This is the reality: Obama had to win Iowa or his campaign would have ended there. He was behind twenty points in Mi. What better way to gain support from Iowa caucus goers than to take your name off the ballot in a state you couldn’t win? Then you can go back to a committee stacked in your favor and they will give you all the votes for a candidate going by the name of Undecided even if some of those votes were intended for Dodd, Biden or Richardson. They will even give you an additional four votes based on some unnamed poll. Then you start running national ads in Florida in violation of the “rules”, but never mind. That same committee will cut the votes in half there by cutting in half the number of Hillary delegates. Then there is the added bonus of Iowa being so close to your home state and do easy for the Chicago mob to move in , assisted by moveon, and there you have it.

Now, being the neophyte you are, you might just say, “God is good. How lucky and blessed Obama is.” And I will say bulls#@t. This is the old Chicago political combine and the new, dirty DNC politics. There was no way Hillary would have agreed to stripping Fl. and Mi. She didn’t have a choice in signing the pledge. If you already understand all of this and approve, you can go to hell. If you didn’t understand, perhaps you will think about it.

1) There is no greater issue in this or any other election than protecting the civil liberties of Americans and it mutes all other considerations.

2) Foreign Policies? Which are you referring to? Demeaning the most powerful position in the world by reaching out his hand to Castro, Ahmandinejad and Kim Jung Il? Or maybe he will hold Ahmandinejad hand and face kiss him. That would be a wonderful picture to show to the world. And what exactly what is his policy re. Pakistan and Iraq? Hillary Clinton knows more about diplomacy than he will ever know and McCain? Confucius: He who knows not and knows he knows not, he is a child, teach him. He who knows not and knows not that he knows not, he is a fool. Shun him. I would rather take a chance with McCain knowing when he needs advice than Obama who doesn’t know enough to know he doesn’t know.

3)A HOST OF OTHER ISSUES? The environment? Try Yucca Mountain and nuclear waste & Exelon. Even lower corporate taxes? Privatizing Social Security? Public financing? Women’s rights (well, no. I know that’s not on your list of things to do).

Obama may win the nomination. He certainly has the power behind him, but we will not go down without a fight. The GE? He doesn’t seem to think he needs Florida and Michigan anyway. Or Kentucky or West Virginia. He will lose Ohio and Pa. and if I were you, I wouldn’t put too much faith in polls that say otherwise. In November, 18mil. people will stay home, write in Hillary’s name or vote for McCain. Because we are fighting for something bigger than Hillary or the Party. You can take this to the bank.

It seems like yesterday I heard Democrats saying Bush broke the law when he bypassed the courts and didn’t I hear them say above all else we have to protect the civil liberties of American citizens? Or that may have been what I wanted and needed to hear. In 2006, when I still watched MSNBC, Olbermann gave one of his rants on a Republican president subverting the power of his office and ignoring the other two branches of government, but he has changed his mind now. He trusts Obama to be different. He accepts Obama’s explanation of why what was bad is now good. Obama said he would accept public financing because it was the right thing to do, but now it is the wrong thing to do. I’ve admired and respected Hillary for many years, but I like Obama too. A year and a half ago, I would have been happy to vote for either. That was a long time ago now, before I got to know him better and before I understood more about Hillary. Donna Brazil says PUMA is funded by Republicans and the combined membership of over two million people are bitter, menopausal women taken in by the other party. If she says it true, it must be true, but I don’t feel bitter. I feel enraged and so,so sad. Like some others here have said about themselves, I have a post graduate degree and my IQ is probably forty points higher than hers. She is a nasty dishonest woman, but if she says I’m bitter she has to be right. Right?
