What Are They Afraid Of?
By Ani on June 28, 2008 at 10:30 PM in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean, MSNBC, Media Bias, Nancy Pelosi, Obamedia, Race Card
Now that Governor Sebelius has joined the parade of Democratic party powerful carrying the water for the new Obama/DNC talking point that ‘the Republicans are going to try to make you afraid of voting for Obama because of his race,’ it makes one wonder to whom she is actually appealing with these comments.
Is it a caution to voters on the fence, or a veiled threat to Hillary supporters? Watch out: you disaffected Democrats risk being branded racist if you don’t come back into the fold and vote for the chosen ‘messiah.’
It is odd that they would pull this rabbit out of the hat so early if it were aimed at anyone but the portion of Clinton’s 18 million voters who have made it clear they will, under no circumstances, vote for Senator Obama in November. They are talking to us, the PUMA people; the Just Say No Deal people.
I am not afraid of Senator Obama because of his race. I am afraid of him because I haven’t a clue what he stands for. He is presented as the candidate of change. He truly is – the candidate of changing his mind. These past weeks, he has capitulated, reneged, reversed and waffled on just about every idea or policy he campaigned on.
Anyone paying attention to this nominating contest is painfully aware of the disgusting misogyny and ridicule leveled at Hillary Clinton during this race. Back in February, I asked the heads of MSNBC/NBC why they were pushing so hard to have me vote for Senator Obama.
I get very suspicious when someone is making such a strong case for the weaker candidate. What are they afraid of? We know that NBC is owned by General Electric. I understand GE does business with Iran and certainly Senator Obama is friendlier to Iran than Hillary is. Network news divisions, part of the big business wheel, are therefore going to be much friendlier to Senator Obama, who spent a large part of his campaign trashing the accomplishments of the Clinton/Gore administration, instead constantly praising the disastrous Reaganomics. So when we ask, what is big business afraid of? Obviously, they are not afraid of Senator Obama.
Speaker Pelosi feigns ignorance to the sexism in this campaign while exhibiting blatant favoritism to Senator Obama. Howard Dean gets on TV in March to protect Obama from what he calls “race-baiting” but lets Hillary Clinton be excoriated daily in the media without comment – then finally mentions sexism, as an afterthought to appease Senator Clinton’s voters after she’s out of the race. Dean further forbids there to be any more debates after Senator Obama performs horribly on ABC in April before a viewing audience of 11 million. Senator Kennedy discourages the thought of Hillary as a running mate, because Obama needs someone with nobler aspirations for the American people. Is he joking? Senator John Kerry states that her universal health care plan is a non-starter, dead on arrival. Donna Brazile feigning neutrality as a news commentator, privately sends demoralizing emails to Hillary’s supporters, asking them to ‘stop the hate,’ all the while fawning over Senator Obama with nary a good word for Clinton.
This begs the question, what is the DNC leadership so afraid of? Or whom?
Hillary Clinton has publicly stated she is not running for President for fame, wealth or vanity. She already has more celebrity than she knows what to do with. Now 60, she and her husband have achieved the American dream and are millionaires many times over. Is it then remotely possibly that this woman, who has shown herself to be nothing less than Joan of Arc in a pantsuit, actually wants to clean house?
The fact that Obama is characterized as the candidate of ‘change,’ yet is protected at every turn by the old guard of the party, makes me think they simply don’t want their party to be over. As House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi was a bulldog, taking President Bush to task at every opportunity. Naturally, when all she could do was bluster because the Democratic minority was basically powerless to affect any change, she landed her punches.
When Democrats regained control of Congress in 2006, and she became the first Woman Speaker, her tune completely changed: “Impeachment is off the table.” Why?
With the exception of some truly honorable public servants in our legislature, lately I have come to believe that the enmity between Democrats and Republicans is so much posturing. Party insiders, including Senator Obama, scream loudly on the Senate floor, yet kick the can down the road, without passing effective legislation that will really be of assistance to those most in need of it.
Scary smart, Senator Clinton knows – just by virtue of the crap sandwich she has had to eat every day on the campaign trail – that the bar would be set ridiculously high for the first woman President. She is walking into one of the biggest messes left behind by any administration. Who in their right mind would make the attempt unless she really intended to roll up her sleeves and get ‘er done?
According to Marc Armbinder, at a meeting of Hillary’s fundraisers last night, Obama was asked if he would accept a roll call vote at the Convention. His response, according to a participant: “Hillary and I are going to negotiate this thing and talk about it, and obviously we’re going to do what is right for the party. We’re all going to make sure we agree.” Obama is going to do what’s best for Obama. Does he fear a roll call?
Obama and the DNC have also taken to threatening us with the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, reactionary SCOTUS appointments, and a “100 year war in Iraq” in order to force our hands and get us to vote for the chosen one. Talk about employing the nuclear option. As a fellow traveler so eloquently put it, “the beatings will continue until morale improves.”
So when Senator Obama and the DNC try to make you afraid, ask yourselves why are they afraid?

They are afraid of a little kitty called PUMA.

Great site, thanks.
Hey I wonder if they call him “Dances with Ellen”?
My apologies for the very lame joke above.
I liked it!
Maybe they could call him “Bowls like Sh*t”?
Great Site.
Although not of Native American Ancestry, the colors, customs, prayers and symbols of Native Americans have always resonated strongly for me.
The Website is gorgeous and filled with info. I have bookmarked it so I can visit often.
Thanks for sharing this.
Here kitty kitty…
GRRRRRRRRRRRROW
I am PUMA hear me ROAR in numbers too great to ignore.
I am PUMA!

Hey — where is Obama’s real, valid birth certificate?
This is a Constitutional Question.
Duck: quack quack quack go back to your cage so that BHO can continue to manipulate your around.
Hey – it’s not always about you. Don’t flatter yourself that she’s talking to PUMA and the like. She’s talking to swing voters. You guys have already made your minds up.
By “She” you mean Gov. Sebelious? if so, “she” has no clue who is she talking to. She’s just repeating like a parrot BHO talking points. She should also dismount from her high horse… she is not half as good as she think she is. Her military family took her far enough.
Has anyone seen Sebelius in Vogue’s magazine in February?
Both she and Gov. Sarah Palin (R) appeared in an article. Sebelius must think she’s queen with her pompous Oscar de la Renta dress….

Oh boy….
No wonder women have trouble being taken seriously in politics. When’s the last time you saw a male governor posing in tuxes for GQ, calling it “an extraordinary day,” and reveaing that he prefers Armani over other designers? Ed Rendell, maybe?
I can’t believe this woman is being touted as VP material. She is the reason a qualified woman like Hillary runs and draws more notice for her pantsuits, hairstyle, and cleavage than for her intelligence and strength.
“Oh boy” is right…
As a fellow traveler so eloquently put it, “the beatings will continue until morale improves.”
Best line of the day, that’s the part I don’t get, for such smart people they think that they can keep trashing Hillary, Bill and their supporters and beat us into submission.
As Obama stonewalls on uncertified birth certificate, official doubts mount
June 28, 2008
We’re still waiting!
BOBO was much more forthcoming with his tax returns. But then BOBO had something to gain politically by posting his tax returns.
We have been bamboozled. lThe Republicans set this up so they could get Obamba nominated knowing darn well that they will whip his ass in November with all the dirt they have on him. A Republican client of mine told me last summer that Republicans were going to switch to Democrats to make sure Obama got the nomination. That is exactly what they did. Why do you think he won all the red states! It was easy and with the help of the DNC, because Dean and Kerry hate the Clintons. George Soros wants his buddy John McCain to be president. If you look at George Soros’contributions you will see that he only donates to Democrats and one Republican, John McCain. Hillary knows this, that’s why she only suspended her campaign and kept her delegates. She is buying her time hoping that all his dirty laundry gets aired before the convention. WE have to help get him vetted before it’s too late!
nice try caligirl, but we arn’t buying it.
I agree! we have been bambozzled.
Oh, caligirl. We’re not here because we’re gullible or because we fell for the latest Republican scam. We’re here because we believe in something stronger than party loyalty at all cost. We’re here because we believe in fairness, which is at the core of Democratic ideals. Finally, some of us are voting for John McCain not because we think he’ll make a fine president, we’re voting for John McCain to piss you off. Get over it!
That may be so caligirl, but even if it is, we may be faced with the prospect of McCain or Obama in November. Given that choice, I’ll take McCain. He has some semblance of integrity, where BO is a total fraud and has none.
This farce of a candidate couldn’t have been foisted on us were it not for the current circumstances in the country. We will not forget or let those who are responsible off the hook.
Obama himself invited the Democrats for a Day to disrupt the nomination process so he could be selected; and even that didn’t do it, the DNC Rules Committee and Howard Dean still had to steal it for him.
I agree that between the choices of McCain and Obama, I’ll have no hesitation in voting for McCain; and I’ll never forget who destroyed the chance to put a qualified, compassionate, hard-working woman in the White House to clean up the mess Bush has left. Obama would only add to the problems Bush has created.
If I am a racist because I think Obama is unqualified, and has a Marxist ideology, is a flip flopper without peer, and has radical ties to Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Farrakhan, and has Nation of Islam on his staff, and was part of the “Pay to Play” politics of Chicago and IL, Well then yes, I am a RACIST.
And, I will say it loud and PROUD.
PROUD TO BE A RACIST AGAINST OBAMA!
The funny thing is that you think he’s a Communist and the author of this post thinks he’s part of the business-elite right-wing network. Whatever. Intellectual coherence has never been this group’s strong suit.
And being anything other than an empty suit and a blank slate has never been Obama’s strong suit. When he presents himself as having different beliefs and policies to every different group he meets with, it is not surprising that people will have varying opinions of him and differing reasons for voting against him.
Aaaaah, I see! The fact that different people on NQ accuse Obama of diametrically opposed political philosophies and conspiracies, is actually also Obama’s fault!
God you people are funny.
It’s an unfortunate side effect of the BOBO campaign. If BOBO stopped flip flopping on just about everything, people wouldn’t be compelled to oppose him on everything.
It is funny, isn’t it, sfhillary?
Is Obama for FISA or against it? Does he support Rev. Wright or not? Is he for public financing or not? Does he think Iran is a threat or not? Is he for gun control or not?
It goes on and on. Like you say–hilarious.
sf,
IF you know how to use google – you will see that Obama ONLY panders to those who support his over the top ambitions with campagin checks.
Yes, he is all over the place, Exelon Nuclear energy, Telecom and congressional peer immunity, and votes against bill prohbiting porno stores near schools, because of good old fashion mob connections.
So he will do what Soros says – including his “Development Bank” which is a front to give Soros and company access to all pensions and Social Security.
Google dot.com meltdown, and housing mortgage crises, and lo and behold, Soros, Penny Pritzker and that crowd are the direct CAUSE of the problems that adversely effect millions of Americans.
And of course if 2 competing interest are on the dock at the same time, Obama WILL BE absent from Congress that day and simply NOT VOTE at all.
The point is, this man is a shape shifter — every group he meets with, he sings a different tune.
He finally consented to an interview with The Advocate. They discussed a number of topics, Aside from insulting pro0choice Democrats with one of his comments, by the of the interview, you can’t tell whether he’s pro-life or pro-choice. He is always straddling the fence and no one can pin him down.
He ran to the left of Hillary and now has rejected public financing, just did an about face on FISA, and has changed his stripes on Iraq and Iran (first they were a tiny country, no big deal, now they are a grave threat) — face it — you don’t know what the hell this man believes or will do in the White House.
He poses as a lefty, but he constantly ingratiates himself to, and sides with, big business. Please go look it up. Do your homework before saying people here don’t know what they’re talking about.
Who knows who Obama is? He changes hourly. That’s the change we can count on.
Obama, the chameleon candidate…
I read a great description of BO, the chameleon:
BARACK ZELIG as in Woody Allen’s character LEONARD ZELIG.
LOL !!
unlike the obama-trons we still have our own minds!
They are afraid of…
FDR/Reagan/Clinton/McCain Democrats
The Clinton wing
Women voters
Mi& Fl
Blue Collar workers
The bitter voters
The Irish and Iotalians
The Hispanics
The Jews
The pragmatic moderate centrists
National Security issue people.
100 million people with small stocks
Small business.
People that don’t like fixed elections
And everyone that has problems with someone that stays in a church for 20 years that believes in black Marxist liberation theology
Di I miss anybody
They are afraid of PUMAS apparently.
Yes they are!
http://www.nativeamericansagainstobama.com
May I add to your list:
Parents and educators who are sick of education reform efforts that spend millions and accomplish nothing
Voters who are sick and tired of seeing millions of public $$ going to developers for public housing that does not work
Rotted public housing that falls on children, killing them…Public housing where families share their living space with hundreds of rats and roaches, without heat or electricity, while friends of Obama live in multi-million dollar mansions with the money they stole.
Why don’t people look to Obama’s district in Chicago to see what a wonderful mess he left behind? Is that what people want for this country?
LGBT community
YOU MISSED Native American Indians!!
they are bailing on him now..but he never had them anyway..but they are circling their wagons and going to oppose Obama.
GLBT community.
yes… the lesbians and gays.
Also: people who who don’t like misogynists, liars, thugs, and cheats.
Catholic voters
gun clinging voters
religion clinging voters
typical white people
rural voters
anti-illegal immigration voters
Thanks for that news bit about the convention vote. I think that first ballot vote is very important to HRC and to HRC supporters. That tells me that he has been pushing the party to not have that vote but to have an acclimation and unanimous vote before any roll call. That would be a first in history because in a real sense it invalidates the vote of every primary voter—just ignores them. He is afraid of losing it at the convention on the first ballot! Wow! That would be too bad after the world tour and all.
I can’t believe that is even negotiable. I thought she had the right to her delegates and to a roll call.
I’m shocked at the way they are treating her even now.
I don’t think anything they do would shock me anymore. I think it was at Riverdaughter that I was reading a comment about Obama’s body language while Hillary was speaking at the Unity event; he apparently slouched in his chair like a rude, inattentive middle school student, but then she had to stand submissively by his side (and presumably a step back) while he spoke. I have never seen such an ungracious winner, and I really think much of this bullying attitude is to cover the fact that he knows he is not a legitimate nominee.
Just to clarify that entire performance.
There should have been either two chairs or no chairs at all, not a solitary ridiculous dunce stool. stinky did not have the decency to stand off to the side, but rather instead chose to sit upon that stool, slouched over, feigning attention while Senator Clinton spoke.
Senator Clinton knew mannerly protocol more than well enough to stand off to one side and offer attention towards the despicably uncouth speaker , stinky ; what a waste of her time. stinky does not deserve to be anywhere near that stage.
Maybe etiquette is not emphasized in Black Liberation Theology as it might be construed an evil of Western Culture. But fist jabs are quite acceptable.
As in the past, people often took trips to Europe in order to absorb culture, learn proper etiquette and develop manners. I suppose that is what is planned for stinky this summer. That will be another touring circus.
Yeah, go abroad with your new “seal” barky, gather hordes around while you play “President”.
Don’t waste time in your own country debating face to face with your political opponent about real issues that cocern us all here. We’ll muddle along quite all right without you.
While you’re at it, why don’t you just stay there? Overseas you can be hailed as
“King of the World.”
stinky is a total complete fraud and political abomination.
Indeed he was slouching on a stool and she was standing straight and respectful. Also he took his suit jacket off; he was just on his shirt. HRC kept it on despite the heat.
I think a failure to have a roll-call vote would be a disaster for the Dems. THEY may think it would be showing the “unity” in reality it would be a kick-in-the-gut of historic proportions to MILLIONS of women (and they would NOT be limited to just HRC supporters).
If they and their “nominee” are that tin-earred then they will deserve the whirlwind they reap.
If that happens — ALL of Senator Clinton’s delegates should just walk out!
That would be the democratic thing to do — just walk out of an undemocrat convention.
This is exactly the point- If Obama was a legitimate candidate with no baggage with experience, with DNC abiding by the rules and not changing them, not counting votes, not using the sexist and racist cards etc., etc., it would just be a regular election. This has been the most BIZARRE primary I have ever witnessed- Far worse than Gore vs Bush in 2000.
Because voters became more aware of all the Bush shenanigans, the occupation in Iraq the tearing down of the Justice dept., etc., etc., OUR eyes are wide open and we can see, smell and RECOGNIZE a fraud when we see one. Obama is a FRAUD!
Party Loyalty is foolish if it means another Bush-like candidate or a phony Obama/Dem candidate.
We are living in a society where DECEPTION seems to be the name of the game. I won’t play that game.
NOBAMA
Walk out and hold there own convention.
The genesis of a New Clintonian Democracy.
DNC, Pelosi, Dean would crap all over themselves.
Sanity would ensue.
HILLARY ‘08
Great piece….thanks.
It’s a mess all right, but it’s their mess. I saw during the Potomac blow-out that they had a problem. Traditional Dems went for Hillary 6 out of 10 even there. I kept trying to point out that the Hillary-Hating was going to destroy the base of the party.
It has.
We’re not just voters in PUMA. We’re active in the party. I made calls. I’m sure a lot of us here did. I sent donations. I talked to my friends. I wasn’t passive at all.
That will be missing, replaced by the urban youth? I don’t think so. I also think they are afraid of the impact down-ticket.
Look at Kerry. His approval ratings are low. Why? He’s the golden boy of the nominee. He should have stature. Instead, it’s opposite.
I agree..
!
http://www.nativeamericansagainstobama.com
I agree. An individual who takes steps to join PUMA is not a passive party member. We’ve been active and are the backbone of door to door coalitions, phone banks and small donor drives.
And many of us traditional dems who would have not normally participated or donated in down ticket contests from other states are going to do just that — contribute and help those who will run against the dem elite.
Where can I find Kerry’s ratings? I’m in MA and will vote against him in the Sept.’s primaries.
absolutely correct….i don’t think that THEY get
that most of those who feel HILLARY got shafted by the DNC ET AL …are loyal democrats…my friends and i have worked for the pty for 20 yrs…the pty left us ….we did not leave the party!
Lor818 you obama moron!!
Just ignore the troll Caligirl–you made good points. I didn’t know that about Soros’contributions to McCain. Interesting.
If Hillary gets nominated, I’ll vote for her, but I’m not voting for Obama, I don’t care if somebody says Soros is McCain’s sugar daddy. I’m not voting for Obama. Not now. Not in November. Not ever.
Soros is not McCain’s sugar daddy. Soros is Obama’s sugar daddy and has been present at rallies with Obama.
If I knew what I know now I wouldn’t have voted for that ant-American patsy named Kerry in 2004
And I have always hated Bushes!
The New Democrat Party…You’re disgusting to me!
You must spell Demokrat with a “k” from now on, by order of The Party Leader.
When is Barry going to “cum” clean on this?
Larry Sinclair – What kind of con man?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDgc6tZTBpk
I thought only Republicans played the fear card. Now I know I was wrong.
If this is how Obama and the DNC are behaving now, you can be sure, they’ll use the fear card to keep Democrats in line if Obama gets the White House.
I can understand bring up Roe VS Wade. They had not anticipated that the response would be that we don’t care to be bullied with that.
Frankly, the other stuff is all smoke. They haven’t passed an equal pay law yet, and I’ve been hearing about it since I was 20. I’m not big on phony hope.
I think the issues that face all of us ARE my issues. Gas prices, war, the shaky economy, the government programs that no longer do their job.
It’s time for a change of thinking about the Democrats and exactly what they represent. They want the vote. They don’t seem to want the job.
This is the best summary yet.
I think from their perspective the party is stuck between a rock (corporate patrons) and a hard place (the pesky electorate — that persistent myth of popular sovereignty).
If obama gets in the WH, they won’t have to use the fear card, I’ll be scared as shit. =8-O
Good one! Me too.
Of what? I keep hearing how scared you all are, but I never hear anyone actually say what they think Obama will do.
He will continue the policies of George W. Bush, because the same people who put Bush in office are the ones backing Obama. The economy will continue to go downhill, unless you are fabulously wealthy, like Obama’s real donors. Our civil liberties will continue to erode; he will no longer have to depend on roving gangs of civilian thugs and paid trolls to try to silence us — he will have the military and governmental law enforcement groups to police us. Bush has signed a lot of executive orders giving him the power to name himself Supreme Commander and President for Life, but hasn’t been scummy enough to actually try to carry them out — Obama would. He will continue the war in Iraq far longer than McCain would, because all the civilian contractors will pay him lots of money to do so and he couldn’t care less about the soldiers. The environment would suffer and we would all turn green from the leakage of the nuke plants he will allow Exelon to build. All health care will be run like that hospital in Idiocracy, and the amount charged will be the same as in the movie. Michelle will declare herself Queen of the Whole Damn World, but she and Oprah will get into a cat fight over the title. It won’t matter, because Obama will end up divorcing Michelle and having an affair with either Scarlett Johanssen or Larry Sinclair. William Ayers will be Secretary of Education. Bernadine Dohrn will be Attorney General (Claire McCaskill will be devastated). Rezko will be Secretary of HUD. Michelle’s charming brother will be put in charge of FEMA, until the divorce.
And that’s just what he has planned for the first hundred days.
We can’t. Once we do BOBO will flip flop yet again
Not having any winning strategies of their own, they’ve borrowed Rove’s. Wrong again, even Karl isn’t using that one any more. It’s all worn out just like the DNC traitors. Anyone notice how civil Karl’s become lately on Fox, giving out advise for free and all? I almost like him now…well, better than BO anyway.
I have the recurring visual image of Rove wearing two glove puppets – one an elephant, the other, a jackass.
You make an interesting point. Roe v. Wade has become just another way to control women. So that power has to be taken away from the thugs trying to wield it.
It was lost when the democrats in the Senate allowed Roberts and Alito to be confirmed — at that point I knew that when the Democratic leadership EVER brought up Roe v. Wade to get women to fall in line — they’d get a lot of angry women.
I do believe we KNEW we were being used by the Democrat leadership — they would scream — SUPREME COURT — and we responded.
This time they pushed us too far — THEY picked an inadequate male and expect us to fall in line. They picked an inadequate male who would have VOTED FOR Roberts!!!!! They picked a sexist PIG — who insulted women repeatedly during his campaign.
Surprise — Pavlov dog isn’t going to respond on cue to “SUPREME COURT”.
PUMA!
I think the puma’s are like a snow ball rolling down hill, getting larger as we go. I want to take Obama down and show our party that they better never, ever take our vote for granted again. From now on they have to earn our vote not steal it.
Do you honestly think they will let you vote for Hillary at the convention…NO………I read this months ago that the DNC was not going to allow a roll call…….Remember he also told the press that him and McCain eould get together and work out a deal on public financing…ALSO was it not in Flordia where they were replacing her delegates with his………….ANOTHER OBAMA BAIT AND SWITCH
Yep, I read he was replacing her delegates with his. I believe it is over for Hillary this time around. But that doesn’t mean Obama gets to cross the finish line.
They can’t do that…it’s against the ROOLZ!!
Excellent post Ani. I have always enjoyed your intelligent and perceptive posts on TM and around the blog world. You offer clear specifics here that really bolster your/our argument too. I would love to hear more about business and financial motives that are propelling the media bias and the corporate stranglehold on our democracy. I’ve always sensed that Hillary’s true power–unlike the illusion of Obama–is the real threat to so many who have their own agenda (Pelosi et. al.). People don’t want “real change,” they want the fantasy of change. Notice how far Kucinich and Ron Paul got?
Now, after they bastardized the nomination process and forced their chosen puppet on us, their attitude is: “You have no other choice–unify or else!”
Well, we do have other choices, and for some odd reason, I do not respond well to bullying, intimidation, fear mongering, and threats. We’ve just had 7+ years of that thank you.
Post more often Ani!
Thank you — appreciate the support — the more who see the facts, the better…
Fantastic post. What are they afraid of, indeed. IBetween their behavior re: FL and MI,and the rumored reluctance to have usual roll call at the convention, the answer would seem to be “the voters”.
PUMA!
FYI – From the Chicago Tribune, “How Obama Can Lose”. Not sure the advice from Gary Hart to Obama inspires me, but at least one MSM source is putting out an alternative scenario. http://weblogs.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/blog/2008/06/visions_of_obama.html
I love this. Just like the watchtower people. Good plan!
These would be his pubescent bullying punks ? Good luck with that….
“Hillary and I are going to negotiate this thing[Role call vote]”
Negotiate the rules? I don’t think so!
Teak:
Yes, what’s up with that? What is there to negotiate????
What is in it for HRC?
Wait, just wait a minute! Look, its we the people. I suport my sisters. Men know of Obama’s dirty tricks and closet secrets.. You are giving to much power to our so-called Dem leaders. They can only do what we allow them to do?
We are the power, we still can make a difference. Listen spread the word around, make arrangenments to be at the Milliom Person March in Denver. Make noice, Let the DNC know now and every day thru email, personal phone calls there will be a price for their actions. We need to be proactive and constructive. Let your Congressional Dem reps in know they will pay a political pricwe this coming November. We can take back the party.
Its time to get more active, time for action, this is the time for preparation. So lets not give the DNC or Obama that much authority. Time to speak with your families, friends, work assocaiates and union members. We have the power! If we do nothing than you give them that power.
Steve,
I completely agree. Posts like this need to get out to as many people as possible. I am always shocked by how many Hillary supoorters don’t know all of this stuff. I’m linking and sending this around.
Roe v Wade….I believe someone here has commented before…China allows abortions….I don’t believe Roe v Wade will go any place…Yes McCain is pro life…so isn’t half of America…Trust and experience is what it comes down to. We tried to tell them McCain would be our second choice but they said we were threatening them….it was no threat…is was our true feeling…They didn’t listen then but they seem to be listening now…now that they selected Obama over electing Clinton….I am sure they realize that a large percentage of Clinton’s voters are past their child bearing years….and then there are the male voters, Roe v Wade really isn’t a male thing in my opinion, not when it comes to voting for president….that 100 year thing we know is just a snip of what McCain said and they think we don’t know that?…give me a break…we are not uninformed voters….I am no fan of nuclear anything…I think we need to find a place to put the waste we have before we build more nuclear power plants…but America does need to move forward…Yup…Trust and experience…McCain…I can trust just as much as any other politician around these days….experience…I will let their records speak to that….oh I forgot…Obama really has no record…nothing to speak of…well those slums in Chicago..that gas tax holiday when he was a state senator in Ill….all those present votes…others work he claimed as his own…No I will stay with my second choice..McCain.
Why impeachmnet is off the table is a very dangerous item to know.
Thanks for raising that point, Ani
Ani, this post just rocks! Say it!
Hedi Li: what is the Denver Group doing about :
What is to negotiate ???
TexasDarlin posted this not long ago:
http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/06/13/breaking-hillary-definitely-has-not-released-delegates-call-to-action/
Attempting to induce fear in people is not leadership. Let’s get real — if the GOP could overturn Roe v. Wade they would already have done so — they won’t do it. We have nothing to fear but the fearmongers themselves.
President McCain will be much more moderate than the Obamabots would have people believe. I think we should concentrate on electing a veto-proof congress, and then President McCain will seem downright Democratic. I for one am not afraid of John McCain.
me neither. He is much more moderate than Bush. The only thing I worry with McCain is his age. I hope he picks someone very sharp and younger as VP.
http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0804/S00295.htm
Most blacks voted for Obama because he is black. Nobody calls them racists. But they are and they get away with it. I would not vote for Obama even if he were yellow, black, blue, white or orange. The American people do not deserve an inexperienced, lying person like him.
it’s called reverse discrimination.

On Dec. 20, 1998, in the midst of his murderous speculative rampage against the currencies of Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and other targeted Asian nations, George Soros appeared on CBS-TV’s “60 Minutes,” to explain and defend his behavior.
Confronted by interviewer Steve Kroft about his experiences as a youth in Hungary, under the Nazi occupation, Soros freely admitted that he posed as the “adopted godson” of an official of the Nazi-occupation government, and helped in the confiscation of Jewish properties.

The ‘Hostile Takeover’ of America
As a matter of policy, Soros’s Quantum Fund has never accepted money from any American investors-in order to stay outside the reach of U.S. government investigation. He operates in such locales as the Dutch Antilles and Switzerland, yet much of his ill-gotten gains have been devoted to what some of his colleagues jokingly refer to as the “hostile takeover” of America.
They are afraid of the truth. They are afraid of the peoples’ voice being heard. They are afraid.
I think they thought we would fall in line..those days are over after what they pulled…selecting Obama…many’s eyes were opened to the shady side of the dems…
Interesting too that PUMA now is getting more coverage than Obama surrogates, since Fox just hit the number 1 news spot again.
I heard someone on Fox say the only reason they met up in Unity NH. was because there is no place called dysfunctional…..I love it…the dem party is beyond dysfunctional…
later all…
lol*….that was a good zinger! Nite
30yrdem-not any more; Glad to see up and running…
“I might not be a smart man but I know what hound is”….
BO:
“I’m tired I think I’ll go home now.”
where is all the money obama is supposed to be raising? have the democrats paid for the convention? i don’t see these questions answered.
Why would any non-black person be afraid of being called racist by a black racist? Most Americans will probably consider it an honor to line up to vote against such a person! BO appears to be floundering desperately, name-calling and threatening machine pols like Rendell. He looks and sounds like a would-be tinpot dictator.
I’m not black nor white, and if, according to Kathleen Sebelius, my not liking Borat because he’s “inexperienced” and “not qualified” means that I’m RACIST, well then, as JohnnyatWork said earlier, I’m not afraid to be called A RACIST AGAINST OBAMA. If that’s all the ‘zoids got, then baby, bring it on! Call me a racist all you want, that’s not going to scare me into voting for Borat! Threaten me with Roe v. Wade, is that all you got? It’s MY vote, dammit. And my anger is not because we lost…if Borat is our nominee, it’s because he was selected, not elected. I didn’t vote for him and I will never forget how Brazile, Pelosi and Reid fixed this election. I will never vote for Borat!

It’s a disturbing realization, isn’t it?
Nader on ABC’s This Week Sunday 06/26/08Ralph Nader will be a guest on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”, Sunday June 29, 2008. (Check here for broadcast times in your area).
when you consider that a half billion was spent on the primary this charade is a cash cow for a lot of people.
I may have only one vote and be only one voice—But it is My Vote and My Voice to express as I want as long as the freedom rings in America.
Together we can join together making our many votes into One Very Large Vote that blends our many voices into One Very Loud Unyielding Righteous Voice
Now that Governor Sebelius has joined the parade of Democratic party powerful carrying the water for the new Obama/DNC talking point that ‘the Republicans are going to try to make you afraid of voting for Obama because of his race,’ it makes one wonder to whom she is actually appealing with these comments.
Ani: You have given me a mission to complete for next week a Letter to the Editor of the Wichita Eagle. I live in Kansas but I am a true blue dyed in the wool Yankee. I don’t care if it gets published first time up. I will keep writing them until they publish it. I have a letter and names that can identify Sebelius as a fraud herself. She likes to say she supports veterans but she doesn’t. As a constituent of hers, she brushed me under the rug when she refused to help me with a veteran problem involving one of her state medical boards. She passed me off to more than one person who dropped the ball too. I never forget when I am dissed and you don’t diss this veteran. I don’t get revenge, I get even! I knew I kept all my evidence for a reason.
And I will make sure she knows there are PUMAs in her state too! She will receive the copy of my letter to the editor as well as a letter addressing her labeling me a racist because I won’t vote for Obama!
PUMA’08
Do you think Sebelius knows that BOBO learned all his heartland Kansas values in Indonesia and Hawaii?
Great post Ani.
You’re right that the enmity between the Dems and Reps is so much posturing. It’s a big club for money grubbing. Ralph Nadar has been saying this for years, while everyone wrote him off as a kook. It’s long been time to burn down the house and start over, but people are too afraid to take a stand in Congress. It’s going to take the likes of Puma’s and Just Say No Deal’ers to bring the rebellion to the forefront. If we stay strong, don’t vote their bidding, while at the same time voting out the likes of Kerry and others, the message will get sent loud and long.
I donated today to help Hillary bring down her debt, also donated to Ed O’Reilly to help him defeat Kerry and I’m NOT voting for Obama.
Hope that helps bring our message loud and clear!
Thank you.
I have two words for the Democratic Party under Reid, Pelosi and Dean.
FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING IGNORANT BASTARDS!
Okay 6 words. ha ha ha ha ha
They’re afraid they are going to lose and they better just accept it now. They are the ones who chose to lose yet one more time.

Obama is the one who attended a racist church for 20 years.
Obama is the one who did not denounce the follow statement made by his National Campaign Co-Chair, Jesse Jackson, Jr. regarding Hillary:
“The natural reminder here is O.J. [Simpson] — how does an African American candidate attack a white woman?”
Obama is the one who wrote in his autobiography, Dreams of My Father: A Story of Race & Inheritance, “That’s just how white folks will do you.”
Obama is the one who referred to his grandmother as a “typical white person.”
So, who is the racist? Obama is clearly the racist. And so are the people who support him.
Thank YOU!
I didn’t know Obama said all that stuff. Ever notice the ones screaming racist are the ones who are more racist than anyone??
Thanks Ani —
“They” are afraid of us. Obama is afraid of us – that’s why he started his campaign by attacking us. But Obama doesn’t understand us and he never will.
Us is PUMA and all the other groups, individuals who don’t buy into the Party first line.
does Obama realize that PUMA is HIS OWN CREATION, a little Frankenstein that bloomed during 6 months of the foulest, most abusive web campaign in history?
What did he think would become of all those people who were cursed at and strong armed? Did he think they would just disappear?
I am begining to wonder if they are afraid or they just don’t really want the change they speak of, possibly if the DNC had not given the nod to Obama then they may have had to give up their corrupt ways and adopt Hillary’s goals. I personally think that the DNC need the house cleaning the RNC just went through.
that’s EXACTLY what it is. Hillary would have cleaned house and the Democrats didn’t want that. they are just as corrupt as the Republicans-they just are corrupt for different causes.
This is such a good blog. This point is so “spot” on” ************Howard Dean gets on TV in March to protect Obama from what he calls “race-baiting” but lets Hillary Clinton be excoriated daily in the media without comment – then finally mentions sexism, as an afterthought to appease Senator Clinton’s voters after she’s out of the race. Dean further forbids there to be any more debates after Senator Obama performs horribly on ABC in April before a viewing audience of 11 million. Senator Kennedy discourages the thought of Hillary as a running mate, because Obama needs someone with nobler aspirations for the American people. Is he joking? OH SO RIGHT!
Here’s what I am afraid of:
In Zimbabwe, “Operation Red Finger” is a vital pillar in President Mugabe’s strategy to maximise turnout, to give yesterday’s one-man presidential race a semblance of respectability……sound familiar.
We had better be prepared to mount a stand now in this country. Look what has happened in Africa. These brave people are literally risking their lives for fairness, decency, and the rule of law. This article is frightening.
http://www.zwnews.com/issuefull.cfm?ArticleID=19049
During the primaries, a former statement by Bill Clinton was often used against Hillary. He once said (not verbatim), “If someone is talking fear and someone else is talking hope, you’d better go with the one who offers hope.”
How quickly Obama’s “hope” has turned to “fear” now that he the presumptive nominee.
His surrogates needn’t preach that stuff in my red state, because it won’t play here. It will only make his loss here even bigger than it would’ve been already.
Get ready to call me a racist, because I’m getting ready to tell you the truth. White people in the south, who aren’t politicians and aren’t community leaders, but who vote regularly are sick and tired of being labeled racists simply by virtue of where they live. They’re sick and tired of being blamed for slavery, the KKK and civil rights violations that happened before they were born (or when they were little kids), and they had nothing to do with it.
While they’re struggling to support a couple of kids at $8-10/hour jobs (and that’s average pay where I live), racial appeasement is the last thing on their minds. Most of them feel like they’ve done all they can, already.
I agree w you on this.
Rather he is applying the rule and attributing the dreaded FEAR message to his opponents. Neat trick.
Why are they afraid? I’ve been asking that for a long time. The DNC, the MSM, Hillary’s strongest supporters, and now Hillary herself. What is so frightening that it scares all of them into doing the unthinkable – abandoning democracy?
I think Hillary and Bill should sit back and let all these assholes go up in smoke all by themselves.
The reverse race-baiting will probably work here in MA. The bluest of the blue states. Although we have a chief executive in the BO model, who is inexperienced, harvard law educated, arrogant, prissy, vain and more concerned with the trappings of the office (cadillac, curtains and lear jet) , the loony lefties will vote in lock-step for BO.
Oh, yeah did I mention he is black?
Do yourselves a favor and read up on our beloved governor, Deval Patrick. A politician in the BO tradition, words and little else.
I’m in MA as well. I reluctantly voted for DP but he has been such a disappointed than when BO came along and I heard him speak I said…well well well; where have I heard that before? And that was before I knew about who Axelrod was….
Kevin: don’t you think that McCain could have a shot at MA if he plays it well?
Western MA –except for the five college areas Amherst, etc– will not go for BHO. The northeastern part of teh state is debatable. cape cod will go for BO. The big question is Boston and surrounding areas… BO barely won the primary against HRC…. And we have had Rep. governors between Dukakis and Deval Patrick….
What do you think? It’s a long shot but the Reps. could make BO rattle here and pour money if the play it well…. ??
My Boy Scout Story-
A friend of mine told me you didn’t put your son in Boy Scouts just because of the name and what Boy Scouts was supposed to stand for, you had to check out the leader and who was in charge.
And she was right, you don’t blindly trust an organization with your son or your vote because of past good deeds. Who is running the show now is the most important factor as to whether to put your trust there.
That goes double for the Democratic Party right now. The ferocious and untrustworthy Obama and Dean and Pelosi and Brazile and Kerry are running the show and we don’t trust them.
Poor poor Kerry has to (gasp) campaign for his party’s nomination for re-election to the most exclusive club in the world, the US Senate. So instead of windsurfing off nantucket island, he will have to go to chicken dinners here in the mainland among the unwashed masses.
LOL !! I love it. I for one am voting for Ed O”Reilly in the Sept. primaries in MA. I know it’s a long shot but anything to rattle Kerry’s cage.
No way in this world would I allow a child of mine to be under the guidance of the likes of Obama. Not even in sunday school–especially the TUCC sunday school.
I think what they may be afraid of is not winning the White House in a year that it is virtually assured. That would mean the Democratic Party is a failed Party. Ironically, they are going to lose the election because of their own actions. They failed the party and caused it to fail.
Ironic also – Bill Clinton, the most successful Democratic (or otherwise) President in our lifetime, is not frightened. He is one of the strongest Democratic Party supporters there ever was but he is not frightened. I get the impression he is ready to write them all off but is holding back because of Hillary.
Morons who put themselves in a position to be controlled by a candidate who has higher ambitions then a democratic (small d) Presidency deserve what they get. Unfortunately, the rest of us don’t deserve it.
Bill should charge the BO campaign his going rate for a speech – $150-200K.
They would most likely say no thanks.
Just like me to BOs, HDs and the DNCs constant requests for my $$
You are right democracyfirst; I sense the same from President WJC.
P.U.M.A.
save Democracy.
vote McCain in the GE
make your vote COUNT.
oh yes, and watch those counting the votes.
the corruption is very deep.
the obama coup will go to any lengths.
Yeah, I am such a racist I will not vote for the black man or the white woman NOW. I voted for the white woman but since she has endorsed the communist symphathizer and the anti American christian called Obama I have had a gut full of them both. Actually I have had a gut full of the so called democratic party in general. America before any party–that is what it is all about with me.
can I get an amen from the choir?
Very nice post Ani; thank you!!
Funny General Electric (GE) has been one of the biggest losers this past week
in the stock market.
The word out was: if you owe GE stock SELL IT !!
I would rather support Sarah Palin then Governor Sebelius, they’re both pro-life and against gay marriage, one Republican, one Dem, but Palin seems to have some empathy towards the people she serves and as a result she’s got some pretty high approval ratings.
I agree !!! I like Palin much better. Both were featured in Vogue together last February. Enough said.
Besides choosing her as VP would be adding insult to injury. KS is not 1/10
what HRC is. Not that I’d vote for Obama even if HRC were VP.
Yes, let’s have a camera go into Obama’s neighborhood and show us all the homes that were created by developers after Obama got them money from the government…lets see those homes!!!!
Most were never repaired, and the taxpayers ripped off.
Obama is lucky he has not been charged so far…
Sorry to be a bit OT. But was thinking BOBO is perfect:
Barack Obama Jr.= Barack Obama II = BO2 = BO squared = BO times BO = BOBO.
If my only 2 choices in November are McCain or Obamba then I will vote McCain. My point in saying what I said is that we need to get Hillary on the ticket. It’s not too late, we just have to find a way to air all his dirty laundry before the convention.
NRO’s Greg Pollowitz reports great line on Palin:
“On Fox News Sunday, while talking up Sarah Palin as McCain’s V.P., Bill Kristol just said that Palin, a high school basketball star, could beat Senator Obama one-on-one. Since Senator Obama is too scared to go to a town hall meeting with McCain, it’s highly doubtful he’d take on Kristol’s challenge, however.”
Hey Chris Jackson I’m glad you printed the George Soros donor list. Maybe people will start to understand the real game. We are all being played for fools, especially the Obama supporters. They will go down in flames.I will say ” I told you so”
I will NOT, i repeat NOT be voting for senator Obama
unless he puts Hillary on the ticket. He scares me without Hillary behind him showing him the way.
