Obama Thugs, In League with Google, Bully Bloggers

Give the Obamabots credit. They are clever at exploiting loopholes and finding ways to shut down opposition voices. Come to think of it, the Soviets were pretty good at that kind of information control and intimidation as well.

It appears that anyone who blogs with Google supported BLOGSPOT is vulnerable to being shutdown unilaterally if they are targeted by a group of bloggers who claim the site is responsible for spam. All you have to do is click on this link and start your complaint.

Just paste that blog url in there a couple of hundred times. You have the time! You know that if Blogger gets enough of these that Blogger will shut down the site until they get around to reviewing the site.

People complaining do not have to identify themselves. In fact, a small group of thugs can do a lot of damage, at least in the short run.

What would the Obama folks think if we tried to employ the same tactics on them? We could use the same link to shut all Obama blogs down. But that’s the difference between us and them. We are not afraid to debate our ideas. Shutting down discourse is not our thing. Also, we believe that every vote should be counted. Unlike the Obama folks, who disenfranchise 50% of the voters in Michigan and Florida, we say, “count them all.”

BLOGSPOT is putting itself out of business if it keeps this up. Shutting blogs down for no good reason, in fact, for false reasons, tends to piss bloggers off. Folks are starting to vote with their feet. They will go elsewhere and set up shop. A temporary inconvenience but one designed to ensure that the blogger is free to write and speak what he or she believes to be true.

Take a look at the list attack by the Obama thugs.

I took a quick look at the Wordpress site, and it doesn’t look like they have a similar “report spam” link. I’m sure they appreciate the increased exposure as people get knocked off of Blogger.

I’ve had a nice conversation with wordpress. With a REAL person! They don’t lock up blogs by mob rule. They LOOK at the blog first.

The BOBOweenies at Huffy Poo were flagging/scrubbing the posts of Hillary supporters for months. That was much easier for then then actually thinking and rebutting. Flagging blogs against their beloved BOBO is the same behavior. BOBO and his BOBOmultitudes have a serious problem with free speech that shines the light on the darker corners of the BOBOcloset yet they are all for free speech when it’s gushing over with love for their dear BOBO.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-06-29 19:30:36

I have NEVER seen such tactics employed.

Larry says that Hillary supporters would never do such a thing.

Not only would we never do such a thing, it’d never even OCCUR to us to do such a thing.

But it is a regular activity of Obama’s thugs — to try to intimidate and silence anyone who disagrees with their blessed candidate.

Steve Diamond calls these people “authoritarian leftists” — that they are.

Comment by alibe4hillary | 2008-06-29 19:37:49

They are not really leftists. They are just plain old fascists.

Comment by standard | 2008-06-29 19:45:25

That’s how they purged all of the democratic blogs of Clinton supporters.

That is how Obama operates.

Comment by standard | 2008-06-29 19:46:14

These thugs need to be outted.
I want to know who they are.

Comment by Paul F. Villarreal | 2008-06-29 23:07:43

This is exactly correct: This is how they purged the at-one-time progressive blogs.

The new ’spam attack’ for the blogspot sites is the old troll rating pile-on in hopes of initiating an autoban.

Great call, Standard.

All of this is orchestrated, discussed, planned and executed. All of it is fascist. This is how you attempt to take a teleprompter candidate who cannot win the majority of his party’s votes and make him seem like he’s not a former coke-smoking ‘uh uh uh’ mumbler who is fully prepared to switch his positions on FISA, public financing and DC gun laws in the span of about a week.

When these people are toppled from power, and it won’t be long before that happens, they are going to go out like Mussolini: humiliated and debased.

When your entire operation is built around these and similar tactics, what historically happens when you lose a step, so to speak, is that your adversaries not only defeat but destroy you. That is, thuggery begets thuggery.

As Larry Johnson said, we PUMAs are not fascist Obamatons. We’re not going to turn on them and start making death threats or posting pictures of them and detailing where they work in order to try to get them fired or to intimidate them.

But that hardly matters.

There are people higher up the food chain than ourselves who are carefully documenting what has happened and are keeping score and taking names.

I have said this before and will repeat it here: When the worm turns on the anti-American, duplicitous Barack Hussein Obama, it is going to turn with a ferocity and swiftness that people might not expect. The Messiah will become the Devil overnight.

And when that occurs, remember this Google bullying. This and the other 1,000,000 Stalinistic instances will be the reasons that so many will be only too happy to not only lay the casket at Obama’s political funeral but to kick dirt over the grave.

I’ve seen such tactics: The People’s Republic of China for one. Seems World War 2 did not get rid of all the fascists.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 20:06:53

I see. Because a few anonymous online people might (I see no direct evidence, but let’s stipulate that it’s true) have used online spam-reporting forms to knock some PUMA sites offline, therefore the Obama campaign itself is comparable to Red China and the Nazis?

Every day I read NQ and wonder what the most ridiculously overheated line of the day will be. This one might be today’s winner!

Comment by wac for hillary | 2008-06-29 20:33:26

I think SusanUnPC hit the nail on the head. We not only wouldn’t do something like this; it really wouldn’t occur to us to do it. Don’t you find it just a bit worrisome that free speech means so little to even a few of Obama’s supporters?

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 20:53:48

I think that in any population exceeding a million members you will find a few of almost everything. If there are a few thousand active members of this NQ community, I guarantee you that a small number of us are criminals of one kind or another, or have done horrible things that would reflect badly on us all if they were known. I guarantee you that the same can be said of HRC’s campaign, and of Bill Clinton’s presidency, and McCain’s inner circle, and so on. That’s just the way the world is. Obama has probably over a million active volunteers on his campaign, and uncounted millions of “supporters” on the net. Is it possible that a few of them got together and decided to scam Blogger and knock some PUMA sites temporarily offline. To exrapolate from that to a conclusion that the Obama campaign itself wants to stifle competitive speech in this manner is utterly ridiculous.

Comment by sjl106 | 2008-06-29 21:06:42

Considering obama squashes debates, hand picked the delegates going to the convention, hides or didnt’ keep his IL senate records, lies about his positions and steals Hillary’s to make himself look better, directs his little minions when to go on attack, I would say he is very much in the mode of an Authoritarian, Dictator, type personality. Facism, Communism, call it what you will it is all the same type of oppressive type ideology and obama and his camp definately can be compared with the actions they have taken. Oh black separatist, same as the rest.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 21:15:40

Obama took place in dozens of primary season debates. Like every frontrunner, he now wants to limit them. Like every primary winner, he wants to control which delegates attend the party’s national convention. Show me which positions of Hillary’s Obama “stole;” I read the candidates’ websites pretty exhaustively very early on in the primary season and was struck by how similar Obama and HRC’s platforms were. “Directs the little minions when to go on attack.” What does this even mean? You mean he runs his campaign? Yeah, he does. Pretty damn well, too. And I will admit that Obama and his senior staff have shown much greater message control discipline than we are used to seeing from Democratic national campaigns in recent decades. About damn time; it’s one of many reasons that the guy is actually going to win.

Anyway, your conflation of all those very minor, normal campaign attributes with a “dictator-type personality” is the sort of wildly over-stated silliness that, unfortunately, pervades this website, and PUMA sites in general.

sfhillary – you’re wrong! Last summer, when Hillary was the frontrunner, Obama decided to limit his participation in debates.

This was preceded by his declaration that Bush and Cheney HAD NOT committed impeachable offenses.

Both were red flags that Obama was the Establishment’s candidate and could say and do what he damned well pleased — WHILE he was claiming to be the underdog and outsider.
Oops! Obamabots – duped again.

I am from Texas and my Step Daughter is a Police Officer. My Mother is 88 years old and can hardly walk with a walker and was literally atttacked when she went to vote in the Caucus that evening in February. They ask her if she was going in to cast her vote for Obama and she said no that she was voting for Hillary, they took her walker away from her and told her she was at the wrong place, that this was the voting place for Obama. They told her she had to go across town to vote for Hillary. She asked for her walker back and they dumped it over the rail on the ground below. She was holding onto the rail and started to cry because she couldn’t move. Two gentlemen got to her and told her they would help her and that the police were on the way, for they had called them when they saw what was going on. By the time I got there they were getting very insulting and rude and calling her names, then Jennifer my step-daughter and her partner showed up. They asked what was going on and they said her walker fell over the rail and they were just trying to help her. Fortunately there were several witnesses and Jennifer was smart enough to know that the walker coundn’t have fell over the rail for it was to high. All four were arrested, for abuse to an elderly person. I hope the hell they send them to Prison for the maxium sentence. Obama supporters are nothing but a bunch of gangsters and thugs and I have NO respect for anyone that backs him, other than the ones that are being forced to do it to protect their Political Careers. I can’t imagine how you missed what happened at the Texas Caucus’, for it happened all over the State, in every town that held a Caucus and it was all over the TV and Newspapers. You sound like every Obama supporter that I have met or seen on a blog, blind to every crooked thing he and his supporters (thugs) have done. So don’t defend that unqualified, bigoted, racists, America hating liar to me or in my presence. He will never win the Whitehouse if the Coalition sticks to their Pledge and I can assure you that the almost 5 Million at Hillary Clinton Supporters For John McCain will, for we all pledged not to vote for him in November, as have the millions of other members of the Coalition, which consists of almost 200 other groups. Our motto is “Come November We Will Remember”! So by the Grace of God and with his help and the millions of us that have pledged not to vote for him, he should be on his way back to Chicago to his gangster, racists and terrorists friends where he belongs on November the 5th and hopefully never to be heard from again. The only time I want to hear about him is in the headlines when he is finally arrested for some of the shady deals he was involved in with his shady thug friends. The truth about him will come out sooner or later and I just hope it is before people are actually fooled into going to the polls and voting for him.

Here is what happened to me on YT.
A person with a screen name of Oswaldo123432 threatened to kill Larry Sinclair before that Press Conf. that Sinclair had on 6-18 and while I do not approve of Sinclair, I defended him to this Oswaldo and it was through the message feature on YT. Oswaldo sent me back a message through YT full of threats to me and also he totally had my full identity and he said more. Now people tell me how this can happen.
I have filed a complaint with the Security dept. of Google and I am also going to the FBI and will possibly file a lawsuit against YT.
Yes RJKT, this could turn into Nazi Germany if Obama is elected. Google is totally in the tank for Obama and his thugs.

Medusa:

They have been doing this for a while on blogs; the idea –imo– is that BHO is a coward via a vis his middle name. He is afraid of it and the
people’s reaction b/c he himself is a bigot. So he is sending the kids to the front lines to test the waters and make the “public” used to hear it and
associate it with “white friendly faces” (it’s disgusting propaganda).
So that then everyone becomes desensitized and associate “Huseein”
to these harmless kids faces rather than something else before he himself starts owing his middle name publicly. It is soo obvious and so disgusting…
What a BIGOT !!!!!

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 13:06:19

Are you for real? The fact that a bunch of young Obama supporters express their support — and make a public rejection of implicit anti-Muslim bias — by adopting his middle name somehow translates into Obama being a bigot?

That is utterly deranged logic, even by NQ standards.

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-06-29 13:11:06

No, I think it’s much stranger than that. It is not uncommon for cultists to want to take the name of him whom they worship. Listen carefully now.

Young. Followers. Are. Changing. Their. Middle. Names. For. Obama.

You do not find that the least bit disconcerting?

Comment by wry | 2008-06-29 13:28:54

I pointed this out months ago that cultists on TPM were calling themselves Hussein, like Malcolm changing his last name to X…so his followers did.
I tried to interest the media but couldn’t. This has nothing to do with combating anti muslim bias. Barack having the name Hussein and insisting he never was a muslim has more to do with stirring up bigotry anyway.
How many people name their kids Barack Hussein who are not muslim?
I know he’s not a muslim now, he’s a marxist Black Liberation theologist, but by saying he never was, he’s implying there is something wrong with being muslim. My muslim friends, who are European muslims , not middle eastern, see him for the fraud he is. The ones who could vote in this country voted for Hillary, BECAUSE OF TUZLA. They thought she was so brave to come and bring her daughter.
This Hussein crap is trendy/culty garbage and has about as much to do with Islamic pride as Madonna calling herself Esther has to do with Judaism.

Honestly, though, I refuse to read the NYT or look at the picture. Happiness and calm are too important for me.
I’m not voting for Barky, and that’s it for me. Why do I need to fire myself up reading this cult worship PR?

Comment by Ted | 2008-06-29 14:48:35

Hussein O’Maley.” Alex Enderle made the switch online along with several other Obama volunteers from Columbus, Ohio, and now friends greet him that way in person, too.

and this basically says they are too lazy or cheap to legally change their name, I am sure Uppity would think about having friends greet her in person or the only reason she isn’t legally changing HER name is “Legally changing names is too much hassle, participants say

I find it to be a media-savvy young person’s political statement which actually has a long tradition, starting with all the slaves coming forward and saying “I am Spartacus.” Another manifestation was this recent “I Am African” campaign:

http://www.cherryflava.com/cherryflava/images/paltrow.jpg

In this case, after a few hours’ reading of blogs like this one, where so many posters make a point of using the name “Hussein,” or reading the rest of the right-wing blogosphere (Ann Coulter, for instance, calls him “B. Hussein Obama”), I think the Obama fans’ campaign is kind of cool. They’re telling everyone who uses Barack’s middle name to try and boogie up anti-Muslim, anti-Arab bias that they can take their trivial smear campaigns and shove it. And I gree with that sentiment completely.

This is just another ‘fun thing’ for our totally misguided youth… right there with Amer Idol, Surviver, ‘reality’ TV, etc… They don;t have a CLUE!!! Comment by MaryPat | 2008-06-29 14:57:56

Everything for kids like this is “too much hassle.” They’ve been raised to take the easy way out, and mom and dad are always there to do the heavy lifting whenever actual effort is required.

They may graduate from fancy colleges, but these spoiled young people have no work ethic, and no self-sufficiency. Just ask any employer who hires them.

They want to vote? Make ‘em take a test. How many branches of government? Who is the Chief Justice of the SC? What rights are protected by the First Amendment? Name three accomplishments of the empty suit you worship so much you have taken his middle name…

But then taking a test would be SO much hassle.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 20:17:09

This is pathetic. “You damn kids get off my lawn!” You really think this crap is going to win an election? You really think Obama’s coalition is primarily African-Americans, young people and radicals? Damn, you are foolish.

No, Obama’s coalition is bitter gun-and-God clingers.

Comment by wac for hillary | 2008-06-29 20:46:40

What “crap” are you talking about? Why is it unreasonable to ask voters to do a little digging to find out exactly what their candidate believes in, if anything? I want the person sitting in the White House to be more than another GWB. Obama may have all the pretty catch phrases and the MSM to kiss his ass, but that doesn’t mean squat. What are his real positions on anything? We keep asking this question, and all we get are kids playing stupid games with blog access. They need to stop thinking that they are just playing a version of the TV show, “Survivor”, where dirty tricks, double-dealing, and back-stabbing are thought to be good things.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 20:56:10

If you want more than just another GWB in the White House, I do not recommend voting for John McCain. And you are assuming based on the age of the people in the photo that they are not educated voters, which is a very silly and in all likelihood false assumption.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 21:38:49

I’m mid-40s, white, married with a kid, and a moderate libertarian who is, if anything, to the right of general mainstream Democratic Party rhetoric, but is so appalled by President bush and his band of criminals that at this point I’d vote for Homer Simpson against any Republican anywhere on the ballot until Bush and his whole crowd is expunged from that party. Obama wasn’t my first choice but he has impressed me more and more (excepting FISA, a disgusting and damaging political move), I’m quite confident he’ll make a fine mainstream Democratic president (just like HRC would have), and it is a very easy call to vote for him over McCain, who in his latest flipflopping incarnation is promising to govern as a Bush clone. Which is totally unacceptable to any thinking progressive.

And you are absurdly wrong about the Obama coalition. Blacks are maybe 20-30% tops. “Radicals” extremely small. Under-30s, again, maybe 20%. the majority of Obama voters are whites and Latinos who are 30 and older, many of whom lean independent. This is because the majority of all Democratic voters fall into those categories. This is simple demographics, man, don’t be ridiculous.

Comment by Bella | 2008-06-29 21:42:21

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-06-29 21:53:26

If you had any brains you would vote for Homer Simpson over Obama. You probably think all of Obama’s advisors are great, such as Wright, Phleger, Meeks, Ayers, Moss, etc.

You Obama supporters are pathetic, are you actually arrogant enough to think you can convince people who are wise to Obama to vote for him? You are delusional.

Comment by Julianne Barbato | 2008-06-29 22:23:12

I think I understand a little better why you’re not outraged by Obama and company. Anyone who’s been a longtime active Democrat, with half a brain left in her head, is livid over the travesty of democracy that occurred during the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting on 5/31. I watched it all on CSPAN.

That was definitely the capper for me. They blatantly violated the Sunshine Laws and Regulation 4.24, Rule 13, clause C of the Dem Party constitution, which states that “uncommitted” is its own discrete entity and is to be treated the same as any other candidate. That means, in MI, where Bo took his name off the ballot as part of his strategy, he should have netted ZERO delegates. ZERO. Instead, they robbed uncommitted of 55 delegates and threw heaped them like rose petal upon Barack. Then they stole 4 delegates from Sen. Clinton and gave them to the Harvard-grad affirmative action candidate.

Maybe if you’d been a Dem for 35 years like me, you’d be livid, too.

I would ask you to check out two different YouTube videos, if you would, please, before you castigate any one of us again: “DNC–Fractured Fairy Tales” (it’s in Dean’s and Brazile’s own words) and “Harold Ickes Threatens to Take it to the Convention (or something like that; close enough). Thanks.

Thank you. I enjoy this site a lot; it’s an active and passionate community and I don’t mind being the one person in 100 who is here in order to defend Obama. But I would like it if the personal vitriol went down a level. I’m not going to bitch and moan because a) being sworn at or called stupid or called a troll or whatever doesn’t bother me personally; it just isn’t interesting, and b) I’ve been plenty guilty of intemperate language here myself. But I do think we’d all benefit by remembering that online anonymity doesn’t justify rudeness or emotionally violent rhetoric, and that true patriotism (like true personal morality, in my views) means remembering that we are all human beings, and we all love America — even the 18 million who voted for Obama in the primaries, and the tens of millions who (like me) will vote for him in November. Trust me — I love this country as much as you do. You might think I am misguided but you have no call to question my — or anyone else’s patriotism and good intentions.

I wouldn’t expect you to “trust me” any more than you or I could trust anyone who is anonymous on the Internet. But what you mean to see is that you couldn’t trust anyone who supports Obama, because Obama supporters are inherently untrustworthy. This is the kind of ugly, irrational rhetoric that I would urge everyone to take a step backward away from. It’s unwarranted and unhealthy and a truly ugly way to regard one’s fellow citizens.

Expressing his disdain for the politicians and how they get over on the little guy by lying, faux outrage, wedge issues, corporate favors, should be ridiculed.

Comics have been going to the subject of racism, sexism, poverty, wealth, social justice, and more forever.

Laughter helps slay these dragons…like it or not.

It also helps to discuss these topics in way that reveals the good, the bad, and the ugly.

People shouldn’t blindly accept what the MSM, politicians, religion, parents, etc. It is dangerous to be so naive in a world full of predatory people and frankly a sad way to live your life.

McCain has to go after Obama on energy and the economy. Most Americans are worried about the economy, because gas prices are putting a dent in their pocketbooks. If McCain has been coaching himself on economics while he traveled recently, then he should start grilling Obama on his tax plan. The common sense being circulated in every article about the GE is that you vote Democratic in your economic self-interest. Obama already destroyed that argument by attacking the Clinton years. There is plenty of footage of Obama stumbling on the economy in debates or on the campaign trail. There should be some 527 that patches these together while discussing Obama’s tax plan. This article in today’s LA Times was comparing this election to Clinton v. Bush 41. There is no comparison, because Obama is not a New Deal Democrat. Bill Clinton is not going to actively stump for Obama, either. Obama is trying to move to the center now. He’s soft in the middle; Republicans should start slugging away.

Comment by Andy | 2008-06-29 12:02:00

But McCain and the Reps have been extremely soft and tepid vis a vis Obama.
HRC made that mistake and it was fatal. Every time someone in McCain’s campaign criticizes Obama he’s apologizing the next day: WTH?
I have not seen any zest so far in their tactics. No contrasts. Too soft….
Don’t understand : what’s their tactic ???
BO continues to get an unchallenged free ride. If they don’t start quick to chip away they’ll run out of time….

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-06-29 12:08:30

The only thing I can think of is they are waiting until Obama is the official nominee. It would be a waste of precious resources (Obama refused public campaign financing and could potentially have the money advantage) to go after Obama, if he is not the nominee in the end. Plus, there are Clinton voters attacking Obama for the Republicans. I agree, though, that the Republicans should not squander an opportunity and underestimate Obama. There is every reason to get this general election started.

Comment by wac for hillary | 2008-06-29 20:54:41

What do you mean, “HRC made that mistake and it was fatal”? You don’t mean to suggest she actually lost, do you? Don’t stray from your PUMA talking points, dude — Hillary won the primary. It was stolen from her. Obama is a radical Communist (or a greedy right-wing Reaganite, depending on which thread we’re on) who hates democracy, the 18 million people who voted for him are all AAs, stupid children and Latte-drinking elitists, and all the super-delegates who flooded to him at the end of the primaries (after having begun the primaries supporting HRC by a very wide margin) are now in a sexist conspiracy against Hillary. Got it? Stick with the program.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 20:40:16

My facts are straight. At the beginning of the primaries, HRC had over 100 announced super-delegates; Obama had zero. By the end, he had a majority. Spin whatever outlandish conspiracy theories about electoral fraud you want; one unassailable fact is that the Democratic Party establishment supported Hillary at the beginning of the primaries and, by a wide majority, supported Obama by the end of it. This site’s endless blather about how the party elders were in the bag for Obama all along is just utter BS. They were in the bag for Hillary until Obama persuaded them that he was the better candidate to carry the party’s flag in November. I understand that most everyone here considers that opinion blasphemy; nonetheless, that is the establishment’s opinion now, and it is one they are allowed to reach, and it isn’t anti-democratic; it’s the rules of the primary as they were set a generation ago.

Comment by HillaryClinton4BarackObama | 2008-06-29 21:02:49

Hillary’s problem was that she tried to run a professional campaign against an SOB who thought nothing of using racism as a weapon. And since when are caucuses a fair indicator of who the voters want to see get the nomination? And since when is it fair to reward Obama for removing his name from a ballot by giving him delegates he didn’t earn? Why do you consider it proper for the DNC hierarchy to pressure Hillary to quit the race and to give up her delegates? If this primary had been held in another country, Jimmy Carter would be screaming bloody murder about a corrupt process.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 21:22:33

“Hillary’s problem was that she tried to run a professional campaign against an SOB who thought nothing of using racism as a weapon.”

If you really believe this, I’m not sure that we have shared points of reference. I will merely observe this: Obama is the candidate who comes from an ethnic group that has never elected one of its members to the presidency, and has only representative — him — in the senate, and precious few even in the House. How exactly he is supposed to have used “racism” against the white candidate in a majority white nation and political party defies any logic I’ve ever been able to ascertain.

And yes, HRC tried to run a professional campaign. Unfortunately she didn’t do a very good job of it until she brought in Maggie Wiliams, by which point it was too late.

Comment by wac for hillary | 2008-06-29 22:29:36

Do you really believe that Obama gives a flip about minorities other than to get their votes? If so, tell me what he has done to improve their lot in life. When Bill and Hillary Clinton were labeled as racist, what did Obama do? The correct answer is nothing. He silently stood by while Jesse Jackson’s loud-mouthed son smeared the Clintons. At that moment by saying nothing, Obama condoned those attacks.

They both have their tax plans, and both plans have their bottom lines.

Obama is going to tax the rich more, shifting the tax burdon upward. The logic is that the poor can’t afford to pay more; the bottom 40% of the population own only 0.02% of the total wealth. The middle class is already strapped. 71% of the total is held by the upper 10% of the population, who have benefited enormously from the Bush tax cuts, so they can afford to pay more taxes.

McCain would continue the Bush tax cuts. He says he won’t raise the high end taxes. He’s got the same problem with the tapped-out poor and middle classes as Obama. He also says he’ll cut deficits and balance the federal budget. While continuing a ruinously expensive war in Iraq. If anyone can figure out how that will work, I’m perfectly willing to listen. But, unless there’s a secret formula, this is either a misstatement of intentions or a plan for economic disaster and runaway inflation.

I suppose I might be seen as a troll to the extent that I keep expressing unpopular points of view where they’re not welcomed. On the other hand, I’d argue for Clinton over McCain for all the same reasons, and have always favored Clinton over Obama. Maybe that makes me a rare specie of democratic troll, who’ll admit in private that we’d all have been better off if Obama hadn’t become a factor.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 20:23:58

Don’t expect much of a response, James; you’re actually talking policy. That isn’t favored here. The PUMAs like to say they’re rational and educated, but they aren’t; they are hate junkies. You can see the same thirty or forty names clogging up these threads day after day, saying the same thing every day: how much they hate Obama, how they’ll never vote for him, ever, and how the Democratic Party is a bunch of fascist hacks who have abandoned all principle and now deserve to wither away.

As for Obama: yes, I do trust him, to a degree. I am sickened by his FISA fold; because of that, I certainly don’t like the guy as much as I did a couple weeks ago. But to me — a committed moderate/libertarian progressive Democrat — the very notion of voting for McCain over Obama is deeply repugnant. The mere thought of anyone who, like me, believes in HRC’s platform and her principles, would even consider empowering the repulsive, terrifying Republican Party of the George W. Bush era is beyond misguided into the realm of potential tragedy.

Comment by DoroB | 2008-06-29 20:50:24

Actually, “under the bus” will never get old because Obama continues to throw people and causes under the bus everyday.

You are now empowering the repugnant principles of hypocrisy–reflected in the FISA fold, NAFTA double-talk, and countless other things that have been thrown under the bus.

The very notion of voting for Obama, who only does things that are politically expedient, including ignoring the plight of his own constituents who lived in rat-infested housing, is repulsive.

You don’t happen to know the Obama thugs who are trying to kill democracy by shutting down Bloggers, do you? That’s one reason why PUMA exists…Who can love the Democratic party when its supporters are the people trying to shut down opposing opinions?

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 20:49:33

No, I know nothing about that, but I do know a few people who are heavily involved in the Obama campaign (I am not), and I can tell you, there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that they would involve themselves in something like this. Obama’s online campaign staff are very smart people, very net-savvy and (I am fairly certain) not stupid enough to expose the campaign to the horrific publicity if such a scuzzy activity were uncovered (and trust me, if this came from real Obama people, it will eventually be uncovered) or personally evil enough to even want to shut down opposing viewpoints in that manner. They are also knowledgeable enough to know that it isn’t possible in the long term. If this really is happening, Blogger folks will figure it out within a day or two and reinstate blogs that were incorrectly spiked.

I realize that in telling this group that this kind of spam crap isn’t the Obama campaign’s style I’m sort of spitting into the wind — we’re talking a site where at least once every day or two, someone compares Obama and his team, without irony, to Nazis — but I will tell you anyway: this kind of spam crap isn’t the Obama campaign’s style.

Comment by DoroB | 2008-06-29 20:57:34

So you know people who are in Obama’s campaign huh? Well given his supporters’ conduct and Obama’s hypocrisy, don’t blame me for not having any sort of warm feelings for you.

It doesn’t matter if this didn’t come from “real Obama people.” This was the lame excuse that Obama shills gave when his campaign workers denied the Muslim women the chance to sit behind the podium because of their religion. It certainly came from Obama supporters, whose actions mirror Obama’s hypocrisy, because they claim to support Democratic principles while shutting down opposing opinions. Shame on you.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 21:09:36

I see. So, you know that this anti-HRC Blogger problem, whatever it is, came from Obama supporters. And you also know that the anti-Obama Florida car vandalism came from Obama supporters?

Look, I believe in reason, reality and evidence. The car vandalism definitely happened and most likely came from some nutty people aligned with PUMA ideas. I don’t extrapolate from that to claiming that all PUMAs are violent vandals. The Blogger problem, which I will assume happened for purposes of this discussion, most likely (in my view) came from some nutty people who felt they were supporting Obama by doing so. But to extrapolate from that to claiming that Obama supporters in general are borderline criminal and anti-free speech is just as glib, silly and unfair. Yes, I know some activist Democrats who wound up with the Obama campaign. They are committed progressives and as far as I’m concerned they are on the side of the saving the world by trying to get a mainstream Democrat elected president, just as I would have felt if Hillary had (as I once preferred) won the nomination. They’re good people. Smart, honest, committed progressive activists. Seriously. Your characterizations of them on this site are sheer lunacy. If you lined up five Obama staff members and five Hillary staff members, you couldn’t tell them apart. Not in the slightest bit.

Comment by DoroB | 2008-06-29 21:22:04

I’m sure you and lots of other people in the Obama campaign were jumping up and down for joy when the car vandalism news broke. Finally, something to point your fingers at Hillary supporters about. Finally, you don’t have to think about the thuggish Obama supporters who intimidated and deceived people at caucuses, who spewed disgusting, vile hate on Kos and Huffington, who made t-shirts like “Bros Before Hos.”

I know wonderful people on both sides of the aisle. That does not make Obama’s hypocrisy and the actions of his supporters go away. No wonder how wonderful these people are, it doesn’t make Obama a better person. Some of these “wonderful” people were also the ones who bought into the Obama talking points early on, claiming that Hillary was dishonest, claiming that Obama was running a positive campaign. These are the same people who are having to bend their way to explain his FISA fold. I feel sad for these wonderful people.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-06-29 21:29:14

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I find the Florida vandalism story — and, if true, the Blogger story — sad and frightening. We are all progressives and we should all be fighting the Republican party, whose leadership are in my view is the true anti-American, anti-democratic, war-mongering scum of this political era. When I read the most overheated rhetoric on NQ — the stuff talking about how “evil” Obama is, how he absolutely must be stopped before he destroys America, etc — I can’t help but think of the one truly mentally unbalanced reader out of all the thousands who could read this stuff and decide to take action. We all bear some responsibility for our own rhetoric, and I don’t remove myself from that admonition. But for heaven’s sake, a little reality: Obama’s a politician, just like all the other candidates. He isn’t any more or less ambitious, he hasn’t run an appreciably dirtier campaign and he isn’t any more or less mainstream in his views, or his likely governance. Enough with the evil antichrist routine.

Comment by DoroB | 2008-06-29 21:35:46

Obama is a politician? Are you kidding? Didn’t he say he’s not a politician? Didn’t he say he was above dirty politics? Didn’t he denounce Hillary for saying and doing anything to win?
Sure, he hasn’t been dirty. It was all his supporters all along. Obama just won’t say anything or stop any thuggish behavior as long as it still benefits him.
The unapologetic hypocrisy is what makes his campaign dirty. And the fact that he can shamelessly lie and no one will take him to task for it, that people like you will say that at least he’s a Democrat is what is turning people away from the “Democratic” party.

Comment by JM | 2008-06-29 22:13:36

Sorry, but we are NOT all progressives. Some of us are moderates.

For a politician who is purportedly running as “a new type of politician”, the hypocrisy is glaring. Then, when considering the underhanded campaign that he ran, and the intentional misrepresentation of Mr. and Mrs. Cliton’s remarks and beliefs, I have no desire to vote for him. Bill Clinton was the only Democrat in decades to win consecutive terms as president. Obama’s complimenting President Reagan while pointedly ignoring Bill Clinton pisses me off.

Obama is a faux Democrat, but more importantly, a faux progressive. When progressives come back to reality, and have an honest evaluation of Barack Obama, they will realize for this themselves.

Top this all off with Obama’s radical associations, then surely you must realize that Obama is not the typical politician, and not in a good way. He tacitly supports a radical agenda that is in my opinion, un”democratic”. There is no mistake about this. Investigate his mentoring of the ACORN organization to understand how Barack Obama operates. His campaign, and his surrogates behavior during the election process bodes ill for the future of America. We are a country of political dialogue, not political thuggery that suppresses someone else’s freedom of thought.

I am a Democrat who will NEVER voter for Obama. PUMA!

Heh. Can I get that in a contract or can I assume that the moment it is politically expedient that he’ll change his position on this also like NAFTA, FISA, and a whole host of other flip flops?

Policy shmolicy, All through the primary I got told how it doesn’t matter now you’re going to attempt to tell me all of a sudden I should trust Mr Flip Flop because his policy positions on the website are BETTER than McCains by something like a millimeter(but he can and will switch him if the political wind shifts). Fuhgetaboutit.

By the middle of next week, Obama will now be saying that he does not intend to raise the taxes on anyone.

Comment by fif | 2008-06-29 20:36:01

You’re behind on your “facts” James. Obama is now praising the free market, much to the pleasure of his Wall St. backers, and McCain has not said the wants that the “wants” the war to continue indefinitely. That is a meme the Obama camp has been repeating incorrectly. Besides, Obama is now changing his rhetoric about Iraq–it is much closer to Obama’s position: “gradual, honorable withdrawal.” Then again, we don’t really know what Obama’s positions are, because they change weekly, depending on who is pandering to.

As far as the Republicans going after Obarf it’s still early summer people on vacation not really paying attention to the news or elections. After the convention and Fall rolls around we’re going to be in for some treats I’m sure. I’ve pre-ordered extra popcorn. Meanwhile just let Obarf talk, everytime something comes out of his mouth he’s flipping or flopping. The Repubs are letting him have a hand in sinking his own ship. I appreciate you posting this here. I can’t tell you what a nightmare it is to get an email from Blogger telling you that your blog has been suspended and that it will be removed in 20 days if you don’t enter in the proper code and request an editorial review.

I’m planning on a vacation this summer…what if you had gone on hiatus with your blog and come back to see the entire thing wiped by default?

So I did not wait for Blogger to remove the lockdown. I spent quite a bit of time this past week moving my site over to a new domain name, one that I have complete and total control over.

What initially was just going to be a temporary blog for me for the election is now officially PERMANENT. I’ve bought a domain name now; I’m invested.

I’m not sure what these losers thought they were trying to accomplish by shutting our blogs down. For me, it has resulted in increased exposure for my blog as well as legitimized what I do.

I truly hope that Obama does not win in the fall, if just so that these a**holes can learn their lesson and go crawl back under the rock from which they came.

That sounds good but I think the really trustworthy place is one that was started recently BY a PUMA: http://www.pumaparty.com

They have free blogs, you can make more than one. I’ve made two that the software works great. You can edit the blog post with wysiwyg full screen (or html).

They have good forum software too, and any PUMA can use it all.

Has anyone called Blogger and threatened to go to the media with this? Complicity in this silencing of dissent seems like bad PR for them. They have a media number, but it’s just an anwering machine. However, I also found the number for the Blogger legal support department: (650) 618-2680.

I think we should start calling them and making a fuss. There may be no actual legal issue, but if enough people start calling their legal department and complaining, it might wake them up to what’s going on and push them to resolve it. Again, the number is (650) 618-2680. Uppity, could you put this in the body of a main page post?

Just an example of a reason to have your own domain name and hosting. Does not cost a lot and its a lot harder to get shutdown. I’ve been thinking of bloggin abut how to grab top search postions for the negative Obama searches and how I’ve been able to grab the top spots for quite a few of the Anti-Obama phrases. Perhaps I’ll put together a little blog post and show the Obama folks how its really done.

Getting a blogger blog shutdown is not difficult, but its better to try and grab the URL after its deleted so you can grab any search postions it may have.

Hard working here too. A few days off to catch up on all the bunk is so depressing.

I have come to the conclusion that he must be really trying to lose – shooting himself in the foot – he is acting like he wants to win but knows he can’t so he is derailing himself.

Hillary will be the nominee in August or else the whole world will be FUBAR. End of story.

This site is to be constantly commended for going above and beyond all my PUMA hopes and desires.

Zero guy is a danger to this country — and I know that more and more voters are saying NO WAY every day.

I think if the republicans play their cards right they could become the voice for women. Of course you would still have the moralist’s on the far right but increasingly they are becoming marginalized.
Look at O’Reilly. His show is full of female guests. Greta has become a real champion for women. Even Hannity knows that if the Republican party wins over women then they will have a permanent majority.
Republicans need to reinvent themselves and McCain has said that he will appoint more women in his cabinet than in history. The women he appoints will then affect policy.
The New Republican party will be about respect and equality to women.
I see it happening!!

Comment by believe | 2008-06-29 20:32:20

Sure – The party that’s against equal pay for women, was against the ERA, doesn’t believe in reproductive rights — that’s going to be the party for women == funny!

Comment by wac for hillary | 2008-06-29 21:35:26

And the Democratic Party is doing so much for women. That’s why after McCain wins, I want to see the Clintons form a Third Party of moderates from both parties. Let the fringe groups have the old parties.

They rant and they use vile language but they are very serious in their intent. I have a WordPress site, but that platform has problems with posting videos and photos, and I wanted to use the site for those purposes.

I do not have the money to buy my own hosting service.

I had the spam deal done to me a couple of years ago, but the problem cleared up in a couple of weeks.

Obama did not win against Hillary. If he wins against John McCain it will be with the help of the MSM. This guy does not want to debate the issues because he knows he is a moving target. Just as soon as you sit him down in a debate, he will be force to explain his ever changing positions. And so like their Messiah, Obama’s people don’t want debate either. Because when challenge to defend their candidate’s position or even his policy, they are lost like little children who are chasing after a rock star, simply because he is a rock star.

History has taught us that “Celebrity” is not always anchored in “Quality”, “Honesty”, “Morality”, “Intelligence”, and a host other things that Barack Hussein Obama lacks. I couldn’t help but be amazed this morning when Ron Emmanuel was on TV attempting to defend his candidate, the best he could do was to attack John McCain, he could not answer this one question “Name one time that Obama has led the way reaching across the isle to reach a real serious bipartisan compromise” he could not do it, and neither can the legions of assholes supporting him.

Here’s the thing, lets debate the issues, but if they want go war, then fuck them lets go to war. This is how parties are destroyed and new parties are born. This is what revolutions are all about. The Battle Is Join!!!!

What the world needs today is more revealing -and not less- of “barging in” on the part of Barack Obama’s army to tell the Land of the Free to stop spelling his name on blogs.! He should not come proclaiming that he is our dictator and that this land is under his command! There is a lurking danger if we allow them to get away with this action this one TIME! Where are the Republicans when we need them? Didn’t they drag you into the chambers for your actions with the naked men, and your secret spying? Isn’t this action a striking comparision of what they accused you of? This dreadful potential danger of removing the only thing that identifies us from others, and that, dear leaders, is Freedom of Speech! Are we as zealous, as eager, to partake in this freedom too, Republicans? Open the door of the Congress we knew, and drag these men in front of you, and bring back our Old values, old truths that are being challenged today. Put your armour of Freedom on and fight before you wake up with a new Control land in our mist!

Some of the bloggers may indeed be paid bloggers…
But, the vast majority of them are just immature pre-adults. (17-23 y/o) They are bored slackers who have nothing in life to be passionate about.

Think about it. They are the instant gratification generation. They have computers, cell phones, x-boxes, wii, etc. Their parents are in hock up to their noses to give them everything, including over priced liberal arts educations.

They grew up with the CGI animation of the prequels to the Star Wars Trilogy, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the Harry Potter books and movies…of which there are no more to look forward to until Christmas. What else is going to fill their time?

They are interested in this election because they cannot differentiate between fiction and reality. The lines are blurred between good and evil…in their minds anyone who stands in the way of what they want is evil.

They have never been told NO! This is why they get so frustrated and angry and since they cannot change the mind of rational adults who do not live in their homes and do not have to tolerate their petulant behavior.

Unlike their parents, who relent and give them what they want after they have pulled out every weapon in their emotional blackmail arsenal including, but not limited to; foot-stomping, whining, door-slamming, and the silent treatment.

Since they cannot get their way with us as they can with their permissive parents they resort to sabotage and subterfuge to get their way.

An Obama Pod that I know personally, left home as a teen to live with his adult boyfriend and his parents continued to pay for his car, education and health insurance. He has a part-time job in a liberal setting and doesn’t have to work hard at it.

He attended college at taxpayers expense and has secured several undergraduate degrees, none of which will yield him a career. So he has decided to teach, YOUR children…until he decides what advanced degree to pursue. This is the type of spoiled, over indulged, hyper-educated-but not workforce ready, pre-adults that support Obama.

So for everyone who has ever seen a child throw a tantrum at the grocery store check out line and get the candy bar they were screaming for just to shut them up…

That child is now grown and sipping a Red-Bull, smoking a clove cigarette, and popping a Ritalin, in front of his or her computer and they are throwing a temper tantrum because you won’t let them have their candy bar.

Comment by Pink Panther | 2008-06-29 22:02:37

Sounds like they will do whatever needs to get done to get their way-”the means justifies the ends”.

These are the supporters that follow Obama. We do not need a leader that attracts a following that will do his bidding by any means necessary.

It’s time for the kiddies to grow up and learn ethics and responsibility.

Be careful using LiveJournal, too. This wasn’t politically related, but I know a book reviewer who had her site locked up when an author, angry over a bad review, reported her site for containing inappropriate material.
There are a lot of vindictive people in this world, and it doesn’t take much to set them off. I do think that our society has taken a nose dive when it comes to civility. Unfortunately, we see the worst of it online, because of the anonymity factor. We can say things online that we would never say in person. Well, most of us, anyway.

No different….same game…different generation of “kids” and People still living with their mommies and daddies….no need to work, all the time in the world to harrass and “work” the internet.

Axelrod gave these “lost Kids” a purpose, and he is using them as a mini army to overtake and slanderize all who doesn’t agree…..it’s sick and ironic…..don’t these kids know that their freedom to do such things comes from us to keep things free and safe for all?…..they do not realize once they win….everyone will lose…..and a socialized state will become the norm…..with a total shrewd imbecile Obama will lead—no different than the idiot that runs N.Korea and Castro for Cuba.

Susan,

I just responded to a poster above about what happened to me on You Tube, Here is what happened to me on YT.
A person with a screen name of Oswaldo123432 threatened to kill Larry Sinclair before that Press Conf. that Sinclair had on 6-18 and while I do not approve of Sinclair,No one’s life should be threatened as Sinclairs was by this Oswaldo, I defended him to Oswaldo and it was through the message feature on YT. Oswaldo sent me back a message through YT full of threats to me and also he totally had my full identity and he said more. Now people tell me how this can happen.
I have filed a complaint with the Security dept. of Google and I am also going to the FBI and will possibly file a lawsuit against YT. Sinclair says the D.C. DA would not file a complaint against Oswaldo and would not even release his name. That is really way too funny especially since Oswaldo had my real name and threatened me too.
Google is so in the tank for Obama. We must get our message out to America about defeating Obama, otherwise we could all be in real danger.

If any more proof was needed that many Obama supporters are cult followers, it is this taking of his name Hussein as their own. You saw this with the MOVE cult in Philadelphia, where all the members used the last name “Africa”. The first rule of any cult is to strip the cult-members of their former identities. They must unquestioninly identify their very beings with the cult-leader – who is never questioned, always obeyed & conisdered the font of all wisdom. And all information from outside the cult must be repressed. So you see that the shutting down of anti-Obama blogs and the taking of the name Hussein are consistent traits of cult behavior.

Evelyn, your story of the shocking display of thuggery directed at your your mother at the Texas caucus is painful to read.
Can you provide any details to aid in verification of what happened, so that the perpetrators are outed, shamed and the troubling Obama worship that is so prevalent can be exposed for what it is?

Please let us know what precinct or town where your mother tried to vote, and the names of the arrested or the locality that effected the arrest.

Your mother obviously does not need goons descending upon her again, but the arrest records most likely conceal your mother’s name.

Shutting down opposition, silencing dissent, removing those that disagree from public view, all in the name of Democratic Party unity, is what is going on at the site Google uses as a “news site” for those doing “news searches” so as to have a “left” point of view -

namely – “DemocraticUnderground.com”

Just about every Hillary supporter that dares to continue to speak has been tomestoned (meaning they lost posting privileges and can not us the PM system there to communicate with others on the board.

325 comments as I write this. This is a commendable amount of traffic for observing the expected.

Barry’s army of Winston Smiths is oddly working to your benefit.

My complements.

It’s just another campaign tactic, and another attempt to silence free speech from the ‘one’ who just can’t wait to take the oath of office and solemnly swear to ‘preserve, protect and defend’ the Constitution of the United States of America. (Yeah right) Millions of dollars flow between Google and bo. Starting to think the ‘war on terror’ is right here at home.

I suspect that many online dirty tricks have been used by Obama supporters, for in addition to the never ending avalanche of nasty sarcastic posts from pro Obama bloggers … the unprecedented online fund raising by the Obama camp … the online dominance by several pro Obama websites, like Huffington … and, this recent blocking of anti-Obama bloggers, several times, when I posted anti-Obama, Pro Clinton, pro McCain posts to sites who guranteed the aminitiy of my email address … I ended up getting hundreds and hundreds of pieces of spam in my mail box shortly after each time I posted.

Bush was also very good at silencing its opposition especially when the war started!
