Obama, You Are Ludicrous

Ludicrous, not the rapper, means, “causing laughter because of absurdity; provoking or deserving derision; ridiculous.” Got that?

So, did you hear Obama saying he ain’t down with Ludacris? Obama press flack released the following in response to the Ludacris rap:

“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in an e-mail statement Wednesday. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Sen. Clinton, Rev. Jackson, Sen. McCain and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

So, Barry doesn’t want his kids exposed to this? Bullshit!! Take a look:

Did I catch that right? You’re endorsing: Pistol whip you, dip you then flip you
Then dance to this motherfucking music we crip to, Subscribe nigga, get yo issue
?

Well, actually, the words come from Snoop Dog. You can sing along if you want.

“Drop It Like It’s Hot”
(feat. Pharrell Williams)

[Intro]
Snooooooooooop..
Snooooooooooop..

[Chorus - Snoop Dogg]
When the pimp’s in the crib ma
Drop it like it’s hot
Drop it like it’s hot
Drop it like it’s hot
When the pigs try to get at yea
Park it like it’s hot
Park it like it’s hot
Park it like it’s hot
And if a nigga get a attitude
Pop it like it’s hot
Pop it like it’s hot
Pop it like it’s hot
I got the rolly on my arm and I’m pouring Chandon
And I roll the best weed cause I got it going on

[Verse - Pharrell Williams]
Uh! I’m a nice dude, with some nice dreams
See these ice cubes, see these Ice Creams?
Eligible bachelor, million dollar boat
That’s whiter than what’s spilling down your throat
The Phantom, exterior like fish eggs
The interior like suicide wrist red
I can excercise you, this can be your Phys. Ed
Cheat on your man ma, that’s how you get ahizzead
Killer wit the beat, I know killers in the street
Wit the steel that’ll make you feel like Chinchilla in the heat
So don’t try to run up on my ear talking all that raspy shit
Trying to ask me shit
When my niggaz fill ya vest they ain’t gon pass me shit
You should think about it, take a second
Matter fact, you should take four B
And think before you fuck wit lil skateboard P

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I’m a gangsta, but y’all knew that
Da Big Boss Dogg, yeah I had to do that
I keep a blue flag hanging out my backside
But only on the left side, yeah that’s the Crip side
Ain’t no other way to play the game the way I play
I cut so much you thought I was a DJ
[scratches] “two!” – “one!” – “yep, three!”
S-N double O-P, D-O double G
I can’t fake it, just break it, and when I take it
See I specialize in making all the girls get naked
So bring your friends, all of y’all come inside
We got a world premiere right here, now get live!
So don’t change the dizzle, turn it up a little
I got a living room full of fine dime brizzles
Waiting on the Pizzle, the Dizzle and the Shizzle
G’s to the bizzack, now ladies here we gizzo

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I’m a Bad Boy, wit a lotta ho’s
Drive my own cars, and wear my own clothes
I hang out tough, I’m a real Bo$$
Big Snoop Dogg, yeah he’s so sharp
On the TV screen and in the magazines
If you play me close, you’re on a red beam
Oh you got a gun so you wanna pop back?
AK47 now nigga, stop that!
Cement shoes, now I’m on the move
You’re family’s crying, now you on the news
They can’t find you, and now they miss you
Must I remind you I’m only here to twist you
Pistol whip you, dip you then flip you
Then dance to this motherfucking music we crip to

Baby come close, let me see how you get loose!

[Chorus]

[Outro]
Snooooooooooop..

That’s why I say, Barack is Ludicrous.

Obama’s problem is that he can’t decide if he wants to be a cool guy or the leader of the world. At his events they play I Got 99 Problems But The Bitch Ain’t One. Well I have 99 problems and as soon as McCain wins in November Obama won’t be one.

Just so everyone knows, the lyrics Larry printed are the uncensored version, which would obviously never be played on the radio; in the clip, he’s talking about a song coming on the radio station he’s speaking at.

So: saying that his three-year-old is listening to the lyrics that Larry’s reproduced here is disingenuous at best.

Oh, and this clip is four years old. FWIW.

The fact that the clip is 4 years old means he’s been letting his daughter listen to this for 4 years now. You Obamabots are such morons you don’t realize that makes it worse.
Furthermore, he clearly says the song is on her Ipod — so you don’t know what version he’s talking about BUT the censored version (while not having the f & n words) is still mysoginist, sexist & sexually suggestive (”That’s whiter than what’s spilling down your throat” — I know you Obambots are kinda slow, and mostly 12, so just to clue you in — that’s a reference to oral sex).
Here’s the censored (or “radio version”) of the song that you think is perfectly acceptable for his (at the time) 3 year old daughter to listen to:

When the pimp’s in the crib ma
Drop it like it’s hot

Both ways Barack keeps Ludacris on his iPod, calls Ludacris a “great talent” and a “great businessman” but in the same breath says

He (Ludacris) was referring to a Rolling Stone interview in which Mr. Obama mentioned Ludacris, Jay-Z and Russell Simmons as “great talents and great businessmen.” He also said that “it would be nice if I could have my daughters listen to their music without me worrying that they were getting bad images of themselves.”

Obama is an ass. Won’t even stand up for his own daughters, sends a press flack to denounce Ludacris’ songs so he can remain one step removed.

Thank you, No Quarter! I sent this to Susan last night as soon as I saw it. I’m glad I’m not the only one appalled at what a fraud he is. Of course his cute little one (Sasha) is singing along. He’s playing that shit in the car! And Michelle is probably smiling right there in the passenger seat of their Volvo, with it’s well inflated tires.

So if his younger daughter is singing along, his older daughter can hear all of this filth. He doesn’t give a shit about the misogyny in these songs and neither does Michelle.

Comment by AnnieCarmel | 2008-08-02 15:06:19

With this guy it’ll always be $$$ over morals or character. It appears that the only thing he’s developed is his knowledge of thugs and how to operate with them. The whole of that culture tries to glamorize and glorify coarse, low language, crass behavior and a vulgar lifestyle that demeans women in particular and devalues people in general of all colors.

Not the defender of the Constitution of the USA I want to see…even in the Senate much less the WH. By the way Obamas, it’s not even a recipe for success for social climbing.

BREAKING: Obama supporters in bookstores keeping Dr. Jerome Corsi’s Obama Nation book off shelves by refusing to put books out for sale
Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized

VIA Politically Drunk

This, like the sudden attacks on most anti-Obama blogs on Blogspot.com a month ago, can’t be a coincidence.

Here in Chicago, we had problems getting Obama Nation at the Borders on Broadway at Diversey. It was nowhere to be found on store shelves…it did not have a display in front…it was like the book didn’t exist. This morning, we asked a store employee for it, and she said she’d never heard of it. And she walked away. Didn’t ask if she could look it up for us, or order it, just walked away.

By the way, we were wearing a DeMcCrats for McCain shirt at the time, so she was already set against us before we even mentioned Obama Nation.

We asked a guy working the register if they had the book, and he looked in the computer and said it had not come in yet. So, we left the Borders without the book, because two Borders employees said they did not have the book, and we did not see the book for sale anywhere. Perhaps they really didn’t have Obama Nation in the store — but if you follow the link above, you’ll see reports from many others who had similar experiences, where store employees are refusing to stock Obama Nation on shelves in liberal Obama leaning cities, like Chicago.

This is very similar to the coordinated attacks that brought down anti-Obama blogs on Blogspot (the reason, incidentally, that we moved HillBuzz over to WordPress.com).

It might be a good idea to start making calls to Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Waldenbooks corporate offices to let them know how much profit they are losing with store employees protecting Obama by refusing to let customers purchase copies of a book that, from the accounts in the link above, seem to be in the back rooms of the stores, sitting in boxes, unshelved.

We worked in a bookstore in high school: every box had to be opened, received, its contents scanned, and shelved that same day. No exceptions.

Can’t imagine things have changed that much in 20 years

Comment by Annagain | 2008-08-02 14:34:03

I called the Borders store in Monterey yesterday morning and spoke to a man who sounded like an assistant managerial type. Yes, they have it and would I like to have one put on hold? Picked it up in the afternoon. He mentioned that they’d be open until 2am because they were having a big event for latest book in the teen Vampire series and therefore I could come in anytime. There were a few on the “new arrivals” shelf but none in the window. I didn’t get any attitude from the clerks but then I’m told that I’m a “no nonsense” kinda gal and it shows…and indeed it was waiting for me behind the counter…they even gave me a 40% off card.

Chicago though…probably hard core nasty Obamabots. My attitude? You are a Retail Sales Clerk and you are there to make me happy and if you fail, there will be a price that you will pay.
So give them an earful, Jan…in the nicest possible way, of course.

I just bought the book Friday at the Borders on State and Randolph and to my surprise, it was on full display. I was ready for a confrontation with anyone though.

A woman did come up to me on the street as I was waiting for a bus and she asked me if I knew that Corsi had something to do with the John Kerry swiftboating. I smiled and told her yes. She looked lost as to what to do next. I told her that Obama was going down as she walked away.

I’m ready for anything though because there are a lot of young Obots here in Chicago.

Comment by chezmadame | 2008-08-02 14:33:46

I know that this is off topic, but there are reports that Obama supporters who work in book stores are refusing to display the new book Obama Nation.

There are some Chicago area Borders Book Store employees who claim “never to have heard of it”. They then walk away from the customer without checking inventory.

Fortunately, Borders has a store inventory search function on its webpage. Here’s a link for availability of the book in stores in the Chicago area.

http://www.borders.com/online/store/OLRLocatorResults?within=100&all_stores=10&productId=58257412&id=58257412&sku=1416598065&VIEWNAME=OnlineReserveListView&ERRORVIEWNAME=OnlineReserveListView&zipCode=60601&x=21&y=8

Contact Borders corporate offices if you get any baloney about the book not being available.

Corporate isn’t happy when bush league politial “activists” cut into profit through proactive censorship.

Obama agrees to three fall debates, chances for town halls dim
Obama’s campaign released a letter this afternoon from campaign manager David Plouffe to the Commission on Presidential Debates only agreeing to the traditional three sanctioned fall debates and single vice-presidential forum.

“Due to the late date of the two parties’ nominating conventions, and the relatively short period between the end of the conventions and the first proposed debate, it is likely that the four Commission debates will be the sole series of debates in the fall campaign,” Plouffe writes.

Comment by steven Mather | 2008-08-02 15:23:51

I worked the town halls for a candidate who was the prohibitive favorite. The rules for the party were to avoid debates and town halls, if it was likely that they could damage the candidate and vice versa. Typically, debates and town halls are avoided because they are not entirely controlled, which increases the likelihood that something bad could occur to your candidate, unless your opponent is notably weaker. The typical reasons for avoiding town halls are scheduling concerns or the desire to avoid political events so you can meet people one-on-one to discuss their concerns

It is significant that McCain made the calls for the town halls when he was seen as a weak candidate. Further, he accepts town halls, such as the one at the military base that Obama declined, because Obama is ducking them, which looks good for McCain. This is an interesting development because one of the arguments for choosing Obama is that he is a great public speaker. By avoiding town halls, Obama is undercutting his own perceived strength. Nonetheless, McCain is no longer calling Obama out because he no longer looks weak against Obama.

Comment by Lyn | 2008-08-02 17:00:34

This video needs to be sent to the MSM. Maybe Hannity would show it, since he really dislikes Obama. The other night Hannity was laughing his azz off, over Obama’s comments about inflating our tires. It was so funny. He’s not even qualified to raise 2 little girls. He is B.S., this race is B.S., the DNC and Media are B.S.

Too good to see the wounded soldiers, since he couldn’t bring cameras for his glamour shots. Going to Trinity Church for 20yrs, Rev. Wright is his mentor, married him, baptised his girls and subjected them to the anti-American sermons. Um lets see, who else, Rezco, Ayers, Odinga, Auchi, Meeks, Khalidi, Drug user, LIAR and the list goes on and on.

All of the other guests blasted Brown for listening to such atrocious music. Brown and Obama, sitting in a tree (next to one of the slum apartments in Chicago) kissing (no on the mouth).

Obama is sort of like a 10 year old boy — I mean he is stuck at the maturity level of a 10 year old boy — and he will never get beyond that.

Do we want a 10 year old kid as President?

Not to belittle all 10 year old boys — seems to me that few children at 10 are more mature than most adults. But Obama is just stuck — lack of empathy, social awareness — and he believes the world revolves around his ego.

Isn’t 10 also when boys have secret – boy’s only tree houses? Seems like this pre-adolescent phase is important in shaping the adult to be. Obama just never got to the “to be” stage of being an adult.

There was a photo of Obama and a hip hop character on NQ yesterday — and this is where I saw the 10 year old lurking in Obama’s body. It wasn’t an adult standing there — it was tha 10 year old child. Strange photo — photos are powerful — they capture and freeze a moment in time.

I don’t think he had any clue of the amount of scrutiny that he could expect. I think he thought that it would be like it always was in Chicago … ask me no questions and I’ll forget that you asked.

Northwest Rain — Obama is a preteen who thinks he’s from the Hood. I AIN’T DOWN WITH THAT. The career in which Obama would have excelled is acting. His accent changes with each audience. He is a nerd who wants to be cool but he also wants to be King of the World. When the Democrats F**k it up they really F**k it up. The list of people Obama is afraid of is almost longer than the list of people under the bus. The one that gets me is his not going to a Town Meeting with the Military or going to see our wounded soldiers in Germany. It would seem that the only reason to go overseas if you aren’t President is to connect with Americans abroad and with 2 wars going on our Military and their needs should come first.

LOVE Palin!

did u see her on Kudlow the other night?

here:

…….Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has exactly the high energy, political toughness, and conservative reform message that would boost Sen. John McCain’s presidential run if Big Mac were to put her on the ticket. In an interview last evening on CNBC, Palin was very clear on her drill, drill, drill message for Alaska and the rest of the U.S., along with her strong supply-side tax-cutting and free-market economic views. She did not shirk from questions about an investigation of her firing the state’s safety commissioner. She told us she has nothing to hide — let them bring it on.

Palin is dealing with Alaska’s culture of corruption by supporting all manner of reform and investigation. She basically dissed Ted Stevens, calling him a distraction. She then talked about cleansing the Republican party of all the pork-barrel corruption that cost it the congressional election of November 2006.

Palin’s response to all the vice-presidential talk is fascinating. It was a point of view I have never heard before and it underscored her independence. I have interviewed all the veep prospects, and I still have Gov. Palin at the top of my list. ……

Ludacris’ latest rap bothers me beyond the vileness of his lyrics. I grew up listening to rap music in the early 80s. It wasn’t mainstream at the time, but it meant a lot to my brothers and me. We grew up in redneck America and when you find it hard to relate to country music–rap music was a godsend.

Rap artists were rapping about issues and problems that we could relate to personally. It could be silly, fun, but also filled with socially conscious lyrics of the time.

Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five’s “The Message” is the best rap song ever and I could definitely relate to the chorus:

Don’t push me ‘cuz I’m close to the edge
I’m trying not to lose my head
It’s like a jungle sometimes
It makes me wonder how I keep from goin’ under

I will allow my kids to listen to Old School rap music, but absolutely no Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, or any of the other rappers that don’t appreciate or understand what the genre held for many of us.

Comment by bemused | 2008-08-02 17:40:09

Comment by RepublicanChick | 2008-08-02 15:17:50

Politically incorrect is one thing, but the vileness of the lyrics when one has no problems believing that Ludacris believes it personally—that’s a whole different story.

As my Mom says, “you’re known by the company you keep”. No thank you Obama.

Comment by james | 2008-08-02 15:51:12

It would be a fair observation to say that I generally detest rap music. I consider a lot of it vile and morally corrosive. Others see it as honest social commentary and a true reflection of one aspect of urban American culture. Judging from the stories I see on the news, it may well be.

I find myself shamelessly enjoying Quentin Tarantino movies. They don’t exactly promote my personal moral precepts. A lot of American kids submerge themselves regularly for hours on end into the amorality and immorality of Grand Theft Auto, Doom, etc. For most it’s harmless entertainment. For others it’s probably dangerous subliminal programming.

I can’t automatically write off everyone who doesn’t share my thinking on stuff like this. I just avoid what I disapprove of and opine about it if asked.

Comment by Morgan | 2008-08-02 23:00:28

As an adult he can listen to what he wants, it makes him sort of a douchebag but not unfit for public office.

However, if he lets his 3 year-old daughter listen to it, he’s an idiot. Then, if he feigns outrage at lyrics less offensive than those he lets his daughter listen to, he’s a liar and a hypocrite and a blowhard etc etc etc. And unfit for office in my opinion.

Nothing but lies comes from his mouth. I doubt he could tell the truth. I won’t forget his 99cent song “and a bitch ain’t one of em” at one of his “pep” rallys. Flipping Hillary off (oh, but he was only scratching), yeah, and I was born yesterday. I had trouble signing on last night or I should say staying on. I kept getting a message that internet Explorer was having problems. Figures. I ordered my book by Corsi from Amazon on 8-1 and it shipped today. Doesn’t Soros own stock in some of these book stores. That youtube video disgusts me. McCain should use that video in a commercial. There is no excuse regardless of your race to allow your young daughter listen to that mess. Maybe when she’s a teenager when parents stop having absolute control of their children, but not when they are still in elementary school. My mom told me to cut that s*&t off when I would turn on rap in the car when I was in middle school. One of my black friends would joke that when she was in high school, her father threw her CDs in the fireplace and told her he didn’t want her listening to lyrics about hos and bitches or violence against other people. Her father was a responsible black man with the judgment to realize that he wanted his daughter to respect herself and not buy into those lyrics about black women or any woman being some man’s bitch. Shame on Obama.

Comment by wodiej | 2008-08-02 15:32:17

Different cultures have different levels of what is acceptable to them. That in itself is part of Barack’s problem. His level of what is morally acceptable is way off course of the nation as a Whole.

Overall the majority of people are protective of their children and find rap music violent, vulgar and nasty. I personally do not see any musical value in something like this. I do not like all music types but I appreciate most of it because it has value. It is saying something meaningful to someone. What is meaningful about rap music such as Snoop Dogg?? NOTHING. It is garbage and people are allowing their kids to be poisoned by it.

Add this vulgar and demonizing music to Obama’s long list of poor judgment. He’s toast.

Comment by candymarl | 2008-08-02 15:32:38

If Obama doesn’t like this kind of music then he should set the example. Don’t listen to it and don’t let his small children listen to it.

He’s trying to play all sides. Keep the rappers on his side to help get out the young AA vote. Also the young white voters. They buy more rap music than any other demographic.

He’s trying to convince older AA’s that ‘he doesn’t really like the stuff’.

He’s trying to convince older white voters he’s just like them and can’t stand the stuff.

Who knows where he stands on anything? It depends on whom he talks to on any given day. Sometimes it depends on the time of day.

If he makes it to the WH this type of pandering could lead to international chaos.

The candidate said he thought rap music was also helping to break down barriers within the music world. Indeed it was reported last month that Obama will make a cameo performance on the rap singer Q-Tip’s next album….

“I am troubled sometimes by the misogyny and materialism of a lot of rap lyrics,” he said, “but I think the genius of the art form has shifted the culture and helped to desegregate music.”

He said the hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and the rappers Jay-Z and Ludacris were “great talents and great businessmen”.

Well, I’m glad he’s troubled sometimes.

I think at this point NoQuarter is having its “Sister Soujah Moment” 100% of the time. C’mon: the music you listen to doesn’t define your values, any more than being a fan of movies like “Pulp Fiction” makes you a violent person. I’m actually glad to have a presidential candidate with more interesting tastes in music than Fleetwood Mac or John Mellencamp.

By the way, most people know this song from the totally different radio version, with all these references excised; how do you know Obama’s heard the original? What’s that? You don’t?

Besides, Obama’s pretty far away from the Geto Boys, personality-wise: I’m not sure the “gangsta rap” charge sticks to him any more than it would stick to TIger Woods. Nice try, though.

First of all Obama doesn’t know what his policies are he changes his mind so much. Second, the President is the person who is leading a country built on democracy, liberty, freedom. If he is a shitty role model, that wouldn’t stand for much would it?

And furthermore, I don’t care what the radio version is, there is a CD of it and it’s vulgar and nasty. I wouldn’t let my kids listen to anyone who sang music like that regardless of which version it was. Why? Shitty role model.

JKFritz — What the hell do you think a President is but a role model for the American people–who represents us at home and abroad with dignity. Someone we can give our Respect to. I have no idea where you’re coming from but you are clueless.

Comment by Morgan | 2008-08-02 23:08:54

For me it’s nothing to do with the music– it’s his hypocrisy. Obviously a fan of the music, it’s on his iPod, his daughter listens, whatever. Now suddenly he’s offended and concerned about the kids with the new Ludacris song? That’s just lightweight, weak-ass, pandering. The dude is empty.

Besides, Obama’s pretty far away from the Geto Boys, personality-wise: I’m not sure the “gangsta rap” charge sticks to him any more than it would stick to TIger Woods. Nice try, though.

Why is it that you can only draw a comparison to an AA athelete? Whose racist here, ma man?

Comment by JKFriz | 2008-08-02 16:00:02

Uh, I wasn’t calling anyone racist. So yeah, not sure what that’s about.

But apparently you missed the 10 million times Obama’s been compared to Tiger Woods in the media – was that racist, then?

Comment by imustprotest | 2008-08-02 16:06:39

I’d love to be compared to Tiger Woods. But with my short game, alas, more like Tony the Tiger.

I just did a search on what exactly “drop it like it’s hot” means in rap lingo, and it turns out that it is about girls dropping their butts real low to the ground and shaking them like you commonly see in rap videos, where it looks to me like they are simulating sex acts.
That’s a great way to break in a three year old, ain’t it bud?
Of course, I’m a cynic…what do I know?

Comment by katmandu | 2008-08-02 16:11:09

Good find. I just reminded my friends in Virginia — remember how much offense we took when George Allen said Macaca? The Virginia democratic Party made macaca a rallying cry, as well it should have. What will it say now?

Comment by s. hall | 2008-08-02 19:32:27

JKFritz — Music like this does define our values. If Obama stands for Ho’s and killing he has no values. He should be ashamed but no one ever taught him right from wrong.

Comment by OxyCon | 2008-08-02 15:41:27

The reason why Obama loves and associates with rap music so much is because they are peas in a pod. There are only two kinds of rap songs.
One in which the lyrics are nothing but the rapper talking about how f’n great they are. This is the kind Obama likes, since he is so much in love with himself and can’t stop talking about how great he is.
The other kind of rap song is nothing but the rapper telling girls to shake their butts.
So you have the “Ain’t I great” rap songs that Obama is so much like, then you have your “booty, booty, booty” rap songs.
I’ll take soul, funk and Motown any day of the week, but you can keep the degenerate rap crap.
That’s my “cynical” opinion, for what it’s worth.

Comment by wodiej | 2008-08-02 16:29:51

agree, I love the Temptations, Four Tops, O Jays. Good music and it wasn’t nasty.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-08-02 19:35:49

Notice everything about Obama is about HATE. Preacher Wright and his hatred for our country and the White Race. Bill Ayers who bombed this country, Louis Farrahkan who hates this country and the Jews and now we have the hate filled rappers. Seems to me there is a duality about Obama that is frightening.

Comment by PS | 2008-08-02 15:44:42

Oh, you know Barky called the rapper and told him…”Don’t worry what we’re saying about ya to the press. I loved the song, my kids love it, it’s on my I-Pod…you know I’m just messing with ya.”

Comment by imustprotest | 2008-08-02 16:12:26

Comment by Katmoon | 2008-08-02 17:10:05

Yep, that’s why he is rumored to open for Kanye at Lollopolooza, he doesn’t have any problems being associated with rap artists, he should be more selective, in all he chooses to do and say. It reflects on his character and judgement. Not only is the Luda rap not of my taste nor tolerance, I find it distressing that a 47 year old man has to go around pretending to be the cool young guy. It doesn’t look good, it looks immature and smacks of poor judgment. It’s one thing to have support of the famous it’s totally different to pander to the young via the venue where their expression lies. It’s similar to going to a church you don’t support it’s all a means and way of using people, a big pretense, and this is how he is defining himself.

I have found the perfect description of Ibama. Let me know what you think.

Ibama is the embodiment of a slimy scheming weasel, who after meeting, you have an uncontrollable urge to wash your hands.

Ibama is a combination of Eddie Haskel, and JJ Jefferson, the two lamest connivers of TV History.

I would love to hear the cheers of O-BA-MA drowned out by ED-Y… ED-Y… ED-Y at all of his rallies, and especially at the coronation.

Since Eddie Haskel is a white kid, it would be hard to pin racism on that.

What say you?

Thank you for printing those lyrics. As one who is
not a fan and does not listen to current rap music,
I am so disgusted, it is hard to describe.
The use of young women as “props” in videos has galled me for years. These gangsta rap videos are
a special “nasty” all their own, due to tearing down of women, combining profanity, violence and intimidation and blatant sexualization of young women. How OB can be preaching to parents and the
black community one day on how they should raising
their children and this is what he’s “modeling for
the country” as good parenting?
So, let’s recap. Lecture AA and others in order to
curry favor with the white vote.
Call Laudacris “talented” despite the crap that he
put out and the supreme insult to Sen. Clinton, to
keep favor with your under “30″ crowd!
And…you are gong to “heal our broken souls?
Can someone help us all???
We can’t be the ONLY who see the lunacy of what’s
happening! As Denver draws nearer people are really
getting p.o.’d at the superD’s. People at the beack
in NY talking about how OB resorts to the “crying
racism” when he in a tight spot. They were linking
back to the primary. These folks were NOT Clinton
supporters. They commented, “how nimble he is at keeping the MSM from focusing on his weaknesses”.
Oh, I don’t know…if you look hard enough they are
there for ALL to see.

The other night on a FOX TV show somebody mentioned there are alternate versions to rap music.

Not defending O here, but I wonder if there really are OK, non-offensive versions.

Comment by wodiej | 2008-08-02 16:24:42

some music does have alternate versions that are “cleaner”. However, I fail to see the purpose or value in any music that is violent and vulgar.

Yes, those are the versions they tend to show on MTV due to protests by parents groups. However, when you buy the CD the original lyrics are there.

Kids buy the CDs.

There you go.

Comment by Independent voter | 2008-08-02 16:43:30

Thanks.

So, if approached on this, O could just claim all his kids listen to is the “clean” version.

The whole wiggle room scenario.

Comment by Morgan | 2008-08-02 23:17:50

I’m sure there’s a version where “drop it like it’s hot” refers to something besides a female rear-end, maybe it’s a call for everyone to drop their guns and give peace a chance.

I am a huge fan of the female rear-end, and ‘dropping it’ anywhere near me is not going to upset me. But no amount of bleeping or rearranged lyrics is going to make it an appropriate song or dance for a 3 year-old. And then, feigning indignation about a new song that’s less offensive? That’s just weak sauce.

Comment by Ferdberfle | 2008-08-02 16:50:18

Cleaner versions of crap are still crap.

Comment by Chicago Joe | 2008-08-02 18:59:21

they are not playing the clean version on WGCI, which was the radio station he was talking about on the clip. “I love GCI,” implying that he and his daughters listened to that music on the station.

HAHA. Yeah, so I like that song, but I think it’s hilarious to see Obama exposed as a fraud. Pandering to blacks by pretending to be ‘down’. That video was awkward to watch. He looked just as out of place there as John Kerry or Mitt Romney would have. This is what I liked about Bill Clinton: He was cool, because he was cool. He didn’t have to pretend to be somebody he wasn’t to get mass appeal. Pretending is all Obama ever does.

Comment by Johnny at Work | 2008-08-03 00:15:40

YES!

All the great leaders are their own man (or woman). They don’t need to be anyone else. They are not the second coming of anyone.

Who were JFK, RFK, MLK, FDR, Reagan, Truman, Eisenhower, or either of the Clintons imitating? JUST THEMSELVES!

Obama is as phony as a ten dollar Rolex.

The primary definition of the term is as stated by a commenter above.

(1) Referring to a dance move where a girl drops her ass to the floor and gets freaky.

Comment by SeeSee | 2008-08-02 18:25:13

This open acceptance of violent, vulgar lyrics by those who aspire to positions of leadership is why Ludicrous and others continue to produce them. Where is the outrage? Where is Jesse Jackson Jr and where is Al Sharpton? This is exactly what Imus defenders referred to — the double-standard.

Comment by TeakwoodKite | 2008-08-02 18:33:54

Astroturfing has amplifiy to use stereotypes for traction.

BO has some really funky parenting skills.

Comment by Kelly | 2008-08-02 18:34:29

I wrote a song for obama’s coronation.

Obama, Obama! Who’s your momma?
Obama. Oh, the drama!

I’m black, in case you missed it,
If you say it, I’m gonna talk shit.
I got a funny name, it will scare ya,
Just try to use it, come on I dare ya!

I’m Barry. From the hoods of Hawaii,
Private schools, to my place as Messiah.
I sell change and hope at a discount,
Use the rope-a-dope until the count out.

I am the One, and this is the Year Zero,
I’m God Damn America’s first black action hero.
I’m tough. I’ll bring a gun to a knife fight.
Giving Hillary the bird, what a sight! Am I right?

Typical white women, just dirt on my shoulder.
Iron my shirt and carve my face on that boulder.
Rise up! Mount Rushmore is waiting,
What’s the harm in a little race-baiting?

I’m the One, and did I mention, “I’m black”?
I say what I want; stop distracting with facts.
I was for it, before I was against it.
Call me on it, and I’ll call you racist.

This isn’t really about personal taste as someone here stated. It’s about the judgment of a man who wants to be president. Since Obama’s resume for the job is so thin, he has cited his supposedly superior judgment as his main qualifying asset. Here we are presented with a video of Obama publicly stating that his then 3-year-old sings along to a rap song than contains (by almost anyone’s standards) misongynistic, violent, vile language.

By at least several accounts, Obama planned to run for the presidency for some time and he almost certainly planned to do so by 2004 when I imagine this video was made. Did he think that this video wouldn’t surface? Did he think that, if it did surface, his comments about his very young daughter wouldn’t raise doubts about his judgment? What was he thinking?

Wasn’t it Michelle who stated, “One of the things…the important aspects of this race… is role modeling – what good families should look like.” I think that most people would agree that good families don’t allow their small children to be exposed to such hate and violence. As Michelle has said, “If you can’t run your own house, you certainly can’t run the White House.”

Notice the occupants of the jailhouse in the country?
This is not a racist remark but the truth of the matter. Product of disrespectful culture being promoted by a phony DNC presidential candidate.
He is breeding the future rude generation of narcissists.Husband and wife are team in developing their daughters to grow-up like them, the role models of arrogance.
BTW, with their wealth, they cannot afford to buy a television for the Kenyan grandma, who has to borrow a neighbor’s tv, so she could watch her grandson during the primaries? As for Michelle’s mom,is she still leaving in her old cramped apartment, as she described? A perfect example of respect and love.

If you read Obama’s denouncing Luda, first of all it isn’t even Obama. It a message coming from his campaign. Obama doesn’t even bother to address it personally, he gets one of his surrogates to handle it.

And also, the memo talks about children. Not once has Obama ever bothered to mention women. Not when Randi Rhodes called us whores. Not when Bernie Mac made “ho” jokes. If Obama even bothers to issue a half assed denouncement, you’ll notice he only speaks of the children, the family. He has never apologized to women for his behavior or the behavior of his supporters and associates. I’m not sure he even acknowledges our presence. He will come November.

Especially when the title itself is plenty inappropriate for a young girl. Guys essentially cheering her to drop her rear to the floor and shake it for their pleasure.

As I say, for an adult woman, voluntarily, I will be first in line to enjoy the view. But there’s nada for children in there, in any version. And kids DO do the dance, look up the title on YouTube and see how many of the people attempting to ‘drop it’ are waaay young. Kind of sad, plus it slows me down looking for some real women ;)

I’m just kidding around, I mean I am a huge fan of the adult female form, I just don’t want to offend any of the kind ladies here.
