Anyone who has read the bible(New Testament) will recognize the "in the world, but not of it" phrase. This was used to describe Jesus. I see Brooks's choice of words on this to be a subtle message to evangelicals. How many times have we seen him compared to Jesus, the second coming? The more I read these jounalists, the more I think we need a cultural revolution in this country. You can tell a lot about a person when they can keep friends for their whole lives. People who can hold friends that long love deeply, know compromise, know how to work well and play well with others. I have always wondered why Obama doesn't seem to have any, except, of course, the occasional freak show minister, racist anti-American people, terrorists, and the like.
