if he becomes president. Otherwise, we’d all bash him. Hillary could care less about us and she doesn’t have to since she’s white.

Look, if you really think Hillary would be better for us than Obama, then support her. That’s your choice. But just remember, we’re never going to get this chance again in our lifetime, having a bro in the whitehouse, using his power to help uplift our community, all while white people swoon over him!

(read: Whites voting for Obama are SUCKERS!)

What does “if you think Hillary would be better for us” mean? Aren’t all people supposed to be equal? Or, is he expecting favoritism based upon race? Reparations maybe?

Plus:

Obama is a manufactured leader who has allowed himself to be advanced by a cabal of media elites and “DLC centrist” political actors determined to choose an alternative to Hillary Rodham Clinton. Those of us in the progressive black blogosphere have ample reasons to be suspicious of brotha Barack. While it is important to examine what a politician stands for, it is just as important to examine who stands behind them pulling the strings.

At least he admits Obama is a puppet, and there is a puppet master elsewhere pulling Obama’s strings.

Obviously, they haven’t figured out yet that Obama is not as progressive as they thought when they voted for him in the primary.

The AAs better be prepared when they figure out Obama’s REAL agenda.

You people are pathetic. She lost, get over it.

And this stupid white american outrage of the so called “race card” is midirected. Instead, you should be outraged about the racism among white americans. Where was the outrage when PA voters said race was an issue, huh? That’s what I thought. Yet, you act as if you are upset that the race card is used. I take it that any time a person wants to tackle the issue of racism in America, that is using the race card.

So, the question becomes–how can one address racism without being accused of using the race card?

Comment by MaryPat | 2008-06-26 04:25:11

They are not “addressing” racism–they are USING racism, in a very calculated and manipulative way, to give Obama an advantage. It is all about portraying him as a victim, as someone who is being treated unfairly solely because of his race. The fact that both Sebelius and Obama himself have tried to undermine the validity of the inexperience argument by mentioning it in the same breath as his race is outrageous. That IS playing the race card. One has nothing to do with the other–Obama is woefully inexperienced, and his being black doesn’t, and shouldn’t, innoculate him from that criticism.

Ferraro was right. A white man with Barry’s resume would have been laughed off the national political stage months ago. But then it’s “racist” to say that, isn’t it?

Comment by Paul F. Villarreal | 2008-06-26 08:28:14

Ferraro nailed it, 100%. If BarDork were not black his bony behind would be back in Chi-town or the Senate already.

Affirmative. Action. Candidacy.

And the bad kind of affirmative action, too. The ‘you’re not qualified,’ ‘quota’ kind.

Comment by fran | 2008-06-26 09:01:28

Ferraro was right. A white man with Barry’s resume would have been laughed off the national political stage months ago. But then it’s “racist” to say that, isn’t it?

Can you imagine if a woman had run for president with O’s resume?? I wonder if they would’ve even given her a press conference to announce before ignoring her completing. It’s all such a sham, and that’s why he’s flopping around like a fish now–he’s way over his head.

Comment by mimi | 2008-06-26 09:08:51

Thank you MaryPat!

Big difference between ‘addressing’ racism and ‘exploiting’ it.

But notice how every poster continues to do this. If I were supporting BO because I thought he stood for something but was up against racism, I would every chance I got, be speaking about the merits of his platform and his leadership ability.

But do Obama supporters do this? No! Insead, they keep insisting that race is the only reason behind white people not supporting him. They simply can’t defend his candidacy beyond that.

There’s nothing racist about not wanting to support a candidate that you believe won’t make a good president because he’s given you a multitutde of reasons to doubt his character, and his preparedness for the job.

So play the race card all you want.

All oObama is doing is trivializing real racism to the detriment of the AA community.

Comment by Anee | 2008-06-26 13:00:33

Ob is destroying every AAs chance of ever running for president again.

Isn’t it racist for AAs to only vote for OB because he is black?

We have seen, thanks to OB, that AAs are very racist.

I thought this article was about Kathleen Sebelius—not Hillary Clinton. You’re the one bringing her into it.
Maybe people aren’t thinking about race so much any more, because the average American is just trying to survive from day to day. I’m more worried about how I’m going to make my house payment this month—not whether or not a black man is elected president. Now, call me a racist. I guess people who are still in college with Mommy and Daddy supporting them wouldn’t be able to understand what I’m talking about.

Comment by John | 2008-06-26 07:21:36

You and Stick Man are a joke. Tell Barry that Scarlett Johanson heard from Larry Sinclair that Barry’s Johnson ain’t up to par and that the hook-up is off. Barry will have to settle for the email correspondence instead.

Hey, we just effed over 5 million voters. But get over it.

saying people are racist if they don’t vote

A. She did not lose. She was the popular vote winner. He was an engineered, selected candidate.

B. This has nothing to do with Hillary. It is all about the Obama. Of all the candidates running, he was the last on my list, even early on. He is unqualified, arrogant, hypocritical, and lacks judgment (for starters).

If you can’t see the difference between injecting race into every situation for your advantage vs. being a real leader that fights for equality and elevating the public dialogue, then read some Martin Luther King Jr. or Ghandi. Obama is an empty shell using gimmicks to get ahead.

Comment by martin | 2008-06-26 04:36:21

It is not racism if I judge Obama by the content of his character instead of the color of his skin. I find his character to be sorely lacking and deficient in comparison to all other opponents of his party he has faced in the primaries, and also as the presumptive nominee in comparison to the presumptive nominee of most of the other parties.

Comment by angry centrist | 2008-06-26 05:03:40

I think that the Obama campaign is going to try and play on white guilt for the general election. Unfortunately for them, white guilt only works with far left liberals. Getting 90% of the black vote got him the nomination, but blacks only make up about 13% of the electorate which won’t do them any good in the general election.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-06-26 07:00:37

You’re right. The race card will backfire on him in the GE. He’s going to find that the “white guilt” isn’t as prevalent as he thinks it is.

Hmmm. Interesting document. If that is Stanley Ann Dunham’s actual birth date, that means she was 17 when Barack was born. On this application she states she is 16 and unemployed, which means she wouldn’t be considered an Emancipated Minor in most states when she got pregnant. That might mean that her parents had the legal right to send her off somewhere “quiet” to have her baby.

Can anyone make the connection for me as to how she supposedly met Barack Sr. in a college class when she was 16 or just barely 17?

Comment by JoseyJ | 2008-06-26 08:44:31

Obama’s mother was born 11/29/42.
Obama was born 8/4/61.

It appears Obama’s mother was 18 when Obama was born – 6 months after she married his father.

Have you seen a marriage certificate? I have not seen any confirmation there was even a piece of paper from city hall.

Obama’s arrogance and elitism is on full display with his remarks that Evangelicals “haven’t been reading their Bibles.” Who made Obama God??
Obama sounds like Iranian Mullahs – and very INAPPROPRIATE remark from a presidential candidate.
But very appropriate from a member of Trinity Church indoctrinated for 20 years with hatemongering and judgmental attitude – rather than absorbing the teachings of Jesus – love, tolerance, humility, etc.

BOBO is one of the biggest hypocrites EVER.

He managed to land in a spot on the globe — Hawaii where it was an advantage to be “of color” — a brown kid in Hawaii is the most dominate individual IN Hawaii. He would basically go unnoticed — big fricking deal — he is brown. He was damned lucky to be brown in Hawaii — he didn’t stick out like us blond white kids.

Anyone who falls for his “race card” game is a damned fool. So — GOP are you going to let BOBO get away with playing you guys for the biggest suckers in town?

We know he was also at an advantage because his grandparents were well off and he went to the MOST EXPENSIVE high school in the islands.

Now the rat-bas*ard has the nerve to play the race card — he is using the AA community. He is a user of the worst kind.

I certainly hope that KARMA wakes up and bites his self centered butt — pretty damned quickly!!!

OK — it is now up to the GOP — how are you guys going to deal with the racist Obama?

I’m an Independent — so I want to see you smart guys in the GOP use the truth to get Obama to shut the f*ck up about his brown skin.

And stupid BOBO thinks a joint appearance with Hillary is going to make us all come together and worship at his feet.

I DON’T THINK SO — in fact

I don’t see the GOP doing anything. I have talked to some Republicans who think losing the election to Obama will allow the Republicans to re-build as Obama will be dropping the ball.

I am not going to be a fool and wait on the dock for the Swiftboat to come.

There’s a reason for Obama’s arrogance. He’s almost certain that he will win. This is why the Dem Party dissed it’s base.

They wanted to turn us off so we’d be so disgusted we’d stay home. They’re banking on Dmecorats to be unable to vote Republican.

Which is why I finally realized I had no alternative.

If the Swiftboat comes, I’ll be happy.

But I don’t think it’s going to come.

And you know what? This is the smart move.

Any president now is going to have a horrible time. Once Obama fucks up royally, the Repubs can return to their dominance over the WH.

I hope this is not true. But it wouldn’t surprise me if it was.

Is a possible for a black man to run for president who is not qualified?

Obama and his people seem to think it was possible to be a woman and not be qualified to be president. Remember all the slams against Hillary for her minor first lady experience and her feckless senatorial work?

These obama people are without shame!

Comment by NY still loves Hillary | 2008-06-26 06:37:42

I don’t believe that Obama is saying a black man can’t be unqualified. I believe that he is saying he cannot be considered to be unqualified for anything, he cannot be considered to make poor associations or choices, and basically he cannot be denied.

I’m quite sure if a qualified AA stood up to Obama he would quickly call that person unqualified (and possibly even racist; he is a 1 Trick Pony).

Comment by calli not your sweeti | 2008-06-26 07:07:47

Well, Sebelius is talking the standard Obama playbook. “If we lose by 10 points in Kansas we win!” I love the Obama way to win. Let me guess, the voting machines are going to be rigged in VA and GA and maybe another key state – oh, maybe Michigan? Obama only wins elections by cheating. By the way, has Obama released his “real” birth certificate yet?

Comment by John | 2008-06-26 07:28:19

That’s a great liberal line- “if we come close, we win!” So on election day in November, after Obama has lost the Presidency by 9 points and 200 electoral votes, the liberals will wax poetic about how Historical Obama’s campaign was and how it was a Wonderful First Step toward a Brighter Future, and how Maybe Next Time We’ll Win It All.

At least it would be better than four years of being told how racist we all were for denying Saint Barack.

Either way, I’m gagging in advance.

Comment by Paul F. Villarreal | 2008-06-26 07:10:09

Thanks for this, PaganPower. More great work from you.

As has been the case from Day 1 of Obama’s pathetic, illegitimate campaign, the race card IS constantly played because THAT IS ALL THAT Stick Man has. He has no experience, he has the most toxic associations one could imagine (including the woman whom he chose to be his wife) and he is a demonstrated liar.

So when all else fails, then, by golly, GO TO THE RACE CARD and start working on that Latte Liberal white guilt BS and try to both silence your opponents and stir up some black anger.

I guess this is the ‘careful’ approach to courting AA votes that the LA Times recently pointed out the Bambi camp would be using?

About as subtle as a flapjack to the head.

This guy and his coterie are the biggest effing jokes and embarrassments I can ever recall, particularly as regards people who are supposed to be taken seriously.

Pelosi leads a 12% approval Congress. Sir Swiftboat is going around telling people to vote for BaJoke simply because Bambi is black. Biden has major credibility questions dating back decades and has made statements which are suspect themselves as regards racial sensitivity. Judas is, well, Judas Richardson.

All of these people are failures and also-rans, including McCaskill. Why ANYBODY would take any of their ramblings seriously is beyond me.

Welcome to YOUR Democratic Party, post-coup, 2008.

The superstructure for this barren, decrepit edifice is so flimsy and frail that it could rightly be called “Bambian.”

And due to its lack of strength, it will (and already has begun to) fall upon itself. It cannot and will not last. Even if Disney Deer is elected his ascendancy, of itself, will begin to usher in a GOP resurgence that would likely begin to arrive in the 2010 election. He and his policies are that radical, and the people around him are that incompetent and wanting.

Barack is a loser surrounded by many, many other losers from various walks of life.

In the end, losers lose. Barack’s latest failure is coming, as is the most recent failure for his elitist coup friends in both the party’s upper reaches and in the MSM.

So cue the “Bobby Rush 2000″ music; it won’t be long now.

Comment by Perry Logan | 2008-06-26 07:15:22

I have a problem with your statement that Obama’s policies would be radical.

If the Obama is radical…
why did he call for a continuation of the Cuba travel ban last week?
Why are the biggest corporate money people financing his campaign?
Why did the unions mainly back his opponent, Clinton?
Why is he so uncritically supportive of Israel?
Etc.

Comment by Paul F. Villarreal | 2008-06-26 07:26:28

Oh, you mean his policy positions for the week?

Like the 1996 survey issue, the NAFTA reversal, the public financing reversal, the FISA move, etc., Obama HAS no real positions.

I could care less what you ‘have a problem with,’ astrotroll. Don’t even try to play your stupid Jedi Mind Trick games with me.

Once you tried to say he ‘uncritically supports Israel’ you were exposed as a gill-having creature who is now flopping about on terra firma. Who do you think you’re kidding? There is a reason Hamas backs Bambi. There is a reason why he’s pals with Khalidi. There is a reason why Michelle looked awful in her coke-bottle glasses while Bambi was hanging with Edward Said in that picture which is on many places around the internet and I have in my Michelle video.

And the reason AIN’T because Bambi ‘uncritically supports Israel.’

Seriously, why do they even pay you guys? You people are an embarrassment to the word ‘propaganda.’ All that has to be done to send you scurrying is to merely throw the lightswitch and the cockroaches scatter.

Wannabe Che is a radical. Does he hide it better than “Whitey?” Sure he does. That is why he is The Manchurian Candidate, you know, because there is an element of subterfuge involved.

But spare me your flacid rapier thrusts. Obambi HAS no real positions, we all know that.

At least not until he can be elected and the world can find out why he hearts black liberation theologists, domestic terrorists, hate speakers, Che and communists like Frank Marshall Davis.

Save the hopium; no one is buying that crap here.

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-06-26 09:31:30

I agree. He’s anything but radical, and he’s upsetting the boyz a lot this week. LOL* More to come, too.

The Black Agenda Report has another scathing article on how he is the corporate guy. The article said: “I wonder if we can talk Hillary into fighting this on the floor?”

I laughed. Even they know she’s more truly progressive.

The Boyz got tricked this year by their own false sense of racial guilt and their denied sexism.

They bought the wrong ne if they wanted someone with the spine to stand up against wrong-headed conservative ideas.

Comment by John | 2008-06-26 07:11:13

I’ve heard this tactic used again and again by Obama and his surrogates- tell the voters what to expect by way of attack, to blunt the attacks when they come. I really don’t think it’s going to work. All it does is put the attack line out there earlier and more often than the GOP had planned. If you can’t even tune to Air Obama Radio or MSNBC without hearing the case against Barack Obama, that’s not helpful to the Obama campaign.

But the biggest reason why the strategy won’t work is because a lot of the “attack lines” just happen to be true. “They’ll tell you I’m inexperienced, they’ll tell you I have suspicious friends, they’ll tell you I ran a dirty campaign and I’ll do anything to win…” yes, and I will nod in agreement with “them.”
What is your ANSWER to these charges, other than to smile and tell me I’m being bamboozled? Because that’s no answer at all.

Comment by Peggy Sue | 2008-06-26 07:23:12

He cannot be criticized, he cannot be denied, he cannot be considered anything but presidential without reminding everyone that race is the issue. The only difference now is that Obama made the charge rather than the Obamatrons, who have been using this card for months, ad nauseum.

It’s the same game of deflection that’s been going on all along. Cry race to deflect inconsistencies in positions. Cry race to deflect vague or wrong-headed solutions. Cry race to deflect anything that might suggest that sleazy ties to Chicago politics and thuggish associations could tarnish Obama’s manufactured image.

The hand has been overplayed. They lost me at hello.

Wake up America.

So, let’s take stock of where we’ve been and where we are now. First, the sweeties tried to debate us. Yes, they came with their personal power dynamics themed speeches about how we can all get along as long as we listened to them and stopped being such belligerent idiots. That didn’t work so well. Then they tried the guilt trips. If we didn’t

vote for Obama, the forced pregnancy police were going to visit women at the workplace and subject everyone to pelvic exams. But we pointed out that the SCOTUS already has enough votes to overturn Roe without any help from us. Besides, with Obama now supporting Steny Hoyer’s FISA legislation, Roe is not the only thing we have to worry about with the Supreme Court and Obama is not the guy to save it.

The most recent tactic to be used against us is something we researchers use occasionally. It’s called Learned Helplessness. We sometimes induce this in lab rats in order to test anti-depressant drugs. In short, the rat is subjected to a stressful situation, like putting it in a tank of water and making it think it’s about to drown. This situation is one that it can’t resolve or relieve. Do this for n times and then measure how much the rat is depressed by putting it the corner of a square, for example, and measure how long it takes for the rat to wander out of it. The efficacy of the drug is related to how quickly the rat leaves the corner. Really depressed rats just sit there. And sit there. They have become passive against what they see as overwhelming helplessness, or so we think because, after all, no rat has ever told us how suicidal it is.

Equating criticism that he’s unqualified with the race card is mimicking what Obama’s campaign and the DNC gang is talking about when they say that Obama suffered equally from racism as Hillary did from sexism.

That is a very short-term thinking strategy that harms the AA community more than helps Obama. First of all, it makes everyone bristle in disagreement. All people, regardless of race, may be evaluated based on qualifications. Second, the notion that he is not open to evaluation means that he KNOWS he cannot withstand scrutiny. That must make his AA supporters cringe. Third, it implies to the AA community that they, too, need never meet qualifications. If Obama doesn’t need to, then they don’t need to.

Once again, Obama sets back AA progress by reinforcing negative stereotypes.

And he’s become, through his surrogate, nothing more than the Affirmative Action guy we HAD to hire.

Let Obama and his playmates play the race card. Truth is that is all he can play. Seems the values he claims his mother instilled in him are values only the Communist,Anti-American,Jew hating peons know how to play.

Obama’s friends and surroundings speak with much more authority than him playing the race card.

People play the race card because they have no moral values….People with morals wouldn’t have accepted a tainted nomination neither would a moral person lie to America…

Obama has one thing in mind for America and he has already accomplished a big part of it…Divide and Destroy is Obama’s mission…

Let the Arab lying ass play the race card but he better find a way to prove he has a legit birth certificate…
His voting record shows why he has to play the race card….The ass-hole passed on voting 130 times out of 210 ….Barky knows nothing but playing the race card…

Plus he continues to bitch about Iraq but he continues to vote to fund the war.

The Stimulus payment he didn’t vote for us to get…

He said a few days ago he will vote for us to have another payment…

Page 102 in his book Audacity of Hope he claims he loves Town Hall meetings. Claims he has had 39 but refuses to meet McCain in any Town Hall meetings.

Claims to have voted against the War but he didn’t vote for or against….

He lies on Mccain wanting to keep troops in Iraq for 100 yrs. McCain said we “COULD be there 100 yrs.but in a peace keeping operation…Obama said the same thing…

So what else can he play except the race card? Nothing!

Not only the race card but they are sprinting away from the title “liberal”. How insane is it that the DNC continues to get behind candidates with extreme liberal voting records, only to attempt to run from that record. But it speaks for itself.

I am moderately liberal and proud of it no matter how popular or unpopular it makes me.

Check out the whole article we posted WITH the pic @
HillaryGreenMountain.ORG

“Obama told a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. “We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid.

“They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”

Now, every single person who knows a bit about politics and American society knows that if Republicans can make one gigantic mistake, it’s for them to play the race card. They may have gotten away with such an approach 30 or 40 years ago, but it would be suicide today. We all know that.

But that does not stop Obama from accusing Republicans of using his race against him nonetheless. It’s a typical sign of Obama’s ‘audacity’ (not to hope, but to vilify your opponents) and ‘new kind of politics.’ Accuse of opponents of racism, simply because they dare not vote for a black guy.”

The guy who wrote this is from the NETHERLANDS. You think the world laughed at us because of Good Ol’ GW? Wait til they get a load of “HIM”.

Obama and his flunkies used that card to great effect while courting the AA community by painting the Clinton’s and all who support them as racist. He silenced the media using white guilt.
What Obama HAS not counted on was the backlash!
No One likes to be called a racist, ( Well maybe the REAL racist do ).

This will come back to bite him on his boney ass! What he and his supporters have succeeded in doing is to divide this country along racial lines. On one side you have the White, Hispanic and Asian’s that are ANGRY at being labeled racist and on the other you have Rich, White super liberal, AA’s and college kids.
Who do you think will win this battle?

Comment by AnninCa | 2008-06-26 11:39:26

I agree. I am deeply offended by the accusation of racism where none is intended or exists.

The statement today by the gov. that statement implying he is not qualified is veiled racism is very wrong-headed. It will trigger more backlash.

Since when is vetting someone’s experience and judgment racism?

Pelosi’s emphasis upon his good judgment blew me away yesterday. After Wright, any politician who will go along with that nonsense with a straight face is clearly entirely too used to lying to the public.

Of course, all that botox must help. She can’t express much on her face anymore anyway.

Nobody is picking up on the dark association being played on with the Obama card?

Remember the “Most Wanted Iraqis” deck issued by U.S. Central Command to coalition forces, featuring Saddam Hussein on the Ace of Spades?

Maybe somebody will get ambitious and fill out the entire set. Some democrats seem to be identifying enough former friends as enemies to make that entirely feasible.

Does anyone here honestly believe that “a spade’s a spade” isn’t a racist comment? Or that playing on an unconscious association with the “Most Wanted” deck isn’t indicative of demonization?

So, who’s surprised? We’ve also seen the front-running democratic candidate enthusiastically compared with Adolph Hitler–and his supporters, by implication, with his brainwashed followers.

How rational is that? What it reminds me of is the political propaganda and demonization that very era.

Comment by Emma | 2008-06-26 14:00:37

“calling a spade a spade” is not a racist saying.

However, associating the word “spade” with a black man is racist. There is a history of calling African Americans “spades”, just like calling African Americans n***** and other offensive racial terms. You should reconsider this and I, as an HRC supporter, strongly urge you to stop using it. It is racist and offensive, no matter your intent.

What is so telling about this is the following:

1. I am not now nor have I ever been on probation or parole from the State of Delaware.

2. I have not ever been charged with, tried nor convicted of any crime in the state of Delaware

3. The information contained in this letter does not match the case number indicated on the court documents dated June 23, 2008 from the “alleged” warrant used to arrest me by DC Metro Police on June 18, 2008.

I am not on any probation or any parole from any State or Jurisdiction of any kind nor have I been since my Colorado Parole was discharged on May 5, 2000.

It is just amazing how I am being targeted with non-stop manufactured warrants and charges which only surfaced after I began making public my claims against Barack Obama.

Even more interesting is Social Securities letter being dated the exact same dates that the DC Metro Police and the National Press Club security director begin organizing their plan to take me into custody on a non-existent “Fugitive from Justice” warrant.

THIS ACTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COLORADO MATTER AS PER SSA OWN PROCEDURES. SO ANY CLAIMS BY OTHER BLOGGERS TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ACTION ARE NOTHING MORE THAN THEIR TRYING TO APPEAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN THEY ARE. THIS ACTION WAS DONE BY OFFICIALS CONNECTED TO THE OBAMA CAMP AND THE DATE OF THE SSA LETTER SUPPORTS THIS.
