Obama Be With You
By Uppity Woman on July 1, 2008 at 7:00 PM in Bamboozling, Barack Obama, Current Affairs, Daily Kos, FISA, George Bush, Hoodwinking, Huffington Post, MoveOn.org, Pandering, William Ayers
In case you haven’t heard, Comrade Obama has added up the Democrats who would rather vote for a cockroach — so he is now on a hunt for votes in unlikely quarters. In keeping with his shameless vote whoring habits, he is now pandering to Evangelicals.
Not only is he attempting to con Evangelicals, but he has made The Big Step. Yes, that’s right. Barack Obama says he is going to continue George Bush’s Faith Based programs. I have no doubt that he means it. He plans to provide money to anybody who worships the Highest Of High Lords: Himself. Most of it will go to Reverend Wright though. That new mansion is already too small for his big head. He wants to rebuild. What’s left of the grant will go to his Faith-Based Goddamn AmeriKKKa program. Here, I envision Reverend Wright being in full charge of the Goddamned Faith Based Initiative. I envision this much in the same way as I envision a pardoned Tony Rezko taking charge of HUD and Bill Ayers in charge of the Department of Education.
I find it interesting that Obama would applaud George Bush’s unwillingness to separate church from state, but I do not find it shocking. As time moves on, we are seeing that Comrade Obama bears a striking resemblence to George. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Obama is the Democratic Party’s George Bush Redux.
He’s inept just like George Bush. He lies to get what he wants, just like George Bush. He’s arrogant, just like George Bush. He disinfranchises entire blocks of Americans, just like George Bush. He uses people, just like George Bush. He’s arrogant, just like George Bush. He refuses to be vetted, just like George Bush. He gets his sycophants to attack people, just like George Bush. He rigs things, just like George Bush. He’s a thug, just like George Bush. He’s impressed with himself, just like George Bush. He cheats, just like George Bush. He has unsavory friends, just like George Bush. And he has a middle east conflict, just like George Bush.
And now, we are watching Barack Obama refuse to separate Church from State, just like George Bush.
There are a few differences though. At least George Bush can make up his mind what he believes, even if it’s the wrong thing.
I know you might find this hard to believe, but I think what Comrade Obama is doing is fun to watch. For one thing, it’s an absolute blast to watch HuffPo, DKos and Moveon have minor strokes watching Barky shove it up their noses. It really is fun to watch them come to the realization that Comrade Obama was using the whole boatload of them. First it was FISA and now the…..gasp…..evangelicals. I bet they all feel Hoodwinked. Bamboozled. Led Astray.
God, I love poetic justice, don’t you?

Keep praying Barry…
He can pray with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Why does Kos hate black people?
Amazing, isn’t it?
Both Kos and Huffington completely drank the koolaid and willfully trashed the only real progressive running—Hillary Clinton—and NOW they both have buyer’s remorse for having stuck the Democratic Party with the weaker candidate.
Why anybody would trust their judgement anymore is beyond me!
I’ve been saying barackula is Bush2.0 since January people! Where have you all been, eh, heh.
WIth that said, even though bush did all of his damage, I always took solace knowing he’d be exposed for what he really is, because a leopard can’t hide its spots.
OBAMA CAN’T HIDE HIS EITHER
How soon will obama slip?
About as quick as deval patrick.
ARGHHHH this makes me PISSED!!!!

Daily I come to this blog to see the truth, and again uppity woman you have nailed it. This man is nothing but the democrat’s version of Bush. I also have to say that I have told many that I couldn’t wait for the show to start, I never imagined it would start so soon. Thanks for great posts that keep me thinking and laughing.
I think that some that voted for Bush will be voting for Barky.
Stupid people!!
It won’t be because they like Obama, the jump is too big. I have talked to some Bush supporters who think the Republicans sold out by nominating McCain. They are considering voting Obama so the Republicans can regroup while Obama destroys the Democratic party.
Great post, Uppity! So, so true…Barky is Bush redux!
Actually, Barky is a Bush wanna be. There is nothing original to the plastic jesus.
He’s the Bisquick candidate–the all purpose empty suit.
How about Krusties? Just add water.
For sale; one used waffle iron.
BRAVO! MOST EXCELLENT COMMENT. ‘DITTO.’
Well Obama may have his new and “improved” thousand points of light type message…but PUMAS have 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling! PUMA!
I`m getting sick of Hillary`s people like Lanny going on TV to defend this bag of shit. They make themselves look like pimps.
They ARE pimps …
Harp turn off the TV, the revolution will not be televised, it is happening right here at NQ and other PUMA sites.
beebop, they must feel dirty doing so, that is some consolation.
And they said Hillary was pimping out Chelsea.
Nobody pimps like the media pundits, nobody.
I agree. I am surprised how easily they all fall in line for somebody with serious flaws.
Evidence of a covert campaign to undermine the presidential primaries is rife, so it’s curious that many within both the Democratic and Republican parties have ignored the actual elephant in the room this year. That would be Karl Rove, the G.O.P.’s longtime political strategist. Accused of rigging the two previous presidential elections, this master of deceit would have us believe he’s gone off to write op-eds and give lectures on college campuses.
Not so. According to an article in Time magazine last November, Republicans were organized in several states to throw their weight behind frontrunner Senator Hillary Clinton’s principle rival for the Democratic nomination, Senator Barack Obama. While Rove’s name isn’t mentioned in the story, several former fundraisers and strategists for President Bush are identified. With the help of Wall Street investment firms, these gentlemen helped flush Obama’s coffers with cash early on in the race, something the conservative deep pockets had not done for any candidate in their own party. With receipts topping $100 million in 2007, the freshman senator achieved a remarkable feat, given he only first appeared on the national scene in 2004. In fact, the vast majority of Americans did not even hear of him until 2006.
To expedite the Rove strategy, a website and discussion forum called Republicans for Obama formed in 2006. The executive director of New Hampshire’s Republican Party, Stephen DeMaura, later established “Stop Hillary Clinton (One Million Strong AGAINST Hillary)” on Facebook. At the same time, the Obama camp launched its own initiative targeted at Republican primary voters called “Be a Democrat For a Day”. The campaign included a video that was circulated in Florida, Nevada, Vermont and elsewhere explaining the process of switching parties for the election. In addition, many states nowadays hold open primaries, allowing citizens to vote for any candidate, regardless of their party affiliation. In Nebraska, the mayor of Omaha publicly rallied Republicans and Independents to caucus for Obama on February 9th. In Pennsylvania, Time reported on March 19th that Obama was running radio ads in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia asking Republicans to register as Democrats and then vote for him in the state’s April 22nd primary.
The tactic, called crossover voting, allowed Obama to open up an unsurmountable lead in pledged delegates. Republicans
I was wondering how the Obamabots got those dusty old GOP Clinton attacks.
Now I know — from Facebook, courtesy of Rove.
Kudlow and Co on CNBC tonight had the numbers from donations ALL the big wall st firms to Uhhbama ALL of them barely anything to mccain..
I thought it was one step beyond continuing — didn’t he say that he was going to expand Bush’s faith based initiatives? So, my question is, if we’re going to be putting more God into government, is this going to be the Wright/Pfleger/Meeks version, or has Barry chosen another righteous, audacious path to lead us all down?
Just another way to channel more money for Black Theology.
I think it is safe to conclude that anything Obama says in this campaign is said to pander votes. If one wants to evaluate Obama look at what he has been doing not what he is saying. It is easy to conclude that Obama believes in black liberation theology since he sat there of his own volition for 20 years.
HARP - I still respect everyone who has stood up for Hillary - but, for now, they demonstrate what one has to do to fall in line with the Demofauxcratic party…
everything is What Obama Really Meant (WORM)…
it is an embarrassment to see them twist themselves into pretzels to try and explain why this idiot should be President.

Yeah, at least Bush sticks to his guns (no pun intended). If he believes in something, he believes in it. I happen to disagree with a lot of things he believes in, but at least he doesn’t constantly lie and try to make me believe he believes what I do.
How long before teh bots say
Obama is not the man I knew 12 months ago.
bwahahahahahaha!!!
But will they throw their plastic Jesus under the bus???
They’ll never throw the plastic Jesus under the bus because then they’ll have to admit they were “WRONG” and wrong is not in any of the the Obamabots vocab.
Exactly, just like the word “WRONG” never shows up in the Bush administration…and yet another comparison between Dubya and Hussein.
They’ll never throw the plastic Jesus under the bus because then they’ll have to admit they were “WRONG” and wrong is not in any of the Obamabots vocabulary. When they look it up in the dictionary under “W” they see Wright.
They already have, Kos threw Obama under the bus today.

Why is Kos a racist? Why does he hate black people so much? Are all the readers of Dailykos this racist?
oh look they remembered to include an ‘or her’ in a phrase about candidates and future POTUS’ of course its a phrase addressing flip flops so for that they got the female label in
Oh thank you for that, that is so funny!
You reminded me of an old post I wrote imagining Denver if they selected the freakazoid:
Our last Democratic Convention featured Fogerty performing “Small Town” live, amid a flurry of flags.
Should O get the nod that sort of reminder cannot be tolerated. No, No, No instead we must embrace to nominee by espousing his closest friends:
Wright and Farrakhan should lead the prayers.
Jay Z will perform his inspiring lyrical wonders of disunity.
Rezko with his electronic monitors and Blago will introduce the candidate they brought us.
William Ayers will summon us all to rally around or else he will blow up Denver.
Jackson and Sharpton will stand proudly for the Tawana Brawley they pulled on Hillary.
And Kerry, Kennedy, Dean and Pelosi will be crowned with their Katherine Harris awards.
The key note address by Oprah will offer quoting from the Hamas manifesto, just for some real democratic change.
Hallelujah, the apocalypse is nigh, let me cling to my gun and my bible and be bitter.
slight correction
John Cougar Mellencamp performed not Fogarty
:0>
Great tax dollars to fund faith base organizations, Rev Wright must be smiling now thinking of all those millions coming in for his day care centers and so on, then their pastor can get up on the pulpit on any Sunday and say GE America you have done nothing for us.
The ISSUE on this “faith based programs extension” should be whether Obama will continue to operate it through the White House with no Congressional oversight, or whether he intends to allow Congress to oversee WHO gets the money and holds them ACCOUNTABLE for achieving goals.
If it’s the same ole Bush thing, then it’s just another political payback to favored Democratic supporters, and may become another $$$ trough for Wright/Ayers/Pfleger.
If it actually has Congressional oversight and regulations requiring oversight and accountability, that’s something else.
So far, I haven’t heard Obama mention any of that.
He’s just throwing out “funding” to church groups to get political support, which is exactly what Bush did.
Come on, folks, this program IS funded by our tax dollars, and should never be operated without Congressional oversight as part of the overall budget.
BaJoke is worse than Dubya.
You want to know who basically said that, for the same reason I’ll say it:
The head guy of the New Black Panther Party (can’t recall his name right now; __ Shabiz?)
What he said was that at least with Bush you knew where he stood. When the NBPP head made these remarks it was right after BaDork tossed Wright under the bus.
Bush will go down in flames while backing goofballs like Harriet Miers.
Whereas BaJoke will toss ANYBODY under the bus in a heartbeat, no matter how important they are to him or how long he’s known them.
ZERO loyalty. The kind of guy you can’t turn your back on lest you end up bowied to the back.
Barack Obama is a world-class fraud and chameleon. This is his ‘best’ feature, his only real asset.
Bush is a pr*ck, but he won’t hide it and you know he’s going to stay with his position.
Obama, on the other hand, is a weasel. A punk. A coward. He’ll shake your hand and with the other hand signal his Chi-Town Tommy Guns to start firing.
He is the Manchurian Candidate. He is a liar, a user, sexist and as I have written about before, someone who displays sociopathic tendencies.
He is a threat to our country and its security.
A perfect example of the duplicity of BaJoke is the Wes Clark John McCain smear and Barack’s non-denial of it which the MSM is pretending is a denial.
Typical BS from The Fraud.
It DOES seem exactly the same bait-and-switch Obama pulled on the Clintons, doesn’t it? And much like Bush did in 2000.
Obama plays “above it all” while his surrogates in and out of the media trash his oppponent.
This is how he falsely painted the Clintons as racists.
This is how he claimed Hillary’s comment about RFK’s assassination was about HIM.
This is how he claimed Hillary was trashing MLK and JFK when giving LBJ credit for legislating civil rights changes.
For those who have been watching, the new McCain/Clark flap isn’t anything new.
Next thing you know, Jesse Jackson Jr will be whining on CNN & MSNBC that McCain didn’t cry after Katrina.
Well, I got news for Jackson. It won’t work anymore.
Americans don’t like presidential candidates who play the victim. It makes them look weak and wimpy.
Malik SHabazz
I just love a good buyer’s remorse schadenfreude don’t you? The kids over at Digg who had predominantly in the tank for The One are having a hissy with Bambi’s latest outreach to the Religious Right.
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Obama_to_expand_Bush_s_faith_based_programs
Awww, looks like the poor little bots are disconnecting from the collective.
Wow…..they are quite disillusioned by their previous Messiah.
Welcome aboard, eh?
Yes, I love Poetic Justice, Uppity Woman. What a brilliant post! You are amazing!
There are a few differences though. At least George Bush can make up his mind what he believes, even if it’s the wrong thing.
Plastic Jesus has NO CONVICTIONS, but one - get elected any way he can. No matter who gets thrown under the bus or how many lies he has to tell or how many masks he has to put on.
God I hope Hillary doesn’t lower her standards to run with him. If he has a double digit lead in the polls at the convention, I don’t think he’ll ask her. But if he doesn’t get any better lead than he has now, he has no choice but to add her. He’s doing his damndest to keep from asking her. Going evangelical? The most liberal member of Congress? That’s the joke of the century, G-d dammit!!
If he does have to add her, that would break my heart, cause she’ll accept. And saying no to her will hurt… but voting for him will hurt even more. NObama, never!!!
Well, I’ll just keep praying about it.
Hillary or McCain ‘08!!!
I hate to say this but if we should be so unfortunate to end up with Obama as POTUS, we may look back with fondness on George Walker Bush.
Christians have already seen Obama’s macabre idea of faith.
When he calls himself “Christian” I think “Satan’s Insane Asylum.”
That sign sums it up pretty well - everyone who votes for Obama is a sucker.
Obama thinks he is God and expects everyone to worship him.
I believe Senator Obama has shown his support for faith-based initiative already by putting his money where his mouth is, so to speak. How much money did he have directed to Father Fleger’s church through his political offices (Ill. State Senate or U.S. Senate)? Wasn’t it around $250,000?
How much money did he direct to Trinity United Church of Christ? What about back when he was a community organizer?
I’ve always wondered if we have a full accounting of Obama’s power, money and church relationships.
Does anyone have an update on this? Why does the MSM not mention this today?
As a state senator Obama directed $225,000 of the Illinois taxpayers’ money for programs run by Pfleger. In the U.S. Senate, Obama earmarked $100,000 in federal tax money for Pfleger’s work.
Obama gave $20,000 of his own money to Wright.
The MSM is trying to elect Obama, expectations from them are low.
I would just keep reminding the religious right that Obama voted against a ban on partial birth abortion. That tells me where his soul is, should also tell anyone from the right thinking of voting for him.
also a law in Illinois on babies in late term abortions that were born alive , Uhhbama voted against letting the babies live, he wanted them killed…
[...] http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/07/01/obama-be-with-you/ In case you haven’t heard, Comrade Obama has added up the Democrats who would rather vote for a cockroach (hee hee)— so he is now on a hunt for votes in unlikely quarters. Thanks for updating us on the money he gave. I seem to recall the $20,000 to his own former church, and thought that was just for one year.
I read he had offices out of Trinity United Church of Christ when he first became a community organizer, and helped to “Mau Mau the Flack Catchers” (i.e., from the title of a Tom Wolfe book, I believe, on how to get grant money for housing out of the local federal bureacrats).
I think “Comade Obama” is a great term, Uppity. Scary stuff, but it still makes me laugh every time I read it.
I must admit I’m enjoying the onlines progressives gnashing their teeth over FISA, the death penalty thing, Nafta and now Evangelicals.
It’s like BO is trotting out one major “piss off the left wing base” pander per day.
It’s fun to watch them scream.
I had just posted a comment similar to yours on another site. I guess great minds think alike!
(My post was much shorter, more like a summary.)
I was asked to forward the following email this morning by someone on ClintonDems:
Dear fellow Democrats,
I am pleased to inform you the first meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Texas Democratic Party Convention/Caucus System has been scheduled. Headed by Senator Royce West, this first of several meetings will convene at the Austin Community College Health Science Building, Building 9000 in the Multi Purpose Hall room 8500 in Austin, Texas on July 7, 2008 at 10:00am. The campus is located at 3401 Webberville Rd, Austin, Texas 78702.
This Committee which Senator West and I have appointed has been charged with studying the current convention/caucus system. Furthermore, based on the testimony taken at these meetings, the committee will then consider this feedback and possibly make recommendations for changes.
While all meetings will be open to the public, the first committee meeting will be limited to invited testimony only. Senator West and the Committee members wish to use this initial meeting as an informational session. They will discuss with current and former Party leaders the history and development of the current convention/caucus system.
Those wishing to participate at this meeting are encouraged to submit written testimony to the Committee, or complete an online survey, available on the Texas Democratic Party website. Additionally, there will be other hearings held in Austin and throughout the state where public testimony will be taken in order to learn about your personal experience with the convention/caucus system. Those hearings will be scheduled at a later date.
So whether it is by completing the online survey or by attending the upcoming Committee meetings, I hope you will take a moment to share your thoughts. Your feedback will play an important role as we continue to explore our current Democratic Primary process. Only by working together will we be able to grow and strengthen as a Party.
Thank you again for helping us make your Party stronger and more unified than ever before.
Your friend and fellow Democrat,
Boyd L. Richie
Chairman
They need the help.
In a shocking development that has confused the pundits, Senator Obama has thrown himself under the bus!
When confronted by his changed positions by a reporter, who in a flash of nostalgia finally remembered that questioning the candidates is the job of the press, Senator Obama proceeded to denounce himself.
Senator Obama: “This Senator Obama is not the man I used to know. He clearly represents the old style politics and not the future of change I espouse. I’m going ask him to quit his work on my campaign.”
LOL!
Cognitive dissonance…ain’t it a word that rhymes with WITCH!!! I do hope those Kosturds have coniption fits. It will serve them right.
I can’t help but laugh my ass off too…what’s next on his “Let’s have another one, just like the other one” list–No Child Left Behind?
It’s amazing how many people have noted the striking similarities between Bush and Obama. I’ve been saying it for a while and so have many others (like destardi, above). That we’ve all reached this viewpoint independently is interesting.
One other similarity they have is a love of props and costumes over substance: Dubya with his padded flight suit, Barky with his Preznential Seal.
If John McCain’s people were smart they would run ads highlighting how Obama, not McCain, is “more of the same.” It would distance JMcC further from Bush and make BO look really scary.
Hence the new nickname Black Bush
I’m totally on board with Mccain over Obama. And He is a real patriot, definitely. Look, I always opposed Clinton for president. I would not vote for Hillary Clinton for president if this were there the LAST candidate left on earth. I really don’t understand the loyalty people have for the Clinton’s, and I’d rather not know. God. Yikes. Hillary’s foreign policy ‘experience’ is largely made up, The Bosnia sniper fire thing, etc. I don’t agree with key positions and votes of Hillary. However, Obama’s positions and voting record are nothing special at all, to say the least. His empty calls for “hope” and “change” do NOT square in any way with his voting record. There are lots of reasons not to vote for Obama. And He switches positions often. It is deeply unfortunate that many Mccain supporters were once Clinton fans, but I’m willing to overlook that. Welcome aboard. Enjoy this alliance of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” However, In 2012, I’m voting Mccain over Clinton (or any Democrat) without apology.
