Senator Obama and Patriotism: If You’re Explaining, You’re Losing

By all accounts, I suppose the mainstream media will now take it upon themselves to wax rhapsodic over Senator Obama’s latest speech today in Independence, Missouri – this one on patriotism, just in time for the 4th of July festivities.

There are many noble sentiments expressed in that speech so I won’t take issue with it on its face. Then again, with 20 speechwriters, including some who worked for Kennedy, invoking the great specters of Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington and Roosevelt and our noble goals for America, how can you go wrong?

The problem, therefore, is not with the speech, but with the man delivering it.

I hate to give the cretin Chris Matthews any oxygen whatsoever, but I must say, even a broken clock is right twice a day. At one point during the primary, he said in reference to the Obama campaign : “If you’re explaining, you’re losing.”

And here again, Obama is explaining. For me, more at issue than his patriotism are his qualifications. But if he feels he needs to take the time to make sure people know how patriotic he is, well, he doth protest too much, methinks:

“So let me say this at the outset of my remarks, I will never question the patriotism of others in this campaign. And I will not stand by when I hear others question mine.”

To wit, his speech, in which he spoke about the struggles of America and how, though we fall short of the ideals of our founding fathers, we are still the best country on earth and will always reach for those goals.

So what noble goal is Senator Obama pursuing then, that allows him and his surrogates to call none other than William Jefferson Clinton a racist and smear his legacy, bamboozling those too young to remember how much good Bill and Hillary did for the African American community, and certainly America as a whole, as Obama urges voters to forget about eight years of peace and prosperity, a balanced budget, a surplus in the hundreds of billions and lower unemployment.

He allows his surrogates to unjustly tear down those encroaching upon him and then stands nobly above the fray so he can deliver pretty speeches like this, unhampered and seemingly innocent.

He cautions that our government is piling up mountains of debt, putting off changes to our energy policies and “placing short term interests ahead of the nation’s long-term well being.” How is it then that he voted in favor of Bush/Cheney’s energy bill while both Senators Clinton and McCain voted against it? Why does Obama trash the policies of good Democrats only to tout Reaganomics – the era of junk bonds, double digit interest rates and an end to the Fairness Doctrine.

He eloquently discussed Martin Luther King, Jr., ‘a patriot who led the movement to help America confront her tragic history of racial injustice, and the young soldier who first spoke about the prisoner abuse at Abu Graib.’ Patriotic, too.

He then spoke in glowing terms about John McCain’s patriotism and service to his country, right after General Wesley Clark – surely at the Obama campaign’s behest – was dispatched to Face The Nation on Sunday to say that McCain’s service and sacrifice, while great and honorable, did not necessarily qualify him to be President. When the sound bite did not play well, it was at that point, Obama threw General Clark, also a patriot, under the bus.

Ironically, he also mentions the tragedy now occurring in Zimbabwe, where a corrupt leader and his young followers, are threatening those who do not vote for him with death. Certainly, I am by no means equating their situation with ours.

Surely, we don’t have to fear danger in this country if we vote our conscience, but the threats, harassment and rudeness some of Senator Clinton’s supporters have received at the hand of Senator Obama’s more reckless followers and ‘blogger boyz’ doesn’t seem in keeping with the spirit of independence, liberty and unity Senator Obama is discussing.

Why has he never used his powerful and soaring rhetoric to stand up and tell those guilty of this abusive behavior that this would absolutely not be tolerated in this new post-partisan world he is forging? Rather he has advantaged himself by their crude behavior, and he was also all too happy to have a complicit media chime in and help trash Senator Clinton and her voters to the bargain.

He mentions Harry Truman, yet does not seem dedicated enough to carry out Truman’s wishes in aiming to providing health care for every American, as Senator Obama’s plan would clearly leave about 16 million out.

He speaks of his mother reading the Declaration of Independence to him as a child: “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal.” Admirable for a mother to share that with her young son. Well, we are all created equal.

Since he’s brought it up, why then, if he is such a champion of equality and a champion of women, are the women on Senator Obama’s campaign staff earning significantly less than the men? Actually, John McCain employs more women on his staff than men, and the women are paid higher salaries than their male counterparts. So who is the progressive here? Who speaks to equality for all?

As Senator Obama asks how we restore our faith in government that seems increasingly removed from its people and dominated by special interests, he would be well served to ask himself why he campaigned on a platform he seems determined now to repudiate and run from. His capitulation on FISA and reneging on his promise to use public campaign financing spring immediately to mind.

While he is waxing poetic about patriotism, he would also do well to look in the mirror and ask himself why, if he, as Teddy Kennedy put it, embodies the nobler aspirations of the American people – is Senator Obama so divisive, instead of a uniting force?

Why have he and his surrogates spent months denigrating those who did not vote for him? Bitter, clueless, uneducated, racist, Archie Bunkers, over the hill, Hillary hags and the like. How is this behavior befitting of the patriot and great leader, Martin Luther King, Jr., whose name he constantly evokes as if he is so ready to follow in his footsteps?

Senator Obama is the presumptive nominee. Supposedly the standard bearer of our party. Why, then, would he allow the DNC to use the talking point that those who will not vote for him are afraid of him because of his race? Why always excuses and blame?

Perhaps some do not feel he is qualified for the office with his paper thin resume and a voting record that thus far, have not exhibited moral courage or a firm stand on the issues.

A leader capable of the unifying qualities Obama discusses so beautifully in his speech and purports to possess must understand how to reach out to others, to give of him or herself and make this election about the voters, to humble himself if necessary by reaching out to people with whom he has not yet been able to find a connection. True leadership does not disparage. It is not arrogant or aloof. It seeks solutions, not excuses.

I cannot help but feel that his speeches, filled with rich imagery, are meant to distract from the issue at hand, rather than to focus on it. The issue was, is, and will remain Senator Obama and whether he is ready and fit to lead this country in conquering the struggles that we face.

We don’t need smoke and mirrors or a distraction. We don’t need any more lofty generalities in this country. We have had enough of words that accomplish little.

I don’t have a problem with his words. I have misgivings about actions that do not match the rhetoric. As we approach Independence Day, it is important for all of us to remember the rights all our ancestors fought for, regardless of our backgrounds or respective heritage.

The freedoms we enjoy today will only be maintained in full if we continue to be vigilant and voice our concerns, protest when we must and hold our leaders’ feet to the fire. That includes holding Senator Obama’s feet to the fire when he does an about face on the very things he pretends to stand for, purporting to be so liberal while cozying up to big business and ignoring the working people of this country and now, too, those on the left who elevated and supported his campaign in the first place.

Patriotism is about many things. It is about courage. It is about unshakeable principles. I have heard it said that you will never know what your principles truly are until they become inconvenient to you.

Unfortunately, Senator Obama has thus far shown that what becomes inconvenient also becomes immediately disposable. How patriotic is that?

Wait until Mississippi goes for McCain too. When I did phone banking in that state, I was impressed with the amount of independents who didn’t want to vote for him and were on the fence. No other state had as many undecided independents as Mississippi.

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-07-02 07:53:30

According to the Fibonacci code, Mississippi will be the state that decides this election for McCain.

“If you’re explaining, you’re losing.”

Obama is channeling the insecurities of the Vietnam War protester generation-member who finds him or herself now seeking political office. He has lots of John F. Kerry types advising him, Obama nearly said “global test” the other day. Obama doesn’t realize the Kerry tactics are not a good model, but were specially crafted for Kerry’s history and faults.

Comment by SBwa | 2008-07-01 17:42:08

That is why Obama looked like an ass yesterday when he sent Clark to attack McCain’s leadership potential.

You have to accomplish something to be able to talk about it.

And I don’t think his political accomplishments for Ayers, Rezko, et al are exactly the type to win over the voters since it was their tax money that paid “the bills”.

His blatant “borrowing” the accomplishments of others just says he doesn’t have a very high opinion of We the People’s intellect.

Comment by bonnie | 2008-07-03 02:51:26

I think 8 yrs in the military for him to grow up and come back to see if he can stay on the straight and narrow before trying for the highest house in the land!
After all is that not what people look at some days a good boot camp?

He needs to see it and feel the real world first hand before he can try look after everything that is going on in these trying times.
A one page resume means nothing!! In fact is damn scary…… A good speech means nothing its JUST WORDS!

Noble ideas are fine. MLK talked peace and tolerance and walked the walk. Obama talks peace, tolerance, and patriotism but does nothing to stop the attacks on those who don’t support him. He goes after his fellow African Americans (or at least his surrogates do) and nothing is said. Yet we’re being told that he’ll be good for black Americans. Which ones? The ones that agree with him? What happens to those who don’t?

And honestly you think Donna Brazile is in charge? That she was the one calling the shots? Look at her resume. Point out the accomplishments, the victories. The Clintons were out manuevered in the caucases. I have left the DNC and changed my affiliation, but I will not boycott news organizations. A wise man reads all sides; Al Jazeera.net CNN.com, the BBC.co.uk, FoxNews, etc. I don’t read just one source.

Comment by Jimbus | 2008-07-01 17:18:45

Brazile has worked on several presidential campaigns for Democratic candidates, including Jimmy Carter-Walter Mondale in 1976 and 1980, Jesse Jackson in 1984, Walter Mondale-Geraldine Ferraro in 1984, and for Richard Gephardt in the 1988 Democratic primary.

After Gephardt lost the primary in 1988, Brazile served as deputy field director of the Michael Dukakis general election campaign. On October 20, 1988, she made news by telling a group of reporters that George H.W. Bush needed to “‘fess up” about unsubstantiated rumors of an extramarital affair. Said Brazile, “”The American people have every right to know if Barbara Bush will share that bed with him in the White House.”[2] The Dukakis campaign immediately disavowed her remarks and, at the suggestion of campaign manager Susan Estrich, Brazile resigned the same day. Four years later, the same issue, the relationship of George H.W. Bush and Jennifer Fitzgerald would be briefly rehashed during the 1992 campaign against Bill Clinton, who had his own extramarital affair rumors.

In the 1990s, Brazile served as Chief of Staff and Press Secretary to Congressional Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton of the District of Columbia, where she helped guide the District’s budget and local legislation on Capitol Hill. She advised Bill Clinton’s campaign for the presidency in 1992 and for re-election in 1996.

In 1999, Brazile was appointed deputy campaign manager and was later promoted to campaign manager of the 2000 presidential campaign of Vice-President Al Gore, becoming the first African-American woman to manage a presidential campaign.

Obama says he will not question the patriotism of others, and that he will never stand by while his OWN patriotism is question. He does not, however, say that he will intervene when his supporters impugn the patriotism of an opponent. What a class act. Takes Courage.

Patriotism is just another one of those issues Obama can’t win on, and therefore, according to Obama, should be off-limits for the duration of the campaign. Put it on the list along with:

Associates (including domestic terrorists and slumlords)
Wives
Place of Birth
Experience (or lack thereof)

Lying about Watergate did.

A blowjob didn’t get Clinton in trouble.

Lying about it did.

No politician is any cleaner than the rest of us. Too much power has been garnered by the Bush administration to be entrusted into the hands of George Soros and Barack Obama.

Hillary Clinton campaigned to reverse not only Bush’s tax cuts, but his abuses on our rights as well.

Obama is a puppet. Bush is a puppet.

Comment by Susaninbosque | 2008-07-01 20:34:11

My brain keeps telling me that he is a Republican puppet… there’s Rove somewhere in those thar hills behind Obama’s campaign. Rove is not a one-trick pony and it seems to me that they have three shots at keeping the WH in the hands of the cabal that would not impeach Bush. The first chance is the declaration of martial law – an October surprise for sure… no election. Second chance is Obama cause he’s owned by the guys who know how to buy stuff best. Third chance is McCain but my hunch is they intend to steal the election out from under McCain who doesn’t always obey….

Martial law is going to piss off a lot of people so I’d put my money on Obama if possible.

Only Hillary can stop this one and we need to do whatever we can to keep those options for Hillary alive.

That’s why he gave this speech: the best defense is a good offense. He is trying to inoculate himself to the inevitable 527 onslaught that is going to attack his questionable patriotism. He can make himself look noble by praising McCain (while allowing his surrogates to bash him) so that when he gets attacked for not saluting the flag, and Wright’s comments, he can play the victim and try to blunt the effect.

Good luck with that you phony.

I feel that Obama is laying it on way too thick by offering up too many “let me inspire you” speeches. Most great leaders can be inspiring at times, but they are not so self-conscious about it as is our golden boy who seems intent on regularly telling us “what for”.

He is also pretty much playing to the choir at this point because the blue collar voters that he needs to reach want to hear more about bread and butter issues and his high-falutin’ lectures are probably viewed as more talking down to them and an ultimate turnoff.

Although I love beautiful language and rhetoric, I stopped listening to Obama long ago because its really getting old and the one who delivers the message has become an insufferable bore.

Comment by John | 2008-07-01 17:07:45

But the new CNN/ORC polls shows the race gets even tighter when the two most prominent third-party presidential candidates are considered. In a four way match-up that includes independent candidate Ralph Nader and Libertarian candidate Bob Barr, Obama’s lead over McCain dwindles to 3 percentage points, 46 percent to 43 percent. he’s lied about all sorts of stuff in his biography, and nobody cares. is this the african sister? she came to visit him in illinois via greyhound bus from some rural area (where she had a friend she was visiting). obama wrote about the episode in his book, but said that he went to pick her up at o’hare airport, and he tries to make it dramatic by talking about all the international people.
she told the new york times he lied about it. that he picked her up at the crappy greyhound station at like 2 in the morning.
nobody seemed to care then. i doubt they’ll care now.
every time he tells stories about himself or his family he is totally making stuff up.
i think it was a habit he formed early on, since his father abandoned them and his mom was sort of a hippie. i think he needed to invent stories to feel normal as a child, which is understandable. but he is an adult now and should know better (and should be over whatever insecurities he had as a kid)

I never even saw that many “international people” hanging around the baggage area. I disagree. I listened to this speech, watched a live feed and thought Obama was off his game. He kept swinging his head from one teleprompter to the next [very distracting]. The speech was riddled with cliche and standard stock July 4th rhetoric, and the story of him sitting on Mom’s knee and hearing the Declaration of Independence sounded like fiction, the stuff of legend, totally disingenuous.

What rec’d a standing ovation was a Mark Twain quote:

“Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.”

From the reaction, you might have thought that Obama came up with that all by himself.

After I listened to the whole presentation, I decided this man’s public speaking creds are not based “on the words.” Referencing Washington and Jefferson, Adams and Lincoln does not make a great speech. Obama’s talent is in the pacing, the cadence with which the words are delivered. It’s a lullabye. The sort of thing you sing to children when you want them sleeping, less troublesome and wearisome.

There’s nothing new here. It’s the same song, delivered in a different register. And the Obama folks hope we’re lulled by the music and don’t ask any questions.

Obama has a great career as a stand up comedian. He cracks me up – the dissociation between words (someone else’s) and the person delivering it is just too much!

I got to thinking about what an Obami cabinet would look like – they will be selected based on:

1. whether they supported him from the beginning
2. whether they have the right skin color (whatever the color, it’s not going to be Asian)
3. whether they have the right religion (Muslims need not apply)
4. whether they are straight (gays need not apply)

There’s probably other things that have slipped my mind.

If you are female, be prepared to do grunt work and get less pay than your male colleagues in Obamaworld.

Another great post Ani. I am so tired of this guy and his transparent strategies and empty persona. Frankly, I’ve never understood the fascination with his speeches–they all sound like someone else wrote them and he is imitating truly great leaders from the past. No one is home with Obama. Blah blah blah, it’s extremely boring. He is so in love with the sound of his own voice–too bad he never actually DOES anything (like show up to vote for difficult bills on the Senate floor).

Fall for this snake oil salesman if you want to. I will not. I see him as a fake. Anyone can read a well prepared speech given how many writers work on it for him. Off the cuff at debates he sounds stupid and ah ah ah. I am beginning to believe that America is finished and we might as well get our burkas ready. Obama is no more a Christian than the devil himself. He is the same as Wright and his other Muslim loving buddies. Anti-American all the way to the bank. Thanks George Soros. Thanks Pelosi and Dean et al. There are just too many who are falling for this fraud. He’ll fix the race the same as he fixed the primary. I don’t have much faith left anymore for America. I believe in free speech, too. What I don’t believe in is the lack of accountability in the media where opinion, speculation and the talking points of a favored candidate are spewed over and over again until they become fact. And most people are none the wiser — that they are being bamboozled.

I checked — there is not really any controlling body to stop this kind of libel from happening.

Thanks so much for your comments.

Whose to judge who is libeling? That’s where you run into the free speech issue. In Russia only one party gets it’s word out, libelous or not. Is that what you want? Some Democrats want to shut down talk radio because the views expressed are mainly from the Right. This is America. You can’t shut down speech because you don’t like it.
I certainly understand the frustration. The bias towards Obama now makes me want to scream every day! But the alternative to free speech is not a pretty thought.

Obama says the challenges we face today is from putting people back to work to improving our schools, from saving our planet to combating HIV/AIDS to ending genocide.

What planet does Barky live? How the hell can people work if we can’t buy the Damn gas?

Barky smiles like a possum eating chit lying about his mother teaching him core values of America….Yeah sure she did! Barky, your mother was communist and absolutely Anti American…

Remember Barky saying he was qualified having foreign policy experience because he visited Pakistan? He visited there alright, but the reason was his mother moved there from Indonesia.

His Faith Based message came from Wright and his foreign policy experience came from visiting his mother in Pakistan…

It’s time for Obama to stop yapping about being a community activist and go back to acting like one. This nation is awash in guns. And despite the Supreme Court majority’s myopic notion of the Second Amendment and its Revolutionary War rhetoric of “a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state,” the only militias in our streets today are run by drug-dealing gang-bangers.

While it’s fair to question just how successful handgun bans have been in reducing the murder rate — which has spiked 13 percent in Chicago this year — it’s also critical to engage in a bold dialogue about this country’s obsession with its guns.

If not gun bans, then what? If not now, when?

Barack Obama is a different kind of candidate, with a capacity to move this nation as it hasn’t been moved in years. But with every carefully calibrated statement he makes, the less moved we may be, and the less different he may become.

Nothing agreed to, no surprise there, but the proposed three debates are:

Sept. 26 at the University of Mississippi, in Oxford, Miss.

Oct. 7 at Belmont University, in Nashville, Tenn., the town hall session.

Oct. 15 at Hofstra University, in Hempstead, N.Y.

The proposed vice presidential debate:
Oct. 2 at Washington University, in St. Louis.

It is long, didn’t read it yet and don’t know who put it out but it looks interesting. It just seemed to fit your post about an ob patriotism speech.

I have no interest in listening to the man for a single minute more of my time. I still haven’t even heard (or will I ever) his Race speech. I’d already given up hearing the slightest bit of truth from him by the time he gave that one. All I kept thinking was “20 years?!?” Not interested in ever sipping on the kool-aid, no way, no how.

Clark On McCain: Keep Talking, General
Editorial
Union Leader
July 1, 2008

Here is how retired Gen. Wesley Clark chose to peddle Barack Obama for President over John McCain:

“(McCain) hasn’t held executive responsibility. That large squadron in the Navy that he commanded — that wasn’t a wartime squadron. I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become President.”

Hasn’t held executive responsibility? Let’s see, Obama’s executive responsibilities have included what? Right. The answer is: nothing. And thank you, Gen. Clark, for pointing out that John McCain commanded the largest fighter squadron in the U.S. Navy. He didn’t just command it; he turned it around.

“Although plagued by fatal accidents in the past, the squadron had no fatalities under his command . . . and won its first meritorious unit citation. Mr. McCain’s success attracted notice among the admirals in Washington,” The New York Times reported in 2000.

McCain’s qualifications do not come from being shot down. They come from a career in military and foreign affairs in which McCain displayed an uncommon strength of character and developed a sound judgment in those fields, which are so critical to the United States in this dangerous world.

His opponent, a career lawyer and politician, has shown that his own judgment in those areas is naive and ill-considered. Clark highlights those differences every time he seeks to denigrate McCain’s service.

IT’S FINALLY OUT! As I suspected and feared, Obama is prepared to have his government (should he be elected) spend hundreds of millions on his favorite church’s—the black liberation churches would obviously be at the top of his list—using its special means to convince, reeducate, and brainwash. Just as he defended Trinity by saying, “but it also has after school programs” and such—he really and truly believes that his anti-semetic, anti-white, divisive reverand buddies are justified in their hate-spewing sermons because they also have things like soup kitchens and drug clinics! THIS WOULD BE OUR NEW GOVT.—run by the Pfleger’s and Wright’s of B.O.s religious camps!!!!

He’ll soon be explaining his positions(s) on gay marriage. http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=Y2VkMjk0Mjg5NTllOGJiMGI2MTQ0MDIxMzYyNTk3OTM=

Obama to LGBT Group: ‘I want to congratulate all of you who have shown your love for each other by getting married these last few weeks.’

I hesitate to poke at Obama for offering a kind word, but in that letter to the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club, Obama further muddies his position on gay marriage:

Finally, I want to congratulate all of you who have shown your love for each other by getting married these last few weeks.

How this squares with his “I don’t believe in gay marriage” statement from March 2, 2008 is not clear.

Is his position essentially, “I don’t believe that your relationship is really a marriage, but congratulations on your marriage?”

I have questioned Obama’s patriotism for a long time. I never thought he had any. I have heard him say several times that the US if full of flaws. That is tantamount to saying that the team that won the World Series is full of flaws. One is capable of finding people in countries of much lower quality of life, rights, etc. that will demonstrate more patriotism than Obama even though their countries in comparison to US are full of flaws.

Obama says just elect him and he will heal this nation. This is shear arrogance on his part. If the US was that bad everyone would be running to get out of here rather than trying to get in.

When someone tells me I can’t question something, it makes me want to question it all the more. In America, all it’s citizens are guaranteed the unbridged rights of free speech, just maybe not in Obama’s “Changed” America. The narrative the last few weeks from the Obama camp has been, “You can’t question my…” Nobody would have questions if the MSM had done it’s job in the first place.

I will question Obama’s patriotism…

Was it patriotic to sit in Pastor Wright’s church for 20 years while he spewed racial epithets? Spreading conspiracy theories such as spreading AIDS amongst the black population? Referring to the U.S. as the U.S. of KKK A? God**mn America?

Was it patriotic to enlist the monetary support and blessings of domestic terrorists’ William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn for your campaigns?

For the first time in my adult life I’m proud of my country? We’re a country that is downright mean?

Actions speak louder than… Just Words.

Why? Because Obama will always be Number 2. Always trying to catch up to the legacy of our only Democratic president since 1980.

He could attempt to destroy Senator Clinton with his sexist ideology but President Bill Clinton was a man and immune to the strategy of second class citizenship so Obama’s only weapon was racism. It must be galling for a man with his arrogance to have to pander to both Clintons; to always be second.

The prison experts have reported that there are 100,000 innocent Americans currently being falsely imprisoned along with the 2,300,000 total US prison population nationwide.

Since our US Congress has never afforded poor prison inmates federal appeal legal counsel for their federal retrials, they have effectively closed the doors on these tens of thousands of innocent citizens ever being capable of possibly exonerating themselves to regain their freedom through being granted new retrials.

This same exact unjust situation was happening in our Southern States when poor and mostly uneducated Black Americans were being falsely imprisoned for endless decades without the needed educational skills to properly submit their own written federal trial appeals.

This devious and deceptive judicial process of making our poor and innocent prison inmates formulate and write their own federal appeal legal cases for possible retrials on their state criminal cases,is still in effect today even though everyone in our US judicial system knows that without proper legal representation, these tens of thousands of innocent prison inmates will be denied their rightful opportunities of ever being granted new trials from our federal appeal judges!!

Sadly, the true US *legal* Federal Appeal situation that occurs when any of our uneducated American prison inmates are forced to attempt to submit their own written Federal Appeals (from our prisons nationwide) without the assistance of proper legal counsel, is that they all are in reality being denied their legitimate rights for Habeas Corpus and will win any future Supreme Court Case concerning this injustice!

For our judicial system and our US Congressional Leaders Of The Free World to continue to pretend that this is a real and fair opportunity for our American Middle Class and Working Poor Citizens, only delays the very needed future change of Federal Financing of all these Federal appeals becoming a normal formula of Our American judicial system.

It was not so very long ago that Public Defenders became a Reality in this country.Prior that legal reality taking place, their were also some who thought giving anyone charged with a crime a free lawyer was a waste of taxpayers $$.

WITH 80% OF THE BLACK AMERICAN VOTERS SAYING THEY SUPPORT SENATOR OBAMA IN THIS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, IT IS ONLY FAIR FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW PRIOR BEING ELECTED OUR NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES HOW THIS DEMOCRATIC SENATOR TRULY FEELS ABOUT THIS AMERICAN JUDICIAL INJUSTICE CONTINUING TO INFLICT GRAVE HARM ON THE BLACK & LATINO AMERICAN FAMILIES AND THEIR COMMUNITIES NATIONWIDE ??????

*** WHEN GOD’S FACE BECAME VERY RED *** THE US SUPREME COURT GAVE ENEMY COMBATANTS FEDERAL APPEAL HC RIGHTS LAWYERS AND PROPER ACCESS TO US FEDERAL COURTS,AND POORER AMERICANS (MANY EVEN ON DEATH ROW) ARE DENIED PROPER FEDERAL APPEAL LEGAL REPRESENTATION TO OUR US FEDERAL COURTS OF APPEAL, AND ROTTING IN AMERICAN PRISONS NATIONWIDE ?????????

**** INNOCENT AMERICANS ARE DENIED REAL HC RIGHTS WITH THEIR FEDERAL APPEALS ! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE $LOWLY FINDING OUT HOW EA$Y IT I$ FOR MIDDLE CLA$$ AND WORKING POOR AMERICAN$ TO FALL VICTIM TO OUR U$ MONETARY JUDICIAL $Y$TEM.

****WHEN THE US INNOCENT WERE ABANDONED BY THE GUILTY **** The prison experts have reported that there are 100,000 innocent Americans currently being falsely imprisoned along with the 2,300,000 total US prison population nationwide.

***WHERE ARE AMERICA’S RELIGIOUS LEADERS ???????

Sadly, the true US *legal* Federal Appeal situation that occurs when any of our uneducated American prison inmates are forced to attempt to submit their own written Federal Appeals (from our prisons nationwide) without the assistance of proper legal counsel, is that they all are in reality being denied their legitimate rights for Habeas Corpus with our US FEDERAL COURTS and will win any future Supreme Court Case concerning this injustice!

This FACADE and HORROR of our Federal Appeal proce$$ is not worthy of the Greatest Country In The World! ***GREAT SOCIETIES THAT DO NOT PROTECT EVEN THEIR INNOCENT, BECOME THE GUILTY !

A MUST READ ABOUT AMERICAN INJUSTICE:
1) YAHOO 2) GOOGLE MANNY GONZALES THE KID THAT EVERYONE FORGOT IN THE CA PRISON SYSTEM.
** A JUDICIAL RIDE OF ONES LIFE !

***Someone please tell our US Congress that the GED degree that Manny Gonzales acquired in prison is not a LAW DEGREE !!!!!!
