“Hype: The Obama Effect”– The Movie

It has begun.

Citizens United Productions is baaaaackkkk. And they are about to release a film entitled “Hype: The Obama Effect“. Based on what I have seen on the internet, I expect they will need a police presence in the theaters because Obama supporters don’t like their Plastic Jesus being criticized. It can be dangerous to your health.

The movie stars all the people we couldn’t stand to look at in the days before the DNC shoved a Presumptuous Nominee who looks even worse to us down our throats.  The Chicago Kneecapper is going to get Kneecapped a few times before November. In some quarters, they call this Poetic Justice.

Public Release Date: September 1, right after Obama gives his “I am MLK, JFK and Jesus Of Nazareth” speech to a screened audience–with protestors far enough away to ensure they don’t interfere with the worship ceremony. Suffer unto me the Little Suckers.

All I want to know is, where do I go to get the popcorn concession license?

Here is the TV Ad:

…..and here is the movie trailer

Yeah and the OBOTS will be the ones doing the vandalizing. We all know that. No secret.

Don’t forget the steel bearing someone shot through the door of one of her NC offices with an air cannon or wrist rocket.

You do know, don’t you, Citizen’s United not only was responsible for the Willie Horton ad, it was also involved in the phony “Clinton scandals.”

Not everything that is anti-Obama is necessarily a good thing.

Comment by Jake | 2008-07-22 18:35:05

“Not everything that is anti-Obama is necessarily a good thing.”

Agreed, but the larger point is that he’s unelectable — easy to defeat by Republicans due to openings he creates himself.

Comment by OBSP | 2008-07-22 18:43:58

Oh Well, you get what you give. He made the Clinton’s appear as racist, payback is a bitch.

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-07-22 21:45:07

Had he not pulled that shit and beat her fair and square – no FL and MI, no gaming the caucuses, none of the sexism, I could have voted for him. This guy has no clue what he wants to do; he doesn’t care. It was all about claiming the biggest prize, because he is insanely ambitious in a very bad way.

Comment by Bamboozled | 2008-07-23 03:55:57

Hope Floats, I agree. If this had been a fair fight with Obama prevailing I would have gladly supported him with my vote and donations. He fucked up this election and turned what should have been a cake walk into a soup sandwich.

Comment by LarryBlowsGoats | 2008-07-23 04:31:12

What would you say is the single most egregious example of sexism by Barack Obama towards Hillary Clinton — the one specific sexist act that he committed that pushed you over the edge to the point of abandoning your entire value system?

Comment by beebop | 2008-07-23 06:03:38

I am personally not as disturbed by the sexism — 99 problems and the bitch ain’t one — as I am blocking voters rights. Standing in the way of each attempt to revote in Michigan and Florida sealed the “no deal” for me. I would vote for nearly anyone other than BO. Not supporting voters is not supporting democracy. Simple.

Comment by d2d | 2008-07-22 18:48:51

Susan, in some ways I agree with your statement, and in others I do not.

I’ve spent the last 30+ years actively supporting d’s for POTUS as well as down ticket candidates. During this time I have met some of the most wonderful individuals on the many campaigns who were truly committed to the party for the people and by the people. These individuals include union workers, single moms, single dads, blacks, women, men, the poor, the educated, etc. These individuals have served the Democratic Party with honor.

Additionally, I’ve witnessed state democratic parties implode and self destruct b/c the old d vanguard played their supporters for fools. They over reached with their hubris and paid dearly for their fools errand. Unfortunately, many good d’s got caught up in the party structures self destruction as well.

All of these lessons have informed my reality today, which is the DNC may have to self destruct before it returns to the roots that once made it strong. There are many, many, many good democratic leaders who are not happy with the way the DNC has selected this year’s potential nominee, and I remain confident that these new, fresh and smart leaders will rebuild the DNC into a force that many d’s who have left the party this cycle will be proud to return too.

Will it take years to get her back on track, hell yes! But cleaning one’s closet out of all the bullshit every now and then IMHO is a very healthy thing. And in my humble opinion the DNCs closet needs to be sorely emptied and repainted with a diversity of new colors.

I for one have chosen to get out of the way of their self imposed destruction. The DNC as it stands today is NOT the party generations of my family proudly supported.

Nor mine. I was a Democrat since 1971, going door to door handing out literature, giving rides to folks to help them get to the polls, stuffing envelopes. All because the Democratic party seemed to offer women, immigrants and the poor opportunities for political clout. Guess I forgot about the corruption of the Chicago machine. The sexism of the DNC and the cynical “gaffes” by Mr. Obama and his advisors drove me away.

Comment by derridog | 2008-07-22 19:07:24

Comment by wry | 2008-07-22 19:38:32

I’m not “associating” and I don’t think it’s crap.
We Hillary supporters said the right would produce just this kind of thing against Barky. Now the pigeons are coming home to roost…and I’m laughing.

I just wish they hadn’t included the Ellen spot in that video. She actually supported Hillary.

Comment by DAB | 2008-07-22 20:45:08

The important part of his Ellen appearance is that he dances like a girl.

He dances like one arrogant mf (IMHO)

Comment by JozefAL | 2008-07-23 01:09:52

More importantly, how can the African-American community continue claiming him as one of “their own” when Obama dances no better than Ellen? (I guess his dancing ability is hampered by his “white” blood.)

(Kinda being somewhat facetious about the dancing, y’all, so, to quote the illustrious Bart Simpson, “Don’t have a cow”.)

Comment by Fred C. Dobbs | 2008-07-23 05:38:33

His lack of rhythm argues against him being African American.

The truck driver for the Alvin Ailey Dance Company has better moves than that…and I’m an old white guy!

Comment by Fred C. Dobbs | 2008-07-23 05:42:47

In fact, to prove or disprove his bona fides as an AA, let’s see if he prefers St. Louis SPare Ribs to Baby backribs; if he eats them with his fingers (like a normal AA or white person) or uses a knife and fork (like a pissant, quiche-eating elitist) and if he’s too good to hit the Taylor Lake Country White directly from the Superbowl-sized jug, or wants it decanted into crystal for the ball game.

Unfortunately, people always pay more attention to the negatives so that is where you have to go.

Remember how Hillary tried to play nice in the sandbox early in the Primary???? WTF did it get her? A kick in the face! When she got a little negative against Ofraudma, that was when she started winning! The press was all upset about it, but hell, as far as I was concerned she could have gone way more nasty. She didn’t, she’s classy.

Desparate times call for desparate measures! I don’t give a shit who or what brings Osleezebag down. I just want them to bring him down fast and hard! I cannot wait to hear the big thud and see the richter scale on a fall from that frigging high up.

Obama deserves everything coming at him and I hope this movie is only the tip of the iceberg!

obama is still swimming in the dreamland of the primary, but come September, America will start to ask again and again—

who is obama?
why is he still here?
what does he stand for?
and obama’s past will finally catch up to him.

Comment by Latte liberal for McCain | 2008-07-22 20:08:11

Agreed. And there’s only one enemy right, Barack Hussein Obama and his thugs. Whoever goes after them is our ally.

Comment by candymarl | 2008-07-22 19:37:17

Well Susan sometimes that’s true and sometimes it’s not.

If you live long enough you learn that.

You will notice that this same group did not go after Hillary during the primaries.

It was the so-called liberal/progressives groups and blogs that resurrected the old Clinton scandals.

Also, the Corporate media, that so loves Obama did the same thing. The same Corporate media that the liberals/progressives so decried were just fine when the Hillary and Bill smears were recycled.

Sometimes the enemy of your enemy is your friend.

I think our tactics are working. You want us to overlook the death threats, the racism accusations, the cries of traitors from the Obama camp.

You also want us to ignore any film, documentary, or book critical of him.

Now who did that before?

Oh yeah, it was G W Bush supporters..

far from it, I am thinking the point is we warned the DNC this would happen and here it is right on schedule,

Uhhbama Campaign with the help of some DEM leasdership spread a whole lot of manure to SDs and the public at large about Hill being swiftboated and her negatives.

PFFT!

as predictred, it is Uhhbama that will bring the party down in flames.

they thought the GOP lurved them some Bama,

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-07-22 22:08:28

I like how they’re killing Obama with kindness. He is more vulnerable to criticism without Hillary to hide behind. He can’t just dance on TV and hold his pep rallies. The wind has changed to the GE when the average voter wants solutions. Obama can’t deliver. He’s nose-diving. Now the GOP is having a laugh at his expense and teasing the press, too. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

Comment by Fred C. Dobbs | 2008-07-23 05:33:56

Obama will soon learn that Wanting Some and Getting Some are two divergent, unrelated processes.

This is the correct website-

Thanks for the lead.

I am not sure if this means that her debt has been wiped out-however you may be right.

I have to review what these numbers mean.
Does anyone know.

Is there anything that we are not taking into consideration when looking at these numbers and reaching conclusion that her debt has been wiped out? Can anyone confirm or refute that her debt has been wiped out?

Comment by Latte liberal for McCain | 2008-07-22 20:11:38

well, there’s two types of debt from what I understand. There’s debts to vendors, and then there’s the amount of money Hillary loaned her campaign and she isn’t asking us to help pay back. So perhaps the vendor debt has been paid down. But I don’t know.

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-07-22 22:11:25

It means that fixing what’s wrong with the country and the world is up to us.

There’s no point sitting on our hands wishing and waiting for somebody to come along to do it for us, because no such person is coming.

Comment by wodiej | 2008-07-22 19:17:37

I second that.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-22 19:42:21

Obama is what’s wrong with this country and I’m smart enough not to vote for him. Obama can’t fix a flat but he can create fiascos. Obama is more likely to be responsible for mushroom clouds over US cities.

Comment by tiberius | 2008-07-22 19:59:44

How can Obama be what’s wrong with this country? Obama wasn’t there to cause any of the things that are wrong with this country. He’s a candidate, remember? The things that are wrong are the fault of the people who were already elected.

The republicans controlled Congress for 12 continuous years. Bush has controlled the White House for nearly 8. The democrats only got back a bit of power around 18 months ago, and have had to contend with entrenched republican problems and an intransigent republican president.

Obama was only elected to the U.S. Senator in 2004. In no conceivable way is Barack Obama responsible for what’s wrong with this country.

If you don’t like where we are, I suggest you take the matter up with the people who have actually been driving the bus.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-22 20:13:40

You are suggesting since Obama has not done anything therefore he should be president — you are a moron. Why not pick up a bum on a street corner since he has not done anything either.

What we do know about Obama is he was in the Illinois state senate and did not do a damn thing but sit there and vote “present” and even admitted he pressed the wrong button on several occaisions. We know that he did not accomplish anything as a community organizer. We know that he has been described as “average” by the senior members of the law firm Obama worked at. We know Obama has not done a damn thing as a US Senator but run for president. We also know he has been sitting in a filthy racist anti-American church for 20 years. We also know he has made long term friendships with every radical in Chicago. We know he choose Chicago so he could learn the sleeze of politics.

What is it about “Obama is not qualified” that you do not understand?

Comment by tiberius | 2008-07-22 20:22:08

Actually, we don’t know any of that. Apparently you believe that you do. But you apparently haven’t gotten your information from reliable sources–that’s quite probably where the “we” is coming from–or studied Barack Obama’s Illinois voting record yourself in any detail.

You assume that Obama supporters are all brainwashed. Consider instead that we may have looked at all of those things I mentioned, and all come to a similar conclusion.

Barack or Hillary? I could go either way and feel entirely comfortable.

Barack or McCain? You’ve got to be joking.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-22 20:27:53

You are the token Obama supporter they send in here to try and persuade people to vote for Obama. No sale here. Your empty suit does not cut it. Voting for McCain over Obama will be the easy decision I have ever made.

Comment by tiberius | 2008-07-22 20:38:19

The presumptive Democratic presidential candidate, U.S. Senator Barack Obama, arrived Tuesday for what is scheduled to be a 36-hour visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

In a statement at Ben-Gurion International Airport, after arriving from Jordan, Obama condemned an attack a few hours earlier by a Palestinian tractor driver who ran amok on a Jerusalem street, smashing into a bus, overturning a car and seriously injuring an Israeli before being shot dead by a civilian and a police officer.

“It’s just one more reminder why we have to work diligently, urgently and in a unified way to defeat terrorism,” Obama said. “There are no excuses.”

From the airport, Obama was driven to Jerusalem’s King David Hotel, a few hundred meters from where the attack took place.

Obama Escapes (Not Makes) Iraqi Headlines

But if you’ve only read Iraq’s papers Tuesday morning, you wouldn’t even know the presumptive nominee was there.

With the exception of one paper, Asharq Al-Awsat, a widely read Saudi publication, most local and regional papers seemed decidedly under-whelmed by the candidate’s visit.

Iraq already had BAGHDAD BOB, Why do they need another one?

the question that the msm refuses to ask the obamaton is ” what happens to the us economy when you abandon and surrender iraq and the 4 million barrels of oil a day they are currently producing goes off line and there is a massive world shortage! prices going up to 500 dollars a barrel or more ! gas at 20.00 a gallon. what then obambi? that is protecting americas strategic interests and national security? all of our property and hard earned savings and all of ourjobs will dissapear,in a flash! an obambi miracle!!

Comment by tiberius | 2008-07-22 19:31:17

I thought it was never about the oil.

That’s what the republicans said every time somebody suggested that it was.

The same republicans that have for year after year done everything in their power to resist alternative energy initiatives, mandated increases in fuel efficiency of U.S. automobiles, modern mass transit, etc etc.

Now reality has caught up with us, and they’re suddenly singing a different tune. They’re pointing fingers at everybody but themselves.

If the nations controlling global oil supplies suddenly increased production and dropped prices–which they might temporarily do out of fear that the United States might make serious moves toward permanent energy independence–the republicans would immediately drop the entire topic and we’d go right back to the same dysfunctional policies as before.

If you’re worried about your hard-earned savings, worry about republican borrowing and the astronomical deficits they’ve given us year after year. That’s the reason the value of the dollar has dropped like a stone since Bush has been in office.

McCain says he’ll fix that. But he hasn’t proposed a single economic or policy change that will give us anything but more of the same.

Try to name just one.

And what is Obama going to do raise taxes? Isn’t that a brilliant strategy, it has been tried before and failed.

The messiah is a fraud.

Comment by tiberius | 2008-07-22 20:09:33

Yes. The very wealthy will pay more taxes. Those would be wealthiest 1%, who own 34% of the entire wealth of the nation, and the wealthiest 10%, who own 71% of the entire wealth of the nation. The same people who benefited tremendously from the Bush tax cuts.

Since the bottom 60% of the population owns only 4% of the nation’s total wealth, my guess is you don’t need to worry too much about your taxes under Obama.

You probably should worry about what would happen under John McCain. If you’re a worker with employer contributions toward your family health insurance, for example, under McCain’s health plan those employer contributions would no longer be tax deductable.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-22 20:18:17

Idiot, Obama proposses to raise capital gains taxes and most people own mutual funds. The jerk is raising taxes on everyone. And great timing in a slow economy — Obama needs to take Economics 101.

Obama supporters rank as the dumbest on the planet.

Comment by tiberius | 2008-07-22 20:34:32

Most people own mutual funds?

Hey, maybe you really are a republican!

That’s kind of like having a small side-bet placed on a high-stakes poker game. The guys with the real money want me to believe they’re conducting the game entirely with my benefit in mind.

It’s like the Bush tax cuts. McCain wants me to believe the whole scheme is in the regular guy’s interest.

It all sounds good, until you look closely at what’s really going on:

http://www.ctj.org/html/gwb0602.htm

Sometimes the “dumbest people on the planet” take the time to read the fine print. Smart people might want to do the same.

Comment by DeaninMI | 2008-07-22 21:15:11

Most people have 401ks, which are heavily invested in mutual funds.

DUH!

Comment by Fred C. Dobbs | 2008-07-23 05:51:25

Tiberius isn’t covered under the 401K down at the bicycle messenger company, so he’s not familiar with the concept.

Comment by tiberius | 2008-07-23 14:04:35

Actually Tiberius stashed his money away as dollars because he saw what was coming with the stock market. Now he worries about the dollars because of possible run-away inflation and bank failure.

Call me an anachronism, but I don’t trust the stock market. The Fed has forced interest rates down to irrational, unsustainable levels for far too long to keep casino game on Wall Street hot. Hold onto your hat when they suddenly decide they’ve got to put the brakes on inflation.

Clinton veto for a more noble reason than Pelosi, Reed and Hussein have in mind.

PS. I hope you PUMA guys and girls win back the DNC, it would be nice to have civil debate for the BENEFIT of America.

That’s why it is important to drill for oil and natural gas domestically and to invest in alternative energy like wind, solar, battery, and nuclear.

There is a reason oil prices after the executive order for offshore drilling was lifted. Pelosi’s refusal to even have a vote on the issue is irresponsible.

I just received a fund-raising letter from Hil specifically asking for help to retire the debt.

Check your mail boxes.

There’s no phone number to call, so maybe it’s a fake letter. I’ve been donating online almost entirely lately.

Hmmm…

Comment by AnnieO | 2008-07-22 19:36:49

The email I received just asked that I send a message regarding women’s health

Comment by Mandelay | 2008-07-22 20:08:50

I received the one about women’s health — regarding the recent move to classify birth control pills, etc. under the umbrella category of “abortion.” The email is under the auspices of “HillPac,” — she is honorary chair of this pac according to their website. I’ve read that it’s “her” pac … I’ve also read that it is not her organization but one that funds campaigns for downticket dems, which would make the “Hill” in the name stand for “The Hill” as opposed to “HILLary.” But there’s not much out there on it and I’m a bit confused. I believe the email is genuine.

Comment by csuzeq | 2008-07-22 20:29:18

The hillpac email I received wanted our thoughts and also to help elect Senator Obama. I a=gave Hillary my thoughts, but also said I will not be able to support Obama and will not be able to donate to HillPac.

Comment by Pollpatrol | 2008-07-22 20:41:21

HillPAC money will never go to Senator Obama. It is Hillary’s private PAC and we’ll all be donating to it very soon.

She will use the money to support the downticket candidates that stood by her… in other words, we’ll help elect a Clinton friendly congress.

If we can quickly raise a large amount at HillPAC it will show the supers her fundraising potential is still there.

I’ve been told that as soon as her debt was gone there will be organized effort for us to raise 18 million quickly (before the convention) as a symbolic number representing her 18 million votes.

More word on this soon I believe :)

I said my biggest and only issue at the moment was making sure OB didn’t get elected. I said I will be voting for McCain if OB is the dem nominee. I told her to keep the faith and don’t quit. For what it was worth. Hope someone actually reads it and doesn’t just delete it!

My husband, the Republican, who donated once to HRC on my recommendation, received a letter asking help in retiring her debt today. I have donated 8-10 times but received no letter. Maybe her office is just picking up the loose ends to get a little more cash in the coffers.

The letter my husband received asking for help in retiring the debt had a reply envelope: Hillary Clinton for President, PO Box 1781, Merrifield,VA 22116-9965. I believe that is the right name and address for retiring the debt, isn’t it?

This is what I received, too. Also, while I’ve contributed to HIllary’s campaign, I never used the Internet to do so, although I signed up there to received email updates. To contribute to her campaign, I sent checks instead. And I have never received a fundraising letter/email from any other candidate, so I have reason to believe that Hillary’s “list” is not circulating, but I really don’t know it that’s true.
(I was also receiving email from the DNC, but that’s because I signed up for “updates” on the DNC site. Never contributed to them and after chewing them out several times in reply to their “update” emails, I have not received any lately. LOL, I guess they read them after all!)

She had a scathing article by a guest writer on PUMA which called Will Bowers a opportunist. The article said that Hillary’s financial people denied that they had received lots of money and Hillary had just loaned another million to pay off her vendors.

Hillary 2012……………..in the meantime, my vote will go to McCain and all down republicans. I am sick of the DNC, Obama and all of the rest, especially Richardson, the opportinist who waited to see which way the wind was blowing, then sold out the voters of New Mexico with his endorsement. That movie trailer totally sucked. Someone got a little too carried away with all the cool transition effects from their movie making software. And they leave the most potent anti-Obama material out, like how he has a lifetime record of merely collecting progressively more prestigious titles, with little or no record of accomplishments to go along with the titles. He’s an overly ambitious poser and a total media creation. He’s like a bad movie about some narcissist on a power trip.
And seriously, John Bolton? Tucker Carlson? Ken Blackwell? Bolton and Tucker both got fired and Blackwell lost his election. Why? Because no one likes them.
Trust me, I want an anti-Obama movie, but it looks like Citizens United is just wasting their time and money.

When it comes to violence against anyone not supporting Obama, I believe we have entered a different arena this year in politics. Violence cannot and should not make someone vote for a candidate. That would be the first signal that that candidate isn’t worth two cents. I believe the fear tactic has been used that the blacks will riot and maybe supers are afraid for their lives. This has to stop. The mass news media will not report it. The newspapers will not report it. The magazines will not report it. Why? Because they might be afraid of violence perpetrated against them by Obama supporters. Or maybe the news media is acting on what Soros and their corporate offices dictate to them. In that case, the news media have no conscience and are as un-American as those who peddle violence to get their way. Obama is a fraud, his campaign is a fraud. Obama is the most serious threat to America today than anyone else I can think of.
