Nope it does not. Radical marxists are dangerous in the Church or in the political arena.

The Catholic Church always helps those in need. It is a sanctuary. That is a DIVINE virtue, not a Radical MARXIST virtue.

The Radiacal Marxists are trying to overtake the Catholic Church with Liberation Theology. Where they have been successful, people have suffered. In San Salvadore, Honduras, Venezuela, and Cuba.

Make no mistake, the Catholic Church's generosity is not RADICAL. The Marxists who want to impose their will ARE.

teh Founding Fathers did not want any religious test for holding office. Why? Because even in the Colonies there were certain religious groups that used it as a litmus test for holding public office.

If Obama is so pro Sermon on the Mount why didn't he see the suffering of poor black people in his own district in Chicago? This suffering was caused by his friend Rezko. Yet he continued to take this money from this man. I wonder what Jesus would have to say about that?

Barack Obama:

"And even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools? Would we go with James Dobson's, or Al Sharpton's? Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is okay and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount -- a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application?"
...
"We all know the story of Abraham and Isaac. Abraham is ordered by God to offer up his only son, and without argument, he takes Isaac to the mountaintop, binds him to an altar, and raises his knife, prepared to act as God has commanded.

"Of course, in the end God sends down an angel to intercede at the very last minute, and Abraham passes God's test of devotion.

"But it's fair to say that if any of us leaving this church saw Abraham on a roof of a building raising his knife, we would, at the very least, call the police and expect the Department of Children and Family Services to take Isaac away from Abraham. We would do so because we do not hear what Abraham hears, do not see what Abraham sees, true as those experiences may be. So the best we can do is act in accordance with those things that we all see, and that we all hear, be it common laws or basic reason."

Is that Obama pandering to religion? Or is that his explanation and advocacy of a secular approach to government, directed at a religious audience? I guess everybody will have to form their own opinion.

His observation about the Sermon on the Mount is interesting. He recognizes that the true philosophy behind Christianity--as put forth by Christ Himself--is one of the most radical political philosophies going.

The right has reconfigured their version of Christianity to suit their own political philosophy. On the far right, politics and their reconfigured religion are the same point on the compass.

True Christianity places far more emphasis on social justice than upon the accumulation of enormous wealth and power. An honest, thoughtful reading of the actual words of Christ reveal that with disturbing clarity.

Obama is no preacher, but his presence on the political landscape represents a challenge and a worry for the Christian Right in more ways than one. It really worries them when the guy speaks to religious audiences. It reminds them that they don't own a monopoly on faith. And that there used to be a very influential thing known as the Christian Left.

They're much happier with the mistaken idea that liberals are all a bunch of secular humanists.

uh-oh....

separation of church and state...also, under the proverbial bus. getting busy, and now, pretty interesting, under there.

it's an egoistic fool who hasn't yet learned that God is pretty much beyond human imagining, and that politics is a man made, fallible, and mostly unholy, contraption . as Mr Walt Disney says in his cartoon world...," put 'em together and what 'ave you got?...bibetty-bobbity-BOO".

one is not fooled by the religious histrionics of the oblahblah, nor frightened by the latest disney psych-op from the obamacan dems.

church and state will continue to be separate.

Democracy will be upheld.

barack obama will not be POTUS.

These same folks that Obama's courting are against Roe v Wade and LGBT rights. Where are the Obama supporters worrying about these things now?

PS. Not all evangelicals are the same. There are liberal evangelicals. From Dobson's remarks I would guess that these are not the evangelicals he's shooting for.
