Both Ways Barack: He’s No Flip-Flopper

Barack Obama is no flip-flopper. Flip-floppers only hold one position at a time. Obama holds both positions at the same time.

Meet Barack and Barack.

Sure to be the first of many such ads. Hang on tight, the Obots are about to burst a blood vessel!

Comment by Northwest rain | 2008-07-23 15:52:27

Perhaps we should invest in a hazmat uniform — to protect ourselves from exploding Obamabot heads or blood vessels.

Only paid bloggers can defend the snObama lies.

This Ad is right on! I’ve been saying since January that BO is a slippery figure, meaning that he plays ambiguously to both sides of the issue.

Comment by Northwest rain | 2008-07-23 15:49:35

I’m on dial-up.

But I’ve read his dual statements.

He’s a liar — and knows he can get away with it.

Comment by Arabella Trefoil | 2008-07-23 15:51:38

Whose ad is this and where is it running.

Comment by SueB. | 2008-07-23 21:13:22

I’ve seen the ad on FoxNews a couple of times today. I didn’t pay attention to who sponsored it, but I will next time. How sad is it that I’m watching Fox?

Obama Faking It

by Maggie Gallagher

Obama has a problem: What do you do when you’re a lightly accomplished one-term senator, a former state legislator from Illinois, a Harvard law graduate who has no substantive record of accomplishments, and you are running against a war hero whom polls show that Americans overwhelmingly view as far more fit to be commander in chief?

Pose, of course.

What else can a guy like Obama do?

[...]

The left imagines they learned this from Ronald Reagan and the rise of the right: big strong guy, genial, looks good on camera — bingo! Maybe you can’t fool all the people all the time, but you can fool 51 percent every time, with the right branding and the right kind of images.

God help us when the people who think like that actually run all three branches of our government.

President Obama, if that’s our future, and his team of symbolic analysts will find out soon enough there are realities out there which none of his contrivances are going to be able to help him handle.

More important, so will we.

Great article!

Comment by William L. Donlon | 2008-07-23 16:54:37

They learned it from Hitler, Stalin, Rev. Wright and every Demogog that has ever lived. Everything is there except the “click of the Heels and the “Sig Heil”.

With the youth and the enchanted Media firmly in tow a “charismatic Leader” with questionable credentials in wallpaper hanging, goose steps off to a new version of Armageddon.

The Concentration camps, to re-educate the true Union leaders, true Journalists, true believers in democracy, will be along any time now, followed by the trains and “showers’ and the crematories, and the killing fields which no matter how you spell it , comes out “Genocide”.

And so it goes! And so it goes!

The old demons that we thought had been eliminated were only sleeping, waiting for the siren call of fools. Barack has sounded it and they have re-awakened.

Excuse me, I do go on.
But I was born in 1943 and this is where I came in.

I’m Bill Donlon, I’m a PUMA CRAT, and I’m sorry to say that I know how this sad but all to familiar tale ends.

Oh boy. An open letter to Obama from an Israeli:

“We know who you are and who your friends are.

Barack Obama, why don’t you just go home?

Zigzagging back and forth about dividing or un-dividing Jerusalem won’t clear your history.

Don’t use us or our land as a photo-op.”

Comment by TeaMug | 2008-07-23 16:41:12

That is very interesting, I have some added info with regards to Israel. I am not going to post the link because it is a poll that is being done on one of the Israel newspapers. So far the results are:

Obama’s visit:
1 A genuine attempt to reaffirm US-Israeli ties 13%
2 Photo-ops and not much more 87%
TOTAL VOTES: 330

“Both Ways” is a signal of things to come, Larry Sinclair, Donald Young and so forth.

ADD TO THAT LIST:Frank Marshall Davis, homosexual, who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA. The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where he developed a close relationship with Davis, listening to his poetry and getting advice on his career path. In his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him as his mentor,Frank.

Comment by Sharon | 2008-07-23 16:39:29

I love the mocking tone of that ad. The more barky and his followers insist that he CANNOT, MUST NOT, be mocked, made fun of, ridiculed, the more I hope republicans do exactly that – incessantly. I mean, they have so much ammunition!

Hmmmm…actually I’m kinda surprised obambi hasn’t drafted a bill in “his committee” making it ILLEGAL to MOCK BAWACK. Oh, I forgot – he thinks he’s PRESIDENT. He’ll just issue an executive order…

William Arkin is a military analyst for the Washington Post. Here’s his bio — he’s quite liberal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Arkin Today he joined the questioners of Obama’s Afghanistan policy:

Village here, valley there, region, province: Afghanistan is a tribal landscape where troops move in and enemy fighters leave. Combat there is whack-a-mole on a country-wide basis. There aren’t enough forces in country to cover all the territory, Pakistan offers a “sanctuary” for the enemy, and consensus is therefore building on the U.S. side for a “surge”.

The danger here is that 10,000 more troops, which is what is being discussed, won’t make a bit of difference. So that just gets the ball rolling for 10,000 more and then more and pretty much indeed you have Vietnam.

And I’d add this: There isn’t just one “sanctuary.” The Taliban and al-Qaeda are not merely springing from Pakistan. The Pakistan border areas provide a bit of a sanctuary. But there is also Iran and a trio of unreliable “-stans”.
What is not needed in Afghanistan is more than more boots on the ground. If Obama wants to go back to fundamentals, before the Iraq war diluted and intensified the “war” against terrorism, he needs to shift the battle from conventional forces back to a quiet and focused effort: special operations supported by airpower and intelligence going after international terrorists.

Sure, sufficient combat troops are needed to train the Afghan national forces, but the rotation of brigades here and there into this rural, tribal, treacherous country is not the way to go. So Obama was right on Iraq but he is completely wrong on Afghanistan.

How was Obama right on Iraq?

He gave a speech, that no-one can remember attending by the way, and he did what others in Politically safe district wee doing…Questioning the war! that took no Courage and he is not unique in his supposed outrage at the war!

Remember, when he got to the Senate…He voted in every way for the continuation for the war! He Never showed any back bone! This is all a media “Fairy Tale” as Bill Clinton so rightly opined before being called a RACIST!

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-07-23 18:54:08

I love his answer now when they ask him if he was wrong about his surge vote. Basically, he says if he hadn’t been wrong, he would’ve been right. Or some such crap.

This guy is like that kid who lies all the time badly. He can’t keep his own shit straight. Either his brain is mush from too much of something or he is a pathological liar. You pick.

One thing is for sure. He NEVER admits a mistake. Remind you of anybody else?

Well…

If this is the best the conservatives can come up with… I am underwhelmed. So politicians lie sometimes. Wow! What a discovery. I hope you are as up in flames about George W.’s lies about Iraq, WMDs and a thousand other things. And stop quoting McCain’s war hero status. If you honestly believe that being shot down with your plane and being imprisoned for years is a good basis for being president of the United States – the terrorists have already won.
