The RNC Goes to Berlin

The Republican National Committee went to Berlin on Obama’s trail and had a few candid conversations with Europeans about Obama.

This spot is Internet-only and was paid for by the RNC. It’s a bit amateurish if you ask me.

From my blog, By The Fault.

Obama is the most awesome man alive!

The warmth of his halo keeps us all warm in winter.
He’s a perfect human being. There were none until he came along.

I’m really excited for when Barack becomes president, and we can get rid of those other two superfluous branches of government.

I don’t understand why we’re bothering to have an election.

No. Other people can only get in the way of this man.

Exactly! And really, what right do they have to pass judgment on this man. Shouldn’t he just assume the presidency?

To even cast a vote is to suggest doubt.

Voting, right now, is almost the least democratic thing you could do.

I’m insulted, on behalf of Barack of Obama, that we’re holding an election.

Watch the video. Hilarious snark:

I think the video is perfect—cheesy and annoying. Like Obama!

It looks like Berlin has been at the Hope Bong too long.

re Lucadris’ new rap about Obama: you’ve gotta read this! Quick, before it goes under the bus.

Oh how I wish the RNC would do a riff on the Messiah’s “Just Words”? using Ludacris. (You know, the phrases he stole from someone else’s speech.)

Please, RNC?

PUMA

He really thinks he is the KING OF THE WORLD just let him think it because we will all pray to the real God that he will be gone in November and he can work on becoming a real rock star.

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-07-30 19:09:53

I wasn’t going to mention it but since YOU brought up the “king of the world” bit…..

that GOING down with the TITANIC sure was a real winner for him wasn’t it?

(the original actor that screamed that)

BHO is taking the DEM ship of state right down the pie hole………. they hit ICEBERG PUMA BABY!

RAT BOAT!

Oh, that comment that guy made about his “Marxist” friends in America supporting Obama is going to come back to bite the Dems this fall for sure.

Comment by May | 2008-07-30 16:36:45

Did you catch the part when one German man said he has a friend in the USA who is a Marxist and he is supporting Obama?

Comment by Marty | 2008-07-30 17:16:43

lets cut out all the song and dance and look at the issues, our issues not German, Obama=none McCain low taxes, less government, drill, affordable health care, win against the terrorists, and every thing else we need to protect and secure a free America.

Comment by IndayHill | 2008-07-30 17:28:54

The egoistic Obama is losing his morality. He needs Michelle to remind him who he really is, a USA presidential candidate, and not some sort global rock star!
America does NOT need a rock star tenant in the WH.I think Obama has a wrong choice of career, either a Mr. Universe candidate or a wanna be rocker.POTUS ???
He is NOT qualified.
For every wounded soldier that Obama snubbed, and
because I love my country, I will vote for the BEST!!
Hillary or McCain ‘08 !

If this is the best the Republicans do, the election is as good as over. This is possibly the worst ad I’ve ever seen.

Go back and look at some classics like the Daisy Chain one or the Willie Horton one. This is garbage.

Comment by yttik | 2008-07-30 18:15:59

Oh don’t worry, they’ll get better. The RNC is just having some fun. Wait until they get serious about it.

Comment by DCMediagirl | 2008-07-30 19:10:15

Agreed. This ad is so weak I thought it was a parody. It looks like it was made by an intern with barebones knowledge of Final Cut. Are they kidding with this thing or what?

Comment by Clinton Fan | 2008-07-30 18:36:12

The idiot who boasted about his Marxist friends in America, yew know, uh, WOOOOORKING for Obama…that was funny. The fatso praising Obama for his Che-like qualities was funny as hell also. The “CHANGE” nitwits were a laughriot, too.

But the funniest interviewee of all was that young woman who quite self righteously chastised America for her SUPERFICIALITY…while doing a damn good imitation, sartorially down to the stupid sunglasses, and in her speech pattern, of PARIS “Queen Superficial” HILTON. The girl plainly had an IRONYECTOMY–didn’t know the cosmetic surgeons offered those!

The Republicans, all of a sudden, have a capacity to amuse. They’re also better at yucking parody as well as nuance, when called for, than they used to be.

That ad is good because it’s hokey, the Obama head in the Titanic shot is deliberately too big, so no one misses the point, but there’s no one stopping the tape at every idiotic comment by those uberleftists that they interviewed and saying “SEE??? SEEE??? See how THEY talk? SEEE???”

They just let it roll, and it’s a riot.

I’m no Republican, never have been and never will be–too much mendacity over the years– but that was funny. Credit where credit is due.

But did you read the new LUDACRIS/OBAMA rap thingie text where they’re gonna paint the White House black?
Is there anything like diversity? Affirmative Action?
How far back has this empty suit/dirtbag/Obama set race relations? Is anyone else astounded at how much AAs/blacks hate us? I simply had no idea.
It’s just horrifying.

Comment by OBushMA! | 2008-07-30 23:55:23

LOL at that German Paris Hilton wannabe at 0:50 saying she hopes Obama will change the Americans so they won’t be so “superficial.” First of all, she obviously never looked in the mirror. Second, if she took off those giant shades, maybe she would see Obama is the most superficial manufactured candidate evah!
