The jokes about women are wrong because jokes are about power. A dominant group thinks it has the right to put down a weaker group. Whites used to do it to blacks all the time. (Some certainly still do in private, but I don’t know those kinds of people). These jokes became absolutely NOT tolerated in civilized society at some point, and I am very glad of that. The sexist jokes say that men can make them at the expense of women because men are still dominant over women. Just as at one time whites could openly make jokes about blacks because whites were displaying their dominance. What could black people say or do about it? Nothing for a long time. Then, black people started to fight back. As long as women still tolerate these jokes and do not fight back, the dominance of men will remain. Why is racism not tolerated, but we still have a mentality where sexism is tolerated? It is a display that says men run the world, that men can call women whores, that men can make fun of a woman’s bodily functions. Just substitute these sexist terms for racist terms and see what happens. I for one do not want to have it shoved in my face every day that men are somehow the masters of women. That’s what the Obama campaign does. Shoves it right in my face. I’m a second class citizen because men feel they can call me names and make fun of my body not just in private, but in a most public and seemingly decorous setting: An expensive Democratic fundraiser. If women a second class in that setting, where exactly are they NOT second class?

I understand that it was an Obama benefit, therefore anything said must be negative…but how do you get sexist out of those “jokes”?

That comment was saying that the President or Barack for the purposes of that comment would STILL have to do the dishes, laundry and pick up the kids. How is that sexist? A black woman might take offense, but nobody else should because the comment was specifically about black women.

‘I just came from Korea, talking about nuclear weapons.’ ‘You were on Air Force One and you couldn’t stop to pick up the kids?’”

How was that sexist? Then the ridiculous reply that folks in the white house don’t do their own chores. Everyone knows that, that’s what makes those jokes. But since you didn’t get it, I’m just happy you didn’t think that Mac was declaring that Obama would be entering into nuclear weapons talks with Korea or did you really think he was calling for the president to pullover AirForce One to pick up the kids?

The poor taste “ho’s” joke was just that, poor taste, but it wasn’t calling all women prostitutes, just those that would have sex for money (which is the actual definition of a prostitute, in case you were wondering).

The two most sexists comments that I’ve heard or seen in this election were how are we gonna beat the B…” comment from a McCain supporter that he just chuckled at and the comment that Hillary gave the other day when she said that while Barack was working out in the morning, she was busy getting her hair done. If he had made the same comment, he would have been crucified for saying that. As a woman or minority, or white person, etc, there are comments you can make about your own group that others can’t… plain and simple.

It is amazing the Hillarcrats won’t accept defeat and the racist won’t give up the white house without a battle. They don’t care if they have to use hook or crook, they will do it by any means necessary. Watching the racist crawl from under their rocks to prevent it will be a daily occurrence as this race goes on. And Hillarcrats will vote for a man that has completly lost it. I was once a McCain fan and said he was the only republican that I would vote for, but he certainly doesn’t even resemble the person that I admired politically.
