Buddy! Wonderful post. I too have smelled this rat for a long, long time and suffered the same derision when I started to speak out right after he declared. I regret that I don't hold optimism that anything but comedy will come from the DNConvention. but it will at least help us all identify who needs to be excised from our political system so that we can start to rebuild a balanced, REPRESENTATIVE government. We have seen too clearly what divisiveness in congress has caused us. Partisanship and long simmering resentment are what has put Barry where he is. Blame, I believe, needs to be permanently put on the back burner. It is my feeling that the Rep's would like to reach across the aisle and join with the remaining sane Dem's to come to an accord which, rather than causing caustic, suspicious backbiting, will focus on the thing we all agree on and getting that done. Good things come when quid pro quo is based on positive actions rather than on hurting the other side and alienating it. If we are to stop Barry, we need to hang together or Barry will most assuredly hang us separately. (with slight apology to Ben F.) Paul.
