Quibbles and Bits - Faith-based Edition
By LisaB on July 1, 2008 at 10:35 PM in Barack Obama, Current Affairs
1) Barack Obama has found at least one Bush initiative he is willing to continue. Saying “The challenges we face today. . . are simply too big for government to solve alone. . . “, Obama announced he would support involving more religious charities in government anti-poverty work, according to an AP article.
Obama proposes to elevate the program to a “moral center” of his administration, by renaming it the Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and changing training from occasional huge conferences to empowering larger religious charities to mentor smaller ones in their communities.
Let’s just hope Obama doesn’t decide the “moral center” he hopes to establish doesn’t include those “spiritual advisors” he has relied on in the past.
Read the rest ->
2) Andrew Sullivan, at The Atlantic had this to say today about the faith-based proposal:
You could see this coming a while back. Obama has long been comfortable talking about his moderate to liberal Christianity, and has long been very much at ease with the social Gospel and mixing religion with politics. George W. Bush, meanwhile, went a very long way toward integrating his religious faith with big government, providing conservative legitimacy to the notion of religiously infused state-funded services.
Obama, for his part, has noticed that John McCain is extremely awkward when talking about religious faith in a political context, not terribly comfortable around holy rollers, and altogether a more secular figure.
So, Obama figures the evangelicals are up for grabs and he is just the candidate to make them crossover.
3) Of course, the backpedaling by Obama’s handlers has already begun. Apparently, Obama didn’t mean that faith-based partnerships should include the ability to hire and fire based on faith.
The Obama campaign says the AP’s first report this morning that Obama supports “their [faith-based organizations'] ability to hire and fire based on faith” is incorrect. In fact, Obama’s plan, they say, would prevent organizations from discriminating based on faith.
4) The New Republic, in a neat contortion, sees Obama’s embrace of faith-based groups using government funds as a campaign strategy to actually get votes from non-evangelical, low-information, ah, you know. . .
For the Obama campaign, I’d guess the targets of the ricochet [appearing to pander to evangelicals while actually targeting another group] are moderate, downscale whites who aren’t evangelicals themselves–and probably not even especially religious–but for whom Obama’s rapport with white evangelicals might be reassuring, especially amid all the false rumors of his secret Muslim identity.
5) In an earlier piece at the NYT (before the Ohio speech), John Broder writes about how the Obama campaign will go after evangelicals:
Between now and November, the Obama forces are planning as many as 1,000 house parties and dozens of Christian rock concerts, gatherings of religious leaders, campus visits and telephone conference calls to bring together voters of all ages motivated by their faith to engage in politics. It is the most intensive effort yet by a Democratic candidate to reach out to self-identified evangelical or born-again Christians and to try to pry them away from their historical attachment to the Republican Party.
———————Mr. Obama is building his appeal in part on calls to heal political rifts and address human suffering. He is also drawing on his own characteristics and story, including his embrace of Christianity as an adult, a facility with biblical language and imagery and comfort in talking about how his religious beliefs animate his approach to public life.
—————————-
Mr. Obama is also reaching out to young evangelicals, the so-called Joshua generation, a group that would seem to be a fertile ground for recruitment.
—————————–
In a brief video shown at the beginning of meetings with religious voters, Mr. Obama says he is “blessed” to help lead a conversation about the role of religious people in changing the world. He speaks of poverty and war, health care and unemployment, and says that addressing these problems “will require not just a change in government policy but a change of heart and a change of attitude.”
So, what do you make of that? Either Obama is going after evangelicals, or he is really trying to get the “low-information” voter derided during the primary. Hmmmm. Well, either way, the messianic aspects of this appeal to the faithful give me the willies.
6) Well, contrast that seeming care about poverty and traditional Democratic values with this from ABCnews on Obama’s flip on welfare reform:
“The shift in Obama’s rhetoric on welfare reform has proceeded in stages. When Clinton was poised to sign welfare reform while running for re-election in 1996, Obama called it ‘disturbing.’ A decade later, as an underdog running for president against Clinton’s wife, he spent 2007 avoiding the subject. By the time Obama emerged as the Democratic frontrunner in the spring of 2008, he began leaving the impression that he was for it all along.”
When asked twice during the primary if he would have signed such a bill, Obama refused to answer, saying that the issue was history and it was time to look ahead. However, once he became the frontrunner and Hillary suspended her campaign, Obama has a new ad:
“In an ad airing in 18 states, including 14 carried by President Bush in 2004, Obama is celebrating a reduction in the welfare caseload made possible by legislation he originally opposed.”
If you can bear it, the ad is here. It’s nauseatingly called “the Dignity Ad.”
Obama is moving ever further from positions staked out during the primary campaign, embracing positions he used to deride and is courting evangelicals. Is he trying to recreate the GWB base? Look for a flip flop on guns. Oh, wait. . .

I wonder if Al Gore is starting to squirm.
Of course, the backpedaling by Obama’s handlers has already begun. Apparently, Obama didn’t mean that faith-based partnerships should include the ability to hire and fire based on faith.
The Obama campaign says the AP’s first report this morning that Obama supports “their [faith-based organizations’] ability to hire and fire based on faith” is incorrect. In fact, Obama’s plan, they say, would prevent organizations from discriminating based on faith.
I advised earlier today to just wait and someone will come from his camp to tell us WORM. welp, here we go.
It already is illegal to hire based on religion.
Not exactly. A church can discriminate against a person when it hires for positions like secretary or accountant (hell, even grounds maintenance), hiring only people who demonstrate they are religious, or are of the same particular denomination.
Also, small-businesses can be exempt from certain EEOC provisions based on the number of people they hire as “full-time” (I believe a business with fewer than 10 “full-time” employees may be exempt from certain aspects of the EEOC).
In point of fact, religion has actually become the most discrimination-permitted facet in employment. Various businesses (especially local governments) have been sued for requiring employees to work on religious holidays or their “Sabbaths”. (Some State employees in Massachusetts filed suit because they were expected to work on Christmas.) They’ve faced lawsuits by women who believe their religious teachings forbid them from wearing slacks and feel discriminated against when they wear dresses or skirts (even when dresses and skirts are not practical). Children have died from their “religious” parents’ refusing to allow medical treatment and, surprisingly, SOME states actually allow such behavior because of a “deference” to “religious freedom”.
Ok, I’ve about had it. I’m starting to want to puke everytime he sets one of his ridiculous stories out.
Would it be safe to say that Obama is taking over Bush’s plan…(the faith-based proposal).yet another piece of work he stole from someone and going to claim as his own…
You mean “piece of shit”
“yet another piece of work”
I am yet to find anything Obama has claimed that is really his…
Yeah, he’ll be a Reagan kind of guy . . . if we’re lucky.
If Obama gets elected, you can follow the money on this expanded “faith based” doctrine and see where it flows and which churches will benefit from it.
Honestly ..I do not see how he could ever win..if they ever start covering the real Obama…not sure who that is…but if the major networks cover him with the kind of things in this article…it will be a land slide for McCain..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCeImyvNnZ0
I never thought George W. Bush had a chance of winning either but as you have seen both political parties will do anything from keeping voters from the polls (2000) to giving delegates from the candidate who won them to the candidate that lost them to make sure they could control who “won” (2008).
We can clinically observe what is going on at this moment and know the outcome of the election by the way events are portrayed by our “free” media. We all knew that even though Senator Clinton was winning the votes of the People she didn’t have a chance of being the candidate of the Democratic party. But this election hasn’t been quite so easy as the last three because of new groups of resistors like P.U.M.A. who have decided they just aren’t going to take it this time.
I agree, PUMA needs to stay strong and grow, beyond the internet into the MSM (print ads, commercials). If we really want to have an effect, we should try to shadow the Obama campagin. Where ever Obama dumps a lot of $$ for advertising…PUMA needs to be right there, a fly in the ointment.
And don’t forget his flip on gun control. The Hannity clip on the other thread very clearly exposes the long history of anti-gun rhetoric and policy he has endorsed. There is so much evidence out there on a variety of issues, it will be incredibly easy for the Republicans to paint him as untrustworthy and lacking in judgment. Since that is ALL he is running on, without any national experience to speak of, what else is there????
Oh yea, his speeches.
Thats the problem! NONE of the VOTERS are seeing what he REALLY is and ALOT of people (sad to say), just BELIEVE whatever they are told! The entire campaign just becoames more of a circus EVERYDAY and all the pundits and Hillary backstabbers just fall in line… Its beyond comprehension!
I think they need to “Reintroduce” the videos of the ‘faith’ and church that oblassole attended and was “inspired” by for 22 years. Bring back wright and farrakhan… REMIND the voters just exactly WHAT BHO TRULY IS!
You’re right. Ohblahma has been trying to insulate himself against that by making speeches and declaring that old news, off the table. Time for a trip down memory lane.
This is Obama’s way of answering tough questions: by saying it’s an old issue.
What a coward.
Obama’s explanation of his pander is so full of vagueries and feel-good BS I don’t even know where to begin.
But that is where the press has fallen down. If it was anyone else, they would not let it go and the story would get bigger. Obama says he doesn’t want to answer something, or doen’t want to debate, or didn’t really mean what he said etc. or just blatantly lies, and they drop it.
THAT has been the real problem here all along, and the only way Obama ever got this far.
I agree, they picked up, exaggerated and delibertly misrepresented Clintons words and then gloss over or spin Obamas in his favor.
McCain’s plans will become Obama’s plans….
Lie…lie …lie…he is against it when he needs to be…. until he needs to be for it….why don’t people see this? WHY?…what is wrong with Americans…are they not paying any attention at all…why won’t the MSM expose him…this country is in trouble if they don’t start covering this..what do they think all those present votes were about?…
Like I’m paying attention. Like wouldn’t it be so cool to have our first black president? That would be like history and he’s soooo cute!!!! Like how could you ever vote for that senile old grandpa? Yuck.
Obama needs to get out of anything that is faith-based. After selecting the big 3 of Wright, Pfleger, and Meeks as spiritual advisors Obama demonstrated he is clueless about faith. Those 3 clowns are nothing but radical activists.
I don’t even think Obama believes in God - plopping himself inside Wright’s nuthouse for two decades demonstrates that.
But he already sees president-ing will be too haaarrd, he needs their help:
Yes - that quote struck me as strange on many levels.
wtf…Larry Sinclair has a Radio Ad
Obama - Sinclair Radio Ad #0127

Here what I found on it:
A new radio ad that’s set to air on July 2nd:
Obama - Sinclair Radio Ad #0127http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdA0DNr7aBs
Press release for it:
http://www.newswiretoday.com/news/36469/
Their website
http://americashopefoundation.com/
Info from Youtube:
This ad, which is set to air in Virginia, Colorado, Florida, and Nevada, contains shocking allegations about Senator Obama related to drug use and adulterous homosexual activity. The news media has not done due diligence in investigating and reporting these serious allegations. Shouldn’t we know the facts about Obama, before we elect him President?
Larry Sinclairs comments on the video:
Larry Sinclair Says:
Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 9:14 pm
I am pleased to announce that I just got off the phone with America’s Hope Foundation and they WILL air the ads and will not under any circumstances allow the cesspool or any other group pressure or threaten them into pulling the ads. The foundation now has my contact numbers so they may contact me directly if need be.

Once Larry Sinclair has his hearing, scheduled for July 3, a lot may come out about the circumstances of his unusual arrest after the NPC press conference June 18. He’s almost raised enough money tonight to pay his attorney’s retainer; he’s very close. But if he doesn’t raise the $5,000, the hearing will be continued. http://tinyurl.com/577mxp
Some religious personalities have been following Larry’s story, and airing his allegations, such that Obama has his work cut out for him with them.
Off topic! If you’ve never been to Limbaugh’s site don’t be faint of heart. You have to see this. It made my whole day. BO didn’t fill the seats!!

doing the job the Drive-By Media used to do but won’t, i.e., tell you the truth.
I hate to say it but Rush is telling the truth..
Rush Limbaugh is a joke. He should have his license yanked for claiming he tampered with the elections.
Markos Moulitsos “tampered” with elections by telling his people to vote Republican in the Michigan primary.
What’s the difference?
Thank you. Me, too.
Thanks for that info. Won’t find it elsewhere, yet it was a great visual (of the minimal crowd) to see.
Larry Sinclair is on Jeff Rense live (radio) right now:

just click on a media player (realplayer works well)
duck wow!!!
Thanks for the info this is going to another level
No problem AA4HILL…
As I’ve been saying all along…
This thing is gonna BLOW
Are the so-called liberals from the Nation, the American Prospect, etc who have been swooning over this moron for months satisfied yet that they never really knew who this guy was and what he stood for and that the real progressive is ….HILLARY!
First the death penalty, then immunity for Telecoms and now this! The Bushiest of Bushes. I guess he wants money for Farrakhan, Wright, etc
This guy stands for nothing! I still can’t believe this is happening, especially this year when a good Dem should have been a shoe-in for Pres.
I’m disgusted
My research on Obama’s early June meeting in Chicago with Conservative religious leaders….Read them all to find out who’s who….scary as hell, in some cases…
So, What’s Obama Going to Give Away to Conservative Religious Leaders and Constitutional Law Profs Who Work with Ken Starr??

That tight of a relationship certainly explains his disdain for the Clintons. It sure did feel deeper than ‘campaign politics’, particularly what came from Michelle.
Oh, my god… Howard Dean had his hands in Barack Obama’s faith-based initiative all along.
So Obama wants the federal government (we pay the bills) to subsidize Black Liberation Theology …
Exactly.
Honestly - I think he wants to be a preacher, not a president, he just took a wrong turn. His speeches are preaching, he talks in that preacher cadence, Wright was his mentor.
The Obamabots are going crazy. There has been such a strong reaction to the faith story that they can’t believe that people will no longer support this guy.
Here is an example from digg.com
——————————————”
Proof that digg is full of idiots.
You can’t go pro-Obama to anti-Obama.
Next week you guys will be sucking off Bush.
But it’s not surprising, most people don’t actually read the article or comprehend what it’s saying beyond the black and white.
—————————————————–
They are trying to put a positive spin on it. I just don’t see how.
Re: Sinclair. This is FAR beyond what he originally alleges with Obama. I cannot believe the harassment this guy has received.
I also want to know why WordPress hasn’t shut down the cyberstalking blog which is the filthiest blog I have ever seen in my entire life. The only purpose it serves is to provide evidence for Sinclair in a criminal or civil lawsuit.
During the Bush 2000 campaign there was “reporter” with a disreputable past who claimed to have a story about Dubya’s military service or drug use or something. IIRC people said he had been targeted by Rove to release the information which would then be tainted by the compromised the messenger.
Do you happen to remember his name or the details?
Faith based poverty resources work real well. That’s why we have 1-2 million homeless people, a million people losing their houses, scores of working hungry families and millions with no health insurance. On top of this millions of charity dollars are redirected out of the US.
This Christian stuff causes me to seriously lose my cool. I have to go for a walk.
Peace and out
(I picked that up from some Obama kid pretending to be a “granny” and liked the sounds of it)
I think it is actually a good idea that would work if it were properly implemented. In actual practice it is a cover for graft.
Obama said he would do thing differently, he wants to change Washington, now he is taking one of Bush ideas so is this change or are we going to get exchange if Obama becomes president?
OT
I was a democrat for all my voting life. I was a dummy who really believed that the democrats wanted to make this country the best it could be.
Today I feel betrayed, angry, and stupid.
I will never vote for a democrat that backed obama. They are betraying this country.
Obama and his minions are what they are and will not change.
The democrats should have known better and thought more about the country than to back this racist - anti american - know nothing.
Sorry for the rant but today’s democratic party sickens me.
COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS
PUMA RULES
???? Had to repost this once again to show up … ;(

Obama “patriotism” waters down the separation of church and state!
This may reflect Obama’s 14 state strategy. He’s going after 14 red states that Bush won.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0608/11320.html
I thought this was an insightful comment:
The media’s main goal now is to surpress republican turnout by making Obama look like the inevitible winner.Thats’ what this scam about playing in red staes is designed to do. I find it interesting that Obama backed out of public financing so his small donors could go nuts showering him with money but he’s going to have enough extra money to dump into staes he’s going to lose. Liberals think money is the answer to all problems including winning elections. If you run ads painting Obama as your every day average American.people will believe it..Too bad there’s alternative media forpeople to find out what a phony liberal Obama really is. Obama wants the Christian vote while only cherry picking the parts he wants to believe.
I think we need to becareful not do dismiss Obama’s strategy to quickly. We are having fun on this blog laughing about Obama’s flip flops. This is a caculated move by the Obama camp. I don’t agree that they are just trying to surpress the Republican vote, although you may be right that that is a side benefit, I think they believe that they can compete in some, not all of the red states and expand the base. That may seem crazy to those of us here who are reading, as you say, the alternative media, but we have to remember, a lot of people don’t. Obama will as you say dump money into red states and force the down ticket Republicans to have to fight more on a local level. That means they will have less $$ to put into the top, forcing McCain to spend more $$ in areas he normally doesn’t have to and thereby leaving less for more hard fought states. Also, as you said, Obama will run ads in these states painting him as a regular Joe. He’s already doing this with his phoney biography folk tales. “Watching the astronaunts come ashore, while waving an American flag”, “sitting on his mother’s lap while she reads him the Constitution”
we laugh at these things because we know better, but its like hes making the big epic movie, scene by scene before the GE. That is why IMHO he needed Hillary out earlier, he wanted to start the GE in March…moving himself right, even to the right of McCain, as you say, cherry picking ideas, while holding onto his left base. How can he hold on to his left base with all the flip flops?? He’s got the MSM, Keith, Chris etal in his pocket. That’s why PUMAS need to help out ol’ Johnny McCain and shadow Obamas 14 state strategy, I think the PUMAS should have our own 14 state strategy!
I think Obama is setting up his GE election strategy. He’s going to run to the RIGHT of McCain. Not too hard since MCCain isn’t that well liked by the right. He keeps his left base while gleening a little from the right…14 state strategy.
Obama’a as Liberal as they come yet he is manipulating to get votes from Independents and the right.
It’s not like the left won’t vote for him, who else would they.
It’s all a political ploy.
By the way, he keeps telling us he’s going to implement more and more programs…where are we going to get all this money we don’t have?
I agree he pandered to the left to get his endorsements then with a wink, wink and a nod, nod he goes right. He’s not worried about where he gets the money to fund the programs, he just wants to win. He’s like the running back zipping in and out around the tackles, the MSM are the blockers.
WOW! And I’ll bet he names the honorable Louey Farrakhan to head it so the Rev NAW,NAW,NAW GAWD DAMN ameriKKKa! Wright can get his fair share! That 35 million dollar house gon take LOTS O initiative to stay aloat donchaknow? I swear to the GAWD dat ain’t THERE this just keeps getting better and BETTER! Where’s the obamazoids defending THIS? WORM? BWAHAHAHA! No, no stop, yer killin me…BWAHAHAHA! I can’t breath, stop…BWAHAHAHA!
And, and his NEXT joke is to go after the religous, shithouse rat CRAZY, ameriKKantalibangelical vote! Noe THERE’S GENIUS!!! BWAHAHAHA!
Obama apologists are being forced to justify so much that goes against their positions. They rationalize that he’s just trying to get elected, but when he has unprecidented presidential powers, he’ll remember them. NOT. There’s a sucker born every minute.
Oh, and Americans have strong feelings against Michelle Obama - and most of them don’t even know the worst about her yet. Who’d a thunk it?
Who’d ever have imagined Obama was a poor choice for a nominee? Golly, gee, let’s see…
Same old stuff, just a new Enforcer.
Although Obama’s “faith based” tax payer assistance may go to different religious groups than Bush’s choices the results are exactly the same - UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Strange position for a proclaimed “teacher” of Constitutional Law to take.
I agree…it a very strange position.
And of course he dropped the ‘inner city’ tag.
Wright, Pfleger, Farrakan, ‘Rev’ Jackson, ‘Rev’ Sharpton, etc.
I was wondering how he would support AA and Arab/Muslim communities, while excluding other races within the middle classes.
This answered the question.
He could directly funnel money to these churches under these programs.
With the data that the left leaning churches apply for this money more, it seems like he can exclude his white, religious, gun toting, small town bigots, that he has been bashing at the same time.
It is clear the man doesn’t deal well with challenges on him as a person.
Nevermind as the Presidential candidate…I see this as a possible tip of the spear for revenge/neglect on those groups who don’t drink the kool-aid.
Wasn’t sure where to put this link. This has to do with Obama saying he supported care of the vets while not showing up to vote on the bill. Got this from hillaryclintonforum
But a Coburn amendment, Obama voted yes to take 100 million form the bill for veterans to support the RNC & DNC conventions.
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LI…n=1&vote=00121
Correction it was an “emergency appropriations bill.
This link might also work if the one above does not.
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=110&session=1&vote=00121
Everyday I wonder who Barack Obama is going to pretend to be today? And it’s always someone new. But one thing that remains constant is that he’s a shady character.
Come on, Barry, just be yourself.
Or is that reality too scary? I had a friend who lied so much about his life that I think he started to believe the lies. Eventually he lost everthing - his job, his family, his respect because nothing was real or of value anymore. The line between fact and fiction becomes blurred and I bet that’s where the “Senator” is at. What’s true? What’s not? Does he even remember?
And, yes, I used “Senator” in quotes because, really, what work has he done as a Senator, in Illinois or D.C.? None. He’s just a puppet.
Obama’s faith based initiative??????? yall ready for an Islamic State governed by Islamic law? Just think, Obama voted “present” at least 130 when he was a state senator in Illinois. But for some reason he saw fit to actually cosponsor a bill that would make an Islamic law become a part of the Illinois state laws back in 2001. The bill that became law was the Halal Food Act that would require the Department of Agriculture to inspect and insure that all animals killed for food would be prayed over and processed by a Muslim according to Islamic law.
http://tinyurl.com/preview.php?num=6r5ney
Whew! I had not heard THAT. I soooooo loathe the “present” dodge and is this Halal Food Act something that would apply to food labeled in a certain way, or is it for anything?
There are at least a dozen reasons why Evangelicals will not vote for BO. But just wait till it becomes common knowledge that, as an IL senator, he kept a bill from the floor that would mandate hospitals to attempt the saving of born-alive and viable aborted babies–who were being laid aside to die! No excuse will get him out of that one. Obama must surely have a god complex. He must believe that people are just yearning for a reason to vote for him–so he’ll give everyone a “reason”. Then, they can just tune out every flip-flop he performs and every argument made against him–so he must think. Obviously, his cultish followers, mostly youth and black, are doing just this.
Ugh, the born-alive thing, let’s get off that one. It’s the one thing he’s done that I agree with and that actually showed him having some backbone. And for the record, there is no such thing as a “born-alive abortion ” or a “partial-birth abortion.” Those are terms invented by religious whackazoids, not medical professionals, who will tell you that late-term abortions (the actual term) are almost never done except to save the life of the mother. Sorry, to me mothers beat fetuses. Any day.
Hmm, that last sentence sounded weird, what I meant was, “the life of an actual live mother is more important than the potential life of a fetus.” Sorry if it came out sounding weird.
Yes, I don’t think anyone reading this thought you meant that mother’s would beat the fetus’!
Darn right Obama better start the Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. The thought of Obama running the country has everybody praying.
Obama says change comes from the bottem up and I’m running for the highest office in the land. So I guess that lets him off the hook totally.

I don’t think its a matter of pointing out the “bad” churches that the tax payer, public monies go to vs. the “good” churches. The point is that separation of church and state should be maintained. Public funds should not go to religious organizations for any reason. Public funds should go to public programs, public education and government programs.

(July 2, 2008) America’s Hope Foundation Announces Two New Radio Ads Concerning Barack Obama to Air in Several States
NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Charlottesville, VA, United States, 07/01/2008
http://www.newswiretoday.com/news/36469/
The America’s Hope Foundation, which has planned to air both TV and Radio ads aimed at exposing the truth about Barack Obama, has announced two new radio ads which begin airing in several swing states on July 2, 2008.
America’s Hope Foundation, which plans to run TV and Radio ads in swing states throughout the United States from July to November, announces two new radio ads that will begin airing on July 2, 2008 in markets across the country. The ads may be heard on the Foundation’s website (see below).
The ad descriptions follow:
• Obama – Iran ad – This ad focuses on the discrepancies in Obama’s statements related to the nuclear situation in Iran. In his own words, Obama downplays Iran’s threat level, only to dramatically reverse himself two days after. This ad calls into question whether Obama, who seems to have such an elementary grasp of foreign policy issues, will be able to keep the American people safe in this time of war. This ad is airing in Virginia, Nevada, Colorado, Indiana, and Alaska.
