Why do voters have to be "organized?"

We go to the polls and --- vote. SECRETLY

Maybe Obama has a different version of what that would be -- something like if some folks are trying to get some folk unionized ... they keep bugging those folks until they sign a card [not so secret] of the union's position -- and they can check it to count the "vote" -- Maybe that's Obama's version of organizing voters? Or is it putting them in an Obama Bus at the nursing home and helping them vote when they get there?

I do not want and America does not need Saul Alinsky (the source of the "strateies" and also, I might add, Hillary's mentor) being the driving force in the the Executive Office.

Now THAT is creepy.

Larry,

This is straight out of Alinsky. But McCain is beating them with Boyd.

I explain it at Obama Be.

Poor Ani ...The good thing about Senator Barack winning the White House is that all of you "bitter Hillaries" and McShames will be so upset that you will move out of America and into WhereTheHeckEver where you belong, and the United States will be a great place in which to live!

The camps sound like Hitler Youth training, in modern day America. How freakin appropriate that BObo visited Germany and made a big point about wanting to speak there as Kennedy did.
Maybe he has a special affinity with a part of Germany's political history. My heart sank when I saw interviews with German people singing the praises of bobo there.
Im sure that people of other countries would love to see American with a responsive, honorable President, but they are sadly misled to believe those would be qualities found in Obama.

Im completely bamboozled by Gore's actions. Could not figure out why he just passively let it go then, but kind of wondered if maybe he was a bigger pansy ass that I had thought. Now I think it was the Dem party calling the shots and he had to take a vacation. Notice he took a really loonnnng vacation.......
Maybe you are right about the Dem party wanting things to slide so far into the toilet with Bush and co. stealing our constitutional rights, that theyd stay that way, we'd all get used to it and just hanker for more being crammed down our throats.

“Today Barack Obama finally abandoned his dangerous insistence on an unconditional withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq by making clear that for the foreseeable future, troop levels in Iraq will be ‘entirely conditions based.’ We welcome this latest shift in Senator Obama’s position, but it is obvious that it was only a lack of experience and judgment that kept him from arriving at this position sooner.

“John McCain has always held the position that any withdrawal from Iraq must be based on conditions on the ground. With the incredible success of the surge, which John McCain advocated, it is increasingly likely that U.S. troops will be able to withdraw with victory in hand. John McCain had long urged Barack Obama, who opposed the surge, to return to Iraq in order to see the immense changes in the security situation there since his last visit. Now that Obama has finally met with General Petraeus, it appears that he has also come to the conclusion that troop levels in Iraq must be based on the conditions on the ground.”

PUMAs really should attend. You need to find out what Obama has planned, either for the convention or for stealing the election in November. Know his tactics and enact counter-tactics.
I do not trust this guy and I am terribly afraid that he might intimidate prospective voters, and that he might rig the voting machines.
God bless America, or we are lost.

You're worried about Camp Obama being a dangerous cult?

What about Blackwater? Most people don't stop to think about this as an enormous private army of right-wing fundamentalist mercenaries, but that's exactly what it is. They're not under DoD control. They're paid through the State Department with public money. They're a contract army. No doubt McCain will inherit them from the Bush administration.

Politicized right-wing fundamentalists now hold 50% of the chaplaincy appointments in the regular armed services and service academies, and have agressively taken their message and their own unique brand of politicized Christianity to the troops. This was done methodically and purposefully.

The Christian Embassy--another private, right-wing, highly politicized religious organization--now proselytizes freely and agressively within the Department of Defense. They hold well-attended daily meetings at a room in the Pentagon itself. They made a promotional film featuring high-ranking, highly placed uniformed military officers. What sort of message does that send to the enlisted personnel it's played for?

Do you think this stuff doesn't all fit together into a larger, purposeful pattern?

The fascists aren't on the democratic side of the political divide. The cultists aren't the kids passing out flyers for Barack Obama.

What about Blackwater? Most people don’t stop to think about this as an enormous private army of right-wing fundamentalist mercenaries, but that’s exactly what it is. They’re not under DoD control. They’re paid through the State Department with public money. They’re a contract army.

The Christian Embassy–another private, right-wing, highly politicized religious organization–now proselytizes freely and agressively within the Department of Defense. They hold well-attended daily meetings at a room in the Pentagon itself. They made a promotional film featuring high-ranking, highly placed uniformed military officers. What sort of message does that send to the enlisted personnel it’s played for?

Do you think this stuff doesn’t all fit together into a larger, purposeful pattern?

The fascists aren’t on the democratic side of the political divide. The cultists aren’t the kids passing out flyers for Barack Obama.

You’re just another moronic astrotroll who isn’t fooling anyone.

And your disrespectful rants and name-calling, Sir, remind me of the quacking of an angry duck trapped at the bottom of a rain barrel. If you bothered to look up over your head you'd see that there's light up there and you could simply fly out.

That a lot of people share views differing from your own doesn't make them cultists. The fact that they organize to promote a candidate they believe represents those views doesn't either. Doing that is a fundamental part of the democratic process.

The Bush campaign defeated two good democratic opponents by exploiting fear and by attacking character. In Kerry's case, I saw the reputation of a decorated war veteran methodically torn down in favor of an obnoxious former frat boy who seems to have gone AWOL from his national guard unit, and his assorted corporate-connected chicken-hawk associates. They maneuvered the country into a pointless, potentially ruinous war, and then pursued it with a level of strategic ineptness nothing less than astonishing. Near as I can tell, the attacks on Barack Obama are nothing more than a variation on that same strategy. It's all a matter of keeping the focus off actual policy and attacking the person.

So, we're supposed to let them play that game and pull it off a third time?
